Kendall Jenner launches stain-removal toothpaste

OHMYGOSSIP — Kendall Jenner has launched a new stain-removal toothpaste.
The 24-year-old supermodel has collaborated with MOON and designer Heron Preston on a limited edition orange stain-removal toothpaste, with just 350 units available on global luxury resale marketplace StockX.
Kendall posted about the new product on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “excited about his collab! @heronpreston x @moon #moon_partner.”
Fashion designer Heron Preston said “Working with MOON, felt totally new and unique to what I have worked on in the past. I really wanted to push the opportunity and keep it fun by presenting a toothpaste in my signature orange hue. My mom works in dentistry and always emphasised the importance of oral care when I was growing up. To this day, taking care of my teeth is a top priority and I think my mom is going to be psyched when she finds out that I have my own orange toothpaste now! I’m excited to partner with Kendall, MOON and StockX for this special drop and can’t wait to see everyone’s orange smiles!”
Tom Woodger, StockX VP of Cultural Marketing, said: “StockX is not only the go-to destination for highly coveted items with cultural value but the lens through which current culture products come to life. This DropX release marks our first foray into the personal care and beauty space and we’re excited to be able to support creatives like Heron Preston and the forces behind MOON — Shaun Neff and Kendall Jenner. Affording brands like MOON the opportunity to release products directly to the StockX community is yet another example of how we continue to blur the lines between retail and resale.”
Pricing for the product will start at £11.50 and will be available until 1am BST on November 3, or until it sells out. For more information, go to https://stockx.com/heron-preston-x-moon-stain-removal-whitening-paste

Iris Law relaxes with essential oils and loose-leaf tea.

OHMYGOSSIP — Iris Law relaxes with essential oils and loose-leaf tea.
The 20-year-old daughter of Sadie Frost and Jude Law says it is important for her home to be a “sacred” and “calming” place amid the chaos of everyday life.
She told Vogue.co.uk: “It’s really important to make your home feel like a sacred place. I like finding a ritualistic and calming side to every day, so I’ll often cook with my boyfriend and I have a beautiful diffuser that my auntie got me, which has different essential oils. It makes my room smell lovely before going to bed. Also, I have different loose-leaf teas from a variety of places.”
Speaking earlier this year about essential oils, she said: “I’ve turned my room into a sanctuary. I have a Puzhen aroma diffuser and doTerra Essential Oils.”
Iris is carving out her own career as a model but previously revealed she turns to her mother for fashion advice and even raids Sadie’s wardrobe whenever she can.
She said: “My black Chanel bag used to be my mum’s. It’s hot pink inside, it’s so tiny it feels like you’re holding just a wallet, and it goes with every outfit.”
Along with Chanel handbags, Iris also loves the brand’s make-up, explaining: “I’m a lipstick addict. I’ll change it throughout the day depending on what mood I’m in, but I love berry, especially Chanel’s Rouge Allure in the shade Passion

Offset defends Cardi B’s Hermés Birkin handbag collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Offset has defended Cardi B’s Hermés Birkin handbag collection.
A viral tweet posted recently claimed that the iconic handbags are “losing their value” because Black female rappers make them less “exclusive” and now Offset has hit back at the trolls, insisting “black people having access to luxury shouldn’t be a debate”.
He wrote online: “Stop letting people on the internet tell ya’ll who can get a Birkin at the store, and how many Birkin’s you can get. Black people having access to luxury shouldn’t be a debate … by the way hip hop starts the trends.”
It comes after Cardi slammed racist comments made about her Hermés Birkin handbag collection.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker fumed: “I’ve been seeing this tweet right. It had me and it had other female rappers on it. They were talking about if we could get Birkins from the Hermés store and they were also saying how we depreciate the value of a Hermés Birkin bag. I find that really interesting because, first thing first, I definitely could get a bag. Actually, I got four bags today from the Hermés store … Why are you questioning if Black women could get a bag from the Hermés store; y’all don’t do this to these white celebrities. So why is it that y’all gotta be asking us? What the f***? It just makes you want to brag like, ‘B**** do you know who the f*** you’re talking to?’ But no, I’m not even going to take it there.”
Cardi also defended Offset’s decision to give their two-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari a Birkin bag.
Defending his decision, she shared on her Instagram stories: “I know when celebrities buy their kids jewellery and designer s***, people be like, ‘Kids don’t care about that, they only care about toys and candy.’ But the thing is, kids also go outside. Kids go to restaurants, kids go to fancy places. Celebrity kids, they go do red carpets. And if I’m fly, and daddy’s fly, then so is the kid. If I’m wearing Cha-nay-nay [Chanel], my kid’s having the same thing. It’s not up to what the kids like. If it was the kids, they’d be outside in diapers. No, cause if I was looking like a bad b*****, expensive b****, and I had my kid looking like a bum bum, then y’all would be talking s***. So, I’m not mad that daddy bought baby a Birkin. She’s gonna match mommy.”

Bobbi Brown launches new beauty brand

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobbi Brown has launched a new beauty brand – four years after leaving her eponymous brand.
The 63-year-old professional makeup artist has started a new venture, Jones Road, which she has described as the “makeup equivalent of a Swiss Army Knife”.
In a message posted to the brand’s website, she said: “Four years ago, after I left Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, one of those questions [I asked myself] was: Why can’t I find makeup products that are both clean and high-performance – that don’t sacrifice one for the other? Jones Road was born from a search for something that didn’t yet exist. Because it didn’t exist, I had to create it. What I wanted was the makeup equivalent of a Swiss Army Knife: easy, cool, multi-purpose products that could be used to nail any look, whether it be no-makeup makeup or something with more drama.”
Bobbi feels most herself doing simple makeup routines, rather than the glam she was used to with her previous company.
Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, she explained of her preference for “simple” looks nowadays: “When I was promoting my books as part of the brand, I had stylists and PR people and cars and drivers. When I promoted a book after [I left Bobbi Brown Cosmetics], I’d get a blowout from one of those places, and show up in the studio in jeans and sneakers – and me doing my own makeup by the way – and I felt, ‘Wow, this is who I really am.’ I really liked being my simple, normal self.”
Bobbi feels things are completely “different” today than when she set up her previous brand.
Speaking about her new brand, she said: “I created my original brand in the ’90s. Things are different today. Women shop differently; there is a new definition of what beauty is. Imperfect is beautiful.”

Gwyneth Paltrow ‘educating’ makeup artist on clean beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow has “educated” her makeup artist on clean beauty.
The ‘Mortdecai’ actress’ makeup artist Georgie Eisdell has revealed how Gwyneth’s Goop company has given her “quite the education” about clean beauty and making “skin looking and feeling great”.
She said: “I threw myself into the world of clean beauty [when] one of my dearest friends was diagnosed with breast cancer about six years ago now. When she was preparing for treatment, I wanted to make sure she had everything she needed to keep her skin looking and feeling great and to have some options for her for when she wanted to wear makeup …
“Being around the team at Goop has made me a lot more aware of what we can and should be looking at when it comes to beauty. I have had quite the education and I am grateful for it.”
And Georgie likes to use “brighter cheek colours” for Gwyneth’s looks.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, she added: “I love Goop’s Enriching Face Oil and Revitalizing Daily Moisturizer, and I am obsessed with the GoopGlow Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator. I also love to use brighter cheek colours on her. Jillian Dempsey’s Cheek and Lip Tints are my faves — I love Poppy or Scarlet. [For mascara,] like to use Saie’s Mascara 101. With lips, I mix it up with brands like Beautycounter, Ilia, and Saie … I love that Saie is clean, safe, and performs. My favourite part is you don’t need to use a single brush to apply any of it if you don’t want to.”

Ashley Graham’s hair loss

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham’s “whole hairline fell out” after she had a baby.
The model has recalled how four months after she gave birth to her son Isaac, she experienced some hair loss and is now slowly starting to see it grow back.
Speaking about her haircare routine, she said: “I go to sleep with my hair wet. I part it down the middle and then douse my head with John Frieda Dream Curls. I’ve been using it since I was 15 years old. This is the only way I can get a full head of hair when I wake up in the morning … In the morning, I have slightly frizzy waves. I have this finishing gel by Vientti. Four months postpartum my whole hairline fell out, and now I have a bunch of cowlicks from all the baby hair growing in. This gel isn’t too thick, and it tames my centre part. It can be so heartbreaking when you’re looking at your child, and he’s so healthy and adorable, and then you look at yourself, and you’re, like, what is happening to me? These are things women go through!”
And the 32-year-old model likes to emulate Tracee Ellis Ross’ skin-care routine.
She added to the New York Times newspaper: “I like to use skin-care products that my skin idols use. Tracee Ellis Ross, her skin looks phenomenal. She’s on Skinceuticals right now, so I’m on Skinceuticals right now. I’ve been using the Phloretin CF serum. It’s stinky, but again because it stinks, I know it’s working, ha! I also use the vitamin C serum and the Triple Restore moisturizer. It’s ah-mazing. Sometimes I use the Restore lip stuff. It tastes disgusting, but I think it’s helping my lips.
“Through quarantine, I’ve been eating whatever I want. That’s probably why I’ve been getting acne on my forehead. I use my Mario Badescu drying solution only after my Dr. Pimple Popper picking kit. If you’ve ever used a lancer on yourself, this is addictive! You have to be OK with poking a needle in your face, but I’m really good at it.”

Tracee Ellis Ross has finally learned to love her hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Tracee Ellis Ross has finally learned to love her hair.
The 47-year-old actress and singer – who has her own hair-care brand Pattern – says that “hair love is self love” and admitted that “my journey to self acceptance can be chronicled through my journey with my hair”.
Tracee wrote on Instagram: “I’ve always said that my journey to self acceptance can be chronicled through my journey with my hair. Taking the time to accept, understand and love my hair mirrors the relationship I have with myself. I have grown to love and appreciate my hair in all of its seasons. Because hair love IS self love.”
Tracee admitted it took her some time to grow to love her hair and she still faces challenges with it but she has come to love her locks, although she is not yet ready to embrace her greys.
She explained: “My hair has played many a role throughout my life. When I was a teen, I didn’t understand it so I tried everything under the sun to make it do what I thought it should. The results were not great. Namely, it was fried. But, once I began listening to my hair and started figuring out what it liked, my true curl pattern emerged. By the time I made it onto Girlfriends my hair was healthy and POPPIN. But as I have grown and matured my texture has evolved.
“My hair is now turning grey (evidence of my life and my years). And while the grey has changed my texture and the dye I use to cover it has loosened my pattern, I finally know my hair inside and out. I know what she likes, what she doesn’t like, and how she’ll react in any given situation. And while I’m not ready to embrace the grey just yet, I’m sure that will be exciting when I do! (sic)”

Lady Gaga: Self-care routines are the best beauty tip of all

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga uses make-up and perfume to “transform” how she feels.
The 34-year-old star – who has her own Haus Laboratories line – says self-care comes in many different ways and she approaches her beauty routine “holistically”.
Gaga explained to the Sunday Independent’s Life Magazine: “I believe self-care routines, in and of themselves, are the best beauty tip of all. If you care for your mind, body, skin, heart, and healing, you approach beauty holistically. For me, using makeup as well as perfume to transform how I feel at any moment is valuable as well. Even though working on ourselves from the inside is the most crucial, I also cherish the power of visual transformation to affect how we feel inside.”
Gaga – who is the face of Valentino’s latest fragrance, Voce Viva – also believes kindness can heal the “mind, body and soul”.
She explained: “I believe it is more important than ever to motivate an agenda of kindness. Kindness that leads to the healing of the mind, body, and soul. Kindness that invigorates initiatives that are fearless in their effort to help humanity learn the importance of self-care.
“Whenever someone told me I wasn’t good enough throughout my career and life, I never let it break me. I promised myself that every time I heard ‘no,’ it would motivate me to work harder. The most daring thing I did was believe in myself.”

Lily Allen’s last minute wedding dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Allen only found her wedding dress an hour before the ceremony.
The 35-year-old singer tied the knot with ‘Stranger Things’ actor David Harbour in a Las Vegas wedding chapel, presided over by an Elvis impersonator, in September and Lily admitted her stunning off-the-shoulder cream Dior mini-dress was a last-minute purchase.
She told The Sunday Times Style magazine: “I found it an hour and a half before the ceremony. That morning, me and [Lily’s daughter] Ethel had been to Beautiful Brides, a dress rental place in the backstreets of Vegas somewhere, tried on all manner of Dolly Parton-esque numbers. Oh, it could’ve been very different! Literally, there was an hour in it.”
And Lily revealed it was her eight-year-old daughter Ethel who convinced her to get the dress.
She said: “I had rented a dress, which was on its way to the hotel, then Ethel said, ‘Let’s keep looking.’ So we went to a few other shops. That dress wasn’t even on the rail, it was in a back room. The girl in the shop said, ‘What’s the occasion?’ I was, like, ‘I’m getting married!’ She said, ‘Well, I’ve got this dress, it’s not really a wedding dress …’ I tried it on. Ethel was playing this game called Roblox on my phone. And I said, ‘What do you think?’ She looked at me, looked back at the phone, and said, ‘I really don’t think you’re leaving this shop without it.’ Aged eight.”

Bella Hadid becomes virtual avatar for Mugler campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid has been turned into a virtual avatar for a new Mugler campaign.
The 24-year-old model teamed up with Mugler’s artistic director Casey Cadwallader to create a digital film for the high end brand’s spring 2021 collection, which features the beauty in avatar form.
Casey explained that he didn’t want the brand to “go quiet” during what should have been fashion show season after several shows were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and so came up with the idea of doing everything virtually.
He said: “I said, ‘Wait, what if we make her into an avatar?’ I knew that Florian Joahn, the director of the film, had worked with a lot of CGI artists before, so we could play with CGI in the movie.
“We found a studio in Brooklyn and then Haley Wollens, the [New York–based] stylist that I work with, went with Bella to the studio and prepped her hair and makeup. Then all of a sudden Bella was standing there, you know, pretty much naked!”
Whilst Bella filmed the project from New York, Casey and the rest of his team were based in Paris, France, and so he watched the process of creating “Digi-Bella” happen over a Zoom call.
He added: “We got her 3D form and then we had to really scratch our heads and say, ‘What are we going to do with it?’”
The finished result is a catwalk virtual Bella that opens the video wearing a white tank and seamed jeans, before she later transforms into a Pegasus-centaur hybrid leaping off the Palais Garnier.
Casey said of the CGI masterpiece: “I thought that that was a good fit for Bella because I know she rides horses and loves horses. I thought that she would get a kick out of it.”
Bella closes the film with the rest of the cast in a black bodysuit.
Speaking to Vogue magazine, Casey said of the film: “I didn’t want to mess it up. And that’s a lot of pressure because she’s a gorgeous human being and I take a lot of responsibility in taking her into the virtual world.
“I love my cast so much. We spend so much time thinking about every single person, because it’s not just about their external aesthetics. It’s about this amazing glow that comes from within these really confident and amazing modern people.
“Things have changed a lot in the last 10 years. In the past it was just the brand mowing over the person; you used to work with the model and transform her. Now you work with a model because of who they are. You don’t want to plaster over someone and take away their identity.”

Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman boots to go up for auction

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts’ iconic ‘Pretty Woman’ boots are being auctioned off.
The 52-year-old actress donned a classic pair of shiny black high-heeled boots in the 1990 movie, which has since formed most memorable screen-style moments.
And now, the boots worn in the Garry Marshall movie could be owned by one lucky fashion fanatic, as they are set to go up for auction as a part of Prop Store’s annual live auction.
The auction will feature iconic items not only from the hit 1990 film, but also from an array of movies and TV shows, including ‘Friends’, ‘The Matrix Reloaded’, ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’, ‘Batman’, and more.
The shoes are expected to sell for between $13,000 and $19,000, and hopeful bidders can stake their claim on the boots between December 1 and 2, which is when the auction goes live.
Anyone looking to place a bid will have to register first though, and registration is open from now until October 29.
Meanwhile, Julia was honoured with the Style Icon Award at the 2018 InStyle Awards, and said she felt undeserving of the accolade because she “never ever” goes shopping, and instead just chooses “the right stuff” that her style team brings for her to look at.
She said: “When you’re popular and tall, you just have these incredibly smart people to your house with racks of stunning things. And so, this award is for being good at saying, ‘Oh, I think that, that one.’ I went from pointing at the right stuff. That’s honestly the whole thing. I never go shopping. I just said I wanted to wear these shoes and that makes me somehow great in a very pretend way.”
And Julia also said she would give “credit” for her style choices to her younger self, as she said she used to make bold decisions even if they didn’t look great.
She added: “If I were to take any credit, I would thank 22-year-old version of me, who wore, ad nauseam, a sort-of-like high-ranking naval jacket that I found at a vintage store with inexplicable black-and-white horizontal striped leggings and thought I was fantastic. For that girl, I thank you.”

Selma Blair wore Draper James to Legally Blonde reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Selma Blair wore a Draper James outfit to the virtual ‘Legally Blonde’ reunion this week.
The 48-year-old actress took part in an online reunion for the cast of the 2001 comedy movie – in which she played Vivian Kensington – this week, which was set up and hosted by Reese Witherspoon, who played lead character Elle Woods.
And to commemorate the special occasion – which marked almost 20 years since the cast last got together – Selma decided to wear a brand new outfit from Reese’s own clothing line, Draper James, which she described as “perfectly playful”.
Writing on Instagram, Selma explained: “What an excellent day was had yesterday… basking in the golden light of nostalgia and today. The warmth and fun of all of the artists, writers, and glam and wardrobe crews… To be a character in this hollywood classic that Elle Woods brought to sparkling life… it feels good.
“And then this perfect playful outfit (for the Vivian Kensington in all of us) arrived from Reese. By Reese. A lovely respite. I’m going to watch legally blonde with my son this week. Perhaps. If he will sit still. (sic)”
Draper James was founded by Reese in 2015, with the goal of bringing together “classic American style” with “Southern charm”.
And Reese, 44, previously said she created the brand because she didn’t think the fashion industry was catering to southern style.
She said: “I don’t know why New York and LA have become the places that dictate how everyone else is supposed to live. There’s this whole world in-between of people who love style and have incredible taste.
“We create things that remind us of our southern upbringings and want everything we put out there to bring you joy and be something you’ll have forever.”

Demi Lovato slams ‘harmful’ retouching apps

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has slammed “harmful” retouching apps.
The ‘Anyone’ hitmaker has hit out at people who take photos of celebrities and put them through apps that alter their appearances to make them fit current influencer aesthetics, as she says the programs “reinforce impossible beauty standards” and can be “harmful” to the celebrity involved.
She fumed on social media: “sometimes fan art can seem harmless, but be careful if you’re constantly editing your idol’s pictures. Reinforcing impossible beauty standards onto your favorite actress/singer/model not only rude, dumb, & harmful to your own beauty standards and ideals. (sic)”
Demi, 27, also shared more context from a journalist named Danae Mercer, who posted before and after pictures of celebrities who have had their images retouched, including Margot Robbie, Cameron Diaz, and Anne Hathaway.
In the post which Demi shared, Danae wrote: “PHOTOSHOPPING accounts are popping up EVERYWHERE – making already stunning celebrities ‘MORE BEAUTIFUL’ or transforming pieces of art to fit today’s FACETUNED AESTHETIC.
“Be careful on the internet.
“Be careful when looking at the world through a lens that is filtered in so many, many ways.
“The images of the FACETUNED CELEBRITIES feels jarring. The same goes for the ‘enhanced’ art. But we see these kinds of edits every. single. day.
“Be careful with your heart, Your mental health, And the content you consume.
“Because YOU are wonderful. You are amazing. And you, my dear, deserve to believe it every single day. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Demi previously opened up on her battle with an eating disorder, which began when she kept seeing “really skinny celebrities” and thought she needed to look like them.
The singer also struggled with addiction and self harm, and said she hopes to be the kind of role model for young people that she herself didn’t have when she was growing up.
She said: “I grew up in the era of really, really skinny celebrities. That was the look. And it was cool to be seen partying. Drugs were glamorised, and when I was 12 or 13, nobody [I looked up to] was talking about mental illness. Nobody was talking about eating disorders. Nobody was talking about cutting. I wanted somebody for my little sister to look up to. I took on that role because I knew it was important.”
