Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Judi Dench, and more back Stella McCartney’s fur protest

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Judi Dench and Nathalie Emmanuel have voiced their support for Stella McCartney and the Humane Society’s campaign to end the use of fur for fashion.
A number of famous faces donned animal disguises to back the protest against the fur trade.
The 49-year-old fashion designer, animal rights activist, and environmentalist appeared alongside her Beatles legend dad in one clip encouraging people to “sign up” to the petition.
Referencing the iconic band’s hit ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’, the Instagram video is captioned: “We get by with a little hop from our friends!
“Join us in creating a cruelty-free society by signing @HSIGlobal’s petition on Stella’s World (link in bio).
“#OurTimeHasCome #StellaMcCartney #MaryMcCartney #PaulMcCartney.”
Screen legend Dench appeared with a bird head and shared a devastating statistic surrounding the breeding of animals for their fur.
She said: “Every year, 100 million animals are bred and killed for their fur to supply the fashion industry.”
After removing the headpiece, the ‘Casino Royale’ star continued: “I’m Judi Dench and I’ve long been an advocate of animal rights.
“Please, will you join Stella McCartney and me and sign a petition? Don’t let them use fur. Please join us.”
British actress Nathalie added in her video message: “Our time has come! Animals are our equals!”
Stella has insisted it’s her “life mission” to give her industry “a conscience” when it comes to the materials they choose to use and how they source them.
She said recently: “Whether it’s sold here in the UK or farmed globally, barbarism knows no borders, and this effort is key to my life’s mission of bringing a conscience to the fashion industry. I am proud to partner with Human Society International. Please join us in ending this horrendous practice.”
It comes after the activist vowed to “drive change” in the fashion industry to create a “cruelty-free society” for generations to come, and was among those to sign Prince Charles’ Terra Carta Transition Coalitions for a sustainable future at the G7 Summit in Cornwall.

Cindy Crawford: Kaia changed my beauty routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Crawford’s daughter impacted her beauty routine.
The 55-year-old supermodel – who has Kaia, 19, and Presley, 21, with her husband Rande Gerber – changed her outlook on beauty after watching her daughter experiment with her look.
She told People: “What I love about Kaia and that whole generation is they are much more willing to experiment. She’s not afraid to be like, ‘I’m going to cut my hair. I’m going to dye it pink. I’m going to put in super-long extensions’. And it reminds me that this whole beauty industry, it should not be another thing that makes women feel ‘less than’.”
Now, Crawford experiments with different looks to help her feel empowered and boost her confidence.
She continued: “The whole point of it is to empower us. It’s the tool that gives us confidence. Like if you want to try a smokey eye one night or a dark eye or a liquid liner – I mean, I’m terrible at that so I wouldn’t try that myself – but [beauty is] supposed to be fun.”
What’s more, Crawford – who launched Meaningful Beauty in 2005 – hopes that her beauty line is helping other women to feel empowered
She added: “If we’re lucky we get to age. That is a privilege. But it’s also very daunting for women [to think], ‘Okay, what’s going to happen?’
“With skin care, my approach has been ‘age-maintenance’. Gravity’s still out there and things are going to happen, but let me take as good care of my skin as I can. And I just want women to know that it’s okay, with the skin care and now with the hair care, to give yourself this little gift [of self-care] for five minutes in the morning or five minutes in the evening.”

Charli D’Amelio: I’m kind to myself on bad skin days

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli D’Amelio is “kind” to herself on bad skin days.
The 17-year-old TikTok star suffers from the occasional acne breakout but has learned to be gentle with her skin by following a simple cleansing routine.
She told Refinery29: “I definitely have my good and bad skin days, like everyone. I struggle with the occasional acne breakout here and there. But in general, I try and just keep it simple and be kind to myself if I am having a bad skin day.
“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve started paying more attention to my skin. I used to just wash my face in the shower, but I’ve recently been finding more and more products that I like that my skin really likes.”
Charli has tried a few beauty products to help clear her skin but her all-time favourite product is the Cera-ve moisturiser she uses every day.
She explained: “Cera-Ve moisturizer has changed my skin; I use it every single day.”
The social media influencer also likes to keep her makeup simple, saying: “In my everyday routine, I love Morphe2’s Hint Hint Skin Tint for a light coverage, their tinted brow gel, and a liquid or cream blush.”
However, Charli is more than happy to splurge on hair care products as she uses Davine’s OI Shampoo and a $40 OI Conditioner.
She claimed: “I love Davine’s OI Shampoo and OI Conditioner. It makes my hair feel so healthy and shiny.”
What’s more, the reality star likes to “disconnect” after a long day of engaging with her fans and making videos for TikTok.
She said: “At the end of my day, I usually take a shower, wash my hair, lay in bed and watch TV for hours. Really. That’s what I do. I feel like TV is another way to disconnect from reality and that’s something that I do all of the time.”

Meadow Walker felt “lucky” to grow up without beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Meadow Walker felt “lucky” to grow up without beauty.
The 22-year-old model – who is the daughter of the late ‘Fast and Furious’ star Paul Walker – was raised by her dad, who didn’t make her aware of the beauty industry until she discovered makeup and fashion in her teens.
She told Vogue: “I was quite a tomboy growing up. The way I was raised, especially with my dad, there wasn’t a focus on [makeup]. We would do boys’ activities, roll around in the mud, play soccer and just be crazy. So, it wasn’t until I was a bit older that I discovered magazines, fashion and seeing models such as Kate Moss, and being like, ‘She’s really beautiful.’
“Nowadays, makeup is much more common in young girls’ lives. It’s kind of hard to avoid. I was lucky to grow up in the way that I did because it didn’t affect how I saw myself.”
Now, Meadow has a minimal approach to beauty as she rarely wears makeup and feels more comfortable with a fresh face.
She explained: “I don’t wear makeup at all, except when I’m shooting something. I’m into clean beauty and organic products, but it’s mostly just skin care. I like to wear a natural organic highlighter or blush and maybe a lip balm or stain. I like to curl my eyelashes and brush up my eyebrows with a clear gel, but other than that, makeup isn’t part of my everyday life. For me, personally, I feel more confident not wearing makeup.”
However, the beauty likes to “play a character” when she does wear makeup on photoshoots.
She added: “When I’m on set, or if it’s for work, I feel comfortable. You’re still yourself, but you are also playing a character. I get into my element. I appreciate every aspect of everyone’s vision and creative direction. I love the creative process behind [makeup]. I love asking makeup artists questions and I’m quite knowledgeable about it. But the creative process of it makes it completely different. If I put makeup on myself, or if I’m wearing it for something outside of work, I feel self-conscious—I don’t feel like myself and I won’t take a photo.”

Giorgio Armani: The pandemic has changed how I communicate fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Giorgio Armani thinks the pandemic has changed how he “communicates fashion”.
The 86-year-old fashion designer recently returned for his first fashion show since the pandemic and has realised the lockdown has taught him how to display his shows in different formats.
He told Vogue: “I am not sure if this is the future of fashion, what I know is that what we went through over the past months has been a terrible experience but one that came with a lesson. I think we have learned that we can communicate fashion in a different way. So, for the future I see real shows mixed with digital entertainment for the public who won’t attend the shows, which I hope will be more intimate like they used to be.”
However, the Italian designer hoped the pandemic would make the fashion industry more sustainable but he feels people have forgotten to minimise their waste.
He explained: “The one thing that I would like to change about the system is the overproduction of ‘stuff’; of clothing, of events, of unnecessary things. That really was the main change that I was hoping to see after this pandemic turmoil. But probably, although we all wanted things to change at the beginning, we quickly forgot about those initial good intentions. What I’m seeing now is different and things are almost back to what they were.”
What’s more, Armani has personally learned to stop being a “control freak” in the pandemic as he stopped trying to plan ahead.
He added: “I am a man of habit, but the pandemic has taught me some very important lessons. The main one is that you cannot really plan too much in advance. I don’t mind admitting that I am a control freak, I always needed to plan everything way in advance. But what the pandemic did was to disrupt all of our plans. So, we had to learn to have one look on the long term and another look on the short term, trying to make the best of both. Personally, I have learnt to enjoy things more and to work day by day, not planning too much ahead nor stressing too much. And I have to admit it’s been very healthy for me. I am also committed to staying close to my loved ones as much as possible because you never know what the future will bring.”

Beverly Johnson steals fiance’s razor

OHMYGOSSIP — Beverly Johnson steals her fiance’s razor for smooth skin.
The 68-year-old model – who is engaged to Brian Maillian – thought using her partner’s Harry’s shaving set was her “best-kept secret” for silky legs but then she found out several of her female friends had already discovered the trick.
She told People: “Brian buys Harry’s [sets], and I am always sneaking and using his razor. It leaves your skin really soft. I thought it was one of my best-kept secrets, but then I found out a number of my female friends were hip to it, too.”
Beverly likes to take extra special care of her skin and uses the Retrouvé line to keep her face hydrated in hot temperatures.
She explained: “I don’t know whether it’s age, or because I live in the desert, but Retrouvé has been a lifesaver for my skin. Their whole thing is hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! These [Conditioning Tonic with Chamomile and Baume Ultime] are at the top of my list. This conditioning tonic makes me feel fresh, and the body oil is absolutely fabulous.”
She also uses Retrouvé’s Urban Skin face cleanser at the end of the day to wash away any impurities.
She added: “I use all of the Retrouvé products, but I also like this a lot. After wearing a lot of makeup all day I wash my face with this brightening bar.”
Meanwhile, Beverly recently claimed there’s “no diversity in the upper echelon” of the fashion industry and insisted that the fight against racism within the industry must come from the top down.
She said: “There is no diversity in the upper echelon. None. We don’t have a seat at the table. We have no representation in the fashion world. “On the outside now, you’re seeing Black models and you think we’re getting somewhere. But basically, the economics of the business, we are not participating financially.”

Winnie Harlow unveils PrettyLittleThing collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Winnie Harlow has teased her PrettyLittleThing collection.
The 26-year-old model took to her Instagram Stories to share behind-the-scenes footage of her photoshoot for the upcoming line, which is set to launch on Tuesday (29.06.21).
She headed to the Bahamas to shoot the campaign – which was creatively directed by Teyana Taylor – for her collection that features tie-dye co-ords and a thigh-split dress.
One image sees Winnie posing red bikini top which is teamed with skintight trousers covered with a tie-dye print and another snap shows her donning a criss-cross crop top and tight mustard yellow trousers.
Speaking on the collaboration PLT CEO, Umar Kamani said: “I have been following Winnie’s career for a very long time now and she is the ultimate body positive advocate. I am so delighted we’ve been able to bring this campaign to life and have had Winnie’s involvement from the very start.
“Having Teyana Taylor creatively direct this campaign and be on set with Winnie really enabled us to bring together two powerful females and capture such a vibrant campaign.”
The collection comes after Winnie previously said that all sections of the fashion world need to work together to “take accountability” to ensure that the industry is diverse and she hopes that discussions will continue in the future.
She told WWD: “There is a lot of work to be done in terms of representation and diversity within fashion from behind-the-scenes, to, of course, in front of the camera, from the CEO’s, to the designers, and all the way to entry-level whether it’s a new model or whoever is being hired. I also think that everyone in the fashion industry needs to take accountability so that real change can happen…
“Diversity is an everyday thing. It’s not a one-off thing or a trend. I’m hopeful that these discussions are currently being held. We just need to keep the dialogue going.”

Rita Moreno slams critics of her provocative style

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Moreno has slammed critics of her provocative style.
The 89-year-old actress revealed she hated the sex symbol status she received in the 50s and has now claimed her tight dresses and makeup should never have warranted the unwanted attention she endured.
She told Yahoo News: “I would dress up in a very, very provocative way. I always wore tight, tight little dresses with my cute little bum. Too much makeup, usually. And the earrings and stuff.
“As the #MeToo movement would say right now: ‘Well, f*** them! You can dress any damn way you please. You can wear as many loop earrings, and as low-cut a neck as you want, and that’s also true.”
However, the ‘West Side Story’ star didn’t think to stand up for herself at the time as she believed that was how successful actresses were perceived.
She added: “The truth is, it never occurred to me not to withstand it. I figured, and I was right, that that was how Hollywood was run and how it functioned. And I just went with the flow, as they say, not happily.”
What’s more, Rita revealed she didn’t have a role model when she was younger as there was no one who looked like her.
The Puerto Rico star said: “There was no such thing as a role model — not for children like me. There were no mentors for people like me. Everybody always says, ‘Who supported you? Who helped you?’ Nobody. That’s how it was.”
Now, Rita has paved the way for younger generations and is looking to make changes in Hollywood after the ‘West Side Story’ cast were given just one shade of makeup for the Hispanic actors.
She explained: “There were some people who said they were offended by some of the things they saw in the film. First of all, the makeup was kind of one color for the Hispanics, whereas Puerto Ricans are a mélange of French, Spanish Spain, Dutch and Taíno Indian, which is a copper color.
“I remember saying to my makeup man once on the original ‘West Side Story,’ ‘Why do I have to wear such dark makeup? I’m not that color.'”

Damiano David loved makeup “immediately”

OHMYGOSSIP — Damiano David fell in love with makeup “immediately”.
The ‘Eurovision Song Contest’ winner reunited with presenter Nikkie de Jager for a makeover where he discussed his passion for beauty products after his bandmate Victoria De Angelis introduced him to makeup.
He said in a video clip: “I didn’t know make-up was a thing until 2016. When Victoria gave me an eyeliner, I was like ‘Oh my god, that’s fantastic’ and fell in love immediately.”
Now, Damiano feels more “comfortable” going out with makeup on than he does with a fresh face.
He added: “Since that day, I started wearing makeup even when I was just hanging around with my friends and, in the beginning, they were making fun of me but they got used to it. They understood that it was making me feel more comfortable.”
The Måneskin frontman was joined by his band – including Victoria, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio – who said they try to be themselves despite how others may have pressured them.
Vicotria said: “We think being an example is a big thing. We’re just ourselves, and that’s the message we want to present to others. No one should stop you from being who you feel like you are.”
Meanwhile, the Italian rock band are hoping to collaborate with Miley Cyrus after the singer messaged the group to congratulate them on their success.
Victoria revealed: “Some of the artists we look up to the most texted us saying, ‘Good job guys, we love you.’ “We’ve had messages from Franz Ferdinand and Miley. Yes, Miley Cyrus! “We’ll have to try and convince her [to work with us]. We can send her hundreds of texts on Instagram.”
Miley could be keen to collaborate as just she recently shared Damiano David and guitarist Thomas Raggi’s cover of her hit ‘Midnight Sky’.
She added: “My best friends”.

Vanessa Vanessa Hudgens and Madison Beer launch skincare line

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Hudgens and Madison Beer have launched a skincare line.
The 32-year-old actress has teamed up with the 22-year-old singer to release their Know Beauty line that specialises in DNA personalisation.
Vanessa told BAZAAR.com: “We both have had such a long skincare journey. We were like, ‘There should be an easier way to approach skincare, something that allows you to know what is right for your personal skin, because it’s different for everyone.”
The pair joined forces with dermatologist Karen Kagha to be the brand’s chief medical officer, who helped the girls develop a routine that starts by taking a cheek swab to find the right products.
She explained: “Every day, I am seeing people coming in wanting to know about what they can do for their skin today and for their skin in the future, and that’s where the DNA comes in.
“We’re looking at 46 chromosomes and specifically analyzing seven skin categories. Their results give them information on what their skin is more prone to develop and areas they need to be focusing on in the future.”
After they send back their swab and answer questions about their lifestyle, beauty lovers will be given a personalised selection of cleansers, moisturizers, serums, eye creams, and masks.
The products are filled with proven skincare powerhouses like retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and peptides, and comes in simple packaging.
Although their customers don’t need to purchase a DNA test to use their products, Vanessa claims the test helps to get a deeper understanding of her skin.
She said: “Because having that knowledge is just like having a weight lifted off of your back, to know that what you’re using is actually going to work for you,”
It comes after she spent a fortune on skincare products that left her face scarred but has now found the perfect combination.
The ‘High School Musical’ alum added: “My main things now, because I’m not in my 20s anymore, is perseverance of the skin—skin elasticity, collagen reproduction, and fine lines. Just kind of taking care of the skin that I have, because it’s the only skin that I got.”

Tanaye White found self-love through haircare

OHMYGOSSIP — Tanaye White found “self-love” through her haircare journey.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model decided to revive her curls after years of heat damage, and the process helped her become more comfortable with herself.
She told Glamour: “For pretty much my entire life I was getting my hair straightened with a hot comb. I got my first relaxer at six, so I actually never knew the true texture of my hair until I cut it all off in December 2016.
“I was just ready for a change and had been slowly growing out the relaxer so I could already see little curls coming in. I was like, ‘Okay, let me just go full throttle.’ And it has definitely been a journey of self-love in and of itself.”
Now, the 28-year-old beauty has created the perfect wash day routine using a rice water treatment to help strengthen her hair.
She explained: I set aside either Sundays or Mondays, always washing my hair at least once a week. If I have a photo shoot where I have a lot of extra products in my hair, I might even do it twice.
“I wash the rice, then I’ll soak it for two to three days. I like to add an orange peel in it just to make sure the smell doesn’t get too bad. Then, before I go through my wash and conditioning process, I spray the water in my hair section by section and let it sit in my hair for one to two hours before rinsing out.”
What’s more, Tanaye used the coronavirus pandemic to “master” styling her baby hairs and is determined to help others achieve the look.
She added: “During quarantine, I was able to master the art of baby hairs—adult hairs that just happen to be small and in the front of your head.
“For lot of girls who have 4C hair, I feel like they think they can’t achieve the look because they feel like it’s for a specific texture. And I want to combat that idea, because it’s not true.”

Charli D’Amelio: Eyeliner is complicated

OHMYGOSSIP — Charli D’Amelio thinks eyeliner is “complicated”.
The 17-year-old TikTok star struggles to apply eyeliner in her makeup routine and swaps the tricky product for a simple eyeshadow.
She told Glamour: “There’s something about eyeliner—just because I’m still learning how to do it. I feel like it’s too complicated. With my eye shape, it just never looks right. That’s why I literally just put eye shadow under my eyes with a little stick shadow. When other people do it on me, it looks great, so it must be a me problem.”
Instead, ‘The D’Amelio Show’ star swears by lip gloss, blush and an eyelash curler to create the best look.
Asked what are her three best beauty products, she said: “Oh my goodness, that’s hard. I think it would be a blush, an eyelash curler, and probably a lip gloss. I like the Morphe 2 Lip Oil in Flutter, since it has a little bit of a red tone, which is pretty. I have very dark eyelashes, so I don’t technically need mascara for them to really pop, which is super awesome, I’m very thankful for that—my Italian genes coming through. When I curl my eyelashes, they are very long as well, thanks to castor oil, which is another tip: Use castor oil on your eyelashes and they grow.”
What’s more, the social media influencer learned how to apply makeup after watching her mum do her makeup ahead of her dance competitions.
She added: “My mom taught me how to do all of my makeup because I was a [dance] competition kid. No one wants to be doing a five-year-old’s makeup at six in the morning, so I learned how to do my own makeup very quickly. I really learned from watching her do mine and watching her do her own—I would go to her vanity and learn how to use all of her products, and she took me to Bed Bath and Beyond. I was like “Mom, I’m starting middle school, I need my own products that aren’t my dance makeup.” And she got me some, and she was very helpful and never let me leave the house looking crazy. So I’m very thankful for her.”

Becky G launches beauty line

OHMYGOSSIP — Becky G created her beauty line to “empower” others.
The 24-year-old singer decided to launch her Treslúce Beauty collection with an assortment of vibrant eye products to help beauty lovers recreate makeup trends that make them feel “welcome” in the beauty space.
She told People: “Growing up on the internet, it wasn’t always the nicest place,” Becky shares. “Sometimes beauty trends can make you feel like you’re not ‘cool enough’ or ‘pretty enough’ to pull off a look … we really need to empower each other more in the beauty space.
“That’s why I created the ‘I Am Palette,’ so people always feel welcome and empowered when they’re interacting with our projects.”
The ‘Ram pam pam’ hitmaker decided to pay homage to her Latinx heritage within her collection by choosing her favourite affirmations in English and Spanish, including “Hustle,” “Grateful,” “Poderosa,” which translates to “Powerful” in English and “Divina,” which means “Divine.”
She also chose the name Treslúce as it pulls two Spanish words: “Tres,” which means three, and “Luce,” a slang term to compliment someone’s appearance.
Becky infused her eyeshadows with Mexican blue agave sourced from Jalisco, Mexico, where Becky’s grandparents are from.
She explained: “I love tequila, so I thought, ‘How can I put it in makeup?’ It makes the shadow’s consistency smoother, buttery and hydrating.”
What’s more, Becky plans to highlight Latinx activists and artists in her campaigns by using the brand’s platform to amplify issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.
She added: “We want to do things that are outside of the box than what we’ve seen in the beauty industry before, as far as bringing a community aspect to it, and talking about important issues that don’t necessarily have to do with makeup. Our brand’s social awareness is one thing I’m very, very proud of.”

Brooke Shields: I’m vigilant about sun protection

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Shields is “vigilant” about protecting her skin.
The 56-year-old actress had a precancerous mole removed from her lip eight years ago and Brooke has emphasised the importance of sun protection, as she believes it is “never too late” to protect her skin.
She told People magazine: “That was just a very scary diagnosis and the fact that it had to be actually cut out of my lip is a terrifying situation to find yourself in. That’s when I started incorporating [sunscreen] into my daily routine, not just bringing it with me on vacation or in the summer.
“You get really frustrated because it’s considered damage and you think, ‘Oh, I’ve already done it,’ but it’s never too late to start protecting your skin.”
Now, the ‘Suddenly Susan’ star – who has daughters Rowan, 18, and Grier, 15, with husband Chris Henchy – is teaching her children to think about the future of their health after spending a day in the sun.
She explained: “We don’t necessarily think in those terms, preventative.
“I mean, especially for my children, they don’t think anything about a future. They just think about themselves in the present now and trying to teach them things like exercise, things like sun protection. And all of those things that we moan and groan about are actually serving you for the future.”
Brooke has incorporated three SPF products into her daily routine to help fight sun damage but she claims she doesn’t have a “holy grail” product.
Asked what her essential beauty product is, she previously said: “Cleanliness. As long as I keep my skin clean and hydrated. Truthfully, I don’t swear by one particular thing.
“Really it’s anything that errs on the side of not chemicals, something that is super moisturising. But, keeping myself hydrated is the main thing. I’ve noticed that the elasticity that comes from hydration is really what I need.
“Although I love Vitamin C, I’ve noticed that products that have Vitamin C really seem to help keep the dullness out of my skin and refresh it. It doesn’t necessarily matter the brand because I don’t have a favourite yet. I’ve only sort of discovered it recently.”

Dua Lipa didn’t hesitate to change style for Versace shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa “did not hesitate” to change her look for her Versace campaign.
The 25-year-old singer was happy to have a fiery red shade in her hair for the Italian fashion house’s fall 2021 photoshoot, which highlighted Dua’s “passion and strength” through the colour.
Donatella Versace told WWD: “She trusted me when I asked her, she did not hesitate.
“Blonde was banal – even though I am blonde and fiery red is a symbol of passion and strength.”
Dua donned a range of outfits for the shoot, including a head-to-toe cherry-red outfit originally worn by model Mica Arganaraz and a belted sunshine-yellow dress and a bandana, with a bright red Medusa bag.
Sharing snaps of the shoot on Instagram, Dua wrote: “This day will be one I’ll never forget!!! (sic)”
The 66-year-old fashion designer chose the Grammy winner for the campaign as she was fascinated with Dua’s presence and ability to lead women.
She explained: “She hasn’t had it easy, she has fought for what she believed in and for what she has achieved. She reminds me of women in the south of Italy, she leads, she is not led.”
Donatella was also impressed by Dua’s modelling skills as she was able to stand out from the bold colours and dazzling accessories.
She added: “She is very eclectic and nobody told her what to do, she was very instinctive and she interprets the dress, she is not worn by it.”
Meanwhile, Dua recently admitted she learned “less is more” after facing some beauty mishaps when she was younger.
She said: “I look back and think wow I shouldn’t have … I’ve had some foundation mishaps, really dark eyebrow mishaps, I’ve had the confused look a lot. I definitely understand when people say less is more.”

Gigi Hadid fronts Ralph Lauren fragrance

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid stars in Ralph Lauren’s new fragrance campaign.
The 26-year-old model teamed up with Luka Sabbat, Lucky Blue Smith and Fai Khadra for the fashion brand’s new fragrance, Ralph’s Club.
However, things quickly turned hazardous on set when the stars accidentally sprayed perfume into each other’s mouths.
Asked what’s the biggest danger on set, she said; “Spraying each other in the mouth with perfume! Not on purpose, but when you have to spray a lot of fragrance in a room you just end up consuming it. We all turned out fine, but don’t try it at home.”
The new scent was inspired by Ralph Lauren’s “one-night-only” Fall 2019 fashion show, which was set in a swanky 1920s-style “Ralph’s Club.”
Gigi and co recreated “the best night” of their lives in the campaign for the masculine scent, which includes notes of lavender and clary sage, balanced with Virginia cedarwood and Vetiver that represents the shoot’s theme.
Khadra told People: “It brought us all back together after a year and a half of kind of being in lockdown and not really seeing each other. Some of us live in L.A., some of us live in New York … Ralph’s Club brought us all together.”
Meanwhile, Gigi previously revealed that people started to point out that her features, such as her nose, looked different, and she’s explained that ever since she started having a make-up artist do her glam for red carpet events, they contour her face.
She explained: “In high school I wasn’t really a huge make-up person. The more I got photographed, the more I learned what looked good on me. “When I look back on my first red carpets, when I didn’t have make-up artists, I would obviously do my make-up. Now people pull up those pictures and are like, ‘Oh, Gigi’s nose looks different in those pictures than now,’ and it’s really, like, that’s the power of make-up.”
