Michelle Keegan praises Adidas Originals for Very range

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan thinks the Adidas Originals for Very range is “really cool”.
The 32-year-old actress is delighted to modelling the new collection as she is a big fan of the way the sportswear brand have updated some “old classics” with a “twist”, as well as adding some more “unexpected” pieces.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine of the collection: “It’s a twist on the old classics so there are some pieces in there that you’ll really recognise and some that are slightly more unexpected and really cool.
“I love the way they’ve experimented with their colours and patterns, making it a really exciting collection.”
On her favourite pieces, the former ‘Coronation Street’ street actress added: “There are some great pieces. I think it would have to be the pink hoodie and joggers, or the black off-the-shoulder dress with the iconic three stripes down the side.
“The tracksuit is super comfy – great for flying in too – and the dress is so versatile.
“I also love the trainers, especially the pastel pink pair.”
And it’s no surprise Michelle – who is married to Mark Wright – singled out the sports shoes as they’re her favourite things to wear.
She said: “I love to wear a pair of leggings with a statement jumper or a T-shirt.
“If I could live in trainers all day I totally would. They’re so easy to wear and they go with everything.”
The ‘Our Girl’ star also loves the fact the range is so colourful.
She said: “It’s great to see there is a lot more colour being incorporated in activewear.
“I always like to mix up my looks so it’s brilliant there are so many options out there.”

Valentina Sampaio’s Victoria’s Secret casting is ‘hugely important moment’

OHMYGOSSIP — Valentina Sampaio has hailed her Victoria’s Secret casting a “hugely important moment”.
The Brazilian native will be the first openly transgender model to work with the iconic brand in its 42-year history and believes the move is “a step toward more inclusivity”.
In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Valentina said: “Being appointed the first transgender model for the brand is a hugely important moment not only for myself but my community and beyond. I hope [this can] be a huge step toward more inclusivity and representation for everybody.”
The 22-year-old beauty had always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret model but found fame when she landed on the front of French Vogue’s March 2017 issue, also becoming the first transgender model to feature on the cover of the magazine, and she hopes other brands will follow in their footsteps.
Valentina said: “My dream [now] is to live in a world where representation is celebrated. I believe brands are beginning to see the value of inclusiveness, but there is a lot more work to do in our industry, culture, and society. I truly hope to be able to work with more brands that understand the importance of this…
“I’m really happy and proud to be working with Victoria’s Secret, especially during this time of change. I feel very proud of my achievements, but this is just the beginning. It is important that I use my voice and my visibility to try to change the status quo.”
So far, Valentina is imagining a world where it isn’t consider newsworthy when a transgender model appears in a lingerie campaign.
She continued: “Imagine a world where it is not news that a transgender model has been appointed by a fashion brand. Wouldn’t that be amazing?! Because it would mean that it is normal and it is happening all the time. I want to see this across all communities. Ultimately I want to live in a world with more respect for every kind of human being.”
The model’s casting became a groundbreaking moment after the brand was previously under fire when its former chief marketing officer, Ed Razek, spoke against the inclusion of transgender and plus-size talent in the brand’s campaign imagery and fashion shows.
He said: “Why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special. That’s what it is.”
However, Razek later apologised for his comments in a statement published on the Victoria’s Secret Twitter account, writing: “My remark regarding the inclusion of transgender models in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show came across as insensitive. I apologise.”
“To be clear, we would absolutely cast a transgender model for the show.”

Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian do drunk make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian knocked back tequila shots whilst filming a make-up tutorial.
The ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ stars tested the Lip Kit guru’s upcoming Birthday Collection, The Money Collection, in Kylie’s ‘Get Ready With Me’ vlog on her YouTube channel and despite being under the influence, they were impressed with their efforts.
As the 21-year-old beauty attempted to apply concealer, she said: “I’ve honestly never done my make-up intoxicated, but I’m doing pretty good.”
The self-made billionaire and her 35-year-old half-sister – who has 15-month-old daughter True with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson – were seen getting increasingly drunk on camera as a counter on the bottom of the screen counted how many shots they were taking.
Halfway through testing the new collection, Khloe complained: “I have to wake up with my baby in the morning.”
Kylie had arrived at the studio carrying her own personalised pink bottle of Don Julio 1942 embellished in glitter with her name on it and the reality TV star admitted she’d predicted the shoot would be “funny”.
A drunk Kylie said: “I knew this was going to be funny but now that we’re actually doing it this is hilarious.”
The two stars also made sure to call momager Kris Jenner and beg her to join in on the fun.
Although Kris declined the invitation and called them “drunky monkeys”, her boyfriend Corey Gamble still made a cameo appearance.
By the end of the video, the pair had downed nine shots each.
Kylie’s birthday collection drops on Saturday (10.08.19), the same day as her lavish 22nd birthday celebration in Capri, Italy.
For the occasion, Kylie – who has 16-month-old daughter Stormi with partner Travis Scott – has chartered the mega yacht Tranquility, which costs $1.2 million per week to rent.
However, the 3000-ft ship comes with 10 cabins, a sauna, a helipad, beauty salon, theater, steam room, jacuzzi, swimming pool and a 29-person cabin crew. .
Sofia Richie – who makes an appearance in the make-up video – is also expected be on the trip along with 36-year-old boyfriend Scott Disick, the former partner of Kylie’s older half-sister Kourtney Kardashian.

Naomi Watts let her friends test on her

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Watts played the guinea pig when she was creating her beauty business Onda.
The 50-year-old actress became connected two friends – a beauty aficionado and an entrepreneur – and let them test out their products on her skin.
Speaking to Shape magazine, Naomi said: “They started sending me the products, and I was experimenting and continuing to immerse myself in the clean-beauty world.”
Naomi makes sure her beauty company reflects on her own minimalist make-up and avid skincare routine.
She said: “I’m not a five-minute girl with my skin. My skin has become extra sensitive and reactive, so I realised that I needed to cut out the chemicals that were in the products I was using.
“Keeping it clean is really key. That means a double cleanse with the right cleanser: an oil cleanser for removing eye makeup, followed by a milk cleanser.
“…Then I’ll do a mist, followed by a face oil–Saint Jane has a lovely CBD [cannabidiol] one that’s just great for reducing redness and inflammation. Sometimes I mix the oil with a moisturiser… Then obviously I use sunscreen on top.”
The ‘Luce’ actress, however, “is a five-minute girl” when it comes to make-up, focusing on only her eyebrows, cheeks and lips.
Naomi said: “I’m not very good at putting on makeup or doing my hair, to be honest.
“I’m a five-minute girl with getting dressed. So the least amount of make-up is the best for me–I use about four products.”
Minimalism doesn’t only apply to beauty products for the ‘Gypsy’ actress.
The mum of two – who has sons Samuel, 10, and Sasha, 12, with former partner Liev Schrieber – had to up the intensity when it came to working out.
She said: “As you get older, you have to work harder to keep muscle tone, so that’s why I do strength training with weights.
“Not the three-pound kind but with higher-level weights using barbells.”
Strength training is only one of the ways that Naomi pushes herself to keep fit.
She continued: “I have a trainer, because I can’t exercise very well if I’m not being instructed. It’s as if I suddenly develop amnesia: I can’t remember any moves. And nobody is watching, so I’m not going to care if I do three instead of 20.”

Lais Ribeiro sticks to skincare routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Lais Ribeiro has been following the same seven-step skincare routine for years to ensure her complexion stays glowing.
The Victoria’s Secret model uses a variation of face rollers and metallic sheet masks to balance her skin and doesn’t change her habits as she knows what works for her.
In a video for Harper’s Bazaar’s ‘Go To Bed With Me’ video series, the 28 year old said: “My skin is the combination of dry and oily so the products that I use are always trying to be balance.”
Lais recommends wiping all make-up away with Neutrogena’s face wipes before using Fresh’s Soy Face Cleaner to make sure all the makeup is gone.
The Sports Illustrated cover girl moves on to an odd-looking metallic foil that traps the anti-aging Advanced Night Repair serum between the mask and the face, so it doesn’t prematurely evaporate.
She said of the ritual: “Sometimes I go to L.A. or all those places that are desert and it’s really dry. I feel like my skin soaks up all the moisturiser. This one seems more moisturising.”
Lais compared the face mask to her Givenchy Fashion Week show a couple of years back where the make up took over five hours to complete.
To reduce puffiness, Lais loves to roll her face with the Herbivore Rose Quartz Facial Roller.
The model applies two products from her favourite skincare line, iS Clinical: the Youth Complex and Reparative Moisture Emulsion.
She said: “Because I have dark skin, I have dark spots and…it’s really helpful before…going to bed for the dark spots”.
The rest of her products, Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and Kaya Jungle Firming Body Oil, focus on her dry body skin.
Lais finishes off her time-consuming routine with a Agave+ Nighttime Lip Therapy lip balm.
Recently, Lais got a tattoo tribute for her autistic son Alexandre, 11.
She showed off the inking on Instagram and wrote: “Don’t know if you guys know and I was never open about it but my son was diagnosed with autism 5 years ago. My first tattoo is his name on the back of my neck and finally I found what I wanted to be my second.
“I decided to do the symbol of autism( and kids with special needs) as a tattoo and it’s beautiful and perfect just the way I wanted to be thanks to @robgreennyc THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m so happy about i, it means A LOT to me! [sic]”.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s lingerie rules

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jessica Parker says the most important thing about lingerie is that it should be “comfortable”.
The 54-year-old actress – who became a brand ambassador for Intimissimi in September 2018 – revealed underwear plays a vital role in helping her feel confident and making her feel like her “best self”.
She said: “”It’s important to feel comfortable and feel your best self. I think most women who wear bras agree. Comfort, silhouette and no visible lines are key!”
The ‘Sex And The City’ star – who has son James, 16, and 10-year-old twin daughters Marion and Tabitha with husband Matthew Broderick – can be seen dancing around in her underwear in the brand’s new campaign to the 1962 Italian track ‘Guarda Come Dondolo’.
She told PEOPLE: “Dance plays a role in my life as I remain a devoted and enthusiastic audience and of course a great dancer in the kitchen with my children. The first time I heard the song, I loved it. We all did on the set.”
And Sarah went on to reveal she loves being part of the Intimissimi team because they understand her core family values.
She added: “I love them – the family, the smart, creative, wonderful, talented team that I get to work with and for. Every engagement is fun, creative, beautifully handled.
“Like so many working people (more so mothers likely) I do my best, try to take care of my family first and hope that I’m offering my best efforts to all those who I love and who are colleagues.
“I’m very much inspired but so many millions of other working mothers who are doing so without the resources that I am fortunate to have to rely on.”

Salma Hayek ‘doesn’t care’ about getting older

OHMYGOSSIP — Salma Hayek “doesn’t care” about getting older and is “happily” embracing her body.
The 52-year-old actress has reflected on her iconic 1998 InStyle magazine cover, which saw her as the first Latina woman to grace the front of the publication, and after previously worrying about hitting 30, she no longer “minds” when she enters a new decade of her life.
Speaking to InStyle, while reflecting on past cover shoots for the fashion magazine’s 25th Anniversary Issue, she said: “I shot my first InStyle cover when I was 29, in 1998. It’s very dear to me because I was the first Latina on a What’s Hot Now issue. What I remember most about my 20s is that I didn’t want to be 30.
“In America they used to tell actresses they expired at 30. That’s why I was scared. Now I don’t care about getting older. When I turned 40 and then 50, I didn’t mind at all. I am just so happy that this cover exists as evidence that there was once a time when I could go braless! That doesn’t happen anymore.”
Salma was “doing really well” in the soap circuit in Mexico before coming to the United States to embark on her Hollywood film career, but the ‘Frida’ star admitted she took a “risk” in leaving her home country to pursue her dream.
She said: “Looking back at my career, I realise how big of a risk it was to come to the United States in the first place and start again as an actress. I could have stayed doing soaps in Mexico — I was doing really well there.
“But my dream was to do film. And I’m a big risk-taker. I’ve learned that when you have clarity about what you really want in life and you commit to giving it your best, things usually work out for you in the end.”

Christy Turlington felt ‘honoured’ at British Vogue’s September issue

OHMYGOSSIP — Christy Turlington felt “honoured” to be part of British Vogue’s “special” ‘Forces For Change’ September issue.
The 50-year-old supermodel was one of 15 inspirational women featured on the cover of the fashion bible’s prestigious fall issue, alongside Adwoa Aboah, Gemma Chan, Laverne Cox, Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek and Jameela Jamil, which was guest edited by the Duchess of Sussex.
Christy was chosen because of her work with her non-profit organisation Every Mother Counts and she admitted she felt humbled that the royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before her marriage to Prince Harry – and British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, recognised her “advocacy efforts” for the charity, which improves maternal health care.
She captioned a photo of the magazine on Instagram: “It’s truly an honor to be one of the 15 women featured on the September cover of @britishvogue’s #ForcesforChange issue.
“Every cover I have shot for this magazine since my first in 1986 has been special and with each cover shoot and story there’s a greater story behind it. This one is uniquely different than all the others because a. it’s 34 years later and b. I share it with women I have admired and respected from a distance.
“This cover has brought us virtually closer and has helped to amplify our individual voices by bringing us together. The reason I started @everymomcounts, the organization I founded in 2010, is my belief that every woman deserves the same access to safe and respectful maternity care and that every mother deserves the chance to not only survive pregnancy and childbirth but also to thrive in motherhood.
“Thank you @sussexroyal & @edward_enninful for the recognition not only of me and my advocacy efforts but for seeing the importance of the inclusion of maternal health among the other global challenges and barriers we are collectively working to break down. @therealpeterlindbergh @therealgracecoddington @bartpumpkin @diane.kendal (sic)”

Natalie Portman praises Maria Grazia Chiuri for ‘understanding’ women

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman has praised Maria Grazia Chiuri for designing garments that “understand” women.
The 38-year-old actress – who has been the face of Miss Dior since 2010 – thinks Christian Dior’s first female artistic director, has been a breath of fresh air for the fashion industry because she has created pieces that are for an everyday woman who likes simplicity.
She said: “It’s wonderful to have a woman designing for other women, someone who understands us, and knows that maybe we might want to wear a T-shirt with a skirt and flats, or have pockets in our dresses.
“If a woman can’t breathe in her dress, what does that mean? It’s the most literal symbol of oppression that you could possibly have – it’s so political.”
And Natalie “loves” how beauty can make her feel confident and ready to take on the day.
She added: “I love beauty and I love glamour, and they can be part of the sweetness of life in the face of really dark things – and that has great worth.”
The ‘Black Swan’ actress also feels “inspired” by Dior’s sister Catherine – who influenced for his first fragrance Miss Dior – because she represented “enormous courage” and was a member of the French Resistance, and then deported to a concentration camp in Germany in 1944.
Speaking in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK magazine, Natalie said: “It’s incredible because Catherine was someone of enormous idealism, of enormous courage, of enormous independence. So it was these inner qualities that inspired Christian Dior; and that’s what I aspire to, in my own life.”

Dakota Johnson ‘really sad’ she lost front tooth gap

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Johnson is “really sad” that the gap in her front teeth has closed.
The 29-year-old actress has worn a permanent retainer since she was 13 to correct her smile, however after experiencing “neck problems”, an orthodontist removed the tooth aligner and Dakota’s signature gap naturally closed by itself.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (06.08.19), the host told Dakota: “First of all, the fact that this is a news-worthy event in our world right now is pretty sha-ka-khan to me.”
She replied: “I had a permanent retainer since I was like, 13, and it was just glued to the back of my teeth, and I was having a lot of neck problems recently so my orthodontist, she decided it would be a good idea to take it off and see if my jaw sort of expanded.
“It helped me, and my gap closed by itself. I’m really sad about it too.”
The ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ star sparked debate online when fans noticed her front gap was missing during the Hollywood premiere of her new film, ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon’, last week.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “Woke up to find out Dakota Johnson no longer has her tooth gap, I’ll cry myself back to sleep (sic)”
Others noticed it spelled the end of what Johnson previously described as her “only skill” in a 2017 video for Vanity Fair, which has been viewed nearly 3 million times.
The video was titled ‘How Much Stuff Can Dakota Johnson Fit in Her Gap Teeth?’ and saw the actress demonstrate all the things she could fit between her two front teeth.
She hilariously said in the clip: “Today I’m going to demonstrate how many things I can fit inside my gap tooth, because that’s my only skill.”

Nicole Scherzinger: I embrace my curvier figure

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger has learnt to embrace her “curvier” figure.
The 41-year-old singer is known for her toned physique and intense fitness regimes, however she says she has become more accepting of her “fluctuating weight” as she has gotten older and will always make sure to listen to what her body needs to maintain balance.
She said: “I’ve always been quite health conscious and always looked after myself. Obviously as you get a little older, it’s a little longer to bounce back. I love my carbs, I love my sweets so I’m noticing that they kind of love to stick on me and my thighs are a lot larger and heavier as well.
“One of the biggest differences is I’ve just learned to accept my body as a woman more. Adding a few extra pounds here and there and fluctuating my weight is not a bad thing necessarily. And to embrace it when I’m curvier.
“I’ve always worked out. I go in cycles of doing it relentlessly every single day. Then if I don’t, I’ll go, ‘It’s OK.’ Sometimes because I travel so much it’s hard to keep that regimen up. But I think everything in balance and moderation.”
The former Pussycat Dolls singer was a “perfectionist” when she was growing up and would go on “extreme diets” to achieve her desired body image.
She told WHO.com.au: “There’s so much I would tell my younger self but [it’s] to give yourself permission to be kinder to yourself. I think we’re so hard on ourselves.
“I know I was always a perfectionist and really hard on myself and back in the day I used to diet so much more and go to the extreme and I’d be like, ‘It’s not enough,’ then I look back and I’m like, ‘God, what I would do to look like that.’ So really celebrate and embrace where you are now and I don’t diet as much anymore. I try to do more balance and don’t go to extremes because it kind of just strips you of your joy and peace and happiness, you know?”

Donatella Versace shocked at reaction to Elizabeth Hurley’s safety pin dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Donatella Versace was shocked at the reaction to Elizabeth Hurley’s infamous safety pin dress.
Just 24 hours before the London premiere of 1994 movie ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, Elizabeth asked Donatella to find her a dress to wear to accompany her then-boyfriend Hugh Grant and Donatella, 64, had only one gown available, the black outfit with safety pins that Helena Christensen had modeled in Gianni Versace’s spring show.
She told InStyle magazine: “I know, you’d expect something more interesting behind one of the most famous red-carpet dresses in history, but as for many things, chance played a big role in making it all happen. No one could really fathom such an astonishing reaction, or that Liz would steal the spotlight from everyone else.
“People across the globe started talking about the dress. That’s when we started to see the power of the red carpet and celebrities in creating topics of conversation.”
Meanwhile, Elizabeth, 54, previously admitted she was “unprepared” for the reaction to the iconic gown.
She said: “I was so unprepared for what happened that night. I urgently needed to find a dress to wear for Hugh’s premiere, and in those days I had no idea about fashion.
“I remember going to an office where they literally fished a dress out of a white plastic bag. I took it home and did my own hair and make-up, fighting Hugh for the mirror, which wasn’t even full-length, in our tiny one-bedroom flat. It was all very unglamorous compared to how things get done these days.”
And Donatella thinks the gown – which was created by her late brother Gianni Versace – couldn’t have been worn better by anyone else because Elizabeth “embodied” a strong “woman”.
She added: “Gianni made that dress for a woman who is sure of herself and who isn’t afraid to break the rules. Liz embodied all of this in an extraordinary way.”

Giambattista Valli ‘mesmerised’ by Rihanna

OHMYGOSSIP — Giambattista Valli was “mesmerised” by Rihanna in his pink gown at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
Just days after Valli’s stunning pink tulle creation debuted on the runway, Rihanna, 31, wore it to the Grammys and the designer was thrilled at how Rihanna looked in the iconic dress.
He told InStyle: “I was mesmerized not only by how well she wore the dress but also by her fresh and effortless beauty. She looked like she had just taken a shower and zipped up her dress to walk the red carpet.”
Rihanna admitted that when she saw the strapless, empire waist tulle dress from the Haute Couture collection online, she immediately knew she had to wear it.
The raven-haired beauty – who accessorised with a pair of statement diamond earrings – told E! Live From the Red Carpet: “I’m wearing Giambattista Valli [from his] new collection. I saw this dress on the Internet and I just fell in love with it.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna is currently concentrating on her own Fenty fashion line and has admitted to trolling her fans with her ‘No More Music’ Fenty t-shirts.
The singer has been keeping fans waiting for her ninth studio album since the release of ‘Anti’ in 2016, and recently admitted she doesn’t know when it will be released.
Asked if her $230 tops are an intentional troll, Rihanna said: “It’s [hit the Internet] and it’s full-on trolls. Please let my fans know that I’m trolling them.
“You have to get it because it’s a souvenir. That’s the closest you’ll get to music before the album.”
When asked how much longer fans would have to wait, R&B pop star admitted recently: “I wish I knew. I have blocked off a solid period of time for the studio next month.”
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ actress said it “sucks” that she can’t just put her new music out into the world, but insisted she doesn’t want to “rush” the material.
She added: “It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete. It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like, “Even if I don’t have the time to shoot videos, I’m going to put an album out.'”

In 2018, the chief marketing officer for Victoria’s Secret’s parent company, Ed Razek, caused outrage when he said he didn’t think the brand should include “transsexuals” in its famous annual lingerie show in an interview with Vogue magazine.
Just a few weeks ago, Shanina Shaik – who has walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show extravaganza in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2018 – revealed that the label has decided to pull the plug on the annual event for 2019 so that organisers can work on “branding.”

Celine Dion: Being L’Oréal ambassador is miracle

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion thinks being a beauty ambassador for L’Oréal Paris at 51 is a “miracle”.
The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ hitmaker joined forces with the beauty giant back in April, and joined Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore and Andie Macdowell to have her own partnership with the iconic brand, but the songstress “never” imagined she’d be asked to front such a campaign in her 50s, in particular because she was bullied because of her looks when she was young.
She said: “When I was young and having problems with my teeth, very, very skinny, not feeling pretty, and being bullied at school, I would never have thought that L’Oréal Paris would one day ask me, at 51 years old, to become an ambassador. It’s a miracle.”
However, Celine – who has René-Charles, 18 and eight-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy with her late husband René Angélil – has always felt confident throughout her career as a singer and has felt “supported” by her fans.
She told Allure: “Singing was a way for me to express myself, to feel supported and not judged. Over the last couple of years, I feel like I’ve grown strong and happy through dance, through friendship, through motherhood. It’s inside out”
The ‘Think Twice’ singer loves how beauty products can “change” her attitude and help her feel more confident, and insisted she is happy being in her 50s and constantly moving “forward”.
She continued: “But the things we put on ourselves: the cream, the hair colour, the conditioner, the nails, the makeup, a good outfit — it changes my demeanour.”
“I would not go back to being 17 or in my 20s or 30s. All that [youth] was wonderful, but I’m never going back in time. I’m going forward. And I can’t wait for my next birthday.”
