Paris Hilton’s toned down look inspired by sister Nicky

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton has been inspired by her younger sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild to “tone down” her look “a little”.
The 38-year-old hotel heiress is known for going all out, with “pink and sparkles” very much a staple in her wardrobe, but when she is chilling at home she opts for her signature velour Juicy Couture tracksuits.
However, she has revealed that she now likes to dress a “bit more understated sometimes” like her 36-year-old sibling, with her favourite look being a Chanel suit.
That doesn’t mean to say you won’t see her reverting back to her OTT style every now and then.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, she said: “I do have a signature look – I love pink and I love sparkles – but my style has changed over the years.
“I have been really influenced by my sister Nicky, whose style has always been the complete opposite of mine.
“I’ve learned to tone it down a little bit, be a little bit more understated sometimes.
“But it depends on the situation; I’m a chameleon.
“I can show up in a Chanel suit, looking like a businesswoman, but if I’m at a party or Halloween or Burning Man, then I’m going all out.”
Paris also revealed that British supermodel Kate Moss, 45, and former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 45, are her fashion muses.
She said: “Growing up, I always had my own sense of style.
“I loved being unique and original and coming up with my own trends.
“I love the way Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham dress – they always look so chic and stylish.
“When I go to a party, I love to be glamorous and go all out; I like to sparkle and feel amazing.
“However, my everyday wear is very comfortable.
“I love Juicy Couture’s velour tracksuits; I probably own 100 of them in every colour. That’s my uniform when I’m chilling at home or going to the beach – anything that doesn’t involve a red carpet.”

Victoria Beckham introduces daughter Harper to face masks

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has introduced her daughter Harper to face masks.
The 45-year-old fashion designer – who recently brought out her own Victoria Beckham Beauty range – took to her Instagram Stories this week to share a picture of her eight-year-old girl – whom she has with husband David Beckham – wearing the cucumber eye pads she uses to reduce puffiness and revealed her daughter also used a face mask.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: “Wonder who Harper Seven takes after? [laughing crying emojis] cucumber and face mask with mummy today xxx kisses from the sunshine x (sic)”
It wasn’t Harper’s first foray into beauty either, as her mum – who also has Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 14, with the retired soccer star – recently revealed she likes to “play with make-up” with her little girl.
The former Spice Girls singer insisted she wouldn’t let Harper go out with cosmetics on her face, but she and her “girly” child like to experiment and play around with products when they’re relaxing at home.
She said: “Harper’s really girly so we do enjoy make up at home. I mean, she wouldn’t go out of the house with make up on obviously, but I think it’s a really nice thing you can do with your daughter, you know. Play with make up and have fun.”
And Harper isn’t the only person Victoria shares many of her beauty products with.
She said: “David one hundred percent steals my beauty products. We share beauty products.”

Felicity Jones compares skincare to maintaining a relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones has compared looking after her skin to maintaining a relationship.
The ‘On the Basis of Sex’ star has revealed she only came to realise the importance of having a “ritual” for her complexion after visiting Japan and trying out some J-beauty products.
In an interview with Marie Claire, she said: “I recently visited Japan and one of the main things I learnt is the importance of having a ritual, to take time to look after yourself and your skin and the effect that can have.
“It’s like a relationship – the more you look after your skin, the better it looks, so I now have a routine that I love to do.”
The 36-year-old actress believes in quality over quantity and revealed she uses a rather pricey £200 cleansing foam.
Asked if she follows a 13-stage beauty routine like Koreans do, she replied: “No, no, I think that the power of skincare is in the simplicity and finding the best products that are a shortcut to looking good.”
On how she looks after her skin, she said: “I use the Clé de Peau Beauté Softening Cleansing Foam every single day and also their serum, which I’ll often work in using a facial massager…”
And when she is up bright and early for filming, Felicity uses a jade roller to help her wake up.
She said: “I like to use that in the morning because it helps to wake your face up. If you are up early in the morning for shooting a jade roller definitely helps to have a little face gym going on beforehand!”
The ‘Inferno’ star also revealed she has started doing aromatherapy to relax and admitted she no longer feels “guilty” about taking time off.
She said: “Actually I learnt not to feel guilty about taking time out.
“I love having hot baths, doing yoga and I’m getting into aromatherapy, too.”
Asked what her favourite oils to use are, she said: “Yeah, I love lavender oil. It’s just very simple and sometimes I’ll mix it with massage oil-based products and put them in the bath.”

Danielle Brooks’ maternity range doesn’t just look ‘baggy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Brooks created her Fit Liberty (Mom) maternity collection because she couldn’t find clothes which complimented her figure and not just look “baggy”.
The ‘Orange Is the New Black’ star – who revealed in July that she is pregnant with her first child, a girl, with an unnamed partner – decided to launch the range with the inclusive brand Universal Standard because she didn’t feel anywhere else was making pieces fit for expectant mothers of different shapes and sizes.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she said: “For some women, the only thing that is changing is their belly.
“It’s not their thighs and it’s not their arms.
“I was finding that my clothes were just looking baggy and not looking fit for me.
“As a consumer, it feels like people in this industry are acting as if they hear you as a consumer, but they really don’t.
“They act as if they’re listening to what we want, and I don’t really feel like they 100 percent do.”
The 30-year-old beauty also heaped praise on designer Christian Siriano – who launched his namesake collection in 2008 – for always making her feel like “a million bucks” and dressing her in clothes which make her feel “comfortable” and flatter her figure, just like she aims to do with the collection for Universal Standard.
She said: “I’m just grateful for people like Christian Siriano, who I can call and say, ‘Hey, I really want to feel like a million bucks at my last premiere for ‘Orange Is the New Black’. Can you help me out?’
“He’s smart enough to find the material to make sure that I’m comfortable and make sure that everything fits like a glove.
“And I appreciate his ear, the fact that he listens, and I feel the same way about Universal Standard.”

Lea Michele: Glee kick-started her wellness journey

OHMYGOSSIP — Lea Michele realised she needed to change her diet when she began working on ‘Glee’.
The 33-year-old actress has always had a positive relationship with her body, however, when she was shooting Ryan Murphy’s hit musical TV show she soon learned that the better she ate and the more exercise she did the better her on-camera performances were.
Speaking to Health magazine, she said: “I started to learn that the better I was eating and the better I was taking care of myself, the better I was looking and performing and feeling. From there, it just started to snowball. I became obsessed with learning what was best for me, whether it was a workout or a type of cleanse.”
The Broadway insists she has always been happy with her petite frame but when she reached her thirties she made more alterations to her diet and exercise regime which suited the changes happening to her metabolism.
Leah’s husband Zandy Reich has also given her even more body confidence because he is always telling her how beautiful she is.
She explained: “I’ve never had a negative relationship with my body.
“[Turning 30] was a moment where I had to think, ‘OK, I’m older and things are not going to be the same as they were before.
“So, I took the time to listen to my body and figure out what it needed. Now, I’m 33 and so happy with my body. My husband thinks I’m the most beautiful girl in the world, which is pretty great. But it’s mostly about how I feel in my own skin – and I feel truly great.”
The ‘Scream Queens’ star recently revealed she suffers with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) but she has been able to manage her condition with a plant-based diet.”

Liam Gallagher teams up with Nigel Cabourn to create parka

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher has collaborated with British menswear designer Nigel Cabourn to create the exclusive smock parka.
The pair have come together to create a very limited edition reversible parka – Liam’s trademark jacket – that mixes military history and British popular culture.
The ripstop cotton piece is exclusive only to Nigel Cabourn stores in London and Japan and its online store.
Speaking about his collaboration with Liam, the 70-year-old designer said: “The parka has a special place in both our lives. I’ve been designing my own take on this great functional piece of clothing for decades now and Liam has been collecting and wearing parkas on stage for a large part of his 28-year music career. It’s definitely something we’re both passionate about and I think this shows in the parka we’ve produced.”
Inspired by a 1940s military smock, the special piece has been updated with a longer length and a dipped hem at the back but remains many of the original features.
Lancashire based Mackintosh using British heritage fabric Ventile – which was originally developed at the Shirley Institute in Manchester specifically for the RAF in WW2 – coats the design and comes in five military inspired colours; navy, army green, vintage orange, yellow and black.
The collaboration parka launched on Monday (21.10.19) in Nigel Cabourn Army Gym stores, retailing at £895.
This not the first time Liam has dipped his toe into the fashion world.
The former Oasis frontman founded the menswear brand Pretty Green in 2009 and despite being successful and winning a host of awards it went into administration earlier this year following the collapse of House of Fraser with the British department store owing Pretty Green more than £500,000.
Sportswear giant JD Sports purchased Pretty Green and now focuses on online sales but the company has kept the brand’s flagship store in Manchester, Liam’s hometown, open.

Levi’s team up with Star Wars for new collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Levi Strauss & Co. have teamed up with ‘Star Wars’ for a new collection.
The clothing company – known best for its Levi’s denim jeans – are collaborating with the team behind the science fiction franchise on a collection, which will pay homage to some of the most iconic characters and phrases from the movies.
Jonathan Cheung, senior vice president of design innovation at Levi’s, said: “Essentially it’s kind of T-shirts and jeans, which is the Levi’s uniform. I’m always looking for shared history and our design time is always looking for meaning. We want to do something that’s more than just logos on a T-shirt. So any kind of backstory or relationship that we can find … it provides a subliminal backdrop, inspiration and a ground of authenticity to the creative process … It’s such a mix of incredible gratitude and the awareness that we are building another slice of culture both for the Levi’s archive and our legacy and the Star Wars legacy as well. It becomes part of the extended Star Wars family so I think it’s a very, very special thing. I feel like it’s creating history, a moment in pop culture. We always want to go in as fans. We want people to feel the love and the excitement and the exhilaration and the pinch-yourself specialness that we genuinely feel. We feel that if we go in with that, some of that will come out in the end. And I certainly believe that has.”
One of the most iconic pieces is a pair of denim jeans with the famous ‘May the Force Be with You’ quote stitched on in black and yellow.
Cheung added: “It is such a universal uplifting phrase, you know? It’s the kind of thing you might tell yourself or your children before you face a particular challenge.”
The new Star Wars x Levi’s collection will go on sale on November 1.

Lauren Conrad’s clothing collections mirror her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Conrad’s clothing collection has “mirrored her life milestones”.
The 33-year-old television personality has released a new collection to mark 10 years of her lifestyle brand and loves how the collection links in with her own life.
She said: “We really started as a clothing line and have become a lifestyle brand. It’s been really nice to grow along with this brand. They really mirrored my life milestones. We did a maternity line when I was pregnant. Whenever there’s something happening in my life, they’re like, ‘Let’s talk about it, it should be reflected in the line,’ which is really cool. I think as I continue to grow and have changes in my life that will continue to be shown throughout the line.”
And the ‘Hills’ star says this new 10th anniversary collection will encapsulate the brand.
Speaking in a video to mark the tenth anniversary and also launch the new collection to celebrate the milestone, she added: “The 10th anniversary collection is inspired by everything that this line stands for. You’ll see that through the colour story and the embellishment and the fabrics and silhouettes. It’s really a concentrated collection of our aesthetic and I’m very excited about. It really feels like a celebration of this brand.”
Lauren launched a plus size clothing range back in 2017.
She said: “I thought, ‘What better time to add Plus?’ Every woman, no matter her shape and size, should have access to cute outfits for a great girls’ night out.”
Lauren handpicked YouTube star Loey Lane to star in the campaign and represent her brand because she though the online sensation was the “perfect model” for the commercials.
She added: “Loey was the perfect model for this. What better way to introduce Plus than have the beautiful Loey Lane be our model.”

Daisy Lowe bodyshamed by ex

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe was bodyshamed by an ex after putting on weight due to medication.
The model has recalled how she was slammed by a previous boyfriend, who told her to shed the pounds or she would lose her modelling work after she gained some weight.
Speaking to Mel B for The Truth Flirts, the singer’s new brutally honest podcast with dating app, Badoo, Daisy said: “I hadn’t been very well, and I was on annoying medication that made me put on a lot of weight. We had been seeing each other for a while but I knew at this point that it was definitely over.
“He was in a bad mood or whatever, so I was like, ‘You’re in a really bad mood so I’m just going to leave you in here and go shower’ got in the shower and because obviously he didn’t like that I had said that to him he came into the shower, and bearing in mind, I am starkers and showering, he pointed at me and said, ‘You’re so disgusting you need to lose weight so you can get work.’ And I was like you know what, we’re done. You and me, over, bye! I was like do you ever think I want to get on top of you again, no thank you.”
And it’s not the only bad dating experience Daisy has had.

Monica Bellucci respects her natural features

OHMYGOSSIP — Monica Bellucci “respects” her natural features.
The ‘Spectre’ star feels it is important for women to accept themselves for who they are and criticises society’s need to tell people to “pretend to be someone else”.
She said: “I think it is important, at a certain point, to accept yourself. My nature is to be a shapely woman and of course, if before a role I have to lose some weight I do it, but my nature is to be like that. And also, I want to respect my nature, I think it’s important. Because, even when I was a model, a long time ago, I was like that and I would never pretend to be someone else.”
And the 55-year-old actress thinks creating the “ideal woman” that everyone else has to be is “dangerous”.
She added: “I think that, the secret is, we are all different and the difference is the beauty. I don’t think that we have to all look the same. Sometimes in fashion, they create the ideal woman and they have to be all the same. And sometimes this can be dangerous because I think that we are all beautiful and different and beautiful in a different way.”
And Monica feels women stay younger longer nowadays.
She told Australia’s 9Honey Celebrity: “What’s interesting is that women today stay young for a long time. They feel more free to speak out, they have so much respect for themselves because they are more involved in society and they’re more independent. And because of that, they’re much more respected, in some way. And, at the same time, women today, if they take care of themselves, they can stay in good shape for a long time so, ultimately, they see themselves in a different way and that’s why they are looked, they are watched, in a different way.”

Emily Andre wouldn’t rule out plastic surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Andre wouldn’t rule out having cosmetic surgery.
The 30-year-old junior doctor – who married ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker Peter Andre in 2015 – has revealed that she is “not against” going under the knife in the future.
Writing in her ‘OK!’ column, Emily said: “I wouldn’t say I’ll never get cosmetic procedures in the future, because how can you say that?
“The plastic surgery industry is changing rapidly with an increasing number of people opting to go for non-surgical procedures, so it will be interesting to see how things are over the next few years.”
The brunette beauty was discussing the upcoming TV show ‘The Surjury, presented by Caroline Flack, which has been criticised for glamourising cosmetic surgery.
The show sees contestants pitch their dream surgical procedure to a jury and if 75 percent of the jury agree with them, they get the procedure for free.
Emily is not against the show, but urged contestants to do their research.
She said: “I’m not against plastic surgery, as long as the contestants have researched the procedures and don’t take unnecessary risk then I don’t think anyone should be judged for their decisions.
“Plastic surgeons can do some amazing things and it can really be life-changing, especially in situations like burns.”
Emily – who has children Amelia, five, and Theodore, two, with Peter – feels that social media is to blame for people feeling the need to alter their appearance.
She added: “It’s very easy to judge people for having plastic surgery and say it’s vain, but I think society and social media are more to blame for why people feel the need to change themselves.”

Sharon Stone loves her body ‘so much more’ now

OHMYGOSSIP — Sharon Stone loves her body “so much more” now.
The 61-year-old actress – who credits Pilates for her impressive physique – has admitted she has learned to appreciate her figure after years of being judged by her appearance.
The former fashion model told the latest issue of Allure magazine: “I like my body so much more.
“I’m so grateful to my body.
“When I was younger, everybody was telling me what was wrong with my body – too this, too that.”
Sharon hated it when she was plastered in make-up for her role as Catherine Tramell in 1992’s ‘Basic Instinct’ and revealed she wasn’t able to pick her own look for the part.
She said: “When I got on ‘Basic Instinct’, they hired a make-up artist that put on pounds of make-up every day, and every day I went to my trailer and took the make-up off.
“But I wasn’t allowed to choose my make-up artist, nor was my name (above the title) on the poster.”
The ‘Life on the Line’ star also revealed that she felt the “most beautiful” in her forties – despite going through the most challenging time in her life.
The Hollywood legend – who has adopted sons 14-year-old Laird and 13-year-old Quinn, and 19-year-old Roan with ex-husband Phil Bronstein – received visitation rights to Ronan in 2004, a year after splitting from her former spouse, and also had to remortgage her house in the wake of suffering a stroke.
And although she claimed it was difficult to find work because of her age, she looks back on that time fondly in terms of her beauty.
She said: “My forties were so beautiful.
“I couldn’t work because women, once they got to be 40, were not given jobs in Hollywood.
“I was a mom with three beautiful little boys.
“I was recovering from a massive brain injury, and I was in custody court constantly over my oldest child.
“But there was something wonderful in that period of all those challenges.
“It was my period of the biggest change, but the period where I thought I was the most beautiful.”
The ‘Casino’ star previously insisted the most important thing that makes her so stunning is having “real inner beauty”.
She said: “Also, for me, it’s more about real inner beauty. It’s important to have a philosophy or way of life or faith that keeps you balanced. For me, that has been Buddhism. It’s something that brings you back to center, and is really the key to serenity and beauty – an internal sense of form and elegance.”

Christy Turlington credits Maybelline for providing her with skills to launch charity

OHMYGOSSIP — Christy Turlington credits her work with Maybelline with helping her gain the skills to launch her charity Every Mother Counts.
The 50-year-old supermodel was honoured with the Advocate Award at the 2019 InStyle Awards this week, and she opened up about how the beauty brand – which she first started working with in 1991 – changed her life and enabled her to start the non-profit organisation to improve medical care for women all over the world.
She said: “I am often asked what my first career taught me about the career that I’m in now and I usually say ‘Nothing,’ but that’s not true.
“I would say that relationships are something that I learned very early on and people like Amber (Valletta) and so many people at my table, Lisa, who’s worked with me for 25,
“26 years, the relationships get deep and I’m most proud of those.
“Maybelline, I have to say I’m so grateful. We started working together when I was 22 and I turn 50 this year. I think that’s an anomaly.”
Christy’s charity work has landed her several prestigious awards, including being named in British Vogue’s “special” ‘Forces For Change’ issue last year.
The brunette beauty was one of 15 inspirational women featured on the cover of the fashion bible’s prestigious fall issue, alongside Adwoa Aboah, Gemma Chan, Laverne Cox, Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek and Jameela Jamil, which was guest edited by the Duchess of Sussex.
Christy was chosen because of her work with Every Mother Counts and she admitted she felt humbled that the royal – who was known as Meghan Markle before her marriage to Prince Harry – and British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, recognised her “advocacy efforts” for the charity, which improves maternal health care.
She said on Instagram: “It’s truly an honor to be one of the 15 women featured on the September cover of @britishvogue’s #ForcesforChange issue.
“Every cover I have shot for this magazine since my first in 1986 has been special and with each cover shoot and story there’s a greater story behind it. This one is uniquely different than all the others because a. it’s 34 years later and b. I share it with women I have admired and respected from a distance.
“This cover has brought us virtually closer and has helped to amplify our individual voices by bringing us together. The reason I started @everymomcounts, the organization I founded in 2010, is my belief that every woman deserves the same access to safe and respectful maternity care and that every mother deserves the chance to not only survive pregnancy and childbirth but also to thrive in motherhood.
“Thank you @sussexroyal & @edward_enninful for the recognition not only of me and my advocacy efforts but for seeing the importance of the inclusion of maternal health among the other global challenges and barriers we are collectively working to break down. @therealpeterlindbergh @therealgracecoddington @bartpumpkin @diane.kendal (sic)”

Elizabeth Hurley uses ‘darker’ foundation to achieve healthy complexion

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Hurley uses “darker” foundation to make herself look a “bit healthier”.
The 54-year-old actress-and-model – who is the spokesperson for Estée Lauder, a title she has held since 1995 – has revealed the secret to her youthful complexion is blending in a slightly darker shade of foundation than she used to because she says she “can look a bit pale and peaky” sometimes.
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, she said: “I like dark, smoky eyes and a pale, glossy lip so I tend to stick to it. I use a slightly darker foundation now than I used to, because I find that by the time I blend it in, it makes me look a bit healthier. “Because I don’t have much colour in my face naturally, and can look a bit pale and peaky, I always use a pink cream blush on my cheeks, too.”
The fashion icon says her best beauty advise is to always make sure everything is blended in properly.
She said: “You have to blend everything well.
“There’s a trend for putting everything on with your fingertips, which is fine but I think a couple of good brushes stand you in good stead and help blend everything in.”
When it comes to keeping fit, the ‘Bedazzled’ star says she doesn’t’ need to follow a fitness regime because she keeps “very active” with gardening, dog walks and fixing her home.
She said: “I don’t do anything specific to keep fit but I’m very active – whatever I do, I do with gusto. I run up the stairs, walk the dog, do a lot of gardening.
“I go out into my woods and chop down trees and attack hedges with my hedge trimmer.
“Or, I’m filling gaps in my floorboards with this wonderful new tool I found. I’m active all the time.”

Julianne Moore is ‘always really sorry’ when she ‘goes too trendy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Julianne Moore is “always really sorry” when she “goes too trendy”.
The ‘Still Alice’ star admits she prefers being “classic” with her fashion choices, something which has stemmed from her childhood.
She said: “As a teenager I was always pretty conservative, so I didn’t have a childhood style icon. My mother would give us a little bit of money to go shopping at the beginning of the school year, and I would come back with one plaid skirt and one sweater, and that was all of my money spent. My sister would come back with a boat-load of clothes because she would go to one of those places where you can buy a gazillion things for less. I essentially spent all of my money on two really traditional things, while my sister would get lots of clothes that were much more interesting, for less money. I’ve always bought pretty classic stuff … Even now, I’m much happier when I do that. When I intentionally go too trendy I’m always really sorry because it doesn’t suit me, and I don’t wear it as often.”
And the 58-year-old actress has a number of fashion regrets, but says her worst one was at the Golden Globe awards in 1998 when she was nominated or Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for ‘Boogie Nights’.
She added to Vogue.co.uk: “Oh, I have a huge regret [over] a dress that I wore when I was nominated for a Golden Globe right after my son was born. My baby was only six weeks old – and I wasn’t my usual size because I hadn’t lost the baby weight obviously – and I was in this very shiny, satin dress and it was very low cut, which was really a mistake because I was nursing. My body looked terrible and my boobs got bigger and bigger through the night and my hair and make-up weren’t good. It was just an absolute fiasco.”

Charlotte Tilbury feels ‘flat’ when she’s not wearing heels

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Tilbury’s “personality feels flat” if she doesn’t wear high heels.
The make up artist and beauty expert will always opt for heeled shoes as she admits she feels “flat” in her personality without them.
She said: “I live in high heels. If I wear flats, my personality feels flat, too. My husband recently bought me the most heavenly pair of Aquazzura shoes which I love. They’re 1950s-inspired silver-and-gold heels, and I call them my princess shoes. I often say that high heels and dancing are my only form of exercise. Even though I’m on my feet all day, I can’t function without some power heels.”
And the 46-year-old businesswoman loves using a jade roller on her face as it helps with “boosting circulation and blood flow”.
She added: “I have been using a jade roller on my face every day because I just love the cooling and calming effect it has on my skin. This roller is amazing for boosting circulation and blood flow, which helps to brighten your complexion. The one thing I will tell people who are using them: Remember to only ever roll upwards! You don’t ever want to pull your skin down (I see that being done all the time).”
Charlotte likes to use a “magical menagerie” of vitamins and herbal remedies to keep her energy and immune system up to scratch.
She told The Strategist: “I take lots of homeopathic drops and I always have a magical menagerie of vitamins and herbal remedies to boost my immune system and keep my energy levels high. One of my favourites is arnica, which is great for jet lag and for bruises, actually.”
