Emma Stone’s stylist praises her reaction to Oscars wardrobe malfunction

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Stone’s stylist has insisted she showed “grace and elegance” during her Oscars wardrobe malfunction.
The ‘Poor Things’ star – who won the best actress prize for her role in the movie based on Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel – made headlines at the Academy Awards earlier this month when she admitted the back zipper of her custom Louis Vuitton dress has broken and she had to be “sewed back” into the gown.
Petra Flannery – who Emma has worked with for 17 years – told The Hollywood Reporter: “Emma made history in it, winning an Oscar, and she showed grace and elegance when it came to a now-famous wardrobe malfunction.”
Emma insisted she was actually to blame for the awkward mishap, but again joked that Ryan Gosling’s performance of ‘I’m Just Ken’ was the catalyst.
The 35-year-old actress said: “I made a big deal about busting the zipper, but it really was my fault.
“I would have busted the most industrial zipper on the planet during ‘I’m Just Ken.’ ”
For the mint green gown, the duo were inspired by Emma’s ‘Poor Things’ character Bella Baxter, which helped lead to the crystals, sleeves, pearls and sherbert shades.
Petra explained: “Visually, the film had so much to offer.”
Meanwhile, Emma admired the details Petra puts into her outfits.
She added: “I loved Petra’s idea with Louis Vuitton to create a bunch of pins for Bella Baxter, which I wore on a lot of the looks, as did Yorgos [Lanthimos] on his suits.”
The gown was accessorised by a stunning diamond necklace boasting a 30.47-carat octagonal step-cut golden Sri Lankan sapphire in the centre.
The “hint of mint” in the dress first sparked Petra’s imagination, and when she had looked up what the hue meant, she found the phrases “rebirth”, “growth” and “new beginnings” regularly features.
Speaking to Vogue.com, she recalled texting her high-profile client: “This is Bella! This is the character! It plays beautifully into the story.”
She added to the outlet: “It feels celebratory. I want everyone to look at Emma and see her — it’s so elegant.
“It’s one of the prettiest colors I’ve ever worked with. It looks so beautiful on her.”

He said in a statement to Women’s Wear Daily: “Given my love for tattoos, the launch of the Tattoo Aftercare Collection was the natural next step for Barker Wellness.

“I can’t wait for people to experience the difference with Barker Wellness and hope this collection empowers people to express themselves through body art.”
The collection includes a Tattoo Aftercare Balm to help with healing, as well as a Tattoo Butter to moisturise the skin while giving the ink’s vibrancy a boost.

Jennifer Garner champions vital part of her skincare routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Garner has insisted sunscreen is a vital part of her skincare routine.
The 51-year-old actress – who has been a brand ambassador for Neutrogena for 16 years – has been championing sunscreen for a long time now, joking that her skin tone proves she’s “a consumer of the product”.
She told People magazine: “As we round into spring, you just can’t remind people enough how important it is to wear some sunscreen.”
The brand’s latest product is its Invisible Daily Defense Face Serum SPF 60+, which Jennifer described as “triple duty”.
She added: “A girl loves things that multitask.”
The product manges to prime, moisturise and protect the skin, and she praised Neutrogena for “coming up with common sense solutions”.
She said: “Why wouldn’t you use a serum that’s also a moisturizer and also a primer? And why not just add SPF to it? It’s like: Boom.”
Jennifer is a big fan of the brand, and she admitted her home is stocked “like a showroom” for her houseguests to make use of.
However, she insisted the focus is still on quality, rather than quantity.
She explained: “My vanity is very popular, so I can’t have just one of anything. I cannot help but send people home with my favorite things.
“For women who are from 35 up, my favorite thing is to introduce them to hyaluronic acid and in a real way. The reason is, as we get older, we lose moisture in our
“skin. So if you can use hyaluronic acid, what it does is it binds moisture to the skin to make you dewy and plump.”
Being able to see people change their routines based on her advice is one of the best parts of her role as brand ambassador.
She said: “People to come up to me and say things like, ‘I actually started wearing sunscreen because of something you said,’ or, ‘I didn’t know what hyaluronic acid was.’ ”

Patsy Kensit hoped body-shaming would be a thing of the past by now: ‘I’ve never been good enough!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Patsy Kensit thought body-shaming would have become a thing of the past by now.
The 56-year-old star – who was famously married to Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher in the late 1990s – admitted that she has never been thought to have been the “right size” and even after losing weight in recent times, has had to deal with trolling.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Fabulous magazine: “I had hoped that all the mudslinging and body shaming had gone away – I thought we were living in a time when people didn’t do that any more, so to be called ‘anorexic’ left me feeling a bit burned.
“It became almost like a national sport trying to get me pictured with a cake in my hand and it was soul-destroying.”
“For close to 30 years now, I’ve never been the ‘right’ size. I was too skinny, then I was too fat and nicknamed ‘Fatsy Patsy’ Now, apparently, I’m too skinny again. Whatever I’ve looked like, it’s never been good enough.”
The former Eighth Wonder singer struggled to leave the house at one point and has “wasted” time in therapy over her body image issues, although she still refuses to let anyone see her naked.
She said: “It’s affected my mental health to the point where I’ve had serious issues with agoraphobia. “I’ve wasted a lot of therapy on body image… It’s not nice to be pulled apart.
“Over the years, I got a real bashing – if someone told me they’d seen a picture of me somewhere, I’d immediately ask them if I looked fat.
“I’ve got areas of my body I don’t like. I’d never lie on a beach unless I was covered head to toe. I just wouldn’t want that exposure.
“I undress in the dark, too. Not even the cat, who is my pride and joy and the one dearest to my heart, has seen me naked with the lights on.”

Jennifer Lopez has learned to ‘prioritise’ self-care

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez has learned to “prioritise” self-care.
The 54-year-old pop superstar has been one of the biggest names in Hollywood for decades but had to realise that it was fine for her to take time out for herself and curated some of her favourite brands to shop from for the benefit of her female fans.
Speaking during an Amazon Live session, she explained: “One of the things that I’ve learned is that we have to make it OK to take some time and prioritise ourselves with a little self-care every once in a while. In honor of that, I have included a selection of great women-owned brands for you to shop.”
Amongst her top products for self-care is the Ebanel 15 Pack Collagen Peptide Hydrating Face Masks for “the ultimate hydration and rejuvenation” as well as the Glimmer Goddess Organic Whipped Body Butter to keep her skin feeling smooth and soft.
She also picked out the Celestial Silk Amethyst Face Roller, which helps her enjoy a “spa-like experience” in the comfort of her own home and the Nodpod Gentle Pressure Sleep Mask, which enables her to enjoy a “restful” night.
The ‘Jenny From the Block’ hitmaker previously revealed that her everyday skincare routine is in fact “very simple”.
She told Vogue.com’s series Vogue Beauty Secrets: “I’ve always had a very simple skin-care routine, and JLo Beauty was very much about that.
“The truth is if you start young, it will make a huge difference.
“Because you can put on all the makeup in the world, [but] if you’re unhappy, if your skin’s not healthy…you can’t cover it up. Remember: I am magnificent, and my life is full of joy, laughter, adventure, and love. Success and prosperity too”

Elle Macpherson thinks models have become more ‘relatable’ than ever

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Macpherson thinks that the models of the fashion world are”very different” these days.
The 59-year-old star was one of the biggest names to emerge in the modelling industry in the 1990s alongside the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista and explained that these days, women on the catwalk have been “more relatable” than ever before.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “You had the girls who were runway models [or] who were cover girls . . . beauty girls . . . fashion girls. And suddenly . . . the same girl was being booked on a very different job. “It was very different from the way it is today. Back in the ’80s and ’90s, the more you were pedestalled, iconic, mysterious, unattainable, untouchable, larger-than-life . . . the more successful you were. And today I think the more approachable, the more relatable, the more connected you are to your community, the more successful you are.”
The businesswoman also recalled that during her heyday she wanted to look like everyone else but was able to build her career on the basis of being “very different” to others in her field.
She said: “I always wanted to wear those kinds of bras but I’m a six foot [182.5cm], Amazonian, athletic Australian with a 36C bust and I couldn’t find anything that fit me. You’ve got to remember the average size of a model was probably five nine and most of them were probably a 32-34B bust. I built a career because I was very different. I leaned into that. But it was hard in the beginning because I wanted to look like everybody else. Like a schoolgirl, right? I wanted to be like all the other girls, and I just wasn’t.””

Jason Derulo doesn’t want recognisable wardrobe

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Derulo doesn’t want to wear clothes that people “would recognise”
The ‘Talk Dirty’ hitmaker likes to buy “one-in-ones” and isn’t interested in picking up pieces that anyone could buy in a regular store.
Discussing his fashion choices, he told WWD: “I’m not really wearing things that you would recognize. I can’t really have something on that somebody could say, ‘Oh, I went to this store and got that.’
“I have different designers make me things. Philipp Plein has made me specific things. I also wear a lot of boutique stuff that stylists have gotten in London, Paris and Los Angeles.”
When it came to packing for his ‘Nu King’ tour, Jason takes “everything” with him.
He said: “As I look at seven suitcases next to me, we just bring everything. You’ve got to bring everything, because you don’t want to leave anything behind. I get stuff on-the-road as well.”
When he’s on the road, the 34-year-old star has plenty of raw vegetables and fruit on his rider, as well as small trees and plants.
He said: “I’ve been trying to eat food that is alive and not just the meats.”
Jason works hard to maintain his physique, partly due to human nature but also because he can be “slightly more extreme”.
He said: “Even when I had the best body that I ever had, I still found things that made me think, ‘Damn, I need to work on this and this.’ It’s a bit of human nature, for sure, and I’m slightly more extreme than the average person.”

Millie Bobby Brown studied YouTube make-up tutorials

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown taught herself make-up techniques via YouTube videos.
The ‘Stranger Things’ actress spent “hours” watching how people applied their cosmetics and she’s now very confident in doing her face herself.
She told Vogue.com: “I learned to do my own make-up going on YouTube and searching out makeup tutorials. I was, like, 12, and I just watched people do their make-up for hours.
“When I would watch my grandma do her makeup in the morning, I loved the smell of her lipstick. 80 years into her life, she knew how she liked to do her make-up. I love that.”
The 20-year-old star is also happy to touch up her fiance Jake Bongiovi’s skin too.
She admitted: “Jake loves it when I put concealer on him.”
Millie has her own Florence by Mills range and she treats her co-stars to the products.
She said: “I brought in Florence products to set on ‘Damsel’. I definitely put eye gels on Nick Robinson, and I think he liked it.”
The ‘Enola Holmes’ star is a big fan of blush now but used to “hate” the product.
She said: “I hated blush. When I was young I was like, I want to look older! Put bronzer on me. But now, I love blush again! Woo hoo!”
Millie is “sad” about her lack of natural brows.
She quipped: “My mom gave me a good spirit and a good attitude, but no eyebrows. I’m sad about that.”
But the actress has mastered a three-step routine for her brows, brushing them and filling them in with a pencil before adding a top coat of Charlotte Tilbury’s clear gel. Millie then uses the make-up artist’s shadow in a chocolate shade and her own Call Time eyeliner before opting for a budget-friendly swipe of L’Oréal’s Voluminous Original Mascara in Deep Burgundy.
She said of the product: “I like the colour it brings out in my eyes.
I don’t like colouring my lashes; I don’t like other people colouring my lashes. But I actually love what [colours] do for my lashes.”

Vogue Williams ‘obsessed’ with skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams is “obsessed” with skincare.
The 38-year-old model – who has three children with husband Spencer Matthews – jumped at the chance to receive a consultation from skincare expert Dr. Ejikeme at Westfield London after new research found over 70% of Brits are concerned about the effects of air pollution on their skin, with more than a third already experiencing issues such as early aging as a result.
And Vogue has encouraged others to follow her lead and get an assessment of their own, as well as further treatments, during the Beauty Edit event at the shopping destination from 28-30 March, or Westfield Stratford on 5-7 April.
Vogue said in a statement: “Obviously, I’m obsessed with skincare, and Westfield on the 28th, 29th and 30th of March are having a huge Beauty Edit event.
“They have such amazing brands, at the event you can get a free Hydra-Facial, you can get free skin scanning, which means you can find out where you have all your pigmentation and other stuff, and you can find out the products that you can use to get rid of that.
“They also have free LED mask facials – they’ve got it all going on.
“Then the 5th to the 7th April they are doing the same thing at Westfield Stratford City, so make sure you get yourself over, this place is amazing!”
The study from Westfield’s How We Shop platform found 31% of those surveyed have switched to using gentle cleansers designed to remove pollutants without stripping natural oils, with many having reported issues including dryness (54%), increased dirtiness (45%), blemishes (21%), and early signs of aging (20%).
Dr. Ifeoma Ejikeme, Founder and Medical Director at the Adonia Clinic, said: “In the face of escalating pollution levels, our skin becomes the frontline target of environmental aggression. The latest insights from Westfield underscore the pressing need to strengthen our skincare routine against the unseen threats lurking in our air.
“As we navigate through urban landscapes shrouded in pollution, let us not just shield our skin but empower it to withstand these challenges.
“Adonia Medical Clinic’s collaboration with Westfield epitomises this ethos. Join me and my team at The Beauty Edit, where we will be providing consultations towards glowing skin.”
