Clive Owen: 'I like to keep my style quiet'

OHMYGOSSIP — Clive Owen likes to keep his style “quiet”.
The 52-year-old actor finds it “difficult” to wear outfits that are “too loud” or “too colourful” and will often choose to wear monochrome garments as often as he can, and will often try to “tone” down his ensemble if he thinks it is too outrageous.
Speaking about his wardrobe preferences to the Metro newspaper, the dark-haired hunk said: “I find it difficult wearing anything too loud, too colourful. I like to tone things down and keep my style quiet, especially when I’m out and about. As a general rule, I try to stick to blacks and whites wherever I can.”
And Clive – who has daughters Hannah and Eve with his wife Sarah-Jane – has admitted his favourite place in the world is one of Europe’s fashion capitals Paris, France, because he believes it is the “most magical city on the planet”.
He explained: “It sounds like a cliché but Paris really s the most magical city on the planet. The first place Ernest Hemingway and his wife stayed when they moved to the city in 1921 is still there and it’s fantastic – the Hotel d’Angleterre. If you’re lucky, you can even stay in their room, No. 14, which is a real treat.”
Meanwhile the ‘Children Of Men’ star, who played the role of Theo Faron in the movie, has revealed the 2006 production was a “gruelling shoot” and “hard” to film.
He said: “‘Children Of Men’ was a gruelling shoot. Every location was bleak and hard to film in but that was the movie we were making.”
However, Clive has hinted filming the fantasy film was his “most enjoyable” experience.
He explained: “It’s weird because the hardest work is often the most enjoyable.”

Elton John gets his personalised Nikes

The ‘Rocket Man’ singer now owns a unique pair of shoes called Air Forces 1 Jet made by the iconic sports brand after they decided to honour the 69-year-old star for his “commitment to diversity and inclusion, and his long-standing relationship with Nike”.

Elton received them as a gift last weekend when he visited the company’s head quarters in Eugene, Oregon in the US.

He joined forces with the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker’s sister Natali Germanotta and fashion designer Brandon Maxwell on a limited edition clothing and accessories line called Love Bravery for the American department store Macy’s.
Speaking previously about their collaboration, the ‘Blue Wonderful’ previously said: “I love the idea of fusing who you are on the inside – your passions and dreams – with what you wear on the outside.
“Love Bravery is about the compassion on the inside to understand someone’s fears, and the bravery on the outside to stand up for them, and for yourself: to accept others for who they are and to be who you want to be. It’s what I’ve tried to do in my life, my career and with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and it’s a passion Lady Gaga and I share. So I’m thrilled we are collaborating on this project and delighted Macy’s understood our dream to connect with people this way.”

Eva Mendes works out 'five days a week' in the summer

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Mendes works out “five days a week” when she wants to get in shape for the summer.
The 43-year-old actress – who has daughters Esmeralda, two, and 10-month-old Amada with her partner Ryan Gosling – has ditched her 45-minute “steady cardio” sessions for interval training and will work out almost every day in preparation for an event or for the warmer months, although she will reduce her fitness regime down to three days during her “off-season” period.
Speaking about her exercise plan, the brunette beauty said: “I love doing intervals, like running and sprinting, and I see great results with that versus the 30 or 45 minutes of steady cardio I used to do on the treadmill.
“Between intervals, I lift weights. I’m off-season right now, so I work out three days a week. But when I’m getting ready for an event or in the summer, it’s five days a week. I don’t exercise more than that though, because I see better results when my body has a rest period.”
And the ‘Hitch’ actress will always have eggs for breakfast, and will eat the same meal for her lunch and dinner because she is a “creature of habit”.
She explained: “I usually start my day with eggs. I think they’re like magic – you can do so much with them. I mostly keep it simple and have scrambled eggs and a piece of Ezekiel toast for breakfast. For lunch, I usually have salmon and rice or quinoa, and I try to include a salad. I’ll eat the same thing for dinner. I’m a creature of habit in that way. I don’t get bored with food. I try to think about it as fuel for my body.”
However, Eva has admitted her sweet tooth is her Achilles heel, although she is “constantly” trying to combat her cravings for tasty treats.
She told Shape magazine: “Sweets are my thing. It’s ongoing, and I have to manage my sugar cravings constantly. I’ve gotten used to having something sweet after every meal, so I’m always bartering with myself: No, no, I can’t have that after dinner, but maybe I can have it after lunch instead. The kid in me thinks, I work out, so I can support my sugar habit. I know that’s not a very wise thing to say, but I really do feel like I’m working it off.”

“I love to prep my skin especially when it’s dry and flaky, with the Braun facial spa, and because it’s so tiny it’s easy to travel with. And I’ll just cleanse and I get a nice smooth finish.
“Next I like to use the Joanna Vargas eye mask these are the Bright Eye Firming mask. These are so fantastic because they’re so compact and they’re this jelly texture, and they’re very hydrating and they feel really cooling good underneath the eyes. You leave it on for 10 minutes, and it really penetrates and takes down the appearance of crow’s feet and makes me feel more bright and awake.”
And the ‘Into The Blue’ star – who has daughters Honor, eight, and Haven, five, with her husband Cash Warren – loves using the Nurse Jamie Instant Uplift, especially under her chin, because she feels like her face is getting a “little work out”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Fearne Cotton is still embarrassed by her “horrific” make-up when she was younger.
The 35-year-old television and radio presenter is mortified when she remembers the 10-year spectrum between her teenage years and twenties when she wore “really unnatural” looking foundation, which saw her face covered in the cosmetic product whilst her neck was left pale.
Speaking in a clip as part of bareMinerals Bare Truth campaign, which was shared on her Instagram account, the golden-haired star – who has joined forces with the beauty brand for their Complexion Rescue range – said: “Any picture of me aged 24 to 14, my make-up is horrific, my foundation was really unnatural, the pale neck. It was all shades of wrong.
“The more make-up you put on and the more you over exaggerate your features it actually drags you down and makes you look older.”
And the fashion and beauty muse has admitted she used to feel a lot of pressure to dress well but as started “embracing” a more natural aesthetic.
The former ‘Top of the Pops’ host explained: “I used to be [pressure] but now I’m embracing it all.”

Channing Tatum always wanted Jenna Dewan Tatum to have short hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum wanted wife Jenna Dewan Tatum to cut her hair short for a “really long time”.
The 36-year-old American actress has credited her 36-year-old partner for encouraging her to chop her brunette tresses, and he was “excited” when she took the plunge to hack off her locks because he had told her to change her hairstyle for a while.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her new do, and the ‘Magic Mike’ actor’s input, she said: “He wanted me to go short for a really long time. He’s the opposite of most men — most men like long hair, but he thought it would be a really good idea to go short. So he was excited. He was like, ‘You finally did it!'”
And the ‘Step Up’ star – who met the American hunk whilst filming the 2006 film – always requests for her hair to be cut in a way it doesn’t need much maintenance, as she will not style her hair unless she has an important event to attend.
Jenna – who has three-year-old daughter Everly – explained: “I still to this day haven’t actually done my hair, unless I have some sort of event or meeting. I tell everyone who cuts my hair, ‘You need to cut it in a way that I can shower and go because I will not do myself, I don’t have time.’ So it just works. It’s a lot easier to manage and it’s much more free for me.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty – who is the ambassador of athleisure wear brand Danskin – regularly wears leggings “all the time” and will style them in a variety of ways.
She said: “I wear leggings out all the time.
“I wear then with boots or heels and usually style them with a chunky duster sweater and T-Shirt. I think that’s completely an outfit.”

Jourdan Dunn's Missguided collection was designed to suit all body shapes

OHMYGOSSIP — Jourdan Dunn designed her LonDunn + Missguided by Jourdan Dunn collection to suit “all types” of women.
The 26-year-old model has collaborated with the popular high street brand on a new line and the star was adamant her designs would make everyone “feel comfortable” in her creations, although it meant she “played around” with the fabrics she used.
Speaking about her capsule, the entrepreneur – who has seven-year-old son Riley – said: “I want people who are 5 feet 5 inches and skinny, or 5 feet 5 inches and curvy, or 5 feet 10 inches – all types of women – to feel comfortable in it and feel good. So, once I got the mindset of how I wanted it to be, I had to then think, ‘Ok, maybe that fabric might not be too complementary to this kind of woman or that kind of woman’. We played around.”
Jourdan has hinted she is selective with what projects she takes on and launched a childrenswear collection with Marks and Spencer last year, named Lil’ LonDunn, because as a mother she felt it was “authentic”.
She said: “I’m not just going to put my name to something random. With the kids’ line it was authentic because I have a child, and with Missguided, I want to be able to dress women.”
The catwalk icon has admitted she doesn’t like the term “real woman” because she believes every female is “very much real” regardless if you are a model or not.
She explained: “One thing. I don’t really like the term ‘real women’. When you compare ‘real women’ to models, it’s like they are not real, and it’s like, what do you mean? I live on earth. I have breasts, I have a vagina, I am very much real.
“I’m real and even ‘someone like me’ has stretch marks.”
And the fashion muse even struggled to find clothes to fit her long limbs when she was younger.
Speaking about her battle with garments to Glamour magazine, she said: “The struggle was real when I was growing up. I was like, I need sleeves that are long enough.”
Jourdan Dunn’s LonDunn + Missguided by Jourdan Dunn collection is available to buy on Saturday (11.03.17).

Pam Hogg works '18 hour days'

OHMYGOSSIP — Pam Hogg works “18 hour days”.
The British fashion designer – who launched her debut fashion collection in 1981 and is known for her eccentric garments – will create garments based on how she is feeling that day, and she will “lock myself away” for hours on end to complete the piece from start to finish on her own.
Speaking to Fearne Cotton as part of her video series with The Huffington Post UK titled ‘Fearne on Fashion’, the blonde star said: “There were different connotations when I was younger. The word vulgar meant really distasteful.
“As time has gone on I just thought, this is great because actually it’s an unorthodox way of thinking and that’s exactly the way I work. It’s embracing the differences and not the normal acceptance of what is beautiful.
“I just do whatever I feel. When I research it’s in my head, things just pour out.
“I do, I make every piece myself, so I go into my own little zone, and I lock myself away in my studio, sometimes doing 18 hours days just working non-stop.”
And the creative mastermind will find herself pattern cutting on the floor during her intense and chaotic sessions.
She said: “I work on the floor a lot s well. I work in chaos. Nothing is very organised.”
And Fearne – who has four-year-old son Rex and 17-month-old daughter Honey with her husband Jesse Wood – has described Pam as a “legendary fashion pioneer and rock star”.
Speaking in the video, the video personality said: “What do you get when you cross ‘Fearne on Fashion’, a designer with cult status who totally ignores the main stream, and a naked catsuit, well you’re about to find out as we start a fashion revolution against the trend.
“Legendary fashion pioneer and rock star Pam Hogg Is famed for her daring, unorthodox and statement designs.”

Kate Moss launched Kate Moss Agency as it was the 'natural thing' to do

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss set up the Kate Moss Agency because it was the “natural thing” for her to do.
The 43-year-old supermodel – who was scouted at the age of 14 years old and has boasted a career spanning almost three decades – founded her own modelling company last year, after she quit Storm Models in April, so she could take “responsibility” for her choices as a model, her reputation, and to enable her to protect budding models from feeling “insecure” about themselves in the industry.
Speaking about her latest venture in the April issue of British Vogue, which the golden haired beauty features on the cover of, she said: “So, as I get older, it seemed like the natural thing to do was to take responsibility for my choices both as a model and with the branding I put my name to.
“I don’t want a young girl to feel bad if she has to wait around. I was that person with Steven Meisel, even though I was the face of CK at the time. I had to sit around for days. It can be really hard. I’m maternal; I don’t want the girls to feel insecure.”
Although the catwalk icon – who has 14-year-old daughter Lila with her former partner Jefferson Hack – is “prepared” to pose in skimpy ensembles for photoshoots because that may be the brief she was given, she is determined to protect aspiring stars under her label from those extreme situations.
She explained: “As a model I am prepared to stand in a bikini at the end of an ice glacier when it’s minus 30, because that is what the client has booked me to do and that’s the job.”
The fashion muse has admitted she isn’t bothered by the attention her celebrity status receives.
Speaking about the public attention, she said: “Actually, it doesn’t particularly bother me. One guy sits outside the house. He comes to the country, too. Once he brought his kids and they spent the weekend sitting in the car.”

Emma Watson always wears red lipstick to an 'important' event

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson will always wear red lipstick if she attends “something important”.
The 26-year-old actress prefers to have a more natural beauty look and will not wear too many cosmetic products because she wants to show off her freckled skin, although if she is due to attend star-studded events she will opt for a “clean eye” and a rouge matte lip.
Speaking to Into The Gloss about her style preferences, the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ star said: “If I’m doing my make-up myself, I do quite a clean eye and a matte red lip. The red lip always comes out if something important is happening. I did it on graduation day, and I did it for the Women’s March.
“I’m not someone who has a tonne of pink in her skin, so I get washed out without a bit of colour added to my face. It makes me look healthy and less exhausted.”
However, Emma struggles to find products to suit her complexion.
She said: “Finding a good, natural eyeliner took me like, six months, but I found one. Jane Iredale does an amazing liquid eyeliner and she has one in a dark brown, which I prefer to black on my skin tone. It’s hard to find a bronzer that’s a good colour and not glittery.
“The object for me when applying make-up is you should be able to see as much skin as possible. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve embraced my freckles much more and I want to be able to see them.
“I think the look of natural skin is beautiful.”
And the star’s fascination with cosmetics started at an early age, as she would regularly rummage through beauty experts make-up bags whilst on a film set.
She explained: “There’s something about looking into someone else’s make-up bag – it’s such an intimate glimpse into their personality somehow. When I was a kid and working on ‘Harry Potter’, I would always ask the make-up artists, or just anyone, ‘Can I see your make-up bag?’ I loved exploring that way.
“And my other favourite thing was, while I was having my hair and make-up done, to clean and organize people’s make-up bags. So I would sit there and clean every product and put it all back together again. Anyway, it’s been a passion of mine for a long time.”
But the one cosmetics item Emma rarely relies on it nail polish, as she doesn’t think it is “useful” for her to wear in her daily life.
She explained: “Weirdly, I often don’t wear nail polish on my hands in my day-to-day life. It doesn’t seem like a useful way to spend my time when it will be destroyed within minutes. But I love, love, love having my toenails crazy colours.”

Priyanka Chopra couldn't eat in her 2017 Oscars dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra struggled to “ingest anything except liquid” at the 2017 Oscars because of her tight dress.
The 34-year-old actress was told she could attend the star studded bash last month just two days before the ceremony, and although the star wanted to have “fun” with her style at the 89th Academy Awards the couture Ralph and Russo gown she adorned, which was “stitched on” to her and had “no movement”, made it difficult for her to really let loose and indulge in the tasty treats for the evening.
Speaking about her ensemble for the star studded bash to the Metro newspaper, the brunette beauty said: “I was only cleared by ‘Quantico’ production to go to the Oscars on the Friday, so I had two days to figure out a dress. Ralph and Russo brought a beautiful piece of couture to me. I wanted to have a bit of fun on the red carpet and for it to be different to the fairy-tale dress I wore last year, so I’m glad people found it as entertaining as I did. It was absolutely stitched on to me – there was no movement, so it was really hard to ingest anything except liquid courage! It was nice to get out of it and eat a burger.”
And the ‘Baywatch’ star has revealed she received a number of “funny comments” about her outfit, which was likened to a chessboard.
She explained: “I had some funny comments – like it could be used as a tray pr a chessboard.”
Meanwhile, Priyanka has revealed she has “never” planned her career, although the only goal she has is to “leave a legacy”.
Speaking about her future, she said: “I’ve actually never planned my career. The only thing on my bucket list is to leave a legacy and a footprint of my work. I just want to be known for that. I’m just taking all of it in and seeing how many people I can work with.”

Rihanna's A/W 17 Fenty x Puma collection is her favourite fashion range of all time

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has “never” been more in love with a fashion range than she is with her new Fenty x Puma collection.
The 29-year-old singer – who was announced as the creative director of sportswear giant in 2014 – showcased her Autumn/Winter 2017 line for the fashion house on Monday (06.03.17) in Paris, France, and the entrepreneur believes her latest designs are her most favourite creations to date.
The ‘Work’ hitmaker shared a video of yesterday’s event, which was a montage of behind-the-scenes footage as well as snippets of the catwalk show, on her Instagram account.
Speaking in the clip, the brunette beauty said: “I have never been in love with a collection more than this one.”
The fashion mogul has included a mix of “exaggerated pieces”, garments with “a lot of colour” and simplistic items of clothing in her capsule, which is her “favourite” thing to do when designing.
She explained: “It’s a lot of simple things and then a lot of colour, more exaggerated pieces that combine really well together. And that’s my favourite thing to do.”
Rihanna captioned the video: “BTS. Counting down the minutes until my #FENTYXPUMA AW17 fashion show! #PaRIH @puma (sic).”
And the Barbados-born star has been credited as a “fearless leader”.
Alongside a picture of Rihanna strutting on the runway after her presentation, which was shared on the Fenty x Puma photo-sharing site, it read: “Fearless leader. #FENTYXPUMA AW17
#ParisFashionWeek (sic).”
Although the brand teased the collection ahead of the showcase during Paris Fashion Week with close up images of the detailing on the products, Rihanna also opted to live stream the fashion show on social media, which was an idea she had been contemplating ahead of the exhibition.
Speaking previously, she wrote: “Prep. #FENTYXPUMA #AW17 might go live for my first time tonight so y’all can see what me and the @Puma squad really up to out here in PaRIH. #BTS #PFW (sic).”
