Kendall Jenner launching cosmetics range with Kylie Jenner

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner is launching a make up line with her sister Kylie Jenner.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star has confirming she is working alongside her sibling’s brand Kylie Cosmetics and promises it will be “really big”.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: “We haven’t done one yet. I am the last sister, or the last family member, I think. I had a contract before with another make-up company. So now I am able to do it. We’re really going big because I’m her full blood.”
Meanwhile, Kendall previously opened up about her skincare routine, revealing she thinks she has the best skincare routine of all her sisters – but insists half-siblings Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian and sister Kylie Jenner all have “beautiful skin”.
She said: “I honestly might need to take credit for this one, only because they haven’t really struggled with breakouts. Khloe did a little bit when she was really young, and then Rob [Kardashian] a bit when he was really young but he’s not my sister. They all have beautiful skin. So I will talk myself up and say that I might be the [skin-care] master in the family.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star’s current glowing complexion, the beauty began suffering with acne when she started high school and she’s admitted she was so convinced fellow students were always staring at her face, she’d go home devastated.
She shared a bare-faced photo on Instagram and in a lengthy post wrote: “While there are much bigger problems happening in the world, suffering from acne for me was debilitating. It’s something that I’ve dealt with since I was a young teen and has caused me to feel anxious, helpless and insecure. As humans, I don’t think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time where being ‘perfect’ is the standard … I’d like to show a younger generation that not everything is perfect. Being insecure about my acne gave me thick skin.”

Doutzen Kroes has acupuncture

OHMYGOSSIP — Doutzen Kroes uses acupuncture to slow down the ageing process.
The supermodel feels she is under more scrutiny because she is in the fashion industry and whilst she insists there is nothing bad about getting older, she admits she has “insecurities”.
She said: “Because I’m working in the fashion industry people look at me more up close and are maybe looking at ageing a different way. I feel like I’m dealing with insecurities as well when I come to set, and I haven’t seen someone for 10 years and, obviously, I look different now than I did 10 years ago. I like to think that I don’t care about it, but I do. I do care, and I do everything I can to slow down the ageing process. I do facials, I choose very carefully what I put into my body, I have a very active lifestyle, and recently, I discovered acupuncture.”
And the 35-year-old model notices how her face has a little bit of a “life” after she has seen acupuncturist Cas Rooseboom.
Speaking in a video posted to her official YouTube account as part of her Doutzen Diaries series, she added: “My face will have a little bit of a lift. Like, how I would like to be my face is just a little bit more lifted. It’s not a big difference, but I just feel like my face since a few years has … I don’t know how to explain it … It’s just falling apart.”

Alexa Chung people should ditch fast fashion for vintage

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexa Chung thinks people should ditch fast fashion and instead stock up on vintage clothing.
The 36-year-old model and television presenter can see lots of trends are “regurgitated from the past” and so has urged people to instead look towards vintage fashion, which is “readily available, easy and cheap”.
She said: “Loads of fashion ideas or trends are regurgitated from the past so you could just buy vintage things. They’re readily available, easy and cheap – about three things I’m wearing now are vintage.”
And Alexa has tried to combat fast fashion with her own clothing range, allowing people to rent the clothes.
She added to BBC Newsbeat: “It’s something celebrities have the luxury of doing because they borrow from a fashion house and then they send it back and they’re just wearing it for one event. Sharing clothes is such a brilliant idea because it’s true that you might want something special for one occasion but you don’t want to keep it in your wardrobe.”
Meanwhile, Alexa previously revealed she has used fashion to shape how she’s perceived.
She shared: “I know now that I’m driven by a desire to communicate and to have an emotional connection with other people. Now more than ever there’s a growing space for people to tell their own stories and a need for them to do so. I have always dressed to express myself or to alter how other people may have chosen to perceive me.
“It’s about doing things with conviction and not being afraid to give negative feedback. I’ve always been in industries where you have to be incredibly likeable to do the job because being charming is part of the job description if you’re presenting TV or interviewing people. Whereas, with this, there are moments where you have to be the least liked person in the room in order to make clothes that are the most liked item on the rail.”

The pop star explained: “I take self-love very seriously. And I take it seriously because when I was younger, I wanted to change everything about myself.
“I didn’t love who I was. And the reason I didn’t love who I was is because I was told I wasn’t lovable by the media, by [people at] school, by not seeing myself in beauty ads, by not seeing myself in television … by lack of representation.
“My self-hatred got so bad that I was fantasising about being other people. But you can’t live your life trying to be somebody else. What’s the point?”

Elle Macpherson hits back at troll over cosmetic surgery claims

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Macpherson denies having cosmetic surgery after a troll said she’s ruining her face.
The 55-year-old supermodel insisted she’s “ageing gracefully without interference” as she dismissed the suggestion she’s had any work done, and she literally shrugged off the criticism.
Responding on Instagram with a shrug emoji, she wrote: “The only thing I’m doing is ageing gracefully without interference.
“Sorry if it doesn’t work for your vision of what you think I should look like. I’m me. Healthy happy and nearly 60. Go figure.”
The cruel online troll had told Elle she didn’t look like herself “anymore” in the bizarre rant.
The user initially commented: “Whatever your doing to your face STOP IT! You don’t look like yourself anymore!
“Please stop you were beautiful now not so much. smfh(sic)”
Elle has repeatedly denied going under the knife, and although she has admitted to trying Botox and collagen injections in the past, she insisted they “don’t work” for her.
She previously said: “Yeah, I’ve tried things, but most of the time they don’t work for me.
“It doesn’t work for my face – some people get things done and they look worse.
“I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat and I don’t want to mess with what there is. At this point, I think it’s best to leave what I have alone.
“Having said that, I do vitamin injections, infusions and I work on my nutrition… I’ve learned that a good smile, good teeth, good hair, good skin, a good mood are worth a thousand injectables and Botox and facials and masks.”

Gal Gadot swears by ‘super simple’ Mediterranean diet to stay in shape

OHMYGOSSIP — Gal Gadot swears by a “super simple” Mediterranean diet to stay on track with her intense training.
The 34-year-old actress will reprise her role in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ when the comic book sequel hits the big screen this summer, and to prepare for the movie she undertook an intense training regime which saw her endure sweaty strengthening work in the gym.
However, to make sure other areas of her life were kept simple, she relied on her Israeli roots to ensure her diet maintained her enviable figure.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, she explained: “I think we tend to make everything much more challenging and difficult than what it should be.
“But for me it’s easy, I’m from Israel so I follow a Mediterranean diet – it’s super simple for anyone to do.”
A Mediterranean diet has shown it may reduce the risk of developing conditions such as high blood pressure and heart disease by sticking to a healthy balance of vegetables, fruits, olive oil, beans, whole grains, and moderate amounts of fish, white meat and dairy products.
Gal added: “I try to make a huge per cent of the plate veggies, then lean protein, and then a small amount of quality, good carbs. I eat a lot of fish and huge salads with olive oil and lemon.”
However, her exotic diet is not the only thing the wonder woman relies on as she insists on giving her body time to recovery after her sweat-inducing workouts.
She said: “The recovery piece is very important. I see a lot of physiotherapists — of course, we foam roll — but I need someone to go in and dig deep into the muscles.
“I also use a Theragun after working out, and drink a lot of water to release all the toxins — I find that super important. And, of course, sleep.”

Jameela Jamil doesn’t care about ‘feeling beautiful’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil has no interest in “feeling beautiful”.
The ‘Good Place’ actress insisted societal expectations of physical beauty don’t concern her, as she opened up about her idea of body positivity.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight’s Unfiltered series, she said: “I don’t ever really feel beautiful. Also, I’m not interested in feeling beautiful.
“I just like feeling like myself, which is normally when I’m lying in my boyfriend [James Blake’s] arms. I’m not interested in beauty terribly.
“I like fashion and make-up and I like playing with colours and I used to paint and so I think I find that quite fun, but yeah, I never really feel beautiful. I prefer to feel funny or smart or happy.”
The 33-year-old star – who founded the ‘I WEIGH’ movement on social media, which encourages women to discuss the parts of life they struggle with – explained she wants to break down boundaries to prove she’s “capable of [living] outside of a man’s dictation of my value”.
She added: “As women we’re always told what we’re capable of, which is not much, and that’s why we’re told we have to be so beautiful ’cause we have no other value.”
Earlier this month, Jameela once again hit out at Khloe Kardashian for promoting weight loss shakes, having previously criticised the reality TV star for pushing products on social media that claim to help shed weight.
Khloe posted a picture of herself on Twitter, writing: “#ad Ok… I’ve posted with @flattummyco’s Shakes in the past and YES, I also use a personal trainer and nutritionist, but THESE SHAKES WORK to help your tummy get back to flat. Trust me guys… Go get 25% off the same Shakes I drink (sic)”
Jameela quoted Khloe’s tweet and added: “Blah blah blah eating disorder culture blah blah. (sic)”
Meanwhile, the presenter and activist – who has also shamed Amber Rose, Cardi B, and Iggy Azalea – previously said she has a “moral responsibility” to call out celebrities for their promotional posts, has no qualms about publicly slamming those who champion the weight loss products.

Greta Gerwig’s fashion power

OHMYGOSSIP — Greta Gerwig “communicates” her “power” with her outfit choices.
The ‘Little Women’ filmmaker has revealed why she sticks so strongly to her fashion style now she is a director.
Asked why maintaining her fashion style is so important now she’s a director, she said: “To communicate all of my power.”
Greta has a vintage pair of Converse which she has kept since she was a young girl.
Sharing her favourite piece of vintage clothing in her wardrobe, she said: “I have a pair of Converse sneakers that are Converse before it was bought by Nike, and they’re the Jack Purcells, and they changed the way they looked. They tried to lie to me and say that they didn’t change them, but they did.”
The 36-year-old actress and director credits her friend Sarah’s sister, Leah, as her “fashion icon” whilst she admits she prefers a jumpsuit over a pantsuit and plaid over floral for a pattern.
And ask what’s the first thing she notices about someone’s outfit, she told Vogue for their 73 questions feature: “Like mine. The shoes.”
Meanwhile, Greta’s stylist Cristina Ehrlich thinks her client has a “supermodel body”.
She explained: “Greta has a supermodel body, she’s a 1990s Cindy Crawford type. She’s statuesque, and she really knows how to pull her shoulders back. When a client looks and feels strong, it dictates a different sort of journey for me.
“We’ve really had to use the time we had together. My team and I have been playing the game: ‘can we nail the dress in the first 10 options?’, but it has been fun. She’s the perfect example of a woman who is intrigued and loves to play with fashion, so she comes in and says, ‘make me look beautiful’, and we do just that. There’s a level of trust, because Greta only works with a team that allows her to do her job the best that she can.”

Prue Leith’s fashion rules

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith says the most important thing with fashion is to “please yourself”.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ star feels it is crucial that you like your own outfits, rather than dress a certain way to impress others.
Speaking about her fashion rules, she said: “There are no rules except to please yourself. The best advice I’ve ever received was from my mama who said you should take trouble to look good when getting dressed, then totally forget about it. Don’t be always fiddling with your hair or make-up or looking in mirrors!”
Prue has “lots” of fashions regrets – but doesn’t really consider them to be under this umbrella as she did like them at the time.
Asked if she has any fashion regrets, she added: “Lots of them, but at the time it was what I liked, miniskirts or flares or hippy sequinned jackets, so no regrets.”
The 79-year-old restaurateur and television presenter likes a bit of “colour, comfort and drama” in her personal style and has shared some of her favourite brands.
Describing her personal style, she told the Belfast Telegraph newspaper: “Bold for an oldie! I do like colour, comfort and a bit of drama … On the posh side I love Issey Miyake, especially the cheaper range, Pleats Please, which are simple comfy shapes, and also the painter-designer Carole Waller whose fabrics are amazing. On the affordable end I like COS, Joules, Seasalt, Boden and Lola Rose, of course!”

Offset wants to launch a women’s fashion collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Offset is planning to launch a women’s fashion collection.
The 28-year-old rapper – who wed Cardi B in 2017 – unveiled his menswear label at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, and after the success of his first show, he is already planning to debut a women’s line for the Spring/Summer Show.
Speaking to GQ after the debut, Offset suggested: “I think we should do something with women. It’ll kill, it’ll surprise, f**k ’em up. It’ll mess up the world. I think they’d be like, ‘What, that quick?’
“A lot of people was asking my wife, ‘They going to do women pieces? Is it unisex?’ Basically, it is, though. We’re on our way with it. We’re not going to stop. Hell no! It was too much of a cultural big scene.”
The Migos star’s initial show wowed a star-studded audience – including his wife and band mates Quavo and Kickoff, as well as Trinidad James, Kailand Morris, DJ Mustard, and French soccer player Paul Pogba – as they showed up to support their pal.
He teamed up with co-designer Chaz A. Jordan to create his first clothing line, Laundered Works Corp, that they plan to sell exclusively through their website after spotting a trend in Japan.
Explaining his taste in fashion brands, Offset said: “I like Japanese brands now. I changed my whole thing: I like it to fit slim. Their clothes fit a different way: they’ll go slim on the legs, and then they’ll bulk right up [gestures to his knees] and stack down there.
“I just feel like Japan got the way. And then I like the fact that in Japan, they got their own brands that they won’t send to America. That’s fire to me.”
He continued: “You can’t buy certain brands online and have it shipped to America – no. Certain things that I got, I had to hit up artists like, “Are you in Japan? I’m going to send you a couple thousand dollars.”

Jonas Brothers stylist adds their individual style to each look

OHMYGOSSIP — The Jonas Brothers’ stylist always makes sure to follow each member’s “individual style” when dressing the group.
Avo Yermagyan is in charge of getting the group – comprising of brothers Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas – red carpet ready, and has said that whilst he likes to have the trio looking like a cohesive unit, he also allows for a flare of individuality from each member.
He said: “I approach styling them as a group by having some sort of thread, usually a colour story, to tie them all together while still keeping each of their looks true to their personal style.”
The ‘Sucker’ hitmakers recently graced the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, where they all incorporated gold into their looks, and Avo says the colour choice represented the “golden year” the band had in 2019.
He explained: “It’s been a golden year for the guys, and the Grammys felt like the perfect moment to celebrate.”
Nick donned a head-to-toe gold tuxedo while Joe and Kevin’s printed ensembles had more subtle accents.
The theme carried through to the separate outfits they wore to perform at the star-studded bash too, with Nick wearing a gold foiled Celine jacket, Kevin a Lords and Fools brocade suit, and Joe a Chanel womenswear look.
Avo said: “Keeping with the golden theme for the night, but amping it up for the stage with brighter golden hues, more intricate fabrications, and theatrical silhouettes.”
The stylist has been dressing the Jonas Brothers as a group and individually for many years, and said he plans to continue “evolving” their style.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, he said: “The guys have had a major style evolution over the years. Fashion is change, and the key to my eight years with them is that we are continually evolving together and pushing each other out of our comfort zones stylistically.”

Irina Shayk uses gold face masks to beat dry skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk uses gold-infused face masks to rehydrate her skin after flying.
The 34-year-old Russian model has to regularly fly for her catwalk shows and campaigns but long haul plane travel leaves her with very dry skin on her face.
Irina – who has starred in campaigns for brands such as Versace, Intimissimi lingerie and Burberry – relies on luxury skincare products such as Mimi Luzon 24K Pure Gold Dust.
In an interview with the new issue of British Vogue magazine, she said: “I always make sure I moisturise my skin a lot when I travel, as the air on a plane is really dry. To revive my skin after long-distance flights, I use special masks, like Mimi Luzon’s Sparkling Champagne Mask – it moisturises and refreshes the skin and gives it a healthy glow. When I travel for work, I always see my beauty queen, Mimi Luzon, and do 24-carat gold mask treatments for extra glow.”
The Mimi Luzon Sparkling Champagne Mask costs $279 and has been created to infuse the user’s skin with oxygen and a high concentration of antioxidant botanicals, whilst the Mimi Luzon 24K Pure Gold Dust product retails at $149 and contains specially formulated powdered cosmetic grade gold leaf that, when added to moisturiser, claims to “improve the skin’s appearance by tightening and smoothing wrinkles, improving localised blood circulation and metabolism and giving the skin a natural glow”.
Although she uses luxury skincare products to combat the effects of flying, Irina insists her day-to-day skincare routine is fairly minimal and she avoids wearing make-up when she’s not working.
Irina – who has two-year-old daughter Lea with former partner Bradley Cooper – said: “Usually I don’t wear make-up during the day, or if I do, (I) use a tiny bit of concealer for the under-eye area.”
