Hailey Bieber reveals secret behind ‘freshly gazed donut’ skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber has revealed the secret behind looking like “freshly glazed” donut.
The Rhode Beauty founder has opened up on her famous complexion, having named one of her beauty products after the sweet treat.
Appearing on Dear Media’s ‘Breaking Beauty’ podcast, she said: “For me, I just want to look like a freshly glazed, crispy cream donut.”
While she’s achieved that goal, she hasn’t always been so pleased with her complexion, and she has changed her approach since her teen years.
Recalling how she caused herself irritation, redness and peeling, she explained: “I remember being a teenager and [having] too many actives on the skin, thinking that is going to be the solution…
“The way it’s changed for me is my approach. I’ve found more of a balance in how I treat my skin for the various phases and stages it’s going through.”
Now, she goes with a relatively simple skincare routine, noting she doesn’t necessarily cleanse at the start of each day.
She said: “In the mornings, I will cleanse if I’ve done exfoliating the night before.
“Then, I love to use a hydrating toner or essence to get the skin ready to absorb the products, and I can’t go without the Peptide Glazing Fluid.
“If I’m feeling a more dry, I’ll also put the Barrier Restore Cream and then sunscreen on top.”
The 26-year-old star – who never goes out without applying SPF – also revealed nightime routine is similar to her mornings, although she does double clense, initially with an oil-based cleanser and then a regular one.
The 26-year-old star noted she wants to keep creating “genuinely authentic” products with the goal of making something people can work with.
She added: “I’m making this brand for people. It’s a relationship.
“Even with the Peptide Glazing Fluid, I think people are really loving it and gravitating towards it because I’m the type of person where I’ve always enjoyed the mixture of skincare with makeup…
“I really like making things that feel multi-dimensional and multi-purpose.”

Rachel McAdams loves ‘juxtaposition’ between beauty, fantasy and truth

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel McAdams loves to embrace the “juxtaposition” between beauty, fantasy and “truth”.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star created a buzz with a recent magazine cover shoot as she showed off her armpit hair and posed in a black corset top with matching wide leg pants, and she has opened up on her aesthetic.
Speaking to Bustle magazine for their cover, she said: “I love that juxtaposition of beauty, glam, fantasy, and then truth.
“With this shoot, I’m wearing latex underwear. But I’ve had two children. This is my body, and I think that’s so important to reflect back out to the world.”
She added: “It’s OK to look your best and work at it and be healthy, but that’s different for everyone.”
The outlet also noted that Rachel wanted the pictures from the photoshoot to be “edited as minimally as possible”.
Elsewhere in the interview, she opened up about her role as Barb in ‘Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret’, which she was preparing for five months after she gave birth to her daughter in 2020.
Rachel – who also haas a five-year-old son with Jamie Linden – recalled a conversation with a costume designer, revealing: “‘Why don’t we just try this without a bra?’
“The great irony is Margaret just can’t wait to get into a bra. But I’m playing a kind of wild child, hippie artist mom [who] doesn’t wear a bra throughout the whole film…
“[We] really wanted Barb to feel like a real person who’s still figuring herself out, to put Margaret and her on similar trajectories.”
Meanwhile, Rachel did relate to her character’s struggles, as she herself was second guessing her own portrayal of the character when it came to her bust.
She added: “I was worried some days. ‘Is this too much? Is this distracting?’ I hated thinking about that. Why do I even care? But it’s hard not to!”

Adriana Lima hopes daughters follow in her model footsteps

OHMYGOSSIP — Adriana Lima hopes daughters will follow in her fashion footsteps.
The Brazilian beauty is one of the most recognised supermodels in the world thanks to her work as a former Victoria’s Secret Angel.
But despite spending the majority of her life in the public eye strutting down catwalks and gracing covers of glossy magazines, Adriana, 41, likes to keep her family life private.
The mum-of-three – who shares Valentina, 12 and Sienna, nine, with ex-husband Marko Jaric, and 10-month-old son Cyan with current partner Andre Lemmers – recently brought her lookalike daughters along in a rare red carpet appearance at on March 23, as she attended premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Corteo in Los Angeles.
Talking about her daughters’ favourite hobbies, Adriana hinted a promising future in fashion was in store.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: “Actually, they give me hints on fashion. They go, ‘Mom can I do your makeup today? Mom, can I choose your outfit?’
“They keep me up to date… They do that for me.”
Adriana gave birth to Cyan in August 2022, and she admits it has been hard to get back in shape and regain her pre-baby body since delivering the tot.
She said: “Every day I have to remind myself that, ‘Listen, accept who you are. Accept your body.’
“It’s a transitional body right now because I had a baby. So you just created life. It’s such a big blessing. Every body has a different reaction with pregnancy and post-pregnancy.
“So you have to exercise every day, [practice] acceptance with changes. And I struggle every day. Every day, I have to remind myself, I’m human. I get insecure here and there.
“And then every day, I learn new things. And with age, your body reacts differently. But it’s okay. I’m learning.”

Suki Waterhouse: I sleep with my eye makeup on

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse sometimes sleeps with her eye makeup on.
The 31-year-old actress-and-singer rose to fame after she began her career as a model at 16 and went on to become the face of major fashion labels and the ’60s inspired textured waves and thick cat eye look has become a trademark look of Suki’s.
Whilst falling asleep with your makeup on is not recommended by skin experts, the Burberry model has confessed that if she has been on a job and particularly loves what they have done with her eye look then she’ll keep the products on for the next day.
Speaking to ELLE, she said: “In the evenings, I’ll cleanse everything off, although I am known to leave the eyes on if it’s done really well!”
The ‘Love, Rosie’ star also divulged her best kept skin care secrets, revealing her unconventional methods for flawless skin include an ice pack and steamer.
She said: “I always start with cleansing, toning, moisturising, and I’m leaning towards oil-free SPF in the morning. I’m a fan of something cold from the fridge – like a bag of ice – if I’ve slept funny and feel puffy in the face. That or some cold rollers which I’ll use while I have my coffee.
“During the pandemic I did a FaceGym class online. They’re really good with lymphatic drainage and training your muscles to do certain things.
“I have a home steamer for steaming my face and I use a lot of moisturiser. If I have something special the next day, I’d do a Face Tape so your face doesn’t move when you sleep. I don’t do it too often.”
The ‘Nostalgia’ singer – who is currently touring with her band – admits the evolution from runway to recording studio can play havoc on her skin.
She said: “When I’m touring my skin goes into overdrive. My drummer and I are the only girls in the band. It’s so hardcore out there; being on a bus and sleeping with 15 people breathing in the same air, is not good for your skin.”

Tommy Hilfiger hailed as a ‘pioneer’ of hip-hop music

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Hilfiger’s brother claims the designer was a key figure in the hip-hop movement.
The rap genre originated in the Bronx borough of New York in the 1970s and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, after dominating the charts throughout the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s.
Designer Andy Hilfiger – who worked alongside his brother Tommy to develop the globally successful fashion brand, Tommy Hilfiger – insists the sibling pair were pioneers of the culture when it first exploded.
He told WWD: “We were an early pioneer of the culture and the movement and supported the whole thing.
“I think [hip-hop] will always resonate. Once you start something that becomes so big, it really doesn’t go away. It’s always a part of the DNA. Music has always been a part of pop culture and Tommy Hilfiger.”
Tommy, 72, capitalised on the influence of the ’90s hip-hop scene and saw the potential of the buying power. Hilfiger began gifting clothes to rappers who name dropped the designer and wore his clothes.
As the Hilfiger brand thrived so did the idea behind collaborating with artists and designers.
Tommy said: “When [the musicians] were wearing the clothes, all of their fans started wearing the clothes.
“We dressed Snoop Dogg for ‘SNL’ and everyone wanted that shirt — preppies, athletes, surfers, skaters, rockers, all different types of people. The culture was becoming very relevant and present in the ‘90s. I would say we were one of the top brands of choice and this was when a lot of department stores were telling us that we should not have logos and we should not do oversize. They were pushing back, but the street was telling us that was the future trend and we were listening to the consumers.”
Riding on Hilfiger’s success, other brands started to follow suit in collaborating with hip-hop stars which had a huge impact on the fashion industry.
In 1986, Run-DMC signed a $1 million endorsement deal with Adidas following their hit song ‘My Adidas’, which marked a first brand deal in the world of hip-hop.

OHMYGOSSIP — Riley Keough says her fashion sense is both “malleable” and “inconsistent”.
The 33-year-old actress/model – who is the granddaughter of music legend Elvis Presley – has opened up about her personal style in an interview admitting she changes her mind often and will go from wearing jeans and a T-shirt to looking totally “together” within the space of a day.
She told Who What Wear: “I think I’m very malleable [when it comes to fashion], and it’s super Gemini … I have days where I’m like: ‘I don’t feel inspired to wear anything – I just want to wear a T-shirt and pants and sneakers’ and then another day where I feel really inspired to put a whole look together. I’m very inconsistent.”
Riley also opened up about her self-care routine, admitting she tries her best to look after herself especially when she’s working on a demanding acting role – revealing she enjoys mediating and taking long showers.
She explained: “It’s a difficult job emotionally when you’re putting yourself in these places a lot. You have to find this weird balance of taking care of yourself somehow.
“For me, a lot of that actually comes when I go home, and I have rituals like meditating or laying in the shower or trying to let it go for the day and not carry it into my sleep.”
Riley currently stars in musical drama ‘Daisy Jones and The Six’ and recently admitted she loved the 1970s fashion of the show and found herself watching lots of videos of female stars from the era to get a sense of their style and movement.
She told NET-A-PORTER’s digital title PORTER: “I have very severe Fomo for the 1970s. I watched so many videos of [singers] in that era to get a sense of their movements.”

Scarlett Johansson refuses to wear foundation

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson doesn’t like wearing foundation and would rather improve her complexion through a healthy skincare routine.
The ‘Black Widow’ star has launched her own beauty line called The Outset to create a “reliable, everyday skin system” and she has now revealed she uses a simple routine every morning which doesn’t include hiding her skin with layers of base coverage.
Speaking on ‘The Skinny Confidential Him and Her’ podcast, Scarlett explained: “This is what I use everyday. I use a cleanser every day, I use serum in the morning, and then a daily moisturiser. That’s what I use every morning … I don’t put any foundation on.”
She also revealed she tends to avoid any face masks that dry her skin out because she’s suffered with acne in the past. Scarlett explained: “I can’t stand that kind of clay dry cracky [face mask] … that gives me acne … so if I use a dry clay mask that flakes off that’s not good for me.”
When asked to describe the make-up she does wear, the 38-year-old actress said: “I have some concealer on because I desperately needed it this morning, a little blush, a little shimmer and that’s it … Yes [ I keep it simple] …”
She went on to confess she puts her aversion to wearing make-up down to spending years getting done up for her movie work.
Scarlett added: “I don’t know if I would have like a more of a full face of make-up if I didn’t work in a job where I wore make-up for the last like 30 years. But I do wear a lot of make-up for film and stuff so that’s part of it …”

Maya Jama shares homemade hair mask recipe

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama tames her over-styled hair using masks she whips up herself using olive oil, raw eggs and avocado.
The host of ITV dating show ‘Love Island’ has admitted her locks are often left looking “fried” so she makes her own hair masks at home using ingredients in her cupboard – mixing them all together and heating them in the microwave before applying them – and she’s convinced her home remedy really does work.
She told Glamour magazine: ” My hair’s probably not in good condition because it gets styled all the time. It’s fried to a frizzum. But I do loads of home hair masks. So like olive oil, raw cracked eggs, avocado and honey blended up then warmed in the microwave. And then I put a plastic bag on top of my head so it gets all steamy and sweaty. I’ll leave that on for like an hour and wash it out. It does work because it always feels healthier after.”
However, Maya did admit there’s some downsides to coating your hair with cooked egg.
She added: “It takes a minute to get the egg out though, and it stinks a little bit. You feel like you’re cooking an omelette. But, it makes it shiny. Sometimes it’s better than the bought ones I think. Or sometimes I use Moroccan Oil and just douse it in that and put my hair in a bun. I’ll put loads of oil in it and just leave it in.”
Maya also shared her top tips for putting on make-up – revealing she uses hot and cold to create the perfect base for foundation.
She explained: “For me, the key to a good foundation base is a really hot face wash, and then a freeze face wash using either a flannel in the fridge to ice your face or cold spoons first thing in the morning.
“I’d do anything to give the illusion of smaller pores. I have big pores. You just can’t see them on the camera, but that’s probably because they’re iced off most of the time.”

Emily Ratajkowski: Sex is very relaxing for me

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski has admitted that “sex is very relaxing” for her.
The 31-year-old model – who has been romantically linked to Harry Styles – has admitted that physical pleasure and satisfaction is important to her wellbeing and she doesn’t like to go without lovemaking for too long.
Speaking on the ‘Forbidden Fruits with Julia Fox and Niki Takesh’ podcast, she said: “Sex is very relaxing to me. It’s, like, an outlet. It’s an expression, and I like to have it in my life.
“You learn so much about people by having sex with them, it’s crazy. I’ve learned that from dating.
“The thing about dating is you don’t know what you’re going to get when you sleep with someone new.”
The ‘I Feel Pretty’ actress – who split from her husband, film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, in July 2022 – was photographed kissing Harry, 29, after a concert in Tokyo, Japan, last month.
Emily insists she is not looking for a serious relationship with the former One Direction star, or anyone else, and is just looking to have fine now she’s single.
Speaking about her single status, she said: “Right now it’s just fun. I’m really enjoying it. I’m trying to dodge the cuffs, that’s the hard part.
“I think a lot of men are very lonely and want a relationship more than they will ever say.
“The best thing about being single is that you don’t have worry about anyone else. I basically think about my son and nothing else.”
Emily and Sebastian have two-year-old son Sylvester together.

Sheila Atim: Everyone should embrace their own uniqueness

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheila Atim urges everyone to just be themselves and “embrace their uniqueness”.
The 32-year-old actress was born in Ugandan but raised in Essex, Britain, after relocating at just five months off, and she admits she didn’t attribute beauty as a quality to herself because of societal standards.
Now that she’s older, the ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ star has learned to accept and love herself and she has urged others not to judge themselves or conform.
She told Elle UK: “Everyone should embrace their own face, their own body, embrace their uniqueness. Don’t endeavour to look like somebody else.
“I grew up in Essex so there weren’t lots of people that looked like me. In fact, there was barely anyone. When I was younger, beauty was something that I didn’t embrace or attribute to myself; I felt it wasn’t for me. I didn’t think it was something that I deserved so I didn’t care about it. I didn’t want to conform because I kind of couldn’t; I already looked very different to everyone else. Now I don’t care but my irreverence isn’t towards beauty itself, it’s to the societal ideals of beauty. There’s a lot more freedom in it now.”
In most recent years, there’s been a push for diversity and inclusion within the industry and an attempt to stamp out Eurocentric beauty standards. However, Sheila thinks more still needs to be done.
She said: “Representation has got better, and it needs to improve still, but it’s made people like myself, and I’m sure many others, feel like we have more of a stake in beauty. Going to events and working with glam teams now, it gives me the opportunity to craft that for myself. I’m feeling more beautiful.”
According to ‘The Woman King’ star beauty is not just surface level it runs skin deep.
She said: “I think beauty is primarily about how you feel, I think it has to be. It’s a feeling and a state of mind and body within yourself. I think most people have probably had the experience of beauty being about how other people perceive you and that doesn’t really serve us anymore.”

Miranda Kerr says Kora Organics was a passion project

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr’s award-winning skin care line Kora Organics was simply a passion project.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel went from catwalk star to boardroom queen with the launch of her skin care line KORA Organics in 2009.
As a pioneer of clean beauty, Miranda, 38, revealed it was nothing more than just a passion project before deciding to take in global.
She told PopSugar: ” I’ve always felt like health is wealth. I was selfishly just doing [it] for myself.
“Then I decided, ‘Hey, it’s time to get these products out into the world.'”
Since the launch, the beauty brand has gone on to become a household name, guided by Miranda’s philosophy “healthy skin is the most beautiful skin”.
But Miranda’s passion for health runs skin deep as it stems from a difficult period in her life.
Kerr was just 16 years old when her mother was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen, which made her prioritise clean living alongside her family.
She previously told Harper’s Bazaar Australia: “When I was 16, my mother was diagnosed with cancer of her spleen and this motivated us as a family to take more care of our health.
“So we started researching all the products we used in our home, from beauty products to detergents. We were shocked to find out how carcinogenic and toxic certain ingredients were, which are found in products that are readily available on the market and which claim to be safe … even products that claim to be natural, are not!”

Janice Dickinson: ‘I invented the term Supermodel!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Janice Dickinson claims she coined the term ‘supermodel’.
The 67-year-old, who shot to fame in the 1970s after being discovered by a photographer and went on to become one of the most successful and coveted faces in the modelling industry,
says she will defy anyone who claims she didn’t originally came up with the word in 1982 during a conversation with her manager.
She told Queerty: “I stand by it because I coined the word. You know, there are of course other supermodels that were before me, but I said to my agent back in 1982, with the Elite agency. “She said, ‘You are working night and day, day and night, who do you think you are? Superman?’ “And I said, ‘No honey, I’m Supermodel. And you’ll refer to me as Supermodel.’ So we started a supermodel division that only took girls that did catalogue, runway, editorial, advertising, and spokesperson.”
While Janice remains adamant the term originated from her, it’s been proven the word has been around since the 1940s, with writer Judith Cass using it in her Chicago Tribune article ‘Super Models are Signed for Fashion Show’ in 1942.

Sara Fernandez: ‘My uniqueness was my armour’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sara Fernandez says she found “strength” in her “uniqueness”.
The Mexican-born model, who has been the face of the Miaou, Garmette and Jordan Brand campaigns, added she considers the way she stood out when she started modelling a “safety blanket” and “armour” against the world.
She told Hyperbae: “I used my uniqueness as a safety blanket. It was my armour – I found agency and strength in it… I am aware that I stand out and am not like these other models, creative directors and so on, but that is what makes me different and even more capable of doing these jobs, because I have worked twice as hard to get there.”
Sara added when she walks on to a photoshoot set she proudly thinks she is “that girl” whose “mom cleans houses, who drives a 2006 Toyota Corolla, whose house is bright orange with Mexican and Central American decals in it“.
She also declared she has fought to find her place in the world, adding: “I struggled with my identity (as) much as any brown kid did.
“I wanted to fit in as much as I could, but I really appreciate that I had such conscious and socially aware parents that guided me and continuously taught me the importance of my culture. “They kept me involved with my community through a lot of cultural activities.”
Sara also said about the part her campaigns have played in the global drive for better representation and diversity: “It makes me extremely emotional that I can create an impact on someone and make them feel seen.
“I never realised how important my work was until people started messaging me and telling me how much my work inspired them, made them feel represented or even beautiful.
“I understand now that this work is so much bigger than me and I carry my community with me on every set I go on with pride.”
