Cara Delevingne feels ‘vulnerable’ with short hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne feels “vulnerable” having short hair.
The 24-year-old model recently chopped off her blonde locks and opted for a short pixie crop, and although the star likes her hair do because it is less maintenance, she also feels “a lot more open” and exposed being a part of the “short hair club”.
Speaking about her tresses to The Daily Telegraph newspaper, the ‘Suicide Squad’ actress said: “I’m in the short hair club. I like it because the maintenance is a lot less, which is nice.
“I feel a lot more open and a little more vulnerable than when I had long hair, which is actually kind of liberating.”
However, the British star doesn’t “give a s**t” about her appearance and has insisted she does not feel comfortable in the image-obsessed world of modelling.
Cara – who has graced the runway for prestigious fashion brands including Chanel, Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana – previously said: “I didn’t like myself as a model. I didn’t like what I stood for. I didn’t like what it was turning me into.
“Not that I was focused about how I looked all the time, but it is kind of about that.”
However, Cara will not opt out of a career on the catwalk, although she is more concerned with the production side of the fashion business these days.
She explained: “I’m not out of it. I will definitely still do it. Now when I model, I get to style my own shoots and decide who I work with.
“It’s become a creative outlet, instead of me being used as a pawn.”
Cara has insisted that, even though she has made millions as a model, her biggest passion has always been acting because it makes her “very happy”.
She said: “To be honest, acting is something I’ve wanted to do my entire life.
“It really teaches me so much about myself and about life, and that’s what I’ve always wanted to do. It makes me very happy.”

Speaking about her beauty hacks to PEOPLE, the catwalk icon said: “I’ll take an ice cube in the morning when I wake up and just run it across my face, and it really wakes you up and it makes your skin feels better, and it de-puffs.
“My mom always ingrained sunblock into my routine as a child because I grew up in Africa, and the sun is so intense there. That’s not a secret, but it’s something that I think if I haven’t used all through my youth, I would’ve seen the effects by now.”
And Behati – who is the face of skincare company SK-II – has revealed her husband Adam Levine often steals her moisturiser or face masks, although she will happily wear his deodorant if she cannot find her own.
The fashion muse explained: “When I can’t find my deodorant, I usually use his, and then smell like a guy the whole day. He will always steal my moisturiser because he’s such a dude – he never has his own. So he’ll just take my moisturiser, or if I have a mask on and he thinks it’s funny, he’ll ask me to put it on him, too.”
And Behati, who has 10-month-old daughter dusty with the Maroon 5 band member, has revealed she is still “getting used to” motherhood, but is enjoying the journey.

The teenager said: “I have to give him props for this one. I am actually really proud of him for this.”

Neelam Gill’s ‘main priority’ is wearing comfortable clothes

OHMYGOSSIP — Neelam Gill’s “main priority” when she is getting dressed every day is comfort.
The 22-year-old model has admitted she used to be “super girly” but after being signed to Models 1 at the age of 14 she has started to tone down her everyday style and “not care” about the outfits she wears.
Speaking to The Debrief about her wardrobe choices, the brunette beauty said: “Before I was modelling I was that girl that was super girly, I wouldn’t leave the house without make-up and I would wear heels just to go shopping. And I feel having this job has forced me to not care, which is weird because people would think because you are a model you would care so much about what people think.
“I feel like comfort is my main priority because when I am on set I’m always in sometimes the craziest clothes because after a long day of working and after when I get back into my clothes I want to feel my best.”
And the fashion muse follows the same rule with her hair and make-up, and she will take a break from wearing cosmetic products when she is not working.
She explained: “When I’m not working most times I’m so exhausted I just wasn’t to give my hair a break, my skin a break and I just want to blend in.”
However, the star has revealed when she has dressed down for a spot of retail therapy she has noticed the sales team have treated her differently.
Neelam explained: ” Sometimes, I’ll just be dressed in a tracksuit and trainers when I’m not working, and I can go into a high-end, they give me a bit of attitude and I think that ‘Oh she can’t afford to buy anything’. Whereas I’ve been in other times really dressed up and the sales people are really attentive, so you definitely see a change.”
And the catwalk icon feels she has become a “character” when she goes on set of a photoshoot and is completely transformed after being styled by hair and beauty experts.
She said: “I go into work really understated and then I have hair and make-up and styling, clothes can really transform you. I almost become a character, because some fo the clothes are so strong and structure. I don’t really get shy.”

Raf Simons says a career in the fashion industry was ‘completely alien’ to him

OHMYGOSSIP — Raf Simons says a career in the fashion industry was “completely alien” to him when he was younger.
The 49-year-old fashion designer – who is the Chief Creative Officer of Calvin Klein – has admitted he grew up being advised he should become a doctor or a lawyer when he was younger because he wasn’t aware of any other career paths.
Speaking to VanityFair.com about his upbringing, the creative mastermind said: “[I lived in] a village. There was nothing — no boutique, no gallery, no cinema.
“You were supposed to become doctors or lawyers. For me, it was completely alien.”
And it wasn’t until the mogul started watching ‘Style with Elsa Klensch’ he became aware of a potential future in the fashion business.
He explained: “I was hooked on her program because it had international fashion designers — Montana, Mugler, and then the Japanese. I didn’t know you could study fashion. I also did not know you could study painting or sculpture. Nobody ever told me. My mom and dad, they were completely in another world.”
And in 1995 Raf launched his eponymous menswear label, but he has “always” kept himself busy by dabbling in more than one project.
He said: “I don’t know why, but I always need to do two things.”
Raf has previously worked as the creative director at Christian Dior, and he has admitted he would never have taken over the design process for a fashion house if the brand didn’t already have a “major legacy”.
Speaking about his career choices, he said: “There is always a legacy. I could not go to a house that did not have a major legacy. Why would I?”
Meanwhile, Raf has revealed he gets the “biggest satisfaction” from seeing people, whether it is celebrities or not, adorning his designs.
He said: “The biggest satisfaction for any designer should be is if I see somebody in my clothes–whoever it is. It could be some kid in the street. It’s very inspiring, because it’s often not the way you saw it yourself. It re-activates your own process of thinking about how to dress people. For me, it’s extremely relevant that fashion work in its moment in time. I’m not romantic about the past. Once it’s done it’s done. I’m romantic about the future.”

She previously said: “I’ve had [make-up artists] not even bring the right colours for me and then try to put it on. It’s OK if you haven’t done a lot of darker skin — but people not wanting to respect and acknowledge that there is something different going on here?

OHMYGOSSIP — Nathalie Emmanuel says her hair is the “first thing” people recognise about her.

Speaking to Byrdie, the ‘Game of Thrones’ star said: “I think my hair is the first thing people recognize me for and I’m happy about that, because I think we’ve all gotten so used to women straightening and changing their natural hair.”
However, the star has revealed her natural hair was not “allowed” when she was at primary school, and she was forced to have her locks “slicked down” or plaited to hide her curls.
She explained: “Wearing my natural hair wasn’t really allowed when I was in primary school. So my hair was always slicked down or put in braids, sort of hidden away.”
Although Nathalie has been able to embrace her natural hair as she grew up, she appreciates some women want to carry out chemical treatments on their hair to change the style.
She said: “I think a lot of women with textured hair go through that same journey, where they want to chemically straighten their hair. And that’s fine if that’s what makes you happy, but I think many feel trapped by it.”
But the star has admitted she became “much more connected” to her roots when she visited her family in Saint Lucia.
She explained: “I just became much more connected to my roots when I went to [the Caribbean]. Something about being there and embracing the culture made me realize for the first time that my hair is a part of my mixed-race heritage. It’s a part of me.”

“In this one, I love the fresh, citrus [and] floral notes mixed with the warm base notes like the tonka bean.”
Jennifer has previously released J by Jennifer Aniston scene, Near Dusk and Beachscape, and although the American beauty is “playing” with her latest creation, her first perfume is the one she is most “partial” to wearing.

Speaking about his career to The Sun newspaper, the dark-haired hunk said: “We were always told, ‘This is your limitation you’re never going to earn as much as the women’, and I looked at that and I thought, ‘Well, that’s wrong.’
“I’m in the only industry where women are more powerful than men – and earn about five times as much.”
And David has revealed his father, Chris, finds the fact he is less “powerful” than his female peers “hilarious”.
The hunk added: “My dad still finds that hilarious. We’re in the same campaigns, we’re in the same coverage, and no one was really building a brand.”
