Liam Gallagher’s former label Pretty Green in £17.5 million debt

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher’s former fashion label Pretty Green owes £17.5 million in debt.
The former Oasis rocker launched the brand in 2009, but after it went bust last year, the company was bought by JD Sports, who are now responsible for paying back the money owed to creditors.
According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Pretty Green has now been given a 12-month extension to pay back its £17.5 million in debts to a total of 326 creditors, who are now demanding their money back.
However, liquidators say they may not get what they are owed.
They warned: “Based on current information, the administrators do not anticipate there being sufficient funds to enable a dividend to be paid”.
Pretty Green also owes a number of former employees outstanding wages and holiday pay, and investors – including Prodigy rocker Liam Howlett and former Chelsea and England midfielder Joe Cole – could also be set to lose money from their investments.
The label was founded by Liam over a decade ago and is synonymous with his own fashion sense, including his wardrobe staple, parka coats.
And last year, Liam even considered moving house to a property with more storage space, as he was running out of room for his vast collection of jackets, which have become his signature look.
He said: “I’ve hundreds of the f***ers. I’ve got so many parkas I can’t hang them all up and I’d rather throw the house than the parkas.”
The ‘Shockwave’ hitmaker has always been confident in his fashion choices but he does regret his sartorial choice of wearing a t-shirt with cut-off sleeves in the early 2000s because he thinks it made him look like fellow rocker Jon Bon Jovi.
Asked his worst fashion mistake, he said: “The cut-off sleeves. It wasn’t a stage! Just the once and I wouldn’t normally comment on it, but that’s the one. The cut-off sleeves and the scarf.
“I don’t know what I was going for, but it looked a bit Bon Jovi and that wasn’t it. I’d probably lifted one weight and thought, ‘Yeah, you look cool.’ ”

Zoe Kravitz slams rumours she lightens her skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz has slammed rumours she lightens her skin.
The ‘Big Little Lies’ actress has hit out at critics on Instagram who accused her of using products to lighten her skin, insisting that her lighter complexion is merely a result of having to stay indoors during the coronavirus outbreak, meaning she isn’t seeing as much sun as usual.
When one commenter on Instagram wrote: “Am I wrong or she is looking so white in this picture, please don’t tell me you are getting ready of your melanin, you are so beautiful with your natural color (sic)”
Zoe responded: “jesus. no girl. this is what happens to some of us mixed us mixed kids when we can’t go outside lol. (sic)”
And other fans have already praised the 31-year-old actress for boldly speaking her mind and defending herself.
One wrote: “ahahaha the struggle is so real for us mixed kids (sic)”
Whilst another added: “that’s a fact. I start looking like a vampire after a couple days without sun. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Zoe previously spoke about her simple look, saying she would much rather embrace her natural hair after experimenting with a number of different styles over the years.
She said: “The struggle’s always been real for me and my hair. The options can seem limited when you have a kinkier texture. I really prefer my hair being natural.”
Zoe also revealed she tries to adopt the natural approach when it comes to make-up too.
The YSL Beauty brand ambassador said: “It shouldn’t be something you use to cover up. And I feel like YSL Beauty isn’t asking me to cover myself up or be something I’m not. Make-up should highlight your individuality.
“Their foundations are great, Touche Éclat is like 24 hours of sleep in a pen that you can put in your pocket. You just have to learn what works for you, and learn what doesn’t.”

Celine Dion’s fashion style is a ‘constant adventure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Celine Dion’s stylists say dressing the star is a “constant adventure”.
The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ hitmaker frequently works with stylists Sydney Lopez and Pepe Munoz to create her looks, and they have both gushed over their experience working with the musical icon, whom they praised as “fearless and fun”.
Pepe said: “Celine is absolutely fearless. She is not just wearing the clothes, she is performing the clothes, and I think that is priceless.”
And Sydney added: “Owning everything she does and not giving into the opinions – I think people are drawn to that more than they realise and it’s inspiring. I just hope more people feel that way and we can promote that fearlessness and fun!”
The pair say there’s “never a dull moment” when working with Celine, who is “unbelievably” fun to collaborate with.
Pepe explained: “I wish people could see what goes on in that room moments before she makes such a powerful exit! There is never a dull moment working here. It’s a constant adventure.”
Whilst Sydney said: “When she sees what we see and it all clicks, it’s the best feeling. That and seeing her walk around in it and create her character for the day.”
And the stylists are already thinking about what looks they can put the 51-year-old singer in next, as they want to try out some sequinned designs from Bottega Veneta, as well as exploring some more latex options.
In a joint interview with Grazia magazine, Sydney said: “I would really like to see her in Bottega Veneta soon. I loved the fringe and sequins from the A/W 20 show. The Saint Laurent show was unbelievable and if you’ve seen our 2019 looks with Celine, you’ll know we were really into latex.”

The luxury brand and the sportswear label had originally planned to launch their much-anticipated Air Jordan 1 collaboration via an international drawing next week, but they have now decided to shelve those plans due to the ongoing spread of coronavirus.
In a post on Nike’s official news blog, they wrote: “To ensure the safety of all, in accordance with recommendations by public authorities, and in order to reinforce the coordination of international measures, Dior has decided to postpone its international draw for the launch of the Air Dior capsule collection realised in collaboration with Jordan Brand.”
The sportswear company went on to add that the Air Dior drawing included the chance to gain access to exclusive Dior pop-up and pop-in locations, which have since been postponed to protect both customers and collaborators.
They added: “This draw includes a chance to win entry to a global network of exclusive Dior pop-up and pop-in locations, whose openings have also been postponed in the context of current guidelines, to protect our customers and collaborators.

Gisele Bundchen: I’m optimistic about sustainable fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen is “optimistic” about the future of sustainable fashion.
The 39-year-old supermodel is confident the fashion industry will make a hugely positive impact on the planet in the future, but she knows there is still a lot of work to be done before designers can incorporate a change in their clothes.
Speaking in the April issue of Marie Claire magazine, Gisele explained: “I am optimistic about the fashion industry becoming more sustainable. Some fashion brands are shifting to use sustainable fabrics and being thoughtful in their approach to production, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
“The fashion industry has the power to be a leader on a global scale and allocate resources toward the use of natural ingredients, sustainable materials, naturals dyes, and much more. Some fashion houses have started to incorporate real change. It’s my hope that more designers and brands will follow.”
Similarly, the environmental activist believes in a “less is more” approach with her beauty regime after admiring her mother’s natural beauty.
She said: “My beauty philosophy has always been ‘less is more,’ which is something I learned from my mother early on. When I was growing up, she didn’t wear much makeup, and I feel I got that trait from her.”
Although, it hasn’t stopped Giselle from experimenting with different make-up looks and thinks of the process as a form of self-care.
She added: “Of course, I love wearing makeup from time to time, and the ritual of applying beauty products is a way of caring for yourself.”
To keep her regime sustainable, Gisele only works with beauty brands who create natural products to improve their carbon footprint.
She said: “I like natural products and try to align with beauty brands that are making a conscious effort to recognise the impact they have on our environment and look for ways to improve.
“I’ve recently worked with Dior on its Capture Totale line, and I am so happy about the company’s efforts to incorporate natural ingredients. I always have more to learn, but I am inspired by brands working to further the important message of sustainability. It is a step in the right direction.”

Jessica Alba: Mothers need a dedicated skincare routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba believes it’s important for mothers to have a dedicated skincare routine.
The 38-year-old actress has daughters Honor, 11, and Haven, eight, and two-year-old son Hayes with her husband Cash Warren and once the kids have gone to bed Jessica enjoys taking some time out at the end of her day to have a little “me time” to remind herself to look out for her body as well as taking care of her three children.
She told InStyle magazine: “A skincare routine can sometimes be the only ‘me’ time that people have in their days. When you are doing something just for yourself, it’s a nice reminder that you matter, and that taking time to take care of yourself is important.”
As for her own bedtime routine, Jessica likes to “reset her mind” whilst putting her kids to bed, and then soaks in a hot bath with a glass of wine.
She explained: “First and foremost, I get into cosy loungewear and throw my hair into a messy bun. Then I recap the day with the kiddos over dinner, followed by giving the baby a bath and a good cuddle – this fills my soul and helps reset my mind and spirit. I also enjoy a bath with a glass of wine and a good book. I often add a face mask and a hair mask as part of my weekly wind-down routine.”
In the mornings, the ‘Sin City’ actress loves to give her kids a big hug to start her day off right.
Before they all wake up, Jessica likes to squeeze in a 45-minute cardio session to help her feel productive.
She added: “One of my favourite things to do in the morning is to get a cuddle from my kids. I give them all big morning hugs and a smooch. The time crunch of getting the kids up and ready for school or getting to work usually gets my adrenaline going to start the day.
“Some of my favourite days are when I have time to crush a 45-minute hard cardio workout before the kids wake up. I’ll usually take a Spin class which will get me home around 7am, which is normally when the kids wake up. Those are the days I feel most productive.”

Trinny Woodall: Me and Susannah were fair on What Not To Wear

OHMYGOSSIP — Trinny Woodall has scoffed at suggestions she and Susannah Constantine were “ruthless” on ‘What Not To Wear’.
The 56-year-old fashion expert and her co-star Susannah, 57, fronted the makeover reality TV show from 2001 until 2005 and Trinny has been surprised to read retrospective criticisms of the programme which suggesting that the pair were too harsh on the women who came to them for style assistance.
However, Trinny will accept that she was more “straightforward” with her advice than her “cosy and cuddly” friend.
She explained: “We knew we wanted to talk about real women’s bodies, what we liked, what we loved, and what we didn’t like – and we had quite strong views. But what’s interesting is historically how ‘What Not To Wear’ is perceived now. I read an article recently that said we were ‘ruthless’ with our advice. I never in one single show felt we were ruthless.
“When you’re in a partnership with somebody you sort of, unintentionally, suppress half of your personality. With Susanna and I, she was cosy and cuddly and, I was sort of more straightforward, the ‘let me give you information’ type.”
After wrapping their last appearances on the show, the pair went on to film ‘Trinny & Susannah Undress…’ for ITV until 2007, and now Trinny features on ‘This Morning’ as their fashion style expert.
However, she has found a new audience on social media after posting videos of her searching through the clothing rails at high street stores for the latest trends.
She said: “I think social media is the most exciting thing. I’ve never done photographs on social, it’s always been about having an immediate connection with video, and that’s the joy of social compared to, say, a TV show. Nobody is telling me what to do or editing me, so I feel like I can really blossom as myself.
“Online, we can make our own TV. We don’t have to have somebody else ‘cut’ us. I recently did a Facebook Live video and there were people commenting from 32 countries in 80 different locations around the world. How unbelievable and fantastic is that? It makes me incredibly happy that I can engage them on my channels. It’s been incredibly freeing.”

Emily Ratajkowski is writing a book of essays

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski is writing a book of essays.
The 28-year-old model has signed a book deal and is currently writing a book of essays on her perspective of feminism after protesting at several rallies for women’s rights.
Revealing her inspiration, Emily said: “I’ve had a weird experience, obviously, so grateful for my career and my life, but I have a particular perspective that I’d like to share with the world on feminism, on what my experience has been like, and hopefully people will be interested to read them.”
So far, Emily – who is married to producer Sebastian Bear-McClard – has found the process of writing a book “very hard” but is proud of already writing 150 pages with the support of her husband.
She explained: “Right now, at this moment, [it’s] very hard, I had a bad day. Every day is different, but I’ve written 150 pages already. Sometimes when I come home and I’m like, ‘I didn’t get anything done today’ or whatever, my husband’s like, ‘I mean, you wrote 150 pages.’ By the way, I wrote a lot of it on my cellphone, on my iPhone. I’m a little weirdo, like, in bed.”
The book deal comes after the ‘Gone Girl’ star and pal Amy Schumer were arrested in 2018 following protests over the possible appointment of Brett Kavanaugh – who has been accused of sexual assault – to the Supreme Court when they were picked up by police and taken into custody.

Davina – who is now dating hairdresser Michael Douglas – explained how her own moods have always been echoed by her choice of underwear.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Throughout my life I’ve been able to tell lots about my mood from my underwear. If I was down, I would wear underwear that just wasn’t worthy of me.”

She said: “Fifties are the new thirties! When I was a kid, women in their fifties looked like they were in their 70s. It was like, ‘I’ve shut up shop’.
“It could not be further from the truth now. I’m really proud of being 52.
“I feel I’m quite good fun still, and I look good for a bird my age. So I owe it to anybody under 40 to live my best life and to show them it’s all going to be OK.”

They said in a statement: “Through this initiative, LVMH intends to help address the risk of a lack of product in France and enable a greater number of people to continue to take the right action to protect themselves from the spread of the virus.

A spokesperson for the city’s hospital system said they haven’t yet run out of hand gel but admitted supplies are “strained”, and confirmed other companies have also offered to donate supplies.
Many pharmacies across France have limited hand gel purchases to one small bottle per person.

Rita Ora’s style inspiration

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora takes style inspiration from her friends.
The 29-year-old singer and actress – who is the face of European shoe retailer Deichmann’s Spring/Summer 2020 campaign – revealed she often turns to her famous pals for fashion advice.
She said: “It comes from my friends, I’ve got some really stylish friends. [But] I like to rely on my taste, I feel like I’ve got good taste. I really follow my gut.”
Meanwhile, Rita previously revealed she is happy to take fashion risks and never wants to be afraid to try new things.
She explained: “I would like to have no boundaries. I would like to feel like I can wear anything and everything. My history in style has been really sporadic so far.
“It was always like [people said], ‘Oh, I didn’t expect her to wear that’. I don’t ever want to stop trying out new things!”
And Rita believes being stylish is all about attitude.
The star said: “My style inspiration always comes from attitude, from rock stars and movie stars. As long as that attitude is there, never let the clothes wear you.
“I’ve always believed that you have so many incredible, beautiful people in the world that have that doubt like, ‘Oh I can’t pull that off’, ‘There’s no way in hell I can wear that’ – you just don’t know unless you try. I think it’s all about attitude. That’s how I look at it really.”
The actress has also insisted that women “naturally use sex appeal” and said she loves showing off her sexuality with her fashion choices.
Rita said: “What I look for when I make style choices really comes down to who I want to be that day. I think that as a woman we naturally use sex appeal and I feel like that just comes out of our pores whether we see it or not. We are just that kind of creature.
“I really rely on that, I really rely on being a woman. I make the most of my choices, and even of showing my sexuality because I find it so empowering.
“I look at it like beauty and art. I envy the girls that can go out and not wear any make-up and feel comfortable and sexy. For me I like making a dramatic impact, so I like to put on make-up and to decide on how I want to feel that day.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Elba loves Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty mascara.
The 30-year-old model – who tied the knot with actor and DJ Idris Elba last year – revealed she is a huge fan of Rihanna’s make-up brand and is obsessed with her mascara.
She told Elle UK: “Fenty! Who doesn’t love this brand? The new mascara is phenom. I do have lash extensions but I like to put a bit on top – I know they say you shouldn’t but a little mascara never hurt anyone.”
Sabrina also revealed she uses Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Darker Skin Tones Hyaluronic Serum every day after she washes her face.
She said: “I love starting with this serum. When I break out I tend to get dark spots for a long time so I make sure to use this after every face wash.”
And Sabrina is a huge fan of Surratt’s Inner Light Baton in Mousseux.

Along with make-up, Sabrina is also passionate about oral hygiene and shared her go-to toothbrush with fans.
Speaking about FOREO’s, ISSA 2 Sensitive Electric Sonic Toothbrush Set, she explained: “I love these FOREO toothbrushes – they look super cute. The other great thing is when you charge them they last for like six months or something.”

Elle Fanning loves silk pillowcases

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Fanning thinks “everyone needs” a silk pillowcase.
The 21-year-old actress insists the soft bedding is vital because it is so gentle on her hair and skin.
Asked her number one beauty secret, she said: “I swear by silk pillowcases. They’re great for my hair and skin.
“I think everyone needs one.
“Plus I sleep with conditioner in my hair once a week. It’s not comfortable but I do it for the health of my hair, which is so blonde and prone to breakage.”
The ‘Maleficent’ star admitted people don’t always realise she has a “natural curl” to her hair and when she isn’t working, she rarely does anything to style her locks.
She told Britain’s Glamour magazine: “A lot of people don’t realise as it’s usually poker straight, but my hair has a natural curl.
“I don’t wash it every day and, unless I’m going to an event, I just leave it in its natural state.
“If it’s a really bad hair day, I’ll whip it up into a messy bun – but that’s my go-to, off-duty look.”
Elle – who has been a face of Miu Miu since 2014 – previously admitted she loves working with the brand because of its “quirky edge” as she has always celebrated being “different”, regardless of what other people thought of her choices.
She said recently: “I remember growing up, I would experiment with my fashion and at school I would be made fun of for it a little bit, just for being different and I still am that girl.
“Miu Miu is defiantly off beat and it is quirky in being feminine, but with an edge. She balances all the opposites at one time. [Miuccia Prada] knows what girls want and what women want. Her shapes are just so amazing and quite actually boyish in the way that she cuts pieces like coats … but then they’ll have something like a little chick on them.
“She keeps the fun. Mrs. Prada doesn’t take herself too seriously which is very important in art. Miu Miu is just the all-round perfect brand. I could wear all of it.”

Jennifer Lopez loves sneakers

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez is a “born sneakerhead”.
The ‘Hustlers’ star made sure her new footwear collection with DSW included plenty of casual shoes because they were always her favourites in her younger days and she still wears them “a lot”.
She said: “I was a tomboy growing up. And even when I was a dancer in my late teens and early 20s, it was all about Doc Martens, Timberlands, and combat boots.
“And I’m from the Bronx, so I’m kind of a born sneakerhead–where I come from, your sneakers say a lot about you. It’s a big deal, what kind you’re wearing, how you style them.
“So sneakers are a big part of the new line. Believe it or not, I do wear them a lot.”
However, that doesn’t mean the sneakers she’s designed will be flat as the singer-and-actress – who is 5’5″ tall – will “always” boost her height when she can.
She added to Elle.com: “My [DSW] sneakers have quite a lift in them, actually.
“You know the sneakers with the really sick bottoms, like Balenciaga? That’s the kind I like. I mean, I’ll always take an extra half an inch if I can get it. Absolutely.”
The 50-year-old singer-and-actress – who has 12-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony and is engaged to Alex Rodriguez – remembered dancing in heels for the first time when she was at her junior prom aged 16 and how “grown up” she felt.
She said: “Back then, you dyed your heels to match your dress. You got these satiny shoes and you sent them out to get dyed so they’d be the same colour as your gown, and that was so grown up.
“That was the way to do it when you were from the Bronx and going to prom back then, and I was like, ‘I am not taking these off, they’re amazing.’
“So I made it through the whole dance with my heels on, but in the limo afterwards, I think I took them off. You’re with your girls, and you make your date hold them.”

Jessica Alba scares son with skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba “terrifies” her son with her beauty regime.
The ‘Sin City’ actress – who has Honor, 11, Haven, eight, and Hayes, two, with husband Cash Warren – starts her day with a shea butter and anitoxidant mask to hydrate her skin and can often be found with it covering her face over breakfast.
She admitted: “I usually terrify my two year old.”
After removing the mask with warm water, Jessica then puts on moisturiser and uses a vibrating quartz massager to get it into her skin.
She told Vogue.com: “It basically just gets the blood flowing.”
The 38-year-old star typically opts for fragrance-free products so they don’t irritate her skin.
She said: “I’ve had such reactive skin literally since I was born.
“I just really seek out products that are, for the most part, fragrance-free.”
When it comes to her make-up, Jessica loves a brown shimmery smoky eye but admitted she used to be “intimidated” by the idea of doing it for herself.
She said: “It’s a great day-to-night. I used to be really intimidated with doing my own eye shadow.
“Then, I learned all you have to do is get a fluffy brush and you can buff out all your mistakes!”
Before using a lengthening mascara, Jessica always uses a primer first.
She said: “I always use a [lash] primer. It works so well with people with sensitive eyes, like me!”
She then uses cream blush, and explained: “Just put a little bit where you would naturally flush.”
Jessica previously admitted she loves to fit in her workout before her kids wake up.
She said: “Some of my favourite days are when I have time to crush a 45-minute hard cardio workout before the kids wake up. I’ll usually take a Spin class which will get me home around 7am, which is normally when the kids wake up. Those are the days I feel most productive.”

Gigi Hadid embraces farm life

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid loves being on her family farm because she doesn’t have to worry about “how [her] hair looks”.
The 24-year-old model loves going to her mother Yolanda Hadid’s Pennsylvania property because it reminds her of the “simple pleasures” of life and stops her having to think about her appearance in case she’s photographed by paparazzi.
She said: “The farm has really made me remember, and bring back to my life, my most simple pleasures.
“It’s allowed me to fill my days off with the little things that make me happy, like art, gardening, yoga, cooking, being outside, and spending time with my loved ones and animals without having to worry about things like what I’m wearing or how my hair looks, or being photographed or seen that day.
“Being away from the city and the public eye makes me feel like a kid again, and that freedom has been really healing for me.”
When she’s at the farm, Gigi loves to try new things and was particularly proud when she managed to use her time to make her own chairs.
Answering questions posed by her celebrity pals – including Kendall Jenner, Blake Lively, Taylor Swift and Jimmy Fallon – for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, the model said: “When I’m spending time on the farm, I find it fun to try something new and see if I can pull it off.
“It’s liberating to just create without the end goal of it being necessary to finish. The chair idea came from that.
“I wanted to see if I could build a wood frame first and then pour resin into it and make a clear chair. I built the wood part and then through the next step learned that you can only dry resin in small layers, and the more layers I added, the more it was clear that I didn’t make my frame tightly sealed enough. Failed miserably.
“I ended up giving up on the big one and made a small-scale version, which worked a lot better!
“I like the ‘Try and fail and try again method. It keeps it fun and interesting for me, and even through failures you can learn so much.”
