Kim Kardashian West mocks Kylie Jenner’s make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West jokingly branded Kylie Jenner’s make-up range “cheap s**t” after an online tutorial went wrong.
The KKW Beauty founder had agreed to let the lip kit guru give her a makeover but proceedings were called to a halt when the 22-year-old star struggled to get to grips with her own product.
Kylie – who pointed out she isn’t a professional make-up artist – began by saying: “I love a bright inner corner, so I like to spray …This is a new ones.”
However, the product failed to spritz properly, and as Kylie clicked the nozzle with frustration, she exclaimed: “Why the f**k is this not working?”
Kim wasn’t impressed at having to wait and jokingly claimed the spray was “cheap s**t”.
Her younger half-sibling continued trying to get the bottle to work and again exclaimed: “What the f**k.”
She eventually got the spray going but the tutorial then hit another snag when Kylie was applying Kim’s eye make-up and accidentally removed one of the 39-year-old star’s false eyelashes.
The pair joked they should wish on it but Kylie gave the unusual souvenir to one of her assistants.
But Kim joked she had plans for her “wish” after Kylie recently beat her number of social media followers.
She quipped: “I just wished I would beat you in Instagram again. Now my wish won’t come true.”
Meanwhile, the pair’s mother, Kris Jenner, recently admitted she is “bursting with pride” over her daughters’ success in the beauty industry.
She said: “As a little idea from Kylie and me and Jen and Matthew was there too, a few people with a really big idea… we couldn’t do it without you.
“When we started out, and KKW Beauty was just a dream for a minute, and then we became one big family, it makes me so proud. I am bursting with pride for my daughters.”

Olivia Buckland: Love jolted my obsession with beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland has stopped obsessing with her looks since finding love.
The 26-year-old reality star married her boyfriend Alex Bowen -whom she met on the 2016 series of ‘Love Island’ – in 2018 and she admits that she would cover herself in make-up and false lashes until she met her beau.
Since leaving the villa and feeling secure in her personal life, Olivia rarely worries about what she looks like and is more than happy to go out in casual clothes without any make-up.
Speaking to Grazia, she said: “After ‘Love Island’ I had a newfound confidence about me. I was happy being myself, I wear a lot less make-up now day to day, in fact I don’t often wear it at all unless I’m attending an event or going out.
“I love a fresh face, that’s been a big change. I used to want lashes, brows the lot. That sort of thing does come with age too though, I was a lot younger then.”
And the 27-year-old model credits her confidence to her man Alex, who has given her back her self-confidence and supported her in everything she does.
She continued: “A lot of this has to do with Alex. I’d had a really awful relationship prior to ‘Love Island’, it broke me and make me very self-conscious.
“I had no respect for myself, no love for myself, and it was going in there and finding someone who respects me and loves me for the person that I am that jolted me out of thinking that life was all about make-up, hair and how I looked.”
Despite Alex helping Olivia find confidence without a regular beauty routine, it hasn’t stopped him from dipping into her make-up bag.
Olivia said: “Alex is a typical man, he can’t be bothered to do anything grooming wise really. I always tell him to moisturise but he doesn’t. He does borrow my foundation if he has a spot that needs covering though! He won’t mind me telling you that.”

Tracee Ellis Ross’ hair struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Tracee Ellis Ross’ hair “dried to a pulp” after she poured cans of beer over her locks.
The ‘Black-ish’ actress used to have a “very contentious relationship” with her curls because she had no idea how to treat it and admitted many of the things she tried left her hair damaged.
She said: “I had a very contentious relationship with my hair because I couldn’t find products that supported it.
“My hair was extremely damaged from trying to beat it into submission – from hair relaxers and getting my hair blown out, to putting a blow dryer and hot comb, all the different things that people of colour end up having to try in order to manipulate their hair into what society says it should look like.
“I was trying different things, I put beer in my hair. I had an Italian friend who had big, huge, glorious curls. She would wash her hair, wet them, and then pour a can of beer in her hair. And it would make the curl. So I tried that.
“But that was the beginning of me discovering how my hair did not like alcohol. Maybe for the first couple of hours because they would curl, but if you do that for a month it will be dried to a pulp.”
The 47-year-old star even resorted to trying to “iron” her hair straight.
She told Dazed Beauty: “I’ve tried all of it. I tried ironing my hair with an actual clothing iron. Many, many things that all of us try and do.
“And then I started to educate myself both about what worked on my hair and what didn’t.”
Once she eventually got her hair looking and feeling healthy again, Tracee became “extremely protective” of her locks and wouldn’t let anyone else style her.
She said: “Then by the time I had nursed my hair back to health, I was extremely protective of it. When I started acting professionally I wouldn’t let anyone touch it and I did my hair myself.
“In ‘Girlfriends’, for most of the first two seasons, I didn’t let hair people touch my hair for me.”

Robert Pattinson’s cool commercials

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Pattinson liked getting to be the “cool guy” in his new Dior Homme commercial.
The 33-year-old actor – who has a dance routine in the new fragrance campaign – wouldn’t like to extend the clips into a full movie because he does’t think he could “pull off” the parts but finds it “satisfying” living a new character in brief moments.
He said: “I would never choose to play a part similar to the parts in these ads in a movie. Because I don’t think I’d be able to pull it off in a feature-length amount of time.
“But knowing that you can be a cool guy for, like, 45 seconds, it’s quite satisfying. I guess dancing in front of, like, 200 people by yourself too–that’s definitely not in my comfort zone whatsoever.”
The ‘Lighthouse’ star used to borrow his dad’s cologne when he was younger and go through the rituals of shaving – just without a razor.
Asked the first fragrance he ever wore, he told W magazine: “I was thinking about this earlier. I think it was Joe Bloggs. I think my dad had it.
“Do you know the kind you get at a gas station and it just says ‘cologne’? I think it was that, or maybe Old Spice.
“I used to pretend to shave when I was a kid before I needed to shave and I put it on all the cream and everything and then did the whole process.”
And Robert recalled the effort he used to go to when he was on family holidays.
He said: “I used to put it on when I’d be on holiday with my sisters. They’d be teenagers getting ready and I’d put on some kind of after shave and then grease my hair back with Vaseline and put it into a little rattail ponytail at the back and put on cycling shorts and everyone had to call me Johnny.”

Joey King put CBD cream on her feet before SAG Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey King put CBD cream on her feet before attending the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.
The 20-year-old actress knew she would be in for a “long night” at the annual award ceremony on Sunday (19.01.20), and so decided to cover her feet in CBD cream – which is made cannabidiol, and is thought to soothe muscle and joint pain – before donning her “insane” heels.
When asked by Access Hollywood for her one fashion secret whilst on the red carpet at the event, Joey said: “Oh … I don’t know. I’ve got CBD cream on my feet because I know it’s going to be a long night and these heels are like, insane.”
Joey wore a custom made Jason Wu dress to the star-studded event, which was made from black Chantilly lace and featured a bustier top.
The dress was hand-embellished with nine different types of Swarovski crystals and tiny metal studs, with the total number added to the gown reaching over 5,000.
Joey’s stylist Jared Eng told The Hollywood Reporter: “Jason and I have been discussing and mulling over designs for a few months. We were thinking of doing something custom for the Globes but the turnaround was too tight.”
The look was finished with a Jimmy Choo clutch and a pair of simple earrings.
Joey was at the awards ceremony as an ambassador, and was also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for her performance in ‘The Act’.
And although Michelle Williams bagged the award for her role in ‘Fosse/Verdon’, Joey felt “honoured” to be nominated.
She said: “I feel great. I’m just happy to be here, you know what I mean? I feel just, honoured, that my fellow SAG members thought me worthy to be here. It can’t really get better than that. Being a nominee is really the win.”

Jennifer Lopez wore $9 million in diamonds to SAG Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez donned over $9 million worth of diamonds for her Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards look.
The 50-year-old actress and singer stunned on the red carpet at the annual awards ceremony on Sunday (19.01.20), in a head-turning ensemble comprised of a whopping $9 million in Harry Winston diamonds.
Jennifer’s jewels could be seen inside a cascading diamond drop necklace, as well as diamond drop earrings, a wire diamond bracelet, a secret cluster diamond bracelet, a cushion-cut diamond ring, and a lotus cluster diamond ring, which were all set in platinum.
The star’s look was focused on her accessories, and she kept the rest of her outfit fairly simple, donning a sleek black off-the-shoulder gown from designer Georges Hobeika, which featured a satin train and bow decoration.
The floor-length silhouette hid her Casadei heels, and Jennifer wore her hair pulled into an updo, with a few locks hanging down to frame her face.
Jennifer was nominated at the awards ceremony for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her role as Ramona in ‘Hustlers’ – which she also produced – but lost out on the gong, as it instead went to Laura Dern for ‘Marriage Story’.
And despite being unsuccessful, Jennifer was “so excited and so humbled” to make it onto the shortlist.
In a message on Instagram which was posted shortly after she discovered she’d been nominated, the ‘On The Floor’ singer said: “I don’t think I’ve ever been nominated for a SAG Award before. I am so excited and so humbled to be recognised by my fellow actors out there. You know, acting was my first love, along with dancing and I just, I just can’t believe all this is happening.
“To all the struggling actors out there, don’t give up. It could happen. It’s happening. Thank you so much. I feel like I already won. Thank you.”

Jennifer Aniston wears own vintage gown

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Aniston raided her own closet for her Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards dress on Sunday (19.01.20).
The ‘Morning Show’ actress walked the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium in a white form-fitting Christian Dior gown and she revealed she’d opted for one of the “oldies but goodies” she’d collected over the years, rather than relying on a stylist to find her a new outfit.
She told ‘Access Hollywood’: “This is a vintage John Galliano for Christian Dior, that is mine.
“I have a little collection of you know, the oldies but goodies.”
The 50-year-old actress – who won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series award for her work on ‘The Morning Show’ at the ceremony – accessorised her outfit with vintage jewellery from Fred Leighton, which seemingly included the same ring she wore to the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month.
A spokesperson for the jewellers told E! News: “Jennifer Aniston’s jewellery includes Edwardian diamond pendant earrings in platinum, an Art Deco pear-shaped ring, in platinum by Cartier, a 1920’s Marquise diamond ring, in platinum. All pieces are Fred Leighton.”
In her acceptance speech for her award, Jennifer had hailed working on the programme as the best therapy session she’d ever had.
She said: “I’m so grateful. First of all, Kerry Ehrin, our head writer who created so many extraordinary characters, boy did we get to dive deep into our own experiences and our own history and really breathe life into these extraordinary characters.
“Who knew emotional breakdowns felt that good? It was like seven months of therapy covered 20 years of work, so thank you for watching that.”

Lupita Nyong’o’s dazzling look

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o wore a dress embellished with 20,000 sequins and 12,000 glass beads to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday (19.01.20).
The ‘Us’ actress – who lost out on the Outstanding Performance from a Lead Actor in a Motion Picture award to ‘Judy’ star Renee Zellweger – turned heads on the red carpet at Los Angeles’ Shrine auditorium in a custom gown which was created with Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere and took over 1,400 hours to complete.
Lupita’s stylist, Micaela Erlanger, told The Hollywood Reporter: “We’ve been working on this for months, since before Thanksgiving,
“We really wanted to harness the elegance and timelessness and modernity that Lupita embodies and values.”
Lupita’s gown was accessorised with $3.5 million of Forevermark diamonds, including 32.78 carats of gems in her statement chandelier earrings, over 23 carats of diamonds in her three rings, and another 33 carats in her sparkling pair of bracelets.
Micaela said of the platinum jewelley: “The Forevermark pieces are as brilliant and luminous as she is.
“I’ve selected Forevermark many times over the years not only for the beautiful diamonds, but I also love their commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability, which is so important to me and my clients. One of her rings is worth a million dollars. Basically, the girl’s dripping in jewels!”
The 36-year-old actress’ preparation for the event began with Vanessa Sanchez McCullough creating custom nail art.
Micaela said: “We always practice ahead of time on a nail tip. Vanessa loved the idea of mimicking the organic motif of her dress in a platinum-looking foil.”
To “modernise” Lupita’s look, she wore a black “vanity case” bag and black satin, cages boots with a peep toe.
The stylist explained: “They have a number of buckles up the side, so they’re a very confident shoe that modernises the look. And the belt is cool and adds a little bite to the outfit.”

Jean Paul Gaultier is retiring

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean Paul Gaultier is retiring.
The legendary fashion designer launched his business in 1982 and introduced his first couture collection in 1997, but has now revealed that his next couture show – which is scheduled for January 22 during Paris Fashion Week – will be his last, as he’s set to retire from the industry.
Writing on Twitter alongside a video, he said: “This show celebrating 50 years of my career will also be my last. But rest assured Haute Couture will continue with a new concept.”
In the clip, Jean Paul, 67, explains that his final show will be “quite a party”, and won’t be something to “miss”.
Speaking in French, he says: “Hi! This is Jean Paul Gaultier. I invite you to celebrate my 50 years in fashion at the Théâtre du Châtelet on the 22nd of January. Coming?
“It’s going to be quite a party with many of my friends and we’re going to have fun until very very late. Now I am going to share something with you. This will be my last Haute Couture show. Be there! You can’t miss this.”
The designer went on to clarify that although he is stepping down from the fashion industry, his business will continue to thrive without him at the helm.
He added: “Stay tuned … Gautier Paris will go on, the Haute Couture continues!”
But he played coy about his future plans, teasing: “I have a new concept. I’ll tell you all about it later … all the little secrets …”
Jean Paul closed the video by blowing kisses to the camera.
He said: “To be continued. Bisous!”

Sofia Carson’s beauty obsession

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Carson discovered her love of fashion and beauty at her “mom’s vanity”.
The ‘Descendants’ star is thrilled to be announced as Revlon’s newest global brand ambassador as she opened up about how she got obsessed with beauty.
She said in a statement: “Since I can remember, one of my favourite places in the world was my mom’s vanity, where I discovered my love of fashion, beauty and the perfect red Revlon lipstick. I wore it at my very first dance recital and every recital, performance and dance competition after that. I felt invincible on stage in my red lipstick, like I could do and be anything. I’m so proud to join the other incredible Revlon ambassadors who inspire me and countless women around the world. Revlon’s Live Boldly platform speaks to the woman I was raised to be; a woman who is fearlessly herself, and who boldly fights for her dreams.”
Sofia comes from a Disney background like Selena Gomez and Zendaya and she “admires” their careers and finds it “surreal” that they came from the same place.
She said: “Just saying those names is always the most surreal thing, to be in that same sentence. Not only did I grow up loving Disney and being obsessed with Disney Channel, but to be a part of this family and a part of that legacy is such an honour. I have crossed paths with Selena and Zendaya a few times, I admire them both immensely … Zendaya and Selena have been trailblazers. They changed the perception of the Disney Star. But, most importantly they have used their platforms and voices to communicate and share important messages to their fans and beyond. I hope to do the same with my career!”

Lili Reinhart likes to experiment with make up

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Reinhart loves to “experiment” with make up.
The ‘Riverdale’ star has teamed up with CoverGirl to help launch their new Clean Fresh make up collection and she admits she and others have a “bad habit of hiding their skin” under tons of layers of make up.
She said: “I love to experiment with make up, but people are getting in a bad habit of hiding their skin under layers and layers of product … I’ve learned you don’t have to over powder your face and letting your actual pores show is actually really beautiful in photos … I’m working with CoverGirl on this campaign to promote the idea that natural skin is beautiful … The Clean Fresh collection is what I stand for and how I wear my make up on a daily basis.”
And Lili was “thrilled” to join CoverGirl.
She added to People magazine: “I think everyone in the world knows what CoverGirl is. The brand has been around for a long time but managed to maintain such a good reputation and work with such a vast array of amazing women. I was just thrilled to join that kind of team.”
Meanwhile, Lili’s co-star Madelaine Petsch recently revealed she got skincare tips from the blonde actress on the set of ‘Riverdale’.
Madelaine shared: “I definitely started to take care of my skin when I booked the show … Season one, I lived with Miss Lili Reinhart, whose Betty on the show, and I didn’t know a lot about skincare back then, or I thought I did. She would extract my blackheads for me, she taught me a lot about skincare in those moments. Very thankful to her. If I’ve learned anything from being on the show with so many amazing, strong and powerful women, we all have different skin, that honestly, do what works for you.”

Billy Porter: Fashion is an ‘expression’

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Porter sees fashion as an “expression” of who he is.
The ‘Pose’ star made waves with his iconic tuxedo dress at the 2019 Oscars and he has revealed he has “always wanted” to express himself in his clothes “differently”.
Speaking to Allure, he said: “It was always an expression for me. I always wanted to do something different. I always wanted to express myself in my clothes differently.
“And I always had great taste. And expensive taste. When I was 10, I could walk into a store for my Easter suit and scan the suits [he mimics pointing to one], and it would inevitably be the most expensive suite in the store. [My family said I have] champagne taste on a beer budget. I understood they couldn’t give me the s**t I wanted.”
And the 50-year-old actor previously confessed he knew his iconic tuxedo dress, designed by Christian Siriano, would “change” the world.
He said: “It was during fashion week. We went to Christian Siriano’s fashion show a half hour after I got the call. I remembered why I love him. He’s always been the designer that understands that everybody on the planet wears clothes, whether you’re a size 0 or a size 400. We had already been coming up against a wall with many designers because I wanted to do this gender-bending, fluid thing. We just got flat-out no’s from a lot of people. ‘We don’t think you should be wearing that.’ That kind of silencing thing that happens.”I’m older now so I knew what it looked like. I’ll do it anyway. I knew I needed to wear a ballgown and Christian is the only person who would look me in the face and say yes. He did it in nine days. It was my idea to do the top and the bottom, playing with genders. I didn’t know what the shot was going to be. I thought if it is shot from the waist up and it looks like a traditional tux, and then you pull out and see it’s a ballgown, the world will change.”

Rihanna’s mascara was a long time in the making

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has been working on her Full Frontal mascara from “the very beginning”.
Priscilla Ono, Global Makeup Artist for Fenty Beauty, has revealed that the new volume, lift and curl mascara – which was unveiled this week – has taken Rihanna a “long time” to develop and everyone is “very excited” about it.
She said: “I think this is the thing people are excited about, because I think they thought we were going to launch with it first. This is something that usually comes at the get-go. But it was something we were working on at the very beginning. And Rihanna was working on this way at the beginning. But she’s so particular that it took a long time for her to develop. She’s very much into mascaras that don’t look grey and she hates when they turn grey. So this is actually the blackest it can get, and it has a really nice shine to it, so it makes your lashes look healthy and pretty.”
And the 31-year-old singer likes “trying and inventing new things” with her make up line and would always urge people to use her products for whatever they choose rather than necessarily when they were intended for.
She added: “For her, she doesn’t use products based on what they’re used for. She doesn’t go, ‘This shadow is only for your eyes.’ No, she’ll use it as a highlighter, she’ll use it anywhere. That’s how she wants her makeup to be. She wants you to have fun and explore and be your own artist. We are always trying and inventing new things.”
And Priscilla has vowed that Fenty would only get “better and cooler”.
She told E! News: “Fenty is only gonna get better, cooler and easier for you to do your makeup. Because, for Rihanna, she just wants you to have a good time while you’re doing your makeup. It shouldn’t be complicated either, it should be fun.”

Tiffany Haddish’s simple beauty regime

OHMYGOSSIP — Tiffany Haddish’s beauty regime used to be “wash ass, wash face, moisturise”.
The ‘Girls Trip’ star has admitted looking after her appearance has become more time consuming now she’s famous because she wears make-up more often so has to work harder to keep her skin clear.
She said: “Before I was famous, my beauty regimen was: Wash your ass, wash your face, moisturise. It was simple because I didn’t wear make-up every day.
“Now I’m shooting movies and TV shows, constantly putting make-up on my face, constantly being outside.
“Oh, my gosh, I break out so bad. I’d never had acne until I started doing a lot of movies.
“You’ve got to have the right stuff to dig that makeup out of your pores. I use that Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil. After filming ‘Girls Trip’ — they put that heavy makeup on you and you’ve been sweating all day in that New Orleans weather — I was breaking out for a whole year.”
The 40-year-old star keeps her hair clean with apple cider vinegar and makes her own mask for her locks from yoghurt, coffee grounds and coconut oil so doesn’t think looking good requires a lot of money.
She told Allure magazine: “You know, I actually think I’m a scientist — I like putting stuff together, making my own concoctions.
“I remember being broke. And if one day I’m poor and I can’t afford wonderful, expensive products anymore, well, I know how to mix things together and make it work. Just because you don’t have a lot of money doesn’t mean you can’t look good.”
Growing up, Tiffany was taught that beauty came from looking “presentable”.
She said: “My grandma used to always say, ‘Any real woman knows how to make herself presentable.’
“You always keep your hair back, always keep your nails done, always be clean. You don’t have to always wear make-up, but make sure your lips and face aren’t ashy. And that’s beauty. ”

Kanye West wants to ‘break class system’ with fasion

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West thinks he can “break the class system” with his fashion designs.
The 42-year-old rapper believes “artists” can take something small and build them into something much bigger with “energy and ingenuity”.
He said: “I think we can break the class system. This sweatshirt is the blank that we used for merch. In the setting, it feels very elegant, but it’s a very simple cut design–all of the energy and ingenuity. It’s so much time that went into finding the simplest version…
“That’s what artists do; they take everything that’s happening in life and sometimes encapsulate it into an hour and a half of Eddie Murphy on stage, or Dave Chappelle, or 16 bars inside of a verse, or the cut of a sweatshirt or a boot.”
The ‘Famous’ hitmaker always wanted his clothes to be more than just “merch” and was frustrated when he was advised to start with T-shirts and work his way from there but quickly came to realise that was the right approach.
Speaking to Lala magazine in an extract obtained by Complex, he said: “When I wanted to get into fashion, everyone would bring up The Row and how they started with t-shirts. I didn’t want to start with a T-shirt.
“I love merch, but we did merch as a punk answer to us being told we can’t work at Louis Vuitton, Versace, Nike. Merch started as one of the only things we could control.
“When we did our first fashion show, in crocodile and all these exotic fabrics, there was just a block, like, ‘No, you can’t get in. No, you can’t be involved with this.’ Somehow, I actually had to go back and start with a T-shirt.”

Caitlyn Jenner relies on famous family for fashion tips

OHMYGOSSIP — Caitlyn Jenner relies on her famous family for fashion tips.
The ‘I Am Cait’ star credits her stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West and her daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner for helping her with fashion and encourage a “simple” look.
She said: “I remember talking to Kim [Kardashian, the daughter of her ex-wife Kris Kardashian] once about fashion and she looked at me and said, ‘Well, I am fashion.’ She is totally right! She has been good for tips, and [Jenner’s daughters] Kendall and Kylie watch me closely, too, because I’m their dad. When I’m with them, I try to do things that are not too flashy.
“My life today is so simple – I just get up in the morning and be myself all day. There is no more going to places with two sets of luggage.”
And the 70-year-old sports star and television personality admits one of her “toughest” fashion choices was the bustier she wore on her Vanity Fair cover when she announced she had transitioned, after previously being known as Bruce Jenner.
Speaking about the daring outfit she wore on the cover, she added to The Guardian newspaper: “The one fashion thing that was tough was when I wore a bustier for the Vanity Fair cover shoot [when she revealed her identity as a trans woman]. Some of the family members, especially the guys, were like: why did you have to do that?
“There were other, more conservative, pictures that ran inside, but I had been sneaking around, hassled by paparazzi for years and years. When that cover came out, it was like, ‘All right, all you people who have been criticising me, there you go. Take that.'”
