Stella McCartney designs T-shirt range to support The Girl Project

OHMYGOSSIP — Stella McCartney has designed a limited edition of T-shirts to support The Girl Project.
The 46-year-old fashion designer has joined forces with Glamour magazine to create a range of exclusive garments to support the campaign, which aims to support girls’ education across the globe.
And the creative mastermind has revealed she wanted to make the garment because she wanted to help “empower women”.
Alongside an image of the businesswoman – who is the daughter of Sir Paul McCartney – wearing one of her designs, which she posted on her Instagram account, it read: ” WOMEN, POWER, LOVE! We’ve designed a special t-shirt for the new November #PoweredByWomen issue of @GlamourMag to encourage women to feel empowered, speak out, and love themselves.
With this t-shirt, we support #TheGirlProject – Glamour’s philanthropic initiative to support girls’ education. (sic).”
And Stella has revealed she wanted her range of T-shirts to “make a statement” that addresses the “rippling effects” around the world.
A statement read: “I wanted to design a T-shirt that empowers women and encourages them to look inside and to love themselves and others. I also wanted to make a statement that speaks to the rippling effects of what’s happening around the world. It’s time to speak out, woman to woman.”
Stella’s T-shirt will feature on all 17 editions of Glamour magazine on the November issue.
The mogul, who launched her eponymous fashion house in 2001, was told she wouldn’t have a successful brand, but the mogul ignored the advice and took on the challenge.
Speaking previously about the hurdles faced in her career, she said: “I was told many years ago that I wouldn’t have a business in accessories.
“I take it as a good challenge. If you can find that aesthetic in design and construct [the bags] in a way that’s mindful, responsible and conscious, then magic happens. Many conventional fashion houses kill animals for leather bags, but they still don’t have that success in design.”

Ashley Graham’s ‘own wardrobe’ inspired her Marina Rinaldi collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham’s denim collection with Marina Rinaldi was inspired by her “own wardrobe”.
The 29-year-old model has teamed up with the plus-size Italian fashion house on a range and the star has revealed items in the collection are based on “staple pieces” she owns, such as body-con dresses, pencil skirts, and tailored jackets, which they made in the denim fabric.
Speaking about her latest venture to E! News, the brunette beauty said: “I’ve been working with Marina Rinaldi for a few years and have always appreciated their mission to design quality and fashionable clothing for curvy women who are often ignored in the luxury space. I was excited when they approached me to design a capsule collection because I would be able to put my own spin on denim trends. We took staple pieces from my own wardrobe like body-con dresses, pencil skirts and structured jackets and made them in denim.”
But the catwalk icon has revealed her “hourglass figure” makes it difficult for her to find a pair of jeans that fit her perfectly, which is why she has refused to throw out a pair of black jeans with “huge holes”.
She explained: “The fit has to be perfect. I have an hourglass figure, so sometimes jeans fit my thighs and hips, but are too large in the waist, which is why stretch denim is my go-to. I also look for good coloring that won’t fade or wash out over time.
“[Ashley’s oldest pair of jeans] they are black with huge holes in the knees. The waist fits me so perfectly that I can’t give them up.”
But if Ashley decides to throw out items in her wardrobe she will make sure they go to a good cause and not straight in the bin.
She said: “I either give them to my family or donate to my local Salvation Army.”

Sylvia has revealed she was forced to undergo a gruelling fitness regime prior to starring in the American neo-noir science fiction film, which she appears in alongside Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, as she was forced to train with triathlete Lesley Paterson ahead of filming.
Speaking about her workout sessions and preparation for the production, she said: “She [Lesley] is this muscular little Scottish lady with a fierce attitude. The worst was cardio. It was insane. After two and a half hours you have to go on the bike and do HIIT training. My brain was screaming: ‘ I can’t do it any more!’ But I meet my character in that pain.”

Miranda Kerr plucked her eyebrows to help her concentrate

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr says plucking her eyebrows helped her to concentrate at school.

Speaking about her company, she said: “It was a big risk, but I decided that I just had to do it. I want Kora Organics to be a household name.
“All the products are filtered through rose quartz, which has been used for years to really help encourage love of yourself and love of others. When you’re using the products you get a little bit of that magic.”
Miranda – who married Evan Spiegel earlier this year – has revealed her new 15-piece collection has “positive words” emblazoned on the product to “uplift” her customer.
She said: “On the back of our products we have a positive word like ‘peace’, ‘love’ or ‘joy,’ which is hopefully uplifting to the user when they’re interacting with the product.
“There have been so many times in my life – everyday, actually – where I make the conscious choice to choose my thoughts and that they changes my reality.”
Meanwhile, Miranda has revealed she has a variety of meditation routines on her phone to help her relax.

Bella Hadid owns over 200 pairs of trainers

The 20-year-old model has admitted she has always been “obsessed” with shoes and she has built up an extensive collection of Nike footwear over the years, although she has had to give her mother, Yolanda Hadid, some of her Kanye West’s Yeezys, much to her disappointment.
Speaking in a video shared on Complex.com, the brunette beauty – who partnered with the sportswear giant last year – said: “I have always been obsessed with Nike my whole life. I never actually thought I would work with Nike.
“I really only have Nike’s in my closet, and there’s about 200 of those.
“My mom took those and I got really mad at her. I was like, those are some collectors’ s**t, you know?’
“When I moved to New York I signed with Nike, and I only wore Nike.”
The catwalk icon has revealed she has always been a fan of the brand ever since she was growing up and would wear trainers to school to “express” herself.
She said: “It’s funny Air force Ones growing up they were like my favourite things on the planet. I had every single colour customised because I always love paying for things myself. I couldn’t find Jordans, and they were always really expensive. I went to a private school for a year, and I had my uniform with my Air Force Ones and that’s kind of how I rolled. The sneakers were the statement piece because that’s how I could express myself.
“I’ve always been to Vans, high tops and low tops. Growing up it was always Vans, and Doc Martens, and low tops and Air Force Ones, and that was all I wore, and Converse.
“I love my shoes. I think sneakers are number one in fashion, if you have sicker sneakers it can either make or break your look, but everybody works really hard to make the best sneaker and I think that is what’s so cool about fashion. Basketball, rappers, models, everyone comes together to make the sickest shoes they possibly can.
“It is all about personality.”
Bella thinks the “hottest thing” anyone can wear is a pair of sleek shoes, and it is the “first thing” she takes note of when she sets her sights on a man.
The fashion muse – who previously dated The Weeknd – said: “For me, I feel like girls look so sexy in tennis shoes, I think it’s the dopest thing you could wear with a dress, or whatever you wanted, I think it’s the hottest thing a girl could wear.
“And sneakers on a man is definitely the first thing I look at. If you’re going to have a dope shoe that both guys and girls can wear – matching shoes that’s dope.”

Meanwhile, David has admitted he didn’t have a style icon when he was younger and it is only as he has matured he has looked up to the late Steve McQueen’s fashion sense.
When asked about his fashion muse, he said: “The person I have always looked to, maybe not when I was younger because when I was younger I didn’t have someone I looked up on that side of things, but later on I would have to say someone like Steve McQueen for his fashion sense, for the way he looks, for his hair style, everything about him was cool. So, for me, he looked great in a suit, he looked great in a t-shirt, jeans, riding a bike.”
