Olivia Culpo felt ‘pressured’ to dress appropriately for her boyfriends

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Culpo used to feel “pressured to dress to mould” who she dated.
The 25-year-old actress has admitted she had to tame the outfits she wore to suit the person she was in a relationship with because she felt “insecure” if her lover didn’t approve of her wardrobe choices.
The brunette beauty – who is currently dating New England Patriots sportsman Danny Amendola, told PEOPLE: “I have dated people in the past that actually made me feel insecure about what I would wear. When I was younger in relationships I would feel pressure to dress to mould who I was with. [Now], if a guy doesn’t think my outfit was cool or we weren’t matching I wouldn’t care. I am so over that.”
But the ‘The Other Woman’ star’s style has since evolved as she has become “more confident” in experimenting with new trends.
She explained: “[I have always had] a passion for expressing myself in fashion. [My style] has evolved, matured and become more confident in trying new trends and having more fun.”
And the style icon is not embarrassed to co-ordinate her outfit with her partner because she thinks people naturally “gravitate” towards their boyfriend or girlfriend’s style preferences.
She said: “I think it’s so cute. The more time you spend with somebody, the more you gravitate toward their style anyway. I feel like couples morph into a unit and they work off of each other and get the same sense of style.”
Although Olivia will wear bold garments, she will not be as experimental with her beauty products as she prefers to have “clean skin” and will “rarely” wear mascara on her eye lashes.
Olivia said: “My go-to beauty look is definitely clean skin, basically making sure there’s no blemish showing and then a lip [colour] with curled eyelashes. No mascara, no eye makeup, maybe a little bit of highlight. But I rarely wear mascara actually because I like to focus more on the skin.”
And though Olivia prefers to go make-up free, she has perfected the ability to apply lipstick or lip liner to her pout without looking in the mirror.
She said: “I don’t know how I got this talent. It’s so crazy. Even lining lips I don’t need a mirror. Everybody I work with always makes fun of me all the time because I will just be in the elevator and I will just be doing lip liner, even if it is a red lip. I think I’ve just been doing it for so long and I love it so much, I am trained.”

He explained: “It was really exciting. [Founder] Hubert de Givenchy would say the secret to elegance is to be yourself. This is the first time I’ve had to do anything where I’m really representing myself and that’s kind of daunting. It’s important to reflect an essence of your personality and who better to do that than my wife? It was the most enjoyable experience because there’s no inhibitions, no compromising. I’m very proud of it. there aren’t many things I’m proud of but when my wife and I work together I’m proud.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra uses to use “skin-lightening cream”.

Speaking about her beauty battles to Vogue India magazine, the brunette beauty said: “I had a lot of self-esteem issues. I was very conscious of the colour of my skin. I was very conscious of being, like, a super-gawky, skinny teenager.
“A lot of girls with a darker skin hear things like, ‘Oh, poor thing, she’s dark’. In India they advertise skin-lightening creams: ‘Your skin’s going to get lighter in a week.’ I used it [when I was very young].
“[In] India, because there you’re prettier if you’re fairer … I’m, like, dusky.”
And the ‘Quantico’ star even starred in a campaign to promote the product in her younger years.
She said: “Then when I was an actor, around my early 20s, I did a commercial for a skin-lightening cream.”

She explained: “I was playing that girl with insecurities. And when I saw it, I was like, ‘Oh s**t. What did I do?’ I started talking about being proud of the way I looked. I actually like my skin tone.”
And the ‘Baywatch’ star has revealed her family encouraged her to embrace her uniqueness because they were “really progressive” and challenged many traditional values.
She explained: “My parents were really progressive. My dad was a surgeon in the Indian Army. My mom is a double MD; she’s an ENT/ob-gyn. Go figure. Way to set your kids up for failure, you know?”

Jourdan Dunn wants to launch a cookware range

Speaking to Stylist magazine, the brunette beauty said: ” I have my notebook and set myself daily goals, even if they’re something little like making sure I wake up on time or that I phone a certain person because I don’t like speaking on the phone. Then at the end of the day, I look back on it and if I have achieved them I feel so good and I know I can set myself up for bigger goals. I feel small things lead to big ones.
“I’d love to have a few cookbooks and my own cookware – I love stir-fries so I’d like to do a wok and my own cookware – it’s so important to have good knives. I think you need to set yourself goals.”
The catwalk icon – who was announced as the face of Maybelline – has revealed she is an avid fan of beauty and skincare products and dreams of launching her own skincare range as well.
She explained: “I would love to have my own skincare line.
“The one thing I do a lot is go overboard with skincare; I go on Cult Beauty and I spend way too much. My go-to brands are Sunday Riley, Tata Harper, Dr Dennis Gross, Ling … the list goes on. I get sucked in. I’m obsessed; I always want to try and find the perfect cleanser or mask.”
The style muse has collaborated with a number of fashion houses over the years, including Missguided and Marks & Spencer, she has admitted she doesn’t pay “that much attention” to the most popular trends.
She said: “I’m in fashion but I don’t pay that much attention [ to it]. If you ask me about trends, I don’t really know about them, but if i see something I love, I’m like, ‘Yes” That will work for me.’ It’s all about what feels good.”

Speaking to PEOPLE, the ‘Black-ish’ star said: “My favourite colour on a day-to-day is just yellow. And I love a great mustard.
“It’s something that I not only feel comfortable in, but really establishes my presence. What I really appreciate about clothing is just its ability to help you take up space. When you put on a bold colour, you can’t help but fill up a room.
“I think this speaks to the idea that I just want to have fun. It’s always a reflection of who I am in that moment.”
Although the style icon enjoys wearing eye-catching garments, she has also realised “small details” can also transform any ensemble.

She explained: “I don’t know if many people picked up on the fact that there have been multiple events in the past couple months where I’ve worn mismatched earrings.

I will never say I will never do it. But there is no timing.”
However, the dark-haired mogul is content with his career at the moment and working on Louis Vuitton’s ready-to-wear range because the brand is so popular, although people believe it is only a “small” company he helms.
He explained: “To be the second one in a very fresh new brand in terms of ready-to-wear was interesting to me. When people say ‘it’s small’, it’s huge compared to any other house because Vuitton is so big. So doing the small things that grow into something so big, it’s quite fascinating and very attractive.”
And Nicolas has revealed when he is working on the main collections he is “very focused”, but when it comes to designing the cruise capsule he “lets [himself] go” and will experiment more with the designs.
He explained: “I have a very focused story when I do Paris, but for the cruise, I let myself go further. Because it’s winter and summer mixed together, you’ll be able to do things you were not able to do [for the two main collections].”

Although the fashion mogul has released multiple fashion lines, she still feels nervous prior to the big unveil.
She added: “You do still get butterflies but it is over to them. You have to be organised there’s so many clothes. You have to be organised.”

She said: “Really I get inspiration when I ‘m not doing anything and I switch off and I’m off gadgets, I’m off everything and lie quietly. I have a big archive so I collect for that a lot.
I do markets, I do research places, travel and I go to New York, or LA, or different cities, I go to special textile fabric archive places, I go to lots of reclamation yards, and junk yards and I just love stuff and looking. So I am always collecting. Then we figure out who our muse is and how we want her to look for the season. And then we build.”
Alice – who has eight-year-old son Fox – has hinted she is excited for the upcoming exhibition as it is her “favourite” time of the year.
She explained: “London has an edge, it definitely does.
“I showed in New York because we had shops over there and we needed to support our wholesale market. And then I had a son. Then I decided I want to be in London, I am a London designer, it’s good to support London Fashion Week.

Olivia Wilde changed beauty regime for children

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Wilde says motherhood made her change her beauty regime.
The 33-year-old actress, who has three-year-old son Otis and 10-month-old daughter Daisy with her partner Jason Sudeikis, has admitted she started to “consider” and alter what cosmetic products she was using when she became a parent and realised she was “responsible” for the health of a growing baby during her pregnancy.
When asked if her daily regime has changed since she became a mother, the ‘House’ star told W magazine: ” Yes, absolutely. We often don’t consider what we’re putting on our skin until we’re responsible for growing another human. Why can’t we be that thoughtful on behalf of just ourselves? I was struck by how serious the warnings were about the dangers of skincare while pregnant. Why is it okay to expose ourselves to such harmful chemicals at any point in our lives?
“I was not aware of the complete and utter lack of regulation in the American beauty industry until I met Hillary [Peterson] and Christina [Mace-Peterson] from True Botanicals. I knew the US was behind in terms of regulation, but I was not aware of just how far behind. The EU has banned more than 1300 ingredients. The US has banned 20. It is beyond shocking. It’s sad.”
Olivia teamed up with the eco-friendly make-up company True Botanicals earlier this year, and the style icon feels “lucky” to have partnered with the label and encourage customers to use “safer” beauty and skincare items.
Speaking about the brand and her latest venture, she said: “I feel lucky to be their chief brand activist, because I have the chance to introduce people to a safer way to feel beautiful.
“The efficacy is what blows me away, to be honest. I am a sucker for the incredible luxury of the products themselves, and the experience of using them (my bathroom smells like a northern Cali woodsy spa).”
However, Olivia was “sceptical” about using face oils to clear her bad skin, and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
The ‘Tron: Legacy’ star continued: “But I was sceptical that using face oils could actually clear acne, for example. I can swear to you that they absolutely deliver on that promise, and so much more. I feel so much more comfortable in my skin. I glow. I smell amazing. My skin is clear and dewy. And I don’t need to worry about kissing my kids and getting toxic creams on their precious virgin skin. I actually use True Botanicals on their skin too! The entire household uses the shampoo, conditioner, and body moisturiser.”

The ‘The Hangover’ star thinks meditation is “more accepted” nowadays than it was a few years ago, as people used to consider it to be a “weird” hobby.
She explained: “It’s more accepted now but back then people thought it was weird”.
The Wisconsin-born star has admitted her career in the entertainment industry is an intense job and she needs to find a “place of happiness” to help her relax.

Jeremy Scott opens up about his career struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Scott’s designs are inspired by pop culture.
The 42-year-old fashion designer – who is the creative director of the luxury label Moschino – has admitted he has a “very democratic” view of fashion and “always” creates garments to suit the current trends.
Speaking to The New York Post Online, the creative mastermind said: “I’ve always been inspired by pop culture. I’ve always been very democratic about my view of fashion and iconography.”
And the fashion mogul is not fazed by criticism of his products and thinks anyone who is not a fan of his work are “stuffy” and should not attend his catwalk shows.
Speaking about the naysayers, he said: “I would say that they’re stuffy and they could go to another show.”
But the style icon has revealed the products he has produced which are not “accepted at first” by the public or his customers are the pieces that become “more mainstream”.
He explained: “Many times my taste in something that wasn’t accepted at first has ended up becoming more mainstream. That’s another note I would say to those people who don’t get [me].”
Although Jeremy has received his fair share of criticism and was warned off of moving to Paris, France, to propel his career even further, he was always adamant he was going to continue to pursue his dreams.
He explained: “Everyone was like, ‘You don’t know anyone, you don’t have any money, you don’t speak the language’. There were all [people saying] no, no, no, no, no, but I . . . said yes.”
Although Jeremy did not get an internship as soon as he arrived in the European city, and was forced to live on the streets because he could not afford to live anywhere else, he soon turned things around in 1997 after hosting his first fashion show.
This moment then propelled Scott into a “fairytale” world.
Speaking about his career, he said: “It was like a fairy tale. It was . . . superflattering, and, at the same time, a little overwhelming.”
However, one year later Jeremy endured “one of the hardest things” as he was slated for his fourth fashion collection, which struck a chord with him, before he moved to America.
He said: “That was one of the hardest things to endure. These were the same people that had said such beautiful things about me five minutes before, and now they’re saying heinous things. I took it very personally.
“People thought I was crazy. But Hollywood dictates so much of what we think of as fashion — the way people emulate things worn by celebrities on the red carpet or just getting coffee.”

Pharrell Williams exfoliates like a ‘narcissistic madman’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams exfoliates like a ” narcissistic madman”.
The 44-year-old singer has a simple yet thorough daily beauty regime, which seems him scrub his skin “like a monster” to remove the dead skin from his body, and the star also relies on staying hydrated to help him maintain his flawless complexion.
Speaking about his skincare routine to DazedDigital.com, the ‘Happy’ hitmaker said: “I exfoliate like a madman. When you exfoliate and you drink a lot of water, that does good for you. To me, the key is just exfoliating, like a monster. There’s a lot of dead skin. All the time. Like a narcissistic madman.”
The musician believes someone’s style is “indicative” of who their personality, and he plans his outfit in the mornings based on how he feels in that particular moment.
He said: “What it [fashion] means to me personally is the same as what style is. It’s indicative of who you are and what you’re feeling. Specifically, the way I look at it, it’s when I get up in the morning, it’s how I feel, it’s where I’m going, and what the weather’s going to be like. That kind of informs me of what it is that I’m wearing. When people are like, ‘I don’t really have any style, I don’t dress up,’ you kind of are. That’s what your clothes are saying.”
And the American star has revealed “everyday people”, including “maintenance men”, give him fashion inspiration and encouraged him to wear “trucker hats”.
Speaking about who influences his wardrobe choices, he said: “Everyday people. They have the best style, because it’s real. It’s like, the maintenance man, he does maintenance, and so his clothes have a utility function. He’s going to wear it with that kind of swagger, so he shows you how to wear it. When I started wearing trucker hats, maybe 20 years ago, that was because I was seeing truckers wearing them and was like, that’s kind of cool.”
