Kylie Jenner’s ‘only passion’ is make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner’s “only passion” is make-up.
The 19-year-old reality star has admitted she has always been obsessed with cosmetic products and beauty trends, and she used to spend hours watching make-up tutorials on YouTube to hone her skills.
Speaking about her one true love on her new E! spin-off show ‘Life of Kylie’, she said: “My passion has always been make-up. All I would do on YouTube when YouTube first came out was look at make-up tutorials and learn how to do my eyeshadow. I would be the only sixth grader in like, purple eyeshadow. It’s really my only passion.”
Although the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star has “always known” she was an avid make-up fan from an early age, she didn’t realise the true extent of her interest until she launched her beauty empire, Kylie Cosmetics, last year.
The teen entrepreneur continued: “I’ve always known that, but I don’t feel like I’ve realised the extent of it until I launched my own make-up line.”
Despite Kylie’s passion for the industry she believes she doesn’t “need” make-up.
She said: “I don’t feel like I need make-up. A lot of the time I feel like I’m not wearing make-up — no, I need make-up.”
And the television personality wishes she could be more like her older sister Kendall Jenner, 21, as well as fellow models Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin who wear flawless outfits “every day”.
She said: “I see Kendall [Jenner] and Bella [Hadid] and Hailey [Baldwin], and they’re just out here, like every day. They just put their outfits together and they’re made for this — which isn’t a bad thing. They look so good every day. Sometimes I wish I could do what they do. But that’s not me. I don’t want my picture taken. I don’t want people to see what outfit I’m wearing. Every time there’s paparazzi, I cover my face. I would love to wear this hoodie and my Heelys and sweats every day.
“The only reason why I keep it up a little bit is Kylie Cosmetics. But it’s like, so much pressure. I want to grow as a person the way I want to grow, and the path that I want to take.”

Jackie Chan works out ‘every day’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jackie Chan works out “every day”.
The 63-year-old actor has admitted he has a strict fitness regime, which sees him enjoy daily workouts at the gym as well as an hour-long run to maintain his slender frame.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, the martial arts expert said: “I still go to the gym every day and run for an hour.”
But the ‘Karate Kid’ star has “never” been on a diet in a bid to tone up because he believes acceptance and being “young at heart” is the key to being “naturally healthy”.
He added: “But I never go on a diet.
“I believe that if you enjoy every moment of your life, accept yourself and stay young at heart, then you will naturally be healthy.”
Jackie has recently filmed the mystery action movie ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ and he has urged people to take part in the fitness class because he thinks it is “good for people”.
He explained: “In kung fu explosiveness of action is necessary to do the most damage in the shortest time. But the moves in yoga are slow, focusing on the softness and flexibility of the body. In their own way, yoga moves are also at full strength: stable and balanced. Yes, they are opposites in a sense, but when a martial arts practitioner learns yoga, the training of the mind combines with physical strength to empower his or her willpower. Kung fu and yoga therefore complement each other.
“But I think it [yoga] is good for people. Both kung fu and yoga are tied to self-knowledge and enlightenment. They teach how to concentrate and to keep one’s body and mind in balance. They both train you to develop a clear mind and to feel one’s inner joy, protecting the mind from outer influences.”

Stella McCartney opens up about the obstacles she has faced in her career

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney was told she wouldn’t have a successful accessories line.
The 45-year-old fashion designer, who launched her eponymous fashion house in 2001, has revealed “many years ago” she was warned not to create any handbags, or jewellery, but the mogul ignored the advice and took on the challenge.
Speaking about her label to South China Morning Post website, Stella – who avoids using animal products in her creations – said: “I was told many years ago that I wouldn’t have a business in accessories.”
However, the star ignored the naysayers and was determined to prove people wrong.
She said: “I take it as a good challenge. If you can find that aesthetic in design and construct [the bags] in a way that’s mindful, responsible and conscious, then magic happens. Many conventional fashion houses kill animals for leather bags, but they still don’t have that success in design.”
And the creative mastermind – who is the daughter of music legend Sir Paul McCartney – strives to design clothes, cosmetic products and accessories that are “effortless” for both her male and female customers but do not “compromise on style, design or quality.”
She explained: “[My clothes] are subtle and chic but, at the same time, they make a good statement. I want to find that balance and make things effortless and easier for men and women, but also with a point of view.
“We’re providing these [sustainable fashion] solutions for mindful and responsible women consumers that are also modern and chic. So we need to provide that for our male consumers too. Nobody is delivering that in a luxurious way and that’s one thing that really inspires me to do menswear.
“First and foremost, we are a luxury fashion house so we don’t compromise on style, design or quality. We make desirable, beautiful modern products … I approach the business in a way that I feel is morally correct and modern. It doesn’t mean that [style and luxury] need to be sacrificed.”

Kati Nescher on her late start in life

OHMYGOSSIP — Kati Nescher is “glad” she embarked on a modelling career later in life.
The 32-year-old model was signed to AM Model Management in 2011 at the age of 26 years old, and although fellow catwalk icons are most commonly snapped up by an agency when they are a teenager, Kati decided to put her future on hold to get “life experience” and give birth to her seven-year-old son Theo.
Speaking to Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, the star said: “I’m glad I started modeling late. I had already left home, had my son [Theo, now seven] and people appreciated that I had life experience.”
But Kati believes she sometimes feels she is more than half of her actual age because the industry is so crazy.
She explained: “I still had to learn how to work with people and be around all the craziness, though; sometimes I’ve felt 15, too.”
And Kati has revealed even when she first started gracing runways and appearing in fashion campaigns it was a mad whirlwind experience, which she didn’t enjoy because she didn’t have the time to take it all in.
She explained: “The beginning of my career was intense. Modelling came into my life all of a sudden. I travelled so much in the first three years, I didn’t have time to enjoy it, and I needed a break from New York, so I moved to LA. I live in West Hollywood where I can walk to the grocery store or coffee shop.”
Meanwhile, Kati is desperate to visit London and shop in the vintage stores England’s capital have to offer because she is “obsessed” with second hand garments.
She said: “I’m obsessed with vintage. I have an amazing Saint Laurent cape that I found in New York; it’s beautiful. I want to stay in London for a week because there are so many good vintage stores there.”

She explained: “Coach’s executive creative director, Stuart Vevers–he’s an angel. He was just so open at figuring out our collaboration. If I’m working in film or writing or producing or fashion, I want to be surrounded by the best people so I can grow.”
And the artist – who is currently dating fellow musician The Weeknd, whose full name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – enjoys getting ready for a red carpet event, because she will invite all of her friends over for a “little fashion show” ahead of the event, which sees them indulge in chips as they give their opinion on the outfit options.
She explained: “Yeah. It’s fun because my friends will come over, and they’re eating chips, like, “That one looks so cool!” And I’m like, ‘I know!’ It’s a little fashion show, basically.”
And Selena has admitted she is “not afraid” of being wrong or of making mistakes now she has matured because she believes that standing by your beliefs are important.
She said: “I’m not afraid to be wrong now. Because I would rather say, “I stand by this.” You have to not be afraid to make mistakes because that’s how you figure it all out. I’m ambitious in every area of my life. I want to be a better daughter, a better friend, a better influencer. I want to feel something.”

Olivia Culpo admires Victoria Beckham’s style

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Culpo’s style icons are Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Yara Shahidi.
The 25-year-old model has admitted she follows “so many different” people on social media, but there are five stars in particular who she is “loving right now” and looks to for fashion and beauty inspiration.
Speaking to Brit + Co Online, the brunette beauty said: “I follow so many different accounts that I find inspiration from. Some people I’m loving right now are — Yara Shahidi, Simon Porte Jacquemus, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, and Mary Seng.”
And the ‘The Other Woman’ star believes the key to posting photographs of her ensembles on Instagram is to wear an outfit she feels “confident” in, which is usually a bold item, or a garment with a “beautiful silhouette”.
She explained: “Choosing an Instagram look always starts with putting together an outfit that makes me feel confident. One easy way to make a look come together is to pair it with coordinating accessories, like a nice bag or a great pair of earrings. I like to choose one favourite accessory — like a bag — and match it with a belt and a pair of shoes.
“I always look for bold details like a pop of colour, cutouts, or a beautiful silhouette. I also love a good jumpsuit. Adding a bag and sunglasses to the look ties the outfit together and can make the photo really stand out.
“And always search for the best lighting and take a few different angles until you find the right combination for you.”
Although Olivia has claimed she supports “outfit repeating”, she has advised fellow social media users to try to explore other ways of styling an outfit to show variation.
She added: “I’m all for outfit repeating, but I think you should have fun with your style and figure out a way to wear the look differently. For example, I like to wear my Olivia x Le Tote maxi dress as a dress, bathing suit cover-up, or a duster with some jeans and a tank. Instagram is about expressing yourself — if you aren’t having fun and enjoying yourself, showing your style and mood, then try switching things up.”

Susan Sarandon reveals her beauty secrets

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Sarandon likes her make-up to look “clean and not too heavy”.
The 70-year-old actress follows the mantra that “less is more” with cosmetic products, especially for older women, and she makes sure to stick to that by not applying one shade of eyeshadow to her lids but by contouring the eye socket with different shades instead.
Speaking to Hello! magazine about her beauty hacks, the ‘Stepmom’ star said: “I honestly think that the older you get, less is more. I’m careful about that – I don’t like colour on my lids, I like shading in certain places, but essentially I want my look to be clean and not too heavy.”
The red headed movie icon believes she would not be able to pull off some of the trends she experimented with when she was younger, such as the Twiggy eyelashes, because she fears it would look “too harsh” for her now.
She explained: “I look back at some of the looks that I’ve worn, like my Twiggy lashes [at college], but that would look too harsh on me now.”
And Susan has the same outlook on her hair as well, as she prefers to go out “no mess no hairspray” and will simply “hope for the best” with her curly tresses when she leaves her home.
She explained: “You know it’s coloured now, right? My hair is naturally curly, so I have to work at it. Often when I work I wear wigs because it is so unmanageable in the weather and it takes too much time.
“But going out I like to be no mess, no hairspray and just hope for the best. A bit rock’n’roll and simple.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren doesn’t think moisturiser has any impact on reducing the signs of ageing.
The 72- year-old actress joined forces with L’Oréal Paris earlier this year to be the face of the cosmetic giant’s Age Perfect range, after she became a brand ambassador for the company in 2014, but the star believes the skincare items she uses do “f**k all” for her complexion, although it makes her “feel better” about herself if she applies a product to her face and body.
Speaking about her beauty regime whilst at an event for the label in the South of France, for which the movie legend was sitting on the panel for, she said: “I’m an eternal optimist – I know that when I put my moisturiser on it probably does f**k all, but it just makes me feel better. “I’m not setting standards for others. All I can do is be who I am. I’ve always loved make-up.”
The ‘The Queen’ star has admitted she used to be furious when she would see an advertisement promoting beauty products was fronted by a fresh-faced youngster.
She explained: “It used to drive me crazy that the ads promoting skin products were using pictures of 15- and 16-year-old girls.
“As a 30-year-old, I used to look at that and think, what the f**k are you talking about? It was ridiculous. P**sed me off majorly. Advertisers are only just coming out of that, and it’s taken them a long time.”
Meanwhile, Helen – who regularly finds herself on the best dressed list at showbiz events – thinks she’ll be a sex symbol until the day she dies.
Speaking previously, she said: “I think it’s probably going to follow me to my grave.”

Pamela Anderson never wanted her children to be models

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson never wanted her children to have a career in the fashion industry.
The 50-year-old model has admitted her and her ex-husband Tommy Lee did not want their children Dylan, 19, and Brandon, 21, to star in runway shows for prestigious fashion houses because they wanted their “very smart boys” to make the most of their degree and achieve bigger things than the former couple.
Speaking to W magazine about Dylan – who starred in Saint Laurent’s fashion campaign earlier this year, and Brandon – who fronts the commercials for Dolce & Gabbana – she said: “I didn’t want them to be in this business, and neither did Tommy [Lee]. They’re both very smart boys and both got into incredible universities. They’re both big achievers. We just wanted to make sure they knew that they could do things other than what we were doing.
“And the boys are just doing this for fun; Brandon’s an actor and Dylan’s a musician. Brandon gets to be an actor on the runway, and just eats it up and loves it.
However, the style icon is proud of her sons for enjoying a successful career and for being “very open minded” about job opportunities.
The ‘Baywatch’ star said: “They’re both doing really good, and are at the age where they can make these choices. Of course, Tommy and I are like, ‘Oh no.’ But they’re handling it really well because they’ve been surrounded by all of this their whole lives, so they’re very open-minded and can thank uncle David LaChapelle for that.”
“My other son [Dylan] has this plan for his life and is very ambitious and all about the music, so it doesn’t really want to do any of this stuff; he turns down stuff all the time. He’s very calculated, while Brandon is very on his sleeve.”
Although Dylan models for the Italian fashion house, his mother is not the biggest fan of the brand because they use fur in their designs.
Pamela, who is an animal rights activist and has promoted veganism through her partnership with PETA, explained: “I walked in a few Vivienne shows years ago. [But] I just support my friends. Vivienne.
“[Stella McCartney] is a trailblazer. She’s created a very beautiful, super high-end fashion line without hurting animals. It’s incredible, and so difficult.
“And Stella is like family. I guess that’s my little world. Dolce & Gabbana are really cool, but I don’t like that they have fur. But they’re funny and really sweet, and very generous and really good to my boys. I have nothing bad to say about them.”

Martha Hunt will only wear red lingerie for a ‘special occasions’

Speaking about her wardrobe preferences to Us Weekly, the blonde-haired beauty said: “My favourite type of lingerie for day-to-day is the demi bra. It’s the perfect bra because it gives you subtle shape and it’s very comfortable and it disappears under clothes. If you want to show it off, you can add a little lace too.
“Personally, my favourite is black, but my next favourite would be red, but red is for special occasions.”
And the catwalk icon feels her “sexiest” and most empowered when her undergarments co-ordinate.
She continued: “I feel my sexiest when I’m wearing matching lingerie. Even if it’s under my clothes, it’s an empowering feeling knowing that I have it on.”

She explained: “I like to keep it pretty simple actually. I like to feel really fresh – maybe a lip stain, like the Victoria’s Secret velvet lip matte stain. I’m not even kidding, it’s my favourite lip right now. I’ve been wearing it all summer. And I just like a little bit of mascara and a nice stain. And glowing skin, I’m all about glowing skin.”

Speaking to Hello! magazine about her latest partnership, the flame-haired beauty said: “It’s flattering, but right from the beginning I have loved the idea of L’Oreal’s strapline: ‘Because you’re worth it’.
“You know, at the time make-up to be beautiful fir others, to please someone other than yourself. And so this idea, not that you cannot be beautiful without make-up but that you are worth the time it take to feel good about yourself, was exciting.”
And the ‘Stepmom’ star thinks it is important older women are cast in campaigns for skincare and beauty labels because women believe they become “invisible” when they hit 40 years old.
She explained: “I think that everyone talks about becoming invisible at 40, but maybe it’s moved up a little bit now.
“L’Oreal is certainly going against that belief [by working] with Helen Mirren and Julianne Moore – it is putting its money behind older women that people can identify with. And that’s smart – there are so many baby boomers who buy tickets to the theatre and travel and buy gorgeous clothes and buy beauty products, so it makes sense.”
And Susan has revealed she swears by three beauty essentials, which include the brand’s new Age Perfect Golden Age Day cream, as well as SPF and a lip balm.
She said: “L’Oreal’s new Age Perfect Golden Age Day cream that Helen Mirren is the face of – it’s important to stay moisturised as you get older. And I use SPF and lip balm too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner struggled to title every product in her Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection.
The 19-year-old television personality unveiled her 11-piece make-up brand earlier this week, and the star has revealed she found it “really hard” to name “all the stuff” in the line because she has claimed there are “not a lot of birthday names” for her to choose titles from.

“The inspiration behind this collection was a lot of pink. I just wanted it to be super girly, young and fun.
