Frances Bean Cobain is 'flattered' to be the new face of Marc Jacobs S/S17 campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Frances Bean Cobain felt “flattered” Marc Jacobs handpicked her to be the face of his Spring/Summer 2017 campaign.
The 24-year-old visual artist – who is the daughter of Courtney Love and the late musician Kurt Cobain – has made her modelling debut in the 53-year-old fashion designer’s latest campaign, and although she is honoured she represents the brand she has admitted it was “100 per cent” out of her comfort zone and she doesn’t plan on working for any other brand for “a very long time”.
Speaking to Vogue.com about her venture, the brunette beauty said: “I don’t think I’ll be modelling for anybody else for a very long time – this is 100 per cent outside my comfort zone. I wouldn’t have done it with anyone other than Marc.
“I don’t model unless I think the project is cool, and I don’t put my name behind something that I don’t genuinely believe in. I thought this collection was great, and I was flattered that Marc thought of me for this. What I said to Marc when I was saying yes was that he’s an underdog for the masses. He’s still very rebellious within the fashion world, and he’s been like that his entire career.
“I could never do [modelling] professionally, but I’m glad I did it with Marc, because I trust him.
“I’m not representing the beautiful top models of the world. I’m representing what a general, standard, average human girl would look like wearing these clothes. I think that’s why Marc picked me for this.”
And the star has admitted she “don’t care very much” about fashion and has a very simple style.
She explained: “I honestly don’t care very much. I’m a black jeans, vintage T-shirt, boots girl. That is my daily uniform. I can appreciate fashion without having to let it consume me or [feeling the need] to be part of that world. In my personal life, I’m just lazy about it.”
And the creative mastermind has admitted he has “always” wanted to collaborate with Frances because he has known her since she was a tiny tot and would often dine with the 52-year-old musician and actress.
Alongside an image of Frances from the photoshoot, which he shared to his Instagram account, he wrote: “I first met Frances Bean when she was 2 years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC.
I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected.
Few things remain as constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty, integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture beyond preconceived boundaries.
Photographed by @davidsimsofficial, I am pleased to share the first image of Frances Bean Cobain for our Spring/Summer 2017 campaign. (sic).”

Taylor Hill is the new face of Joe's Jeans

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Hill is the new face of Joe’s Jeans.
The 20-year-old model has been announced as the collaborator and brand representative of the premium company, which will see the brunette beauty star in the campaign but also design four collections for the company, which will first launch in April and May, whilst the future capsules will be unveiled in August, November this year, and the final launch will be in 2018.
And Taylor has admitted she “really loved” being involved in the creative element because she never usually sees what happens behind-the-scenes and is used to being in front of the camera sporting the garments instead.
Speaking about her latest venture to WWD.com, she said: “I really loved it. I thought it was something different. As a model, you don’t really get to see this part, and I thought it was really cool to be a part of the process, and have an input, and make it my own.”
The catwalk icon has revealed she has always had a penchant for creating new products and even contemplated having a career in graphic design or fashion design before she started modelling.
She explained: “Before I was scouted, I was thinking of doing graphic design for college, and I took sewing classes because I was thinking of going into fashion design. I had no idea what I wanted to do, and I ended up modelling.”
And the fashion house are excited about their partnership with Taylor because she has “a lot of energy and passion for craftsmanship”.
The Chief Executive Officer of Joe’s jeans, Suzy Biszantz, said: “We liked that she’s an up-and-comer and the momentum she’s getting in modelling, but we really liked that she had a lot of energy and passion for craftsmanship, design and fabric.
“The idea is to keep it really tight and well edited and curated. Nothing will be in that assortment that she [Hill] doesn’t believe in and doesn’t personally love. It’s enhancing and layering onto what we do at Joe’s already.”

Lily Rose Depp felt 'pretty intimidated' when she first met Karl Lagerfeld

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Rose Depp felt “pretty intimidated” when she first met Karl Lagerfeld.
The 17-year-old model – who modelled in Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture catwalk show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (24.01.17) – has admitted she was overcome with nerves when she first met the 83-year-old fashion designer, but has admitted he isn’t as “scary” as people assume.
Speaking about her partnership with the creative mastermind, the catwalk icon said: “A lot of people will think that working with Karl is intimidating as he is such an icon and presence, and in a way I guess it is.
“I was pretty nervous in the beginning and pretty intimidated even though I’ve known him since I was eight years old. But I think once you get on set and you’re actually there, working with him you realise, he’s really not as scary and intimidating as everyone thinks he is. He’s honestly just the nicest guy. And he’s so smart and creative.”
And the brunette beauty – who is the daughter of 53-year-old actor Johnny Depp and his former partner Vanessa Paridis, 44 – has admitted a collaboration with Karl is more of a partnership because he makes work “enjoyable” and “really comfortable”.
She told InStyle.co.uk: “Working with him is a collaboration more than anything else. He wants to work with you, he wants to see what you bring to the table and you want to see what he brings to the table, so it’s more of a partnership in that way which is what makes it’s so enjoyable. He is the best person I’ve ever shot with.
“He makes you feel really comfortable. Once he gets what he wants and once he knows he’s got the shot that he wants, you’re done so it’s not like you have to slave away all day for one photo because once he knows that he has got what he is looking for then you are done. That’s what’s so good about collaborating with him because you find that common ground, you know what works him and what works for you and it always ends up making something really amazing.”

Zendaya wears lace-front wigs to look 'completely different'

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya wears lace-front wigs to make her look “completely different”.
The 20-year-old actress has admitted she often uses false hair pieces, including hair extensions and full wigs, which she prefers because they give “full coverage”, look “natural”, and help her to change her aesthetic with one product.
Speaking on her website zendaya.com about her beauty tips, the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ star said: “[Lace-front wigs] those are the best when it comes to full-coverage and looking natural. They can be applied with tape and/or glue. I wear them when I want a completely different look.”
And the brunette beauty – who is also known for her role as Rocky Blue in the Disney television series ‘Shake It Up’ alongside Bella Thorne – has advised those who want to opt for a weave, when the hair is braided and the fake locks are stitched into the plait, should be regularly re-done, because she believes it is “disgusting” if it isn’t changed.
She said: “A weave is when you braid your hair up, you have a net over it and you weave the hair — the tracks — into the net that is sewn onto your head. You can have it up to a month and some change depending on how your hair grows and how you take care of it. You must get it re-done, it can’t stay on forever, that is disgusting.”
Meanwhile, the fashion icon – who launched her clothing line Daya by Zendaya in November 2016 – has hinted she has a laid-back and casual style because she wears tracksuits “99 per cent” of the time.
Speaking previously about her wardrobe choices, she said: “In many ways, I have different facets of my life and lifestyle and what I do, and I think that is reflected in my clothing brand, Daya. It’s a way of hitting all those points of who I am. On a day-to-day basis, what I wear depends on how lazy I am. Ninety-nine per cent of the time I wear sweatpants, which is why I have so many sweats and jumpsuits in my collection.”

Audrina Patridge owns 'over 1,000' swimsuits

OHMYGOSSIP — Audrina Patridge owns “over 1,000” swimsuits.
The 31-year-old television personality – who launched her debut beachwear range Prey Swim in November last year – has revealed she has an extensive collection of bathing suits because she has kept every item of clothing she has worn over the years.
Speaking about her personal belongings, the ‘The Hill’s alumni said: “I keep everything. I have over 1,000 swimsuits.”
And the reality star – who has seven-month-old daughter Kirra with her husband Corey Bohan – has admitted her favourite garment from her own label is the Duck Dive bottoms, which she has likened to a “butt bra”, because they uplift your derriere.
She said: “The Duck Dive bottoms are so different and no one has anything like them. They’re like a butt bra — they lift your cheeks. They’re so cute and so stylish and they literally will stay on if you surf. That’s why we named them “duck dive,” from the surfing term when you duck under wave. They go really cute with the Wonderlust top.”
Audrina believes she has acquired a “whole new respect for the swim industry” after designing her line because it is much more intricate and complex than she imagined.
She explained to PEOPLE: “I have learned so much. I have a whole new respect for the swim industry. A swimsuit is not just a little piece of fabric sewn together. There is so much detail and so many things that go into making a swimsuit – it’s mind-blowing. I’ve been hands on every step of the way and it’s just amazing to me what the process. People don’t realize all the hardware, the stitching, the detail that goes into it, the thought process and just the structure behind it, plus all the fittings that are done to make sure that it fits the body and it hugs every curve the right way.
“And one of the things I wanted to do with my line was focus on the endurance of the fabric. I spent most of the money on the quality and the structure of the suit and not so much on the marketing. I wanted the suits to be worth the price, and I also wanted styles to be reversible so it’s like two for the price of one.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's mother tells her not to 'hide' behind make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s mother has advised her never to “hide” behind make-up.
The 29-year-old model has admitted she regularly goes to her parent, Fiona, for beauty advice, and is often told to use cosmetic products to “enhance” her assets rather than to let her beauty look overpower and to look like she is being “worn” by the make-up.
She said: “My mum always told me that make-up should enhance it shouldn’t hide. Make-up is there to enhance what you have naturally and your favourite asset, whether that is your lips, or your eyes, whatever it is you should really enhance it rather than hiding it.
“My make-up look on a whole is pretty classic and pretty natural. I always like to feel like myself. I don’t feel any trends. I want to feel the best I can feel, and I am very lucky I get to work with all the pros and the incredible make-up artists every day. It takes a village, but for me, it’s always about feeling natural and feeling polished and easy. I always like to feel like myself, and I never like to feel like I’m being worn by a look.”
And the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star – who is engaged to 49-year-old actor Jason Statham – has revealed her minimalist look means she will never leave the house without two essential lip products.
She said: “I can’t leave the house without because they really go hand in hand is a great lip balm and a lip liner.”
The style icon has admitted she has to be “diligent” with her daily beauty routine, which sees her wash “cleanse, tone and moisturise” her face “every morning” after she guzzles a large amount of water to “get everything moving”.
Speaking about her morning rituals on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, the golden-haired beauty said: “Every morning I wake up and one of the first things I do is to drink as much water as I can. It just gets everything moving and obviously you’re a bit dehydrated when you wake up in the morning.
“I’m diligent with my skin care every day, so I’ll wash my face, cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning. It really depends what I’ve got going on, if I’m going to work I’ll pop in the shower and go to work with wet hair. If I’m going out then I’ll go through my hair routine.”

The 43-year-old model has unveiled her 19-piece Spring/Summer 2017 collection with the French fashion house, and the catwalk icon’s designs are a tribute to the music legend – who tragically died in January 2016 – and his 1972 hit album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’.
The capsule features shirts and blouses with eyes embroidered on, which is a nod to the ‘Starman’ hitmaker – who was known for having two different coloured eyes due to the condition called anisocoria – and his iconic eye make-up that saw him have a colourful lightning bolt decorated on his face.

Jasmine Sanders contours her nose to give it a 'lift'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jasmine Sanders contours her nose to give it a “lift”.
The 25-year-old model – who is currently dating 34-year-old actor Terrence Jenkins – has admitted she applies a darker shade of powder on particular areas of her face, including the bridge of her nose, to give the illusion it is perkier than it truly is. Speaking about her beauty secrets in a video with Vogue.com, the brunette beauty said: “Hey guys I’m going to get ready to go to the beach.
“Today, we are going to use MAC [concealer], get the beauty blender wet.
“Quickly go through my brows [with a brush and Brow Pomade]
“To bring out the cheekbones, a little bit on the forehead and jaw line [I contour]. I feel like if you pinch the brush a little bit you don’t have a smaller brush you can use. I put a little bit here [across the bridge of my nose] will just lift your nose up the tiniest bit.
“Then I’m going to go in and use this [a highlighter]. And I like to put it here on my cheekbones, down my nose, on my cupid’s bow and a little on my chin.”
And the fashion muse – who is nicknamed the Golden Barbie on social media – has admitted she has a particular method to create the illusion of a fuller pout with just one single cosmetic product.
In the clip, which has since been shared to her Instagram account, Jasmine applied lip liner in a web on her lips.
She said: “If I want to make my lips look a little fuller. I go in here [centre of the bottom lip] and then I follow it putting a line [on her lower lip near the corner] and here [in the middle of the top lip, and as a triangle from the peaks of the top of the cupid bow to the middle] to [make my lips look wider]
“Then Banana Powder, BB Beauty Blender, this will allow your concealer to last a lot longer.”
Jasmine then finishes her beauty routine with a setting spray with glitter to add a “little dewy shine” to her bronzed complexion.
She said: “I’m going to use clear brow gel, then Mac spray. I always forget the name so I always go in and ask for the one with the glitter, a nice little dewy shine to it.”

Maria Grazia Chiuri's Christian Dior collection is inspired by daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Christian Dior collection was inspired by her daughter.
The fashion designer – who was announced as the creative director of the French fashion house in July last year – believes the creations under the prestigious brand are feminine and “steeped in the Fifties”, but she wants to take the label down a “more contemporary” path and looks to her child, Rachele, her friends and their lifestyle to help influence her collections.
Speaking about her muse to Vogue magazine, the creative mastermind – who also has son Nicolo with her partner Paolo Regini – said: “Of course our heritage is important, but I also want to move this house forward. My vision is something that is easier to wear. I want to think of women and how they dress, how they mix high and low, so you can have a Bar jacket but with jeans, a beautiful dress but with a leather jacket.
“Dior stands for femininity but the idea of that is still steeped in the Fifties. Femininity isn’t something that finished in the Fifties; it can be more contemporary. My reference is a modern woman and my role has to be to understand women of the future. I am not that, I’m the woman of now, and so I look at my daughter a lot; what she wears and what her friends wear, her lifestyle, and how she thinks.”
And the star – who worked alongside Pierpaolo Piccioli when she was at Valentino for 17 years before departing in 2016 – has admitted she was “born” to be an accessories designer because she is “obsessed” with the designs.
She said: “I was born an accessory designer, I love accessories. I obsess over them. I really obsess.”
However, Maria has admitted being at the helm of a fashion house and coming up with innovative designs for Fashion Week, is “very hard”.
Maria explained: “In any case, this job is very hard. You can do it alone or with two, three or 10 others, there’s not much difference. Yes, you can share a little bit but it doesn’t mean it’s easier. It doesn’t matter how many people there are, the game is the same and everyone has to work hard.”
