Chloe Sevigny feels naked without perfume

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Sevigny feels naked without perfume.
The 44-year-old actress recounted a recent day out where she forgot to put on fragrance and admitted she felt uncomfortable without it.
She told Refinery29: “I said to my boyfriend, ‘Oh my god, I forgot to put on my perfume, and I feel naked. Also, I’ve been doing all this press and I haven’t been including perfume as part of my beauty regimen. Because I don’t think of it as ‘beauty’ – it transcends that. It’s just part of life.”
Chloe has collaborated with Régime des Fleurs to create her own perfume, Little Flower, and says she was heavily involved in the design process.
She explained: “I was very involved in the process. I believe in them and their vision so much, and I fell in love with Régime and all their scents. They said, ‘What do you think about doing a perfume?’ It was a no-brainer.”
Meanwhile, Chloe recently revealed she often goes on shopping “hiatuses” and won’t purchase any new garments for “three months” as she challenges herself to not purchase any new pieces of clothing to help her rediscover how to be comfortable with what she already has in her wardrobe.
She said: “[I have a shopping] addiction. It helps fill a void. I’m trying to figure out what that void is on a higher plane. How does one feed that desire for something new to make them feel better, or sexier?
“I’ll often go on hiatuses where I have to stop, where I have to stop, where I have to say to myself that I’m not going to buy anything for three months. I’ve gone for six months, even a year, without purchasing things, which helps you rediscover how to be comfortable with what you already have.”

Battle to control Karl Lagerfeld’s cat’s Instagram gets catty

OHMYGOSSIP — A catfight has ensued over a battle to control the Instagram account of Karl Lagerfeld’s pet cat Choupette.
The claws have come out over a legal battle concerning the online presence of the late designer’s beloved pet, with the founder of the popular Choupette’s Diary blog and social media accounts fearing that Chanel is attempting to gain control of the cat’s social media accounts, according to Page Six Style.
Ashley Tschudin created the account in 2012 and the page, which consisted of images reposted from the iconic designer and his friends, has since amassed over 250,000 followers and the founder later worked with Karl on the launch of the cat’s collaborations with Shu Uemura, Melissa Shoes.
Now, a new Instagram account has been made, titled @choupetteofficiel, and Ashley suspects the cat’s new owner Françoise – who has cared for the animal for years – is behind the page.
A potential catfight was sparked last week when @choupetteofficiel took to opportunity to leave a fur-midable comment on Ashley’s page reading: “Dear friends, thanks for your concern! This is my only account. With love, Choupette.”
Soon after this comment was posted, the new account copyrighted their images meaning any of their content would include the page’s official watermark.
Friday (17.08.19) marked the drop of Choupette’s Diary’s e-commerce shop and according to documents obtained by the United States Patent and Trademark Office,
Ashley filed to trademark the name of her brand less than a month after Lagerfeld’s death.
Alexandra Roberts, an associate professor at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, told the publication that although Tschudin has every right to sell her images, it’s unlikely she has much of a legal case in regards to reposting pictures of Choupette.
Roberts said: “If she doesn’t have permission from copyright owners for all the photos she posted in the past, her account may be in jeopardy and she can be sued for copyright infringement.
“If I were advising Choupette’s Diary I think I’d tell her to get her own cat of a similar breed, name it Choupette, revise the sketch a bit to be super safe, and move forward using her own pictures of her own cat with her blog and Instagram with a Choupette’s Diary trademark.”

Billie Eilish doesn’t want her style to ‘shame’ others

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish doesn’t want her style to “slut-shame” others.
The 17-year-old singer has received a lot of “positive comments” for wearing baggy clothing, but thinks they are also disparaging to other women as they have a negative slant to the different choices made by other females.
In an interview with V magazine, she said: “The positive comments about how I dress have this slut-shaming element. Like, ‘I am so glad that you’re dressing like a boy, so other girls can dress like boys, so that they aren’t sluts’.
“That’s basically what it sounds like to me. And I can’t overstate how strongly I do not appreciate that, at all.”
The ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker went on to explain that although the way she dresses isn’t “girly”, she opts to wear baggy clothes for comfort and wants both women and men to wear clothes which make them feel “comfortable in their skin”.
She said: “The way I dress is very not necessarily feminine, or girly, or whatever.
“I don’t say, ‘Oh, I am going to wear baggy clothes because it’s baggy clothes’, it’s never like that. I wear what I want to wear.”
“I have always supported and loved when a woman or a man or anyone in the world feels comfortable in their skin, their body, to show just whatever they want.
“I don’t like that there’s this weird new world of supporting me by shaming people that don’t want to dress like me.”
Reflecting on her style, Billie clarified that although her fashion choices are “loud” there’s no “name attached” to her outfits.
She said: “I have always been a person that wants to dress loud. I’ve always wanted people to look up at me, I’ve always wanted people to notice me.
“I’m just walking around dressed how I always wanted to but now there’s a name attached to that.”

Millie Bobby Brown launches cruelty-free beauty brand

OHMYGOSSIP — Millie Bobby Brown has launched her own cruelty-free beauty brand.
The 15-year-old actress – who is best known for her role as Eleven in the hit Netflix science fiction series ‘Stranger Things’ – has dropped a brand new beauty line of projects inspired by her great grandmother Florence.
The line – which will include products such as Light Skin Tint, Eye Gel Pads, will be PETA-certified, vegan and cruelty-free and Millie insisted she wanted her line to be based around “individuality and bravery”.
In an interview with WWD, she said: “I felt like a brand about individuality and bravery and being truthful should be named after somebody who was all of those things.”
The ‘Modern Family’ star went on to explain that the range is aimed specifically at young people, using the knowledge she’s gained having started her acting career at the age of ten.
She said: “I’ve been in a make-up chair since I was 10, 11 years old, and I have really been introduced to all types of products.
“I’ve had special effects on my face, blood, all different types of foundation…I wanted to come into the space because there was a gap in the market for young people.”
The range will be available at Ulta Beauty in the US and Boots in the UK and will be budget-friendly with prices starting at $10 up to $34, and products will also be available online.
A section of proceeds made will go to the Olivia Hope Foundation, which aims to honor Millie’s late friend Olivia Hope LoRusso who died following a 15-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Zoë Kravitz praised for ‘honest’ approach to beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoë Kravitz has been praised by a celebrity hairstylist for her “honest and fair” approach to beauty.
Nikki Nelms- who created the 30-year-old actress’ stunning Met Gala hairdo –
loves working with both the ‘Big Little Lies’ star and singer-and-actress Janelle Monae because of how “transparent” they are when it comes to what they want from their looks.
In an interview with Hypebae, she said: “What I’ve heard directly from my clients is that they appreciate my ability to understand and execute without much explaining. I love all my clients for many different reasons.
“Like what I love most about Janelle and Zoë is the fact that they both are so honest, fair and transparent.
“I have never had to read between the lines with them or learn to speak ‘Hollywood’ to understand them or to be understood.”
Nikki went on to explain that her proudest moments have been working with fellow “creatives of colour” and noted the Met Gala 2019 as one of her favorite events as she was able to help “four more people that looked like her” further their way in the fashion industry.
She said: “I’m most proud when I help put some of my fellow creatives of colour in positions that aren’t always offered to us as easily as they are offered to others.
“One of those moments for me was the Met Gala 2019. I was so excited when I realised that I was able to help four more people (not including assistants) that looked like me, add a ‘Met Gala’ look to their résumés.
“I am and will always be the proudest when I’m able to be, for someone else, what I once needed from someone else.”

Rihanna bought ‘entire archive’ of Baby Phat

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has reportedly bought an “entire archive” of old Baby Phat clothes.
The 31-year-old singer is said to be a huge fan of the American apparel brand, which was popular in the late 90s and early noughties, and asked her team to try and get their hands on some of the old pieces created by Kimora Lee Simmons.
Fashion historian Gabriel Held told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column in an email that he has worked with the ‘Stay’ hitmaker’s team a lot in the past and when they found out he had a number of original Baby Phat pieces, they asked to purchase his whole collection.
Meanwhile, the R&B superstar – whose real name is Robyn Fenty – is working with LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) to launch a new fashion brand under her name, and the star has revealed that she worked closely with LVMH Chairman and Chief Executive, Bernard Arnault, to get her creative “vision” perfect.
She said recently: “I’ve been slowly evolving throughout the fashion world. First wearing it, buying it, being recognised for my style and then collaborating with brands. I never just wanted to put my name on something and sell my license.
“I’m very hands-on, so I wanted to take it slowly and gain respect as a designer. I already had a relationship with them after the Versailles campaign and the make-up line, so they extended the offer to me and it was a no-brainer because LVMH is a machine. Bernard Arnault was so enthusiastic; he trusted me and my vision.”
And the ‘Work’ songstress – whose collection will include ready-to-wear and accessories, including shoes, sunglasses and jewellery – used herself as a “muse” to create the much-anticipated range.
She explained: “I love a corset. We put a corset in a suit, a dress, a shirt, a denim jacket and a T-shirt dress. I use myself as the muse. It’s sweatpants with pearls, or a masculine denim jacket with a corset. I feel like we live in a world where people are embracing every bit of who they are. Look at Jaden Smith, Childish Gambino. They dare you to tell them not to.”

Taylor Swift teams up with Stella McCartney for Lover range

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has teamed up with Stella McCartney to release a line of ready-to-wear and accessories.
The 29-year-old pop star has joined forces with the British fashion designer – the daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney – to create a collection of pieces to mark the debut of her new album ‘Lover’ after they met and hit it off at one of her concerts in London.
Speaking in the September issue of Vogue magazine, Taylor said: “When I started spending more time in London, Stella and I would go on walks, have cocktails, and talk about life.
“So when it came time to write this album, I name checked her in one of my songs, and when I played her the album, I said, ‘Should we do something?’ ”
And for 47-year-old Stella – who designed the Duchess of Sussex’s second wedding dress for her reception – it was a no brainer as she loves how well she and Taylor “complement each other.”
She explained: “I couldn’t believe that my name is in a Taylor Swift song (what?!?) and after Taylor played me the entire album it gave me such incredible inspiration for the collaboration and it really revolved around the music. When Taylor asked me, or even thought to come and do this with me, what I love is how we really complement each other in what we generate creatively together.”
The collaborative collection will be revealed to the public on August 22 during Taylor’s YouTube Live and fans can expect to see jackets, tops, and bags – inspired by her style – in the range.
The line will also follow Stella’s standards of sustainability meaning there will be no fur or leather.
Stella explained: “At Stella McCartney we are so serious in how we manufacture and how responsible we are. We are always looking at sustainability and not killing animals, it means we have such a serious undertone in the everyday runnings morally of how we conduct ourselves as a brand.
“So I always have to counter that with having a lightness of heart and have a sense of humour and not make people feel terrible.”

Love Island’s Amy Hart to sign 6-figure fashion deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Love Island’s Amy Hart is set to sign a “six-figure fashion deal” with a major brand.
The blonde singleton – who won the public’s backing when she quit the dating show after being left heartbroken by her “half-boyfriend” Curtis Pritchard – has sparked a bidding war between some big labels after she quit her job as an air hostess.
A source told The Sun Online: “Amy’s effortless style hasn’t gone unnoticed – and bosses at some of the biggest fashion brands in the UK have been in touch trying to get her to sign on the dotted line and collaborate with them.”
However, the 26-year-old beauty doesn’t want to rush into anything as she wants to make sure the deal she accepts to “right for her” rather than with the larger pay out.
An insider explained: “But, coming from a entrepreneurial family, she is very business-savvy and is being careful about committing herself to just any old deal that potentially won’t be right for her… She doesn’t want to make the same mistakes as those before her, and she’s keen to have a hands-on role and really throw herself into the brand – or brands – she works with.”
Amy definitely wants to do something with a fashion brand though as she’s been overwhelmed by the amount of people on her social networking sites who like her sense of style and ask where certain items are from so they can copy her looks.
The source said: “Everyone loves being told they look nice – and Amy’s no different. She really appreciates it that her fans like her outfit choices and ask her where they can buy the same thing – which is why she can’t wait to collaborate with a brand on her own range!”

Emily DiDonato was ‘too big’ to model

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily DiDonato was told she was “too big” to be a model.
The 28-year-old catwalk star – who has starred in campaigns for the likes of Maybelline – has admitted that it’s taken a while for her to feel confident in her own body as she was continuously put down when she first started out in the industry.
Speaking in a YouTube video, she recalled her 18 year old mindset: “To me, to be successful, is to be thin
“So I am going to do whatever it takes, and I did. I was eating as little as possible, I was very obsessed with what I was putting in my body and I was over exercising.”
After she moved to New York City, the brunette beauty decided to walk every where, which led to her going from 140lbs to 118lbs in just a few weeks.
She explained: “I was lonely. I was homesick. I missed my friends. I didn’t know what I was doing in this big city. I didn’t know anyone.”
Emily’s family and friends then stepped in because they were concerned for her well-being and the intervention was a “wake up call” that she needed.
The model gained all the weight she had lost “and then some” but she hated the way she looked and constantly wore baggy clothes to hide her figure.
After taking a break from modelling, Emily auditioned for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue but she hated the shoot pictures because she looked “fat.”
She explained: “I started working more than ever. I felt free because there were pictures out there of what I actually looked like and what my body looked like. And Sports Illustrated was celebrating it enough to put it in their issue.
“I catch myself still — and I would catch myself then — being like, ‘You’re fat, you’re disgusting, you don’t even look like a model, your legs are disgusting, what model looks like that, no one’s going to want to shoot me like this.
“Finding this self-love and loving the skin that I’m in took time and it took effort. There’s nothing sexier than a woman who’s comfortable in her skin and her body. And that’s something that I’m working at every day.”

Tom Ford will only wear clothes he has made

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford will only wear clothes he has made.
The fashion designer has revealed he will always wear clothes or shoes designed by himself, unless its a “technical” thing.
He said: “If I want something that I don’t make, I design it. So – if I want a motorcycle boot and I don’t make one, I design one.”
Asked if he’d wear anyone else’s clothes, he told The Times newspaper: “No, because if I have to wear something from someone else, that means I’m missing a product. That doesn’t include technical things, like an actual technical shoe to play tennis in. I do make trainers. Everyone does great business in trainers now, but they’re not necessarily technical. I play on a clay court so I play in technical clay tennis shoes that have the right bottoms.”
Meanwhile, Tom had previously confessed his sobriety had impacted on his designs, after openly admitting to battling with alcoholism many years ago.
He said: “I haven’t done anything exuberant in a long time. I used to give these hedonistic parties at Gucci. Alcohol-fuelled – and in many cases, drug-fuelled – these big parties that people used to love. My life changed a lot when I quit drinking, quit doing drugs, quit smoking, quit all of these things, and it does make you more sober. It made my clothes more sober. It took me a while maybe to be able to get back to being able to be joyful and silly without alcohol.”

Kate Hudson: The fashion industry needs to reduce waste

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Hudson thinks the fashion industry needs to reduce its waste.
The ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ star has branded the clothing industry as very “irresponsible” for being so wasteful.
She told Stella magazine: “I love fashion and I always have, but the more you get involved in it, the more you see how irresponsible the industry has been with waste. We’ve spent so long thinking that more means more luxurious, when we need to start thinking that simplicity is more beautiful. It’s time to start being more responsible.”
Kate is taking that thought into her own brand and is launching an environmentally-friendly womenswear line, HappyxNature that combines the “best of boho sophistication with a natural feel”.
Announcing it on Instagram, she said: “Our story is a love story really. A love of nature and all things natural. We love how nature makes beauty look so easy and effortless. And, that’s been our inspiration for our fashion and for our commitment to the environment. Our goal is simple – making you and nature happy with easy, free-spirited fashion that minimises our impact on non-renewable resources. From the factories and mills we choose to packaging and garment tags, we’ll explore every option, always looking for eco-aware solutions.”

Tom Ford regularly gives Tom Hanks fashion advice.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford regularly gives Tom Hanks fashion advice.
The 63-year-old actor may be more experienced in the world of film, but he was very impressed by the 57-year-old designer’s direction of 2008’s ‘A Single Man’ and 2016’s ‘Nocturnal Animals’ so asks his pal questions about movies, as well as taking some “simple” style tips from him.
Hanks said: “‘A Single Man’ and ‘Nocturnal Animals’ were, essentially, low-budget movies without any cheap aesthetics or sacrifices, which takes a strong hand and a soft touch.
“I’ve made a lot of films, but I find myself listening to Tom talk about directing a lot.
“Of course I still ask him fashion questions like a pilgrim who has climbed a mountain in search of wisdom, and he has imparted the most simple of answers: Button the jacket, as it slims your form. Use the pockets, as a jacket is like a man’s purse — just don’t get bulky. Cap-toed shoes go with everything.”
The fashion mogul – who was recently named the CFDA chairman – has a hard time complimenting himself and often cannot believe how far he has come in his long-spanning fashion career.
He added: “I have a very hard time taking compliments, or complimenting myself but I sometimes have to stop and think, ‘Wow: How am I wearing Tom Ford underwear right now, a Tom Ford watch, Tom Ford cuff links, a Tom Ford shirt, a Tom Ford suit, Tom Ford shoes, Tom Ford glasses, Tom Ford moisturiser, Tom Ford bronzer? How is there a Jay-Z song called Tom Ford? In 12 years, how did that happen?'”
Ford went on to admit he designs his garments for women who want to show off their figures.
He told Anerica’s Vogue magazine: “It’s for a woman who wants a waist, who wants to show her figure.
“She’s definitely wearing high heels; she likes a certain sort of sleek glamour. She could be 25 years old; she could be 75 years old.”

Chrissy Teigen designs own range of sunglasses with Quay

OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen has designed her own range of sunglasses with Quay.
The 33-year-old model – who has Luna, three, and Miles, 14 months, with ‘All of Me’ hitmaker husband John Legend – has teamed up with the affordable Australian eyewear brand to create a capsule collection of shades, and the star has revealed that the collaboration was a natural choice for her because they are the brand she gets the “most compliments” on.
She said: “I’ve been coming across Quay for years through friends who’ve done partnerships and collaborations with them, and seeing them on Instagram all the time.
“They sent me a bunch [of sunglasses] and every time I’ve worn them, I get all these compliments. I have so many pairs of sunglasses in every price range, but it’s always the Quay ones that I get compliments on. I was super excited to be part of something with them.”
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host also designed a pair of blue-light glasses in the collection to relieve her “sore eyes” from being “addicted” to her phone screen daily.
She told US Harper’s Bazaar: “They’re stylish but also serve a purpose. We’re all addicted to our phones, our screen time, TV–we’re constantly scrolling something. We want to get people to open their eyes to the fact that these glasses could be beneficial.
“[After wearing them], I noticed I was getting less headaches, better sleep, and no more sore, dry eyes. I wear them at night when I’m in bed and John wears his so much. He needs a thick prescription, so we’ll both be in bed at night wearing our glasses while watching TV and scrolling the ‘gram.”
And Chrissy insisted she wanted to create a range that was “accommodating” for everyone’s face shapes.
She added: “I knew the styles that were best for my face, but obviously we wanted a collection that was accommodating of everyone’s different styles and face shapes.
“I tend to lean towards oversized sunglasses because I don’t love putting on a full face of make-up every day. We took the brand’s shapes that people already know and love and changed the colours to enhance them and make them more my style. We went a little bit darker for fall and there are some mirror sunglasses, too.”
