Sophie Turner relies on ’24 carat gold snail gel’ eye patches

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner wears “24 carat gold snail gel” eye patches.
The 21-year-old actress swears by the skincare product, which she has insisted is not “actually” made of the shelled gastropods, because she has “really bad circles” under her eyes and the item helps to brighten her under-eye area.
Speaking about her beauty hacks to Elle UK Online, the blonde-haired beauty said: “I have really bad circles under my eyes so I always put on these 24 carat gold snail gel eye patches. They’re not actually snails! I leave them for 20 minutes, take them off and it brightens my eyes completely. It’s amazing, I always, always use them.”
And the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ star has revealed though she owns “a lot” of beauty products, she doesn’t wear much make-up.
She explained:”I don’t wear a lot of make-up but I have a lot of make-up.”
Sophie – who recently announced her engagement to singer Joe Jonas – finds beauty and trend inspiration on social media, although she will not be trying the “father eyebrow” trend any time soon because she believes she doesn’t have “enough hair” on her brows.
She said: ” I find a lot of inspiration from Instagram – I really like to find looks that would work on me. I take a lot of pictures to my make-up artist and say, ‘Can we do something like this?’, and then they create a whole new look for me inspired by that. I love putting together moments like that, beauty moments.
“I saw that feather eyebrow thing but I don’t even have enough hair on my eyebrows to be able to do that! Like, that’s just insane. I’m all down for having nice eyebrows, brushing them up a bit, make them look bushier, but doing that feather thing where you split it down the middle? I mean that’s kind of crazy.”

Tommy Hilfiger to launch a disabled clothing line

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Hilfiger is set to launch a clothing line for disabled people.
The 66-year-old fashion designer – who launched his eponymous brand in 1985 – is reportedly expanding his label to include a fashion collection that has certain alterations and easy fastening details to suit the needs of the wearer, Bloomberg Online has reported.
The creative mastermind’s company, which is owned by PVH Corporations, will include adjusted seams and openings in the new garments, as well as magnetic and Velcro closures and adjustable leg openings, to ensure the products are easier for carers to change the customer and for the wearer to dress themselves.
And Tommy’s collection will be adapted from a previous childrenswear capsule he launched last year, as well as his sportswear line.
The niche range will include 37 menswear garments, and 34 womenswear items.
And the American businessman is set for a busy year ahead as he is also set to launch a ski line in partnership with the “ultimate” outerwear company Rossignol this month, which he has been eager to design for a “long time”.
Speaking previously Tommy said: “I’ve wanted to develop this capsule collection for a long time, and Rossignol was the ultimate partner to bring the concept to life in a really iconic way. With our shared values on quality, perfect fit and merging fashion with technical function, we’ve designed a signature red, white and blue collection that works from the ski slopes to the international metropolis.”
Tommy – who also has children Ally, Richard, Elizabeth, and Kathleen from his previous relationship with Susie Hilfiger, and has eight-year-old son Sebastian with his wife Dee Ocleppo – has admitted he is excited to create the masterpieces because skiing has always been a “passion” of his ever since he was a child.
He explained: “Skiing and winter sports have been a passion of mine since I was young.”

Elizabeth Olsen’s style muse is Diane Kruger

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Olsen wants to “switch wardrobes” with Diane Kruger.
The 28-year-old actress has admitted she “looks forward” to seeing what the 41-year-old fellow actress wears when she is out and about or at a star-studded event because she “genuinely” adores her style.
Speaking to InStyle magazine about her fashion muse, the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ star said: “I genuinely look forward to seeing what Diane Kruger wears. If I could switch wardrobes with anyone, it would be her.”
And the blonde-haired beauty has revealed she makes “Pinterest boards” based on her “favourite runway looks”.
Speaking about her inspiration, the ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ beauty said: “I create Pinterest boards with all my favourite runway looks, and this year I got to wear one from the Dior Haute Couture show. I didn’t even care that I was in a wool onesie in the middle of summer–I just felt so lucky when I put it on.”
Although Elizabeth is fashion savvy and likes to admire trends from “afar”, she doesn’t always wear the ensemble or trend herself because she isn’t used to wearing some of the “cooler” ensembles.
She explained: “I like trends from afar, but I don’t like applying them to my life. Every time that I’ve tried to get something that seems a little cooler than what I’m used to, I never wear it and end up giving it to Goodwill because I just don’t know what to do with it.
“Early on in my career, I tried to wear the hottest brands and whatever was assumed to be ‘the right thing’ for a young actress. Now I just want to feel like me. If that means wearing a shirt and skirt from my own closet to an event, then great.”
Elizabeth has revealed she has a select number of go-to garments, which include white blouses and red products, although she will avoid body-con ensembles.
Speaking about her fashion choices, she said: “Red is my go-to colour when I’m not wearing black, white, gray, or navy,” she said in an interview for InStyle’s November issue. “But I definitely feel like there’s a moment to do it on the red carpet. If I were in a movie with an ensemble of 12 people, I don’t know if I’d go walking out in a red look. I think it’s important to be in line with the other people that you’re working with.
“I’m not interested in trying to show off my shape in something body-con. I like to think outside the box. Pants are definitely in my comfort zone right now. I’ll also go for anything that’s secretly a romper.
“I can never resist buying white blouses. I like silky ones that are slightly sheer and not too stiff. My favourite is a vintage button-down that I bought at a thrift shop.
“When I’m working in Atlanta, I always go to the vintage store Paris on Ponce. I also love COS, Mohawk General Storein Los Angeles, and Heist in Venice.”

Kerry Washington motherhood made her embrace her natural hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington says motherhood forced her to embrace her natural hair.
The 40-year-old actress, who has Isabelle, three, and 12-month-old son Caleb with her husband Nnamdi Asomugha, has revealed she has embraced the “natural texture” of her curly locks since being a parent because she wants her children to love their hair in its original form.
Speaking to Allure magazine about her beauty choices, the ‘Confirmation’ star said: “I like to wear my natural texture, especially now because I have children and I want them to know that their hair is perfect as it is.”
Although Kerry wants to encourage her brood to embrace their aesthetic, she has no qualms if they want to experiment with different styles and straighten their ringlets if that is what they want to do.
She added: “They don’t have to change it or straighten it. They can, but they don’t have to.”
And the ‘Django Unchained’ star has hinted she disliked her hair and it is only as time has passed that she has grown to “like” her locks and she has stopped plying her hair with chemicals to relax it.
The Neutrogena creative consultant and style icon said: “I have grown to like my hair more and more over the years. I won’t have any chemicals in it. I stopped relaxing my hair in my early 20s.”
Kerry has revealed when she is on set filming for ‘Scandal’ her stylist will follow her around “all day long” to ensure not a single stray hair is out of place.
She explained: “There’s someone who follows me around all day long on the set. Like, literally follows me to make sure there’s not a single hair out of place. This is somebody’s full-time job.”

Rihanna added her own touch to her school uniform

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna used to experiment with her school uniform.
The 29-year-old singer come designer – who was announced as the creative director of Puma in 2014 and launched her own Fenty Beauty line earlier this year – would have loved to be recognised as “the best dressed” during her younger years, but she thinks when she was at school her style “wasn’t there yet”.
Speaking about her previous style choices at the launch of her school-friendly Fenty U collection, which has been reported on Vogue.com, the brunette beauty said: “I think I’d want best dressed, but I wasn’t there yet in terms of style. In high school, I stayed to myself. I was a loner.”
Although the ‘Work’ hitmaker doesn’t think her fashion sense was as well developed when she was a teenager as it is now, she still used to try to put her personal touch on her school attire.
She explained: “You would try to express yourself any way you could. [I’d] push it with an earring. You’re not allowed to wear huge earrings. I would try to push it with my hair with extensions and a little colour.
“It was not the cutest belt – it was in Barbados colours, blue and yellow stripes — [but] you could [define] your waist. Girls would constantly be adjusting their belt all day long!
“[And] my hem. I would take it up little by little so no one would notice.”
But the brunette beauty used to be reprimanded for breaking the school’s rules.
She added: “I got sent home a couple of times for doing that.”
Rihanna is not afraid to wear clothes she wants to wear, and she believes people have to be “committed” if they want to wear a more outrageous ensemble.
She said: “I love that you have to work to wear your outfit. You have to be committed.
“I’m really in love with the [Saint Laurent] oversized pink look. It was like a bubble and tiny skirt, and the skirt went into a point in the front and looked like she was wearing the top of her dress up. It was like a fuchsia cloud, but it was so beautiful to me because it’s so wrong.”

Ashley Graham’s mother gives her fashion advice

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham’s mother gives her fashion advice.
The 29-year-old model has admitted her parent, Linda, told her to co-ordinate her belt with her shoes and her handbag, and the fashion tip is the only piece of style knowledge that has stuck with her over the years.
Speaking to DKNY fashion designer Donna Karan about the best advice she has received in an interview with Elle magazine, the brunette beauty said: “Well, my mother always told me that my belt, my shoes and my purse had to match. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but I’ve never received advice that has stuck with me like that.”
But the style icon – who signed to Ford Model Management in 2003 – has learnt to wear outfits that make her feel empowered.
She added; “Something I’ve realised myself is that I have to wear what’s going to make me feel good.
“I love to wear and oversized men’s suit, but I love a bodycon dress, too. I know what doesn’t look good on me: a dropped seam, and that’s Ok.”
And Ashley has admitted when she started to “respect” herself and accept her curves her fashion sense “changed.”
She said: “I never hid it with clothing because I always felt sexy inside. The moment that I started respecting myself, my clothes changed.”
Ashley has partnered with lingerie brands Addition Elle, as well as Elomi lingerie, and the star has revealed she decided to create an underwear collection for selfish reasons.
Speaking about the venture, the idol – who is married to Justin Ervin – said: “We wanted something for ourselves, so we made it.
“Exactly, I wanted sexy supportive lingerie, so I created it.”

Julianne Hough’s fitness tips

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Hough makes up her own workout routines.
The 29-year-old actress often attends exercises classes, such as CorePower Yoga and spin sessions, as well as training with fitness experts Simone De La Rue and Tracy Anderson, but the ‘Safe Haven’ star will also call on her dance knowledge and make up her own regimes to stay fit.
Speaking about her exercise plan to Health.com, the blonde-haired beauty said: “I do, but I change it up. It’s not one specific trainer who does everything. I work with a trainer at Body by Simone or one at Tracy Anderson, or I’ll do SoulCycle or CorePower Yoga with different trainers. I’m a dancer, so I remember different combinations, so I’ll sometimes take what I’ve learned in classes and make my own workout.”
However, the star – who is married to Brooks Laich – has admitted she is not always “Miss Positive perfect girl” and often has days when she cannot be bothered to work out because she suffers with endometriosis, which is a condition where cells similar to the one in a woman’s womb collect in other areas of the body.
The ‘Dancing With The Stars’ professional explained: “Oh my gosh, totally. And that’s the thing – I do try to stay as positive as possible, and people always comment on that, but I also work at it. It’s not that I’m, like, Miss Positive perfect girl, wake up and everything’s sunshine and rainbows.
“No, I have my days for sure. The other day, I was having a major endometriosis “episode” is what I call them, and I was just quiet. [Endometriosis is when] the uterine lining is growing outside [the uterus]. It can look like a spiderweb, and what happens is it contracts and cramps. For me it’s an immediate sharp pain, like a stabbing sensation. It hurts so bad. It’s ongoing.
“So, trust me, I have my days. Sometimes I don’t want to work out, and so sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I’m just like, ‘I deserve a day off – I’m fine.’ But sometimes I’m like, ‘No, come on, I know I’m going to feel better afterward.’ The end result is always the best. There’s never been a time I’ve finished a workout and been like, ‘I totally regret doing that.'”
Although Julianne has admitted she never “regrets” working out, she has admitted she dreads exercising her legs.
She said: “Anything to do with inner or outer thighs – that’s my struggle point, so I’m always trying to work on that part of my body. I love doing abs and I love doing arms, so legs are always the hardest for me. But they’re the most rewarding.”

Alek Wek discusses her modelling career

OHMYGOSSIP — Alek Wek is still learning about the fashion industry.
The 40-year-old model – who embarked on a career in the industry aged 18 years old – has admitted she is “always discovering” new things about herself, and she has revealed she still has the same zest for her job as she did over 20 years ago.
Speaking to Elle magazine, the catwalk icon said: “I get to learn every time I do a story; I’m always discovering what works and that keeps me active.
“There’s a feeling you have when you’re young and you can’t wait to grow up; I’ve still got that feeling. I’ve matured a bit, but I still have that joy of youth.”
Alek has credited social media for propelling the fashion industry further and helping the industry to “move fast”.
The South Sudanese-British star explained: “Today, it’s all about ‘new faces’. You guys have to work so damn hard. Before, we looked forward to seeing the same people. We grew up together. Now, with social media, things move fast. But the industry is also coming back to those authentic values; people want photography shoots with substance, and social media also gives you a platform to hold designers if they’re not representing a diverse group of people.
“To me beauty is universal. It doesn’t matter what colour someone is, because we all cry the same, we all bleed the same, we celebrate family and friendships in the same way.”
But the style muse thinks it is a “lot harder” nowadays to “sweep bad behaviour under the rug” in the business.
She added: “It’s a lot harder to sweep bad behaviour under the rug.”
Alek also finds it interesting to observe budding models, who “climb over” other models, forge their career, as she has hinted they will not have longevity with their career.
She explained: “If a brand is doing something because it’s tokenistic or a gimmick, it always comes out. If models try to have instant gratification and climb over others, I say ‘Well time tells’.”

Elizabeth Hurley was never ‘obsessed’ with beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley was never “obsessed” with hair and make-up as a teenager.
The 52-year-old actress – who landed her first modelling job over 20 years ago aged 29 years old – has admitted she wasn’t bothered by her appearance when she was growing up and barely ever looked at herself in the mirror.
Speaking to The Daily telegraph newspaper, the brunette beauty said: “I wasn’t a teenager who was obsessed at that time with hair and make-up and looking in the mirror.”
And the model – who is the spokesperson for Estée Lauder, a title she has held since 1995 – has revealed she was “more self conscious” when she was younger, but ‘The Royals’ star doesn’t know why she was that way because she has acknowledged she had a “better body” in her thirties.
She added: “When I was younger, I was much more self conscious than I am now, which doesn’t make sense because, in retrospect, I had a better body 30 years ago. ”
Elizabeth – who is also known as Liz – has admitted she had even less time to perfect her appearance when she had her son Damian in 2002 with her former partner Steve Bing.
She explained: “When it’s just you, there is a lot more time to worry about yourself. Once there’s something else it just dissipates. You don’t really have much time to look in the mirror and ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ and pinch bits, because you’re busy.”
And Elizabeth thinks youngsters nowadays don’t “hog the bathroom” as much as they used to because of social media.
She said: “I think it’s just a teenage thing. They don’t have to look in the mirror for hours now and hog the bathroom, because they can just take selfies. It’s kind of the same thing. They have a retouching app – I think they grow out of it.”

Gigi Hadid’s Maybelline make-up line sells in under 90 minutes

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid’s Maybelline make-up line sold out in “less than 90 minutes”.
The 22-year-old model launched the Jetsetter Palette on Friday (13.10.17) as part of her Gigi Hadid x Maybelline capsule, after having been the face of the cosmetics giant for two years since 2015, and the star took to social media to announce how quickly her line was snatched up.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Stay tuned to @maybelline for launch dates for your country! (sic).”
The blonde-haired beauty – who is dating former One Direction band member Zayn Malik – has admitted she has “always” wanted to create her own make-up palette that she could take with her everywhere to complete her “light-everyday look quickly and easily” without spilling the entire contents of her beauty bag in public.
She explained: “INTRODUCING THE #GIGIxMAYBELLINE JETSETTER PALETTE: I always wanted a palette that I could throw right in my purse or travel bag and know I have everything to do a light-everyday look, quickly and easily. I didn’t want to have to open my makeup bag in the car or on a plane and take all the products out and worry about dropping anything or having somewhere to set it while I held my mirror. The Jetsetter Palette includes contour powder/bronzer, blush, powder highlight, concealer, lip gloss, eye shadow, black powder liner, a mini mascara, mini blush/contour and liner/eyeshadow brushes AND a mirror!!! (sic).”
Gigi has revealed she experiments with the various products in the palette, and will occasionally wear put the lipstick on her cheeks.
Speaking about her beauty hacks, she said: “I love mixing it up and using the lip as cheek tint, the eyeshadow to fill my eyebrows, blush on my eyelids, concealer as a nude lip base, etc. It’s the most luxurious touch-up ever!!!!!! Can’t wait to see how & where you use yours! (sic).”

Alessandra Ambrosio’s healthy hair hacks

OHMYGOSSIP — Alessandra Ambrosio used to make an avocado hair mask to keep her hair healthy.
The 36-year-old supermodel has admitted when she was younger she didn’t have access to certain beauty products and instead her mother, Lucilda, would make a concoction out of the fruit for Alessandra to put on her hair.
Speaking to Us Weekly about the treatment, the Victoria’s Secret Angel said: “Growing up in Brazil, we didn’t have all these amazing products back then. My mom would get avocados and natural oils and mix it together and put it in my hair.”
And the catwalk icon “loved” the DIY beauty session because she enjoyed the quality time with her parent.
She explained: “I loved doing it because it was mother, daughter time and I felt like I was in a salon.”
Alessandra has revealed she now carries out the procedure on her nine-year-old daughter Anja.
The star – who also has five-year-old son Noah – said: “She likes when I do hairstyles on her. I’ll put the treatment butter on her hair and then do a braid and put it up.”
Although Alessandra nourished her hair a lot when she was younger, she has hinted her career has taken its toll on her dark tresses.
She said: “After years of blowdrying, teasing and doing all kinds of things to my hair, all I want is for it to be healthy. My friends at home have healthy hair because they don’t put theirs through the stress that mine goes through. I need to have the best product to bring it back to life.
“Sometimes I have to shampoo twice in one day because of work. I know it’s not good for your hair and people say it’s better to shampoo every other day, but in my case since I work every day and they use so much hairspray and product on my hair, I have to wash it everyday.”

Cindy Crawford opens up about Versace catwalk show last month

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Crawford felt “20 years just dissolved” when she walked in the Versace catwalk show last month.
The 51-year-old supermodel graced the runway for the Italian brand’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection on September 22, which marked 20 years since the murder of Donatella Versace’s brother Gianni Versace in 1997, and Cindy has admitted when she stepped foot on the runway her and fellow models were “choked up”.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight Canada’ about the star-studded show, which also saw style icons Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni and Helena Christensen reunite on the platform, Cindy said: “It was such a great tribute to Gianni. Those 20 years just dissolved and then when we walked off the runway, everyone got a bit choked up.”
The style muse also starred in the show alongside her 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber, who made her Fashion Week debut this year, and Cindy has admitted she is “so proud” of her child’s success.
Speaking about her brood, Cindy – who also has 18-year-old son Presley with her husband Rande Gerber – said: “I’m just proud of the young woman that she’s becoming, just the way she handles herself. I was excited for her because this is a dream that she’s had and it just happened in the nicest way possible.”
However, the fashion idol warned Kaia about a career in the fashion industry and told her it would be very “exhausting”.
Speaking previously, Cindy said: “I’m chaperoning her. I’m not gonna be at every show, but I hope she understands how exhausting your first show can be.
“My advice to her – and it would be the same if she was going off to college or taking a job in a clothing store – is be on time, be professional, don’t be a diva, get off your phone.
“You’re around these incredibly talented people, soak up information, listen, watch, keep your eyes open, be present, and enjoy it. Have fun. It’s fashion.”

Rihanna thinks social media is ‘the death of all trends’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna thinks social media is “the death of all trends.”
The 29-year-old singer thinks Instagram is killing the fashion industry, as she believes as soon as a popular style is seen on the photo-sharing site it is “too late” and she then dislikes the look.
Speaking to The Cut about the fashion business, the brunette beauty said: “Instagram is the death of all trends. Once it gets there, it’s too late. It’s gone. I’m so over it. I can’t; I can’t deal.”
The ‘Work’ hitmaker has revealed her fashion sense will vary because of her “fluctuating body type”, and she has to “really pay attention every day” when she is getting ready to make sure she selects something that suits her shape.
She said: “I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day — the next week — I need something oversized; I need a little crop here and a high-waist there to hide that part, you know?
“I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what’s working for my body that morning. I feel like that’s how everyone should go after fashion, because it’s an individual thing. And then, if you take it further, it’s like: What week are you having? You having a skinny week? You having a fat week? Are we doing arms this week? We doing legs this week? We doing oversized?
“I love to play with silhouettes as well, but I think it’s important to make sure that you wear the thing that works for your body the best, and that’s flattering.”
And Rihanna – who is currently dating billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel – has admitted she loves a “man in black” because she thinks the colour makes them look “so sexy and mysterious”, although she doesn’t like the socks and sandals trend.
Speaking about the outfits she finds attractive on men, she said: “I love a man in black. It’s so sexy and mysterious; confident and secure — all the things I love about a man. So, I’m into that.
“I’m from the islands, so we don’t wear socks with shoes, especially sneakers. But it depends on the man. Like, I don’t want to see my boyfriend wearing flip-flops when he’s going to an event.”

Liam Payne designs trainer

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne has customised his own pair of trainers.
The ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker has collaborated with Vodafone’s new mobile service VOXI to test his hand at designing, which saw him co-create a “lovely” item of footwear with Graffiti Kings Artist Julien Beever.
Speaking about his recent venture, the 24-year-old singer said: “So today I am here at the launch of the new mobile offering Voxi.
“We have co-created a lovely pair of trainers. It is definitely something I think I may have to do in my spare time now.”
As part of the project the One Direction band member was given a plain white pair of trainers and was asked to add his own twist to them during his “scribbling” session with Julien in a one-to-one graffiti masterclass.
The artist said: “Today we are scribbling on some shoes with Liam.”
Liam – who has six-month-old son Bear with his partner Cheryl Tweedy – has hailed former England football captain, David Beckham, and ‘Happy’ hitmaker Pharrell Williams as his style icons, because he thinks both muses are free to experiment with their style however they desire.
The ‘History’ vocalist said: “David Beckham has always been a style icon for me, he is great. I think he dresses really well and just does what he wants. And Pharrell as well, Pharrell is super cool because he just owns every single outfit that he puts on. He just does what he wants and that’s what fashion should be about, just enjoying yourself.”
And Liam believes the most “important thing” for everyone, whether they are in the fashion or music business, is to collaborate, and he has revealed he often takes inspiration from other people, which he “mashes up” to create his own unique product.
He said: “Collaboration is the most important thing. There is not many people in the world who can sit and make music by themselves, I mean you do see some amazing people on the internet these days. Go with your instinct. Take from other people what they do and try to mash up to do your own thing. I think when you are a singer you become a mixture of all your favourite artists.”
Liam’s fans can be in with a chance of getting their hands on the one-of-a-kind creation, but all they need to do is follow the new @VOXI_UK Twitter channel and retweet the giveaway post. For terms and conditions check online at https://blog.vodafone.co.uk/liam-x-voxi/

Tommy Hilfiger was inspired by Tommy Nutter

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Hilfiger’s career was inspired by the late tailor Tommy Nutter.
The 66-year-old fashion designer – who founded his eponymous brand in 1985 – has admitted the British creative mastermind’s “irreverent approach” to creating suits largely influenced him, especially when he realised Nutter – who passed away in 1992 – styled rock groups.
Speaking about his earliest memory of his idol – who had his own clothing brand named Nutters of Savile Row – to ES magazine, the American businessman said: “I remember visiting Savile Row [in London] in the 1970s and seeing the incredible designs of Tommy Nutter, who was dressing a lot of the rock groups. His irreverent approach to tailoring has always inspired me.”
And the mogul has revealed the late artist Andy Warhol also encouraged him to find a career he truly “loves”.
When asked what the best piece of advice he has ever received, Hilfiger said: “When I once asked Andy Warhol why he did what he did, he replied, ‘Because I like it.’ I’ve never forgotten this, it shows how important it is to do what you love.”
However, Hilfiger believes musicians have been “more influential” in the fashion business than designers.
He explained: “In many cases, musicians like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Madonna have been more influential in the world of fashion than designers.”
Hilfiger is constantly jetting across the globe to host catwalk shows or exhibitions, but he enjoys nothing more than enjoying some quality time with his family, including wife Dee Ocleppo, sailing his yacht named Flag.
He said: “My yacht Flag, which I love to sail along the coast of Italy and the south of France with Dee and the children. I really value the time I get to spend with my family.”

Victoria Beckham opens up about fashion career

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham felt “quite naïve” embarking on a career in the fashion industry.
The 43-year-old singer and fashion designer launched her eponymous brand in 2008, but the brunette beauty has admitted she was “not as scared” as she should have been when she started her label, although she was aware that the public had “preconceptions” about her and her new career venture.
Speaking on the Vogue Forces of Fashion Panel, the Spice Girls band member – who has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old daughter Harper with her husband David Beckham – said: “I was very aware that people had preconceptions. I was a Spice Girl, I was married to a footballer, so I was aware, but I was probably [also] quite naive going into the fashion industry. I wasn’t as scared as I would be if I went in knowing what I know now.”
But the creative mastermind has admitted she “put everything” into her “new career”, which saw her set up her label with two assistants.
She explained: “I really put everything into this; it was a new career for me and I had a vision. I surrounded myself with the right people, which, when I started was just two people – one girl working with me on the design and another on the production. It was very different from what other people had done; I wasn’t a celebrity with a licensing deal.
“It was all about being focused, honest, and doing it in an incredibly humble way.”
And Victoria knew when she was starting out she wanted to have her own unique stamp on her garments and not “copy” any other designer’s work.
She explained: “I wasn’t trying to copy what anyone else was doing – I knew what I wanted as woman who loves luxury, loves fashion. [I thought,] What was missing from my wardrobe?
“If I can’t do it well there’s no point in my doing it.”
