Sarah Jessica Parker says getting a SJP Collection store was a ‘long process’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jessica Parker says getting a SJP Collection store was a “long process”.
The ex ‘Sex and the City’ star remarked it feels the process of getting a brick and mortar flagship boutique for her line of shoes has been happening “forever” when it opened on Manhattan’s Bleecker Street.
The 57-year-old actress told Extra: Here we are. It’s been a long process and we’ve been building this store up for, it feels like forever now, but for a lot of months.”
Sarah Jessica – who has son James, 20, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, 13, with her ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ star husband Matthew Broderick, 60 – called the round the block queues “amusing and flattering”.
She said: “It’s nice… The kind of attention that exists outside the windows are amusing and flattering, but I think when people come in and they actually shop and they wanna be here and they keep trying on shoes and they’re asking questions about the brand, and asking really informed smart consumer questions… That’s the part that’s the most rewarding because as you know retail is only about the human connection, that’s all that matters.”
The ‘And Just Like That’ star even designed a shoe for the hotly anticipated second season of the spin-off to the 90s show- which aired on HBO and starred Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – from “a fake old Italian brand called Duchessa.”
Sarah Jessica said: “We did it for them, for the show and it was a fake old Italian brand called Duchessa.”

Quannah Chasinghorse says Indigenous beauty is ‘missing in mainstream media’

OHMYGOSSIP — Quannah Chasinghorse says Indigenous beauty is “missing in mainstream media”.
The John Paul Mitchell System ambassador – who is part of the Han Gwich’in and Oglala Lakota tribes – believes that Native culture has their “own beauty”.
The 20-year-old model told Allure magazine: “In the last two years, there have been a lot of Indigenous kids— very young kids — who are struggling with their appearance or identity. Because, like you said, there’s so much missing in mainstream media. Native people, we don’t meet those beauty standards. We have our own beauty.”
Quannah believes it’s “important” to change the “narrative’ to stop ignorant comments that lead to a destruction of her community’s self esteem.
“A lot of young Native boys will want to cut their hair off because they get bullied or teased. In this one case two years ago, this little boy got bullied so badly that when he was in the bathroom, kids chopped off his braid. And so, having that representation, to tell these stories, to show them that this is normal, that boys and men can have long hair and be proud of it, and also represent their culture in a beautiful way… It’s so important to change that narrative so that our young kids don’t have to worry about being bullied in school, or won’t have to worry about covering up a part of themselves, or changing a part of themselves to fit that unrealistic beauty standard.”
The Vogue Mexico cover girl explained the meaning behind the many various “kinds of different hairstyles” from her culture and how they connect them to their past.
Quannah said: “For my people, in my culture and many Native American cultures, we’ve always had long hair and practiced different styles of braiding, or even had different styles of buns, and all kinds of different hairstyles.
“The three strands [of a braid] represent mind, body, and spirit. And when you’re braiding, you’re connecting your mind, body, and spirit, and you’re connecting yourself to your ancestors, your wisdom because your hair carries all of the years of wisdom with you. And when someone passes away in your family or something tragic happens and you cut your hair out of grief, that’s just cutting off that extra weight of the loss and the hurt and all of the years of knowing that person. That was a tactic of grief, cutting your hair and growing new hair for a new journey.”

The ‘Ay!’ singer opted for a silver custom Dole and Gabbana suit accented with a crystal harness for the event.

“The jacket has] a flare at the waist that feels a little surreal and a little playful.”
Kelly opted for his favoured super skinny trousers.
His stylist laughed: “With that stiff, foil-like fabric, the pants basically stand up on their own.”

The ‘Baywatch’ star says her signature scent changes daily depending on what mood she is in.
She said: “I’m into rose at the moment, so I’ve been using the Diptyque Rose scent. I’m very moody with my scents and winter is making me feel ‘rosy’. I also moisturise my whole body, including my hands twice a day during the winter months – in the morning and at night. But hydration in any form.”

Marc Jacobs admitted facelift to stop people talking s***

OHMYGOSSIP — Marc Jacobs is always honest about his cosmetic surgery so people can’t “talk s***” about him.
The 59-year-old fashion designer was candid about going under the knife in 2021 and praised by many for opening up about his $50,000 treatment.
Marc insists transparency is second nature to him as his happiness derives from staying true to himself.
Speaking to ELLE, he said: “I prefer to be as honest and upfront as I possibly can because it helps me to live a better life. I don’t want secrets and I don’t want shame in my life so I revealed my truth for myself. It makes me feel better but also when other people decide to talk s**t I’m like, ‘You can’t really say anything I haven’t already said myself.'”
Jacobs has had several cosmetic procedures over a period of a few years, which include Botox and thread lifts.
He added: “It’s interesting though, is surgery any different to make-up? If I’m perfect as I am what do I need make-up for? I didn’t get surgery to be the perfect me, I got surgery because I had a wrinkly neck and I wanted it to be tighter. But, if I didn’t do the surgery I’d just have a perfectly wrinkled neck.”
In a previous interview with the New York Post newspaper, Marc hit out at celebrities who deny going under the knife stating that “there’s no shame in being vain”.
He said: “It seems so crazy when an actor or public figure denies that they’ve done something, and they say like, ‘Oh, it’s olive oil, I bathe in seltzer.’ It’s like, ‘Come on.’ Like all those things might be true, but they’re not why your neck is tight.
“I think you just need to start a conversation, and then maybe that will have a resounding echo that helps people feel less ashamed. I just don’t think there’s shame in being vain.”

In an appearance on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, she said: “I can’t wait to see myself old. I always said I’d recognise myself when I was old in the mirror.
“I want to let my hair go kind of natural grey, put my little straw hat on, don’t wear make-up. I mean, that’s my comfortable kind of state.”
Despite forging a career based solely on her looks, the ’90s blonde bombshell never considered herself attractive so finds it easy to adapt.
She added: “A lot of women, I think, that kind of are these classic beauties have a really hard time with ageing.
“I never felt that I was any kind of great beauty, ever. I always felt a little funny looking, so I don’t think it’s as hard for me, and I don’t want to chase that, and I don’t want to do all the crazy s*** to myself.”
Pamela also hit out at the ageism in Hollywood and condemned the double standards that apply to women in the entertainment industry.
She said: “When I was wearing make-up before, everyone told me not to wear make-up. Now I’m old, and now I just want to kind of let it happen.”

Gigi Hadid ‘terrified’ of facials

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid is “terrified” of facials.
The 27-year-old model admitted she isn’t a skincare expert and has only ever undergone the beauty treatment once in her life, before last year’s Met Gala and she made sure she had the procedure carried out by someone she trusted, a therapist recommended by her sister, fellow model Bella Hadid.
She confessed to WSJ. magazine: “I’m not much of a skin-care guru. I’m terrified of facials. I’ve had one in my life, before the last Met Ball, because I went to someone who works on my sister and one of my best friends, and I really trust them. But I just like to keep it simple.”
While she avoids facials, Gigi undergoes other wellness rituals, including visiting a chiropractor to “get recalibrated”.
She added: “Doing the job that I do, it can be very physical. Oh, I guess a New Year’s resolution [I have] is I’ll try to treat myself to a massage a little more.”
When it comes to exercise, the 27-year-old beauty likes to involve her and ex-partner Zayn Malik’s two-year-old daughter Khai.
Discussing her exercise regime, she quipped: “Running after my two year old.
“We walk a lot. We do yoga together. With lifting her and running around all day and going to the park, I get moving.”
Though she looks glamorous on the red carpet and the runway, the Guest in Residence founder admitted her wardrobe is much more low-key when she’s not working.
She said: “When I’m in Pennsylvania at my farmhouse, every day is sweatpants and a thermal shirt layered with a Guest in Residence sweater and cashmere socks.
“In New York, if it’s a park day, I layer up: leggings under denim or sweats and then a thermal shirt or a sweater and my dad’s vintage coat that I pretty much wear every day with a baseball cap. To go to work, I keep it pretty simple.”

He noted: “As a singer I always feel like I’m killing two birds with one stone by drinking a lot of water and resting, because I’m helping my voice and my skin.”
And he has also turned bath time into a family affair for kids Luna, six, Miles, three, and newborn baby Esti.
Reflecting on practicing self-care with their children, John said: “It’s a way for us to bond with the kids and, um, show them how to take care of themselves.”
