Cindy Bruna becomes an international spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Bruna says being made an international spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris is a “dream”.
The 25-year-old model – who was born in Saint-Raphael in France – has revealed she feels proud to have joined forces with the “iconic brand”.
Cindy shared: “I feel so honoured! It is still hard to believe! It has been a dream forever.
“As a French model, I am thrilled to be the new face of such an iconic brand from my home country.”
Cindy also stressed the need to embrace diversity within the fashion industry.
She said: “For me, diversity is what is beautiful and that is what we should embrace.
“Owning our differences and turning them into strengths, because that is exactly what they are.”
Cindy previously revealed she felt proud of her role in the fashion industry’s evolution.
Recalling her early years in the business, she explained: “It’s not easy for black girls – everybody knows that. There were usually only three of us in a show at most.
“I never felt like I had to fight anything because of the colour of my skin – it’s my skin, and I can’t change its colour.
“But it’s also wasn’t easy because they only had a couple of spots for girls who were black. And then you’d wonder if they picked you because you were black.”
Ultimately, Cindy believes the fashion industry is a “mirror of political and cultural spirit”.
She continued: “Nowadays, you see lots of diversity in magazines and in shows, which is truly amazing, and I’m really happy to be representing that.
“I’m proud of who I am, and that the industry I’m in has begun to reflect the world we live in.”

She said: “Don’t deprive yourself of anything because eventually you’ll crave it and then you might binge on it. Everything in moderation. For breakfast, I love eggs and toast and smoked salmon or bacon, or porridge. For lunch, I like some soup or sushi. And for dinner, anything from pasta to rice and meats and veggies, to sushi. Hunter McGrady: Plus-size modelling was liberating

OHMYGOSSIP — Hunter McGrady says switching to plus-size modelling was beneficial for her mental health.
The American fashion star began her career working as a regular model at the age of 15 but after struggling to keep her weight down to be a US size 00 (UK size 4), a requirement of her agency, she made the decision to move into the plus-size part of the industry.
Hunter admits that she “learned a lot” about herself and her mental health during that period where she was struggling to have a figure that was not natural for her.
In an interview with StyleCaster, she said: “I think that was the most transformative few years of my life, because I learned a lot about myself, my mental health, and all of that comes along with it. I was like, you know what? If this is what modelling is going to be, then I don’t think I can be a part of this. I don’t think that this is something that I can keep up.”
Hunter credits therapy with helping her accept who she is as a woman and embrace her bigger body.
Her career change led to Hunter doing a photo shoot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2017, which is something that still makes her proud to this day.
She said: “Through therapy, and learning who I am, what my body can do and where my body’s supposed to be, I was able to slip into what I believe is the body I was meant to be in all along.”
The 26-year-old model now only walks the runway for designers who
promote body positivity and size-inclusivity and although she knows this may cost her some work it is a principle she intends to stick to.
Hunter said: “I think that the more that we take that stand – and yes, it may suck for the time being, and it may be uncomfortable, and we may miss out on shows that are dreams of ours – but you know, the greater outcome, it’s a more positive world for everybody.”

Debbie Harry dresses for ‘comfort’

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie Harry likes to “dress for comfort”.
The 74-year-old singer is known for her glamorous punk looks – which she often sported as the lead singer of the new wave band Blondie – but has said she doesn’t enjoy getting dressed up as much as she loves wearing comfortable garments.
She said: “In general, I always try to dress for comfort. I don’t like to be too distracted by my clothing because I still want it to complement me and make my body look its best. You know, the normal things.”
The ‘Call Me’ hitmaker still loves her iconic looks though, and credits designer Stephen Sprouse with helping her style her wardrobe.
She added: “Over the years I’ve had a lot of help with my look – especially from designer Stephen Sprouse in the early days. He was very punk himself. I was never afraid of wearing, you know, garbage or ripped-up stuff. But he really taught me about the best lines for me. The surefire shots were always thigh-high boots with short skirts, long coats, and a beret. He wanted me to look like Faye Dunaway.”
Debbie still enjoys wearing skirts and boots, as she says she feels “comfortable” in “short skirts”.
She said: “I always felt very comfortable in short skirts and thigh-high boots. It just worked for me. But when I’m working with a stylist, I try to be open-minded because sometimes you get a really good surprise that leads you in a new direction.”
And when it comes to specific designers, the ‘One Way Or Another’ singer thinks Balenciaga is “one of the best”.
Speaking to Bebe Rexha in an interview for InStyle’s May Style Crush, she explained: “Balenciaga is one of the best. I love representing what a designer is thinking. They have these big references in their mind, and it’s like a whirlpool that washes around and something amazing pops out for us to wear. I was recently at the Coach show, and they dressed me in a beautiful look that had Jean-Michel Basquiat drawings on it. [below] That was really exciting for me to wear.”

Molly-Mae Hague regrets fillers

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague regrets getting fillers at the age of 18.
The ‘Love Island’ star first got fillers in her chin two years ago but admitted that the procedure did not go well and she had to have it fixed.
Speaking in a new YouTube video, Molly-Mae explained: “I didn’t tell my mum the first time I had fillers because I was petrified of what she was going to say.
“But when I actually had them done, she noticed, she’s my mum… I wish I listened to my mum more about fillers because it’s something I had to change. If I had listened, it wouldn’t have been something I had to try and fix in the long run.
“In the long run it makes you look worse. I was trying to sharpen this area here [on her chin]. What it did was make it look bigger. It looked like I had jowls. I had ‘square head’, ‘blockhead’.”
And Molly admitted that she had to put up with some name-calling after the fillers disaster.
She said: “People called me Quagmire from ‘Family Guy’. The worst one is that I look like an X-Box controller!”
Meanwhile, Molly-Mae previously admitted she found it “so hard” to see several celebrities she “really loved” had been trolling her during her time on ‘Love Island’.
The 20-year-old social media influencer was stunned to see a number of people she “looked up to”, including a Victoria’s Secret model, had “joined in on the trolling” against her while she was in the villa.
She said: “One thing I was really shocked about when I came out was a lot of celebrities that I looked up to and really loved, I’d go back on their accounts to see what they’d been saying and a lot had been joining in on the trolling and negativity against me.
“Like a Victoria’s Secret model who I’d adored for ages joining in on it and it was so hard to see. There were a lot of celebrities encouraging negativity.
“You’d think they’d understand better than anyone else, you just wouldn’t think that would be a thing, you’d think celebrities would understand what it feels like.”

Jameela Jamil defends criticism of diet products

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil has defended her criticism of celebrities promoting flat tummy teas.
The 34-year-old actress and activist shared a clip of an old video of herself on Trevor Noah’s ‘The Daily Show’ in which she hit out at stars promoting the diet products to their young followers.
She captioned the video “Your photoshopped, surgically enhanced flat tummy, f**k off,” but was furious when a fan called her out for shaming other women.
The fan sarcastically wrote: “I love when feminists shame other women. It’s the best,” but Jameela insisted that the diet products are harmful and she was within her rights to blast women for promoting them.
She fumed: “So women should get away with everything because they’re women? With lying to women?
“With selling dangerous products to women? To making women feel bad about themselves?
“Men criticise other bad men all the time and aren’t accused of being anti-male. Mollycoddling isn’t feminism.”
The presenter and activist – who has previously shamed the Kardashians, Amber Rose, Cardi B, and Iggy Azalea – has said she has a “moral responsibility” to call out celebrities for their promotional posts and has no qualms about publicly slamming those who champion the weight loss products.
She said: “I’m not nervous to call anyone out. I think people are just scared and greedy. I think girls, in particular, are scared because we’re always told to not be unlikable, and not to be difficult, and to be perfect. I would like to, hopefully, be a force of change in that [and] show people that sometimes you have to be scary, and you have to be intimidating, and you have to be bold, and you have to be unlikable in order to protect yourself and to protect other people. It’s like a moral responsibility. More people should be doing this. I’m doing the bare minimum, and everyone else should be doing the same.”

In total, there are 10 shades of cream blush – including pinks, neutral tones, and a purple – which are each priced at $20.
The cream bronzer comes in seven shades for $32 each, while the face shaping brush is priced at $34.
Meanwhile, Rihanna previously insisted her fashion and beauty brands – including her Savage X Fenty line – are like her “kids”.
She said: “It’s like having two kids but one is a newborn, and one is three. They need a different amount of attention, and they need a different amount of intimacy.
“I love them all the same but they’re all different kids.”
And the ‘Umbrella’ singer is determined to design clothes that aren’t gender specific.
The pop icon explained: “I just feel like there should be no one to tell me where the hell to buy my s**t that I want to wear.
“So when it comes to my demographic, I feel like they think the same way, and they really exude that. When I’m designing and I have them in mind, I don’t think I should tell them what to do or where to shop.”
