Anthony Joshua, Jourdan Dunn among investors in Nala’s Baby

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony Joshua, Jourdan Dunn and Yung Filly are among a host of stars to invest in Nala’s Baby.
The naturally clean baby skincare range was founded by rapper Krept and influencer Sasha Ellese Gilbert during lockdown in 2020 as they sought to find a solution to treat their baby daughter’s eczema in their kitchen at home, and they gradually expanded to create everyday products free from potentially harmful ingredients, launching in Boots in June 2022.
And now, a host of new investors have been unveiled that also include Krept’s musical partner Konan, Yung Filly, K-Trap, Posty (GRM), and Nafe Smallz.
The news comes as the brand – which features 97-99% naturally-derived ingredients and products that are dermatologically approved, paediatrician approved, cruelty free, vegan, tear free, fully recyclable and made in Britain – expands into Tesco, Morrisons and Ocado across the UK.
Casyo ‘Krept’ Johnson, said: “We’re thrilled to now be stocked in Tesco and other major retailers, continuing on our mission to bring Nala’s Baby and our clean skincare ethos to households nationwide, making the range accessible for all families.
“We’re particularly excited to announce the new launch of our Vanilla Cloud Body Butter, bringing a well-loved scent to one of our best-selling products, now available at Tesco.”
Meanwhile, sportsman Anthony added: “It’s important that we are careful about what we put on our body. Nala’s Baby is the best out there, so I wanted to get involved and help take this product to the masses.”
Yung Filly insisted the products aren’t just for babies and he’s looking forward to using them himself.
He said: “Best believe I’m going to start using this crème. I thought it was just for babies but Krept showed me, that this is what he uses on a daily.”

Cate Blanchett’s sustainable BAFTA outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett’s custom Louis Vuitton BAFTAs look was made using deadstock.
The ‘Tar’ actress walked the red carpet at the EE British Academy of Film Awards in London on Sunday (18.02.24) in a high-necked crepe-jersey claret dress teamed with a gem-encrusted choker that unfurled into a two-strand body chain of Tahitan pearls, and there was a strong message of sustainability in the creation.
Nicolas Ghesquiere used the fashion house’s existing stock to create the gown, which took 150 hours, while Francesca Amfitheatrof, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of watches and jewellery, rearranged gems from older collections – including pearls previously worn by Cate to last year’s BAFTAs – in a process described as “creative circularity”.
Cate told Vogue magazine: “Deadstock is not a sexy word.
“But Nicolas used it to make a strong, sexy dress, and Francesca has brought her artistry to the fore yet again to rearrange and redesign a spectacular piece of body jewellery.
“I’m in awe of them both and relish collaborating with them at Louis Vuitton.”
The 54-year-old actress enjoys finding “creative ways” to be more sustainable with her red carpet wear.
She added: “I love the next, the new, but I also relish the opportunity to rework, reflect, and bring the best of the past into the present.
“There are no single fixes to tackling anthropogenic climate change, but finding creative ways to tackle [the culture of] excess in the fashion industry, and the pressures it places on our climate, is imperative.”
Francesca worked closely with Cate and her stylist Elizabeth Stewart for the unique piece of jewellery and took inspiration from the actress and her work.
She said: “It is not simply Cate’s personal style but her creative output that is so inspiring.
“She has personified so many incredible characters that it inspires me to lean on history and drama, allowing emotion to be expressed through the designs. We share a mutual and very sincere belief in the message of these designs—there is a lot of love behind this project. It is not a ‘collaboration,’ it is a privilege.”

Rosamund Pike wanted to wear female designer

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosamund Pike felt it was “important” to wear a female designer to the BAFTA Awards.
The ‘Saltburn’ actress attended the event at London’s Festival Hall on Sunday (18.02.24) wearing a blue pleated silk chiffon midi dress with exposed corsetry by Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri and she loves how the creative director understands the female form.
She told Vogue.com: “Wearing something from a house with a female designer at the helm feels important and connected.
“Maria Grazia Chiuri understands not just how a woman wants to look, but how she wants to feel, and her designs have an understanding of the female body and incorporate both structure and fluidity—two elements that make me feel confident and free.”
The 45-year-old actress had had her eye on the gown for some time.
She admitted: “I’ve been hoping to wear this dress since I saw it as part of a capsule couture collection on the shores of Lake Como.
“I was lucky enough to attend the haute joallerie show, designed by Victoire de Castellane, where Maria Grazia Chiuri designed a unique collection of dresses for this special event.”
Rosamund has embraced awards season as a “proper party – something actually fun”.
She said: “To me, any event is about all five senses.
““It’s not just about what you see, but also what you hear: a brilliant playlist of music, what you taste: usually a glass of bubbly, and what you smell: even fragrance. And then have time for a laugh and a dance before you go out the door. Take it seriously, but allow time for play.”

Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez and more set to co-chair 2024 Met Gala

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth will join Vogue’s Anna Wintour as the co-chairs of the 2024 Met Gala.
The star-studded line-up was confirmed by the fashion bible on Thursday (15.02.24).
Anna texted them all: “Hello, Are you all free Monday, May 6th?”
‘Dune: Part Two’ star Zendaya replied: “Of course.”
Latin star Bad Bunny wrote: “Anna! Sí.”
‘Marry Me’ star Jennifer Lopez responded: “Wouldn’t miss supporting the museum.”
And the Marvel star cheekily replied: “Checking schedule now. I can free up that day,” along with a winking emoji.
The dress code for the charity fashion bash, which takes place on May 6, is ‘The Garden of Time’, a nod to the Met’s ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ spring exhibition, boasting around 250 items from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection.
The designs are by Schiaparelli, Dior, Givenchy, and more.
One piece, the Charles Frederick Worth ballgown from 1877, will be shown off via video animation, light projection, AI, and CGI.
The exhibition will be shaped by the zones Land, Sea, and Sky.
Max Hollein, the Met’s Marina Kellen French director and CEO, told Vogue: “This innovative show will push the boundaries of our imagination and invite us to experience many facets of a work, to learn more about its history, and, ultimately, to gain a deeper appreciation of its beauty.”
The Met is getting high-tech by using a glass illusion technique to reflect a ghostly figure onstage.
As well as AI and animation, CGI will be used to “weave a contextual fabric of understanding around each piece.”
Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, said: “Fashion is one of the most emotional artistic forms because of its connection to the body.
“It is imbued with memory and emotions, and we relate to it very much via our senses. One thing I hope this show will activate is that sensorial appreciation of fashion.”
The annual gala takes place at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday in May.
Last year’s theme was ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ in memory of the late designer.

Johnny Depp named Britain’s ultimate glasses wearer in Specsavers poll

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp has been named Britain’s ultimate “eye-con” in a poll by Specsavers.
The 60-year-old Hollywood star has relied heavily on prescription glasses for several years now and in a search to find the UK’s ultimate Fashion Eye-Con held by high street optometrist chain Specsavers, he came out on top for the way he has sported eyewear over the years.
Speaking about the research the brand commissioned ahead of London Fashion Week, Bianca Swan, Style Editor at Specsavers, said: “Everyone on this list is an icon in their own right – but their image has no doubt been enhanced because of their glasses. Eyewear isn’t just an accessory, it’s a statement that allows individuals to showcase their own unique personality and style.
“It’s always great to see celebrities embracing glasses as part of their personal style and making glasses a popular fashion accessory.
“The connection between these icons and their glasses shows there’s been a shift in how people see eyewear. In a world where experimenting with self-expression can help us feel empowered, the purpose of glasses have become much more than to help us see better – they’re a celebration of style and individuality”
The survey also found that 54 percent of Brits now believe it is trendy to wear glasses – with almost two thirds (62 percent) saying wearing them can make a person look more stylish – and a quarter of Brits who wear non-prescription glasses do so because they want to make a fashion statement.
What’s more, more than half of Brits (56 percent) think society’s general perception of people wearing glasses has become more positive over the last 10 years and 86 per cent of those surveyed believe that everyone should feel confident in wearing glasses, no matter what the occasion.
Other A-Listers to make the results of the survey – which was conducted amongst 2,000 Brits – were former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, ‘Pokerface’ singer Lady Gaga, legendary designer Vivienne Westwood and ‘Happy’ singer Pharrell Williams.
Swan added: “Looking at these fashion icons, it’s clear that glasses aren’t just practical; they’re a key part of personal style and making a statement about who you are. Certain styles aren’t just memorable because they’re big and bold. Take Anna Wintour for example, her frames are classic, but memorable as they have become part of her iconic image and are instantly recognisable. It’s important to remember that whatever glasses you do wear it’s a personal choice to you. As long as you feel comfortable and confident, that’s all that matters.”

Jennifer Lopez didn’t wear movie dress for her wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez didn’t wear a movie dress for her wedding to Ben Affleck.
The 54-year-old singer/actress tied the knot with her longtime love in Las Vegas in July 2022 before hosting a second ceremony in Georgia the following month, and fans have long speculated Jennifer wore a dress from her 2004 film ‘Jersey Girl’ when she exchanged vows with Ben in Sin City after she wrote in a fan newsletter that she walked down the aisle in a “dress from an old movie”.
However, Jennifer has now explained she had a house full of wedding dresses because of her film projects, but the gown she chose was never featured onscreen.
She told Variety: “No, that’s not true [about the ‘Jersey Girl’ dress]. I wish it was. I wish I did have that dress. I don’t have that dress. No, this was a different dress that I had”
She added: “Believe it or not, I was doing so much press for ‘Marry Me’ or ‘Shotgun Wedding’ or one of those, so I had all these wedding dresses in my house.
“And when we at the square of the moment decided to get married that day, I just had a dress. It’s not from a movie. I never wore it in a movie.”
Jennifer previously opened up about the wedding in her On The JLo newsletter, writing: “So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.
“They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.”

Barbie cast were given bespoke facials

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Barbie’ caast were given bespoke facials to keep their skin looking perfectly doll-like while they were filming.
Stars including Margot Robbie were treated to Vico Elevate treatments by facial aesthetician Jasmina Vico which use massage and microcurrents to give a glistening and lifted complexion.
Vico told POPSUGAR: “It was designed with a focus on sculpting and toning the face. One key part of this technique is my signature lymphatic drainage technique to get rid of excess fluid, detox the lymph, and oxygenate the skin. It’s particularly great for any clients that have been travelling.”
She created bespoke treatments for the stars of ‘Barbie’ but they all used her signature techniques including electro-muscle stimulation and radiofrequency skin tightening.
Vico added of this important step: “The combination lifts the facial muscles and defines the cheek and jawline.”
It’s finished with an application of Vico Skin Screen Star Serum, which retails for £105.
The facials last around 40 minutes and cost £225 per session, and Vico recommends six treatments to see the full effect.
While the facials will have helped, Margot was also very disciplined about her eating regime during filming to make sure she looked her best. The actress is said to have munched on sauerkraut and sipped organic milk thistle tea to help her skin.
Vico told Harper’s Bazaar: “Margot was also eating fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, and kefir, all kinds of bitter foods, and berries.
“[It helps wit] promoting the healing and reducing the stress in the body.
“[Organic milk thistle tea] … helps with flushing the liver which makes the skin better because it produces more glutathione which helps with luminosity and brightness. They [the Barbies] were all having that tea.”

Meghan Trainor loves taking her makeup off at night: I’m washing the stress away!’

The 30-year-old pop star – who is married to ‘Spy Kids’ actor Daryl Sabara and has Riley, three, and seven-month-old Barry with him – likes to think that when she gets in the shower at night, she is “washing the stress off” from a busy day as she sets about her heavy moisturizing routine.
She told InStyle: “It’s the best thing in the world. I love getting clean. My therapist says it’s me washing the day off or washing the stress off. It’s why I shower every night. But I double cleanse, I make sure my makeup is off and fully off, and then I moisturize with multiple moisturizers. And then when I get into bed, I always watch TV with my hubby and sometimes I’ll do some Legos or stuff, and then I pop on my lip oil and then I’m good.”
The ‘All About That Bass’ hitmaker also explained that when it comes to her morning routine, she has “calmed down” her routine in recent years but always wears a mix of foundations in an attempt to look younger.
She said: ” I have so many steps, but I’ve calmed down a bit. But I always wash my face, or I try to, every morning, especially before I do glam. And I moisturize, and I always put my sunscreen on. I’ve been using the e.l.f Skin Suntouchable! All Set for Sun. The SPF 45 spray. It’s so easy because it’s a spray, and I pop that on before my routine. Sometimes, I start with the Halo Glow Filter, or I mix that with another foundation and blend it. Because it always makes me shiny, but not greasy. Shiny, but just dewy and young. ”

The 16-year-old star – who is the daughter of Page 3 legend Katie Price and her former husband Peter Andre – has amassed more than one million followers across her various platforms but tries to show all of her fans that embracing “natural” beauty is the way forward despite the temptation to conform to the use of filters or following makeup trends.
She told OK! Magazine: “Nowadays, there’s a lot of pressure, but I try to embrace being natural on my page. I think that’s really important to show, especially to younger people and those who are trying to break into the industry.
“Young girls have so much pressure on them to look a certain way. I think it’s good to show them that loving yourself is more important than trying to be someone else. Loving yourself and being natural – it’s the way to go.
Princess was then asked if she has ever fallen victim to online trolling admitted that she has had to deal with it but “doesn’t let it bother [ber]” because she is aware that she is not going to be liked by everyone so simply blocks and deletes those who write hurtful messages to her.

You’re not going to be liked by everyone, so the only thing you can do if you don’t like it is just block and delete.
