Georgia Toffolo suffers from acne but wants to use her Instagram to spread ‘skin positivity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Georgia Toffolo has suffered from “severe acne” for 15 years.
The 29-year-old TV star admitted that she suffers from the common skin condition that causes spots and oily skin but since shooting to fame on ‘Made in Chelsea’ in 2014 has amassed more than one million followers on Instagram and wants to use her platform to spread “skin positivity” amongst her fans.
She told Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “It’s a real responsibility. I go out of my way to have conversations on there that are real and honest. Social media for me has been a gift but for some, it can take a toll. I’m big on talking about skin positivity because I’ve struggled for 15 years with quite severe acne.”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner recently explained that she used to feel “less confident” as a result of the condition and did experience a small bit of trolling when she exited the ITV1 reality show in 2017 despite having just been voted Queen of the Jungle.
She told MailOnline: “My skin was something that made me feel less than confident, really.
“I had a bit of light trolling when I came out of the jungle. But I did this amazing feature on ‘This Morning’ and it was really simple: I just took off my make-up.
“I was so worried about what people would say about my acne. But I just carried on. I looked down the barrel of the camera. I said some of the nasty things that I’ve read across socials, and it had such an impact.
“From that day on, the trolling seemed to evaporate.”

Kid Cudi decided to work on his fashion range because of the COVID-19 lockdowns

OHMYGOSSIP — Kid Cudi only decided to work on his clothing range during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The 39-year-old rapper – whose real name is Scott Mescudi – launched the Members of the Rage line in earlier this year but admitted that the range had suffered some setbacks in the years prior to the onset of the pandemic and it was being shut up at home that motivated him to get on with it.
He told CoolHunting.com: “Members of the Rage kind of started around 2016. That was when I first attempted to get it started, and the samples I sent out came back terrible. I got discouraged for four or five years. It wasn’t until 2021, when I was in New Zealand working on a movie, and I was in quarantine for two weeks. I was like, I can’t be just sitting in this room not doing anything. I have to do something. I think I finally need to conjure up my clothing line and concept and figure out what it is.”
The ‘She’s Lookin’ For Me’ hitmaker went on to add that he pulled the range together over the course if two weeks as he was determined to incorporate everything that is the true him into the brand.
He added: “During that time that two weeks, Members of the Rage was fully formed. I came up with the name and I reached out to Nigo at the time to help me out with the logo. It was truly just me wanting to do everything that encompasses Scott Mescudi; it’s everything that I’m about. I’m a 39-year-old man. I was raised in the nineties. I love that era. I kind of wanted to do something that fit along those lines and in that realm and mix it up with some new twists and put a new futurism stamp on it and just try to make it fun and playful.”

‘This was kind of new to me’: Elliot Page wasn’t interested in fashion before Gucci Guilty campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Elliot Page had never been “excited” by fashion before his Gucci Guilty campaign.
The 36-year-old actor – who came out as transgender in 2020 – featured in his first fragrance campaign alongside A$AP Rocky and Julia Garner earlier this year but explained that the topic had never previously “excited” him that much.
Elliot told Nylon magazine: “This was kind of new to me – and fashion, too.
“I think a lot of clothes before probably weren’t that exciting for me and now things are more exciting and I feel more embodied. Getting to learn about and experience that more in a way where I feel more connected to it is definitely a game changer.”
The ‘Juno’ star explained that the experience of being in a “sensual throuple” with the rapper and the ‘Ozark’ actress was the most enjoyable part of the campaign.
He said: “I think having the opportunity to work with Julia and Rocky – two people I’m a big fan of – and to create something that was about being yourself, about feeling free to play, and being in the moment and letting it all go – but also caring for one another. I can’t speak more highly of them.
“I liked creating something that did feel really free and open, and getting to explore this sensual throuple relationship with them. I haven’t seen too much of that before and that to me is a cool part of this whole thing.
“When the three of us were just getting to hang out and have fun, that was the highlight for me. We had this seamless connection and spent days together having fun and exploring these characters on some level.”

Dua Lipa dyed her hair red because she ‘feels things in colours’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa dyed her hair red because she “feels things in colours”.
The ‘Houdini’ hitmaker turned her beautiful brunette tresses a beautiful rich wine hue to match her new musical era and satisfy her inkling of synesthesia – a condition that artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Lorde and Beyonce have all claimed they have – that makes certain people see sounds in colours.
The 28-year-old pop star told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired Daily Column: “Usually when I write, I think about visual stuff, whether its colours, what the video will look like or whatever.
“It’s like a clinical term synesthesia, I don’t think I necessarily have that but I just feel things in colours.
“I feel like a lot of the songs that I have written for this record I saw them in a red, which why I dyed my hair red.”
Dua – who last dropped an album in 2020 with the smash hit ‘Future Nostalgia’ – dubbed her ‘Argylle’ co-star John Cena, 46, her “emotional support actor” after working opposite in him ‘Barbie’ when he was her Ken to her mermaid version of the iconic doll.
She told Vanity Fair: “It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him! He’s really my emotional support actor.”
“It was fab, and he’s amazing, and I absolutely love working with John. He’s such a great guy and so lovely.”
The ‘New Rules’ singer mused that the highest-grossing film of 2023’s director, Greta Gerwig, 40, “defied all odds” to make it into the cultural touchstone it turned out to be.
Dua said: “The thing is, Greta just really defied all odds. Nobody knew what to expect from the Barbie film and for it to be able to hit so many chords, from it being so fun and happy and funny, to then really hitting the heartstrings and touching on something really emotional and having you, especially as a woman, contemplate your place and what’s expected of you.”

The Crown’s Viola Prettejohn had a ‘pinch me’ moment getting fitted by late Queen’s tailor

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Crown’ star Viola Prettejohn had a “pinch me” moment when she was getting fitted out by the late Queen’s tailor.
The ‘Generation Z’ star – who plays the teenage version of the late Queen Elizabeth II in the sixth season of the Netflix royal drama – was thrilled to head to Saville Rowe’s iconic tailor Dege and Skinner and revealed the regal treatment really got her into her “character”.
The 20-year-old actress told Marie Claire magazine: “The military uniform was made exactly for me on Saville Row by one of the Queen’s tailors, Dege and Skinner. I got the call about the role and then, a day or two later, I was on Saville Row getting fitted, thinking ‘What is my life’. It makes it so much easier to get into character when you have a costume like that.”
Viola detailed meeting the other women to take on monarch – who passed away aged 96 following seven decades on the throne last year – including current role holder Imelda Staunton, 67, and previous actresses Olivia Colman, 49, and Claire Foy, 39, who she chatted to “briefly”.
She said: “I met Imelda a couple of times in her make-up trailer when I was filming episode 10, and she was always just the most supportive and lovely person to be around. Then I met Claire and Olivia briefly. We were quite a closed-off unit though – as we were back in the war times.”
The ex ‘The Witcher’ star admitted to being a causal participant in regal culture so she didn’t “feel too weighted by it all”.
Viola said: “I’ve watched the big events on TV like royal weddings and the Queen’s funeral, but apart from that I didn’t know too much. I didn’t read too much [on the royals] as I didn’t want to feel too weighed down by it all.
“What we were trying to unpick was the unseen version of Elizabeth. Her one night of freedom that no one got to see. There’s a scene in the last episode where Claire’s character says ‘Elizabeth Windsor is gone’—that was the Elizabeth we were trying to capture.”

Jodie Foster only wears makeup on an occasional basis

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Foster only wears makeup “occasionally”.
The Oscar-winning actress made the admission as she reminisced on wearing cosmetics from the very start of her career as a child star and questioned why it has taken attitudes to beauty standards so long to change.
Jodie told Interview magazine: “I had worn makeup since I was three because I did television, so my whole experience with makeup was, you sit in the chair and it’s usually about 4:30 in the morning, and sometimes the trailer’s outside, so it’s freezing cold and somebody’s putting thick pancake on you, and they roll it on wet on your body, which is uncomfortable. When you get home at night, after 10 hours of work, you’ve got orange pancake running down the sink.
“And in this era, look, I wear makeup occasionally when I go out or something, but it is a funny thing that we didn’t question it until this new era of gender consciousness. Who said we were supposed to do that? Who started it?”
Jodie became the youngest person to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ when she did so at the age of 14 in 1976 (until Drew Barrymore presented aged seven in 1982) and recalled how she did with a stained shirt after spilling a drink.
The 61-year-old star recalled: “‘SNL’ was what was happening them. It was Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, and every single person that you’ve ever heard of that was on ‘SNL’ in those days, because it was a transition between the two groups.
“So it was an extraordinary show, but I was really nervous. I’d never done live anything. About 10 minutes before I went on, I was drinking an Orange Julius, and the whole thing fell all over my shirt. I didn’t have time to change my clothes, and I was all sticky and broke out in hives because it didn’t go perfectly. So yeah, it wasn’t this wonderful experience for me. It was more like, ‘Oh wow, this is why I don’t like live theatre.'”

Rihanna returns with ‘bigger and badder’ Puma Creepers

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has launched a “bigger and badder” range of her Creeper shoes.
The pop star-turned-entrepreneur revived her Fenty x Puma collaboration with the popular sportswear brand earlier this year and sported a lavender and cherry red version of the popular fat-soled sneakers at a Los Angeles launch party on Monday (18.12.23) night.
Speaking to Elle.com, Rihanna said: “(The Creeper’s) a fan favourite, and the fans have wanted to bring it back since the last drop.
“It’s what everyone has asked me for, ‘When are you going to give us a Creeper?’ We decided to bring it back bigger and badder.”
The new shoe lives up to the ‘We Found Love’ hitmaker’s billing as it has been rechristened the Creeper Phatty in honour of its pumped-up proportions.
Meanwhile, Rihanna explained how two very contrasting outfits that she wore at glitzy events “encapsulated” her vast style range.
She said: “There are two different worlds that I created, one was butt-naked with jewels and crystals all over me for the CFDA Awards, and I was like, ‘This is the sexiest moment. Nothing I ever wear will top this.’
“Then, right after that, for a performance at the Grammys, I wore a full men’s suit, and I think that encapsulated my entire range of style at the time going from one to the other. It was super authentic to what I was feeling at the time.”

Sydney Sweeney designed swimsuit collection with style and practicality at heart

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney designed her swimsuit collection with style and practicality in mind.
The ‘Euphoria’ actress unveiled the ‘Love Letters by Sydney Sweeney’ with Frankies Bikinis earlier this year and explained that she wanted outfits to suit all locations.
Sydney told Glamour magazine: “If I’m at the beach, I want tiny little straps and cute colours. If I’m at the lake, I want support so I can jump off any rock and not have to worry about my boobs falling out.”
The 26-year-old star took centre stage in the music video for The Rolling Stones song ‘Angry’ in September and explained how she selected her own outfit amid debate about sexual objectification.
Sydney said: “I felt hot. I picked my own outfit of racks and racks of clothes. I felt so good in it.
“One of the questions I get is, ‘Are you a feminist?’ I find empowerment through embracing the body that I have. That’s sexy and strong, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I’m in a Rolling Stones video. How cool and iconic is that? I felt so good.
“All the moves, everything I was doing was all freestyle. I mean, who else gets to roll around on the top of a convertible driving down Sunset Boulevard with police escorts? It’s the cool things in this career that I had no idea I’d get to do.”

Despite her love of fashion, Kendall will not be gifting any top accessories for her famous siblings this Christmas.
The former ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star said: “As cheesy as this might sound, more of my time – but obviously, there are gifts involved.

Charithra Chandran: Bridgerton felt real after costume fitting

OHMYGOSSIP — Charithra Chandran has revealed that being cast in ‘Bridgerton’ felt “real” once she had her first costume fitting.
The 26-year-old star features in the second series of the Netflix period drama as Edwina Sharma and explained how trying on a dress was a key moment in transforming into her alter ego.
Charithra told Marie Claire: “I really loved the first costume fitting because it doesn’t quite feel real until you’re in the outfit, right? It was this beautiful, bright white dress and it’s still one of my favourites.”
The actress revealed how she feared that she had missed out on a part in the series after failing in her audition for the role of Kate Bridgerton but was later given a second chance.
Charithra recalled: “My agent got a request from the casting director for me to audition for Kate. And then after a while it became clear that I was just too young. Then I went on to be in another show. So I’m like, ‘Oh, well, you know, opportunity gone.’
“And then, in the middle of filming this other show, my agent comes back to me and says, ‘Hey, they would actually love you for Edwina. I was just like, ‘It feels like it’s meant to be; it feels like I’m meant to be in the show – what a wonderful second chance.'”

Greta Gerwig did not include Birkenstocks in Barbie for product placement

OHMYGOSSIP — Greta Gerwig insists that the Birkenstocks featured in ‘Barbie’ were not product placement.
Margot Robbie’s title character is unexpectedly seen in the sandals towards the end of the movie and the filmmaker insists that this was not done for commercial purposes.
In an interview with Variety alongside the hit film’s costume designer Jacqueline Durran, Greta said: “I will have it be known, that the Birkenstocks was not product placement. We just wanted Birkenstocks.”
The ‘Little Women’ director explained how the shoe embodies the changes that Barbie goes through during the picture.
She said: “When she first holds the shoe up, it’s the classic suede version. As she becomes more human, there are a lot of things – the clothes, the fabrics, the patterns, and even the jewellery become more delicate. That’s something Margot and Jacqueline did.
“But the Birkenstock at the end shows how Barbie changes from beginning to end. We wanted it to be pink because she’s still Barbie. We looked at the bright pink one.
“It felt sweet, charming and perfect. Anything on screen, I feel we looked at 100 versions of.”
Gerwig and Durran explained how a scene involving bathing costumes required lots of work as the 40-year-old director wanted swimwear items that resembled those worn in the past.
She said: “I didn’t want them in string bikinis. I wanted something more 1950s or 1920s bathing costumes.”
Durran added: “In the art department, they had boards and boards of reference. They had 1950s photographs of groups of women playing on the beach.
“What was interesting was groups of women playing with beach balls. They were nostalgic and had an innocence about them. It was groups of women doing things on the beach and it wasn’t objectified in any way.”

Jamie Redknapp insists Sandbanks clothes are worth paying a premium

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Redknapp has insisted his clothing line is “made to last”.
The former footballer co-founded Sandbanks five years ago and while the shirt jackets start at over £400 and long-length puffer coats retail at more than £750, the ‘League of their Own’ panellist insisted the high price point is justified.
He told Ireland’s Business Post newspaper: “I wasted loads of money on clothes in the past, as we all do, but these jackets are made to last.”
The 50-year-old pundit described the clothes – which are made using recycled plastic bottles from the ocean and landfill – as “cool, well-designed and incredibly well-made clothes” and it is important to him that they are available to buy in physical stores, not just online.
Of the brand’s recent concession at Brown Thomas in Dublin, he said: “It was amazing to hear that the brand was going to be stocked there.
“I’m old-school. I like to feel and touch clothes before I buy them, and I’m really pleased that customers in Dublin will be able to try on the jackets too.”
Jamie credits his interest in fashion to his older brother Mark and admitted it has been a passion from a young age.
He said: “He was a very stylish big brother and I always looked up to him. He wore Fila and Kappa and all those very trendy brands.
“Clothes have always appealed to me.”
Jamie got his first taste for design as a teenager, working with her dad Harry Redknapp to redesign a football kit.
He recalled: “I remember helping my dad redesign one of the playing kits when he was managing Bournemouth. I was only 14 or 15. We gave the shorts a longer cut and changed the colours to red and black, just like AC Milan.”

Victoria Beckham’s husband David has never seen her without perfect eyebrows

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham’s husband David has never seen her without her eyebrows pencilled in.
The Spice Girls star – who runs her own Victoria Beckham Beauty company – has declared her brows are the most important part of her make-up routine and she’s so fastidious about keeping them neat her husband of 25 has never seen her with a single hair out of place.

She went on to say her second must-have item is the Instant Brightening Waterline Pencil, adding it makes her “eyes look more awake”.
Victoria added: “Make-up is my thing. Probably the only thing I was any good at in school was art.”
She also revealed she isn’t too worried about the ageing process because she’s never been totally comfortable with the way she looks.
Victoria explained: “I’ve never done that [looked in the mirror and thought I looked great]. I didn’t do it when I was 20. I didn’t do it when I was 30. I didn’t do it at 40 …
“I look back at pictures from when I was in the Spice Girls and think, ‘Didn’t like your make-up there, didn’t like your outfit there’.
“As women, I think a lot of us do that. I never thought I looked terrible. But I don’t look back and go, ‘Oh, God, I wish I was that again.’ It’s not as if I’m getting older and I’m like, ‘Oh, Christ!’ [The ageing process] has always been more than that.”

Meg Bellamy loved the ‘thicker’ eye look for the young Kate Middleton in The Crown

OHMYGOSSIP — Meg Bellamy loved the “thicker” eye look for the young Kate Middleton in ‘The Crown’.
The 21-year-old actress stars in the sixth and final season of the Netflix royal drama as the future Princess of Wales and hailed the “amazing” research that went into replicating Kate’s look during the early stages of her relationship with Prince William (Ed McVey).
Meg told Glamour: “Something that was really fascinating is we rounded my eyes a little bit because Kate often wore heavier eye makeup and she has round eyes, so we’d make the eyeliner thicker in the middle parts of my eyes. So just little intricate things that I really get nerdy about. The research that goes into the look is absolutely amazing, and it’s really a pleasure to be that canvas.”
Meg explained that she did not have to make many changes to her hairstyle as it already resembled that of the royal’s brunette locks.
She recalled: “We didn’t do a whole lot different because my hair was kind of similar to Kate’s, but as soon as I was cast, I was told, “Don’t cut it or dye it or do anything crazy.’ I don’t think I cut my hair for six, seven months.
“But we diffused it in the morning to get more of a natural wavy texture that’s a bit more like Kate’s. And sometimes we’d have what’s called a weft or a piece, which is a band of extra hair, so if we were doing a bigger look or a party look, we’d use that.”
Meg explained how her sense of style is very different to that of Kate’s and she relished the “interesting” change in clothing.
She said: “Oh, my gosh, so much of it. It was so fascinating. I loved every fitting, just seeing what they pulled from the rack and stuff.
“But I’d say the most useful stuff that I wore was the low-rise jeans, thick chunky belts, and long horse boots of the time, just because it’s so far away from anything I wear. I don’t own any low-rise jeans, I never have. It really changes how you hold yourself and your posture and things like that, so that was really interesting to feel different.”
