Ming Lee Simmons is ‘addicted’ to online shopping

OHMYGOSSIP — Ming Lee Simmons is “addicted” to online shopping.
The 23-year-old model – who is the oldest daughter of fashion icon Kimora Lee Simmons and her music mogul ex-husband Russell Simmons – wishes “someone would delete” the luxury fashion app FRWD from her smartphone as she can’t stop using it.
She told Interview magazine: “I’m addicted to the FWRD app. I wish someone would delete it off my phone.”
Ming Lee also revealed that she is not “afraid of ageing” because she has inherited her looks from her glamorous mother.
She replied: “No, have you seen my mom?”
Ming Lee previously discussed how she has been kept “grounded” by her mother – who worked under the guidance of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld – despite her privileged upbringing
She told Hypebae Beauty earlier this year: “It’s going to sound cliche, but my mom really does keep me grounded. She’s always hammered the value of a dollar into all of us and she’s done an amazing job of supporting us while also doing her best to make us aware of our privilege.”
The brunette beauty also revealed that she isn’t daunted by the world of fashion as she “grew up on the runway” herself.
She told W magazine in 2017: “I grew up on the runway, walking with my mom and sister at the end of every Baby Phat show during fashion week in New York. I’ve been in ads with my mom and sister since I was two years old. I’m only now realising how uncommon that is, and I’m deeply appreciative of those experiences.”

Emma Stone was besotted with her white dress in Poor Things

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone could wear the white dress from ‘Poor Things’ “all day”.
The 35-year-old actress stars in Yorgos Lanthimos’s new movie as Bella Baxter and explained how the garment is her “favourite” costume that she has ever worn during her career on the big screen.
In conversation with the film’s costume designer Holly Waddington for Interview magazine, Emma said: “You know my favourite! My favourite costume I’ve ever worn! Ever.
“I’d just stay in that white dress all day, and that net! So I couldn’t really eat or drink once it was pinned in. But I’ve never worn something that beautiful.”
When her claim was dismissed by Waddington, the ‘La La Land’ star said: “No! It was so delicate and it felt like every part of her coming together in this gauzy confection. I just loved it.”
‘Poor Things’ was filmed in Budapest in 2021 and Waddington explained the challenges of trying to get period costumes arranged amid the restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic.
She said: “It was very challenging. I know people who are working in Budapest now, and they just nip on a plane home to Portobello Market to get some antique buttons or some fabric. But we were really there. We couldn’t nip off to anywhere.”
Emma explained that the picture is the most “detailed film” that she has ever worked on and is in “awe” of how Waddington put together the Victorian-era clothing.
She said: “It’s the most detailed film I’ve ever been a part of, for sure, and you were a big part of that. I’m just in awe of how you did it.”

Alicia Keys reveals how growing up in music influenced her makeup free era

OHMYGOSSIP — Alicia Keys has admitted growing up in the music industry inspired her decision to go makeup free.
The ‘Girl On Fire’ hitmaker previously went through a period of not wearing makeup as she rebelled against beauty standards, and she explained how she started to become aware of how she “wanted to feel”.
She told The Cut: “I started out in the music world when I was 17 years old and you are told that you put on this and you wear this, you get yourself together and you get ready to perform.
“You get to transform and be in a place where you can really identify how you want to express yourself.
“All of that is a beautiful part of growing and a beautiful part of being a woman is that you get to express yourself.”
The realisation helped Alicia accept that she didn’t need all the makeup and fancy clothes to feel “beautiful”.
She added: “It opened my eyes to how I didn’t feel comfortable or beautiful if I didn’t have my armour on, and if I didn’t have all my face and hair and pretty things and nice clothes on that somehow I was less than beautiful or just less than.
“I realised, like, Whoa, what’s underneath all that?’ It allowed me to have a conversation with myself about how I wanted to feel and even what I wanted to let go of.”
She clariied that she doesn’t think “makeup was the armour” so much as everything “put together”.
She continued: “I’ve been able to just recognise that we are perfect as we are and that doesn’t mean you don’t have days that you want to be different ways.
“Some days I’m totally in my sweats, I don’t care. I’m putting my sneakers on. It’s perfect. I love it, I feel great.
“Some days I’m like, ‘You know what? This is a day I’m ready to just turn up in every way.’ And Some days you’re somewhere in the middle and it’s cool.”

Bella Thorne wants to ‘hide battery packs’ in wedding hairstyle

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Thorne is planning to “hide battery packs” in her wedding day hairdo.
The 26-year-old star is set to marry fiance Mark Emms in 2024, and the former Disney Channel star is trying to figure out her style for the nuptials.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “The wedding is very fairytale, so I’ll be working twinkly lights into my hairstyles.
“I’ve been thinking about finding ways to hide battery packs into my hair so that my hair twinkles and doing really extreme hairstyles to work jewelry into.”
Bella – who started dating Mark in August 2022 and got engaged in May this year – revealed her wedding dress is being made by Italian fashion house Schiaparelli, and she wants to make a statement with her look.
She added: “I’ll probably stay away from pearls because it’s so classic that it feels too obvious for me – unless I do a ridiculous dripped look in pearls.”
The actress does have a mood board up for her wedding gown, and she’s torn between the idea of a “princess dress” or a “side booby” option with “very silky Grecian goddess kind of vibes”.
Speaking to People, she said: “I just got a bunch of [dress] designs back when I was on set and he came to visit me and I had this big folder … and I’m like, ‘Oh, what about this one? This one?’
“[And] all the girls in my trailer are like, ‘BT, don’t you dare show him’.
“We don’t even have the exact dress yet, but he was really floored by all of the dresses.”
Bella admitted she’s had to tell her man to “calm down” after he saw her in a “kind of white number” and immediately started thinking about their wedding day.
She revealed: “The other night we went to Seth McFarlane’s Christmas party and I was wearing this sequined, silver, kind of white number, and I walked out and he was like, ‘I feel like we’re getting married’.
“I was like, ‘Oh babe, calm down.’ ”

Elizabeth Hurley’s model son Damian signs new deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian has signed a new deal with The Lions Management.
The 21-year-old model – who also made his acting debut in 2016 in ‘The Royals’ – had previously been represented by IMG but he has changed camps to try and take his career to the next level.
The agency’s founder and managing partner Ali Kavoussi said: “The effortless charisma and charm that emanates from Damian Hurley made me instantly jump at the opportunity to represent him.
“While he’s had the fortune of already working with some of our industry’s best, including Steven Meisel and [stylist] Joe McKenna, the opportunities before him are limitless, and The Lions are very excited to be partnering with him on that journey.”
Damian broke into the fashion world when he was 17, having signed a one year exclusive deal with Steve Meisel.
He later got picked out by Pat McGrath, who chose him to be in her campaign for her inclusive foundation range Skin Fetish Subline Perfection.
More recently, he has teamed up with photographers like Mert and Marcus and Luigi and Iango, while he’s continuing to add to his portfolio.
He has also been helping his famous mother with her own fashion moments, and even encouraged her to pose for bikini series during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown a few years ago.
She told PeopleTV: “Well, it was challenging because I didn’t leave the country for anywhere hot. I filmed abroad, but I actually filmed in really cold countries. So all I had was my yard and my house, which is England.
“I didn’t have the beach, I didn’t have the sea, I don’t have any water. We very rarely have the sun.”
Speaking of her son, she said: “He said, mom, ‘Just do it.’ Okay. I’m like, ‘Okay.’ But it’s good. I had him on task, especially during lockdown.”

Pamela Anderson thought her makeup snub would go unnoticed

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson “didn’t think anyone would notice” that she wasn’t wearing makeup at Paris Fashion Week.
The ‘Baywatch’ icon caused a stir by not going makeup-free at the event earlier this year and was surprised by the reaction it generated.
Pamela told British Vogue: “I didn’t really even think anyone would notice. I was going it more for me than anything. I was just like, ‘Why am I putting so much effort into this? Why am I in a makeup chair for three hours?”
The 56-year-old actress also went bare-faced at the Fashion Awards in London last week and explained that she takes a relaxed approach when it comes to skincare.
Pamela said: “I’m not really a regimented person; it’s a couple of products.
“I have my facewash in the shower; I have to put [my products] in different places, I’m not going to sit in front of the sink and do some kind of ritual.”
Pamela was known for her eccentric fashion choices at the height of her fame during the 1990s and joked about the lasting legacy of some of her outfits.
She said: “There’s a few red-carpet moments that ended up as Halloween costumes – and I’m just going to take that as a compliment.”
Pamela has now entered a “new era” in her life and is far more confident in her own skin.
She said: “I think it’s a self-acceptance time of my life; just peeling back the layers – it’s almost like a fresh slate.
“I thought I was retired, but it hasn’t ended up that way. This is a whole new chapter.”

Selena Gomez wants Rare Beauty to offer ‘well-rounded experience’ with body care range

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez wanted Rare Beauty to offer a “well-rounded experience” with the move into body care.
The 31-year-old star’s cosmetics company is launching the Find Comfort Body Collection on December 19 and she was keen to offer a range of products with the new venture.
Selena told ELLE.com: “Deciding to move into body care with the Find Comfort Body Collection was a thoughtful choice for us and something I knew I wanted to do from the start but only when the timing was right. We wanted to offer a well-rounded experience, so we started with four key products: hand cream, body lotion, body and hair mist, and an aromatherapy pen. Each product took a different amount of time to develop, making sure they truly represented our brand and delivered a sensory experience in line with the collection’s theme.
“For us, self-comfort aligns with self-acceptance and feeling good in your own skin without the need for perfect routines. It’s those small moments of comfort that matter and can be different for everyone.”
Selena – whose new line includes The Body and Hair Mist, The Hydrating Body Lotion, The Hydrating Hand Cream and The Aromatherapy Pen – explained that she is “still learning” how to be a beauty mogul.
The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star said: “The last three years with Rare Beauty have been amazing, and it’s changed how I see myself as a businesswoman. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still learning and will continue to learn, but I’ve gained more confidence in making business decisions, leading a team, and tackling challenges.”

The K-pop boyband – which is made up of members Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee and Anton – have been appointed by the luxury French fashion house in an Instagram post that featured images of the group in outfits featuring the famous Louis Vuitton monogram.

Selena Gomez thrilled with feedback from fans on beauty brand

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez is thrilled to be getting so much positive feedback from fans about her beauty brand.
The 31-year-old pop star/actress launched her Rare Beauty line back in 2020 and it’s proved a huge hit with her followers and Selena insists she’s often stopped by admirers who want to talk to her about her make-up products instead of her music or acting projects.
She told Wwd.com: “Every time I meet someone in passing, and I am completely being honest with you, it’s always about Rare Beauty. It’s actually become more about that. And it’s really nice. I’m always delighted and honoured, but that’s usually what I get stopped most about. And it’s really been such a crazy experience, because we’re so new …
“I definitely get a lot of love for my blushes. So people will be very vocal about that. Or they’ll say they love the line or they love the messaging. A lot of people talk about how awesome it is that we’ve tried to make an inclusive brand. Truly for everyone.”
Selena went on to insist she is keen to listen to her customers and adapt the products to their needs. She added: “We’re constantly wanting to know how we can do more, and what our community needs.
“Everything we create has them in mind. So, for example, I love a really strong brow, and we launched a dual-ended product that was multifunctional with a tinted brown mascara on one end and a pencil on the other.
“But we noticed that the community was actually preferring one side over the other and not using both. So we decided to reformulate and come out with two great products that have been really well received.”
The company has done so well, Selena has been able to launch charity schemes including the Rare Impact Fund Benefit in support of youth mental health.
When asked if she could ever have imagined the difference her company could make, she told Extra: “Definitely not. I truly wanted that to be something that would happen with the brand … I couldn’t be more excited and grateful.”

Emma Stone’s make-up inspired by movie character

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone’s current make-up looks are inspired by the character she plays in new movie ‘Poor Things’.
The 35-year-old actress plays a young woman brought back to life in the new film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, and Emma has admitted her red carpet looks have become more “simple” as a nod to the naive Bella Baxter seen on screen.
She told Vanity Fair: “Because Bella, my character, is so without shame and self-judgment, I think that applies to beauty in a huge way, and confidence around beauty.
“So with this press tour, [my team] and I have been talking about a kind of inspiration of Bella and that sort of simplicity but still having fun with colour and youthfulness.”
Emma’s make-up artist Rachel Goodwin added of her current looks: “[It’s] minimalist approach to the make-up, being really strategic especially in regards to the skin.”
She revealed the actress prepared to hit the red carpet for the movie’s New York premiere by giving her skin some serious TLC which started with a steamy shower followed by a BioEffect hydrogel mask and a hyaluronic serum. Emma wore Pat McGrath Labs’ Skin Fetish foundation, and Goodwin said of the product: “It was actually designed to look like skin because she used it backstage on fashion shows where designers did not want that made-up look … [It’s about] embellishing versus perfecting.”
Goodwin added that Emma wore a Pat McGrath liquid eye liner and her lids were dusted with ChromaLuxe Artistry Pigment.
She went on to insist Emma’s brows were also a major nod to her movie character, explaining: “The brows were very much a big piece of Bella’s character. [The look Emma wears now is] a softer version, a bit more groomed of course – but they’re definitely present.”

Pierce Brosnan has a warehouse full of suits

OHMYGOSSIP — Pierce Brosnan keeps his vast collection of suits stored in a warehouse because he now prefers T-shirts.
The former James Bond has amassed a huge number of tailored outfits over the years, but he rarely wears them now as he prefers a laidback look when he’s hanging out at home in Malibu, California or in Hawaii – so the suits have all been put away in a large storage facility.
He told the Sunday Times Style magazine: “I never used to [wear T-shirts] … So much of my work persona has been that of style and suits, but now it’s T-shirts. I adore them. We live in Malibu and Hawaii, and you want to assimilate. You don’t want to stand out.
“When you’re younger, you do, but as you get older you wear clothes that you appreciate and feel good on you.”
However, the suits may still get another lease of life because Pierce’s model son Paris is keen to inherit them. Pierce added: “We keep talking about going down to the storage unit [to pass the suits on to Paris].”
Paris added: “A lot of my favourite pieces are hand-me-downs from dad … I took style inspiration from him. Looking at photos of him in the nineties, it was super-cool to see how his style evolved. Comfort is key now.”
Pierce and Paris have been fronting fashion campaigns together for Paul Shark with the pair shooting commercials together for the band in France and Italy to showcase “water-resistant Italian cashmere, fine wool knitwear and shirts in soft cotton”.
A statement from the brand about the pair’s second campaign explained: “The second chapter of the story of a journey between father and son, to discover the Italian beauties, between the Tuscan hills and the paths of a small village. A tale that is an ode to the bond shared between generations, by immortalising the spontaneity of small gestures: walking through narrow streets together, playing cards, enjoying the beauty of outdoor life and a close embrace.”

Jessica Simpson is sure that Y2K fashion will ‘always’ come back

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson is sure that Y2K fashion will “always” make a comeback.
The 43-year-old pop star released a string of hit singles like ‘Irresistible’ and ‘Take My Breath Away’ in the early 2000s and has saved a plethora of style items from that era because she thinks it will constantly find its way back into the mainstream.
She told Footwear News: “I honestly keep everything — too many things. I feel like Y2K will always come back.”
The ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ singer can easily equate some of her fashion looks from that time with some of the most memorable mosts of her career and is even considering pouring all of her memories into a book celebrating the styles of her heyday at one point.
She said: ” I just went back and grabbed stuff. And of course, I have to tell everybody everything. ‘And this is what I wore when I went to the bathroom in New York, this one time when this paparazzi tripped. I remember the stupidest details of everything. But they all have a story. Maybe I should write it down and do a fashion book or something. You never know.”
The former reality star – who outside of her career in entertainment has launched her fashion range The Jessica Simpson Collection – went on to recall meeting industry legend Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week and rejoiced in not having to wear a bra because she was in her early twenties.
She said: “I loved it so much because I didn’t have to wear a bra and it was very fashion for me at 23 years old.
“That’s when I actually met Michael Kors and he was so kind and generous to me. He let me take the dress home. It was in my closet until I got pregnant with Maxwell, and I never thought I would lose the weight to wear it again. I actually want it back! I wish I hadn’t given it away!”

Brigitte Nielsen thrilled to see older women in modelling – ‘Things are changing!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Brigitte Nielsen is thrilled to see a “diversity of ages” in the modelling industry.
The 60-year-old ‘Rocky IV’ star began her career as a model in the 1980s but made a “confident” return to the catwalk for Balenciaga’s pre-fall 2024 show in Los Angeles and explained how attitudes have changed since she started out.
She told Vogue: “I wanted to walk with an attitude of confidence. That’s basically my middle name. Life is [all about] taking a walk with confidence and courage. In the eighties, [models] had to be young and slim. Today you can be a woman be in your sixties, and still be doing the runway. The diversity of ages and sizes is so wonderful [to see]—I really think this is the new us. It’s a new chapter in my life and I’m embracing it!”
The ‘Red Sonja’ actress wore a tight black turtleneck with black jeans for the high-profile fashion event and went on to add that she is a fan of anything that makes her feel like she is being “hugged” when it comes to her clothes although she had to “get used” to the Demna platform heels she was seen strutting around in.
She said: “I like anything stretchy and body-clinging. I want to always feel like I’m being hugged. I will say: At 60 years old, honey, I had to get used to the seven-inch platforms for a second. Helmut Newton always said you can never be tall enough. Plus, there’s nothing better than having people look up at you.”

Mariah Carey refers secrets to a perfect bath

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey prefers bath salts to bubbles.
The ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ star is known for her love of baths, but she has insisted there is a secret to the perfect soak when it comes to her own beauty routine.
She told People: “If someone is kind enough to say ‘Okay, I know you’re probably going to want to get inside and go in the bath, so I’ll run it for you.’ Well…
“They put in too many bubbles. That gets a little bit out of control because then you can’t just lay back without getting bubbles all over you.
“I prefer the bath salts, and those can really be good, especially if you’re a little sore or whatever, you can just soak in bath salts.”
She revealed her go to choice for bath salts are the “orange ones”, adding that the lavender ones “are really relaxing”.
She also urged her fans to make sure they use the right amount of bath salts, noting: “Not the whole jug. And then some bath oils.”
Meanwhile, Mariah is also a fan of milk baths, pointing to Cleopatra as her inspiraiton.
She said: “I need to take milk baths again. Cleopatra bathed in milk, darling. If you’re unaware, you should be aware of this.”
When it comes to her baths, Mariah had more advice as she told people to keep their phone to hand, admitting she’s always been a fan of chatting the bath.
She added: “Everybody gets mad at me when they talk to me and I’m in the bath.
“They’re like, ‘It’s a little boomy where you are. What are you doing?’ But I’ve been like that since I was little.”
