Gwyneth Paltrow plans to bring Goop Kitchen to New York City

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow is planning on opening a Goop Kitchen in New York City.
The 50-year-old actress and lifestyle guru expanded her Goop brand into the takeout and home delivery food market and after being successful in the LA area, Gwyneth has plans to expand.
The expansion will begin in The Big Apple with the intention to have outlets in other American states.
In an interview with Bazaar.com, Gwyneth was asked if she had plans to open Goop Kitchen in New York City or any other states anytime soon, to which she replied: “We are! We haven’t landed on a date yet – it won’t be this year – but we are hard at work planning, and I guarantee you that we will open in New York City.”
The ‘Shakespeare In Love’ actress is always planning the next Goop product and development, and has just launched the brand’s new Vita-C Brightening Eye Cream.
But when it comes to makeup, the mother-of-two believes less is more.
In fact, Gwyneth – who raises daughter Apple and son Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin and her current spouse Brad Falchuk – wears so few beauty products that she can afford to cut many products out of her daily skincare routine.
In the same interview, she said: “Because I don’t wear a lot of makeup normally, I could probably get away with giving up cleanser, and just use a hot wash cloth on my skin and exfoliate, because what I can’t give up is my face oil and moisturizer.”

Vogue Williams exercises to improve her physical fitness and mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams says exercise is important for her because it improves her mental and physical wellbeing.
The 37-year-old Irish model hits the gym almost every day and as well as feeling the benefits in her body, being active also improves her mental health, so she would advocate exercise for anyone struggling with issues.
In an interview with Waterford Live, Vogue said: “I love training, that’s really good for me. I train almost every day, I love it, but not for long periods – and some days I might just go for a long walk. I just think being outside, being relaxed [is helpful]. That’s why I love running so much, because you’re not really thinking of anything except trying to get to the end of the run.
“I’m a real advocate for people getting out and getting moving. I don’t necessarily think that you should look at training as just to look after your body – of course it’s great for your body, but it’s so good for your mind. And it’s such a nice thing to get into, and once you’re into it, you love it.”
Vogue – who has three children, Theodore, four, Gigi, two, and 11-month-old Otto, with her husband Spencer Matthews – has suffered with anxiety in the past, but she has the condition under control now.
The reality TV star finds that if she limits her intake of alcohol and caffeine then her anxiety is much eased.
Vogue – who hosts a podcast with her 34-year-old spouse Spencer – explained: “I’m all good with [the anxiety] at the moment. It sort of peeks its head up every so often, but I’ve got good ways of dealing with it. I find not drinking too much caffeine and not drinking too much alcohol – alcohol is the worst for me.
“I do still love going out the odd time, but I tend to knock it on the head for weeks on end. I’ve always been like that with alcohol, I’ve never really drank very often, but I find that really can make you feel quite anxious.”
“There are a few things I love doing that will actually relax me. And it’s not just when I’m unwinding. So if I’m doing my podcast – I find it very relaxing to record my podcast, but I’ll always have a candle beside me on my desk and have a really nice set-up, so it’s a really relaxing environment to sit and chat to my friend.”

Naomi Scott: Water and sleep keep me looking my best

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Scott says the best beauty tips she’s learned from being on set are to drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep.
The 29-year-old actress is one of Hollywood’s rising stars thanks to roles in ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Power Rangers’ and she insists if you want to look your best in front of the cameras then hydration and a proper night’s rest are key.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, she said: “When you’re on set, the most important things are the boring habits that everyone tells you: sleep, drinking lots of water and eating right, because ultimately you’re trying to get through a shoot.
“To keep your skin the best it can be, it’s all about drinking enough and sleeping enough. In terms of good skin, it’s all about what you put into your body, not just what you apply onto it.
“Personally, I always have to go to sleep with clean hair, so I wash my hair after every day – I don’t want any product that’s in my hair getting on my skin while I sleep. Other than that, a face massage every now and then is always good, and gets the blood flowing.”
Naomi is famous for her trademark bob haircut, and although she has had to grow it out for her latest role she has vowed to bring her signature style back.
She added: “I have a wonderful hairstylist that cuts my hair – he’s such an artist. The bob that I had at the end of last year was one of my favourites. I had to grow it out for something, but it’s returning next week when I get it cut back in again. For everyday styling, I just make sure I’ve blow dried my fringe how I want it – then I let the rest dry naturally.”

Shawn Mendes: I’ve never been comfortable to be on a best dressed list

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes has always felt like an “impostor” when he has made it onto best dressed fashion lists.
The 24-year-old Canadian musician first shot to fame with his debut album ‘Handwritten’, released in 2015, but despite being a red carpet regular who is praised for his sense of style, the ‘Treat You Better’ hitmaker has never felt comfortable to take credit for his clothing choices, as it’s only recently that he has found his own fashion sense.
In an interview with GQ-Magazine.co.uk, Shawn said: “I’ve always felt like an imposter. Total imposter. I don’t understand it!
“Ultimately, I think a lot of the times I’ve ever made it onto those best-dressed lists or whatever, have I always felt comfortable? Have I looked comfortable?
“I really hate wearing clothes that don’t let me feel like myself. That’s my number one rule and I don’t like wearing something that makes me feel like I’m not in my own skin.
“I think confidence comes with age, as does an understanding of yourself. When you’re younger, there’s a lot of pressure on you, especially when people are watching you and wanting you to look a certain way.
“And so I was trying to put on these outfits, but I didn’t even know who I exactly was inside. So it never felt right.”
Shawn has now collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger – who he was first introduced to at the Met Gala in 2018 – to create a clothing capsule of garments he would want to wear himself.
Hilfiger, 71, insists it was an easy decision to work with Mendes on the Classics Reborn, which has just been released.
Speaking to GQ-Magazine.co.uk, the legendary designer said: “I think girls like him. I think women like him. I think boys like him. Like, young people want to be like him. He just checks all the boxes. He’s definitely in the zeitgeist. We always work with the musicians of the moment, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Shawn Mendes.”

Why Gisele Bundchen has stepped away from the fashion world: ‘Being a model is not really an extension of me…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen has stepped away from the fashion world because being a model feels like “being an actress in a silent movie”.
The 42-year-old catwalk star has been at the top of the industry since the late-90s but Gisele is ambitious to do new things now – which include building a small solar-powered house in the mountains where she can grow all of her own food, and potentially opening a wellness centre – because she feels as though modelling no longer represents who she is as a person.
In an interview with the April issue of Vanity Fair magazine, she said: “I want to do things that I believe are an extension of me.
“Being a model is not really an extension of me… It’s being an actress in a silent movie. I don’t want to be a character in anybody else’s movie. And when I do that, it doesn’t feel as comfortable for me anymore.”
Gisele is still inundated with offers to walk in shows in Paris, and although she is not interested at the moment she will never publicly state she is retired as a model because she doesn’t know what the future will bring.
She explained: “I never say never, because the only thing in life I am certain of is change.”
One thing that has changed in Gisele’s life is her relationship status.
The Brazilian beauty and her NFL player husband Tom Brady finalised their divorce in October 2022 and although they are no longer a couple, Gisele is adamant she will always be Tom’s biggest supporter.
Gisele – who has Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10, with 45-year-old Tom – said: I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever.
“If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”
Gisele’s full interview – conducted by Michelle Ruiz – is available in Vanity Fair’s April issue and on VanityFair.com.

Keira Knightley: This is the best piece of beauty advice I’ve ever been given…

OHMYGOSSIP — Keira Knightley believes that “less is more” when it comes to makeup.
The 37-year-old actress admitted that she used to enjoy wearing a lot of makeup when she was younger but her “approach” to beauty has changed as the years have gone on and she now prefers to relax in the bath with a face mask.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar for their ‘What’s Inside My Beauty Bag?’ series, she said: “The best piece of beauty advice I’ve ever been given is less is more. My approach to beauty has changed over time, I definitely wear a lot less now. I really enjoyed a lot of makeup when I was younger but now I really see a lovely bath with some lovely smelling salts and a face mask as a really gorgeous thing to do. It is a real moment of relaxation and calm, and I really enjoy that.”
The ‘Atonement’ actress has been married to musician James Righton, 39, since 2013 and has Edie, seven as well as thee-year-old Delilah with him and went on to admit that her attitude to beauty has also “changed” since she became a mother.
She added: “My approach to beauty has changed since becoming a mother. I think I enjoy it a lot more. The idea of an expensive cream that smells lovely and feels lovely, I totally appreciate it as the luxury it is. I think as far as makeup goes, I probably do it a lot less but I’m looking for stuff that will give me a quick zhuzh because that’s all I’ve got time for, but I like a good cream!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Saweetie “loves” being able to express herself through fashion.
The 29-year-old rap star – whose real name is Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper- can often be seen posing in garish outfits at glamorous events but explained that she is quite a “moody” person and enjoys being able to convey that through her fashion choices.
She told The Independent: “My signature look is definitely lip gloss and some lashes. I love how I’m able to express my mood through outfits. [My style] is moody, like my sign, because I’m a Cancer! I love to have fun with fashion, there’s no limits.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Closer’ hitmaker went on to add that “women make the world colourful” and believes that feminism is about being “unapologetic.”
She said: “I’m so pro-women. I feel like women make the world colourful. I love to support other women and it’s so cool to see what they are doing with their own art. It’s about being unapologetic, supporting yourself, loving yourself, as well as supporting and loving other women.
Saweetie is also looking forward to her milestone 30th birthday in July and is to continue her tradition of throwing a themed costume party and just needs to decide on a theme after previously encouraging her guests to dress up as 1990s pop icons.
She added: “I always like my birthday parties to have a theme, so everyone can come dressed up.I did Scarface [previously], I did a 90s party, so am trying to figure out what’s next. I’m going to have lots of fun with my family and friends.”

Brooke Shields: ‘My daughters want me to bare total midriff in rock ‘n’ roll outfits!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Shields’ daughters want her to flash far more flesh and hate seeing her in “Upper East Side lady clothes”.
The ‘Blue Lagoon’ actress, 57, has girls Rowan Francis, 19, and Grier Hammond Henchy, 16, with her TV writer second husband Chris Henchy – who she married after she split from her tennis player first spouse Andre Agassi – says her kids constantly give her fashion advice and want her to dress “edgier” by showing off her “total midriff”.
She told People: “They don’t like me in Upper East Side lady clothes – all of my ‘Today’ show wardrobe, whenever I hosted any show – they don’t like that; they like me much edgier.”

Brooke added: “My younger daughter was so beyond. I think it’s the only time she’s ever just marvelled (at one of my outfits) and been proud of me.
“She’s like, ‘How did you know about that?’ I said, ‘I don’t know, it just looked really cool.’
“She’s like, ‘Mom, do you realise how cool that is? You’re cool.’”
But she added the girls haven’t stopped at wanted her “edgier” and now also want her to dress more “rock ’n’ roll”.
She said: “Total midriff. I don’t even know what it constitutes, but they’re always like, ‘Mom, you should show your belly.’
“I’m like, ‘Oh God, no. I don’t want to show my belly.’”

Marlene Dietrich’s iconic ruby and diamond bracelet going under hammer for up to $4.5m

OHMYGOSSIP — Marlene Dietrich’s iconic Van Cleef and Arpels ruby and diamond bracelet is being auctioned at a starting price of up to $4.5million.
Worn by the late actress – who was killed by kidney failure at her Paris apartment in 1992 aged 90 – to the Academy Awards in 1951 and in Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Stage Fright’, which was released a year earlier, the “sculptural” piece is part of the upcoming Christie’s sale ‘The Magnificent Jewels of Anne Eisenhower’.
Claibourne Poindexter from Christie’s said about it being a unique piece of “art”: “This bracelet is legendary in a lot of ways.
“It was one of (Marlene’s) favourite pieces of jewellery. It’s bold. It’s very large in scale and has a wonderful curvature.
“She wore it so beautifully in ‘Stage Fright’, an Alfred Hitchcock film from 1950, and you get this appreciation for how sculptural the design is.
“It doesn’t really fit into any period. It’s not art deco jewellery. It’s not retro jewellery. It’s just sort of high glamour. It really is its own work of art.”
Marlene commissioned the piece from jewellers Van Cleef and Arpels in 1937 and it is from a collection amassed by Anne Eisenhower – an interior designer who died last year aged 73, who was a granddaughter of President Dwight D Eisenhower.
Her other prized pieces going up for auction in June include a Panthère de Cartier brooch and a Tiffany and Co art deco diamond bracelet bearing a rose design made from rubies and emeralds.
Christie’s Americas chairman Marc Porter said: “From Marlene Dietrich to President Dwight D Eisenhower, the Anne Eisenhower Collection traces the history of the last century through a single collector’s brilliant passion for fine jewels.
“Anne Eisenhower had a keen eye for the finest examples of the jeweller’s art, and her collection tells fascinating and interwoven stories of patrons and collectors.”
Anne bought Marlene’s bracelet in 1992 and it is the lot with the highest bidding estimate in the upcoming auction, of $2.5 million to $4.5 million.
The actress’ grandson Peter Riva said the bracelet was created when one of Marlene’s lovers, ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ writer Erich Maria Remarque, told her she should “take all her bits of jewellery and make them into one fabulous piece”.
He added: “It is made up of diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, matching ruby bracelet and earrings, a couple of pins, all told 30 things.”
Designed by Louis Arpels and known as a Jarretière bracelet (from the French word for garter), it includes cushion-shaped Burmese rubies as well as rectangular and baguette-cut diamonds, all set in platinum.
It comes with Mark Cross leather case with the initials M.D., and when the bracelet sold in 1992 it went for $990,000.
The actress lost her other extravagant jewels “probably to the IRS for back taxes”, according to her grandson – but she managed to hang on to the Jarretière bracelet.
Highlights from the ‘Magnificent Jewels of Anne Eisenhower’ auction will be previewed at the Christie’s Los Angeles gallery in Beverly Hills on March 23, with additional showings to be held in Paris, Geneva and Hong Kong before the June 7 auction.

Naomi Scott: ‘Simplicity is key in my beauty regime’

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Scott says “simplicity is key” in her style and beauty regimes.
The ‘Aladdin’ actress, 29, who married her footballer husband Jordan Spence, 32, in 2014, added she likes to “see skin” as it is “very sexy” and added she has a series of carefully honed simple rituals that keep her skin and hair in top form.
She told Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine about her make-up regime: “Seeing skin is very sexy; not hiding every imperfection.
“My make-up routine is just about accentuating my features. I do my eyebrows and I’ll do a little eyeliner with Rare Beauty’s eyeliner, which is dope.
“It’s just to accentuate the shape of my eye – it’s the smallest flick of cat eye. “Then I’ll use Givenchy lip liner in Moka Renversant – it’s a deeper version of my lip colour – and I’ll dab on a Bobbi Brown lipstick in Bold Honey, which gives it a bit of shimmer. It’s timeless and still feels natural.”
She added about her minimalist skincare routine: “Simplicity is key. I use the Haeckels face wash and moisturiser. It works very well for me. If I’m feeling extra dry, I’ll use the exfoliator.
“I do the same thing in the evening. I’ve also just got a quartz roller to help get the blood flowing.”
She admitted she has taken many tips from make-up artists over the years before deciding what works for her.
Naomi said: “I’ve learnt to understand what tones work for my skin and what products work best for me. I’m more likely to use a light foundation, like MAC Face and Body, and I really like using colours that are in my skin tone; I use warmer tones, never any cold colours or anything that has a blue or pink undertones. I lean into the browns.”
And on her fragrance choice, she said: “Chloé Nomade Jasmin Naturel Intense is strong enough for me to wear every day but it’s also really fresh and floral. I don’t put a lot of things on my skin as I’m really sensitive so I either spray it on my clothes or mist it in the air and walk through it… I’ve always loved Chloé: I love how they march to the beat of their own drum.
“I love the smell of the perfume and that it’s vegan. I wear it every day and I literally always get comments on it. My male friends love it and have started wearing it too; it’s not just for women.”

Kate Hudson’s four-year-old daughter is ‘much better’ with make-up than she is

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson’s four-year-old daughter is “better” with make-up than she is.
The ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ actress opts for a “70s sun-kissed” glow when it comes to her favourite beauty look and she admitted one of the best products she’s found to achieve her ideal came from a shopping spree with her cosmetics-“obsessed” youngest child Rani, who she has with fiance Danny Fujikawa.
She told MindBodyGreen.com: “A more ’70s sun-kissed thing—that’s my go-to. I don’t know if people see me that way, but that’s what I like. Give me a good bronzer, some lip gloss, and a little mascara, and I’m happy…
“There’s a really beautiful brand-new [product] that is my new favourite thing. I just got it with my daughter because she’s obsessed with make-up—she’s four years old and already better at it than me. It’s called Youthforia But Tonight.
“I could put this thing on with no make-up on my cheeks – I’m doing it right now – and feel like a different person. It’s one of my favourite new products. I put it on, and even Danny was like, ‘Babe, what happened?’ It’s such a good product. That’s my new favourite.”
The 43-year-old star – who also has Ryder, 19, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and Bingham, 11, with former fiance Matt Bellamy – also “loves lasers” and finds the treatments help with any issues she experiences with her skin.
She said: “I love lasers—and they’re not cheap. I think that one of the greatest noninvasive things you can do for your skin and for collagen production is all of the different lasers they have out there.
“I’m one of those people that still gets pimples. I’m just waiting for that time in my life where I don’t get them anymore. Everyone’s like, ‘When you get older, they go away.’ Nope, not for some of us! But they help with that; they help with collagen production, tightening.
“[They’re] the best maintenance for skin and a great splurge…
“[For lasers] I go to Nurse Jamie. She’s been a friend of mine forever. She’s got every laser, she’s got cryo, she’s got stretching machines, she’s got an infrared mat. I just go there and do everything.”

‘I thought my time was up!’ Why Gemma Collins is having ice baths after heart attack scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins is having ice spa sessions after enduring a heart attack scare.
The 42-year-old reality star ended up in hospital after having palpitations last year as she battles what she thinks is long COVID and has been plunging herself in sub-zero temeratures in a bid to combat the issue and rebuild her immune system.
She told OK! Magazine: “The palpitations got so bad I thought I was having a heart attack,” she says. “I called an ambulance and the paramedics did an ECG [electrocardiogram] and said, ‘We need to take you to hospital.’I said to myself, ‘Great, this is it. My time is up.’
“But, thank God, it was a condition called costochondritis, which can cause severe chest pain and happens because of coughing or an infection. I think I got it from being constantly run down and ill. I do think I’ve got long Covid because I haven’t been able to shift it and it’s been in my system for months. I’ve been so unwell and it doesn’t matter what I take or do, it’s not going. I’ve been going for loads of sessions at Ice Health Cryotherapy in Kensington and I use this thermal shock machine, which you get into standing up and your head pops out of the top. It goes from a temperature of +70C to -196C in seconds.”
The former ‘TOWIE’ star went on to add that the practice of Cryotheraphy can help with “any illness” and would like to have her own machine at home if money were no object.
She added: “Cryotherapy helps with any illness and it really boosts your immune system. I’d love my own machine at home but they’re about £250,000 to buy.”

Why did Lady Gaga go makeup free at the Oscars?

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga wanted people to see the “real” version of herself when she went without makeup at the Oscars.
The 36-year-old pop icon – who is known for wearing extravagant costumes and makeup – appeared at the annual awards ceremony on Sunday (12.03.23) to give a stripped-back performance of ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ and according to producer Ricky Kirshner, was so busy shooting ‘Joker: Folie: A Deux’ that she “didn’t have time” to do anything grand before hitting the stage bare-faced.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “We’ve built up trust in the relationship with Gaga over the years — I did the Super Bowl with her and Glenn has done many awards shows with her, including the ‘Shallow’ performance on the Oscars.
“She really wanted to do something. She honestly was shooting her movie [the ‘Joker’ sequel] — there was no trickery involved. And Thursday, at four-something, we got a text that she wanted to try something, didn’t have time to put together a big performance, but wanted it to be raw and people to see the real Gaga, and, with a voice like that, you don’t need much more than that.”
Ricky added that part of his job is “going with the flow” as he recalled that it was touch-and-go whether the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker would even be able to perform at all.
He said: “We’re doing the show for the people in the room and the people watching at home. Some people make it and some don’t. Glenn honestly said on Wednesday [during a preshow press conference] that Gaga wouldn’t perform, and then on Thursday and Friday that changed. We just go with the flow and produce the show for the people that are there and the people that we’re working with.”

Eva Longoria: It takes me a week to get ready for the red carpet!

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria says it takes her a “week” to get ready for red carpet events.
The 47-year-old actress was spotted wearing a beaded Zuhair Murad gown at the Academy Awards on Sunday (12.03.23) and sported a wet-look hairstyle but noted in the days afterward that it takes her a considerable amount of time to get “nice and ready” before adding that she loves to use radiofrequency beauty procedures in the process.
She told E! News: “It’s a week-long preparation! I’ve got to do hair colour, I’ve got to do my EvolveX to get nice and ready. They just do this tightening, lifting, brightening magic, so I love getting red carpet ready with those.”
When it comes to skincare, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star is a big fan of hyaluronic acid along with suncream because of how well the products “prepare” her skin for being able to cope with heavy layers of makeup as she insisted there is a “process” to achieving a good complexion.
She added: “I love my hyaluronic acid, the eye serum, the sunblock, all of it. It really preps my skin in a way that lets the makeup settle nicely on top. There’s definitely a process to good skin, good makeup and good hair. And you can’t have good makeup without good skin!”
What’s more, Eva suggested to fans who would like to upgrade their look that they should use false eyelashes because of how much they can make the entire face “pop.”
She said: “Any time you want to glam up your makeup look, lashes. If you just throw on a lash, it just makes your entire face pop.”
