“Now there’s a bit more of an expectation, I just want to make sure that I live up to that expectation again…. The pressure is on for my stylist because the dresses did very well last series.”
Maya revealed that she thinks the ideal Islander is someone “super confident” and unafraid of pursuing people they “want”.

The ‘Bling Ring’ director had “fun” teaming up with their creative director Augustin Dol-Maillot for a capsule collection made for “work, leisure and travel” after she already worked with Chanel, one of the the Scottish knitwear’s brand biggest clients.
The 52-year-old filmmaker told Wallpaper magazine: “I’m a big fan of Barrie, I love the great quality of their cashmere knitwear that I wear over and over again. Their pieces are really timeless, easy, with beautiful details. It was so fun to work with Augustin and the Barrie team and imagine my dream pieces: the idea of a travel wardrobe that works together, that is cosy and chic. I love what Barrie has done, I will be living in them this winter.
Augustin praised Sofia’s “elegance” and called the ‘Godfather Part III’ star “stylish’.
He said: I have always considered Sofia’s elegance to have that special touch which makes it relaxed and comfortable, yet so stylish. To me, this is exactly what the Barrie DNA is made of, and this collaboration is the dream opportunity to embody that.
Augustin also said: I’ve always been fascinated by Sofia’s precision in terms of looks and attitude. She always finds the perfect balance between timeless pieces and a modern silhouette. The collaboration seeks to achieve this same effect by focusing on the tiny details that transform apparently simple pieces to make them timeless and desirable at the same time.”

Tory Burch reveals farm life and travel inspirations behind new fragrance range

OHMYGOSSIP — Tory Burch has revealed farm life and travelling were the inspirations behind her new fragrances.
The 56-year-old fashion designer, who launched her eponymous label in 2004, recently released five perfumes as part of her ‘Essence of Dreams’ collection, and has told how her passion for creating them stemmed from her childhood memories and holidays.
She told Grazia magazine: “I’m so passionate about scent. I grew up on a farm in Valley Forge and some of the earliest memories I have are of my mom’s incredible vanity of different fragrances.
“She wore everything, I remember ‘Paris’ by YSL, Chanel, my dad’s ‘Vetivert’ by Guerlain, I remember all of them.
“And then I remember the garden. My mom was an organic gardener, as far back as the 70’s and I spent a tremendous amount of time outside with her.
“The smell of all the vegetables and the flowers – it was a huge part of my life and continues to be.”
Tory added about how she turned her family memories into modern scents: “My starting point was thinking about what fragrance means for me today.
“There’s so much chaos in the world and I wanted to visualise what a better future looks like and how fragrance can transport you there, how it can change the way you feel.
“I wanted to think about unity and optimism and what emotions those concepts conjure up – magic, love, freedom, joy and peace.”
Tory’s scent range includes ‘Electric Sky’, ‘Cosmic Wood’, ‘Divine Moon’, ‘Mystic Geranium’ and ‘Sublime Rose’.
She said about the range: “‘Divine Moon’ instantly transports me to Antigua. I’d love to be there all the time, so that’s pretty wonderful to me.
“‘Vetiver’ will always remind me so much of my father – that’s one of the key notes in ‘Cosmic Wood’ – he was an extremely important person in my life.
“And then there’s rose. I always wanted to do a rose scent because my husband and I spent a lot of time in Normandy surrounded by fresh garden roses.
“The garden he proposed to me in was full of them, so rose is a very romantic note for me, it represents love.”

Anne Hathaway’s ‘fashion Renaissance’ stylist: ‘Style is about confidence’

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway’s stylist believes “style is about confidence”.
Erin Walsh has been behind ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ actress’ recent red carpet looks, which have been dubbed a “fashion Renaissance” for the 40-year-old star.
The stylist told E! about how people can achieve the A-lister’s look: “Style is about confidence because it comes down to deciding to own and project in this world your very essence.
“It resonates because people want to feel it themselves.
“Try to have fun. What’s more stylish than a woman who is embodying her ultimate essence and dressing the part?”
Erin added about Anne she is “beautiful inside and out”, and went on: “People are searching for more in the people they look up to.
“It’s a visceral thing – everyone wants to feel like they’re enough, like they’re beautiful, like they have a purpose and have substance.
“It’s very inspiring to see someone actually glowing.”
Anne told The Hollywood Reporter about her stylist’s work: “Erin sees my idiosyncrasies as a strength… maybe there was initial confusion with me because I was introduced to the world as a teenaged princess, but I never actually connected to things that are ‘sweet’ and ‘pretty’ – no shade at all for those wonderful options.
“I love the right risk, as does she.”
Among the “right risks” the pair have agreed on include the corseted Versace puffer Anne wore to the Sundance Film Festival, the all-leopard Valentino look she wore to Couture Fashion Week and the polka-dot Christopher John Rogers serve she sported to ‘The Late Show’ with Stephen Colbert.
Erin added to The Hollywood reporter about their partnership: “It’s surreal to feel something really register in the cultural zeitgeist – there is something quite magical that really resonates with the public in what we do together.”

Bethenny Frankel wishes women would embrace idea of ageing like ‘fine wine’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel says women should embrace the idea of ageing like a “fine wine”.
The 52-year-old ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ regular, who has daughter Bryn, 13, with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, 52, says she hates seeing females fighting getting older and desperately trying to resist the process.
She told The Heathy magazine: “I have a daughter and I want to be young for her. It’s been great to just accept (ageing.)
“I see people, women, so desperately clinging on to youth and doing everything they can, and every gimmick and lying about their age and every filter.
“It seems there’s a desperation to ageing and not allowing it to happen like in fine wine.”
Adding how she is happy with being seen as a “dorky aunt” as she gets older, Bethenny went on: “I like being older because you have to be comfortable in your own skin and you get to be that dorky aunt.
“That’s who I am to my daughter’s friends. That’s who I am on social media. I’ve embraced it, I get it.”
The mum-of-one, who is engaged to film producer Paul Bernon, added she has a list of key steps to try and stay looking her best.
She said: “I like prioritising sleep and travel and food. I like curating my life the way that I want it to be and only doing work that I want to do that’s very liberating.
“I’m peaceful. I’m level, I’m happy. The highs and lows are not what they used to be, which is positive.”
“Consistency, hydration, spray tone, layering spray tone with serums.
“I have a sheet mask on right now because I flew yesterday, and a neck pillow that has lavender in it.
“Taking hot baths with Epsom salts. It’s old-school just consistency. And hell, I prioritise health over what I look like.”

Gemma Chan regrets ‘skinny brows’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Chan regrets having “skinny brows”.
The 40-year-old actress insists she won’t be following the returning trend for finer eyebrows because it took “so long” for the hair to re-grow when she tried it the first time around.
Asked if she has any beauty regrets, Gemma told InStyle.com: “The brows. 100%. I had skinny brows in the late ’90s and early 2000s, and it took so long for them to grow back. I know the trend is kind of coming back, but I think I’m going to skip that one.
“If you’ve done it the first time, it’s like, ‘I can sit this one out.’
But the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ star would welcome a return of the “dramatic” hairstyles of the 1960s, though she admitted it would be too “high maintenance” to stick to for a long period of time.
She said: “I love the ’60s era. For some of the hairstyles, they really went for it; women would go to the hairdresser and get their hair set and it would be a whole thing.
“That would be fun — not all the time, because I think it’s quite high maintenance — but it would be great to see some of those incredible, dramatic kinds of looks.”
During a busy few days at the Cannes Film Festival, Gemma admitted she has to “shift” her beauty routine in order to try and keep her skin in as good condition as possible.
She said: “It does shift a little bit. I always end up coming to the festival and having great aspirations to get a lot of sleep. Then, you get here sleep-deprived and jet-lagged.
“So the crucial things for me are all about prepping the skin. That includes anything cryotherapy-related and anything to de-puff. I have all the tools and gadgets: the roller that I keep in the fridge, the ice globes, a vibrating device for my eye area, and a cooling face mask as well.
“I also always bring my own tea because no one does tea like the English.”

Miranda Kerr ‘getting into’ weight training

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr has been “getting into” weight training.
The 40-year-old model – who has Flynn, 12, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom, and Hart, five, and Myles, three, with spouse Evan Spiegel – has always favoured yoga and pilates when it comes to exercise, but now she’s getting older, she knows it is important to incorporate more strength training into her routine.
She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “Lately, I’ve been getting into weight training, which I really like. They say as you get older that weight training is important.
“I’ve been such a yogi and a Pilates girl my whole life that it’s nice to balance it a little more with weights, and a little bit of running as well.”
The Kora Organics founder loves to follow her workout with an “invigorating” cold shower.
She said: “After exercising I really like having a cold shower. Even if it’s just turning the water to cold at the end, it really invigorates you.”
Miranda starts her day with a celery juice and likes to find the time for facial massage and dry body brushing, all of which she believes is good for her on both the inside and the outside.
She said: “I also drink celery juice every morning, almost a litre. It hydrates you with electrolytes, is good for your kidney function and for digestion – it helps you have a movement in the morning. I have to get through my celery juice before I get to my coffee.
“I also love dry body brushing, and gua sha massage; anything that brings about increased circulation and blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
“I’ve been doing facial massages and body brushing since I was 18.”

Lisa Rinna feared beauty brand was ‘doomed’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Rinna feared her beauty brand was “doomed” when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star launched Rinna Beauty in November 2020, in the middle of the global health crisis and she admitted she was concerned starting with lip kits could end up backfiring on her because people had their faces covered when out in public, but fortunately she was wrong.
She told ES magazine: “The lips have had their own career, so finally we did something to make money off of them!
“Everyone had their masks on. I thought, ‘We’re doomed!’ Luckily we weren’t. People just took to it.”
The 59-year-old star is a big fan of her own range.
She said: “I know that sounds like, come on, you’re selling it, but it does really work well for me. I said, listen, we’re not going to make this unless I want to wear it all the time.”
Lisa was known for her plump lips when she began her acting career and she compared having her first filler injections at the age of just 24 to having a tattoo.
She said: “I liken it to getting a tattoo. It was an absolutely stupid spur of the moment thing with my girlfriend. The movie Beaches had come out and Barbara Hershey had her lips done with collagen. That’s how it happened.”
The former ‘Melrose Place’ star’s signature short, shaggy hair cut came about a few years later in response to a break-up.
She recalled: “I was taking an acting class and I had just broken up with a boyfriend.
“Someone sitting next to me had just cut their hair off and I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.’
“I asked who cut her hair and he came to my apartment. It was just one of those moments after a break-up where you change your look, and I guess I never really went back. It just worked.”

Lady Gaga took makeup inspiration from young boy on TikTok

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga was inspired by a young boy’s “beautiful” makeup journey on TikTok.
The 37-year-old star – whose Haus Labs makeup line will be available via Sephora in the UK from June 6 – revealed how she was influenced by the way he wanted to “express who he truly is”.
She told Glamour magazine: “There was this one young boy I watched on TikTok who wears beautiful makeup, and he was sharing his story about how his friends would ask him not to wear so much makeup when he went out to dinners or parties with them.
“He talked about how that made him feel and how he was just going to continue to make the best possible look he could to really express who he truly is. I thought that was so inspiring.
“Of course I’ve seen other tips and tricks of how to chisel your jawline and such, but I think the real magic is when people share their hearts with you and the way that makeup transforms your life in a way that extends beyond the physical.”
The ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker admitted while “not everyone is kind”, there is a lot of joy to be had from the way “a lot” of people interact and “share their knowledge”.
She said: “I think the thing that I’ve loved the most is just seeing the beauty community on TikTok.
“Obviously not everyone is kind, but there are a lot of really kind, lovely people on TikTok that just want to share their knowledge of makeup, their knowledge of beauty, their experiments, and not only their looks, but their techniques and their hearts.”
In particular, she also enjoys the idea of applying makeup as a time for “reflection”.
She added: “I love watching people tell stories about their lives while they do their makeup to get to know them better.
“But also, it adds a sense of emotion and warmth to the experience, which is how I feel a lot of us feel when we’re doing our makeup. There’s a lot of reflection that takes place.”

Late designer Katie Gallagher honoured with archive in her memory

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Gallagher has been honoured with an archive in her memory.
The late fashion designer – who worked with the likes of Lady Gaga – was found dead in her home aged 35 last summer, with police recently ruling her death a homicide, and her family paid tribute to her at a display in New York City.
Around 150 relatives, friends and colleagues came together to celebrate her work.
Her sister Lara told WWD.com: “She would just want more, more, more — now. She was always pushing and planning. She was so full of promise.
“That was somewhat, due to her age, as well as [despite] what she had accomplished, she hadn’t reached where she wanted to go.
“For that to be taken away is heartbreaking to wonder what would have been possible, when someone is young, single and had so much life left to live.
“Katie just had an amazing amount of energy. She did not want to quit, did not want to quit.”
Examples of her designs and personal belongings were displayed at Saint Mary Grand, after Lara spent 10 months picturing and cataloguing over 550 items which had been stored at a unit in Los Angeles.
She added: “For her to have kept all that despite moves and instability, she just knew her worth and that it was important from the very beginning.”
Her family has set up the Katie Gallagher Artist Archive, which has been sponsored by Fractured Atlas.
The collection has been brought together with the goal of celebrating her achievements and giving insight into her process as an artist.
The partnership is also seeking to secure grant funding, corporate sponsorships and additional individual support.
Katie’s family also want to find museums and curators to house some of her designs.
Lara said: “She always talked about how fashion wasn’t the end goal. It was about stories, and her shows were about the music, the tone, the lighting and the world that she was creating rather than any one garment.”

Emma Raducanu needs ‘organic connection’ to partner with a brand

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Raducanu needs “an organic connection” with the brands she pairs up with.
The 20-year-old tennis ace was in Mexico City over the weekend for Dior’s Cruise 2024 show in honour of legendary artist Frida Kahlo, and she insisted any partnerships need to “align with [her] values”.
She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “For me, it’s really important when deciding which brands I would like to partner with that I have an organic connection to them and I identify with them.
“It’s really important to me to stay true to who I am as a person, which means working with brands that align with my values.”
Emma also makes sure to be “really involved” with the whole process when it comes to what she wears as part of the collaborations, particularly because it’s a welcome change from her day job.
She said: “I get really involved with the styling process! I find it really fun, especially as an athlete as I’m typically in sports clothes most of the time.
“So on the occasions that I do get to dress up I like to express myself and when wearing Dior I always feel super empowered and confident.
“That’s why I like to have a say myself in what I’m wearing – it’s a really fun process.”
The athlete also reflected on her look for the Cruise 2024 show, and the influence she took from her times visiting India.
She added: “I really love my Dior look for the show, you can really notice the craftsmanship and all the embroideries on the jacket created in collaboration with the Indian artisans.
“I spent some time in India myself playing tournaments – it’s somewhere I’ve always loved going back to, as the people were so friendly – and I just thought there was such a vibrant energy about the place.
“I’m very happy to be wearing this tonight.”

Victoria Beckham: Botox isn’t for me

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham won’t have Botox.
The 49-year-old fashion designer insisted she doesn’t like the affects the wrinkle-smoothing injections have on the face and she is comfortable with getting older, so simply just wants to look “rested and fresh” rather than try out “scary” procedures to look younger than her years.
She told The Sunday Times Style magazine: “You tend to get that quite shiny forehead, plus your eyebrows go too high. I’m not trying to turn back the clock. I’m 49 and don’t have a hang-up about it.
“I want to look like a good version of myself, rested and fresh. I think it’s about little things. Same with make-up — it’s about not doing too much, which can be really ageing.
“I went to an event recently and people had very ‘big’ [overfilled] faces. There are some scary options out there.”
However, the former Spice Girls star did admit to undergoing non-invasive laser skin treatments.
She added: “I like to try some laser treatments when I’m in LA, and I do a bit of Collagenwave [a skin tightening treatment using radio frequency].
“What I have had done, which is quite good, is when they lightly ‘burn’ the underneath of your eyes. It’s not intrusive, there’s no downtime, so it’s not overly dramatic.”
Victoria has grown more comfortable with herself as she’s gotten older and “wouldn’t want to be 25 again”.
She said: “I am comfortable with who I am, I accept how I look, I make the best of what I have. I feel, professionally and personally, really accomplished at 49.
“I consider how I apply my make-up. But I like how it feels being older.
“I wouldn’t want to be 25 again. I was the kind of young woman who would look in the mirror and see what needed to be improved upon, as opposed to what actually looked OK.
“I’ve always been quite tough on myself, but because of that I’ve also always strived to be the best version of myself. It’s not about changing anything, it’s just about looking at the best version of yourself.
“I have more muscle tone at 49 than I did at 25.
“I don’t obsess over it, but I think age shouldn’t stop you from achieving personal goals. You can still look great. You know more about your body, you know what works. I know what I’ve got to do in the gym, I know what I’ve got to eat, I know more about what works on my face. Knowledge is a great thing.”
