Lauren Conrad gives reason behind cropped bob

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Conrad cut her hair because she doesn’t have “time for a lot of hair”.
The 31-year-old style icon has recently chopped her blonde locks in favour of a long bob hairstyle, which the ‘The Hills’ alumni decided to do because she doesn’t have enough hours in a day to spend taming her tresses, especially after giving birth to her son Liam in July this year.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her makeover, the blonde-haired beauty – who is married to William Tell – said: “Yeah, I just cut it off. Honestly, it’s more of a time saver. I have to blow dry my hair while my son is napping and it doesn’t always last that long so less hair is less time. I don’t have time for a lot of hair.”
And Lauren recruited the help of hairstylist Kristin Ess to carry out the beauty overhaul when she invited the style expert to her home to cut her hair.
She continued: “Kristin is so sweet. She’s been coming to my house for appointments just because it’s hard for me to get out and I just asked her to cut it all off.
“Kristin doesn’t do mom cuts. She cuts moms’ hair. But I don’t think she wants me to call any haircut she does a mom cut.”
The fashion designer – who boasts a string of brands including LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown – previously vowed never to hack off her hair again, which is why her spouse was puzzled when she underwent the transformation, although she can’t remember making the promise.
Asked why she opted for the look, even though she insisted she wouldn’t have a cropped do again, Lauren said: “I’m sure I said that. William [Tell] said that, too. He said, ‘Why are you cutting your hair? You said you weren’t going to do it again.’ I was like ‘I did?'”

Maria Grazia Chiuri gives advice to budding designers

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Grazia Chiuri has urged budding designers not to “stop dreaming”.
The 53-year-old fashion designer – who was announced as the creative director of Christian Dior last year – believes the key to a creative mastermind’s success is to aim high and not give up on their dream of breaking the fashion business.
Speaking to Vogue.com about her tips for the next generation of designers, the mogul said: ” I think it’s important that you believe in yourself and you dream. Even when it’s difficult, don’t stop dreaming. You have to believe in yourself to work hard and to learn to work with other people.”
And the star thinks it is vital for a designer to strike up a “dialogue with women” and respect their customers if they hope to have longevity with their career.
Maria continued: “I think that a designer now is someone who has a dialogue with women, not someone that imposes a point of view. I can give my point of view, but the women can choose how they want to use, in a personal way, what I do.
“If you want to improve a brand you have to know your past and you have to find a balance between your past and your point of view to move the brand into the future.”
Prior to helming the French luxury label the star worked at Valentino with Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Maria has admitted she found it “very fun” working with her former business partner.
She said: “It was very fun to work together; it was a beautiful adventure. There was an opportunity to test ourselves alone, and I think that was a good opportunity for both of us. I want to say that we work, and I work, in a team. The stereotype of the designer alone in a room, now, is not true . . . . There is a huge team at Dior.”

Charlotte Olympia Dellal opens up about her career

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Olympia Dellal always wanted to change the view that men were “the Kings of footwear”.
The fashion designer – who launched her eponymous footwear and accessories brand Charlotte Olympia in 2008 – has admitted she “always thought” females should produce heeled shoes because they are the main buyer of stilettos.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, the blonde-haired beauty said: “Men always used to be the kings of footwear – and I always thought it should be women because, after all, we’re the ones wearing the heels.”
And the creative mastermind believes the fashion business has “come a long way” since she first started her career because there are more recognised female designers.
She said: “Fashion has come a long way in terms of female progression since I started. These days, when I’m asked about my favourite designers, the names I come up with are female and it’s not on purpose. Miuccia Prada, Isa Arfen, Emilia Wickstead, Roksanda … there are lots of strong female designers leading the way.
“Before I started there were no new footwear designers – it was Nicholas Kirkwood and me, really – and then lots of students started taking up accessories design. As they should. It should be a thing.”
The mogul has revealed she is trying to “delegate” her work load out to her colleagues, btu she finds it difficult because she is easily annoyed by “avoidable mistakes”.
Speaking about her pet hates, she said: “I try to apply the learnings of every season into the next season – and I have had to learn to delegate. There is no point in growing a business if you don’t. But I never let go 100 per cent; if it’s your baby then nobody else cares as much.
“I’m a pain in the arse, even when it comes to checking line sheets! Avoidable mistakes annoy me. Of course there are bumps along the way, but you live and learn and laugh afterwards – it’s never the end of the world because at the end of the day it’s only shoes. When things really go wrong I tend to be quite calm.”

Matt Le Blanc used to dye his hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Le Blanc used to dye his hair when he was on ‘Friends’.
The 50-year-old actor has admitted he noticed the signs of ageing during the second season of the popular American sitcom, which last aired in 2004, but he was keen to colour his locks to avoid grey hairs from showing through.
Speaking on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, the star – who was known for playing the role of Joey Tribbiani in the NBC programme – he said: “I started getting grey hair on the sides, and they started dying it.
“Finally, I said to the hair guy, ‘You know, I was in the supermarket the other day, and they have this stuff called Just for Men, it [takes] five minutes. Is it the same stuff? Because it takes you two hours and can I do it with this stuff, five minutes at my house.”
“[The hairstylist replied] ‘It’s the same stuff.'”
Matt decided to try out the hair product, but suffered a slight mishap as his ears ended up being tinted black.
He explained: “Cut to me in the shower, shampooing and the next day my ears are all black.”
But Matt decided to ditch the beauty product to embrace being a silver fox.
Asked why he stopped dying his hair, he simply said: “I couldn’t be bothered anymore.”
Meanwhile, Matt has revealed he is ready to enter early retirement now he has reached the milestone, because he would love nothing more than to sit back and not do a “f***ing thing”.
Speaking previously, he said: “I would love that. I would like to retire earlier than later, because I think I would like to do not a f***ing thing. That’s what I would like to do. Just nothing. Nothing! Zero.
“On a typical day, you would sleep as long as you want … or get up early, if you want. It’s just not having to go somewhere, or someone else telling you what you have to do. Maybe you go to the gym, or not go to the gym. Maybe you have nine cups of coffee, or none.”

Emmy Rossum doesn’t own ‘any’ lip glosses

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmy Rossum doesn’t own “any” lip glosses.
The 31-year-old actress has admitted she prefers a “natural” aesthetic, and she doesn’t like to wear the sticky lip substance, or foundation, because she dislikes the feeling when her hair gets stuck on the cosmetic product.
Speaking to Byrdie Beauty about her cosmetic essentials, the ‘The Day After Tomorrow Star’ – who is the face of Burt’s Bees Beauty – said: “I used to do [my own make-up] a lot for red carpet, but now I do it more for every day because sometimes I get help. I usually like to start with a pretty natural look. During the day, I don’t use foundation – usually I just use a little cover-up, a pop of a bright pink blush. I don’t like lip gloss – I really don’t even own any lip gloss. I don’t like anything that’s going to kind of stick to my hair.”
Although the brunette beauty regularly applies her make-up herself, she doesn’t think she is “particularly good” at perfecting a “bold eye” look.
She continued: “I like to keep it pretty fresh and natural, and blending is everything, I think. I’m not particularly good at one thing. I can definitely do any pop of lipstick, but I’m not particularly good at any bold eye, so I just kind of keep things pretty minimal structurally and clean.”
Although Emmy doesn’t like to overload foundation on her skin, she does like to go overboard on rose-coloured blusher because she is a “blush junkie”.
The New York-born star – who is married to Sam Esmail – said: “I’m kind of a blush junkie, I’ve never been one to shy away from a bright cheek because I think it’s the first thing that can make you look immediately awake. I really like the blush.”
Emmy has revealed she also treats herself to a facial “every six to eight weeks” because she works closely with a Los Angeles based facialist.
She said: “I work with a facialist in L.A. named Shani Darden and one here in New York named Nachi who works at Mist Beauty, and so I pretty much get a facial every six to eight weeks and that kind of keeps me at a base level. Because I think of your skincare as a computer hard drive and your makeup is all the apps that you play with, but if your hard drive isn’t running very well, you can’t really play with any of the apps, so I think skincare is half of make-up. I always use SPF, eye creams–I use retinol from Shani. And other than that, I keep it pretty simple. ”

And the star is pleased Gurls Talk has inspired other women, as she “never would have dreamed in a million years” it would have the reception it has received.
She explained: “It is literally everything I ever needed when I was at school. I’m past school, and past all of that and I got out of those dark holes, but I have created something I have always wanted./ but I never would have dreamed in a million years that would have young girls coming up to me at Glastonbury, in the streets of LA, New York, London, and telling me how much Gurls Talk means to them, or how much seeing my picture in a magazine as a woman of colour. It’s really cool.”
And Adwoa – who has modelled for prestigious brands including Calvin Klein, DKNY, and Alexander Wang – feels “100 per cent” empowered and fabulous in the fashion business.
Asked how she feels about being a successful female in 2017, she said: “100 per cent empowering and fabulous. You have this knowing and understanding that we are all in it together.”

Fergie thinks her style is ‘all over the map’

OHMYGOSSIP — Fergie thinks her style is “all over the map”.
The 42-year-old singer – whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson – has admitted her fashion choices are constantly changing “like [her] music”, but the ‘Glamorous’ hitmaker has no qualms about experimenting with various wardrobe pieces because she likes to “take risks”.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her aesthetic, the vocalist – who has four-year-old son Axl with her former partner Josh Duhamel – said: “It’s all over the map just like my music. It’s a mood. I like to have fun with fashion and take risks. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t but I have fun with it and I like to always feel good in what I’m wearing.”
But the Black Eyed Peas band member thinks it is most important that an outfit doesn’t take over and “wears you”.
Speaking about her fashion mantra, she said: “You got to wear the outfit and not let the outfit wear you.
“So if I’m wearing something that is extravagant, I’m owning it.”
Fergie has revealed 52-year-old Giovanni Bianco – who has worked with fashion houses including Versace and Miu Miu – for helping her get “back in touch” with her “tomboy” style and her “hard side”.
Speaking previously, the ‘Fergalicious’ star said: “Giovanni really helped me get back in touch with my tomboy side, my hard side, because I had [son] Axl … had done the music and I was fine in the studio, but he was like, ‘You know what, you have this thing inside of you – you have kitten, and that is very natural, but you also have the boyish side.'”
“Because having a son [I was] very motherly, but it was about pulling that tough side of me back out.”

Carrie Underwood plans outfit changes ahead of the CMA Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood has had to plan her outfit changes ahead of the CMA Awards on Wednesday (08.11.17).
The 34-year-old singer is set to host the 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards tomorrow, which will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, has admitted she has found some “great looks” for the bash, and she is desperately trying to plan when to wear each ensemble to make sure she has enough time to dress herself and make it back on stage to present.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her styling preparation ahead of the music extravaganza, the blonde-haired beauty said: “Looking through one of many racks in my dressing room backstage at Bridgestone Arena. Found some great looks for Wednesday night.
“When we get the running order of the show, we’re like, ‘Okay these are complicated so we’re going to need more time,’ so we try to just plan where things that might need a little more time get a little more time.”
However, the ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker has revealed not all of her garments are hard to get into as some clothes take her under five minutes to slip into.
She said: “And there are easy changes, like, ‘Oh, we have five minutes, that’s a lifetime in TV-quick-change world. We make the time count.”
Carrie has set the record for a rapid backstage change as in 2012 she managed to dress herself in “40 seconds”, but she has admitted in the dress rehearsal the make-over was more problematic.
She recalled: “That 40-second quick change we tried in rehearsal because it was such a fast change, and I run backstage and someone holds a sheet up and I busted a zipper in rehearsal. And everybody was worried I was not going to make it back out for the actual show and I was like, ‘It’s okay, we’ll fix the zipper.’ The zipper was one of those little hidden, flimsy plastic zippers. So they trusted me and we made it work. But during the entire run-through I had to hold the back of my dress shut.”

Gigi Hadid collaborates with Stuart Weitzman on new shoe line

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid is set to release a new footwear line with Stuart Weitzman this month.
The 22-year-old model collaborated with the 76-year-old fashion designer on a shoe line last year, and the blonde-haired beauty is set to team up with the mastermind again on another collection, which will be available to buy on November 15.
The upcoming capsule will include exclusive mules, Eyelove and Eyelovemore, when they launch next week.
A new short film starring the style muse will also drop at the same time.
And the brand has urged fans to sign up to their newsletter if they want to get their hands on the limited edition designs.
The Stuart Weitzman website reads: “Be the first to shop the limited-edition Gigi mules, the EYELOVE and the EYELOVEMORE, and preview the short film starring Gigi Hadid, launching November 15th.
Sign up to get on the VIP list now. (sic).”
Although the catwalk icon has starred in a number of fashion campaigns for the label prior to co-creating the Gigi Boot, she has admitted making the design was “harder to execute” than she thought.
Speaking previously, she said: “I was really thinking of myself in New York, running around everywhere during the day and at night.
“I was always able to come up with the look for the shoe in my brain, but they were a bit harder to execute than clothing. These designs have the ability to go from sexy to sporty, and they have an agility to them but a gracefulness at the same time.”
However, Gigi was able to put a “unique, personal spin” on the designs because of her “creative vision”.
A spokesperson for the label said: “[Gigi was] inspired by the brand’s stellar boot reputation, but used her creative vision to put a unique, personal spin on the lace-up bootie silhouette.”

The 28-year-old model – who has recently chopped off her long locks and has donated seven inches of her locks to the Little Princess Trust to use for wigs – has admitted she tries to avoid washing her tresses for as long as she can, and she relies on dry shampoo to “solve” any “problems” that come from leaving her hair.

The confidence it gives to the kids is priceless.
“I leave my hair for as long as I can before washing it – usually every four days.”
And when asked about her essential beauty products, the fashion icon said: “My top three beauty tips are: one, dry shampoo solves most problems; two, sometimes make-up looks better after you’ve slept in it; and three, always use lip balm for super soft lips.”
And the star also relies on “strengthening” haircare products, as well as “anti-snap” serums and other “good quality tools” to ensure her hair is in good condition.
She added: “I use a strengthening shampoo and conditioner to maintain the strength and I think it is very important to use anti-snap serums if your hair has been bleached.
“Also, always use good quality tools like GHD. I use the GHD Air Pink Blush Hairdryer, which is great. And i generally take care with my hair.
“I’m always gentle with it, I don’t use high temperatures when using hear styling and I never brush vigorously.”

Manolo Blahnik is a ‘doodler’ rather than a designer

OHMYGOSSIP — Manolo Blahnik considers himself a “doodler” rather than a designer.
The 74-year-old creative mastermind – who launched his eponymous designer label in the late 1970s – has admitted his “first job” when he was younger was simply to draw, and he hasn’t stopped sketching new designs ever since.
Speaking to Elle.com about his career, the mogul said: “I’m a doodler. It was my first job as a boy, and I still do it. At night I keep a block of paper and a pencil with a huge piece of string next to me. When I have an idea, I grab the string and just doodle.”
And the businessman – who has recently worked with Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna – underestimates his ability as a designer, because he thinks his creations are simply “okay”.
Asked about his thoughts on his products, he said: “I think I make shoes quite okay.”
Although Manolo has been in the fashion business for almost 50 years, he didn’t realised he was a successful designer until he started noticing celebrities wearing his footwear.
He explained: “When I saw my shoes on somebody I love very much, Jerry Hall. She was wearing them – and I didn’t even know her – but I stopped the car, ran out, kissed her, and said, ‘My God! It’s incredible seeing you.’ My mother was with me and was embarrassed.”
Manolo has revealed he has kept hold of sentimental items including objects his late mother gave him. As well as the first suit he ever made, even though he thinks it is “disgusting.
Asked about his favourite possessions, he said: “My first suit that I made – acid green. It was disgusting, but I love it. It’s been mended a million times, but I still wear it.
“The things my mother gave me, because she’s not here any longer. I used to be blond, and when I was young, she gave me a little lock of my hair and said, ‘You’re white now, and someday you’ll be white again, too.’ I love that thing.”

Nina Nesbitt’s style icon is Debbie Harry

OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Nesbitt’s style icon is Debbie Harry.
The 23-year-old singer and songwriter has admitted the 72-year-old music legend’s music and fashion sense resonated with her when she was younger, because she felt the Blondie band member fashion sense was a mix of being “girly” but “more punk” with “an edge and an attitude”.
Speaking to The Debrief about the ‘Rush Rush’ hitmaker, the Scottish star said: “I resonated with [Debbie’s music and fashion style] because it wasn’t just girly, it was more punk, and it had more of an edge and an attitude.”
Nina loves the fact people can “express themselves” through the garments they wear, but she has admitted she would never have “the balls” to pull off the outfits Lady Gaga wears.
The ‘The Best You Had’ artist said: “Fashion and music go hand-in-hand: it’s so important to build your own brand, as your image is just as important as your music – [artists like] Lana Del Ray have really shown that. I wouldn’t have the balls to do a Lady Gaga style, but I love that people can express themselves through fashion.”
Although Nina believes fashion and music go “hand-in-hand” she has admitted her style didn’t complement her music, which has encouraged her to change her style to reflect her songs.
She explained: “I was wearing leather studded jackets, but I was playing acoustic folk music, so it was quite a weird mix. People must have looked at me and thought, ‘she must be in a rock band’. So for my second album, I’ve definitely made a conscious effort for everything to be really cohesive.
“There is more pressure on us [women] to have a ‘look’, especially when you’re trying to establish yourself [in the industry]. But, I think that as long as you have a distinct voice and personality, you can kind of dress how you want.
“[Nina used to be] very against wearing anything sexy – I thought people would judge my music or judge me. But I think as you grow up, you realise that actually, if you want to dress sexy there’s nothing wrong with that – it’s your prerogative as a woman to dress however you want. Now that I’ve grown up, I’ve realised that it’s alright to feel powerful and attractive. You don’t have to dress yourself down.”

Speaking previously about Kate Moss Agency, she said: “I’ve got a maternal side and I’d like to take care of them and nurture them so they grow to their full capacity in anything they’d like to do, instead of being used up and tossed out, because I think that can happen a lot with things working so quickly.”
And Kate has revealed she too received guidance and support from her friend and fellow model Naomi Campbell when she was young, and the brunette beauty would always encourage Kate to “calm down”.
She said: “Naomi took complete care of me. She’d say, ‘Calm down.’ I think because you’re alone a lot of the time, you really need guidance. Even now you’re expected to do anything to get the picture, and that’s a work ethic, but you also need a support system.”

She explained: “I love getting facials and doing infrared therapy. It gets rid of breakouts and stimulates collagen too.”
Olivia recently received the Revolve Award for Beauty Influencer of the Year, and she has admitted she is “very flattered” to have picked up the gong because she does her best to “inspire” people with her social media platforms.
She said: “Being nominated for the Revolve Award for Beauty Influencer of the Year is very flattering. I love being able to use my platform to inspire people to feel good about themselves in the beauty and fashion space. There are definitely times where I don’t want to post something because I know it will shock my followers, but I’ve gotten better about letting that go and letting there be a learning curve. It’s important to show people new things, take risks and be different.
“I enjoy posting a sexy picture every once in a while and celebrating my body makes me feel good, but I don’t think I could ever do a post that is totally nude.”

Daisy Ridley’s red carpet gown took 65 hours to create

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley’s gown for the world premiere of ‘Murder on The Orient Express’ took 65 hours to create.
The 25-year-old actress – who portrays Mary Debenham in the mystery movie based on the late Agatha Christie’s classic novel of the same name – adorned a custom-made Vivienne Westwood dress to the star-studded premiere of the film, which took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on November 2.
Daisy and her stylist enlisted the help of Westwood’s designer Andreas Kronthaler to create the piece, which took a team of three people over three days to perfect because over “40 metres” of various coloured tulle fabric was used.
Speaking about the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ star’s show stopping attire to Vogue.com, the creative mastermind said: “The meticulous layering of 40 meters of emerald green, violet, and soft ballet pink fine tulle and organza was [done] to create a delicate and mysterious gown paying homage to the glamour of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.”
And the masterpiece was inspired by “the mysterious and unique” shade of Daisy’s eyes.
Kronthaler added: “The gown is inspired by the mysterious and unique colour of Daisy’s eyes.”
Kronthaler has admitted he is “very happy” with the outcome and thinks the dress looked “so lovely” on the brunette beauty, who swept her dark locks up in a neat bun to ensure all eyes were on her ensemble.
He said: “Daisy looked so lovely in her emerald green gown. We are very happy to have created this especially for her.”

Speaking at the red carpet event, she said: “It was amazing and what was more amazing was that everyone was absolutely lovely. I did feel really part of something.
“There were points I was like there’s no way I was going to get this job, I’m not good enough.
