Gisele Bundchen signs deal with CAA Fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Gisele Bundchen has signed with Creative Artists Agency’s CAA Fashion.
The Brazilian supermodel remains signed to United Talent Agency for her representation outside of the fashion and beauty world but her catwalk career will no longer be handled by IMG models after she decided to move to the entertainment and sports agency’s growing division.
The move reunites Gisele with Anne Nelson, who was her agent for two decades at Elite Model Management and IMG Models.
Anne – who joined CAA Fashion last September – told WWD: “I am thrilled to welcome Gisele to CAA Fashion and look forward to continuing our long history of working together, creating world-class opportunities spanning the multifaceted fashion and beauty industries.”
CAA Fashion launched in 2020 and has a well-established client roster including models Claudia Schiffer, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kate Upton and Leomie Anderson, as well as fashion designer Prabal Gurung, photographer Annie Leibovitz and make-up artist Sir John.
The 41-year-old beauty previously encouraged people to embrace ageing, as although it can be “challenging”, she believes the process is a “beautiful thing and a natural part of life”.
She said: “Age is a beautiful thing and a natural part of life, but it can also be challenging. It’s all a matter of how we look at it. Life is made by so many different experiences that shape who we are.
“The one thing about getting older is that you get more comfortable in your own skin. I love that every year that passes I get to learn new things and have the opportunity to use the tools I have acquired throughout my life to make a positive impact on the world.”
Gisele’s biggest beauty rule is not to sleep in her make-up, no matter how exhausted she is.
Sharing her number one skincare tip, she said: “Definitely never go to bed wearing makeup. I would work such long hours in all different kinds of makeup so the first thing I would do when I finished work was wash my face and make sure to go to sleep with cleansed skin.
“Sometimes I was so tired after working a long day that all I wanted to do was fall into bed, but I always kept an evening cleansing routine! It helped keep my skin looking fresh, no matter how many wild and fun looks I had during the day.”

Brooke Shields loves ‘the ritual’ of skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Shields loves “the ritual” of skincare.
The ‘Blue Lagoon’ star will “try almost anything” when it comes to looking after her face, including facials, treatments and products.
The 56-year-old actress told Vogue’s Beauty Secrets video series: “I just love the ritual. I love getting facials or anything that’s pampering. I’ll try almost anything. I think it’s so fun to try new treatments.”
Brooke explained how she begins her daily beauty regime with the True Botanicals Renew Nourishing Cleanser.
She said: “I’m not afraid to put it everywhere. I like this cleanser because it gets all the dirt, it doesn’t leave any residue, but it is also really gentle on my skin. I used to use really harsh cleansers, because I thought that it was ideal to strip the first layer of skin off, but as I’ve gotten older and that I don’t have that much elasticity in my skin, I realised I needed to be more gentle.”
Due to her nearly lifelong career, which led to her makeup being done by professionals as a child model, Brooke “never really figured” out how to do her own face.
She said: “The crazy thing about makeup is that [because] I’ve been a model since I was 11 months old, I never paid attention to when my makeup was being done. I never really figured out how to do it myself because it was done for me.”
The ‘Castle For Christmas’ star believes when it comes to cosmetics “less is more” for everything – which includes her favourite products The Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette and Grande Cosmetics highlighter – aside from her Thrive Causemetics mascara.
Brooke said: “I can never have too much mascara. There’s something about [it] that I’m just crazy about.”
For her trademark brows, the ‘Pretty Baby’ star fills them in with an eyebrow pencil before sealing their radiance with a wax.

Glossier founder Emily Weiss has to shampoo her hair four times before it is clean

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Weiss has to shampoo her hair four times before it is clean.
The 36-year-old businesswoman – who is CEO of the cosmetics company Glossier – admitted that her favourite shampoo “is a weird” mask that requires several rounds usage to work.
She said: “[My go-to] is actually a shampoo called Christophe Robin Lemon Cleansing Mask. I’ve gone through about 12 jars, it’s my favourite. It’s a weird shampoo – It doesn’t sud so you have to apply and wash it like four times for hair to be really clean – but despite that, I love it.”
Emily – whose company was launched back in 2014 and the brand is now estimated to be worth $1.2bilion – explained that despite the “rigour” of the routine, it can be beneficial to scalp health.
She told Vogue: “Afterwards you don’t need any conditioner and your scalp health is great. It’s rigorous, but it works.”
When it comes to taking out for herself, Emily – who is currently expecting her first child with fiancé and businessman Will Gaybrick – revealed that she unwinds by taking a bath with a “giant bag” of Epsom salts to relax.
She said: “The number one thing that always helps me is taking a bath – so maybe I’m English if I take a bath every night. It’s a transition from daytime to night-time. I get home from work, take a bath, and there’s a real before and after. Straight away my whole body is completely relaxed and I’m in a totally different headspace. I always dump a giant bag of Epsom salts in the bath – they’re cheap and you need a lot of them, not just a scoop. I have so much Epsom salt real estate in my house – that’s the base.”

Cosima doesn’t ‘depend’ on makeup to feel beautiful

OHMYGOSSIP — Cosima doesn’t “depend” on makeup to feel beautiful.
The ‘South of Heaven’ singer grew up with parents that banned her from wearing makeup until she was an adult and therefore she and her sisters had learn how to find other ways to “enjoy themselves” in terms of beauty.
After being asked about ‘the best beauty tip’ she had ever heard, the 28-year-old musician told British Vogue: “I feel like the best beauty tips actually have nothing to do with physical beauty. When we were children, my parents were really strict – we weren’t allowed to wear make-up until we were 18 because they said we had to learn how to enjoy ourselves as we are, in our natural state. Everything else is an add-on. And while I love makeup and beauty because it makes me feel good, I don’t depend on it.”
The Marques Almeida model is “very new to skincare” but is “really into it” after being inspired by the supermodel Christy Turlington.
Cosima said: “I’m very new to skincare, but I’m really into it. The main thing I have to make sure I do first is take out my contact lenses, otherwise it’s the beginning of the end. I’ll wash my face and apply different serums, depending on my skin at the time. If I’ve done a shoot or something I’m always like ‘Can I sleep in this eye make-up?’ – that’s when I find it really hard to take it off. I am also into running ice cubes over my face, especially if I see a picture of Christy Turlington – that’s when I have the urge.”
As well as skincare, the ‘To Build A House’ singer is “getting more into wellness” but struggles with meditation and thinks that her star sign is to blame.
She said: “I’ve been getting more into wellness. I’ve been working out more, but also trying to be a bit more intentional about looking after myself. I’m telling myself that I deserve to be healthy and deserve to take a break. I do breath work during singing practice, but I definitely can’t meditate – I’m a bit too restless for it and can’t be in one place for too long – that’s the Sagittarius in me!”
For her hair, Cosima is “obsessed” with products by Charlotte Mensch, such as the Paddle Brush, Hair by Sam McKnight Modern Hairspray and the “only true beauty ritual” she has – putting olive oil in her tresses.
She said: “When it comes to make-up, I’m super consistent with what I like and use, but with hair and skincare, not so much! I love Charlotte Mensah products, including the brush, as well as Sam McKnight’s hairspray, which I always use on shoots – I’m obsessed with it. When we were children, our dad used to put olive oil into our hair and then wash it out in the morning, so sometimes I like to do that. It’s probably the only true beauty ritual I have.”

Laura Dern didn’t wear foundation to the 2020 Academy Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Dern doesn’t “wear foundation anymore”
The ‘Marriage Story’ star opts for a more pared back look – like when she graced the red carpet at the Academy Awards in 2020 -compared to the beginning of her Hollywood career.
For the beauty retrospective ‘Legends Only’ featurette, the 55-year-old actress told Elle.com: “I’m not wearing foundation here, I don’t use foundation anymore. Just a little coverage, a cheek, some eye, some lip. It’s because of True Botanicals. I fell in love with it because it changed my skin in a way that even on camera with hard lights or on a red carpet, my skin just looked better, healthier, and prettier. Never made up.”
The Academy Award winner was introduced to the True Botanicals Pure Radiance Oil – the product that made her dare to go bare – while working on the HBO series ‘Big Little Lies’ but also showcased her natural beauty in the 1993 Steven Spielberg movie ‘Jurassic Park’.
Prompted by a still from the dinosaur disaster movie, Laura said: “This is all me. No makeup, my hair. I feel really proud to have been part of ‘Jurassic Park’ because it was one of the first few female action characters in a film—and now I am getting to return to the character ‘Jurassic World Dominion’. This role was so physical, and I was doing a lot of running and my own stunts, but they have to make sure the sweat matches in each scene. So they are spraying you with a squirt bottle between takes for continuity.”
The ‘Wild at Heart’ star also praised the “vision” David Lynch created – in collaboration with the makeup team -for the movie’s leading lady Lula – with her Marilyn Monroe-like look – labelling it as a character “statement” and not a “caricature.”
Laura said: “The role of Lula was David Lynch’s vision all the way. David knew that he wanted her to have pale skin, the classic red lip, a beauty mark. The makeup artist, Michelle Bühler, used a pencil to create the beauty mark because it was supposed to be subtle and more of a statement on the character, but not a caricature or something too costumey. It’s this unique kind of style that Lula would create for herself.”

Selena Gomez loves a ‘good morning regime’ when it comes to skincare

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez is all about a “good morning regime” when it comes to skincare.
The ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star gets “really bummed out” if she doesn’t get to do her long routine – which begins by using a Clarisonic brush with the Clarisonic Sonic Radiance Skin Renewing Peel Wash after she wakes up.
The 29-year-old actress told Into The Gloss: “I like to have a good morning regime. I use my Clarisonic in the shower with the Clarisonic Sonic Radiance Skin Renewing Peel Wash. I do that maybe four or five times a week, so my skin has a chance to breathe before all the madness starts.”
Selena strongly advocates for “enough time to pamper yourself” and gets annoyed if she doesn’t have the time to look after her skin.
She said:” When I don’t get a chance to do the whole routine in the morning, it really bums me out. It kind of affects your mood when you don’t take enough time to pamper yourself. When I’m home, I like to wake up at least an hour before I need to just to have coffee and not have makeup on.
After a good cleanse, The Rare Beauty founder loves to then add the Dr Dennis Gross Clinical Concentrate Radiance Booster which Selena suggests is best placed “on your cheekbones and around your eyes” .
For eye cream, Selena thinks the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple remedy “is really great” and “if you get dark circles, it’s the s***.”
She added: “I’ll put it on, it feels all good and cold, go have a coffee, and that’s the bomb.”
The former Disney Channel star also gushed about how “accomplished” the Biore Deep Cleansing Strips make her feel.
Selena said: “The Biore Deep Cleansing Strips make me feel really accomplished when I do them, too—plus they work!”

Florence Pugh favours ‘feeling good’ over wearing designer brands

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh doesn’t care about the branding of her clothes.
The ‘Midsommar’ star – who is the face of American apparel brand J. Crew’s The Art of Getting Dressed campaign – is known to sport designer labels on the red carpet but insisted all that matters is the garments she wears make her “feel good”.
The 26-year-old actress told Elle.com: “You know what? I wish it did.
“I’ve been able to adapt to my grown-up lifestyle with my ability to wear certain brands, but I’ve known from a very young age that it didn’t really matter where [the clothes] were from as long as it made me feel good and looked right.”
The actress – who recently underwent a major hair transformation from long locks to a pixie-cut hairdo – also revealed she is a chameleon when it comes to fashion and wants her style to change “every day”.
She continued: “I don’t [look] the same way every single day. I am too greedy for that. I want to be everything, and I want to look like everything, and I want to change my personality every single day.”
The ‘Little Women’ star believes that people feel “safe” in J.Crew.
She said: “Every single person I spoke to has had J.Crew items in their wardrobe for the last 10 years, five years, whatever. They dress their children [in it]. It’s a brand that people feel safe with because it understands their shape and their mood and who they are today.”
Florence also praised fellow actresses Cynthia Erivo, 35, and Tessa Thompson, 38, for being “daring” with their ensembles.
She said: “I think [Erivo’s style] is so daring. My stylist always says ‘Fashion is there to be fun.’ And for me, Cynthia Erivo is definitely someone that never holds back … Same for Tessa Thompson. I mean, you cannot put one of her red carpets next to the other and say that it’s the same person coming out.”
The ‘Black Widow’ star added how she takes “inspiration” from anyone she admires sartorially.
Florence said: “When I meet someone that I love the look of, I do definitely take inspiration from them. I take inspiration from the color of their clothes, from their nails. It’s something that I don’t mind adapting to. But I never completely clone them.”

She recounted their first meeting in December 1986 in New York nearly 35 years ago and how he become “like family to me”.

“She has a really nice closet thanks to so many designers and friends who have sent her some lovely things, but wow, kids grow fast, don’t they?”

The acclaimed designer revealed that the collection – which will feature both menswear and womenswear – is titled ‘Before it Starts’, owing to the fact that it was supposed to be launched in September 2022 and thinks that Milan is the “perfect city” in which to create fashion.
Speaking to the WWD, the Italian native explained: “I decided to open up and start creating a community. Ennio – whose designs have been chosen by Hollywood A-listers like Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jude Law, and Scarlett Johansson over the years – also went on to explain that in the runup to his latest collection, he has become more aware of sustainability and inclusion thanks to his brother.

Charlotte Beecham loves seeing her designs ‘in the wild’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Beecham loves seeing her designs “in the wild.”
The 31-year-old fashion designer – who is the founder and creative director of Charlotte Simone which specialises in women’s faux fur coats and accessories – admitted that while she “designs for [herself]”, one of the best things about being a designer is getting to see her work worn by others.
She said: “I design for myself a lot of the time. I fall in love with a shade, a silhouette or a fabric and bring it to life. The second best thing is seeing it in the wild, once the gruelling process of design and development is finally done, and I see someone spent their hard-earned money on it…. Well, that’s the best, feeling ever.”
When asked whether she misses being able to wear her famous coats in the summer, she quipped that that is “not something [she] needs to worry about”, owing to the fact that she lives in England.
She told HungerTV: “Living in London that’s not really something I have to worry about…. I get to wear them almost nine months of the year really!”
The businesswoman – whose coats and accessories can be found in hundreds of UK stockists – then went on to reveal that she finds going to sleep “incredibly frustrating” because her brain is “always abuzz”, but sticks to a skincare routine to wind down.
She said: “My brain is always abuzz, I often find bedtime incredibly frustrating as my body is exhausted but my mind is still wired. I’m slowly but surely getting better at ‘switching off’ but as a business owner, it’s very difficult to leave the office at the office at the end of the day. I like to have a bath if I have the time, then I’ll plod through my skincare routine, pop on some cosy PJs and get into bed with my sausage dog, Harold.
“I love Estee Lauder’s ‘Advanced Night Repair Serum’, Sisley ‘Hydra-Global’ moisturiser and Bobbi Brown’s lip balm. These are my skincare staples I would say.”

Christie Brinkley thinks her make-up tips are ‘good for women over 50’

OHMYGOSSIP — Christie Brinkley thinks her make-up tips are “pretty good” for women over the age of 50.
The 68-year-old model took to Instagram to share her beauty routine, offering advice to help her older fans “look fresh, fast.”
In the opening of the video, she said: “I just thought I’d share a few of my tips that you could add into your routine because I think that they are pretty good especially for women over 50 who are looking for ways to just look a little fresh, fast.”
Christie started her routine with by using the SBLA Beauty Facial Instant Sculpting Wand, which – according to the brand – contains a unique serum and Macro-sphere technology that works to reduce wrinkles, tighten the skin, boost collagen production.
Applying the wand, Christine explained: “Apply it to your forehead, around the eyes, around the mouth, and at night almost everywhere. The face wand I’m using here reduces the look of wrinkles right away and long term. It also smooths, brightens the complexion, de-puffs my eyes in the morning, and works great under and over makeup as a refresher!”
Following on from that, Christine used the SBLA Beauty Neck, Chin Jawline Sculpting Wand in the video as she urged fans to need to use it in order to “even out skin tones” and tighten things up.
She added: “Apply it all under here…down the neck…down the décolletage. it’ll even out skin tones, it’ll tighten things up with peptides and active ingredients that build back collagen and elastin. You need these two working for you underneath everything else that you do.”
In completing her contouring , Christine – who spent 25 years as the face of cosmetics brand CoverGirl- explained to her 766k followers that using a beauty blender is key to putting the finishing touches on her make-up routine.
She said: “A beauty blender…everybody probably knows this by now but you do not want your makeup to suddenly end right here. Wet your beauty blender… I like to do it with warm water. I put two different colour foundations on my hand, I put the lighter one under my eye, I put the warmer one under the cheek and then I just use a little bit of whatever is left and apply it down the neck, down the décolletage, and over the forehead.”

High-heel loather Sarita Choudhury didn’t think And Just Like That was for her

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarita Choudhury initially didn’t think she’d ever star in ‘And Just Like That…’ because she isn’t a “high-heel girl”.
The 55-year-old actress plays Sarah Jessica Parker’s alter ego Carrie Bradshaw’s real estate agent Seema on the ‘Sex and the City’ spin-off series, and she thought producers had the “wrong girl” when she got the call to audition for the part.
She told WWD: “I’m not a high-heel girl. I heard about it from other friends, other actors who were just talking about it. And I was just like, ‘Oh, that’s interesting.’ But I would never in a second think about me, myself. And so when I got the call, it was a straight-up audition, but for producers. And I was like, ‘What?’ And I see the script and I saw the character and I’d never played a character like her. So again, I was like, ‘They may have the wrong girl.’”
However, as soon as she slipped into a pair of heels and puffed on a cigarette, it was like the “unsureness” never existed.
She said: “What was interesting is even if I felt unsure, the minute I spoke her lines and wore the high heels, and smoked that cigarette, the unsureness was never there. It was just before and after. Now it’s out and I can see how it builds and everything, but when you’re doing it, you’re doing it without knowing.”
The ‘Mississippi Masala’ star attributes her time on the reboot with helping her to step “outside of her comfort zone” on screen.
She added: “In theatre, I’m always used to playing someone outside my comfort zone, but I’d never, in a way, been offered that in film or TV. I’ve played power roles, but usually in the guise of a lawyer or someone behind a desk.
“But not that glamorous, very iconic-feeling figure. I just didn’t put myself, especially in TV and film, in that kind of role. And what’s been great about it is now I’m like, ‘Oh, it’d be so great to do like a film noir or…’ It’s opened my brain up to other things.”

The 47-year-old reality TV star also takes a bottle of the Tom Ford Shimmering Body Oil with her for “glistening” sun-kissed skin.
She said: “Living in Miami, you have to be glistening and shining and sexy. There is nothing like glistening skin when it is hot out.”

The pair finalised their divorce last year, but Larsa admits it was a difficult process to go through.
Larsa – who married the NBA legend in 1997 – shared: “I feel like it was three years. I was like, ‘Is it ever gonna be over?’ It’s the longest divorce in history.
“I’m kind of glad that like, you know, we are where we are today. The divorce is over, we’re still in a great place and our kids are older too.”
Larsa has four children – Scotty Jr, 21, Preston, 20, Justin, 17, and Sophia, 14 – with her ex-husband, and in spite of seeking a divorce, she still has regrets about their break-up.
She said last month: “I wish my kids would have had, you know, a mom and dad in the same home. I felt guilty because I just, you know, I grew up with my mom and dad.
“I wanted my kids to grow up like that, but as far as our relationship, it couldn’t be better than it is right now. To be honest with you, we’re like, in such a great place. We love each other. We’re always gonna support each other. We support our kids, you know, we’re just in a really good place.”
Larsa filed for divorce in November 2018 but remains “proud” of her ex-husband.
The TV star praised the basketball legend for how he’s handled their divorce.
She said: “I’m really proud of Scottie and I and how we’ve navigated through this divorce and through, you know, obstacles.”

Virgil Abloh designed Olympian Shaun White a Louis Vuitton snowboarding case

OHMYGOSSIP — Virgil Abloh designed a Louis Vuitton snowboard case for Shaun White.
The Olympic champion has hailed the late fashion icon – who passed away in November, aged 41, following a private battle with cancer – as “an incredibly nice guy” and “enthusiastic about life” while revealing that the Louis Vuitton menswear creative director and Off-White founder made him a bespoke LV case for the Beijing Winter Olympics before his death.
The 35-year-old snowboarder told Vanity Fair: “I’d heard that he snowboarded, but I didn’t know that he was such a big fan of it. Virgil was an incredibly nice guy, just enthusiastic about life.
“At the end of our conversation, I mentioned to him how I collected vintage LV luggage and that it would be a dream of mine to have a Louis Vuitton snowboard case and his response was ‘No e***** way. This is perfect for what we’re doing right now!’”
The video game star – who is working on his own snowboarding wear collection with Whitespace – is still working with Virgil’s team.
Shaun said: “We definitely were still talking and working together even after Virgil’s passing.
