Phoebe Tonkin feels her best after swimming in the ocean

OHMYGOSSIP — Phoebe Tonkin feels her best when she is “swimming in the ocean”.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ actress is known for her toned physique and glowing complexion on and off camera, and now the Australian beauty has revealed her secret to maintaining a “healthy” lifestyle is to be “loved and respected” by her family and friends, and also take a dip in the sea as often as she can because it leaves her feeling “satisfied”.
She said: “I think when I feel my best, it’s when I feel creatively fulfilled and satisfied, and challenged. I feel loved and respected by the people in my life, whether that’s boyfriends or friends. And when I feel like I’m, in turn, being loving and kind and grateful and also being healthy. Getting a lot of ocean swims in a day.”
And Phoebe recently turned age 30, which has been the “happiest” time of her life.
She added: “I think right now is the happiest time. I think 30 is the best. I mean, I’ve been 30 for a week. I was really excited to turn 30. I think even though it’s just a number, there’s just something kind of, I don’t know, momentous about a new decade in your life. And I really think this is going to be a good one for me.”
The ‘Originals’ star – who has been an ambassador for Chanel since last year – loves working with the luxury fashion house because the brand is “timeless” and doesn’t want her to change any part of herself.
She told Harper’s Bazaar US: “I think there’s something really kind of timeless and classic and elegant, but still sort of strong and a little rebellious about the Chanel woman.
“And I like being part of a brand that really wants you to feel and look like yourself, while still sort of being a face, or a representation of the house. That you can style the clothes in a way that you would wear them, as opposed to being put in full head-to-toe looks.”

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood moustache drove him ‘mad’

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonardo DiCaprio was driven “mad” by the fake moustache he had to wear on the set of ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’.
The 44-year-old actor plays struggling Western TV legend Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, which explores the golden age of cinema at the end of the 1960s, and DiCaprio was required to transform his face with stick-on long facial hair for numerous scenes.
DiCaprio’s long-time make-up artist Sian Grigg – who has worked with him since he starred in the 1998 film ‘Titanic’ – revealed the actor was less than pleased with his unruly moustache because it kept going in his mouth and he was constantly “spitting out” the fake hairs.
She said: “The moustache drove Leo mad, because I had to leave it really long and it always went in his mouth.
“It was so hot out and the moustache kept going in his mouth, and he’d be spitting it out. He did the same thing in the scene as they filmed ‘off camera’ when he was supposed to be losing it a bit. It made us laugh as he kept spitting it out and the wig was quite long as well.”
The beauty guru copied the “style” of Spaghetti Western films to create the actor’s exaggerated look, and she admitted Tarantino wanted him to look as “unrecognisable” as possible.
Sian told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was meant to look phoney because they didn’t have good materials back then like we do now. It was correct for the period – a Western film being made in the ’70s.
“We were copying the style of films shot in that period and also covering Leo’s character up to look different and unrecognisable, which in the movie he’s not used to.”
DiCaprio also made sure to not get his haircut in the lead up to being on set, according to the film’s hair department lead, Janine Thompson, and head of make-up, Heba Thorisdottir.
Janine said: “When people start hearing that Quentin Tarantino is doing a ’60s/’70s movie, word is out and people start growing out their hair, especially since his two previous films were Westerns.”
Heba added: “Actors tend to grow out their hair in between jobs as well, which is beneficial, because they come into the trailer as a blank canvas for us.”

David Gandy keep abs defined by ‘depleting’ salt from his body

OHMYGOSSIP — David Gandy keeps his abs defined by “depleting” all of the salt out of his body.
The 39-year-old model – who has a five-month-old daughter with his partner Stephanie Mendoros – shot to fame following the success of his topless Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue campaign in 2006, and the star revealed that before he is shooting with a brand, he will starve his body of water for “a day and a half” to keep his signature six-pack sculpted, but will make sure to reward himself with copious amounts of wine and pasta afterwards.
He said: “I do this thing called depletion. You basically drink as much water as you can to deplete all the salt out of your body so you don’t bloat. Then you dry the body out by not drinking any water for a day and a half. It makes you feel absolutely horrendous but it is the best day once you’ve finished shooting and you can eat all the pasta and drink alcohol. At that point, I require both of them every five minutes.”
And the British model enjoys doing high-intensity training regimes to stay in the “best shape” for his career.
Speaking to Grazia magazine, he said: “I’ve always trained but regularly reach a kind of plateau. For modelling, you want to be in the best shape you can be for every campaign you do. When you get to the age of 30, you start putting on fat in places much easier than you did when you were young.
“I make sure to have a goal because otherwise it’s so easy to talk yourself out of it. The best thing is seeing a result at the end of the day – it’s hard to notice progress but it’s part of my work life.”
Davis maintains a good skincare routine that is “simple” but effective.
He added: “I’m a big believer in a good scrub, serum and moisturiser. I think men need to keep it simple but still do something.”

Duchess Meghan creates charity fashion line

OHMYGOSSIP — Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex is launching a high-street fashion collection for charity.
The 37-year-old royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry in May 2018 – is releasing a capsule line of work apparel to benefit one of her royal patronages, the charity Smart Works, which provides support for unemployed women.
And the former ‘Suits’ actress broke the news in the September 2019 issue of British Vogue, entitled ‘Forces for Change’, that she guest-edited over seven-months.
Meghan – who has three-month-old son Archie with Harry – wrote: “When you walk into a Smart Works space, you’re met with racks of clothing and an array of bags and shoes.
“Sometimes, however, it can be a potpourri of mismatched sizes and colours, not always the right stylistic choices or range of sizes.”
Meghan has teamed up with UK high-street department store’s Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Jigsaw and fashion designer Misha Nonoo to create the much-anticipated collection set to launch later this year, and the duchess is using a “one-for-one model”, which means for every one garment purchased, one will be donated to the charity Smart Works.
She added: “To help with this, I asked Marks & Spencer, John Lewis & Partners, Jigsaw and my friend, the designer Misha Nonoo, if they were willing to design a capsule collection of more classic options for a workwear wardrobe. Taking the idea further, many of the brands agreed to use the one-for-one model: for each item purchased by a customer, one is donated to the charity. Not only does this allow us to be a part of each other’s story, it reminds us we are in it together.”

Kristen Stewart: Karl Lagerfeld wasn’t pretentious

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Stewart has opened up on her experiences with the late Karl Lagerfeld insisting he wasn’t “intimidating” and was “shockingly unpretentious”.
The 29-year-old actress has praised the late Chanel creative director – who passed away on February 19 at the age of 85 – and revealed he was “incredibly inviting” and “true to himself” despite his “scary” persona, and she will always remember the piece of advice he gave her about being a creative individual.
She said: “It’s funny how he presents – so austere and so scary. He wasn’t though. He was incredibly inviting – insanely, shockingly unpretentious. He liked what he liked because he liked it. He was a fancy motherf***er, but it was true to him. It’s almost like he sensed he was intimidating, so he was like, ‘No. To have a creative heart is daunting, but let’s get it beating faster and harder.'”
The ‘Charlies Angels’ star – who has been a Chanel ambassador since 2013 – was always “encouraged” to be herself by Lagerfeld and his words of advice helped “shape” her own style.
She added: “He was always touching you while speaking to you. There’s just a feeling that he gave me, an encouraging attaboy thing that shapes you in really profound ways.”
Kristen loves working with the prestigious French fashion house because it’s a brand that is “honest” and real.
Speaking to the September 2019 Style Issue of Vanity Fair magazine, she said: “With Chanel, I’ve never been made to feel like I was telling a story that wasn’t being pulled out of me in a really honest way.”

Ellie Goulding preferred ‘men’s style’ growing up

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding preferred “men’s style” when she was growing up.
The 32-year-old pop star has opened up about her own personal style and how her wardrobe has evolved over her long-running career, and the ‘Hate Me’ songstress insists she always “loved fashion” and would copy Courtney Love and Gwen Stefani’s signature “grunge” styles because she thought it “looked cool”.
She said: “I loved Gwen Stefani. Brody from The Distillers, Courtney Love. I loved a grunge look. I think I preferred the men’s style. I copied guys in bands, like Incubus. I did love fashion, but I knew I wouldn’t be seen dead in a dress. I just wanted to look cool.”
The ‘Sixteen’ singer also recalled wearing “big flared jeans” and “hoodies” when she was growing up in Herefordshire, England, because she would go to raves in the countryside where everyone wore the same clothes.
She shared: “I grew up in the English countryside, and I grew up on a mixture of folk music and a bit of rave music because out in the countryside, we didn’t have country music, we just had rave music and dance music and we’d have these raves out in the countryside, in the fields and forests and stuff.
“We did wear hoodies, but we also wore big, flared jeans. We wore these sort of ’70s jeans, but it was very grunge. Everyone just copied each other, and everyone copied their idols and bands. Punk bands and stuff like that.”
Since then, Ellie’s style has become more refined, and she has praised her new stylist, Nathan Klein, who worked on her 2018 music video ‘Close To Me’, for having such “amazing visions”.
Opening up about the visual, Ellie told W magazine: “That’s my new stylist, Nathan, who is a genius. He’s a wizard, he’s an artist. He comes up with these amazing images and visions for me, and everything he puts me in I just love.
“Sometimes it’s hard to find the right stylist and he just appreciates me as an artist, and really wants me to shine through what I wear. ‘Close To Me’ was his first project with me.”

Marc Jacobs was inspired by Nirvana

OHMYGOSSIP — Marc Jacobs was inspired by Nirvana when he designed his iconic Perry Ellis Spring 1993 collection.
The 56-year-old fashion designer is set to receive MTV’s first-ever Fashion Trailblazer Award at the upcoming Video Music Awards as a partnership between the television council and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
And the fashion guru – who famously worked with the band Sonic Youth for their 1992 music video ‘Sugar Kane’ – has now opened up about being influenced by the grunge scene in the ’90s, and creating his Perry Ellis line – which was reissued in 2018 due to its popularity – that was heavily inspired by the ‘Come As You Are’ rockers.
He said: “Nobody had introduced me to Nirvana. It was like a magnet, and that’s how I feel a lot of my life was. It wasn’t something I sought out; it just affected me immediately.
“I had a primitive connection to Sonic Youth and Nirvana and a lot of other things at that time. But again, it felt very authentic and not that I had to learn it or find it. That was my same experience with punk rock back in the ’70s, when I just saw how cool the kids looked who were a part of that scene that it drew me to hear those bands.”
Marc also recalled hearing the 1991 Nirvana track ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ for the first time, and immediately thinking it was a very “cool” track.
He told US Vogue: “I remember travelling to Europe – I was in Berlin, and I walked into a bar with some friends, and I heard ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. Then I went to San Francisco at some point, and it was playing, and I was just like, ‘This is so big.’ It felt very big even in kind of under-the-radar places. Even my thoughts about MTV then were that, although it seemed like it had a commercial responsibility, it was definitely aware of what was cool.”

Edward Enninful says co-editing Meghan’s Vogue issue was an honour

OHMYGOSSIP — Edward Enninful says co-editing Duchess Meghan’s British Vogue September 2019 issue was “a wonderful surprise”.
The 37-year-old royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry in May 2018 – has teamed up with the iconic fashion bible’s Editor-in-Chief to produce the prestigious fall issue, which has been titled ‘Forces for Change’, and focuses on the “values, causes and people making impact in the world today”.
Instead of featuring herself, the Duchess of Sussex chose 15 inspirational women for the cover, including Adwoa Aboah, Gemma Chan, Laverne Cox, Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek and Jameela Jamil, and Edward insisted it was an “honour” to be able to collaborate with the UK’s “most influential beacon of change”.
He said: “To have the country’s most influential beacon of change guest edit British Vogue at this time has been an honour, a pleasure and a wonderful surprise.”
Within the pages is an interview with Meghan conducted by her friend, former First Lady Michelle Obama, and a “candid” chat with her husband, The Duke of Sussex – with whom Meghan has two-month-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor – and Dr. Jane Goodall.
The cover has also been specially designed so that when its held up to the face, readers can see their own face in the refection of the 16th box to be made to feel a part of the “collective”, and the fashion mogul admitted that the royal decided not to be on the title’s front page because she didn’t want to be “boastful”.
Speaking in the magazine, he said: “As you will see from her selections throughout this magazine, she is also willing to wade into more complex and nuanced areas, whether they concern female empowerment, mental health, race or privilege.
“From the very beginning, we talked about the cover – whether she would be on it or not. In the end, she felt that it would be in some ways a ‘boastful’ thing to do for this particular project. She wanted, instead, to focus on the women she admires.”
A statement on the official Sussex Royal Instagram on Monday (29.07.19) saw Meghan describe the process as “rewarding, educational and inspiring”.
The former actress said: “Guest Editing the September issue of British Vogue has been rewarding, educational and inspiring. To deep dive into this process, working quietly behind the scenes for so many months, I am happy to now be able to share what we have created. A huge thanks to all of the friends who supported me in this endeavour, lending their time and energy to help within these pages and on the cover. Thank you for saying “Yes!” – and to Edward, thank you for this wonderful opportunity.”

Margot Robbie looks her best when she’s happy

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie looks her best when she is happy and “smiling”.
The 29-year-old actress is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and has now admitted that she feels at her most “attractive” when she is living in the “moment” and “being free” because women are “strong” and “feminine” when they are “genuinely having fun”.
She said: “Women are strong, and distinctly feminine characteristics are also distinctly strong characteristics. Being feminine isn’t a sign of weakness any more. Something I’ve been talking about with my girlfriends lately is that we all look our best when we’re smiling and having fun – when I catch people in that moment when they’re genuinely laughing, that’s when they’re glowing and look gorgeous. I think having fun and being free is the most attractive thing … doing whatever makes you feel your best so that you show your best qualities to the world.”
Although Margot’s beauty confidence comes from within, fragrance is very important to her and her perfume taste has evolved over the years from the scents she was exposed to as a young girl by her mother Sarie Kessler.
The ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ star – who is an ambassador for Chanel fragrances – told The Daily Telegraph’s Stella magazine: “My earliest memories go back to when I was a little girl, smelling my mum’s perfume when she gave me a hug. I couldn’t wait until I was grown up enough to wear it. My teen years were filled with sickly sweet, muskier scents, then in my 20s I experimented with more masculine, spicy fragrances.
“I was trying to figure out who I was; I tried every hairstyle and hair colour [too], and then eventually you get to a point where you know what works for you, which is where I’m at now. Today, I appreciate feminine, floral scents like Gabrielle Chanel Essence.”
It is no secret to anyone who has seen her on screen that Margot has an incredible figure and she admits she does have to stick to a healthy diet and fitness routine to stay slim, but she will always make sure to treat herself and “have fun” with food to maintain a good balance in her life.
She said: “I love food, I love wine and I love having a good time with my friends. But I also don’t love the feeling of knowing that I don’t look my best. I’m always going to be walking the line between having as much fun as possible and continuing to take care of myself. “Eating well and exercise need to be prevalent in my life so that I can feel my best, but I don’t want to dwell on it too much.”

Jameela Jamil was told she was ‘too fat and old’ to move to make it in the US

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil was told she was “too old” and “fat” to chase her American dream aged 28.
The 33-year-old actress – who has made a name for herself by speaking out issues such as gender inequality and the trend for celebrities promoting weight loss products – has recalled the time she was bodyshamed by someone who advised her against moving to the US because of her ethnicity and weight, but Jameela didn’t listen and counts it as one of the “bravest” decisions she’s ever made in her life.
She said: “The bravest thing I’ve done in my life was move to Los Angeles even though I was told I was too old at 28 and too fat. And they said I was too ethnic. Going anyway and not listening to people, recognising that people were projecting their own personal fear onto me, and just getting up and booking a one way ticket and coming to America with no visa – sorry, (President) Trump – no money, really, because I had spent all of it on charity, and I had no contacts, and no friends here. I did it anyway, and I think trying is winning and everything else is just cake and orgasms.”
And Jameela’s move to the US was inspired by her body “challenging” her and suffering a breast cancer scare at aged 28, which made her compile a bucket list of everything she’d ever “dreamed” of doing.
‘The Good Place’ W magazine: “Once every decade, my body decides to challenge me. When I was seventeen, I damaged my back very badly in a car accident and that taught me how to respect my body in a way that I’d never done before. When I was twenty-eight, a doctor found a giant lump in my breast and I had a week in which I would find out whether or not it was cancer. And during that week, I made a bucket list and the number one thing on that list was move to California because I’d always dreamed of it. So, when I found out it wasn’t cancer, I had to have an operation and six weeks from the operation date you’re allowed to fly.”
The ‘Good Place’ star later booked a ticket “six weeks” from the operation to have the lump in her breast removed.
She added: “And so I booked my ticket for exactly six weeks from that day, and I got on a plane on my own. I had no idea what was going to happen here. And I’m not talented at sex, so I couldn’t be a porn star. It’s just not the thing that’s great about me.”

Lizzo: I struggle to embrace my natural hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo “struggles” to embrace her “natural hair” and still relies on “wigs and weaves”.
The 31-year-old rapper-and-singer – who recently partnered with vodka brand Absolut to launch their Juice range – has opened up about her own journey of “self-love”, and insisted it will “continue forever” because she is in the process of learning to appreciate her locks in their organic “state” without the use of extensions or styling.
She said: “Loving who you are should start in the buff. You should essentially, by the end of your self-love journey, be completely in love with who you are with no makeup, no extra hair, no styling.
“Nudity is something that I’ve explored and it’s exciting for me. The final frontier for me is the wigs and the weaves – my natural hair, my natural state truly. I’m working on it. It’s a struggle. We’re not there yet.
“There’s no top of the mountain for self-love. It’s a journey that continues forever, so I think it’s a part of it. You gotta love that part. That’s the juiciest part of you though.”
And the ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker “loves” being able to play around with her make-up and fashion looks when she is on the red carpet, and appreciates her team helping her explore “big ideas” and “jokes” that she can bring to life.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “I really love my team, my creative team: hair, makeup, styling. We get to just really play around. We love exploring with colour, shapes, motifs, big ideas and jokes.
“Turning jokes into a red-carpet look is what we do best. So I feel like right now, there are some people who aren’t like this, but I like to wear my heart on my sleeve. My personality, you can see it. I don’t even have to say nothing. I walk into a room and you know what’s up.”
Lizzo – real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson – also spoke about her summer style and she intends to wear lingerie sets as outerwear and she’s going to match the underwear with sneakers.
She added: “You know what I’m super into: matching sets. This summer, I have a bunch of matching panty and bra sets or, like, briefs. To be honest with you, swear to God, I’m just about to start rocking that outside with some socks and some sneakers. Not just panties but the boxer-briefs, kind of like shorts. And that nice little panty top that matches with some hoops, some jewellery, some fresh bed hair, maybe a brow, a gloss, a boot. That’s it!”

When I’m on stage my arms are all over the place so I want to celebrate underarms.”

Liv Tyler says dad Steven Tyler is ‘so into skincare’

OHMYGOSSIP — Liv Tyler bonds with her dad Steven Tyler over skincare.
In a new video for Vogue, in which the 42-year-old actress and model details her intricate skincare routine, Liv confessed that the Aerosmith frontman is “so into skincare” and admitted she spends hours “just going over products” when she goes to visit him.
She said: “My dad is so into skincare; when I go visit him, I usually spend half the time in the bathroom with him, just going over products”
“He’s got his whole bathroom filled. But if you look at him, he’s turned 70 and he has the most beautiful skin, and it’s because he takes really good care of it.”
It wasn’t just her dad who encouraged Liv to take care of her skin and the ‘Lord of the Rings’ star revealed that her “obsession” with skincare started at a “very young age” and was inspired by her grandmother.
She said: “So I guess my obsession with skincare comes from when I was a little girl.
“My grandmother used to, after the bath get me out of the bath and she’d lay me down and she’d moisturise my skin and that was even when I was like six I remember that.
“She said you have to moisturise every day to keep your skin beautiful and well taken care of and sort of fresh so she taught me that at a very young age.”
In the video, Liv cites the Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask as one of her “favourite” products and insisted the mask draws out “any impurity” and provides a “good glow”.
She said: “This one is kind of an old favourite.
“It’s got clay and mud and different things in it so it’s really good to sort of draw out any impurities in your skin and it also gives it a good glow.”

Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian recreates her iconic Versace look

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley’s son Damian recreated one of her most famous red carpet looks.
The 17-year-old actor and model has paid homage to his mother by re-imagining the ‘safety pin’ Versace dress Elizabeth, 54, wore to the after party of Richard Curtis’ ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’ in 1994 with her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant.
Attending the launch party for Pat McGrath Labs new product range Sublime Perfection The System at Selfridges in London, Damian wore a pair of black cigarette trousers and a matching black blazer emblazoned with seven oversized gold safety pins.
Damian fronted the Sublime Perfection campaign and recently took to Instagram to share his excitement about being the new face of the brand.
He wrote: “So excited to show you guys something secret [that] I’ve been working on with the divine, Pat McGrath”.
It appears the feeling between the model and the designer is mutual as McGrath previously dubbed Hurley “a bright, young, emerging star”.
He said: “A supermodel is born. It’s no surprise that as the offspring of the iconic Elizabeth Hurley, Damian is a bright, young, emerging star who has an absolutely magnetic personality, energy, and an exceptional look.”
Damian added of McGrath: “Pat is an artist and visionary, who has truly changed the face of beauty, especially for my generation.”
Despite the dress being one of Elizabeth’s most iconic looks, the ‘Royals’ star previously admitted that the dress was “fished a dress out of a white plastic bag”.
She said: “I urgently needed to find a dress to wear for Hugh [Grant]’s premiere, and in those days I had no idea about fashion.
“I remember going to an office where they literally fished a dress out of a white plastic bag.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A documentary about Ralph Lauren is set to be released later this year.
The new HBO feature-length film titled ‘Very Ralph’ will chronicle the life of the 79-year-old designer, who founded his eponymous Polo menswear brand in 1968, and his six decades in the fashion industry.
The film will tell the story of his childhood in the Bronx as well as detail his five-decade-long marriage with Ricky Anne Loew-Beer, the early days of his brand, response to negative criticism and his innovations in design and advertising.
‘Very Ralph’ will include an array of interviews with friends and family of Ralph, including late creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, who died earlier this year aged 85.
Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Calvin Klein, Hillary Clinton, Martha Stewart, Diane von Furstenberg and Jessica Chastain make appearances in the documentary.
The film will be directed and produced by award-winning documentarian Susan Lacy and will premiere on 12 November on HBO.

Ralph – whose label is celebrating its 50th anniversary – admitted at the time that the accolade is “very special” to him and revealed that his iconic designs have always been “inspired” by British culture.
He said: “To have the honorary KBE conferred on me by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and presented to me personally by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales is an honour I have humbly accepted.
“I have always been inspired by the history, traditions and culture of Great Britain and the historic relationship our two countries have shared. This is one of the most meaningful honours bestowed at this very special moment in my 50th anniversary.”

Ciara has lost 20lbs since the start of career

OHMYGOSSIP — Ciara has lost 20lbs since the start of her career.
The ‘Like A Boy’ singer says it wasn’t until 15 years ago when she first emerged on the music scene, that she started to follow a strict meal plan of five small plates a day.
Ciara told PEOPLE: “When I first started in my career, I weighed 20lbs more than I weigh now.
“That was the first time I got introduced to eating five small meals a day to impact my workout.
“When you’re eating small meals, your body starts to function like a well-oiled machine.
“You’re using the restroom regularly so your body is really on clock.”
The ‘Level Up’ singer – who has the help of personal trainer Decker Davis – claims eating smaller meals still works for her today, and shared that her secret to good health is to drink a lot of water.
Ciara said: “I literally drink a gallon and a half a day. “It’s amazing how you can work out hard all day, but if you don’t eat right you won’t see the results you want to see and if you don’t drink that water you won’t get the results as fast as you want to get them.”
The ‘1,2 Step’ hitmaker – who has two-year-old daughter Sienna with husband Russell Wilson and five-year-old son Future Zahir with ex-partner Future – focuses on jump training, cardiovascular work, and weight lifting to help her hit her target areas.
When working out with her husband Russell, she said: “It’s … what I like to call ‘good love competition’. “We motivate each other and it’s really fun.”
Ciara previously admitted being healthy is “a way of life” for her and she always tries to raise the bar higher when it comes to her own fitness.
She said: “I feel like it’s all about your own personal understanding and expectations that you have of yourself. I definitely, in my mind, want to always raise the bar high because being healthy has to be a way of life for me. And that’s the level I set. I don’t want to set a level where I am trying to make other people happy, either.
“I think it’s important to always raise the bar high, keep the bar high in life for whatever you’re trying to achieve because that’s gonna ultimately allow you to keep doing bigger and better things. I think it boils down to your own understanding of what makes you feel beautiful.”
