Steve Aoki created music for STRONG by Zumba

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Aoki has created music for the fitness programme STRONG by Zumba.
The 39-year-old musician has teamed up with the bootcamp-style fitness class, which put on high intensity workouts to the beat of energetic music, and the star has made exclusive tracks to assist in creating moves in sync with the music, which is exclusively for the STRONG by Zumba Network named SYNC.
And the ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker has revealed he jumped at the chance of collaborating with the company because he is a “fitness freak”.
He said: “It’s no secret that I am a fitness freak! I’m always drawn to intense workouts that push me harder and STRONG by Zumba is doing this with music.
“It’s the first time I’ve seen a fitness brand reverse engineer music by scoring the beats around the routines and I’m excited to join them in hacking motivation through music.”
And Steve is glad his melodies will be able to “motivate” people to burn calories and get fit.
He added: “I love that I can translate my high-energy beats from the stage to the fitness floor and motivate people to burn calories and get toned.
“When we pair the song with the moves, the motivation factor is insane!”
And Steve has revealed coming up with new sounds for STRONG By Zumba was a “unique process”, because he had to build the tracks around the fitness sessions and routines.
He said: “Creating music for this program was a unique process. I received the routine and scored music around it, bringing the routine to life”
The CEO of Zumba, Alberto Perlman, has hailed Steve as the perfect match to create “innovative sounds” for the class.
He said: “Aoki’s innovative sounds, personality and creative energy match perfectly with Strong by Zumba. By working with world renowned producers, we are able to provide the best, most unique beats in every class that drive the ultimate afterburn.”
For more information about STRONG by Zumba(r) and to find a class or become licensed to teach the program, visit www.strongbyzumba.com.

Cheryl Tweedy thinks her style has ‘evolved’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Tweedy thinks her style has “evolved” over time.
The 34-year-old singer started smothering her face in foundation when she was 18 years old, but the star thinks her make-up looks have come a long way since her younger days and her time in Girls Aloud when she used to adorn harsh black eyeliner.
Speaking about how her appearance has developed over time on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (13.09.17), the brunette beauty said: “I never got into foundation until I was 18/19.
“I hope it’s changed. I would say my make-up look has changed a lot especially since the Girls Aloud days. I just evolve over time.”
However, the ‘Fight For This Love’ hitmaker still has a penchant for eye make-up and has revealed a smokey eye is her ultimate signature look because it makes her feel her “best”.
She explained: “I think my signature look now is probably smokey eyes, I always feel my best when my eyes are done.
“I swear by my mascara, I always love having mascaras on and I swear by a bit of bronzer.”
And Cheryl has admitted she is “gutted” when she has her make-up perfected by a stylist prior to an extravagant star-studded event.
She said: “There’s been occasions when I’ve been on the red carpet and I’ve really loved the make make-up on that day, and I get home and I am actually gutted I have to wash this off. So just take a couple of selfies.”
Cheryl gave birth to her first child Bear – who she has with her beau Liam Payne – in March this year, and the star has revealed her top tip for other mothers would be to try and moisturise as much as you can, even if it means pouring coconut oil, which the musician swears by, into your bath.
The star – who has starred in campaigns for L’Oreal and Eylure – explained: “My top my top tip for new mums would be, you don’t always get time to moisturise when you’ve jumped in the shower quickly while they are napping, so my tip would be jump in the bath and put your oil in the bath so you will be moisturised when you come out.
“I use coconut oil from head to toe. Literally you can eat it, put it in your hair, your face, your body. It’s brilliant stuff.”

Emily Ratajkowski reveals her inspiration behind The Kooples line

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski wanted to create a timeless collection for The Kooples.
The 26-year-old actress has teamed up with the French fashion house to design a 38-piece accessory line, which includes a bag named after the ‘Gone Girl’ actress, and the star has admitted she wanted to create a product that could be organised “easily” and could stand the test of time.
Speaking to Stylist magazine, the brunette beauty said: “I’m a messy person and wanted something that could be organised easily, but the most important thing to me was creating a timeless bag. I still have some of my grandmother’s old Prada bags, so that was something I talked to [The Kooples] about. I wanted a structured bag that won’t look totally crazy in 10 years’ time.”
And the style icon has revealed she was always aware of her body shape and tried to encourage herself to embrace her figure at an early age.
She explained: “From a young age I was like, ‘Listen, I’m not six foot two inches and flat chested – this is who I am, and if it works it works. Take it or leave it. Everyone is different now. I was at a Vogue Paris dinner … and I looked around and thought, ‘Wow, this is a much more diverse set of models than you would have once seen’. I think that’s progress in a world where it sometimes feels there isn’t a lot of progress.”
And Emily has hinted her mother, Kathleen Balgley, instilled feminist beliefs in her at an early age.
She said: “Having a mum who understood feminism, but also had her own perspective on it, was great. When I was young, I wanted to be clear in my message, like, ‘I know exactly what I believe and this is it’, but now I’ve learnt that it’s much more of a conversation, even with yourself.
“It’s an interesting time for feminism, in my mind.”

Victoria Beckham struggles styling herself during Fashion Week

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham finds it hard to pick an outfit for herself during Fashion Week.
The 43-year-old fashion designer recently showcased the new designs in her eponymous label at New York Fashion Week, and the star opted for a classic jeans and a white t-shirt ensemble during the exhibition because she didn’t “have the time to think” about her own outfit during the busy time.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her wardrobe choices during the hectic time, she said: ” On the lead up to fashion week you don’t really have the time to think about what you’re wearing because we’ve been so busy this week with the collection and the casting and everything else that goes with putting a big show together. It was just jeans and T-shirts for me this week.
“I got those [jeans] from a vintage shop. They’re just vintage Levi’s.”
And the Spice Girls band member – who was known as Posh Spice in the girl group – has revealed although she has even been sporting flatter shoes she will never stop wearing high heeled platforms, and will alternate between wearing both styles of footwear depending on the occasion.
She said: “The shoes are great. They are so comfortable as well. You really can wear them all day because they’re not too high. What’s so funny is that people said that [I stopped wearing heels] because I think like most people I’ll have a day where I want to put a heel on and then I’ll wear trainers if I’m running around after the kids. I go between the two. Sometimes a flat sandal if there is nice weather.”
Victoria has also recently released her new beauty capsule for Estée Lauder, which she is very proud of because she believes she has successfully created the essential cosmetic products “every woman” needs.
She added: “I’ve learned so much over the years. I have a point of view and I wanted to create the key must-have items that every woman should have in her make-up bag, and I really think that I’ve done that.”

Steve Madden wants to release a new trainer line

OHMYGOSSIP — Steve Madden is desperate to release a new trainer line.
The 59-year-old fashion designer has revealed he is already thinking about his next project and dreams of entering into the “sneaker business”, because he thinks the style of shoe are the most popular trend across the globe at the moment.
Speaking to NYTimes.com about his career, the creative mastermind said: “I would like to go into the sneaker business. I think everybody is wearing sneakers all the time. That’s something you’ll see in the future: more sneakers. I went out to a restaurant in Sag Harbor and it was all mostly 20 or 30-somethings. Why I was there, I don’t know. They were all wearing sneakers. They looked great! But it wasn’t for comfort; they just liked the look. It was interesting to see.”
But the star is also looking forward to seeing “more sneakers” and short boots make a comeback in the upcoming months.
When asked about what styles he is most looking forward to seeing, he said: “More sneakers and booties. They call short boots ‘booties.’ One of the newest features on the boot is the side zipper. In the old days, you had to sit down, lace them all up and now you just reach your foot in and zip them up and boom! It’s taking a little utility influence and putting it into fashion.
The American mogul opened a store under his eponymous label in New York’s Times Square last month, which stocks only men’s footwear, and the muse has revealed he decided to launch the new branch because he felt men were being “shortchanged” and his women’s footwear designs were much more exciting.
Speaking about his latest venture, he explained: “I felt that men were getting shortchanged. We were putting all the excitement into women’s.
“Our men’s business is great. We’re bringing the excitement we’ve brought to women’s, but we’re doing it slowly.”

Kristin Cavallari boasts she’s a trendsetter

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristin Cavallari has claimed she started the choker necklace trend.
The 30-year-old reality star was known for wearing the accessory during her time on the hit MTV show ‘Laguna Beach’, and the blonde haired beauty “likes to think” she encouraged people to bring the style back.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the fashion muse said: “I like to think [I started the trend] in my ‘Laguna ‘days. I wore this black suede band essentially and never took it off and that’s cool now! Everything comes back around.”
And the Uncommon James jewellery founder has admitted she is still a “huge” fan of the item, and “loves” that it has become a “hot trend” again.
She explained: “I’m such a huge choker fan. I love that they’re such a hot trend. I love doing it in a more subtle, minimalistic way.”
Kristin – who has sons Camden, five, Jaxon, three, and 20-month-old daughter Saylor with her husband Jay Cutler -has revealed Autumn is her favourite time of year because she likes to layer her clothes and jewellery.
Speaking about her fashion hacks for the season, she said: “I love layering.
“Fall is my favourite [season] because of layering. It’s all about layering for me… Boots, hats, scarves — the whole thing. I love it so much.
“I love thigh-high boots. And any bootie for that matter.”
However, the star has admitted she will always wear casual attire, such as a comfortable pair of leggings and trainers, on a day to day basis, and enjoys it when she can ditch those garments and dress up for a special occasion or date night with her spouse.
Speaking about her wardrobe choices for an evening out, she explained: “Depends on where we’re going, but you know, because I literally live in leggings and either sneakers or whatever Birkenstocks, so it’s nice to get dressed up. It’s nice to put on a dress. It’s nice to feel like a woman and feel sexy, so a skirt and maybe a bodysuit or a dress usually.”

Lauren Hutton started designing scandalous clothes at 13

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Hutton started designing clothes at 13 years old.
The 73-year-old model has revealed she started to make her own garments when she was a teenager because her and her family were “challenged financially” and could not afford to constantly buy new outfits.
Speaking to Stylist magazine about her upbringing and first foray into fashion, she said: “I started making my own clothes around 113 because we were challenged financially. Curves were very big in the Fifties. Tall, skinny girls were not ‘in vogue’.”
But the ‘Paper Lion’ actress used her petite body shape to her advantage and started to alter the length of her dresses and skirts, which was unusual at the time and did not become fashion able to do until two decades later.
She explained: “And I looked very carefully in the mirror and my curves were my knees and my elbows. So I raised my blue velvet dress so it came above my knees. Miniskirts weren’t to come in for about 20 years, so it was scandal.”
And Lauren’s homemade creations, which were deemed a “scandal”, saw her expelled from school for one day.
She added: “I was expelled for the day.”
But that was not the first time the style icon was sent home from school for her unusual wardrobe choices.
She explained: “I sat down and this thing [intricate skirt made of chicken wire] flew over my head. I guess my panties showed, I don’t know because I couldn’t see anything. Anyway, they sent me home, another scandal. I was involved in a lot of clothing scandals.”
Although Lauren’s designs saw her get into a lot of trouble, she thinks she would have been a great fashion designer if she took her hobby seriously.
She said: “I probably would have made a good designer”.

Speaking about her long-standing partnership with Paige, she explained: “I think it’s important to work with brands that you have a natural, organic relationship with and that you believe in. Speaking about her fashion hacks when she is jetting off across the globe, she said: “It depends on the season and where I’m travelling to, but I think you can never go wrong with a pair of skinny jeans, a blazer, and a great pair of heels. Heidi Klum hopes to make women ‘happy’ with her new range

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Klum is confident of making women “happy” with her inclusive Lidl range.
The 44-year-old beauty has teamed up with the German retail chain to launch her own clothing line, and Heidi is sure the collaboration will satisfy a broad range of women.
She said: “What is so amazing about this collaboration is I can reach so many women, I feel that I can make so many woman happy.”
The German model said that her clothing range will be affordable for everyone, as opposed to high-end brands, which are only available to “four or five per cent of women”.
Heidi explained: “There are so many designers already that are in the high-end market but that’s only four or five per cent of women in the world that can afford it and a lot of these brands only exist because of their sunglasses, their perfume or their bags.
“Not a lot of people can buy a head-to-toe from on the biggest designers – it’s impossible. But you can buy head-to-toe from my range for under €70, I can only do it because we are going into over 10,000 stores – can you tell me anyone else who is in 10,000 stores?”
Heidi – who has previously modelled for the likes of Victoria’s Secret and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – also admitted she was conscious of adopting an inclusive approach to her designs.
She told the Irish Times newspaper: “I’m talking to so many women out there it would be hard for everyone to wear such fashion-forward pieces.
“But in terms of cuts, I don’t have anything really unusual, so I tried to go easier on the silhouettes, the fabric and the print.”

Meg Ryan opens up about her ‘famous hair’

OHMYGOSSIP — Meg Ryan thinks it is “funny” she is known for having “famous hair”.
The 55-year-old actress is known for her signature short, blonde, curly locks, and the star finds it amusing that she has set a beauty trend and inspired other women to opt for the same look as her, although she wouldn’t have noticed she made the hair style famous because she “avoids” any news about her.
Speaking in an article she penned for InStyle magazine, the ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ icon said: “It’s funny having famous hair. It’s funny to have famous anything, for that matter. Fame has a half-life. It’s sort of like radioactivity–long after the original offense, you still feel the effects. The Internet has complicated the situation, but I’ve found that I can avoid news of myself by employing almost exactly the same skill set I use for not looking in mirrors.
“I’m not exactly expert at ignoring myself, though, because news about me occasionally does waft in. For instance, I am aware that I once had a famous haircut. I know this mostly because I still see it on people in New York.”
Although Megan has observed people have opted for the same hair style as her, she doesn’t always think the cropped do suits other people, and has hinted she even thinks the look is not on trend.
She added: “Occasionally, it suits the person sporting it but mainly not, because it was the ’90s after all, and its time has passed.”
The fashion muse has revealed hair expert Sally Hershberger has also made it known to her how popular her hair style was.
Megan continued: “I also know this because Sally Hershberger, the stylist who put it on my head to begin with, told me so. Apparently, there were years and years when people would come to her with crumpled magazine pages and expect to leave her salon with the same cut as mine. She obliged as much as she could, but in some impossible cases–namely, for super-straight or very curly hair–she would have to deny the request. You can’t please everybody.”
And whenever Megan thinks about her hair she thinks about her stylist who she has claimed is “responsible” for altering her tresses and making her a beauty icon.
The ‘When Harry Met Sally’ star said: “When I think about my hair, I think about Sally because she is, for the most part, responsible for it to this day. She’s cut, trimmed, razored, chopped, and slashed it for a million years now. For a while there was so much product in my hair that if you set the microwave on high and stuck my head in it for 30 seconds, I’d come out a muffin. Happily, I don’t really have a lot of complaints about my hair. It takes direction well, meaning it mostly does what it’s coaxed into doing. I like that it isn’t terribly weather-dependent, and on a good day it tends to help my face out.”

Olivia Culpo likens her PrettyLittleThing clothing line Dolce and Gabbana

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Culpo believes her PrettyLittleThing clothing line has “elements” of Dolce & Gabbana in it.
The 25-year-old model has recently teamed up with the online brand to create her own capsule collection for the online fashion house, and the star believes her range is similar to the designer label’s products because of the lace and red tones used.
Speaking to Look magazine about her latest venture, she said: “I think it’s got elements of Dolce & Gabbana with the lace and red tones.”
And the brunette beauty has revealed her range was inspired by Fashion Week, as well as her own fashion sense.
She said: “I took inspiration from a lot of thing that I’d loved about Fashion Week, things I’d seen in Milan. I was also inspired by stuff I’d worn. I wanted to create a collection that was practical, but sexy and confident. ”
The style icon has revealed her mother, Susan Curran, is a huge fan of the garments in the PLT x Olivia Culpo items, especially the clothes with lace on them.
She explained: “My mum’s in love with the lace pieces [from PLT]. The body-con black lace dress – that one’s her favourite. She hasn’t seen it all but I’m very interested in what she thinks.
“My mum and I have different styles.”
Olivia – who is currently dating Danny Amendola – believes her fashion sense is “always evolving”, but fellow actresses such as Blake Lively and Lily Collins give her style inspiration.
She explained: “I’m always evolving. I like Blake Lively, Olivia Palermo, Lily Collins. I’ve worked with all of them and told them that. They all have timeless elegance.”
And the ‘The Other Woman’ actress has admitted she feels “overwhelmed” when she hits the red carpet, because she wants to look her best, but is conscious not to get too nervous about her appearance that she doesn’t enjoy the ceremony.
She explained: “The red carpet can be overwhelming. Of course I want things to look good. But what helps me is just enjoying it and not taking it too seriously. When I get ready, I’m creating something that’s fun and beautiful. It’s not about looking perfect.”

The brunette beauty believes the “true key” to a woman’s beauty is the skin, which inspired her to make products that would resemble flawless skin, which she has coined as The Fenty Face that includes applying a matte base and a highlighter before blotting the remnants off.
The style icon explained: “Skin is the true key to a woman’s beauty.
“I think if you can make make-up look like skin, that’s the best.”

Speaking about the product, the Barbadian-beauty said: “It’s in our Fenty Beauty signature pinky nude colour. I wanted it to be different from regular blotting paper. I wanted it to feel a little bit sexy.”

Speaking in her Goop magazine, which the ‘Iron Man’ star will release on September 19 in partnership with Conde Nast, Gwyneth said: “For me, when I take my shoes off and walk in the grass, it’s so healing. It’s hard to find scientific evidence for the idea that ‘I feel good.’ But by trying, you get so much juice out of life.”
The style icon – who has 13-year-old daughter Apple and 11-year-old son Moses with her former partner Chris Martin – is known for experimenting with unusual beauty trends, and the star has revealed she was inspired to undergo a “master cleanse” after reading a book in a “hippie health food store”.
She explained: “I remember standing in a hippie health-food store in Greenwich Village and I saw a little paperback book describing a ‘master cleanse,’ and I was like, ‘What’s that?’ I remember the next day [after I finished the cleanse] I was like, ‘Oh, wow, I just did this cleanse, and I feel so much better. I can have a beer and a cigarette now, right?'”
Gwyneth underwent a bee sting treatment last year, and has admitted the unusual procedure “evened” out the “buckling” in her caesarean scar.

Octavia Spencer reveals her style tips

OHMYGOSSIP — Octavia Spencer has advised people not to wear “too much” underwear.
The 47-year-old actress has realised less is more even when it comes to her undergarments as she has urged other people not to go overboard with the lingerie.
Speaking about her style hacks to press at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday (10.09.17), the ‘The Help’ star said: “Ladies, it’s not worth it.
“We don’t even [need to] say what underwear it is. Just don’t wear too much of it.”

The star said: “[My style has] evolved to accommodate for comfort.
“I think it’s all about comfort and knowing what fits your body. And I’m there now, I’m all about comfort and what suits me.
“I think trying to wear nine inch heels and tights trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey, those days are gone [for me].”
Octavia believes if women are confident in their ensemble they will instantly look and feel sexy.
She said: “I think women are sexy when they are confident.”
Earlier this year Octavia opted to wear a tuxedo at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which made her feel completely liberated.
