Cindy Crawford regrets bleached eyebrows

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Crawford regrets having her eyebrows bleached.
The 54-year-old supermodel has confessed that one of her biggest beauty fails was letting make-up artist to the stars, Kevyn Aucoin – who has worked his magic on the likes of Cher, Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Naomi Campbell – dye her brows. The stunning brunette said: “Of course I have beauty regrets, but usually they were more about fashion — like a side ponytail. But my biggest was probably letting the make-up artist Kevyn Aucoin bleach my eyebrows. I never realised before how much your eyebrows really frame your face!”Meanwhile, the ‘Fair Game’ star insisted that the biggest skincare tip she’s ever received is to maintain the same weight, because fluctuating isn’t “great for the elasticity in your skin”.She added to The Sunday Times newspaper: “I did learn a lot from the incredible make-up artists I have worked with over the years. The most important thing I learnt, though, is that there really are no tricks: it’s doing the stuff we all know is good for us — stay hydrated, get enough sleep, avoid smoking, take off your make-up properly and use good products especially directly on your skin, for example face creams and foundations. One thing that [the cosmetic doctor] Dr Sebagh taught me was to try to pick a weight and stay there. Weight fluctuations aren’t great for the elasticity in your skin. So make sure the weight isn’t your skinniest!”

Jane Fonda uses hemp vape pen to get a good night’s sleep

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Fonda uses a hemp vape pen to help her get a good night’s sleep.
The 83-year-old Hollywood star has revealed she swapped sleeping pills for vaping before she goes to bed, because the tablets would make her feel “hungover” the next day and she’d need to nap.
The ‘Book Club’ actress, who insisted she doesn’t vape to get high, told SELF: “So it doesn’t get you high, but it’s four puffs and I’m asleep. I’m kind of obsessed with hemp. Not for the reasons that you might think, you know, because it makes you high. Because I don’t smoke pot to get high anymore.
Before I discovered Dosist Sleep vape pens, which I can get at stores here in Los Angeles called MedMen, I took sleeping pills. And I would be hungover the next day. When I was shooting ‘Grace and Frankie’, I would break a pill in half, so I’d take a very, very small dose. But the next day I would need to take a nap during the lunch break. I don’t need to do that anymore. When I wake up, I don’t have any need to sleep during the day.”
The Oscar-winner also revealed she likes to be in bed early by 6.30pm or 7pm, but she doesn’t go to sleep until around 10pm after watching some TV.
She said: “See, I live by myself. I don’t have a husband or a lover, so I can kind of do whatever I want. I’m usually in bed pretty early. I have a bed where you can lift up the head and lift up the feet. You know, like a hospital bed. It’s a very comfortable mattress. So I raise the head and I raise the feet, and I start to watch television.”
And Fonda admitted she can’t sleep without having her fan on.
She added: “I turn the temperature down to 68 and I turn the fan on so the air is always moving. It’s hard for me to sleep unless there’s air moving. Preferably cool air, so it’s nice that my bedroom has a ceiling fan. Well, I actually installed it – it wasn’t there before. It’s very quiet where I live, so there’s no outside noises that disturb me during the night. There’ve been a few earthquakes, but they weren’t big. That’s about it.”

Tia Mowry told by TV bosses her curly hair was ‘distracting’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tia Mowry was told her natural curls were “distracting” by TV bosses.
The 42-year-old actress and her identical twin sister, Tamera – who starred together in the hit sitcom ‘Sister, Sister’ – started straightening their hair in their teens because they were made to feel insecure about their natural tresses at auditions.
Tia told ELLE.com: “When we were younger, it was wonderful being able to wear our natural hair. People were always like, ‘Oh, you’re so cute. We love your curls.’ But as we went into adulthood, you could see that when we became teenagers in the show, we ended up straightening our hair. It was such a pivotal moment in the series because it was also a reflection of what was being pushed as ‘beautiful’ in society. When I straightened my hair, it damaged my hair and it damaged my natural curls. Again, there were those insecurities. In this business, if I had my hair curly, I was told, ‘Can you pull that back?’ On auditions, I was told, ‘It’s distracting.'”
However, Tia’s mother Darlene made sure her daughters didn’t let the remarks about their hair set them back.
She continued: “But I thank God that my mom told us, ‘Do not allow this business to define you. Do not allow this business to define your happiness. Do not allow this business to define your value.’ I believe that’s what saved us from falling into the pit of childhood stardom.”
Now, Tia is “unapologetic” when it comes to hair and beauty as she has learned to embrace “every part” of her.
She explained: “When you’re younger, you have insecurities about who you are and where you stand, but now I’m very unapologetic. I’m like, ‘This is who I am. I love every part of me. I love the wrinkles that I have. I love my smile. I love my gray hair. I love every part of who I am.'”

Rita Ora loves shoes that make her feel ‘comfortable and sexy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Ora loves shoes that make her feel “comfortable and sexy”.
The ‘Hot Right Now’ singer has designed her second Rita Ora x ShoeDazzle footwear collection, which is set to launch in Spring, and loved being given the creative freedom to experiment with the designs.
She said: “The tech and design teams were very open to creative direction. That’s really important to me. I love experimenting. I love vintage looks and finding little gems that we could incorporate into the pieces. It’s definitely been an amazing experience.”
The 30-year-old pop star added how when she’s on a night out she will wear heels and keep a pair of sneakers in her bag to change into.
Rita added to WWD.com: “Women love to feel comfortable and sexy at the same time. For me, I love wearing trainers — you guys call them sneakers. I am a bit of a tomboy. But having a pair of sneakers and a sexy heel in your bag is a double whammy.”
The first Rita Ora x ShoeDazzle collection dropped last autumn and the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ star explained that she partnered with ShoeDazzle because the brand understands the importance of “accessibility and affordability”.
The ‘New Look’ singer said at the time: “I felt that it was really important to partner with someone I knew who understood the importance of accessibility, especially given the times that we live in. ShoeDazzle has really always kind of understood the need of access and affordability, which was of big importance for me. So, working with them felt like a natural fit. I’m a hands-on kind of girl … We put an enormous amount of thought and detail into making the shoes.”

Megan, 25, will work on a bunch of campaigns for Mielle later this year.
The ‘WAP’ star’s new role comes after she was named a brand ambassador for Revlon in 2020.
Megan previously said her Revlon partnership proved she didn’t have to change herself to be successful.
She said: “I’m probably not the typical cookie-cutter artist or person. I do what I want to do when I want to do it and how I want to do it, and collaborating with Revlon makes me feel good because I know there are girls out there who are looking at me like, ‘Oh my gosh, Megan is doing so many big things and she didn’t have to change herself or compromise her brand to be successful.’”

Rihanna’s Fenty fashion label is on pause

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna’s Fenty clothing label has been “put on hold”.
The ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker launched the luxury fashion line in 2019 with LVMH.
However, after two years, they’ve made the joint decision to close down the clothing business to focus on the singer’s lucrative Fenty Beauty cosmetics and Savage x Fenty lingerie lines.
In a statement issued to WWD.com, LVMH said: “Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions. Following the completion of a fundraising round where L Catterton has taken a stake into Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of [the] Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie.”
The Fenty clothing arm was tailored to the high-end market, whereas Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty is more affordable.
The last collection was in November and saw Rihanna team up with popular designer Amina Muaddi on a range of heels.
Upon the launch of Fenty clothing, the 32-year-old star had insisted: “I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it. I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that.”
Rihanna is yet to comment on the closure.

Chloe Grace Moretz relies on exercise for ‘mental clarity’ and grounding

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Grace Moretz says exercise gives her “mental clarity” and keeps her “grounded”.
The 24-year-old actress admitted she “lost sight” of how “important” regular exercise is for her mind, body and soul for a while, and now she’s gotten back into it “full time”.
Chloe told the March issue of Shape magazine – of which she is the cover star – that: “A few years ago, I lost sight of how important exercising is to me. I forgot how it provides mental clarity and dexterity and keeps me grounded and strong. Now I’ve really gotten back into it full time. Working the mind, body, and soul — that’s super important.
“Before the pandemic, I was exercising with my trainer Jason Walsh, who focuses on primal movements, like bear crawls and baby rolls where you’re rolling from your abdomen to your back. When I started, these basic moves immediately helped different pains leave my body. Five days a week, I was seeing either Jason in L.A. or another amazing trainer, Daniel Lavipour, in London. Then on the weekends, I was taking restorative yoga classes. I was constantly with them, either in person or over FaceTime. There’s something wonderful about that companionship.”
Chloe has since decided to exercise on her own without a trainer and isn’t hard on herself if she ends up just sitting down for “20 minutes of quiet” instead of working out, because she’s able to “unravel” her “emotions” in that time.
She continued: “But in quarantine, I’ve paused the trainer workouts. For the first time, I’ve realised I have the ability to continue regular exercise on my own, although it may not be as intense. Some days, all I can muster is getting up and stretching. It’s enough to say, ‘I thought about working out, but now I’m sitting here and at least I’m having 20 minutes of quiet.’ I’m using that designated workout time to unravel my emotions.
Elsewhere, the ‘Kick-Ass’ star revealed skincare is always her top priority and that she regularly has a lymphatic drainage treatment to help sculpt her face and clear up acne.
She told the publication: “For me, skincare is first and foremost. I rely on natural products, but very few products in general. To wash, I usually use olive oil and honey as an antimicrobial cleanser. Then as a toner, I use the SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence, which is like this miracle water. I also do a lot of lymphatic drainage in my face regularly, which helps clean up the acne.”

Anthony Joshua unveils JD’s Champs Honours List 2020

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony Joshua teamed up with JD to unveil their #JDChampsHonours List in honour of those who made a difference in 2020.
The 31-year-old boxer and long-time ambassador for the British sports-fashion firm was chosen to reveal to the 20 champions in the UK, who overcame struggles and challenges amid the unprecedented year amid the COVID-19 pandemic
Those who made the list include frontline healthcare workers, carers, volunteers, and those who lost loved ones to the virus.
Anthony said: “It’s so inspiring to see how many people have gone out of their way to make a difference to other people’s lives and give back. 2020 wasn’t easy for any of us but reading these stories shows that no matter how tough times can get, the UK can produce some true champions.
“Having JD’s support to make this project happen was a great experience and I’m really glad I got to meet the people behind the stories. Being a true champion is something that you can’t teach, and I hope that these inspiring people carry on doing their amazing work throughout 2021 and beyond.”
Among those to be recognised was 22-year-old Josh Reese from Liverpool.
His girlfriend nominated him for “overcoming his struggles with depression and the passing of his dad to get into university.”
Anthony told Josh via video call: “Where you were during the dark period is not where you want be, the support system of your girlfriend and family is so important to have.”
Josie Lewis from South Wales, who is also an aspiring boxer, was nominated for bringing out her karaoke machine during every Clap for Carers celebration to lift the spirits of her neighbours.
Anthony told her: “It’s not just about being positive, you’re very strong minded and I know you do not underestimate yourself.”
JD staff member, Eve Remmington, was also honoured for her voluntary work at her local community kitchen, where she helps get meals to the vulnerable alongside her studies and a part-time job.
The heavyweight champ said to Eve: “You’ve been doing good stuff in your community and that’s what it’s about – main thing people can do is give back, normally the whole world is all about take take take take but you’re giving back to the people that need it most.”

Irina Shayk used cooking ingredients as skincare before she became a model

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk used to use cooking ingredients for her skincare routine before she became a model.
The 35-year-old Russian beauty didn’t have access to luxury skincare products when she was growing up in the small southwestern town of Yemanzhelinsk, so her mother taught her to use what was in the fridge to help boost her complexion.
She told Vogue: “I didn’t start to use creams and stuff until I was like 19 or 20 and I started to work as a model. Before, we didn’t really have access to the creams and stuff. We’d use stuff from the refrigerators, like a cucumber mask for moisturising or something. I remember my mother was cooking with coconut oil and putting it on her skin as well. She was using whatever she was cooking with.”
Elsewhere, Irina revealed she’s been experimenting with “a street style” in quarantine.
She said: “In my normal life, I never got dressed up, because for me it was all about comfort. Before, we used to go to big events and parties with make-up and get dressed up. Now, I think I miss those fun moments, so I decided that I can have fun with a street style.”
And the Sports Illustrated model noted that her mood changes when she adds a splash of colour to her wardrobe.
She added: “I had so many different pieces sitting in my closet from years ago. When I didn’t know what to wear, I’d wear something simple and black. Now, I figured it is time to use a splash of colour in my wardrobe. When you put on some colour, it just brings your mood to a different level.”

Halsey: I’m exhausted with the industry of Instagram filters

OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey believes constantly looking at yourself through an Instagram filter must be “damaging”.
The ‘Without Me’ hitmaker recently launched her debut beauty line, About-Face, with the aim of making people “love” themselves as they are.
And Halsey has admitted she had to “make peace with her face”, because she couldn’t “control” the angle or edit of paparazzi shots of her, and she’s compared it to when people use a filter on selfies and then feel “disappointed” with what they look like in real life.
She said: “I’m exhausted with this industry of Instagram filters. It’s gotta be damaging to your brain to constantly be looking at yourself through an altered lens and being disappointed with what your face actually looks like. I know what that feels like because when I first started getting publicity of some kind, I would go out and [paparazzi would] take pictures of me. I can’t control the angle. I can’t control the lighting. I can’t control if it’s my good side or my bad side. The pictures would come out and I would just have to look at them and go, ‘Okay. That’s what I look like.’ I don’t get to change it. I have to make peace with my face …That’s what I want About-Face to be: loving and appreciating what you look like.”
The 26-year-old pop star – who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin – also admitted that she feels her “most confident” when she has a bald head, even though society might not deem that her “prettiest look”.
And Halsey wants to encourage her young fans to feel “brave enough” to be themselves and wear whatever make-up makes them feel happy.
She added in an interview with Byrdie.com: “I want young people to feel like they’re brave enough to leave the house with, like, lime green eyeshadow and black lipstick on.
“I have a pretty good idea of what my ‘prettiest’ look is, by social standards, but it doesn’t mean it’s what I want to look like. I definitely don’t think that my most ‘Hollywood’ look is when I have a bald head, but it’s when I feel the most confident.”

Cardi B feels ‘great’ and ‘comfortable’ in her skin without make-up on

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has hit back at her haters and admitted she feels “great” in her skin.
The ‘Up’ hitmaker – who is married to Migos star Offset – took to Twitter this week to post a no-make-up video with no filter and her natural unbrushed hair on display.
And Cardi insisted she has “never been afraid of showing” her “real self”, as she slammed those who try to “bring [her] down” when she is having success.
She captioned a video on Twitter: “When they see me doing good they try everything they can to bring me down .Talk about my face or talk about my marriage w.e they can.On the wake up ,no filter ,hair un brushed IDGAF .I feel great ! And I never been afraid of showing my real self . (sic)”
The 28-year-old rapper recently asked her followers for skincare advice for her breakout and she’s now insisted the “little blemishes” on her face won’t stop her from feeling “good”.
She said in the clip: “This is me without no makeup. No filter. You can see all the little blemishes on my face. S*** you can see my lips all chapped. I’ve been biting it all night. I just woke up 20 minutes ago. Didn’t even brush my hair. Like I feel good! (sic)”
Cardi added: “I just want to let y’all know that I feel comfortable in my skin, that I’m great, that I’m happy. My record is doing great and just because you got so much hatred in your heart when I do great, y’all want to put it down, you can’t. Ima stay on top with this face, with this natural face, makeup or not, a b**** is doing good. (sic)”
Last month, the ‘WAP’ hitmaker took to the micro-blogging app to seek recommendations for her “extremely dry” skin and spots from her millions of followers.
The Grammy-winner explained that she tried a number of products, including those by brands such as Clinique and CeraVe, but they either did not work or gave her a bad reaction.
She wrote: “I been breaking out lately and my face is extremely dry.I don’t think these products are working.I think it’s the water out here …..What are some good products for little black heads break outs and dry skin on your face ? (sic)”
Alongside a close-up of the side of her face, she added: “This is my cheek…It’s been happening for like 3 months now …S*** really is uncomfortable. (sic)”

Hayley Kiyoko: Perfume is my armour

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayley Kiyoko sees perfume as her “armour”.
The 29-year-old singer made her first fragrance, Hue, available for pre-orders on Friday (05.02.21) and has said she has always been obsessed with smelling good ever since she was a child.
Hayley – who is a lesbian – admitted she used the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea eau de toilette when she was still “in the closet” as a teenager, because she knew that even if she faced rejection she would still “smell good”.
She explained: “Growing up, I was in the closet and faced a lot of rejection and personal rejection. I don’t know if you remember Elizabeth Arden Green Tea? That was my armour.
“Every day I would wake up and spray way too much all over my body, and that was my confidence. I knew even if I were to be rejected by a crush or something else outside of my power, I was going to at least smell good, or I was going to be complimented like ‘Oh my gosh, what are you wearing? You smell so good.’ And those were little moments that I lived for, and they were massive moments when I look back.”
Hayley said she wanted her own fragrance to reflect the gender-neutral scent of “armour”, and also opened up on the process of putting together the perfume, which she said was “challenging and complicated”.
The ‘Girls Like Girls’ singer told Vogue magazine: “I had no idea how challenging and complicated making a perfume would be.”
And she went on to compare making perfume to songwriting, saying: “The way you rearrange the chords create a positive feeling or a negative feeling or a sad feeling or a longing feeling, so it took about 10 rounds to just get the chords, then it took about 20 rounds to get the right combination of the chords, and then I would say the final round was adjusting specific notes within the chords.
“You have an idea or a dream of what the song is going to be, and you don’t know how to create the feeling, you just have to keep creating until you feel it. It’s kind of the same thing with perfume, where you know the end result, but you don’t know what the combination is going to be.”

Jameela Jamil sells clothes to support refugees

OHMYGOSSIP — Jameela Jamil is selling her designer clothes to support refugees.
The 34-year-old actress has partnered with fashion resale site Vestiaire Collective to sell some of her designer pieces to raise money for Choose Love – a non-profit charity providing refugees with food, housing and legal assistance.
She has listed a number of items for sale, including the Matthew Williamson dress she wore on her first date with partner James Blake, along with a Lulu Guinness bag, Jeffrey Campbell boots and Chanel wool suit jacket that has been listed for £746.
Jameela said: “This Chanel suit was my first-ever vintage buy and has been my favourite suit for all my important meetings. It makes me feel like Jackie O.”
It comes after ‘The Good Place’ star previously revealed she thinks about her “plural” selves whilst getting ready for a red carpet event as she believes her fashion choices should represent how she feels on a daily basis.
She said: “I think about looking like my-selves — plural. We have so many different facets to ourselves. All the different characters that live within me come out, day-to-day, in my clothes, so fashion really becomes about, ‘Who do you feel like being today?’ ”
However, Jameela admits she often wears oversized clothing as an “armour” to stop people from looking at and judging her body.
She explained: “Normally when I’m wearing a suit, I’m wearing it as armour. I often wear a baggy suit, and I’m deliberately wearing it to be released from my gender, and from anyone speculating at my body shape. It’s asexual and focused. “I just want to look like a very chic brain, you know? I don’t need people looking at my body all the time, but I do want them to say, ‘She looks cool,’ and I want to feel cool. But I’ll also wear a tight dress and allow my body a moment. Just a moment!”

Gisele Bündchen quits IMG Models

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen has reportedly left IMG Models after 22 years.
According to The New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column, the 40-year-old supermodel has decided to leave the agency to take her representation in-house with her twin sister Patricia, who already works as her manager, now taking responsibility.
Gisele is yet to announce the move but previously revealed she would be retiring from modelling and has since remained active in the fashion industry.
It comes after IMG Models welcomed poet Amanda Gorman and Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, in the past month in the wake of Joe Biden’s inauguration.
A source told the publication: “It’s been a hot January as new faces and fresh blood are coming into the modelling industry.”
Gisele was seen supporting her husband Tom Brady at the Super Bowl on Sunday (07.02.21) donning a Tampa Bay jumper emblazoned with the Buccaneers logo and “Go Bucs!”. She teamed her shirt with a black mask with Tom’s number 12 in red.
The 43-year-old quarterback claimed his seventh Super Bowl win as his Tampa Bay Buccaneers team beat the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the showpiece NFL final at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Tom celebrated his victory with his wife and children, Jack, 13, 11-year-old Benjamin and eight-year-old Vivian
And Vivian stole the show during the post-game celebrations with the youngster seen jumping up and down on stage during the trophy presentation, as well as grabbing handfuls of confetti and throwing it at her brothers.
And after Tom was handed the trophy, Vivian reached out for it and he eventually passed it over to her – meaning she got to hold the award before many of her dad’s teammates had touched it.
During the presentation, the sportsman was asked about getting to enjoy the victory with his kids.
He said: “They started off about this big, and now look at ’em. So I’m trying to stop the little clock right now, but it will be nice to celebrate with them, too.”
Tom’s wife Gisele Bundchen – the mother of his younger two children – shared video footage on her Instagram Story of all three kids celebrating the win from their suite within the stadium, with both boys wearing replicas of their dad’s jersey.
