Holly Willoughby’s Wylde Moon teams up with English National Opera and Andy Bell for scent launch

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby is teaming up with the English National Opera (ENO) and Andy Bell for her fragrance launch.
The ‘This Morning’ host’s Wylde Moon brand has announced a “night to awaken all off the senses” to mark the launch of its first personal fragrance, ‘(borrowed from) The Wild’.
The collaboration – which features the ex-Oasis musician and ‘La bohème’ and will take place on February 23 with footage airing online two days later – celebrates the scent, which is available from Tuesday (08.02.22).
In a lengthy statement, Holly said: “I fell in love with the opera on my first ever visit over 13 years ago. I had no idea what to expect.
“What I learnt is that it is for everyone, and for me when I come, life seems to switch off and I become immersed into a world that takes over all senses. Going to the ENO is similar to meditation for me.
“It’s the perfect place to reconnect. I’m always mesmerised by the controlled freedom that opera has – powerful voices that helped me to reconnect with my inner voice and not be afraid to express it.
“Opera signifies that for me in life. ‘La bohème’ begins with the blowing out of a candle, just as WYLDE MOON was created with a candle – there’s synergy there that brought the whole idea together.”
The collaboration will see Bell perform new work based on Puccini’s classic opera, while the performance will feature ‘La bohème’ cast members and a 48-piece orchestra.
Holly added: “Andy Bell was the only person for the job. Such an incredibly talented musician and opera lover – who better to curate and compose the music for the night?
“To create a reworked aria and duet to sit alongside something that’s already perfect is not an easy task. I’m so excited for the world to hear the magic that Andy has created.”
Andy also commented: “For me, freedom and abandon is about amplified sound and how I use it, the freedom of using electronic instruments and all the amazing sounds you can make.
“But maybe for the orchestra and cast, it’s about a different kind of freedom, freedom from being in standard tempo, or a standard volume.
“Opera is very free in those ways and it makes rock music / conventional electronic music feel very constricted in that sense. So, to me they are the true bohemians.”

Jennifer Lopez remembers making her own prom dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez made her own prom dress.
The ‘Jenny From The Block’ hitmaker has remembered the special gown – a pink satin and lace ensemble – she created for the dance with then-boyfriend David Cruz, and she admitted she “had a vision”.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, she said: “I made my prom dress. A pink halter, mermaid. Pink satin with lace on top.
“I drew it and gave it to this dressmaker in the neighborhood and was like, ‘This is the dress I want to make.’ I had a vision.”
J-Lo – who grew up in the Bronx – also reflected on how designer shoes lined up against a wall in a London hotel suite made her realise how much her life had changed forever as her film and music career took off in the late 1990s.
She recalled: “I was like, ‘I remember having holes in the bottom of my sneakers’. I was just like, ‘Is this happening?’
“It was almost like a f****** fairy tale. And it wasn’t about the wealth of it. It was about the change, the disparity in it.
“That hotel suite was bigger than the house I grew up in. Way bigger.”
Although the 52-year-old star is used to her wealth now, she still feels like an “underdog” given her journey “scrapping from the bottom”.
She explained: “I think I’m an underdog. I always feel like I was scrapping from the bottom. Always. I always felt like I wasn’t the one that was supposed to be in the room.
“That’s part of being Puerto Rican and from the Bronx and a woman. You know what I mean? All of that stuff.
“Not being born into a family with money. Not knowing anybody in the business. I just went out there and said, ‘F*** it. I’m going to just try. I’m going to try to get in here.’ ”

Julia Fox’s stylish sums up star’s fashion as ‘Monica Bellucci, dominatrix and future’

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Fox’s stylist sums up her style and personality as “Monica Bellucci, dominatrix and future”.
The ‘Uncut Gems’ actress – who once spent six months working as a dominatrix – has “lived many lives”, and her close friend and stylist Peri Rosenzweig has opened up on her fashion choices, including the impact of the ‘Bram Stoker’s Dracula’ actress.
She told WWD: “Monica Bellucci, dominatrix and future. I feel like those three speak to every element of her personality, but also her style.
“She’s lived many lives and I feel like [the three descriptors] speak to every facet of her life, what she’s been creating personally and with her style throughout all of those lives.”
Peri explained how her friend “loves to feel sexy”, as she reflects on Julia’s all-latex ensemble for her 32nd birthday party on February 4.
She added: “Julia loves to feel sexy. I feel like latex is a medium that checks all the boxes,” Rosenzweig explained. “It’s really clean, it’s super luxe and expensive and you feel hot in it.”
And while the stylist – who has worked with the likes of musicians King Princess, Clairo and Eartheater – thinks Julia’s partner Kanye West has been more inspired by his girlfriend’s fashion sense, she acknowledged one way the influence has gone the other way.
She said: “His influence is that he has so many ideas. It kind of ignites you in a way. I think that’s the way he’s maybe inspired her style: inspiring [her] to try and act on new ideas.”
The pair rocked matching all-denim outfits at Paris Couture Week, and Peri also revealed how she brought Julia’s ensemble together.
She added: “We worked with Daniel [Roseberry] from Schiaparelli to make sure the look was telling her story and was a really strong, powerful moment that spoke to all aspects of her style.
“It was dominatrix, but futuristic and the tailoring was insane. The second she put it on, it fit her like a glove.”

Kerry Katona is ‘really hating the way’ she looks

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona is “really hating the way” she looks at the moment.
The former Atomic Kitten member longs to make her diet healthier but is trapped in a vicious cycle of eating to soothe her emotions.
Writing in her New! magazine column, the 41-year-old television personality admitted: “As I write this, I’m sitting here eating a bag of Haribos! I’m really hating the way I look at the moment, which causes me to comfort eat, and then I hate myself even more.”
Prior to this admission, the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ winner wished she “could eat something as healthy” as the meal Victoria Beckham has eaten each day for a quarter of a century.
Kerry wrote: “Victoria Beckham has eaten the same meal of grilled fish and steamed vegetables every day for 25 years, according to her hubby David. He admitted that the only time she’s shared something with him was when she was pregnant with their daughter Harper. Bloody hell, that’s very healthy! No wonder she’s so slim. She needs to get a kebab down her neck! To be honest, I wish I could eat something as healthy as that every day.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Celebs Go Dating’ star – and mother to Molly, 20, Lilly-Sue, 19, Heidi, 14, Max, 13, Dylan-Jorge, seven – loves that model Cara Delevingne is “manifesting” while revealing its a “big part” of her and her fiancee Ryan Mahoney’s routine.
Kerry shared: “Cara Delevingne says she’s manifesting having a baby in the future by buying clothes for her non-existent child. I’m a huge believer in visualisation – it’s a big part of mine and Ryan’s lifes. I would recommend it to anyone. I always write down my affirmations and appreciations every day. Obviously, it’s not just about manifesting something, you also have to put in to the work. You can’t just speak a baby into existence – Cara will need some sperm for that! But I think manifestation really helps.”

Sabrina Bartlett has a ‘really simple’ skincare routine

OHMYGOSSIP — Sabrina Bartlett has “a really simple” skincare regime.
The ‘Bridgerton’ star had to “strip back” her routine after suffering from a bout of dermatitis – a condition that causes flaky skin – so she only used “the bare minimum” and was thankful her skin was getting back to normal.
The 30-year-old actress told Country and Town House: “I tend to stick to a really simple routine to keep my skin clean and I don’t use multiple products. I actually had dermatitis this year and had to really strip back everything I was using to the bare minimum. Luckily, my skin is behaving itself these days!”
To stay in shape, Sabrina practices yoga and “religiously” attends teacher Emily Hughes’ online sessions – a lockdown discovery – and thinks everyone would benefit.
She said: “I discovered the most amazing yoga teacher, Emily Hughes, during the first lockdown, who has completely transformed my strength and tone. Emily has an online platform where people can come and take live classes and time out for themselves. I religiously attend her sessions. I’d highly recommend checking her out.”
For her best makeup tips, ‘The Larkins’ star opts for “colours that bring out the green” in her eyes, such as warm browns.
Sabrina said: “I just love any colours that bring out the green in my eyes. Chocolate or cappuccino tones in particular.”
The actress also confessed that her worst beauty habit is “falling asleep with a full face of make-up after a night out”, but she thinks people can have fabulous hair both on and off duty.
She said: “If I want volume, I’m a big believer in sea salt spray to encourage wave and texture. Or if I’m on the go I usually whack a little Moroccan oil in my hair and swirl it into a low bun.”

Paul Smith believes people should stop taking ‘themselves so seriously’

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Smith thinks people shouldn’t “take themselves too seriously”.
The 75-year-old fashion designer – who opened his first shop in Nottingham more than 50 years ago – believes in the importance of keeping grounded and polite no matter how successful you become.
Paul told Sharp magazine: “Never take yourself too seriously, and always remember that nobody cares how good you used to be. Keep your feet on the ground. Think laterally. Say please and thank you.”
The menswear designer revealed that he still gets “nervous” when he meets people despite being in the business for more than half a century but credits his father for helping to just get on with it.
He said: “I think I’m just really ordinary with everybody. They’re probably as nervous about meeting me as I am about meeting them, so why not just go, ‘Hi everybody!” I really cite my dad for that.”
The ‘Royal Designer for Industry’ also spoke of his sadness about everything being so similar and how people needed to “fight against it”.
Paul said: “People are just nervous to be themselves and the whole world is so homogenized. It’s so sad really. Because we’re all, for some reason, trying to keep up and trying to, you know, be responsible to the turnover of the company or whatever — which I understand, of course. When you fight against it, you’ve got to keep your feet on the ground. You can still can have a bit of lateral thinking.”
He also attributed his long career to be being “a bit mad” and being prepared to collaborate with other brands outside of the fashion world.
Paul said: “I’m a bit mad, you know. I’ve worked with Leica Cameras, Pinarello bicycles. My company works well. I love my job. So, anything outside of that is just fantastic fun for me. If I can make a little bit of money out of it, that’s great, but that’s not why I do it. I love to be scared. I do a lot of public speaking, and I’m always frightened.”

She said: “It’s not radical for me to be wearing a crop top. [Comments like those are] just backhanded compliments.”
Barbie also reflected on how “bigger bodies are not as ‘trendy’” as they used to be.
She said: “I think bigger bodies are not as ‘trendy’ as they used to be, which is really sad to me, but it’s more of a conversation of the fact that we all struggle with self-love, and I don’t think any young person has really figured it out yet.”

In the tutorial video’s caption on Instagram, the 80-year-old TV personality said: “Remember my iconic thirst trap? I’m finally revealing how I create the perfect selfie.”
In the video, the homeware entrepreneur’s voiceover reads: “Thirst trap 101, so you want the tea on how I create my perfect selfies?”
When the iconic photo flashes up in the background, the video says: “Oh yes, this was some of my best work.”
She begins: “First project fabulous. Next, only conceal where needed. Being effortless is key. Now add a touch of gloss.
“Then say the magic phrase…,” prompting Martha to repeat the skincare and cosmetics lines name.
The caption on TikTok reads: “Gorgeous, gorgeous people love @cledepeaubeauteUS concealer.”
In a corresponding statement, Martha added: “The range of concealer shades come in handy for different concealing tasks. You can use it to cover everything from a blemish to enlarged pores and bruises.
“I like to apply it with a very soft brush … not just my fingertips. There are lots of good, good, good things to use a concealer for.”

Karamo Brown cites his biggest fashion influences as hip-hop and 00s MTV

OHMYGOSSIP — Karamo Brown says his style is “always influenced by hip-hop”.
The ‘Queer Eye’ star attributes his coming-of-age during the blossoming of rap music videos on MTV as very influential to his fashion choices.
The 41-year-old television personality told Vanity Fair: “My style is always influenced by hip-hop. I turned 20 in 2000, and so in high school, the emergence of MTV and hip-hop coming up and being popular culture and all those stars, they’ve always influenced me. Message tees [are] something that [have] always been popular in the Black community, talking about funerals to beyond. It’s always been like, put a message on the shirt.”
The star – who takes a lot of the emotional labour on the Netflix makeover show and forms the Fab Five with Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk and Antoni Porowski – opts for more affordable options for people to “cry right on”.
Karamo said: “I’m usually around 99 per cent of the time where people start to let the feelings out…I’m not buying a $400, $500 shirt for somebody to cry on. I’m not doing it. You can cry right on this $17 T-shirt that I wear.”
In the latest season, he broadcasted his love of slogan tops to create a t-shirt that reads ‘Black History is More Than Slavery” – that is being sold for $26 in aid of the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund and True Colors United.
Karamo explained: “I wear that [T-shirt] a lot to kind of say it’s more than that. So if you, if every time you talk about Black history, the first thing you talk about is slavery, there’s an issue. Talk about it, yes. Acknowledge it, yes. We need to address what brought us there and the things that happened, but just know there is more to Black and African culture than just being slaves.”
Karamo added: “White people will come up to me and, and ask me about it. That’s really what I love. One of the things that we know about the pandemic is it is not the responsibility of that person who’s been marginalized or been beaten down to have to feel like they have to educate. But for me, for me alone, and I’m always clear on that, I don’t mind, I feel like part of my purpose of my role in this world is to educate. It’s part of what I’ve been given the patience and the opportunity to say, ‘I got a little time for you.'”

Tom Brady drops first athleisure collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Brady has launched his first fashion collection following his retirement from the NFL.
The former New England Patriot player has dropped BRADY, his inaugural men’s athletic wear line – which is available at selected Nordstrom stores and on the brand’s website bradybrand.com – with two defining categories ‘TRAIN’ and ‘LIVE’, which is one step towards Tom’s dream of a “full lifestyle brand” inspired by his own.
The 44-year-old Super Bowl champion told GQ: “I really wanted to do a full, lifestyle brand. In my life, it’s football in the morning, and I train. But then I’m home and I do family things: I go play basketball with my kids outside; go for a walk; then you’re chilling out at dinner. I wanted to have enough where you could go between different parts of the collection and put things on and they’d feel really comfortable, look good, fit good, and they would fit for whatever occasion you’re heading off to.”
The collection comes with two categories; ‘TRAIN – which is made up of garments, in high-performance materials – and LIVE – a array of clothes for everyday life – and prices start at $20 to $495.
Tom – who is married to supermodel Gisele Bundchen with who he has son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, nine, and from his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan, he has John, his 14-year-old son – is aiming to give people “multi-functional” clothes
In a statement, he said: “Working with a best-in-class team has helped me apply everything I’ve learned throughout my career to create a multi-functional brand that incorporates the best in tech, fabric and innovative design.”
One of the co-founders Jens Grede – who also works with Kim Kardashian on her iconic SKIMS shapewear line – wants Tom become American football’s answer to Michael Jordan.
He told GQ: “I remember saying to him that there is no reason why you wouldn’t build the Jordan of football, so to speak. What does that look like in a modern context?”
Creative director Dao-Yi Chow – who founded the clothing brand Public School – was also enlisted to work on the line and described its aesthetic as “active lifestyle with a tailored sensibility”.
He continued to the magazine: “It was super important when we first started developing the brand that it was fabric-led and textile-led, and making sure we were looking at innovations that really enhance performance.”

Melissa Barrera has been ‘very skincare focused’ since she was ‘really young’

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa Barrera has always been “very skincare orientated”.
The ‘Scream’ star began focusing on taking good care of her skin – such as using sunscreen- “really young” while growing up in Mexico.
In conversation with her 57-year-old co-star Courteney Cox for Interview magazine, the 31-year-old said: I’ve always been very skincare oriented. I started really young with my skincare routine, and it’s helped me have the skin that I have. I started using sunscreen very young. What I have to do now is take care of my entire body, because I focus just on my face.”
The ‘In The Heights’ star shared an expert-approved tip to the former ‘Friends’ star.
Melissa spilled: “My dermatologist gave me a really good tip. She gave me a really thick body lotion and said, ‘Put it on within the first three minutes that you get out of the shower’.”
Courteney responded: “Trust me, I didn’t even know that I had skin on my body until I was over 50. Just wait.”
Last month, the former telenovela star urged the importance of being “healthy and strong” to maintain youthfulness, citing the “goddess” 90-year-old Rita Moreno, star of ‘West Side Story’.
She said: “I think that you look the way you feel. So if you feel like you’re able to move because you’ve made it a point to be active all your life, to keep your body healthy and strong, then you’re going to stay strong and healthy, and that’s going to make you look, feel, and act younger automatically. I think it’s important to maintain a positive mindset. Like the actress Rita Moreno—she is a goddess. She is way older than she looks. Have you seen One Day at a Time? It’s this fantastic sitcom on Netflix that she’s on.”
Melissa added: “She is just so youthful. She moves, and she dances, and she looks beautiful, but it’s her energy—it’s so much younger. She’s maintained that. She hasn’t let herself get jaded by the industry. She’s just active and happy.”

Bobbi Brown attributes her TikTok success to her being “authentic”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobbi Brown thinks her makeup tutorials are a TikTok hit because she’s “authentic”.
The 64-year-old beauty business maverick – who has painted the faces of Isabella Rossellini, Tina Turner and Andie MacDowell – has over 202.1 million views on social media and attributes her success because people are “craving” her “positive messaging around self-care and self-love”.
Bobbi told British Vogue: “For over 30 years, my message has consistently been about being authentic and yourself, and the TikTok audience seems to be craving that message. We all need to hear more positive messaging around self-care and self-love right now, and it’s definitely struck a chord on my TikTok.”
The Jones Road Beauty founder believes that the “demographic” of TikTok has changed and it is not just the terrority of younger people.
She said: “TikTok may have started as a Gen-Z platform, but its demographic has definitely expanded. There is a strong and very vocal 50+ audience on TikTok and that community has been very supportive of me.”
The former makeup artist – who sold her eponymous line to Estee Lauder in 1995 – doesn’t think their is a departure from her original “ethos’, of emphasising your “natural features” instead of harsh contouring.
She believes in the power of taking care of yourself so you “look and feel your best”.
Bobbi told the magazine: “I don’t think people realise that often when you don’t look or feel your best, it’s just because you’re tired. When I feel like that, I first make sure that I stay hydrated and eat well throughout the day. Drink water. Eat some healthy fats and use a super hydrating moisturiser on your face, neck and hands.”
Bobbi said: “My ethos has always been about learning to love yourself and using makeup to enhance your natural features. What I’m saying on TikTok is what I’ve been preaching my whole career – there is a lot of negative content on social media that’s about covering up your flaws and always looking perfect, whatever the cost. That’s just not my philosophy.”
She continued: “People want content that feels authentic – I don’t over-produce my content, I don’t write a script – I just turn on the camera and be myself.”

This remake included establishing the VS Collective – a movement that incorporated Megan Rapinoe, Eileen Gu, Paloma Elsesser and Priyanka Chopra Jonas – scrapping their annual fashion show and the brand’s use of ‘Angels’, such as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Elsa Hosk, and many others.
