Kris Jenner to launch her own beauty empire?

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner is reportedly set to launch her own beauty business.
The 65-year-old ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’  matriarch looks set to follow in the footsteps of her daughters Kylie Jenner, 23, and Kim Kardashian West, 40, who run KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin respectively.
TMZ reports that Kris has filed documents to trademark Kris Jenner Beauty, Kris Jenner Skin and Kris Jenner Skincare.
Meanwhile, Kylie previously mocked her mom’s make-up skills.
The beauty mogul was less than impressed with her mother’s glam – describing it as more like something her young daughter Stormi, who was two at the time, would do, as Kris helped to apply red lipstick on Kylie’s lips.
In the YouTube video last year for Kylie’s channel, the reality star admitted she was “terrified” about the prospect of Kris doing her make-up, but she assured: “We’re bringing back the 80s. You just sit back and relax.”
It was all going fairly well – until the lipstick came into play.
She said: “I want to go very dramatic.”
Before Kris joked back: “It’s like Stormi is doing your lips … Don’t look. Please don’t look. It’s not like you’re going to the Met Gala. You’re gonna be fine.”
After it was all done, Kris stepped back and admired her handiwork.
Addressing the camera, she said: “This is my look for Kylie Jenner and I’m calling it ‘glamorous daytime.'”
Kylie liked the blush and eyeshadow but branded her eyebrows “silly” and criticised her powdering skills.
However, she admitted she was “pleasantly surprised” and would go out in it if she “absolutely had to”.
Meanwhile, Kylie previously confessed she was thankful when she was younger to have her mother on hand to offer her skincare advice.
She said: “My first experience was definitely with face wash! I went through that typical teenage stage and needed a good, simple face wash for day and night. My mom really helped me navigate through all of that – and she knew exactly what products to buy having done it so many times with my older sisters!”

Ashley Graham shows fans what her skin looks like under a magnifying glass

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham has shown her fans what her skin looks like under a magnifying glass.
The 33-year-old model took to Instagram to post a video of her complexion up close through the looking glass during a visit to New York City facialist Mzia Shiman’s spa this weekend.
She said in the clip: “This isn’t a filter.”
Before adding with an evil laugh: “It’s a magnifying glass.”
The trip to the spa for a facial comes after the catwalk beauty recently admitted her postpartum hair loss was a “shock to the system” and revealed she swears by retinol for helping to reduce redness caused by acne.
She said: “My whole hairline fell out four months postpartum, so that was a shock to my system. Then I got back acne, and I was like, what is happening? So, I reached out to all my mommy friends. They’re like, oh yeah, it’s so typical. I just started adding a little bit of retinol here and there. So, my skin has changed, and I’m working on reducing the redness.”
Ashley – who has teamed up with tanning brand St. Tropez to launch the Ultimate Glow Kit – also shared some of her self-tanning tips.
She said: “It’s all about the prep. You have got to exfoliate, and if you’re a shaver, shave. Then it’s all about the lotion. Ensure you do the whole hand into the hand’s heel, elbows, knees, feet on the bottom, and the back. You want to use a light lotion, not something that’s super thick. Then when you’re applying the tanner, make sure you go in a slow-motion upward because my ultimate glow kit dries instantly, within seconds. It’s not streaky, but you always want to use a mitt.
To get to the middle part of your back, that’s hard to get; you want to use the Face Purity Mist. It’s for your face, but if you spray it on your back and that area, you will have a tan back. I take a little bit of a lukewarm shower in the morning because I’m not looking to fry the tan. There’s no transfer throughout the middle of the night, I see nothing on my sheets, and then boom, you have the ultimate glow.”

Ashley Graham likes her lips to pop on Zoom

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham likes to make her lips “pop” on Zoom.
The 33-year-old model likes to accentuate her lips when she’s taking video meetings.
She told Marie Claire: “If I’m hopping on a Zoom and I’m in a meeting-meeting, I’ll wear make-up. I’ll put on some chunky, beautiful mascara or I’ll do a lip. My favourite is a lip liner by Revlon in Nude, with Brazilian Tan lipstick on top. When you’re on a Zoom, you only kind of see one thing that pops out, so why not my lips?”
Ashley – who has baby son Isaac, 13 months, with husband Justin Ervin – also revealed she follows a nighttime hair and beauty routine to ensure she is prepared for the next day.
She shared: “I take my shower and prep my hair at night. I wash it, part it in the middle, and spray John Frieda Dream Curls in it and go to sleep with wet hair. I’ve been using that since I was 15. I also love to do a mousse self-tanner at night. I put on St. Tropez bronzing mousse, then do my night routine with Isaac. And when I’m done with that—and after I’ve answered my last emails of the night— I hop back in the shower and rinse it off really quick, lotion, then go to bed. My beauty regimen really starts at night to prep me for the next day.”
And Ashley believes a self-care routine is crucial for her to be a better mum for her son and tries to incorporate a rigorous beauty regime and exercise into each day.
She explained: “I think self-care now is more important than it was before, not even just because of the pandemic but because I’m a mom. I’ve really been diligent about yoga, working out, my beauty regimen, acupuncture, massages. Even if I’m not doing it as often as I was before the baby, I’m making the time for it in my calendar. Isaac needs a very well taken care of mommy so he can be taken care of as well.”

Madison Beer thanks her skin while applying skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Madison Beer says her skincare routine is her way of “thanking her skin and body for protecting” her. The 21-year-old singer was never big on taking care of her skin until her acne cleared up in quarantine, and now she uses her time applying products to appreciate how hard her “body and heart” is working.Speaking to Vogue, she said: “It’s interesting, you’d think having acne would make you want to get into skincare, but it actually made me really scared of it because it would hurt and I would be terrified that it was gonna make it worse. So, I stopped messing with it when I was going through that. “And then, I would say quarantine, mentally I was going through a really tough time so it was my way of spending time with myself at the end of the day and like, I’ll thank my body and my heart for working so hard. And I think skincare’s a big part of that because I’m thanking my skin and my body for protecting me.”The ‘Selfish’ hitmaker confessed she spends the majority of her days make-up-free, because she is “too lazy” most of the time to apply glam. She continued: “I feel like I’ve started getting into make-up a bit more in the last two years. I actually never thought I was good at it, to be honest with you. And I used to have eyelash extensions and I used to not really care to wear make-up because that felt make-up-y to me. So, I didn’t really wear any make-up. 99% of my days I don’t wear any make-up at all. I’m just too lazy, to be frank. But when I’m in the mood and I have time to do a full-full face, I will because I like doing make-up.”Madison also insisted certain beauty trends can be daunting, but her make-up artist has given her the “confidence” to experiment. She added: “I don’t really ever nose contour because, again, fearful of the unknown. I have no idea what I’m doing ever when it comes to that. But this is something my make-up artist has given me confidence over the past few years to be able to do.”

Saweetie keeps a mood board for hair, nails, make-up and fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Saweetie has an “ongoing mood board” for hair, nails, make-up and fashion.
The 27-year-old rapper – who has just curated her own SinfulColors nail polish collection – is just as popular for her nail designs as she is her music and revealed she gets all her ideas from social media.
She told Allure: “Social media. I have an ongoing mood board of just hair, nails, beauty, fashion, make-up, outfits, you name it. So I have something that I always refer back to, and [the graphic jelly nail set] has been on my mood board for quite a while. I was so happy to finally do that.”
Asked what her top three favourite nail looks are, she replied: “Oh, my top three, it would definitely be my brown marble nails, the graphic jelly nail set, and my birthday nails that had the internet in a frenzy — like super long, like three, four-inch nails.”
The ‘My Type’ star admitted it’s a “full circle” moment working with SinfulColors as she used to wear their polishes when she was a kid.
She said: “It’s exciting. I remember growing up, I think my favorite SinfulColors [shades] were the hot pink and turquoise. I would do hot pink on one hand and then turquoise on the other. So it’s definitely a full circle childhood moment.”
And Saweetie even created her own nail art designs when she was younger and would offer her services to girls at her school.
She shared: “I started loving nail art in high school, but I used to get colours like hot pink and turquoise from SinfulColors. Then, I got a paintbrush. I’d pour the paint out and do designs on my hands. I remember in college trying to figure out new ways to make money. Girls would come to my dorm and I would do designs on their nails.”

Ashley Graham is ‘obsessed’ with her Squatty Potty

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham is “obsessed” with her Squatty Potty.
The 33-year-old model – who welcomed her first child, son Isaac, with husband Justin Ervin into the world in January – has found the special stool, which raises the user’s knees above their hips to put them into a squat-like position while going to the toilet, to be life-changing.
Asked if she’s bought any mind-blowing products, she said: “Do you know what I want to say? I am obsessed with my Squatty Potty. You have no idea. I love it so much. Do you have a Squatty Potty? You really should. It’s something that many people aren’t talking about that I feel like it’s super necessary. It’s essential to eliminate, it’s good for your gut, it’s good for your system, and the Squatty Potty only helps. I have a bamboo one at my house. Very chic.”
The Squatty Potty is commonly used for pelvic floor issues and helps keep constipation at bay.
Meanwhile, the catwalk beauty admitted her postpartum hair loss was a “shock to the system” and revealed she swears by retinol for helping to reduce redness caused by acne.
Speaking to ELLE USA magazine, she said: “My whole hairline fell out four months postpartum, so that was a shock to my system. Then I got back acne, and I was like, what is happening? We were hit with various delays due to Covid-19 but we are finally here. Drew Barrymore didn’t feel ‘very confident’ with her short hairstyle at the 1998 Oscars

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore didn’t feel “very confident” with her hairstyle at the 1998 Oscars.
The 45-year-old actress has admitted at the time she was insecure about her short choppy tresses with daisies, but now she looks back at the snaps taken at the prestigious awards ceremony and loves her whole look, which was completed with a “ton of body glitter”, a brick red lip and a little black dress.
She admitted: “I didn’t feel very confident with this haircut, but now looking back on it, I love it. This was before there was so much scrutiny about everybody’s hair, make-up, and wardrobe, and I thought that I should wear what I wore in normal life to the Academy Awards. So I picked up some Marguerite daisies from the bodega and put on a ton of body glitter. I’m also a huge fan of a brick red lip because it really warms up your face. I can only imagine what people would have said about this look today.”
Elsewhere, Drew revealed she “fought really hard” for Cinderella to be brunette in ‘Ever After: A Cinderella Story’.
The ‘Blended’ star wanted her character Danielle in the 1998 American romantic drama – which was inspired by the fairytale character – to not be a “beautiful creature with blonde allure” and she was made up when the studio allowed her to make the call.
She told ELLE for their ‘Legends Only’ series:  “I fought really hard for Cinderella in ‘Ever After’ to be a brunette – and I am really lucky because the studio let me make the call on it. All past versions of this story are about this beautiful creature with blonde allure, but I wanted this one to be about someone who was both smart and capable. And it worked out really well, because the stepsister Marguerite, ended up being a blonde..The front is my natural hair, but then it’s braided into a really long piece. It was the best way to keep my natural hairline while still having the super-long hair.”

Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie line valued at $1 billion

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty lingerie line is now worth $1 billion (£719 million).
A second round of funding for the brand secured a whopping $115 million (£82.7 million) for Savage X Fenty, with L Catterton, a private equity firm that fashion house LVMH has a stake in, taking out a stake in the line.
In a joint statement, LVMH and Rihanna told WWD: “Following the completion of the fundraising round where L Catterton took a stake in Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirmed their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare, and lingerie.”
Last year, Savage X Fenty saw revenue growth of more than 200% and “increased its active VIP member base by more than 150%.”
The line was launched in 2018 and is anticipated to be the market’s leader by 2025.
As well as a successful lingerie business, Rihanna has lucrative Fenty Skin and Fenty Beauty lines.
However, the clothing arm of the Fenty empire was recently put “on hold”.
The ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker launched the luxury fashion line in 2019 with LVMH.
However, after two years, they made the joint decision to close down the fashion business to focus on cosmetics and lingerie.
In a statement issued last week, LVMH said: “Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions. Following the completion of a fundraising round where L Catterton has taken a stake into Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of [the] Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie.”
The Fenty clothing label was tailored to the high-end market, whereas Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty is more affordable.
The last collection was in November and saw Rihanna team up with popular designer Amina Muaddi on a range of heels.
Upon the launch of Fenty clothing, the 32-year-old star had insisted: “I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it. I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that.”

The actress debuted her shaven head in July and got a buzzcut with the slogan on the back of her head in January.
During an Instagram Live, in which she thanked her hairstylist LaMarr Randle for her new look, she said: “I’ve always wanted something cool on my head. Jaden and others have curated a collection of 100 rare pieces to go on sale, meaning fans can bag themselves a piece of clothing worn by the ‘Summertime in Paris’ star.
Jaden – who launched the eco-friendly company JUST Water in 2015 – commented: “I appreciate Grailed’s perspective on fashion and their forward-thinking ability to not only make high fashion more accessible but also encourage people to shop in a truly sustainable way by purchasing recycled fashion.”

Kate Moss loathed ‘heroin chic’ label

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss loathed being branded “heroin chic”.
The 47-year-old supermodel was among a group of models in the early 1990s who were branded “heroin chic”, the then-popularised term for skinny and pale women with dark circles under their eyes.
Kate – whose 18-year-old daughter Lila has followed her into the modelling business – was also called anorexia and admitted it’s “unfair” that some models today are criticised for being skinny, because they might be able to eat what they want and not gain any weight.
Kate told Reader’s Digest: “In the early days I became linked with the phrase ‘heroin chic’, which I always thought was awful.
“There is no positive interpretation of that and I certainly never felt one.
“At the end of the day I was always thin and small and no amount of eating would put weight on me.
“I see models now who are similar to me and sometimes the criticism they get is unfair because – up to a certain age at least – there are some of us who can just eat what we want without too many real consequences.
“That definitely changes in later life though, as I found out after the birth of my daughter Lila.”
Kate, who had a reputation as a party girl, previously insisted being called anorexic was “more upsetting” than the “heroin chic” label.
Speaking in 2013, she said: “It was horrible, especially the anorexic thing.
“The heroin, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s just ridiculous I don’t do heroin. Just because I wear a bit of black eyeliner that’s smudged’.
“But the anorexic thing was a lot more upsetting, to be held responsible for somebody’s illness. I wasn’t anorexic.”
While she also previously spilled that her fellow supermodels of the 1990s, such as Naomi Campbell and Helena Christensen, used to lead her astray and get her “in trouble”.
Asked if her peers used to give her advice, she said: “Yes. They’d say, ‘Kate, you don’t have to go to rehearsal for the show – come with us for dinner!’ They were so naughty. They got me in trouble.”

Lil Uzi Vert had intended for his $24m pink diamond to be a ring not a forehead implant

OHMYGOSSIP — Lil Uzi Vert had intended for the $24 million pink diamond implanted in his forehead to be worn as a ring.
The heavily-pierced-and-tattooed rapper recently shocked fans when he revealed he was getting the widely expensive jewel from Elliot Eliantte, which he’s been paying off for almost five years, pierced into his head.
And now the 26-year-old star has explained that the only reason he had the weird body modification was because he couldn’t trust himself not to lose it if he’d had the diamond set into a ring.
During a discussion with fellow rapper Fat Joe on IGTV, he said: “I’m Lil Uzi. I’m turnt up. So $24 million on a ring is the stupidest idea because I’m gonna look down and that ring ain’t gon’ be there … I know me. I wake up in odd places and different sceneries.”
Lil Uzi was warned several times that it was risky to have the implant.
He added: “Don’t think it was just a ‘come on, let’s go get his money.’ No, bro, they argued me down. It’s almost insane to the average person, or to any person.”
The ‘Money Longer’ star had shared that the natural diamond, which is “10 almost 11 carats”, is more expensive than the price of all his sports cars and home combined.
He had tweeted: “I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now . This one Stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond. A lot of M’s in my face. (sic)”
When one follower asked if the diamond is more expensive than his rides, he replied: “Yes my Bugatti can’t even pay for it … all my cars together ,plus home, this took so long now I can get this money (sic)”

My workout line is really comfortable, really soft. You want to feel good in it because I feel like when you look good, you feel good.”The 48-year-old star’s upcoming spring/summer 2021 collection was inspired by her desire to create the “perfect” sports bra, after years of struggling to find the right fit.She said: “You know how all the sports bras are really short underneath your boobs? I went a little longer with mine because sometimes if you want to stay in your workout outfit all day — if you’re running around — you can’t run around with a sports bra. “I always was looking for that perfect sports bra top — like I didn’t want the short one, I didn’t want the real long one, I wanted the perfect length.”Teresa got her daughters, Gia, 20, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11 – whom she has with ex-husband Joe Giudice – to give her their honest opinion of the pieces before they went into production. She added: “I flew out to California and I met with the owner and the designers and I sat with them and created the whole line. They sent me the deck sheet after I went to go design it, and [my daughters] weighed on it, like they told me what they liked, what they didn’t like and I made changes based on what they told me. They’re going to be wearing it, so I wanted to hear what they had to say.”

John Legend keen to start his own fashion line

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend has “considered” starting his own fashion line.
The 42-year-old singer – who has a penchant for suave fitted suits – hasn’t found the time to branch out with his own clothing range yet, but hasn’t ruled it out if the “right collaboration” comes along.
Asked if he wants to have his own apparel line one day, John told WWD.con: “I’ve always considered it but I’ve been so busy doing other things, it hasn’t been the first priority…yet. “Again, I love collaborating with other artists and I see fashion as an art form. I don’t claim to be an artist in that sense, but I do have my own taste and my own sensibility and if the right collaboration came along, I would be interested.”
The ‘All of Me’ hitmaker is set to launch his first men’s shoe collection with Sperry later this year, and has loved getting to interact more with the fashion world.
He explained: “I’ve always had an interest in fashion — it’s part of my job in some ways — but it’s also been something I’ve taken a lot more interest in as I’ve developed in my career as an artist. There’s just so much interaction with the fashion community and I have so much respect for what they do. So when Sperry offered me the opportunity to collaborate and try to bring our worlds together, I thought it was a great idea and a great way to build our partnership.”
Elsewhere, the father-of-two insisted both himself and his 35-year-old model wife, Chrissy Teigen – with whom he has Luna, four, and Miles, two – love “expressing” themselves “through fashion” and working with designers on their looks.
