‘I just received a facial look before any big event…’ Kim Kardashian shares travel beauty tip

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian will use a facemask when flying in order to replenish her skin.
The 42-year-old TV star has a very full schedule due to her filming commitments and business responsibilities – which includes running shapewear brand SKIMS – which means that she is time poor when it comes to her skincare regime.
Kim – who has just launched her own skincare line SKKN BY KIM – will take any opportunity for look after her complexion and is happy to pamper herself on a plane with zero embarrassment.
In an interview with PEOPLE, she said: “I love to mask when I’m traveling, on the plane or at the hotel as part of my prep when I feel like my skin is looking a bit dull, so that I have that fresh, ‘I just received a facial’ look before any big event.”
Sometimes, Kim will have as little as 10 minutes for her skincare regime but she will take any time she can get and it’s a necessary routine she has taught her four children, North West, 10, Saint West, seven, Chicago West, five, and Psalm West, four.
The curvaceous beauty – who raises her kids with ex-husband Kanye West – said: “It’s definitely nice to have a moment of self-care — even when I’m busy, I always make time for my skincare routine, especially at night.
“Taking care of your skin is such a vital part of my self-care routine, and I hope to instil that philosophy of always making that time for self-care in my children.
“It’s so important to make that time for yourself, for your mind, body and spirit.”

Julia Garner reveals lemon water secret that keeps her looking radiant

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Garner drinks lemon water every day because it hydrates her skin.
The 42-year-old actress – who appears in the new advertising campaign for Gucci Guilty scent along with A$AP Rock and Elliot Page – says healthy skin starts with hydration and the citrus infused H 20 helps give her an “amazing” complexion and also combats the effects of her junk food diet.
In an interview with ELLE UK, the ‘Ozark’ star said: “You can buy a crazy expensive cream but if you’re not getting enough sleep and you’re not drinking enough water and you’re not eating healthy food … what you’re putting inside your body is actually more important than what you’re putting on your face.
“I try to always eat good and healthy food. That doesn’t always work because I love junk food, too. It starts with the simple things, always.
“What I do every morning – it makes a difference with the skin- is I always I drink lemon water. [I do it] 15 minutes before I consume anything else and it makes your skin look amazing.”
As well as her skincare hack, Julia admitted that people prioritise the wrong things when it comes to having a healthy appearance.
She explained: “In terms of make-up, I always put on a lipstick or just a mascara. Really good skin is important for me. I still do the same make-up that I did when I was in high school. I think people bury themselves a little bit with the make-up nowadays.”
Julia’s self-love mantra was on fully display during Gucci Guilty campaign, which includes messages of friendship and acceptance.
She starred in the campaign alongside A$AP Rocky and Elliot Page, who she described as “sweet smart human beings”.
Julia continued: “I didn’t know them before but the first day was so easy with everybody’s chemistry – we just all clicked. I was such a fan of both of them before. What we have in common is that we’re all artists and I think we were happy to be there. We were having fun.
“The thing that I really love about Elliot Page and A$AP Rocky is they both have this openness about them. They have this non-judgmental spirit and they have a real confidence about them. It’s so fearless in a way.
“They’re just such sweet, smart human beings. I just felt lucky to even be breathing in the same room as them. It was very easy for me.”

Selena Gomez feels she needs to ‘give back’ after therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez wants to “give back” to the world after starting her therapy journey.
The 31-year-old superstar had been struggling with her mental health for years and fell into a dark place. Since starting therapy however, the ‘Only Murders In the Building’ actress has begun to heal.
Speaking with The Kit, Selena opened up about her battle with depression. She said: “I think what has truly helped me is learning about it. I started learning about Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. And I started to really understand, or at least try to understand, why I was feeling these emotions.
“Then later on, finding out I have a diagnosis of bipolar wasn’t scary to me. It felt like I understood what was happening and then I could try to find the right people to help me and guide me through it. So I feel very fortunate, which is why I think it’s so important for me to give back.”
Selena also champions the benefits of therapy to her friends, many of whom have tried it.
She said: “When my friends have tried therapy, they’ll go for two or three sessions.
“But that’s not going to be even the beginning of understanding and trusting someone. It’s also terrifying, so I have compassion for that. I would say it is scary, but if you take time and you’re able to see a therapist, that’s incredible.”
Selina started seeing a therapist after an episode of psychosis in 2018. She is now a major advocate for mental health awareness, particularly in young people.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) 700,000 people tragically take their own lives after struggling with their mental health every year.
Addressing the matter, the singer said: “If people don’t understand how important this is to this generation, and don’t know the statistics, I would encourage them to look into that. Because I feel like this is something we can truly change.
“And by affecting people and really giving them tools and skills … I mean, it sounds so stupid, but we could change the world. If anything, I just want to make people feel great, and feel seen and heard and loved.”

TikTok star Remi Bader ‘very frustrated’ by lack of inclusivity in fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Remi Bader is “very frustrated” by inclusivity in the fashion industry.
The 28-year-old TikTok star is known for her viral fashion hauls on the social media site but explained that even though there has been an “increase” in overall brands carrying more plus-sized options, the same can not be said for high-end designer names.
She told Popsugar: ” In the last 10 years, yes, there has been an increase in size inclusivity overall with brands carrying more plus sizes. However, when it comes to higher fashion brands like the ones that show in Fashion Week, there has been increasingly less inclusivity over the past few seasons. As a plus-size woman who has been trying to spread awareness around size inclusivity, it’s very frustrating. The average US woman is between a size 16 and 18, and it would only benefit these brands to gain more customers and make more money by creating larger sizes.”
Remi has now collaborated with Revolve for a collection that goes up to size 4X and added that she is “super excited” about her venture because she is able to give her customers “what they want” with the line.
She said: “The new collection is super exciting for me. I am even more excited than my first one because I was able to use the feedback from my followers and the online reviews and videos to create this new line. When I created the first line, I based it off of what I love to wear and my personal style. With this new line, I am really catering to so many other people and giving my followers and Revolve customers what they want. I am so excited for everyone to see the line that I created for them.

Scarlett Johannson ‘struggled’ with acne: ‘Looking back at old photos was so painful!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johannson “struggled” with acne during her youth.
The 38-year-old actress admitted that she suffered from skin issues when she was in her late teens and suffered from “painful memories” when recently looking at old pictures of herself.
She told Stylist: “I struggled with acne forever. My brother actually just showed me photos of myself at a family thing when I was probably 19 or 20, and my skin quality is completely different. When I saw that photo it just, you know, it brought everything back. All those painful memories. I just struggled with my skin for such a long time. I used to wear concealer to work in the morning, even though somebody was about to put make-up on my face.
“But that was when I was younger and the messaging around acne back then was that your skin was grimy and dirty, and you’d get rid of the blemishes by washing it. It was all so negative – and also incorrect. At that point, I was using every product I was prescribed and that I saw in the media. I would go through these cycles of drying out the acne and then having all this redness and irritation. It was a non-stop cycle. Then, when I was in my mid-to-late 20s, I just couldn’t do it anymore. I started using gentle products consistently, I began moisturising, and within a week my skin was completely different.”
The ‘Black Widow’ star has now launched skincare brand The Outset and explained that all of her friends were excited to hear about her new venture because they thought it was something she should have done years ago.
She said: “It’s funny, because when I told my friends I was starting a skincare line they were like, ‘Finally!’ So for them, it was [always on the cards for me] but I just never could have imagined entering into the start-up world. The b2b [business to business] space is a completely different industry for me, and it’s been challenging but also really rewarding.”

Michelle Keegan ‘doesn’t follow’ any fashion trends

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan “doesn’t follow” any fashion trends.
The 36-year-old actress explained that it is “important” to feel “comfortable” in clothing and she just knows what suits her personal shape.
She told Hello Magazine: “The important thing is to wear clothes that make you feel good and make you feel comfortable. I don’t follow a particular trend. I know what suits my body shape and I know what I feel comfortable in.”
Away from her career on screen, the former ‘Brassic’ star works with fashion brand Very on her own range of clothing and loves the “process” because it is “totally different” to what she normally does.
She said: “It’s totally different to my acting and I really enjoy the process, from going to design meetings and looking at swatches, colours and shapes to seeing how it all comes together. It has evolved as I’m evolving. I’m getting older now and you can see how it is growing with me. I’ve always loved a classic look and now I prefer neutral tones.”
Michelle shot to fame at the age of 20 when she took on the role of fiery barmaid Tina McIntyre on ‘Coronation Street’ but previously reflected that posing in lad mags early on in her career wasn’t something she necessarily wanted to do and would perhaps reject the idea these days.
She told Cosmopolitan: “It wasn’t something that I necessarily really wanted to do. I remember feeling very shy because I was really young. But I thought it came as part of being on TV. Now that I’m older, I realise that it is OK to say no to something that you don’t feel 100% happy with!”

‘For me, wellness is a huge part of my mental wellbeing…’ Scarlett Johansson shares the exercise schedule that keeps her healthy and happy

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Johansson works out four days a week for her mental wellbeing.
The 38-year-old actress has become a major star on the big screen thanks to her athletic figure and energetic roles, such as playing spy Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and cyber-human Mira in ‘Ghost in the Shell’.
But Scarlett insists her commitment to exercise is as much to do with her mental health, as it is her physical health.
In an interview with Stylist, she said: “For me, wellness is a huge part of my mental wellbeing. I try and do some sort of exercise around four days a week if I can. I’ve been doing Pilates for the last eight years or so, and I’ve found it to be amazing.
“I used to mostly just lift weights, but at some point, my recovery wasn’t what it used to be, you now. I think it’s just getting older and having my body change – but Pilates really helped me feel better in all ways.
“I do classes with a couple of different instructors, and I’ve been incorporating some weightlifting a little bit more again. I think I’m better at it now because of Pilates.”
Scarlett now has her own skincare line The Outset and her motivation for creating the range is her own battle with acne which has lasted years.
She said: “I struggled with acne forever. My brother actually just showed me photos of myself at a family thing when I was probably 19 or 20, and my skin quality is completely different.
“When I saw that photo it just, you know, it brought everything back. All those painful memories. I just struggled with my skin for such a long time.
Scarlett concluded that once she started using gentle skin products, she began to see significant changes quickly.
She added: “I started using gentle products consistently, I began moisturising, and within a week my skin was completely different.
“The result of my own skin quality, of my friends and our customers, it’s amazing. That’s what keeps us going here.”

Remi Bader calls on ‘frustrating’ fashion industry to be more size inclusive

OHMYGOSSIP — Remi Bader is on a mission to ensure the fashion industry is size inclusive.
Bader, 28, is a TikTok sensation who uses her social media platform to spread messages of body positivity to her 2.3 million followers.
Although she has been impressed with the changes in the business in the last decade to embrace plus-size models and make clothes for all body types, the influencer insists more needs to be done by the luxury brands.
In an interview with POPSUGAR, she said: “In the last 10 years, yes, there has been an increase in size inclusivity overall with brands carrying more plus sizes.
“However, when it comes to higher fashion brands like the ones that show in Fashion Week, there has been increasingly less inclusivity over the past few seasons. As a plus-size woman who has been trying to spread awareness around size inclusivity, it’s very frustrating.”
Bader pointed out that “the average US woman is between a size 16 and 18, and it would only benefit these brands to gain more customers and make more money by creating larger sizes”.
The plus size model is a leader in the design space, creating collections for Revolve that go up to size 4X, as well as consistently posting videos on her social media showcasing her favourite plus size-friendly retailers.
Remi – who has been a brand ambassador for Victoria’s Secret and worked with Free People, Nordstrom and ASOS – also spoke at this year’s MAGIC Fashion Trade Show in Las Vegas, where she reiterated her opinion.
Of that experience, she said: “Speaking at MAGIC meant a lot to me for many reasons. It was a very full-circle moment because my dad, who is in the garment centre, has been attending MAGIC for years. I went with him when I was young, and to have this opportunity to speak meant a lot to me.
“I am truly passionate about reshaping the fashion industry, and being able to speak at the world’s biggest fashion trade show was an amazing opportunity and an honour. I also loved meeting and learning from boutique owners and brands in person.”

‘As a good Taurus, we are very visual, so we admire beauty…’ Penelope Cruz’s star sign influences her fashion choices

OHMYGOSSIP — Penelope Cruz believes her star sign is the most important factor in her fashion decisions.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star is the face of Chanel watches, as well as a brand ambassador for the Italian shoe company Geox.
When Stylist asked the actress whether creativity or comfort were more important to her outfits, Penelope spilled that her style choices are often written in the stars.
The ‘Vanilla Sky’ star – who was born on April 28, 1974 and is a Taurus – said: “It’s a combination. As a good Taurus, we are very visual, so we admire beauty. The combination of that with comfort.
“Especially, I think, if you have children. My life is running around all day with them and also my work, I think that becomes very important. Of course, I will always like some heels, but it’s not my everyday life, you know.
“I am very happy with the sneakers that we designed [for Geox]. I think they are cool, but they are going to be very comfortable.”
The 49-year-old actress – who has son Leo, 12, and daughter Luna, 10, with her husband Javier Bardem – also revealed she had designed a capsule collection for Geox with her sister Mónica for the spring or summer next year.
When asked whether she and her sister influenced each other’s styles, Penelope said: “Yes, a lot, to the point of, you know, taking a lot of clothes from each other’s closets. Sometimes wearing exactly the same thing when we were little girls.”
Cruz then said that she and Mónica would hide “in the bathroom together and sitting on the floor with magazines and drawing on top of the designs and changing the designs. So that was always our main game and a fantasy”.
Penelope then gushed about the brand, and having the opportunity to work with her sister on something they are so passionate about.
She said: “I am also very grateful that I can do another collection with my sister, because we have done this on and off, with different brands, over the last 20 years.
“It is something that keeps happening here and there. So, we are very grateful because we continue to learn from these great brands.”

Makeup artist Mary Phillips praises Kendall Jenner for being ‘beautiful inside and out’

OHMYGOSSIP — Makeup artist Mary Phillips has praised Kendall Jenner for being “beautiful inside and out”.
Mary has an impressive portfolio of celebrity clients, including Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Camila Morrone, and she recently worked with Kendall for a L’Oreal Paris campaign.
The beauty expert has nothing but praise for Kendall, 27, as a person and a professional.
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she said: “I’ve had so many pinch-me moments in my career.
“I feel very grateful and blessed to be able to do what I love with people I love. Kendall is beautiful inside and out. It’s been so much fun.”
Mary insists her work with her A-list clientele is always a collaborative process and Kendall and her team worked with her closely on the shoot.
She explained: “There’s always a conversation between the hairstylist, the make-up artist and the fashion stylists and the client.
“I’ve worked with J.Lo for years and she’s heavily involved in what we’re doing. It’s the same with Kendall.
“Usually her hairstylist, Jen Atkin, her wardrobe stylist and I have a conversation before starting – you have to pick what element is going to be the star of the show – whether it’s the dress, or a bright lip or an updo. When there’s too much going on, you don’t know where to look.”
As well as her experience working with the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star, Mary revealed the difficulties she faces when her clients attend big events, such as the Met Gala.
She said: “With red carpet events, I always feel a lot of pressure because you’re sending them out and you have no control over the lighting.
“Or sometimes, they change the red carpet to a colour that’s not flattering. Sometimes it’ll be a green or blue and it’s hard to make that work.”

Pharrell Williams reveals inspiration behind Louis Vuitton vision

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams revealed the inspiration and aims of his Louis Vuitton vision.
The 50-year-old musician became the new Men’s Creative Director for the designer company in February, and debuted his menswear collection in June at the Paris Fashion Week.
When The Business of Fashion asked Pharrell what was the driving message for his collection, he explained that it was the aspiration of freedom.
He said: “When we say the word hip hop or rap and we say aspiration, the first thing most people are trained to think — and what’s been marketed to you — is that that means champagne bottles; that means like superfast foreign cars. And that’s not really what it is.
“For me, the aspirations of people who look like me is to be economically free, to be educated, to have equal access to health care, equal access to representation. And like I say, it’s also education first and foremost, so that you have the tools to go build out and live your dreams, whatever they may be. That’s luxury.
“Freedom is a luxury. Not everybody has freedom. And we want that. And so I try to tell these stories with our seasons and our campaigns and our shows.”
“That word freedom is such a heavy word these days. When you look around in certain places on the planet, there’s not a lot of people who are free…from their environments to even their legal systems.
“So that’s my job with this platform. To tell these stories and to inspire young or old, you can do it. What can’t you do? You can do it, too.”
As well as his vision for the company and its image, Pharrell also explained why he wanted to join the luxury brand.
He added: “What it is that I was brought in here to do is to push expansion and growth not only in sales, but in perspective, culturally.
“My culture has been a very significant contributor to the bottom line every quarter. Like, that’s not lost on the house. That’s not lost on the [Arnault] family. That’s not lost on me. So that’s important to us.”

The ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ star – who is the granddaughter of Elvis Presley – has been announced as an ambassador for the French fashion house, having worn the brand’s outfits to plenty of high profile events.
Chanel has confirmed the 34-year-old actress will be part of its upcoming spring 2024 campaign.
This week, she was a guest at creative director Virginie Viard’s Paris Fashion Week show.
She was in the City of Love back in July too as she attended Chanel’s haute couture display, while she was also around for the brand’s cruise 2023 show in Los Angeles two months earlier.
She has deeper links to the fashion house too, as she is good friends with longtime Chanel ambassador Kristen Stewart after they appeared together in ‘The Runaways’.
Kristen recently heaped praise on Riley, who has appeared in the likes of ‘The Terminal List’, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘American Honey’.
Speaking in the September issue of Vanity Fair magazine, she said: “She’s the best thing in everything she’s done. Because she’s not acting. She’s a solid sender.
“She’s always being honest, and that’s a vulnerable place to put yourself.
“And I don’t mean that to belittle any project, but there are some actors that just can’t do anything uninteresting.”
Meanwhile, Riley previously described her own fashion sense as “malleable” and “inconsistent”.
She told Who What Wear: “I think I’m very malleable [when it comes to fashion], and it’s super Gemini … I have days where I’m like: ‘I don’t feel inspired to wear anything – I just want to wear a T-shirt and pants and sneakers’ and then another day where I feel really inspired to put a whole look together. I’m very inconsistent.”

The 50-year-old former Playboy model has reflected on her 30 years in the spotlight, and recalled one of her wilder experiences in a hair and makeup chair.
She told E! News: “Oh yeah! I had a makeup artist smack me in the face once because I doing this with my lips [humming].
“I like to play with my gloss! I like to sometimes eat it, that’s why I made healthy lip gloss.
“She’s like, ‘Stop going like this!’ I kept forgetting on the set, and she came up and slapped me! She was French, so I should know – just kidding!”
As if things couldn’t get any worse, Jenny then ended up working with her again the very next day.

Meanwhile, the model recently unveiled her new mascara through her Formless Beauty brand.
She said: “We’re growing slowly but surely, slowly because it’s about integrity.”
Jenny delved into her approach with the mascara, which she claimed helps prevent “fall off” at the end of the day.

“At the end of the day you don’t have that fall off – it’s a real thing, because you look like a racoon.”

Selena Gomez is ‘grateful’ Rare Beauty is having such an impact

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez is “excited and grateful” by the impact her Rare Beauty brand is having on others.
The ‘Only Murders In The Building’ actress is delighted with the way her brand has grown as she hosted her inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit in support of youth mental health.
Asked if she ever imagined the difference it could make, she told Extra: “Definitely not. I truly wanted that to be something that would happen with the brand… I couldn’t be more excited and grateful.”
She opened up about how hearing other people’s stories has helped her through her own mental health journey.
She explained: “I think we are not alone.
“I think sometimes when you’re there listening to a friend going through something, it allows you to understand other people, and having them heal you through listening to what they are walking through… it connects you and bonds you, but you have to trust the right people to do that.”
Selena – who released her documentary ‘My Mind and Me’ last year – insisted that wasn’t her inspiration or goal when she started her career.
However, she’s glad to use her platform to promote such important causes.
She said: “I don’t think [I set out to do that]… I happened to be really passionate about this cause.
“I am really grateful that I can have a platform so I can use my voice for things like this.”
