Kim Kardashian West covers grandmother’s veins using her beauty line

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has covered up her grandmother’s veins using her new body make-up collection.
The 38-year-old reality star – who has formulated her own skin perfecting range for her KKW beauty line – has taken to Instagram to demonstrate the products from her much-anticipated line, and Kim used her 84-year-old grandmother Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Campbell as a test model to show the range’s incredible concealing power.
Kim posted a series of videos and photos of her applying the body foundation on MJ on her Instagram account and captioned the content: “My grandma MJ asked me about my Body Makeup and wanted me to come over to help cover her veins.
“North [West] & I went straight to her house & showed her exactly how to use it & I love how happy she is with the results! Swipe to see how amazing this before and after is on MJ! (sic)”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star will launch her Skin Perfecting Body Shimmer, Loose Shimmer Powder for Face & Body, Body Brush and Skin Perfecting Body Make Up Foundation in seven inclusive shades on Friday (21.06.19), and Kim went on to address the products transfer.
She added: “Let’s talk about the transfer. I’ve been using body makeup for over a decade now and in my experience you either get coverage that doesn’t transfer but it’s super dry and looks fake or its the opposite and really moisturising but completely transfers. My new @kkwbeauty Body Makeup is in between.
“If you let it dry before putting your clothes on it transfers way less and if you set it with a translucent powder it hardly transfers at all. It was important to keep the skin looking flawless yet natural. Swipe to the 3rd slide to see. In the transfer video we didn’t have translucent powder but tried one of my pressed powders and that worked pretty good too! (sic)”
And Kim – who also uses the product to cover her psoriasis outbreaks – finished her post by insisting she “can’t wait” for her fans to try the collection because she has worked so hard on it.
She continued: “My body foundation really evens out and corrects your skin tone and conceals veins and bruises. My formula is super creamy, hydrating and long lasting! I can’t wait for you guys to try the entire Body Collection launching in two days on Friday, 06.21 at 12pm pst at kkwbeauty.com #kkwbeauty (sic)”

Shawn Mendes’ tour outfits inspired by Elvis Presley

OHMYGOSSIP — Shawn Mendes is paying homage to “style icon” Elvis Presley with his tour outfits.
The 20-year-old Canadian singer/songwriter has just kicked off the North American leg of his eponymous tour and the pop star’s long-time stylist Tiffany Briseno has revealed that Shawn’s wardrobe contains nods to many of his favourite artists, including the late King of Rock ‘n’ Roll Elvis, Bruce Springsteen and late guitar hero Jimi Hendrix.
Briseno said: “The goal is for Shawn to make his mark in a world of past and present style icons. Taking inspiration and paying homage to some of the greats such as Elvis, Bruce Springsteen and Jimi Hendrix.
“Having been with him since he was 16, his style has evolved through a few stages since then. At first he had a stage when he’d really just wear what he wanted, which I’d call the ‘plaid stage,’ then we elevated his style a bit when he started wearing leather jackets and black jeans. Now, I’d say we have moved onto what I’d call the ‘natural rock star’ stage.”
And Shawn was also “inspired” by the late funk legend James Brown – who died in 2006 – to incorporate the idea of “de-layering” into his on stage performances.
Speaking to US Vogue, Tiffany added: “The approach for tour is much more raw and lived-in compared to some of our past award shows and other performance looks. We have also integrated the idea of de-layering throughout the entire show. Starting with a lightweight jacket and ending in a cut-off tee or staple tank top. This approach was inspired by icons like James Brown and the use of his cape–the idea of using clothing to create more anticipation for the audience.”
The ‘Stitches’ hitmaker always makes sure that Shawn “feels good” first and foremost when he’s stage and she wants her work to make him happy.
She added: “He has to feel good in it. Having worked together for so long now, we have a trust that allows us to push and evolve. He is open and knows what he likes, so it makes for a very successful creative process in our fitting sessions.”

Billie Eilish’s personality changes depending on her clothes

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish says her personality changes depending on what clothes she is wearing.
The 17-year-old singer admits fashion is the first thing she thinks about when she gets up in the morning and depending on what she wears her persona changes.
She said: “Oh my god, dude. That’s the first thing that matters in every day of my life. Everywhere I go, everything I do. Everything.
“It’s the first thing that I think about that I barely even think about it. It’s my whole identity. My whole personality is based off my clothes and what I’m wearing that day. I’ll have a different personality for a different outfit sometimes. If I’m wearing something I don’t feel comfortable in I will turn into a totally different persona that I hate.”
Billie has made a huge impact on pop culture with her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ and she is determined to use her platform and large following to talk about issues that matter to her.
She added: “I really don’t want to waste my platform. I’m trying not to but I think all of us in the spotlight – or whatever you want to call it – can be more vocal about climate change and things that need to be talked about. I still think I can do more.
“There are so many things being determined by people who are going to die soon anyway because they’re old as f**k. It makes me so angry.”
The ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker also hopes to make a positive “impact” on the world and doesn’t think about the future too much because it “freaks” her out.
Speaking to Vogue Australia, she said: “There are so many things I wish I could snap my fingers and make better. There is so much that needs help and [there are] people who pretend they care and don’t and [then] people who could do something, but don’t.
“I’m here and I can actually try. I suddenly have a platform and a spotlight that I can maybe, maybe, maybe make a difference to something.
“I just want to see what happens. I hope I make an impact. I don’t like to think about the future, because it kind of freaks me out. I just want to live in the space I’m in right now. I’m cool with that.”

Tyra Banks to launch beauty mini series

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyra Banks is set to launch a docu-series that aims to “expand and redefine the definition of beauty”.
The 45-year-old model recently came out of modelling retirement to pose on the cover of Sports Illustrated last month, and now the brunette beauty will star and executive produce a new mini-series, titled ‘Beauty’, that will “challenge why we accept certain beauty parameters”.
In a statement, Tyra said: “As I look into the future, I see radical changes in both how people ‘attain beauty,’ and how the world perceives beauty.
“Our docu-series aims to expand and redefine the definition of beauty as we know it, challenging why we accept certain beauty parameters and reject others, and examining the beliefs behind those judgements.”
The much-anticipated series will be produced by Network Entertainment for Quibi, and will mark her return to a TV series since her successful model scouting show ‘America’s Next Top Model’, which was cancelled in 2015.
And this news comes as Tyra has now revealed that she replaced the letters ‘K and S’ in her modelling moniker with an ‘X’ because it represents “rebirth” and the “breaking” of beauty boundaries.
She said: “[The new name symbolises] X-ing out cookie-cutter beauty. Mononyms are exciting in the industry. But usually models use their first names, like Iman. I want to flip the script and go by my last name. I’m taking something familiar and making it new. I’m wiser now and thicker.
“BanX is me, but she’s also every woman. BanX represents rebirth and that beauty boundaries only exist to be broken.”

Kate Wright ‘nervous’ to model swimwear collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Wright was “nervous” to model her own swimwear collection for V by Very.
The 28-year-old reality star has teamed up with online fashion retailer to create her first summer fashion, swimwear and nightwear edit, and Kate has revealed that she made sure to keep to her strict gym regime for the line’s shoot in Portugal.
Speaking to the new issue of OK! magazine, she said: “I was nervous because I hadn’t done it in a while, but once I was on set in Portugal I got back into it. I just went to the gym as I normally do. I didn’t change too much because I go a lot anyway.”
And Kate wanted to make sure her much-anticipated range was inspired by her own wardrobe and was inclusive to make women feel “confident and happy”.
She added: “I’m quite picky with what I do now, but I couldn’t say no to working with Very. I love the brand, and they wanted to work with me to create something that was me.
“There are swim styles to suit all different body shapes, and there’s stuff that I really love like crop tops and trousers. I want to see everybody in it looking happy and confident.”
The former ‘TOWIE star – who is marrying Rio Ferdinand after he popped the question last year – went on to admit that she is more “confident” in herself because her life has changed in a “positive way”.
She said:”I’m feeling good! I feel like I’ve really grown in myself the last couple of years, and I’m more confident.
“My whole life has changed in a positive way, and I feel settled and happy. I’ve found out who I am, and I am in touch with myself. I know what makes me happy and I know when something isn’t making me feel good. Before I didn’t really know at all, and it meant I struggled sometimes. I know that going to the gym makes me happy, but equally if I’m tired I’ll allow myself a day off.”

Kim Kardashian West announces beauty collaboration with Winnie Harlow

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has announced a KKW Beauty collaboration with Winnie Harlow.
The 38-year-old reality star will be teaming up with the 24-year-old catwalk star – who is one of the world’s most recognisable models due to her vitiligo skin condition, which is characterised by depigmentation of the skin – for the new range.
Kim revealed the news to her fans on the latest episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, showing off a behind-the-scenes look at the campaign’s photo shoot where the pair lay on sand dunes.
Speaking on the E! series, Kim said: “I am doing a collab with me and Winnie Harlow for KKW Beauty.”
And later the reality show’s Kardashians on E! Twitter account confirmed the news by writing: “Shoutout to the beautiful @winnieharlow @KimKardashian #KUWTK (sic)”
This news comes as the brunette beauty has recently formulated her own skin perfecting range for her KKW beauty line and insisted it has been her “secret for over a decade” and helped camouflage her psoriasis, which causes red and flaky patches.
She captioned a photo of her legs: “I’m so excited for you guys to try my new @kkwbeauty Body Collection. It consists of 3 different products (body make up, a liquid body shimmer and a loose shimmer powder).
“I use them all separately and sometimes all together depending on the look I am going for. This one shown above is the body Make Up.
“This is what I use most often. I don’t always like my legs to have shimmer on them. I use this when I want to enhance my skin tone or cover my psoriasis. I bruise easily and have veins and this has been my secret for over a decade. I’ve learned to live with and not be insecure of my psoriasis, but for days when I want to just cover it up I use this Body Makeup. (sic)”

Rachel Brosnahan’s skin is affected by her diet

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Brosnahan says her diet is so important to her skin and if she eats junk food she usually suffers a “break out”.
The 28-year-old actress, like everyone, cannot resist a calorific treat on occasions but if she dines on something like a burger and fries she makes sure she takes extra measures to combat any potential negative side effects to her complexion and general health.
She said: “If I go for the burger and fries and I really make sure I don’t skip the spin class that week. I go to Soul Cycle, but if I wake up in the morning and I feel like I can’t get out of bed because I’m so exhausted, I try to listen to that. And, I’ll take the extra hour of sleep because I will feel better emotionally and physically when I’ve taken better care of myself.
“I notice if I’m travelling or eating foods that I don’t normally eat, it shows up on my skin. Either my skin looks duller or I break out. I just don’t feel great. So, I try to eat to make myself feel the best. It’s less about focusing on the way that I look and more about how I feel.”
Rachel recently signed as the first celebrity ambassador for skincare brand Cetaphil, and the star revealed that she didn’t take her skincare routine “seriously” until she was aged 16, but now it is of upmost importance to her.
Speaking to ELLE US, she said: “I didn’t take skincare seriously until I was about 16. I had always just put whatever on my face. I would go to a drug store and look at what products claimed they would do and just try anything that I felt might help at the moment.
“My whole routine was just a mess until my mom introduced me to Cetaphil Gentle Skin cleanser when I was 16. Once I started using it and a moisturiser, it completely changed my skin. From that point forward, the way my skin looks and feels have been top priorities to me.”
The ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ star went on to reveal that she loves to use a brightening serum morning and night because it evens out her flawless skin tone.
She added: “I wear so much make-up on my face every day that I’m trying to use as little as possible to take care of my skin in the morning and at night.
“I use about six drops of Vintner’s Daughter Botanical Serum, pat it into my skin, and it keeps it hydrated. I find that it brightens my skin, especially because it’s got all kinds of different oils in it. It helps to even out my skin really quickly, make red marks go away and soothe dry patches.”

Khloe Kardashian ‘obsessed’ with sunscreen

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian is “obsessed” with sunscreen and keeps it with her at all times.
The 34-year-old reality TV star believes the hands and neck betray signs of ageing so thinks the key to retaining her youthful look is to regularly apply SPF.
Her half-sister Kylie Jenner said: “The best beauty secret is your hands look like you’re 17 years old. She has the best, youngest hands.”
Khloe explained: “You and Kendall always say this! Well I am obsessed with sunscreen, I have it in all of my cars because when you’re driving through your windshield, the sun is beaming on your hands.
“Your hands and your neck tells your age.”
Kylie also believes in the importance of good skincare and loves to “drench herself” in organic oils after she has showered.
Speaking on her YouTube channel, she continued: “Full shower routine, I like to get in – start with my hair for sure – I like to shampoo, then conditioner.
“I like for my conditioner to be out of my hair then I can wash it off my body. I feel like it lingers on your body. So then I’ll scrub, my loofah is pink and then I drench myself in organic oils from the Amazon, I like almond oil, olive oil, jojoba oil.”
The video was posted in honour of Kylie and Khloe’s latest make-up collaboration being released on Friday (14.06.19)
Kylie teased the exclusive five-piece collection on her Instagram account earlier this week, writing: “We’re back with ROUND 3!! The new #KOKOKOLLECTION is coming June 14 @khloekardashian go to Stories now for the reveal! (sic)”
The limited-edition collection includes a much-anticipated nine-pan eye-shadow palette with both sparkly and matte shades, a champagne-gold highlighter (True Mama), and three exclusive nude lip products.
All of the eyeshadows in the baby pink-adorned palette have different names inspired by Khloe’s 14-month-old daughter – who she has with NBA star ex Tristan Thompson – including ‘Dreams Come True’, ‘True’s Mom’, and ‘Must Be True’.

Kimora Lee Simmons found relaunching Baby Phat ‘fulfilling’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kimora Lee Simmons found relaunching Baby Phat “fulfilling”.
The 44-year-old fashion designer has teamed up with Forever 21 for an exclusive collaboration – which includes terrycloth tube tops, fitted bike shorts, cheetah print and pastel sweatshirts – and she was delighted to see the brand back “into the zeitgeist” but admitted she always expected it to be popular again.
She said: “I did expect [Baby Phat’s sexy style to come back], actually — fashion is so cyclical. I love being a part of this life cycle from the O.G. Baby Phat to our new, reinvented, modern-take on the brand.
“It’s so fulfilling to see one generation squealing with nostalgia at the news of our relaunch, and another discovering the brand for the first time.
“I’m heartened that the original aesthetic found its way into the zeitgeist. That’s affirmation for me and a whole community of women who were underserved by fashion the first time around.”
The fashion mogul – who has two children, Ming, 19, and Aoki, 16, with ex-husband Russell Simmons, Kenzo, nine, with former partner Djimon Hounsou and three-year-old Wolfe with her husband Tim Leissner – had the help of her two eldest daughters, who have become part of the company, and Kimora admitted that they worked alongside her on the creative side of the relaunch.
She told Page Six Style: “My world is shaped in so many ways by my daughters. They grew up walking the Baby Phat runways with me, and now they’re grown and working with me on the design and creative direction of the collection and on building the business itself.”
And Kimora wants her range to be inclusive and “accessible” for all women.
She continued: “It’s important to me to share Baby Phat in a totally fresh and accessible way with an entirely new generation of women.”

Shanina Shaik: I had bad self-esteem as teen

OHMYGOSSIP — Shanina Shaik maintains a good skincare routine after struggling with bad “self-esteem” as a teenager.
The 28-year-old model used to struggle with breakouts when she was growing up so now she loves to continually learn new tricks to keep her complexion clear and fresh.
She said: “When I was a teen I had really oily skin, so my skin was breaking out so much it was really bad, and I was modelling, it didn’t help my self-esteem and I think that’s why I love learning about skin and skincare regimes.”
And Shanina is “proud” that she had a good skincare regime instilled into her from a young age.
She added: “I’ve been really good with my skin care. That’s one thing I’m proud of. I started early.
“My mum and my grandmother have really good skin but I witnessed my grandmother moisturising her skin day and night without fail, so I just copied her I thought it was good.”
The striking brunette loves using colours “close” to her natural lip colour because it makes her make-up look more natural.
She continued: “I travel with a lot of concealers and foundations because my skincare changes all the time.
“A skin-care tip: don’t use deep, rich, creamy moisturizers in the summertime because you will sweat and [it] will cause breakouts.I like using colours that are close to my natural lip colour.”
The Australian beauty was cast in the Victoria’s Secret show for the first time in 2011 but took her mom Kim by surprise when she flew her over for the catwalk extravaganza as she’d told her she hadn’t made the cut.
She told US Vogue during her ‘Guide to Summer Skin Glow-Up’ tutorial: “I booked my first Victoria’s Secret show when I was 20 and it was 2011, but it was always a dream of mine ever since I stepped into New York.
“I remember telling my mum and she cried on the phone but I played a little trick on her and told her I didn’t get it and actually flew her out to watch the show.”

Irina Shayk says fashion industry is better for older models

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk says the fashion industry has “changed” for the better for older models.
The 33-year-old Russian model’s career took off at the age of 21 when she became the face of Intimissimi in 2007 and made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue that same year but she insists the “last two years” have “been the best” for her in the fashion world because “older girls are still working” in the industry and are more valued now than they used to be.
She said: “I’ve just turned 33 and the last two years of my career have been the best. I never thought I would be the face of Jean Paul Gaultier or Burberry or Versace or be shot by Steven Meisel, because normally that happens at the start of your career. So ageing doesn’t bother me. The fashion industry has changed and now, older girls still work.”
Irina – who was aged 18 when she won the Miss Chelyabinsk beauty contest in 2004 and was later signed to a modelling agency – has also revealed that she was often shunned by brands for being too curvy and was always told to “lose weight” when she was working during her 20s.
She shared: “I was older than other girls – some started modelling aged 13. I wasn’t a size zero, I was bigger and I was sexy.
“Now, because of Instagram, it is not really about being a size zero, but back then, all the girls were skinny and I wasn’t.
“There are so many people who tell you to lose weight, to colour your hair or cut it or do this or that … You have to be strong and stubborn to be a model. It’s very important not to lose who you really are.”
The striking brunette – who recently split from actor Bradley Cooper, the father of her two-year-old daughter Lea de Seine – didn’t know much about the fashion industry growing up and she had “never” purchased a magazine because she was too busy studying.
She told Stella magazine: “We lived in a super-small village, we never bought fashion magazines, I didn’t even know that world existed.
“When I was asked to be a model, at first I said no, I wanted to finish studying marketing at college. My mum had been saving up to pay for it. Then I realised modelling would be a good way to help my family. Money was my main driver.”

Kim Kardashian West body collection helped psoriasis ‘insecurities’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West’s body make-up collection has helped her “insecurities” with psoriasis.
The 38-year-old reality star – who has has formulated her own skin perfecting range for her KKW beauty line – insisted it has been her “secret for over a decade” and helped camouflage the skin condition, which causes red and flaky patches.
(sic)”
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star will launch her Skin Perfecting Body Shimmer, Loose Shimmer Powder for Face & Body, Body Brush, and Skin Perfecting Body Make Up Foundation in seven inclusive shades from next Friday (21.06.19), and she insisted that her own formula is “smooth” and “satin-like”.
She continued: “My formula is so creamy and buildable and has a smooth satin finish. It builds easily for a more full coverage if needed. It launches 06.21.19 at 12pm pst at kkwbeauty.com #kkwbeauty. Stay tuned for some videos showing how i use it all. (sic)”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always uses eye-lash curler

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley always uses an eye-lash curler “before applying” her mascara.
The 32-year-old model – who has 23-month-old son Jack with fiancé Jason Statham – has opened up about her go-to make-up look when she wants to give her face a pop of colour, and the star has revealed that she will either opt for a bold lip or dramatic eye, but will never do both at the same time, and insisted that her lashes are the key to transforming any look.
She said: “It adds a little pop of colour in my daytime. One of the rules I always follow is I’ll choose between working on an eye or a lip – in this case I’ve done a bold lip, and a subtle wash of colour over the eye to keep things balanced and looking natural.
“Next is mascara, I’m going to take my eyelash curlers, I never apply mascara without curving my lashes before. This is key in keeping me lashes open, curved and defined.”
And Rosie loves to learn new tricks from make-up artists when she is on set for a shoot, and the star admitted that she uses a cotton bud to apply an iridescent eye-shadow in the corner of her eye.
She added: “Take a cotton bud, or a Q-tip and apply a little bit of the eyeshadow right into the tear duct… This is such a great tip I’ve picked up from makeup artists over the years, and it really is a very simple and effective way of brightening the eye.”
The striking blonde also insisted that she always uses her lipstick as a blusher to “tie” her look together.
Speaking in a tutorial for British Vogue, she said: “Applying a little bit of lipstick as blusher is a great way of tying all of the colour in across your face in a cohesive way. And it’s also a really good tip for getting a multi-use out of your products.”
