Jessica Alba: Honest Beauty enhances who you are

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba’s beauty “philosophy” is to use make-up to “enhance who you are”.
The 35-year-old actress – who co-founded her brand The Honest Company in 2012 – has revealed she was inspired to create her own label, which includes a cosmetics line, to ensure her customers don’t “cover up” their natural beauty but to show off their assets.
Speaking in a video with Glamour.com, the brunette beauty said: “Hi I’m Jessica Alba.
“My philosophy around Honest Beauty is instead of covering up who you are, it enhances who you are.”
And the star has admitted a nude and gold eye-liner pencil are her make-up essentials, because her all-time favourite beauty trend is a smoky eye.
She continued: “We are going to show you some of my favourite beauty products.
“I love a smoky eye, this is a great way to get a smoky eye.
“This is an eye opener, what I like about it is it’s the colour of flesh, so it’s not so stark.”
The ‘Into The Blue’ star – who has daughters Honor, eight, and Haven, five, with her husband Cash Warren – has advised people to double up your lipstick as a blusher for when you’re on the go.
Speaking about her beauty tips, she said: “Sometimes if you only have your lip with you and you have a little bit of a stronger colour, you can use that as a cheek to act as a cream blush.
“And usually if you don’t have a cheek, you only have your lip, you only have your fingers and you don’t have a brush.”
Although the star has admitted there are ways to still look beautiful with minimal cosmetics to hand, she has admitted she cannot apply mascara when she is in a rush after having a beauty mishap.
Speaking previously, she said: “I don’t always commit to a mascara, especially if I am in the car driving with the kids, because I have been known to poke my eye, and it is not fun.
“[But] I don’t like to spend more than 20 minutes. I am a 20-minute girl.”

Bella Hadid is the new face of DKNY S/S17 campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid is the new face of DKNY Spring/Summer 2017 campaign.
The 20-year-old model has been announced as the new face of the American fashion house, and will celebrate with a competition titled #FindBellaDKNY, which will see the brand hide posters of Bella in six areas around New York City and those who discover the clues will meet with the brunette beauty.
The catwalk icon announced the news of the contest on social media with a picture of her in front of a picture of herself from the campaign on a corrugated shutter.
She captioned the post, which was shared on her Instagram account: “To celebrate my new #DKNY Spring campaign.. Tomorrow, the images will be hidden in 6 spots around the city. Here is the first one on Eldridge and Houston! Follow @DKNY to discover the locations, & post a photo of all the places with #FindBellaDKNY for a chance to meet me in person + a full DKNY Spring 2017 wardrobe at the launch ‪on 2‬/1 !!! See u there! (sic).”
DKNY have shared the posters across the various sites on their Instagram account, which includes on the newsstand of a DKNY SoHo Store, a cupcake market, Akiko nails and Generation Records.
Meanwhile, the style muse has admitted she feels “so damn lucky” to be a model, and is “so grateful” to have had a successful year in 2016, which she has vowed will continue in 2017.
Bella – who made her debut appearance in this year’s annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last month – previously shared a video of her walking in a variety of catwalk shows throughout 2016 in a montage on social media.
She captioned the Instagram post: “I feel so grateful..thank you to every single person I have had the privilege of working with this year and everyone that believed in me and supported me along the way. i feel so damn lucky to call this my job and to work with such inspiring, talented people everyday..i will keep working hard I love you so so so so much! The 46-year-old actress was gifted a pair of faux fur pink Fenty x PUMA sliders by 28-year-old singer Rihanna – who is also the creative director of the sportswear giant – and the star has hinted her heeled shoes were so uncomfortable she wished she could have remained in the flat footwear, which she wore to travel in, to the star-studded event.

Speaking about her extravagant ensemble to E! News at the prestigious bash, which took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, she said: “I feel like a Barbie doll!”
The ‘Empire’ star has admitted her full length frock gave her some trouble on the red carpet an even though she knew she would have to hiss at some people to prevent them from treading on her dress, she still had to mentally prepare herself for the do.

OHMYGOSSIP — Evan Rachel Wood has vowed to wear a suit to every awards ceremony this year.
The ‘Westworld’ actress donned a blue velvet Altuzarra suit on the red carpet at the 2017 SAG Awards on Sunday (29.01.17) and admitted she is hoping to show people they shouldn’t feel they need to conform in a certain way in order to fit in.
She told E! News: “I’ve always wanted to do it. I promised myself this year that I would wear a suit to every award show.
“I dunno, a lot of it is personal. I think I myself felt pressure a lot of times that I had to look or dress a certain way, and especially growing up with the industry. So I thought, you know, I’m just gonna go the other way and reach out to a little girl who is like me, possibly. So that’s what I’m going for this year.
“It’s all about choice. Choice. Options.”
However, the 29-year-old star – who wore a black and white Altuzarra suit to the Golden Globes earlier this month – previously insisted she isn’t trying to “protest dresses” as she still loves the garment, but wants to show that there are always other options available.
She said at the Globes: “I’ve worn a dress every single time and I love dresses.
“I’m not trying to protest dresses but I wanted to make sure young girls and women know that it’s not a requirement.”
“You don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to,” the actress added. “Just be yourself because you’re worth more than that.”

Jennifer Lopez names footwear line after her family members

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez named her designs in the Giuseppe x Jennifer Lopez collection after her family.
The 47-year-old singer recently collaborated with 59-year-old fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti on a shoe collection, and has admitted her close relatives were the inspiration for the title of every creation in the line because she wanted to “honour” them.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her latest venture, which launched on Monday (23.01.17), the brunette beauty – who has eight-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian with her former partner Marc Anthony – said: “I just wanted to use all my family’s names. He’s [Giuseppe] like ‘We need names’ and I was like ‘Okay, I have a bunch of names!’ My family is my stability — they’re so solid for me — and when you think of shoes you think of being grounded. There was a connection there for me. So I took my cousin Tiana, my sister Leslie, Linda, Emme and everybody else and just decided I was gonna honour them with that.”
However, the ‘Shades of Blue’ actress has admitted she desperately wanted a specific garment to be named after her, but decided against it and gave it another title.
She explained: “Linda wrote me and was like ‘There’s a shoe named after me?!’ I said, ‘I wanted to name that one after me, but I named it after you!'”
And the ‘All I Have’ hitmaker has admitted she felt privileged working with the “skilled” entrepreneur because she has learnt a lot.
She explained: “With an artist like Giuseppe, who’s so skilled and it’s all about the detail, you learn so much. It was really a fun collaboration.
“My favourite part was just spending time together and being able to talk to somebody who does this about what they do was like an honour and a blessing and a good time.”

Fearne Cotton will open a pop-up store this year

OHMYGOSSIP — Fearne Cotton is set to launch a pop-up store.
The 35-year-old television presenter has admitted she is planning to set up a temporary store and sell a number of her possessions she has collated over the years when she has finished filming her 10-part series ‘Fearne on Fashion’.
Speaking about her upcoming plans in the third episode of the show, which has been published on Huffington Post website, the blonde beauty said: “The secret’s out. At the end of this series I’ll be opening my own fashion pop-up.”
And Fearne – who has 16-month-old daughter Honey and three-year-old son Rex with her husband Jesse Wood – has sought the advice from 56-year-old English retail consultant Mary Portas about her new store.
The ‘Mary Queen of Shops’ star has advised Fearne to let go of things she loves, and if she doesn’t even like the garment she shouldn’t sell it.
The flame-haired star said: “If you don’t love it don’t put it in.
“Fifteen years ago everybody was after status symbols, today it’s status stories. So they’ll come out and go, ‘I popped into Fearne’s shop and I bought this outfit…’ Little stories. It just makes people feel great about what they bought.”
And the launch of Fearne’s pop-up shop is set to feature in its own special episode.
Meanwhile, Fearne has described herself as a “bargain hawk”, and has credited herself as a “style binger” always on the look-out for great deals, a trait she has possessed ever since she was child and would rifle through Wembley markets for cheap items.
Speaking previously, she said: “Fashion gets me going. I’m a bargain hawk, a style binger, a fashion devourer.
“My childhood was spent scouring Wembley market for tops for £1 that I could match with my slightly dodgy Spice Girl platform trainers.

The 21-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has admitted her taste changes so often, one day she will be following a trend and the next day she will never want to see it ever again, and although the star has admitted she is “over” fabric chokers, she has admitted she is still in love with tight necklaces made from metal chains or precious gems.

One minute, I’ll be super into something and then next day I feel like I never want to see it again! I know, I was wearing fabric chokers all the time – and it’s not to say I don’t still love them – but I’m over them right now.
“Instead of fabric, I’m obsessed with chain or diamond chokers right now. Anything mixed materials is fun, too! I love layering them on and piling as much cool jewellery on as I can. It’s a fun statement without being too much.”
And the catwalk icon – who has modelled for recognised fashion houses including Victoria’s Secret, Givenchy and Balmain – has admitted her favourite fabric at the moment is fur.

The 20-year-old actress has admitted she has struggled to get her dark tresses back to a healthy condition, but believes after “however many years” of wearing wigs, avoiding heated tools such as straighteners and curlers, and dousing her locks with “every natural product in the world” she has “finally” seen signs her natural hair is growing back.
Alongside a picture of her sporting a curly head of hair as she posed for a mirror selfie, which was shared on her Instagram account, it read: “When you’ve spent the past however many years growing your damaged hair back, avoiding heat, wearing wigs and trying every natural product in the world and you finally see a little curl pattern comin back… #yeslawwwwd (sic).”
And the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ star has revealed she often wears false hair pieces, including hair extensions and full front-lace wigs, which she prefers because they give “full coverage”, look “natural”, and leave her looking “completely different”.
Speaking previously about her beauty choices, she said: “[Lace-front wigs] those are the best when it comes to full-coverage and looking natural. They can be applied with tape and/or glue. I wear them when I want a completely different look.”
And Zendaya has advised those who want to opt for a weave, when the hair is braided and the fake locks are stitched into the plait, should be regularly re-done, because she believes it is “disgusting” if it isn’t changed.
She said: “A weave is when you braid your hair up, you have a net over it and you weave the hair – the tracks – into the net that is sewn onto your head. You can have it up to a month and some change depending on how your hair grows and how you take care of it. You must get it re-done, it can’t stay on forever, that is disgusting.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid’s daily beauty regime is “a science”.
The 20-year-old model – who was named the face of Dior make-up in May 2016 – has admitted her mornings are “really hectic” and she has had to have a very strict but simple routine, which sees her rely on Dior’s cosmetic products including the Lip Sugar Scrub and Nude Air Luminizer because they “really help” when she’s pushed for time.
Speaking about her beauty tips in a video from ‘The Call Time’ web series, which has been shared on Bella’s Instagram account, she said: “Mornings are usually really hectic for me. But I build my beauty routine down to a science.
“The Lip Sugar Scrub makes my lips super soft. It’s made with real sugar so it’s like a little treat for my lips. And it melts into a balm and the sugar just disappears. No need to rinse. It also makes your lips look naturally pink.”
And the brunette beauty has admitted the luxury brand’s foundation is ideal for her busy schedule because it “airbrushes” her complexion and gives the “perfect coverage”.
She explained: “This [foundation] really helps when you’re in a rush. I can totally airbrush my complexion. I spray the brush like this and it creates the perfect coverage. Then I use the Nude Air Luminizer to make my skin glow, just on the high points of my face on top of the cheekbones, on the bridge of the nose, under the brow and on the forehead.”
Bella has revealed she finished her aesthetic with a slick of Lip Glow lipstick in their new berry hue because it is her “favourite” colour from the collection.

Kylie Jenner will open new pop-up shop in New York next month

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is set to open he Kylie Shop pop-up store in New York next month.
The 19-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star unveiled a temporary store for her clothing and accessories label, which was also stocked with Kylie Cosmetics beauty products, in Westfield Topanga Mall in California last year, and the star has admitted she will be opening another pop up in the American city in February.
The television personality announced the news on social media with a picture of her name, which was intersected with the site location, on her Instagram account.
She captioned the post: “Kylie Pop Up.. coming for you in February NYC @thekylieshop (sic).”
And the teen entrepreneur is set for a busy month, as she has recently announced she is launching a new cosmetics capsule for her make-up brand titled The Valentine’s Collection, which will be available to buy on her e-store on February 2.
The beauty mogul – who opened her beauty empire last year – has taken to social media to reveal the news.
Alongside an image of the lip kit package with red glitter lips emblazoned on the front, which the brunette beauty shared on her photo-sharing site, she wrote: “Just revealed The Valentines Collection on my Snapchat this is my favorite collection so far! Hope you guys LOVE IT launching February 2nd … 3pm pst @kyliecosmetics (sic).”
And Kylie Cosmetics have teased the upcoming capsule will include the rouge shade, but also a box set of four mini lip products.

Helen Mirren 'is wrong' to call for make-up free women

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Mirren “is absolutely wrong” to urge women to live make-up free, according to Charlotte Tilbury.
The British make-up artist has slammed the 71-year-old actress – who posed bare faced for this year’s Pirelli calendar – for advising women to ditch their cosmetic products in favour of going au naturel.
Charlotte – who boasts a large celebrity clientele including Kate Moss and Nicole Kidman – told the Mail Online: “I totally disagree with Helen. She’s absolutely wrong – completely wrong. Why would anyone, in a world where everyone is judged by their looks, not wear make-up?”
However, the flame-haired mogul – who launched her eponymous cosmetics brand in 2013 – has acknowledged “full on glamour” isn’t for everyone, although a more natural look, when beauty items are applied subtly, is better than having no coverage at all.
The entrepreneur explained: “I’m not saying do a full-on glamour look all the time: It can be very sophisticated and chic at the same time as being natural, like the Jennifer Aniston look.”
This news comes after Helen urged women to help make bare-faced look a “fashion” trend.
Speaking previously, she said: “I think it would be wonderful if it became a fashion. Things are always cyclical.”
Meanwhile, Helen – who is an ambassador for L’Oréal – has claimed women and men are often “excluded” from beauty and fashion campaigns as they get older.
The ‘Woman In Gold’ star said previously: “You don’t lose interest as a woman – or maybe as a man – we don’t lose interest in these things as we get older, all we do is we get more knowledge about them.
“We get more knowledge about what’s good for you, what’s bad for you, what works for you, what doesn’t work for you and so I don’t see why as an older person you should be excluded from the fun of all of that.”

The 47-year-old singer – who has recently collaborated with fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti on a footwear line titled Giuseppe x Jennifer Lopez – has admitted she is very particular with her footwear choices and has admitted she will never be caught wearing an army-style boot or robust shoe because she isn’t a fan of “heavy” footwear and prefers more feminine items that “sparkle”.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk about her style preferences, the brunette beauty said: “I’m not a big fan of chunky heels or any shoes that feel and look heavy. I love sleek, refined, and feminine, with a bit of sparkle.”
And the ‘Shades of Blue’ actress has admitted her favourite design from her 16-piece shoe line, which launched on Monday (23.01.17), “changes daily”, as she loved the “sexy and modern” pink python creations, as well as gladiator heeled sandals.
The ‘I’m Real’ hitmaker explained: “These shoes can make any woman feel fierce, confident and sexy. My favourite pair changes almost daily, but today I’m obsessing over the Emme High. It’s no secret I love animal prints and this pink python is sexy and modern. Melania Trump's Inauguration dress designer praises her fashion judgment

OHMYGOSSIP — Melania Trump’s Inauguration dress designer has praised her for her fashion acumen.
Hervé Pierre was hired to create the new US First Lady’s cream silk gown for the glitzy after-party bash following her husband Donald Trump’s admission into office and revealed she was closely involved with every step of the design process.
The designer – who is also Melania’s personal stylist – admitted he amended the design when the brunette beauty said to him during one fitting: “Hervé, I love you, but I cannot move my arm to hold my husband’s arm when we dance.”
He added: “She knows fashion – she was a model and has worked in a design studio – so she knows about construction. When I brought her fabric swatches, she immediately picked the heaviest, most beautiful six-ply silk from Italy. She knows about fabrics. It was a very organic conversation because we have the same vocabulary.
And the 46-year-old model was keen to appear “presidential” and not simply fashionable.
He said: “She was very specific about the neckline, about all the lines being parallel. It was important for us not to follow any recipe for a ‘First Lady gown’. She’s presidential now; she’s not just a fashion plate.”
Many designers publicly refused to dress Melania because of her husband’s controversial policies but Hervé insisted he felt “honored” to be asked.
He told Harper’s Bazar: “That’s the good thing about this country: we are all equal, but we are definitely not the same. I’m not doing politics, I’m doing dresses. We are not suddenly brokering a big deal between China and Russia. If people don’t want to dress her, I think it’s sad, but I was honored. I don’t criticize these people–it’s their choice, and that’s the beauty of democracy.”
And the designer predicted Melania’s fashion will continue to be “straight to the point” throughout her husband’s presidency.
He added:”Her next four years as First Lady are going to be, like this gown, straight to the point, perhaps with a single measured detail.”

Sofia Richie's style is 'punky yet put together'

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Richie has described her style as “punky” but “put together”.
The 18-year-old model – who is the daughter of ‘Hello’ hitmaker Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diana – has admitted her fashion sense is a mixture between gothic rock and sophisticated glamour, which she has claimed is due to her inner “rebel”.
Speaking about her style preferences to Vogue.com, the blonde beauty said: “I’d say I’m a little punky yet a bit put-together all at the same time. It’s the rebel in me.”
Sofia – who is the new face of the denim brand DL1961 – has admitted she loves the variety of jeans the fashion house have designed, especially the high-rise Goldie fit because they are unique and “really comfortable”.
Speaking about the creations, she said: “I haven’t come across any like it and they’re really comfortable.”
The catwalk icon – who has recently modelled in Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Art show, which took place in Paris, France, last month – has admitted she loves being social media savvy because she wants to inspire people to be more creative with their outfit choices.
Speaking about her uploads, she said: “I enjoy posting what I like, obviously, and getting positive feedback is always great. I love how sometimes that leads to helping someone who was stuck creatively with an outfit choice.”
However, Sofia doesn’t receive fashion tips from her half-sister Nicole Richie – who was legally adopted by Lionel when she was nine years old – because the 35-year-old fashion designer believes they have “different styles”.
Speaking previously, the former ‘The Simple Life’ star said: “I’m very particular about my clothes. We have different styles.
“I don’t know if I’ve given her any [style advice].”

Kylie Jenner reveals new The Valentine's Collection for Kylie Cosmetics

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner is set to launch The Valentine’s Collection to Kylie Cosmetics next week.
The 19-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star – who opened her beauty empire last year -has continued to expand her make-up brand and has taken to social media to reveal the new products she will be launching on her e-store on February 2, just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 14.
Alongside an image of the lip kit package with red glitter lips emblazoned on the front, which the brunette beauty shared on her Instagram account, she wrote: “Just revealed The Valentines Collection on my Snapchat this is my favorite collection so far! Hope you guys LOVE IT launching February 2nd … 3pm pst @kyliecosmetics (sic).”
The cosmetics company has also broadcasted the news on their photo-sharing site.
Alongside the same image, they wrote: ” THE VALENTINES COLLECTION … coming FEBRUARY 2nd .. 3pm pst.(sic).”
And Kylie Cosmetics have teased the upcoming capsule will include the rouge shade, but also a box set of four mini lip products.
They captioned an upload of the forthcoming items: “Red Minis?! Yes Please … #ValentinesCollection #February2nd (sic).”
The teen entrepreneur’s line will see the addition of new matte lip products in shades Apricot, High Maintenance and Head Over Heels, Kiss Me and SweetHeart mini make-up sets that feature the new shades and existing liquid lipsticks Posie K, Mary Jo K and Maliboo.
Kylie will also launch a glitter eyeshadow palette, matte eye powders, a mirror and her first ever blusher, which will have small love hearts and engraved in the products.
And Kylie – who is currently dating ‘Rack City’ rapper Tyga, who has four-year-old son King Cairo with his former partner Blac Chyna – has admitted she is “so happy” her fans “love” the look of her new creations.
She tweeted: “Makes me so happy you guys love the Valentines Collection (sic).”
