Chloe Takayanagi told The Hollywood Reporter: “We wanted to go very classic and timeless for this night.
“It’s his first Oscars, so we wanted his look to feel really elegant and traditional. Perhaps if he attends another Oscar night in the future, we can have a bit more fun with it.
“But for this one, ultra-classic was the definite choice, and I know Ke agrees.
“The suit arrived on Monday, and when he tried it one for the first time [on Wednesday], he said, ‘It’s the most beautiful tux I’ve ever worn.”
The 51-year-old star – who scooped the Best Actor in a Supporting Role gong – accessorised with a vintage Fred Leighton brooch, which featured a small pansy flower made from platinum, diamonds and velvet.
Chloe said of the piece: “From the moment I started looking at Fred Leighton’s vintage pieces, this was the one that really stood out.
“It really was love at first sight, and looks perfect on Ke’s tuxedo.”
The choice of designer was significant for the actor.
His stylist explained: “Ke’s first appearance for the film was at SXSW [in 2022], and nobody knew anything about the movie at the time.
“So yes, it was a little difficult to get clothes for those early premieres, though I remember Thom Browne and Giorgio Armani generously loaning from the start.”

‘This is inclusivity for inclusivity’s sake!’ Lizzo SLAMS Victoria’s Secret fashion show revival

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo has slammed Victoria’s Secret over the ad campaign for their fashion show revival.
The lingerie brand’s chief financial officer Timothy Johnson revealed on Tuesday (07.03.23) that a “new version” of the show will arrive later in 2023 after a four-year hiatus but the ‘About Damn Time’ hitmaker had seen the campaign video – which features models of various races and sizes – and questioned the validity of the inclusivity shown in the ad.
She tweeted: “This is a win for inclusivity for inclusivity’s sake.
“But if brands start doing this only because they’ve received backlash then what happens when the ‘trends’ change again? Do the CEOs of these companies value true inclusivity? Or do they just value money?”
A spokesperson for Victoria’s Secret Co. has since insisted the brand is committed to championing women, and insisted they are “always innovating and ideating in all spheres of the business to continue to put our customer at the centre of all we do”.
They added to PEOPLE: “As we’ve previously shared, our new brand projection and mission will continue to be our guiding principle.
“This will lead us into new spaces like reclaiming one of our best marketing and entertainment properties to date and turning it on its head to reflect who we are today. We’re excited to share more later this year.”
The annual promotional event ran from 1995 to 2018 and featured Victoria’s Secret Angels, models who were under contract to the company.
But in June 2021, the company confirmed it was moving away from the Angels concept.
After facing criticism over a lack of diversity with its selection of Angels over the years, the company announced it was rebranding and announced The VS Collective, made up of spokespersons including actress Priyanka Chopra, model and skier Eileen Gu, plus-size beauty Paloma Elsesser, and Brazilian model Valentina Sampaio.
‘Baywatch’ star Priyanka said at the time: “As we work together to chart the path forward in a new and impactful way, I’m not only looking forward to developing future collections that are inclusive of all people, but I am most excited for new customers and for those who have always been a customer of Victoria’s Secret to feel represented and like they belong.”
CEO Martin Waters said it’s a “dramatic shift” as the brand turns the focus on what women want and need.
He said in a statement: “At Victoria’s Secret, we are on an incredible journey to become the world’s leding advocate for women. This is a dramatic shift for our brand, and it’s a shift that we embrace from our core.
“These new initiatives are just the beginning. We are energised and humbled by the work ahead of us.”

Millie Bobby Brown: I need a beauty routine!

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown “needs” to have a beauty routine because of her busy schedule.
The 19-year-old actress is known for her role as Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’ and also stars in the ‘Enola Holmes’ film franchise and admitted that taking time out of her hectic lifestyle to complete a 10-minute skincare routine is a must.
She told Parade magazine: “I have a routine because I need routine—I think everyone needs routine. I think it’s really important to be able to have that 10 minutes of your day so that you can focus on yourself and give back what your soul needs.
“So much of the day consists of work, work, work for me, so being able to take that 10 minutes out of my day to drink a bottle of water, sit down, do something I enjoy, play with my animals—you know, even just sit in my office and be able to talk to people, take care of myself, take care of my skin. I think so much of that is what makes me ready for the next day. So that routine is just basically, consists of drinking water, playing with my animals, doing my skincare routine, going to therapy, journaling and doing what I love, creating more goals.”
Millie went on to add that because so much of her daily life is spent putting makeup on and taking it off she has had to find a “balance” consisting of various moisturisers and face washes.
She said: “So much of my day-to-day life is putting makeup on, taking it off, putting makeup on, taking it off and so I found that the balance of that was hydration in my moisturizers and my face washes and really focusing on giving back what your skin is really needing and wanting.”

Priyanka Chopra uses ice on her face

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra uses ice on her face to benefit her skin.
The 40-year-old actress explained that when she is preparing to step in front of the camera, she will often try to wear an eye mask and stick her face into a bowl of ice cubes because of how it benefits her complexion.
She told Harper’s Bazaar UK: “I try to do an eye mask whenever I’m going in front of the camera. Any eye mask that you wanna use, keep it in your fridge overnight and put it on first thing in the morning – it really makes a big difference. If I’m on camera then I will also ice my face. I will use hot tools to make sure that I get good circulation to sculpt my face too. If I don’t have tools, I just use my fingers. This is an old Hollywood-slash-Bollywood trick, one actress told me. If you don’t have ice, just stick your face in a bowl of cold water. Sticking your face in a bowl of ice. It really compacts your face. There have been times that I have done that and it really works! Or at least it has woken me up!”
The ‘Baywatch’ star went on to add that she stays away from soap first thing in the morning because she suffers from dry skin and religiously removes “every ounce” of makeup from her face when she comes home from work.
“For skincare, in the morning, I definitely don’t use any form of soap on my face because I have dry skin. If I need to use a cleanser or something – usually I’ll come fresh-faced out of the shower and I like to do steam if I can – then I will use an oil, a serum, a moisturiser and an eye cream. In the daytime, I use sunblock. At night, I do the same thing but with a cleanser.
“That’s definitely a ritual that I follow. I take off every ounce of makeup from my face because I have to literally wear it every day for my job.

Gigi Hadid: I don’t think I’m the prettiest person in the world

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid was “harder” on her body than she “should have been” at the start of her modelling career.
The 27-year-old supermodel has recalled the early days of her career and how her body wasn’t the right shape for the fashion world at the time.
She told The Sunday Times newspaper: “When I started out I was a heavily trained volleyball player and I had a certain body type from that.
“At that time fashion hadn’t started to get into a more inclusive body-image conversation. I was probably harder on my body than I should have been. I wasn’t starving myself but I was very routined. Since then I’ve got into this idea of body neutrality. I love my body for what it has done but I’m not obsessed with it.”
The trendsetter – who has two-year-old daughter Khai with former partner Zayn Malik – doesn’t see herself as pretty and admits she should “probably” get some Botox, but she doesn’t care enough to change her appearance.
She added: “I don’t think I’m the prettiest person in the world. Some Botox could probably help but I’m not so obsessed with caring that I want to do anything about it.”
Meanwhile, Gigi recently admitted that the COVID-19 lockdown changed her career.
The catwalk beauty explained that lockdown and the birth of her daughter forced her to re-evaluate her lifestyle.
Gigi – who split from Zayn in 2021 – explained: “I got pregnant and I really started to think about what I wanted after, when the world opened back up.
“It kept coming back to just a more stabilised schedule where I’m not in a different country every week.”
Gigi ultimately opted to launch Guest In Residence, a line of cashmere designs.
She said: “This is very stabilising. I have an office that I come to. I know everyone here.
“I don’t have to look a certain way to show up. It’s a different experience for me, and it was the right time because I was ready for that.”

Kourtney Kardashian debuts new platinum blonde hairdo

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian Barker has shown off her new platinum blonde hairdo.
The Poosh founder says she was inspired by her teenage self, who got “bored” and got someone to dye her raven-coloured hair bright white, to bring back her old hair colour.
She captioned a throwback snap alongside her new hairdo on her Instagram Story: “Seventeen-year-old Kourt… strikes again.
“Bored during finals, convinces someone to dye my hair blonde to procrastinate.”
The 43-year-old mother-of-three – who has Mason, 12, Penelope, 10, and seven-year-old Reign with ex-partner Scott Disick – later posted a cryptic post about her trip to Las Vegas and showed off another way of styling her new cropped pixie cut.
The caption read: “Every now and then when your life gets complicated and the weasels start closing in, the only cure is to load up on heinous chemicals and then drive like a b***** from Hollywood to Las Vegas … with the music at top volume and at least a pint of ether.”
Her sister Khloe Kardashian, 38, who was confused by the post, complimented her sibling’s new hair.
She commented: “I have no idea what this caption means, but I love your hair with a side flip!”
Meanwhile, Kourtney recently revealed she always brushes her brows and curls her lashes before leaving the house.
The reality star shared her “light make-up” routine via her team on her Poosh blog and admitted that leaving the house without perfecting her eyebrows and eyelashes is “non-negotiable.”
The blog post read: “Kourt’s hair dries naturally straight, so she doesn’t ever use hot tools unless she’s having her hair done. She also uses a hair towel turban to help protect her strands. Now for the very light makeup routine. First things first, Kourt never leaves the house without brushing her brows and curling her lashes. This is a non-negotiable for her.”
The former ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ star – who is married to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker – was sharing the routines from her “non-glam” days, and, according to the blog post, finishes things up with a “dash of makeup” and a touch of bronzer on her eyelids.
The post added: “When we say non-glam, we’re referring to the days she doesn’t have her hair and makeup squad. Other than that, her life is always slightly glamourous because it’s Kourt and pretty damn fabulous.
“And then for just a dash of makeup, it’s concealer (or a light application of foundation) and bronzer—that’s it. Then she uses bronzer on her eyelids for some definition for the most no-makeup-makeup look. To maintain a natural look with minimal makeup, Kourt uses a face stamper once a month.”
