Cardi B is face of Reebok’s Meet You There collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B is the face of Reebok’s inclusive ‘Meet You There’ collection.
The 26-year-old rapper – who has 13-month-old daughter Kulture with her husband Offset – was named a partner and ambassador for the sporting giant, which is owned by parent company Adidas, back in November 2018, and now the star has featured in the brand’s 45-second video whilst discussing how she always stays true to herself.
Speaking in the campaign video, she said: “I just thought I was weird because everybody kept telling me that I’m weird but when I started doing videos on Instagram, and so many people claimed that they relate to me, I was like, ‘Whoa, I guess there’s a lot of weird people out there.’
“A lot of people always talking about how I talk. I have a very deep accent, and I started feeling real insecure about it, but it’s like, ‘Nah, forget it.’ I gotta be real with myself all the time. That’s what I gotta do to stay me.”
The collection is available in a huge range of sizes, from 2XS to 3XL, and caters to both men and women.
Reebok’s President Matthew O’Toole previously said: “For us, she really is emblematic of what our brand has done well over the years and that is to be bold, provocative and uninhibited.
“If we look at some of the things we’ve done with Allen Iverson or being the first to sign musicians, or more recently with Kerby [Jean-Raymond] of Pyer Moss, when we are at our best we are with people who are comfortable living out loud and Cardi fits that.”
An official statement from Reebok added: “Cardi isn’t just a world-class entertainer. She’s a mother, a style icon, a pop culture magnet and – above all else – a fearless individual. She’s broken every mold that superstars are supposed to fit into – and she’s reached the top by following nobody’s path but her own.”
Reebok has previously collaborated with a host of other music stars, including Jay Z, Pharrell Williams, Future, Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah and Eve.

Priyanka Chopra careful about beauty regime

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra is “particular” about what goes on her “money-maker” face.
The ‘Isn’t It Romantic’ star is very “careful” about her beauty routine because she doesn’t want to do anything “crazy” that could ruin her looks.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m a little particular about what goes on my face ’cause the money maker, you know, I want to be a little bit careful.
“But I, needles on face, like when they do that dermabrasion thing, she started it and I was off the chair, I was like, no, but I’m not someone who does crazy stuff to my face.
“I prefer to be old school. Moisturizer, facials, like, take care of your skin kind of thing. Lots of water, hydration.”
The 37-year-old actress – who is married to Nick Jonas – spoke up at Beautycon to urge cosmetics companies to promote diversity and insisted it is time to go “beyond conversations” about the subject.
She said: “Beauty as diversity should not be a conversation. It should be normal. So I feel like we need to go beyond the conversations now and actually see it represented and you see that in a lot of people and a lot of representation in marketing and advertising, but I think we need to go beyond it for sure.”
The ‘Baywatch’ actress credits travelling around the globe for opening up her eyes on the endless types of beauty and the cultures within it.
Priyanka continued: “I’ve been really exposed to that, which I think instills a sense of confidence in me that no matter what you look like, there is a beauty there and it’s the loss of someone else if they can’t see it.”
And the ‘Quantico’ star wants young girls to have the confidence and power that many previous generations never had.
She said: “I mean, find your confidence, you know, instead of looking for it in other people’s validation. I think that’s most important is to look in the mirror and be like, ‘I’m good with me. It does not matter what anyone else says.
” What you feel like when you walk out in the morning is the most important. Good, bad or ugly by the way. Really. I don’t feel great all day, every day and even when you feel bad, it’s OK to feel bad, it’s OK to be vulnerable.”

Rashida Jones’ foundation problem

OHMYGOSSIP — Rashida Jones struggled to find make-up artists who understood the right foundation for her skin tone.
The ‘Claws’ executive producer found there were “limited” options available for her beauty base when she began her career and the grooming teams always seemed to get the shade “wrong” but thinks a lot of progression has been made in recent years.
She told Refinery 29: “When I first started acting, I remember there being very limited options for foundation. I remember always feeling like any job I got, they would get my skin shade wrong.
“It was either too green or too light — I was kind of in the middle and they didn’t prepare for the middle. As time’s gone on, there’s more people who look like me, so there has to be a market that caters to people who look like me, which has been great.”
The former ‘Parks & Recreation’ actress believed lighting has always been a “big issue”.
She continued: “If you’re doing a scene with a person who’s pale, they have to light you differently and it changes the way that a cinematographer, director, and cameraman or camerawoman (hopefully) works. I’ve seen that grow as well. It’s been forced to evolve like everything else.”
Rashida, 43, is currently working on ‘Claws’ as the executive producer, a show about a diverse group of manicurists who enter the traditionally male world of organised crime and she wanted the programme to have an “actual representation” of diversity.
She said: “With Claws, it was very important to the network, to us as producers, and the creator, that the cast looks the way that it does — which is the way the country looks. We wanted an actual representation of diversity. But in terms of the aesthetic and the style, I think it really came from the creator, Eliot Laurence, who really wanted this elevated, outlandish, fun, playful, surreal vibe like [Spanish Filmmaker] Pedro Almodóvar’s work, which was a huge reference point.
“That means playing with colour, sexuality, and really letting these women have their own individual looks that are so distinct from each other.”

Jo Malone’s friendship-celebrating candle

OHMYGOSSIP — Jo Malone’s new candle celebrates friendship.
The limited-edition candle was created by the fragrance queen in collaboration with HELLO! magazine’s editor-in-chief Rosie Nixon and features a “layered fragrance of rich, creamy gardenia; light, fresh orange blossom; and the heavier tuberose”.
Jo told HELLO!: “They symbolise the bonds between friends. One bloom complements and enhances the next, making one another stronger. For me, when creating fragrance, I am telling you the stories of my life, and this is the story of great friends. You often need really strong notes to stand either side of one another to bring the beauty of a fragrance alive.
“Similarly, when you find a good friend, you treasure them. You hold on to the real treasures like jewels. I’m in my 50s now and I look at the real gems in my life – the people who have been there through thick and thin but who brought out the best of me.
“This is a celebration of friendship. The opportunity to say: ‘I love who you are.'”
Rosie added: “There’s something really magical about lighting a candle. It’s a really nice way of telling someone how important they are to you and to thank them.”
The candle already has a number of celebrity fans, including Gaby Roslin and Lorraine Kelly.
Gaby wrote on Instagram: “This candle smells of kindness, warmth and friendship. [Jo and Rosie] have created a magical smell that has captured friendship perfectly.”
Lorraine added: “Love it and getting one for all my pals – perfect way to celebrate friendship.”

The 46-year-old actress and her husband Dwyane Wade, 37, are parents to nine-month-old Kaavia and Gabrielle has admitted that her daughter is more stylish than she is.
She told PEOPLE: “Dwyane and I thought we knew how to serve a look until Kaavia James came through to show us how it’s done. Mama is just trying to keep up!
“Kaavia has a very distinct personality and she’s very active so often what I think looks great isn’t practical for her. While I love twinning with her, I cannot wait to encourage her to express her individuality.
“I’m really having fun with dressing Kaavia because time is flying and I know she’ll be picking her own outfits soon enough.”
Gabrielle has just released her latest collection with New York & Company, named ‘I’m Perfect’, which follows on from the popular baby range she previously launched, starring Kaavia.

Tom Ford unveils new skincare line

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford has unveiled his new skincare line.
The 57-year-old fashion designer debuted his luxurious eponymous beauty empire in 2011, and now the star has expanded his partnership with Estée Lauder to create a line of genderless skincare products for his new range, Tom Ford Research.
In a statement he said: “My vision is to merge breakthrough skin science with true luxury, to create transformative skincare regardless of skin type or gender. This is the reason I established Tom Ford Research.
“Working closely with a team of scientists, we develop what is truly remarkable and that which delivers undeniable visible results.”
Tom previously admitted he wanted to make sure his skincare regime really worked and stayed true to his own ethos, so he requested and received his own dedicated lab from Estée Lauder to work on the “science-based” products to make sure he was putting his name on something he was proud of.
He said: “I wanted to start a serious skin-care arm and have it be science-based. This is a real skin-care product and regimen. I’m not a designer who has thrown his name on a beautifully packaged cream.”
The designer drew on his own experiences and advice he received from previous dermatologists around the world when deciding on what ingredients he wanted to include in the line.
He added: “Years ago, a dermatologist told me that the best thing for puffy eyes was moist tea bags. Every time I did it, I noticed that it also moisturised my skin.”
After 75 different trial concoctions, Ford unveiled his first creations, which included the Serum Concentrate ($350) and Crème Concentrate ($450), and both products are heavily infused with caffeine from the Japanese green tea, gyokuro, and the rare white porcelain cacao.
Tom Ford’s Research Serum Concentrate and Crème Concentrate launch this month, and three more products, including an eye cream, will debut in spring 2020.

Selena Gomez creating own beauty line?

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez could be creating her own beauty line.
According to documents filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office, in July 27-year-old singer-turned-actress filed a trademark for ‘Selena Gomez’ for a number of beauty products, including “fragrances, cosmetics, skin-care preparations, hair-care preparations, soaps and essential oils”.
The ‘Good For You’ hitmaker released an eponymous fragrance back in 2011 with Adrenalina Inc. and asked her fans to help her create the perfume’s scent by choosing the key ingredients.
Gomez has also designed apparel lines and accessories for both Puma and Coach, and recently designed a bikini for the swimwear brand, Krahs, which was created by her best friend and former manager, Theresa Mingus.
The ‘Dead Don’t Die’ star recently designed her second Puma collection, and the star previously revealed that she included subtle details about her past in the line, including the “coordinates” of her Grand Prairie, Texas hometown.
There are also semi colons referenced to represent the tattoo she got with the cast of Netflix’s ’13 Reasons Why’ , which she is executive producer of.
She said: “I’ve put everything from some of my tattoos, my birthdate, the coordinates of my hometown — even working with lupus and having an artist create a box for a shoe that I release where some of the proceeds are able to go to that.
“I try to find original ways of doing it. Every single thing that I do in my career and my life, I just feel so grateful. So most of the time, I try to put a little piece of me in [it].”

Ashley Graham hates washing her hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham hates washing her hair.
The 31-year-old model – who is expecting her first child with husband Justin Ervin – has revealed her eight-step skincare ritual, which starts with her tying her brunette locks back to stop any product getting in to it because she tries to leave at least three days between shampooing her tresses.
She said: “I have a combination skin type, it’s a little bit oily, a little bit dry. I get a little dry around my nose and sometimes dry on my chin and I would say my cheeks are combination 100 per cent. If it’s summer time we’re oily, if it’s the winter time we’re dry so I’m always changing it up.
“I hate washing my hair so if I can leave my hair for two to three days, I’m going to do it. When I’m sleeping I don’t put my hair up because I already have so much volume on top of my head then I look like a cone head, so I always go back with it. It’s just something I’ve learnt about myself.”
The brunette beauty also stressed the importance of taking your make-up off and washing your face before going to bed.
She added: “I don’t care how intoxicated you are on what. You better wash your face at night. At least get the make-up off! If you forget the moisturiser, so what? Get the make-up off!”
Ashley went on to reveal she has refined her skincare ritual by taking inspiration from her own mother, make-up artists and her friends.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar US in their ‘Go To Bed With Me’ series, she continued: “I have over the years had to figure out what my skin regimen is and my mum has always taken pretty good care of her skin. She never wore sunscreen though! Cardinal rule – you better be wearing sunscreen when you walk out of the house!
“But I have taken my beauty system from different people, make-up artists, or my dermatologist, my friends and my mum. I’ve figured it out for myself – it’s trial and error.”

Style queen Janelle Monáe

OHMYGOSSIP — Janelle Monáe’s cousin has praised her as a style icon.
The ‘Screwed’ singer has been a “big inspiration” for 15-year-old Marsai Martin due to innate sense of style and daring looks.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Marsai said: “I admire so many things about Janelle. She’s so true to herself with everything that she puts on.
“And she can also pull off things that no one else can, like her most recent Met Gala look. She’s definitely a big inspiration for me.”
Janelle, who only met Marsai for the first time a few years ago, has admitted that she struggled with style in the past as she had no money to buy the things she liked.
The singer said: “When I was starting out, I didn’t have a lot of designers that wanted to dress me. And I couldn’t afford to buy all the things I saw in magazines.
“My fashion sense was born out of turning nothing into something. I’ve always leaned into what makes me unique. Sometimes I got bullied for it.
She said: “People were saying that I dressed like a man and that I should look more feminine if I want to get ahead. But ultimately, I chose to express myself in what made me most comfortable.
“It was about proving that, as women, we can wear tuxedos, we can wear dresses, we can show skin, or not show skin. But we need to be in control of that.”
Janelle has no set style and jumps between being a minimalist and being “extra flamboyant”.
The 33 year old said: “I want to have a fashion line one day for girls and boys who can rock my looks and feel like they’re part of something bigger than just clothing.”

Irina Shayk’s relaxed beauty regime

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk prefers a “less is more” approach to her beauty routine.
The 33-year-old supermodel – who has two-year-old daughter Lea de Seine with former partner Bradley Cooper – religiously removes her make-up before bed because it’s “the most important step” and will opt for a good moisturiser and concealer to complete because she loves a natural beauty look.
She said: “I always thoroughly remove my make-up before I go to bed – it’s the most important step in my beauty routine. I use moisturiser in the evening and sunscreen in the morning. I’ll apply a tiny bit of concealer under my eyes and I always wear a lip balm.
“I don’t like to be in a rush, so I’ll usually take some time for myself in the morning. When I wake up, I’ll have a glass of water with drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Then I’ll have a shower and apply moisturiser. For me, less is more. When I’m not working, I wear very little make-up, I love a natural beauty look.”
The Russian beauty also praised her mother, Olga, for instilling the importance of a good routine into her from a young age, and the star revealed she rubs an ice cube over her face every morning to wake-up her skin.
She told InStyle Australia: “I learnt it from my mum – in the morning I [rub] an ice cube over my face to wake up and refresh my skin. I work with a lot of great make-up artists; I love watching them work and I ask a zillion questions!
“I’ve learnt some great tips from them too, like using hairspray and a toothbrush to fix my eyebrows, or using my eye cream as a lip balm for a moisturised, natural look.”
Irina went on to explain “true beauty” comes from inside a person, rather than just being a “pretty face”.
She added: “For me, beauty is much more than just a pretty face – true beauty comes from inside. I’m happy to see in the fashion world now there are so many truly beautiful women, with strong personalities and charisma.”

Gigi Hadid likes to mix-up fragrance throughout the day

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid likes to mix-up her fragrances throughout the day.
The 24-year-old model is the face of Michael Kors’ newest perfume, Wonderlust, and although when she was younger she often opted for a “floral and sweet” smell, now she likes to mix up her fragrances to achieve her desired scent.
She said: “I think I’ve always gone toward floral and sweet my whole life, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found if I get sent a heavier fragrance, I mix it with some of the lighter floral scents because I feel like it can move into different periods of the day. So yeah, I’m opening up more to deeper scents, more complicated ones.”
The blonde beauty travelled to Turks and Caicos with her long-time friend and designer for the campaign’s photo shoot, and the star revealed the fragrance makes her feel “energised and positive”.
She told Allure magazine: “For me, when I wear it and close my eyes, it brings back that warm feeling, and it makes you feel energised and positive.
“It reminds me a lot of the trip and shooting it because that’s what the whole campaign and commercial are about – just that feeling it gives you of freedom and waking up in the summer and doing what makes you happy.”
And opening up about why he chose Gigi for the perfume’s campaign, Kors admitted she embodies his brand’s “optimistic” ethos.
He added: “Well, the whole point of the fragrance is that people live busy lives; we’re all doing too much, and you can either have life take you down and make you sad and depressed, or you can be optimistic and energetic and stay curious no matter what comes your way.
“And that’s her. She is full of optimism, she’s super smart, and she’s up for anything. She’s also obsessed with travelling like I am. I mean, if someone said to me, ‘Do you want to go to lunch in Vancouver because they have really great shrimp?’ I’d say, ‘Okay, sure, let’s go.’ And she would, too.”

Britney spent $6k on never-worn designer shoes

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears bought her first pair of Christian Louboutin heels four years ago – but has never worn them.
The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker forked out $6,000 for a pair of snakeskin platform shoes – created by the French fashion designer popular with celebrities around the world – but for the last almost half a decade they’ve been gathering dust in her wardrobe as she is yet to slip her toes into them and take them for a spin.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 37-year-old pop star uploaded a close-up of the green heels in her lavish dressing room and wrote: “Four years ago I bought my first pair of Christian Louboutin snakeskin heels that were 6,000 dollars …. PS I’ve never worn them !!!! (sic)”
Britney – who is worth $59,079,755.76 – clearly has no issues splashing the cash as it was revealed earlier this week that she had spent $400,000 on personal expenses within the last year.
The ‘…Baby One More Time’ singer spent $70,000 on travel including a four-night, $16,0000 stay at the Beverly Hills Montage, $66,000 on household supplies and she made over 80 trips to Target.
She also paid out one million dollars in fees to her “conservators and case management advisors”, with her father Jamie Spears being paid $128,000 of that sum, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
Britney’s finances will all come under review as the investigation into her conservatorship continues.
The star is currently locked in a legal battle with her father Jamie as she has requested to be freed of her conservatorship, which has seen him control her finances, professional and private life since 2008.
Britney turned to the courts in May in order to end the conservatorship after she claimed Jamie committed her to a mental health facility against her will and forced her to take prescription drugs.
The judge presiding over the case has since ordered a thorough investigation of all the people who take part in Britney’s conservatorship in order to properly assess whether the restraints on the singer should be loosened or modified.
The probate court investigator will conduct extensive interviews with all the people involved in a conservatorship case, including guardians, conservators, doctors and even law enforcement officials who have had contact with the subject.
The investigator will also be reviewing medical and financial records, including custody agreements surrounding her two sons, Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, and contractual obligations.
Following the court case, the singer’s fans started the social media campaign under the “#FreeBritney” hashtag to call for the conservatorship to end.

Chris Sullivan wants to challenge gender norms through fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Sullivan wants to “challenge” stereotypical ideas of male fashion.
The ‘This Is Us’ actor has been making bold fashion statements on the red carpet – including wearing bright colours, nail varnish and make-up – because he thinks it is important to go against what is perceived as “normal” for men and women.
In an interview with Variety, he said: “[I’m] a cisgendered middle-aged white man [but I want to wear things that] might go against the stereotypical ‘straight white male’ fashion choice.
“I think now it’s an important time for all of us to challenge those tropes, or what is ‘normal,’ or what is ‘male’ or ‘female.’ ”
The 39-year-old star is a particular fan of golfwear brand Loudmouth – which he joked has an “appropriate title for a favourite clothing company” of his – and his main target with his outfits is to “have fun” and push the boundaries of a particular dress code.
He said: “The goal for me, always, is to have fun, and to kind of intentionally be unexpected and go against the dress code a little bit.”
At last year’s Emmys, Chris wore a metallic Mr. Turk suit to attend the Emmy’s, paired with bracelets and statement gold nail polish but some aspects of his look didn’t quite come together in the way he’d hoped.
He said: “Our hair and makeup team at ‘This Is Us’ had made me a mohawk to wear. I couldn’t apply it correctly.
“On the way out the door, I had [my wife’s make-up artist] give me a smokey eye, which I think brought the whole thing together.”

Natalia’s son’s unexpected switch to modelling

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalia Vodianova didn’t “expect” her son to pursue modelling.
The supermodel’s son, Lucas Alexander Portman, has just walked for Balmain in his first menswear show at the age of 17, and the 37-year-old beauty admitted any concerns she had about him following in her footsteps were eased by a frank chat with the teenager.
She told the Sunday Times’ Style magazine: “I didn’t expect this. He’s a serious boy and he sat me down.
“He told us that before he continues with education [at Yale], he wanted something fun and creative, a bit of a distraction in life. So any reservations, he argued them away!”
Natalia – who has Lucas, Nevas, 13, and 12-year-old Viktor with ex-husband Justin Portman – gave some advice about the catwalk to her son.
She explained: “I told him he has to imagine that this is as normal as when you go down the street rushing to meet a friend. If you try to walk to show off the clothes, you’re dead. It is going to be awful.
“Of course, after all my fussing, he was absolutely great and very unconcerned.”
The supermodel, who married into the LVMH dynasty with Antoine Arnault – believes the modelling industry is changing.
Natalia said: “The girls now, they are incredibly healthy and sporty. The young generation of girls don’t go out so much. Many don’t drink or smoke. They know what they want.”
The former Calvin Klein model spent her childhood selling fruits at a market stall to help her mother before working relentlessly to gain supermodel status she has today and wants other women to not be “snowflakes” when it comes to modelling.
She said: “It’s not a word I use, though I can see some truth to it. There are young people who see the surface of fashion and beauty — maybe an influencer with millions of followers — but they don’t know how much work goes in to that. You have to do your homework and it does not just happen. But the next generation has good values. They are so far removed from the last world war that they are not thinking, ‘how do I secure enough money to save myself?’ ”
