Millie Mackintosh is a trained make-up artist

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Mackintosh trained to be a make-up artist when she was a teenager.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has just released her own cosmetic line – featuring face and body products – in collaboration with Boots and has admitted she’s been dreaming of dropping her own range since she gained her qualification.
Speaking in an interview with Byrdie UK, she said: “Beauty has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I trained to be a make-up artist when I was 18 and have continued my love affair with everything beauty since. It’s a dream come true to partner up with Boots as they are such an iconic British institution.”
The 28-year-old beauty has been working on the products for well over a year and is thrilled with the outcome because it’s been a joint effort between her and her team.
She explained: “The products where in development for about a year. I worked with a wonderful dedicate team of ladies who merged the technical elements with my creative ideas and aesthetic references … We endeavoured to incorporate all skin types for the body based products and tones for the makeup elements.
“For example the Shape Up Brow Set (£12) and the Deeply in Lustre Bronze and Glow (£16), you can build up to your preferred colour. I was also mindful that the range be all-inclusive, there’s a little bit of something in there for everyone.”
And, with her years of experience, Millie doesn’t mind not wearing make-up but always makes sure she has her eyebrows done and then she can “face the day” properly.
She said: “There are so many! However brushing up the eyebrow (not brushing out) will always make them look fuller and give a more open shape to your eye.
“If my eyebrows are done then I tend to feel ready to face the day. Shape Up Brow Kit is always in my bag.”

Laverne Cox’s ‘breath was taken’ when she first saw her Emmy’s gown

OHMYGOSSIP — Laverne Cox’s “breath was taken” when she first saw the dress she wore to the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy awards.
The 45-year-old actress adorned a metallic floor-length gown to the star studded bash, which took place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday (17.09.17), and the star’s stylist, Christina Pacelli, has revealed Laverne was “immediately awestruck” when she first locked eyes on the ensemble.
Speaking to WWD about the ‘Orange is the New Black’ star’s reaction to her outfit, the fashion guru said: “When (Laverne) saw this gown for the first time, her breath was taken. She was immediately awestruck, fell in love with everything about it and the idea of this dress in gunmetal – it showed in gold on the runway. Laverne’s skin tone looks great with this shade of gunmetal. She could see that vision when we sat down together.”
But Christina has revealed her and Laverne had to start planning her attire for the extravagant event with “much greater lead time” than anyone else because of the Alabama-born star’s body shape.
She explained: “Laverne is not a sample size, so we have to start the planning process with much greater lead time than another woman in Hollywood who is.”
But Laverne was not fazed by the fact her garments, and her shoes had to be custom made to fit her, because the LGBT advocate has embraced her “beautiful body”.
Christina added: “Laverne is open about the fact that she’s not a sample size woman in Hollywood.
“Her body is beautiful, she embraces that, but we have to work on custom things because samples are what is available to us and it doesn’t work for everyone. We celebrate the fact that she’s a beautiful woman with a beautiful body.”

Michael Kors is desperate to style the Queen

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Kors is desperate to dress Queen Elizabeth II.
The 58-year-old designer – who founded his eponymous designer label in 1981 – thinks the 91-year-old monarch is the “ultimate person” he would love to style, because he believes she can pull off any outfit effortlessly.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the creative mastermind said: “She would be my ultimate person to be able to dress. To pull it off with such aplomb, it’s amazing.”
The businessman – who has built up a long list of celebrity clientele including Kate Hudson and Jennifer Lawrence – believes “consistency” with a person’s wardrobe choices is what defines a person’s style.
He continued: “She has total understanding of her life, her needs, what’s the best part to show off… I love the consistency, I think it’s brilliant. As the end of the day, consistency is what becomes style versus just fashion.”
And Michael strives to help make “everyone” of any shape, age or size to “look great” in their outfit.
He said: “My job is to make everyone look great. Whether it’s a teenager or an 84-year-old, whether it’s an American size zero or an American size 16 … I don’t think it’s like, ‘Oh, if you can’t fit into this box then you’re not part of my club.”
Michael recently showcased his latest collection during New York Fashion Week, which saw model Ashley Graham grace his runway, and the mogul made sure everyone had natural hair and make-up because he wanted to show off their assets.
He explained: “I said to Ashley when we had her fitting, ‘You’re an amazing beauty, everyone needs to see your body. The last thing I would do is put you in a tunic and a pair of elasticated trousers. Let’s celebrate you.'”

Jessica Biel reveals her Emmy awards fashion nightmare

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Biel was “sweating for an hour” in her gown prior to the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy awards.
The 35-year-old actress adorned a nude coloured Ralph and Russo Couture dress, with embellished detail, to the star-studded bash, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday (17.09.17).
But the ‘The Sinner’ star has revealed she was faced with a fashion nightmare en route to the star-studded bash when the air conditioning in the car had stopped working and every body part was “stuck” to the chairs.
Speaking to ‘Extra’ about the malfunction prior to gracing the red carpet, she said: “You guys, we have been sweating for an hour, my back was stuck to the chair, my butt was stuck to the chair, my thigh was stuck to my other thigh … it was intense, it was intense.”
And the star made it publicly known she was suffering from the stifling heat as she took to social media to share a photograph of her on her way whilst holding a glass of ice.
Alongside the image, which was shared on her Instagram account, she wrote: “When the AC is broken en route to the Emmy’s you thank God for the ice in your drank. #emmys (sic).”
And the style icon has revealed she envies her two-year-old son Silas’ style because he gets to wear pyjamas “all day long”, which Jessica only dreams she could do.
She told the American television programmed: “Silas wants to wear pyjamas all day long. I don’t care; if I could wear pyjamas all day long, I would.”
Jessica also revealed she attended the extravagant bash solo because her husband Justin Timberlake was headlining at a concert in Brazil.
When asked about the ‘Cry Me A River’ hitmaker’s absence, she said: “He’s headlining ‘Rock in Rio’ in Brazil.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Fonda is set to model in L’Oreal Paris’ fashion and beauty show.
The 79-year-old actress will grace the runway in the prestigious brand’s first ever catwalk show titled Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris, which will take place on the Avenue des Champs-Élyséess in Paris, France, on October 1, as part of this year’s Paris Fashion Week, NYMag.com has reported.
The company hope the upcoming extravaganza will invite their customers and the worldwide audience to view fashion and beauty in a way it has “never before” been considered.
Speaking about the event the L’Oreal brand president, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, said: Bringing the show onto the most famous street of Paris is a way of opening up the worlds of fashion and beauty like never before. Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris is truly open to all and we are proud to cast models and spokespersons from all around the world and from diverse backgrounds to represent beauty for everyone.”
The ‘Monster-in-Law’ star will be accompanied by models Doutzen Kroes, Maria Borges and Soo Joo Park on the runway.
The brand will flaunt over 70 make-up looks during the exhibition, which have been created by L’Oreal Paris’ global make-up director Val Garland, and her team.
Meanwhile, Jane has admitted she feels “happier” in herself approaching 80 years old than she did when she was 20 because she used to feel like she was merely “drifting through life”, whereas nowadays the movie icon believes she has more purpose to life.
Speaking previously, Jane – who has daughters Vanessa and Mary, as well as son Troy – said: “At 20, I was so old – I was cynical, hopeless, drifting through life. Same at 30. I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I didn’t know who I was …
“If you’d told me when I was 20 or 30 that I’d be happier at 70, I would have said to you, ‘You’re out of your mind.'”

Henry Holland thinks his career was an ‘accident’

OHMYGOSSIP — Henry Holland thinks his big break in the fashion industry was an “accident.”
The 34-year-old creative mastermind – who launched his own label House of Holland in 2008 – has admitted he has “never” considered himself as a designer, and he thinks it was “fate” that turned him into a global success because he didn’t anticipate his creations would be such a huge hit.
Speaking on behalf of online job boards totaljobs and Milkround in their latest campaign around achieving a healthier work-life balance, Henry said: “Since day one, I’ve always approached House of Holland as a brand and I’ve never considered myself a young designer.
“My big break was a happy accident like my entrance into the fashion industry. I made t-shirts with the names of fashion designers on them and I gifted them to my friends, some of those friends were the designers who were the names on the t-shirts. People first saw my t-shirts because Gareth Pugh was wearing it for work and he was so busy he didn’t have time to get changed after his fashion show. Gareth was wearing my t-shirt the night before his fashion show and he worked through the night so he was still wearing it when he came out for his bow at the end of fashion week! I think it was fate and very much meant to be. I believe in that type of thing.
“I actually had no intention of creating anything that would change my career path. I just started making t-shirts for my friends and I to wear as a personal project. I think the authenticity and grassroots nature of the work really resonated with people and the industry – it took off quite quickly!”
And the businessman tries to keep himself separate from his brand so it becomes more of a “team effort”.
He explained: “I didn’t use my name for House of Holland because I’ve always seen what I’m doing as being about a brand, rather than it being about me. My outlook is that it’s very much team effort.”
And Henry has revealed he has high hopes for his future in the business as he is keen to explore other “product categories”.
He said: “And there’s still so many different product categories and so many areas I want to work in. Watch this space.”

Ashley Graham’s husband prefers her without any make-up on

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham’s husband prefers her without any make-up on.
The 29-year-old plus-sized model graced the runway for Michael Kors’ Spring/Summer 2018 fashion show during New York Fashion Week without any cosmetic products on her face, and the star has hinted it was not unusual to her because her partner Justin Ervin “likes” it when she goes au naturel.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the brunette beauty said: “That’s how my husband likes me — without any make-up.”
The Addition Elle creator has revealed she maintains her flawless looking complexion by staying hydrated and undergoing oxygen facials “twice a month”.
She explained: “I drink lots of water. I know everyone says it but it’s real. And Mzia [Shiman]. She does oxygen facials — she’s amazing. I go twice a month.”
The 58-year-old fashion designer has revealed he opted for the “fresh-faced” aesthetic during his exhibition because he didn’t want his representatives to look like “mannequins” but wanted to show off the models in their natural form.
Speaking about his showcase, the creative mastermind said: “With the fresh-faced makeup we wanted to put the spotlight on the women and not make them look like mannequins. When you see everyone fresh-faced you get to really see their beauty. We left their hair the way their hair is. If you have straight hair your hair was straight. Curly, curly.”
And the businessman – who launched his eponymous label in 1981 – enjoys dressing “all ages, all sizes” of peoples.
He said: “36 years being a designer, I’ve dressed all ages, all sizes and also different points of view. For me that’s what’s fun about being a designer — dressing this wide range of women … I don’t like when the models look like mannequins. I want them to be the women they are.”

Susan Sarandon wears a different fragrance for every role she plays

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Sarandon wears a different fragrance for every role she plays.
The 70-year-old actress has admitted she regularly changes the scent she wears for each movie she is cast in to help her get into that character, although there have been times she was driven “crazy” by a perfume she wore that she had to change it.
Speaking about her beauty hacks, the red head said: “I also choose a scent for every character and that really helps me to instantly become that person. I mean for ‘Feud’ I researched and knew that Bette Davis wore a certain perfume, but it was just horrible. I tried to wear it, but it drove me crazy, so I chose something that was from that period and went for Guerlain Shalimar. For Sister Helen [in ‘Dead Man Walking’] I chose Jean Nate because it smelt clean and inexpensive.”
And the ‘Stepmom’ star has revealed she has left a lasting memory with her co-stars because of the scent she has worn when working on a project with them.
She explained: “Absolutely, and sometimes leading men say the same thing. For example, Jimmy Spader (we did ‘White Palace’ together) now says that when he smells Chanel No. 5, which I wore because my character loved Marilyn Monroe, he instantly thinks of that time in his career. And whilst filming ‘Bernard and Doris’ with Ralph Fiennes, I wore a scent called new Harlem and that became so familiar to him that he now associates it with me and that film.”
However, Susan prefers to spritz herself with men’s aftershave because it is not as “highly floral” as other female scents.
Speaking about her favourite cosmetic products to Hello! magazine, she said: “I actually prefer a lot of men’s scents that are not so highly floral, like Santa Maria Novella’s Eva (incidentally, that is my daughter’s name), which is not even a woman’s scent, but I wear that a lot.”

Bella Hadid spent ‘three 15-hour days’ in the cold shooting Bulgari campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid spent “three 15-hour days” in the cold shooting the Bulgari fragrance campaign.
The 20-year-old model was announced as the face of the Italian label earlier this year, but the star has revealed the photoshoot for the brand’s new scent Bulgari Goldea Roman Night was a gruelling process that saw her spend 45 hours in the freezing cold conditions in Rome, Italy.
Speaking to PEOPLE about the project, the brunette-beauty said: “It was really, really cold and it was three 15-hour days. It was aggressive, but it was definitely worth it and it ended up working out well.”
But the catwalk icon hasn’t let the difficult working environment put her off, as she has still hailed the company as an “amazing iconic brand” and an “intense, so loving and so incredible” family she is honoured to be a part of.
She said: “Bulgari is such an amazing iconic brand and for me to be a part of it is so amazing. The [Bulgari] family is so intense, so loving and so incredible.”
And Bella – who is the younger sister of fellow model Gigi Hadid – has graced the runway for a number of designer fashion houses during New York Fashion Week, and the style muse cannot believe her successful career has enabled her to buy her own apartment in New York at such a young age.
She said: “Now to be here in New York, which is where I live now finally to be here launching this fragrance, is a dream come true.
“I’m only 20 and I’m buying my new apartment soon. That was something that I’d never thought I’d be able to do, and I wouldn’t be able to do if I didn’t have the right people around me. There’s upsides and there’s downsides but they equal out eventually.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher had a “blast” working on the new Gap campaign with Future.
The 71-year-old singer has collaborated with the 33-year-old rapper on a track for the longstanding brand’s Meet Me In the Gap campaign, and the raven-haired musician has hailed her time working on the commercial with the ‘Mask Off’ hitmaker as a “beautiful” moment.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her latest venture, the ‘I Got You Babe’ music legend said: “When Gap said they wanted to team me up with a young artist I knew it would be really beautiful. We had a blast together.”
Cher is known for her outlandish wardrobe choices, but the icon’s go-to items are a denim jacket and a pair of jeans.
She explained: “I can’t even tell you how many denim jackets I have or how many I’ve had in my lifetime. I couldn’t tell you if you put a gun to my head. My grandmother wore jeans, my mother wore jeans, I wore jeans my kids wore jeans. It’s something that has been in my life since I was a little kid.”
Future has revealed he wanted to have as much “fun” working on the campaign with Cher, because the pair are from entirely different backgrounds.
He said: “Coming into this I wanted to have as much fun as he did.
“It was cool to work with someone who is in the industry but has such a different background and life from me. Our love for music really connected us. She’s a true performer and a legend.
“I couldn’t help but follow her lead and also ask her for a few pointers on stage presence in front of the camera in this type of setting.”
Future is a huge fan of the label and believes his partnership with the company, which comes shortly after his three-year-old son Future landed his first fashion campaign for Gap, has brought the entire family together.
The musician – whose full name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn – said: “It’s part of my DNA, growing up wearing Gap and now to see my son wearing it and in a campaign ties the whole family together. They have something for every age, every person in a family.
“With both of us being in campaigns for Gap I think it would be cool to pass down that piece of memory to him.”

Ashley Graham slams Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma Fashion Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham wished Rihanna had cast plus sized models in her Fenty x Puma by Rihanna fashion show.
The 29-year-old model – who was the first plus size model to appear on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue last year – has hailed the ‘Work’ hitmaker’s new collection she exhibited during New York Fashion Week as “amazing”, but if the star could have changed anything about it she would have liked to have seen more fuller frames gracing the runway in the highly coveted garments.
Speaking to Yahoo! Style about the showcase, the brunette beauty said: “I was at Fenty last night, and that was an amazing show. But how dope would it have been to see some curves on the runway?”
But the Lane Bryant ambassador was pleased to see a “very diverse group” of races model in the 29-year-old’s recent show.
Ashley added: “It was a very diverse group of women, which was really nice.”
Ashley has recently stripped down to her underwear to model her upcoming collection for her plus-size company Addition Elle during the annual fashion extravaganza.
But the star has no qualms about donning skimpy lingerie sets because she feels most confident when she is wearing nice underwear.
Speaking previously, the style icon said: “Sexy lingerie is my secret weapon to boost confidence! My 15th collection Purple Rain is available now! Link in bio #ashleygrahamlingerie x @additionelle (sic)”
And Ashley is desperate to model for Victoria’s Secret and grace their runway in their forthcoming fashion show, which will take place in Shanghai this month.
Speaking about her dream job, she said: “Victoria’s Secret, call me. I will walk your runway. I will wear those wings, honey. And I will wear it with confidence! Right, wouldn’t you say yes?”
However, Ashley has not always been as positive about her career in the fashion industry and it was her mother who encouraged her not to give up on her dream.
She said: “Everything was about exterior, everything was about weight for me.
“I said, ‘I can’t do it anymore, I’m coming home. This is it,’ and she [Ashley’s mother] said, ‘No, no, you’re not coming home. Your body is going to change someone’s life and New York needs you. The fashion industry needs you,’ and I stayed.”

The late Pierre Berge opens up about YSL brand

OHMYGOSSIP — The late Pierre Bergé co-founded Yves Saint Laurent to try and “save” his partner and business associate Yves Saint Laurent.
The 86-year-old creative mastermind – who tragically passed away on September 8 – has admitted he never wanted to become a businessman, but the only reason he entered into a partnership with the late mogul and launch the prestigious fashion house was to “help him” after Yves was hospitalised following a nervous breakdown.
Speaking about the start of his career in one of his final interviews with AnOther magazine, the mogul said: “I was young and probably stupid.
“When he said we have to open a couture house together, I said yes. Ten minutes later, when I was alone in the courtyard of the hospital, I said, ‘My God, what can I do?’ But I did it.
“I didn’t want to be a businessman. I refused to be a businessman – but I became a businessman for Yves. To help him. To save him. To give him back his place.”
And Pierre has hinted he is proud of the fashion house because he thinks the garments empowered its female customers.
He said: “Saint Laurent gave power to women. When a woman was insecure, Saint Laurent garments gave them security. It’s true.”
Pierre sold Yves Saint Lauren shares, which included the label’s ready-to-wear and cosmetics businesses to the Gucci Group, almost 20 years ago, and he has even let go of the variety or art work him and his lover had acquired over the years.
And the entrepreneur has hinted he let the possessions go because he doesn’t want to keep hold of things that remind him of his partner, who passed away in 2008.
He explained: “It is also because I don’t want to continue to possess that collection alone, without Yves. I don’t want to do that.”

Madonna reveals inspiration behind MDNA skincare line

OHMYGOSSIP — Madonna’s MDNA skincare line was inspired by her music career.
The 59-year-old singer has teamed up with the Japanese cosmetics company MTG to create her debut beauty range, and she has revealed her life as a “performer onstage”, which leaves her “sweating and feeling exhausted”, as well as her hectic schedule, led her to create the line.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her latest venture, the ‘ Material Girl’ hitmaker said: “I wanted to create something that just works for me so I didn’t have to grab one product from one line, one from another, then find out something got discontinued. But my desire evolved from being a performer onstage, travelling all the time, being under hot lights, sweating, and feeling exhausted. I wanted a line that constantly rehydrates and also preps my skin to take on all those challenges.”
The music icon has revealed the Face Serum and Rose Mist in her collection are “permanent fixtures” in her bag, which she swears by.
She said: “The Face Serum and Rose Mist are permanent fixtures in my bag. I use them liberally. I spray other people when they say annoying things. Or not.
“I use Rose Mist on it [my hair], and a lot of conditioner. Soap isn’t the best thing for coloured hair, so I use a lot of oils, like Rodin Olio Lusso.”
And the star has revealed she struggled to create the rose fragrance, as she was desperate for it not to smell “synthetic”.
She explained: “I love the smell. I wear Fracas [by Robert Piguet], which has tuberose in it. It’s really hard to create a rose fragrance, as you know, because it’s really, really rare and expensive to replicate on a mass level, and those synthetic smells just don’t cut it.”
Madonna has revealed her children Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 17, Mercy, 11, David, 11, as well as five-year-old twins Stelle and Estere, also wear her products, especially her sons.
She explained: “All my kids do. Strangely, my sons are kind of into them. It’s nice to hear your son say, ‘Mama, I’ve run out of MDNA. Can I have some more serum?'”

Mandy Moore is the new face of Garnier

OHMYGOSSIP — Mandy Moore is the new face of Garnier.
The 33-year-old actress has been announced as the new face of the haircare brand’s Nutrisee campaign, and the star is honoured to be handpicked to represent the company because she has “always loved” experimenting with different hair styles and colours.
Speaking in a statement about her latest venture, the ‘This Is Us’ star said: “Can I make a confession? I’ve always loved changing my hair – but a few years ago, I decided to change my life. From my work, to my friends, to my relationship with myself. It wasn’t easy, but it paid off.
“So when Garnier asked me to be the new #GarnierGirl, and open up the conversation about transformation in a fearless way, I jumped at the opportunity.”
Mandy has revealed she likes to change her tresses because she likes to “shake things up” when the rest of the world is “out of [her] control”.
She said: “I love to change my hair because in a world where so much is out of my control, it makes me feel like I’m doing something to shake things up. But it’s deeper than blonde or brunette. It’s about figuring out how to make my outsides reflect my insides, and that takes a little soul searching. I’m thrilled, even a little nervous, to go down that exciting, if imperfect, path together with Garnier.”
Despite altering her aesthetic over time, Mandy has always wanted the “real me” to come through regardless of the shade of her locks.
She said: “For me, it’s always been important that no matter how I change my look, I want the real me to shine through.”
Mandy’s recent collaboration sees her follow in the footsteps of fellow actresses including Tina Fay and ‘Sex and the City’ style icon Sarah Jessica Parker, who have previously been the face of Garnier.

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse doesn’t “define” herself as a model.
The 25-year-old catwalk icon embarked on a career in the fashion industry at the age of 16, and despite boasting almost 10 years in the business she doesn’t consider herself to be “particularly good” at modelling, and doesn’t think she looks like a stereotypical model.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper about her career, the blonde beauty – who has graced the runway for prestigious labels including Alexander Wang, Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger – said: “I just don’t define myself as a model
“I don’t feel like I even look like a model or that I’m particularly good at it.”

She said: “I’m quite a scruffy person. I’m not good at washing my face.”
But Suki does enjoy “pushing [herself] physically” by undergoing intense workouts, as she used to practice karate as a child.
She explained: “I like pushing myself physically.”
Suki has expanded her horizons and has appeared in a number of films, including the Netflix movie ‘The Bad Batch’, which sees her portray Arlen in the production, and the star thinks her involvement in the fashion industry makes people assume she will only ever be cast in romantic comedies.
Speaking about her acting career, she said: “Coming from the fashion industry, maybe you’d expect me to be cast in romantic comedies or get parts that aren’t as cool as this one [‘The Bad Batch’] . ”
And Suki has revealed her favourite part of shooting the project was getting up close and personal with her co-star Jason Momoa.
She explained: “I got to ride on a motorbike with Jason Momoa in the desert, holding on to his huge rippling muscles. It was a highlight of my existence.”

Donatella Versace felt the pressure when she took over Versace

OHMYGOSSIP — Donatella Versace felt “99 per cent” of the world doubted her when she took over Versace.
The 62-year-old fashion designer was forced to take over as the head designer at the prestigious label when her late brother Gianni was shot dead outside of his Miami Beach mansion in July 1997, and the blonde businesswoman felt “the eyes of the whole world” on her to continue the brand’s successful legacy after losing her sibling.
Speaking to the Guardian Online, the creative mastermind said: “When my brother was murdered, I had the eyes of the whole world on me and 99 per cent of them thought I wasn’t going to make it.
“For the first five years, I was lost,” she says. “I made a lot of mistakes.”
And the fashion mogul has revealed she also doubted her ability, as she believed her brother was “the king”.
She added: “And maybe I thought the same, at first. My brother was the king, and my whole world had crashed around me.
“I was his doll and his best friend. He dressed me up in cool clothes, took me out to discos and clubs from when I was 11. I loved it. It was the best time of my life.”
Donatella has admitted if she was to relive that time in her life she would tell her younger self to “be strong” and to follow her own ideas instead of trying to be like Gianni because she has realised she was her brother’s muse and advised him on his creations.
She said: “I would say to myself: be strong, and stay true to yourself. Oh, there are a lot of things I would love to say! But most of all, follow your own instincts, and don’t try to be Gianni.
“I had been listening to everyone else, and then I realised, who was the person my brother listened to? Me. I worked with him every day. I was much more than a muse. It was a dialogue between us. We discussed everything.”
Meanwhile, the mogul – who has 31-year-old daughter Allegra, and 27-year-old son Daniel – has claimed she wasn’t born “fantastically beautiful” or tall, which is why she wears high heeled shoes “all the time”.
She said: “I was not born fantastically beautiful, but I always wanted to be impressive. So I bleach my hair blond, I wear high heels. I am 5ft 2in – me and Bruno Mars, the same – so I wear high heels all the time, to be tall.”
