Cara Delevingne speaks out in support of anti-harassment initiative

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne has pledged her support to a new anti-harassment initiative.
The 25-year-old model has signed up to the Time Up campaign, which offers support to women who have experienced harassment, and she has spoken out in support of the movement on Instagram.
Sharing a promotional image of the campaign on Instagram, Cara wrote: “The time has come! I signed this letter of solidarity to stand with with women across every industry in saying #timesup The @timesupnow legal defense fund provides subsidized legal support across industries to those who have experienced sexual assault, harassment, assault, or in the workplace. Join me and the other incredible woman. Read the letter, sign and donate. Link in bio (sic)”
The Hollywood harassment scandal was sparked last year following a string of allegations made against producer Harvey Weinstein.
And in October, Cara alleged she was harassed by Weinstein when she first moved into the acting business.
She wrote in an Instagram post: “As soon as we were alone, he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature. He then invited me to his room.
“I quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasn’t and wouldn’t be for a bit and I should go to his room.
“At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn’t want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation.”

Gigi Hadid feels ‘humbled’ by 2017

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid feels “humbled” by her successes in 2017.
The 22-year-old model has taken to her Instagram account to reflect on her year and to wish her 37.5 million followers a happy 2018.
Alongside a collage of her various magazine covers from the last 12 months, Gigi wrote: “Starting 2018 very grateful and humbled for what 2017 brought me. Beyond these photos are experiences and friendships that are far more meaningful than I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you to everyone who made each of these opportunities so special to me, you have impacted my life beyond the surface and I am honored & touched reminiscing on the year… I can’t wait to create more in 2018 and wish everyone a New Year filled with the love and light you all deserve ! BIG LOVE xG (sic)”
This comes shortly after Gigi revealed she is “happy” when she wears yellow.
The American star said she feels like a character when she gets dressed and she believes what she wears can have an impact on her outlook for that day.
Gigi explained: “I like feeling like a character when I get dressed. I feel like it gives me a bit of power and helps give you an essence of who you can be that day.
“For 2018 I’m really into colour. Whichever colour is the one that makes you smile when you wake up in the morning is the one for you that day.
“Yellow is the colour that always makes me happy.”

Iggy Azalea is on ‘freestyle diet’

OHMYGOSSIP — Iggy Azalea has joked she’s on a “freestyle diet.”
The ‘Fancy’ hitmaker has admitted she can’t stop stuffing her face with grub since the festive period but, rather than put herself on a strict cleanse now that 2018 is in full swing, she’s quipped that she’s going to continue to eat whatever she wants.
Taking to her Twitter account, the blonde beauty said of her and her friend – who is also called Iggy – “Me & Iggy keep seeing some diet being advertised on TV with people eating basically anything and saying they’re “freestyling” now I can’t stop eating stuff and saying “I’m on a freestyle diet” (sic)”
However, although her healthy eating has gone out of the window, the 27-year-old rapper has decided to take her skincare very seriously and has been smothering her legs in tropical-scented oils to keep her curvaceous pins silky smooth.
But the delicious smell has attracted her pet pooches and they’ve been following her around trying to lick off the sticky moisturiser she’s smothered on her ankles.
She explained: “Sometimes when I rub tropical scented oil on my legs my dogs follow me around tryna lick my ankles. (sic)”
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty – who is known for her trim waist and pert derriere – recently admitted that she managed to lose 15lbs by twerking – a booty-shaking move – while practicing the routine for the music video of her hit track ‘Mo Bounce’.
She said at the time: “I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song. I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimply dressed.”
Iggy – whose full name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly – has hinted dancing doesn’t come naturally to her and she had to have some assistance to help her perfect her twerking.
She said: “I did take classes. I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking, and she helped me. I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff.”

Lara Stone doesn’t brush hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Lara Stone doesn’t brush her hair when she’s not working.
The 33-year old model tries to give her tresses as much of a break as she possibly can during her down time because they are subjected to so much heat and styling products when she’s got a job.
She said: “I try to avoid heat styling when I’ m not working to give my hair a break.
“On those days, it’s lucky if it gets a brush.
“I’m completely incapable of doing my own hair, it’s usually a throw-it-up ponytail situation.”
Lara – who has a four-year-old son, Alfred, with ex-husband David Walliams – has only recently begun enjoying exercise but she now appreciates all the benefits it brings.
She said: “I recently started getting back into the whole workout thing.
“It’s taken time, but now I believe exercising is as beneficial to your mentally as it is physically – it makes your mind so much clearer.
“I’m currently trying boxing, Pilates, and personalised workouts with a trainer. I actually have a muscle now! Just the one, but still.”
If the Dutch beauty was told she could only use one product for the rest of her life, she’d opt for foundation.
She told Elle magazine: “If I could wear only one product for the rest of my life, it would be foundation.
“If you feel your skin looks good, it just makes everything else look OK.
“I’m low maintenance so I love L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation because it lasts all day and gives a really natural finish.”
And one item Lara doesn’t mind going without is perfume.
She said: “My first fragrance was Gucci Envy Me. My dad bought it for me at the airport – it reminds me of being young and my first proper experience of beauty products.
“Now, I don’t wear perfume so much.”

Ashley Graham gave her stool to her personal assistant

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham gave a sample of her stool to her assistant in order to have it tested.
The 30-year-old model has revealed she was eager to have the content of her stool checked by a medical expert to ensure she was in good health, and so she passed it to her assistant, who then had the unenviable job of carrying it around with her as part of her daily tasks.
In a feature about the job of personal assistants, Ashley explained to Glamour magazine: “I was getting my stool sample tested, and I had to give my stool to my assistant, and she had to make all these errands holding my stool, and then had to do a delivery of my stool. She’ll do anything for me.”
Meanwhile, Ashley recently claimed that her vulnerability has helped to make her more relatable to other women.
The brunette beauty said that her candidness has removed some of the stigma that has previously surrounded body image issues.
She explained: “I’m not going to just give you the story half-assed – I’m going to give it to you full-on.
“For me, being pretty was wrapped up in sex. Being accepted was wrapped up in sex. I don’t want women to think like that. I want them to learn from my mistakes … I think that the more vulnerable I was, the easier it was going to be for someone to relate to me.
“I definitely think that my body has changed many peoples’ lives. I’ve used my body as a tool to talk about taboo subjects, such as cellulite or being insecure about lower belly fat – and also [how to] talk life into your body and have an affirmation kind of conversation with yourself. And I know the lives that have been.”

Drew Barrymore: I want to ‘explore something romantic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore has an ambition to “explore something romantic” with her growing fashion empire.
The Hollywood star launched her Dear Drew lifestyle label with Amazon Fashion in October, and she has now opened up about her long-term aims for her brand.
She shared: “I kept feeling this burning desire to build an apparel brand for women by women, to explore something romantic.
“I took it back to my love of tailoring and having been in a costume house my whole life.”
Drew, 42, explained that she tries to maintain a positive outlook on life, irrespective of the challenges facing her.
But at the same time, the acclaimed actress admitted she doesn’t wish to create “magic-wand make-up or magic-wand clothes”.
Speaking to InStyle, Drew shared: “When I was making movies, I just didn’t want to tell a depressing story; I wanted to tell one about some type of self-improvement. I thought, ‘There’s enough s**t in life. I want optimism and joy.’
“At the same time, I don’t like magic-wand happy endings – and now I don’t like magic-wand make-up or magic-wand clothes.”
Meanwhile, Amazon Fashion Director, Kate Dimmock, previously spoke about the long-term aims behind Drew’s brand.
Speaking earlier this year, she said: “The brand’s mission is to provide positive inspiration and a grounding voice to all women.”
She explained, too, that the company serves as a reflection of Drew’s “creative energy”.
Kate shared: “Drew’s impressive career and creative energy is an inspiration, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our customers a collection that embodies her.”

Amanda Holden needs false eyelashes

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden won’t leave the house without false eyelashes.
The 46-year-old actress – who has daughters Lexi, 11, and five-year-old Hollie with husband Chris Hughes – takes a lot of pride in her appearance and though she admits she sounds “high maintenance”, it makes her feel good to know she looks good.
She said: “My grandmother used to say, ‘Never let your husband see you without make-up on’.
“While I’m not that strict, I do take a lot of pride in my appearance.
“I never wear a full face of make-up around the house but I do like to put on a set of false eyelashes in the morning before the school run.
“I know that sounds high maintenance, but if I have them on, I feel like I can walk out of the house and I’ll still look OK.”
Though Amanda normally doesn’t diet, she is very strict with her eating regime when she’s filming the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ live shows because she has to fit into designer gowns in “stupid Barbie sizes”.
She said: “My regime ahead of the live shows is very strict because I get so scrutinised for how I look.
“The dresses I wear tend to be straight off the catwalk. They’re often stupid Barbie sizes so I have to be really fit to wear them.
“I never diet but around that time I like to follow Jason Vale’s 5:2 juice diet where I drink only juices two days a week.
“I’ll also start working out regularly and I have a few collagen wave facials too.”
And the former ‘Cutting It’ star spends months planning her outfits for the show.
She said: “It comes around so fast but it really is my favourite job of the year.
“My stylist, Angie Smith, is coming over soon to have a strategy meeting about what I’ll be wearing.
“Angie is great at upping the ante year after year.”

Ruby Rose: I’m lucky to have worked with so many females

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruby Rose feels lucky to have worked with so many females during her career in light of the sexual harassment scandal.
The 31-year-old model and actress admitted she’s saddened by the notion that she should feel “blessed” to have escaped unwanted attention, but she insisted everyone she’s worked with has always been “so boundaried and professional”.
Ruby said: “It feels ridiculous to say ‘I’m so blessed’ because that (harassment) should not be the normal.”
Ruby revealed she didn’t realise that by working with so many women during her career, she’s in the minority in her line of work.
The Melbourne-born star told the Daily Telegraph newspaper in Australia: “I’ve been lucky not just working with a lot of females, which I didn’t realise is as rare as it is, but that everyone I’ve worked with has been so boundaried and professional.”
And while Ruby is sympathetic towards the women who have been the victims of sexual harassment, she hopes the scandal will prove to be a turning point.
She explained: “The only good thing about these horrible stories is it should now break open the conversation in every workplace.”
Meanwhile, the model recently discussed her gender fluid identity, admitting she didn’t feel as though she “fit the mould of a girl” during her childhood.
Ruby recalled: “When I was really young, my own understanding was that you had to be either a boy or a girl and I didn’t feel like I fit the mould of a girl.”

Khloe Kardashian’s sharing workout vids again

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian has started sharing her workout videos again.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star was forced to defend herself earlier this week when she was slammed for working out while six months pregnant but, despite the backlash, she won’t let it stop her from posting clips of her working up a sweat.
The 33-year-old beauty took to Snapchat yesterday (28.12.17) to show how she and her sister Kourtney Kardashian were training arms, shoulders, back and inner thighs.
It comes just days after the blonde beauty said her doctor had given her the all-clear to train while pregnant after fans blasted her for putting her unborn baby at risk.
She wrote: “For the ones who think they are physicians all of a sudden. But MY doctor and I communicate and my workouts are cleared and highly recommended. Thanks kiddos! Don’t make me stop sharing s**t (sic).”
Apart from dealing with criticism on social media, Khloe has had a “pleasant pregnancy” so far without any bouts of illness or morning sickness.
Speaking previously about how she is coping, a source said: “Khloe has not had any morning sickness or had any less than pleasant pregnancy symptoms.”
Khloe and her 26-year-old boyfriend Tristan Thompson set tongues wagging they were expecting a baby together in September this year, but it was only last week that Khloe publicly announced the exciting news.
Alongside a photograph of her bump on her Instagram account, she wrote: “My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can’t believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! (sic)”

Daisy Ridley can’t do own hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley doesn’t know how to do her hair.
The 25-year-old actress went to a performing arts boarding school from the age of just eight but never felt like she fitted in with her classmates because she wasn’t as knowledgeable about her appearance as some of her peers – and not a lot has changed now.
She said: “I always sort of felt like I didn’t fit in.
“At 12 or 13, I didn’t know how to do make-up and I still don’t know how to do my hair. And people wore high heels at that age.”
Daisy’s mother thought the performing arts school would suit her daughter because she doesn’t handle boredom very well.
She said: “I was such a grumpy child. I used to get super-distracted – once I’d done my work I’d be annoying everyone else – and my mum thought if I was busy, I’d be less distracting.”
The ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ actress recently admitted she had therapy to cope with “crippling” fame.
She said: “Everything was so confusing. People were recognising me – I still don’t know how to handle it.
“My skin got really bad because I was stressed. It was crippling. I just felt so seen and so self-conscious…
“I went and saw a lovely lady. I felt like I was sort of reducing myself because I was so worried that people would recognise me.
“[Then I thought] ‘You know what? I want to dance through life. I don’t want to scuttle.’ ”
However, the British star admits she is in a very fortunate position, but tries to keep a sense of perspective about things.
She said: “I’m very aware that there are thousands of other people who could do what I do much better, and it’s a matter of timing and luck. I’m counting my blessings that I get to be one of the people working.
“I worry that things start to seem normal that aren’t normal.
“You get rushed through airports, and you never have to queue, and you get tickets to things that you wouldn’t otherwise. I think it’s important to remind yourself that it’s not normal. It’s difficult, though, because it is my normal.”

Chrissy Teigen admits to being scammed at start of career

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen was scammed at the start of her modelling career.
The 32-year-old beauty – who is married to chart-topping musician John Legend – has revealed she was tricked into paying $4,000 a month to rent a tiny Miami apartment at the beginning of her career.
She shared: “I remember living in Miami in this apartment with five other young models, and it was two bedroom and we were each paying like $4,000 a piece.
“Looking back it doesn’t make any sense, but for me it was so cool that an agency wanted to move me to Miami.”
Chrissy – who has a 19-month-old daughter called Luna and is currently pregnant with her second child – admitted she didn’t question the scam because her new lifestyle “felt glamorous, and it felt cool”.
She told Revolve: “I didn’t realise how many people pull fast ones on you and I would have definitely gotten a business manager a lot earlier as a young person.
“When I started out in the modelling world I was bouncing around from agency to agency. I thought it was cool that agents wanted me and that I could get work.”
Chrissy now admits that her determination to make it in the modelling industry came at a price.
She conceded: “I think when you’re young and excited to begin that world you don’t really think that anyone has any negative intentions. You just get so excited, you’ll do anything. You’ll do all the favours.”

Gigi Hadid doesn’t care for skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid is “very bad” at looking after her skin.
The 22-year-old model shuns traditional beauty rules such as taking off her make-up before she goes to bed, but her make-up artist, Erin Parsons, thinks her client is lucky as it doesn’t really matter because she has a “naturally beautiful” complexion.
Erin said: “She’s very bad at looking after her skin and sometimes sleeps in her make-up.
“If you fall asleep in your make-up, using an exfoliant and eye masks can remedy the effects.
“But Gigi has naturally beautiful skin. It always looks fresh and buttery.”
When she isn’t working, Gigi – who is dating Zayn Malik – favours a more natural make-up look and admitted she feels “intimidated” by the flawless faces she sees on Instagram.
She said: “I think I’ve always been intimidated by Instagram generation make-up.
“I love it on other girls, but I don’t have their make-up skills. And on my days off, I don’t want to apply a full face of make-up – that’s what I do for my job.”
But even on a down day, the blonde beauty will always be wearing her beloved nude lipstick.
She said in a recent interview: “Everyone has their thing they do before they leave the house – a nude lip is mine. It makes me feel put together, instantly.
“On a normal Saturday, when I don’t want to wear much make-up, I will do a nude lip and an eye contour they’re what I call my bits.”
Gigi met Erin on a Pirelli calendar shoot when she was just 16 and they always enjoy working together.
Erin recalled: “She was a kid back then and had this baby face.
“I hadn’t heard of her before but when I did her make-up, her face completely transformed.
“We started working together on more shoots and just clicked.
“We have fun because we’re such good friends.”

Maria Grazia Chiuri’s slogan tees empower women

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Grazia Chiuri believes her slogan t-shirts have empowered women.
The 53-year-old fashion designer made her mark when she became the creative director at Dior last year – which is the first time a female has held the title at the fashion house – as she created a range of tops with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s quote ‘We should all be feminists’ emblazoned on the front for her Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
And the creative mastermind is pleased with the reaction to her creations, because she thinks it was an “awakening” in the fashion industry and encouraged women to “claim their own role”.
Speaking about the line, the mogul said: “A T-shirt, because it’s so basic, is the easiest way to display ideas. I’m glad that so many women saw my T-shirt as a way to claim their own role in society, to make their voice heard. It’s also quite an awakening for fashion, and what you can do with fashion.
“The white T-shirt, in all its simplicity, is an extraordinary tool”.
And Maria believes she is able to continue to encourage women and help achieve gender equality with her designs.
She told Red magazine: “For me it’s important that the younger generations pay attention, and I think the [Women’s] March and those that followed – from London to my very own Rome – are proof positive of how women, as a global community, are beginning to realise that they are on the same team. It’s a widespread feeling, not linked to any progression or practice, but more essentially something that is in the air, a sort of zeitgeist. It’s up to each one of us to interpret this atmosphere, and I did it through clothing, and the images I can create though clothing, which only become relevant if they get out there. When people start talking about them, then they truly become icons of emancipation and equality.”

Frankie Bridge’s public beauty disasters

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge thinks it’s “unfair” everyone can see her beauty disasters.
The 28-year-old singer – who has sons Parker, three, and Carter, two, with husband Wayne Bridge – thinks she and her Saturdays bandmates used to wear “too much” make-up and hates the fact the images are still around for all to see.
Asked if she’s ever had a beauty disaster, she said: “Oh my God, loads. The unfair thing is you can just Google my images.
“In so many pictures, there’s just too much make-up.
“There was a stage where the girls and I wore make-up like a mask.
“I remember being on tour when I first met Wayne. I came home and it was the first time he’d ever seen me in stage make-up. He was like, ‘Wow – what happened to your face?’ ”
But these days, the ‘Ego’ hitmaker’s cosmetics routine couldn’t be more different.
She said: “I’ve always kept my regime quite simple. I’m not one of those people who would sit down and give myself a facial.
“I’ve never been high-maintenance in that way.
“I’d always wear make-up in the day before I had the boys, but now I’m not as bothered.
“If I’m running around with them I try and have make-up free days, but on a night out, it’s always a full face of make-up.”
And the former S Club Juniors star is currently having problems with her skin.
She said in a recent interview: “I’ve been struggling with my skin a little bit. It’s weird. I’m 28, I’ve got this far without having any problems, why is it happening now?
“It’s catch-22 – you want to put make-up on to cover it up, then you don’t want to because it will make it worse.”

Alison Brie never used to have a single ‘athletic bone’ in her body

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Brie never used to have a single “athletic bone” in her body.
The 34-year-old actress has admitted when she was younger she never used to be a fitness fanatic, but as she has matured she has changed her ways and in the last “six years” she has hired a personal trainer to put her through her paces.
Speaking in the January issue of Gotham magazine, she said: “In my adolescence, I didn’t have an athletic bone in my body. But the last six years, I have been working with a personal trainer.”
And the brunette beauty has revealed in preparation for her role as Ruth Wilder in the Netflix series ‘GLOW’ she had to “jump through hoops”, and though she had to learn wrestling moves for the production, she was never asked to change her appearance or body shape.
She explained: “I just beat them down. They tried to make me jump through hoops, and I was happy to jump through those hoops. Give me more hoops.
“They said, ‘You were becoming the character the more you were coming in, the more you were determined to get it.’
“[But the producers] didn’t want us to change our bodies at all.
“They said, ‘We want all shapes and sizes of women to be represented on this show. We love you the way you are.'”
And Alison has revealed she enjoyed training for her latest project because she found it “empowering”.
But since starring in the show, Alison has had a different outlook on her body.
Speaking previously, she said: “It was more about learning to use our bodies in this totally different way. It really changed the way I felt about my body. It felt so empowering and exciting, and it proved that we were capable of so much more than we expected. ‘Glow’ is such a body-positive show; all of the women on it feel really comfortable in their bodies, and that is such a healthy thing to be surrounded by.”

Maria Grazia Chiuri’s year of awakenings

OHMYGOSSIP — Maria Grazia Chiuri thinks 2017 has been the “year of awakenings.”
The 53-year-old fashion designer – who was announced as the Dior’s creative director in 2016 – believes the “chain of events” over the last 12 months have been a “clear wake-up call” for women across the globe.
Asked to pick her most defining moment from this year, she said: “I don’t see one, two or event three events that set the tone for 2017, but I see, rather a chain of events made up of actions and reactions. I think that, overall, 2017 was a year of awakenings. For women, certainly, but, in general, also for anyone who thought that their opinion didn’t count. Recent political events are a clear wake-up call that showed us how every opinion, every vote, every thought truly counts.”
Maria only hopes the “awakening” encourages a “global jump start”, which are “in tune with the heart and mind” of the public.
Speaking to Red magazine, she said: “My hope is that this awakening is followed by action that gets all people, in all their diversity moving. A global jump-start to jolt society into thinking of the future as a place we are all responsible for, through our actions. Actions that must be in tune with the heart and mind.”
And Maria believes anyone who is in a position of power should use their influence in a positive way.
She said: “In a world like ours, whoever is in a position to reach a large audience has the responsibility to use that power to make people think. You have to fight for what you believe in, even if that means pushing the limits of the familiar.”
