Rachel Brosnahan loves make-up with multiple uses

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Brosnahan loves make-up with multiple uses.
The ‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ star prefers easy to use make up as she’s always doing it on the go and doesn’t want to carry too much around.
She said: “Makeup-wise, I love anything that I can stick my fingers into and can be used in multiple ways. I’m always doing my makeup on the go – in the back of cars on the subway, on planes – so I try to keep a tiny little makeup bag of essentials.”
And the 29-year-old actress has a very opposite skincare routine to her character’s and admits she was initially “a bit judgmental about it”.
She added: “I think I’ve learned in response to Midge that less is more. Midge has a very involved skincare routine. Initially, I was a bit judgmental about it. But it works for her. It makes her feel great. It makes her feel her best. It makes her feel powerful and purposeful. And my skincare routine does the same for me. Although Midge’s routine is essentially the polar opposite of mine.”
Rachel drinks a lot of water as she likes how it helps her skin.
She told Forbes.com: “It’s not necessarily a beauty item, but I try to bring a reusable water bottle with me when I travel. I do have a stainless-steel water bottle that literally says ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ all over it. But I don’t travel with that one because it gives me away at the airport. Instead, I use one that has a bicycle on it. It’s great for filling up before getting on the plane.”

Lili Reinhart loves Glow Recipe

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart is a huge fan of Korean skincare brand, Glow Recipe.
The ‘Riverdale’ star took to social media to share her excitement over a new range of products she discovered, which includes watermelon moisturiser, an avocado sleeping mask and a pineapple serum.
She shared on her Instagram story: “I like to put the pineapple serum on heavily for 20 minutes and then rinse off. I put these two on for 10 – 15 minutes and then rinse off. Alternating around three times per week. Not an ad, just really enjoy these products @glowrecepie. (sic)”
Lili previously admitted she is taking her journey to self-confidence “day by day” and whilst she’s still not completely confident with the way she looks, she understands it won’t “happen overnight”.
She said: “I feel like in being in the spotlight, you’re forced to see your insecurities mirrored back at you, because you have hundreds of people pointing out your flaws. Or things that you don’t like about yourself or things that you’re self-conscious about, you’re having people that you don’t know judge that, and it’s hard. Finding your confidence in a world where you’re being judged by every move that you make is not easy. I think it’s, for me, it’s taking it day by day. Confidence doesn’t happen overnight and it takes a while to sometimes accept yourself for how you are. But I have over time, kind of like, it’s kind of like … how do I want to say this … debunking, it’s kind of like debunking Hollywood.”

Julianne Moore ‘nervous’ about first designer purchase

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Moore was “nervous” when she bought her first designer dress.
The 58-year-old actress dropped $500 on a Ralph Lauren dress when she was 25, and has said the purchase was her first piece of designer clothing, and was a “very big deal” for her because at the time she considered it to be “so expensive”.
She said: “My first major designer purchase was a Ralph Lauren dress that I bought. It was brown silk and it had white flowers on it. It was so expensive for me at the time. I remember how nervous I was buying it because it was $500, which was a fortune for me, and it was [from] a very fancy store. I bought it myself when I was 25. It was a very big deal for me to spend that much money on a dress. I had it for a very long time and I loved it … God knows where it ended up.”
These days, the star is no stranger to dressing up in designer robes, and says her staple go-to wardrobe piece is her Louis Vuitton black dress, which she can throw on and be ready in a matter of minutes.
The ‘After the Wedding’ actress revealed: “If it’s a regular day and I have a meeting and I want to look nice, I would probably wear my really cute black Louis Vuitton dress – it’s great. It’s very casual … but it looks a little bit dressy.
“I would wear it with a little short black boot and then I’d make sure that my hair was … clean. A blow-out really, really helps – or dry shampoo. A blow-out, a black dress, short black boots and then I like to do a lip and cheek stain, and some mascara. That’s it, all in five minutes.”
And although she’s got a wardrobe full of designer garments now, her favourite fashion staple is a simple pair of jeans.
Speaking to British Vogue, she said: “I like to have a really great pair of jeans. A Saint Laurent army jacket and then a really good pair of Birkenstocks. Right now they’re my favourite. If I go on trips or if I go somewhere I always have them with me. This outfit makes me feel good, like myself.”

Jenny Slate shuns the idea of gendered clothing

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenny Slate likes wearing outfits that are “separated from qualifications that are put on gender”.
The 37-year-old actress and comedian has said that whilst she is a “fan of miniskirts” and other clothes that are “more traditionally” feminine, she also likes to shun the idea of gendered clothing.
She said: “I am a fan of miniskirts, silk patterned dresses and things that might be seen as more traditionally femme. But I really like wearing outfits where I feel I am separated from qualifications that are put on gender.”
Jenny also admits she went through a stage in her life where she would only wear one colour, but stopped doing so when she realised she wanted to be herself, and not “try to control it”.
The ‘Venom’ star added: “There was quite a while when I dressed monochromatically; my personality is very colourful and I felt there were many different tones happening at once. I tend to be a pretty frenetic thinker – I scale emotional heights and dip to emotional lows many times a day just as part of being a live human person – so it felt very good to dress in one colour. It meant that at least one thing about me was very simple and straightforward and complete.
“I stopped dressing monochromatically almost a year ago when I realised that I wanted to be what I am, and not always try to control it. Occasionally, however, I still feel the need to dress in just one colour, and now I know that move is available to me.”
And the star says she often finds herself dressing as though she were a character from classic children’s story ‘The Wind in the Willows’.
Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, she said: “Right now I find myself trying to dress like characters in ‘The Wind in the Willows’ – I really like those natural tones. There have been times when my fashion inspiration was Carmen Miranda or Fiona Apple, but at the moment I am drawn towards more earthy colours. I’m also really into brushing my hair out like Diane von Furstenberg – that is so luscious.”

Zara Larsson shares makeup routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara Larsson has shared her on tour makeup routine.
The 21-year-old singer has teamed up with Vogue magazine to share a video of herself going through the steps needed to achieve the glamorous look she wears whilst she’s on tour.
In the video, she said: “Hi, I’m Zara Larsson, and today I’m gonna be doing a look that’s a little glam, a little natural, something I do on tour and it looks good wherever you are, so let’s get into it.”
For the ‘Lush Life’ hitmaker, skin care begins with a clarifying toner and a hydrating mask, before moving on to a cream, which Zara says doubles up as a moisturising primer that helps her makeup stay on all night long.
Zara then starts applying her makeup, which begins with a foundation, and then a full-coverage concealer, which the star uses to help hide any signs of the previous night’s partying.
She said: “I’m just going to go full-out here. I’m a night owl, I like to stay up all night!”
The star follows up with a metallic eyeshadow to create a subtle smoky eye, and then applies eyeliner, which she says can be a little tricky to get right.
She added: “A liner is like a dog – a mean dog. Because you can’t show it that you’re scared if you wanna be the boss of it.”
Whist adding her mascara, the Swedish-born singer discussed the different methods of applying makeup around the world, as she admitted Swedish beauty is “very minimalistic”.
She said: “I think Swedish beauty is very minimalistic. If I were to do my makeup in a Swedish way, it would probably be to have as little makeup on me as possible.”
Zara finishes her look with a tip she learned from Rihanna – highlighting the tops of her cheekbones with a dash of shimmering powder, and then following up with a wash of bronzer.
The final touch for the ‘Never Forget You’ singer is a light pink lipstick, and setting spray to hold it all in place.

Kim Kardashian West launches strongest SKIMS solutionwear line

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has launched her “strongest” line of SKIMS solutionwear.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star began releasing her brand of shapewear earlier this year, and this week, she dropped a brand new line of Contour Bonded products, which are designed to give wearers maximum support.
In an Instagram post, Kim said: “Our strongest Solutionwear is coming soon. The @skims Contour Bonded collection offers the highest level of support for super strength smoothing and lifting. Shop the Contour Bonded collection October 24 at 9AMPST / 12PM EST only at SKIMS.COM . Join the waitlist now via the link in our bio to be the first to shop. (sic)”
The new line is made up of three styles – the High Waisted Bonded Thong, High Waisted Bonded Brief, and High Waisted Bonded Short.
Kim, 38, described the products as “extra snatching” in the tummy area, and has said they are more fitting than the brand’s original shapewear, which offers medium to high support.
The Contour Collection is strictly designed for super high support, which means they’re designed to tightly contour your body with intense compression that lifts, smooths and firms.
Kim explained: “The everyday solution wear is [more of a] medium hold and this is major hold for your tummy.”
The products in the new range are priced between $68 and $98, and come in sizes XXS to 4X.
The maximum support collection comes just one week after Kim also launched a new super comfy range, named the SKIMS Cotton Collection.
Announcing the line of comfort clothing, Kim wrote on Instagram: “I am so excited for the @skims cotton collection to launch this Tuesday. It’s the most comfortable everyday bras and underwear in all of the tones I love! The comfy basics! I’m wearing the @skims Cotton Underwire Bra ($48) in kyanite, coming soon in 31 band and cup sizes. Shop the Cotton Collection on October 15 at 9AM PST / 12PM EST. (sic)”
The range included five different styles of bra and underwear, as well as thermal leggings, a cropped tank top, a t-shirt, and a slip dress.

Susanna Reid blasts Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid has hit out at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter is not a fan of Paltrow’s controversial wellness business and blasted a recent article from Goop about healthy eating, which talks about maintaining the “leanest liveable weight”.
Writing in her column for the Daily Mail newspaper, Susanna said: “Surprise, surprise, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop lifestyle brand is at it again. An article about healthy eating advises her fans to aim for their ‘leanest liveable weight’.
“I’m not signed up to Goop. Funnily enough, I’m not in the market for a £126 stone essential oil diffuser. But these words set all my alarm bells ringing.
“It’s just the latest in a long line of bizarre and controversial endorsements by Goop for the likes of bee-sting facials, ‘moon dust’ smoothies and, most disturbingly, vaginal steaming — which left one woman with severe burns.”
Although Susanna went on to acknowledge that the article refers to “the leanest weight you can be without strict dieting”, she believes Paltrow needs to be more careful about the articles that are commissioned for her brand as they can be misinterpreted.
She said: “Gwyneth’s response is to say she doesn’t read everything on Goop. That’s not good enough. People with her profile and influence need to be aware that power and success come with responsibility.
“You are accountable to people who look up to you, and if her website — which is reportedly worth millions — promotes advice that might be misinterpreted by those susceptible to eating disorders, that account-ability isn’t being upheld.
“Gwyneth may claim she’s just as entitled as anyone else to share opinions online, but the truth is people buy into products endorsed by celebrities, so we have to be extra careful.”

Zendaya’s make-up secrets

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya is very involved in creating her red-carpet looks.
The 23-year-old actress works closely with her glam squad, stylist Law Roach, hairstylist Ursula Stephen and make-up artist Sheika Daley to ensure her look matches her creative vision.
Sheika told Refinery29: “Zendaya is specific about the things she likes. It’s better that way because I’ve also been able to learn exactly what she wants and doesn’t want over the years. It’s less about trial and error with us because she can tell me right away that, for example, she doesn’t like cat-eyes on the red carpet, or that a certain look doesn’t photograph well.
“Sometimes you have clients who could care less about their hair and makeup and just want to finish and go home, but Zendaya just gets it. She likes to look pretty, she likes the job to be done well, she understands the creative process and our roles. She doesn’t underestimate it or devalue it. I adore that about her.”
Sheika also revealed that Zendaya takes inspiration for her red-carpet looks from everywhere she goes.
She said: “She’s constantly inspired by everything she sees and everywhere she goes. I’m supposed to travel with her to Rome in the next few months, so she might get inspired by what she sees there, which will probably affect whatever we do for awards season. I know we’ll create something monumental that everyone will be talking about for awhile. What, exactly? I don’t know, but it’s Zendaya, so I know it’s going to be magical.”

Olivier Rousteing inspired by pal Cara Delevingne

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivier Rousteing says the new PUMA x Balmain collection was inspired by his and Cara Delevingne’s love of boxing.
Cara is the face of the new athleisure collection, which has been inspired by the sport of boxing, and Olivier jumped at the chance to work with his pal, who he says always “gives 300 per cent”.
He said: “I’ve known Cara for a number of years, and she’s not someone who will just lend her name to something. She gives 300 per cent. And given our shared love of boxing, the inspiration was easy.”
The new capsule collaboration is unisex and features mesh tank tops, distressed hoodies, graphic T-shirts and slim sweatpants.
Speaking about the collection, Cara said: “PUMA has always represented team work and empowerment so the idea of doing a partnership with Olivier seemed very fitting.”
Olivier added: “Balmain has a similar brave fierceness to their brand as PUMA does and it really excited me to think of what we could all do together. Cara is a good friend, and this is the fruit of a shared vision. Everyone involved – PUMA, Balmain, Cara and me – was determined to create something timeless. Above all, we knew that our message needed to be a strong one, reflecting exactly who we are and what we believe in.”
The collection will launch on November 21st on Puma.com, Balmain.com, and select retailers worldwide.

Harry Styles keeps his couture outfits cryogenically frozen

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles stores his couture outfits in a frozen vault.
Fashion plays a huge part in the 25-year-old singer/songwriter’s career and he has a secret vault in London where he keeps his most famous outfits cryogenically frozen under 24 hour surveillance.
His designer friend Harris Reed, who often creates outfits for the star, told Britain’s GQ: “I can’t say where it is located, but everything goes to an archive. It’s basically like a giant refrigerator – a frozen vault – somewhere in London where I am not going to disclose. But the clothes all have 24 hours surveillance, which you can look at via an iPad, specifically done for his outfits, and they have all been cryogenically frozen in time to preserve them. “That’s also what is more surreal for me. After his first solo tour that I produced 14-15 looks for – he wore about six or seven – I was wondering where the others were and he was like, ‘Don’t worry, they are all under surveillance.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that’s chic.'”
Harris also revealed that although Harry likes to push the boundaries with his fashion choices, there are some items that are too much for him.
He said: “He is so lovely and I don’t think he ever wants to tell someone ‘no’ but there’s definitely been a time when I laid out the designs from the most timid to the craziest, and when we got the craziest, he does this thing with his lips where he smiles, but he he’s like, ‘OK, we’re not going to go this far.’
“But it probably involved an outfit with his ass hanging out or some huge Liberace cape… So he’s always open, but sometimes I can see in his eyes that he’s not quite there with me. I try to read those little mannerisms.”

Tyler Cameron slams Kanye West over Kim Kardashian West outfit criticism

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyler Cameron has blasted Kanye West for his criticism of Kim Kardashian West’s sexy outfits.
On a recently episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, Kanye blasted Kim’s Met Gala outfit for being too revealing, telling her “You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” but ‘Bachelorette’ star Tyler was not impressed.
He shared a clip of the episode on Twitter and wrote: “What not to do. You should want your significant other to be sexy and feel sexy. Ye lost his confidence. Fellas if you can’t stand the heat get out the kitchen. Encourage your significant other to be all they can be. Not hold them back.”
During the episode, Kanye told Kim, 38, that her revealing outfits affect his “soul” as a married man.
Speaking about her stunning Thierry Mugler dress, the 42-year-old rapper said: “The corset, underwear, all of that vibe, I just feel like I just went through this transition where, from being a rapper, like, looking at all these girls, and looking at my wife, like, oh, my girl needs to be just like the other girls, showing her body off, showing this, showing that.
“And I didn’t see that that was affecting, like, my soul and my spirit as someone that’s married and loved, and the father of, like, now what about to be four kids.
“A corset is like a form of underwear. It’s hot. It’s like, it’s hot for who, though?”
However, the reality star fired back and told her man – with whom she shares children North, six, Saint, three, Chicago, 17 months, and four-month-old Psalm – she didn’t need the “negative energy” of his disapproval.
She argued: “You knew last night I was having really bad anxiety, and I don’t need any more negative energy for you to now say that you’re not into me wearing a tight dress.
“You built me up to be, like, this sexy person and confident and all this stuff. And just because you’re on a journey, and you’re on your transformation doesn’t mean that I’m in the same spot with you.”

Bruce Oldfield praises Kim Kardashian West

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Oldfield has praised Kim Kardashian West for helping women to embrace their curves.
The 69-year-old designer – who has designed clothing for stars including Rosamund Pike, Jerry Hall and the late Princess Diana – says women are more accepting of their curves since Kim, 38, stepped into the spotlight.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Women now no longer just want to look thin. Since Kim Kardashian — a Vogue cover girl, no less — the goalposts for what a woman wants her figure to be have changed. They want curves. In the old days, you’d cover up a big bum. Now, young It girls and influencers display theirs with pride in figure-hugging clothes. It’s great that we’re moving away from one prescribed body shape; it’s more democratic and realistic.”
Bruce also praised his late friend, Princess Diana, for her resilience.
He said: “I’ve dressed women young and old, from Charlotte Rampling to the Princess of Wales, Faye Dunaway to Queen Rania of Jordan.
“My clients trust my instinct and honesty. I’m a sounding board — the good friend a woman can tell everything.
“Don’t let life pigeonhole you. That was a life lesson taught to me by another strong woman: the Princess of Wales. We were friends. She had such grace and charm and also taught me another thing I’ve come to live by: not to let the brutes get you down.”

Jessica Simpson’s weight loss secrets

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Simpson lost 100lbs by changing her diet.
The 39-year-old singer ballooned to 240lbs when she was pregnant with her now-seven-month-old daughter Birdie but managed to get back to her pre-baby weight in six months thanks to some help from her trainer Harley Pasternak, who helped her to overhaul her diet.
He told Us Weekly: “It’s not about the workouts. You don’t lose weight doing biceps curls and lunges. You lose weight by changing your diet, hitting your step goal, working on your sleep … those were the things she did so well.”
He also revealed that Jessica follows the principles of his 2013 book, ‘The Body Reset Diet’ and had three meals and two snacks a day with protein, fiber and healthy fat.
Jessica previously said she was working “really hard” on her body by walking lots and eating healthily because she wanted to feel “good” in her own skin.
She said at the time: “I am working really hard right now. It’s not easy at all, but I am determined to feel good.
“I have been doing a lot of walking – getting my steps in not only burns calories but it also helps me clear my head and get focused. I am eating healthy too – I discovered I really like cauliflower. Who knew it could be a substitute for almost anything?”
As well as working on her post-baby body, the ‘With You’ hitmaker – who also has Ace, six, and Maxwell, seven, with her husband Eric Johnson – was trying to find a way to juggle being a mother to three children.
She explained: “Three kids is no joke. It is definitely constant, and the biggest challenge for me is trying to be present when I am pulled in so many directions. They are all in such different phases now.”

Zoe Kravitz’s natural look

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz prefers to keep her hair natural.
The 30-year-old actress has experimented with a number of different styles over the years but has learned to embrace her natural hair.
She told Refinery29: “The struggle’s always been real for me and my hair. The options can seem limited when you have a kinkier texture. I really prefer my hair being natural.”
Hairstylist Nikki Nelms – who has worked with Zoe since 2013 – says Zoe is becoming more confident about experimenting with her natural look.
She said: “She’s super open to change and not that attached to anything. She’s open to length or cutting it, darkening or bleaching. When you’re open, you can experience more.”
Zoe also revealed she tries to adopt the natural approach when it comes to make-up too.
The YSL Beauty brand ambassador said: “It shouldn’t be something you use to cover up. And I feel like YSL Beauty isn’t asking me to cover myself up or be something I’m not. Make-up should highlight your individuality.
“Their foundations are great, Touche Éclat is like 24 hours of sleep in a pen that you can put in your pocket. You just have to learn what works for you, and learn what doesn’t.”

Amber Heard is skincare ‘maniac”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amber Heard is a “maniac” about looking after her skin.
The ‘Aquaman’ actress uses a variety of products to keep her complexion smooth and clear and is a particular “sucker” for a face mask.
She admitted: “I’m a maniac about washing my face and moisturising everything. I love a lot of serums and creams. I have to admit I’m a sucker for a good face mask — I’m doing them all the time.”
Amber recently made her debut at Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris and admitted walking in the beauty brand’s annual Paris Fashion Week public show alongside the likes of Eva Longoria and Camila Cabello was “a bit scary”.
Asked her favourite part of the show, she told The Cut: “I love the way all of the various creative disciplines come together to make a fashion show.
“It’s a very bold way to celebrate, and what better way to do that than Fashion Week in Paris, a place that’s at the heart of the L’Oréal brand?
“I also like doing anything new. This really is new for me, and maybe a bit scary, but because I’m with the people I’ve come to know and love and trust over the past couple of years, it’s more exciting than scary.”
When it comes to handing out beauty advice, the best tip the 33-year-old actress – who was previously married to actor Johnny Depp – can offer is to “own it” and be confident.
Asked her best beauty tip, she said: “Own it! Own it, whatever it is. There are always times when you don’t feel good enough, but nothing is more beautiful than confidence.”

N Peal launching James Bond collection

OHMYGOSSIP — James Bond has inspired a new collection from N. Peal.
The British cashmere brand have taken inspiration from all the incantations of 007, from the first spy Sir Sean Connery to current Bond Daniel Craig, as they think the character’s “understated” style perfectly suits their own “aesthetic”.
Owner Adam Holdsworth told The Hollywood Reporter: “Everybody has their favourite Bond.
“He’s not a flashy guy. He’s always smartly dressed but slightly understated.
“We’re not a fashion brand; we’re about style and a timeless aesthetic.”
The collection includes a waistcoat and tie in the style of Sean’s ‘Goldfinger’ outfits, a knit bomber jacket and turtleneck similar to those worn by George Lazenby in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, Timothy Dalton’s sweater and checked scarf from ‘The Living Daylights’, a chunky turtleneck like Pierce Brosnan’s ‘Die Another Day’ piece, a diamond-quilted vest with leather patches – the most expensive in the range at $690 – and marl sweater inspired by Sir Roger Moore in ‘For Your Eyes Only’, and a cashmere crewneck to match one warn by Daniel in ‘Skyfall’.
Adam said: “We went back in the archives going back to Sean Connery. Everyone’s got their favourite Bond, so we wanted to cover all the actors.
“Then it was about picking images that we felt would best translate into cashmere and having a breadth of interest there, from smaller pieces like a tie, a hat or gloves but also middle-weight pieces and then the bigger heavier chunkier things…
“There so many pieces in there for different occasions, whether it’s a black roll-neck for looking cool or the marl sweater and waistcoat, which is more country. And then the slightly more retro look from ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, which still has a place in today’s world.”
Daniel wore N. Peal pieces in both ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Spectre’ and it seems he’s set to do so again in the upcoming ‘No Time To Die’.
Adam teased: “It’s an exciting piece and and an exciting scene.”
