Emma Roberts says “fragrance has always played a big role” in her life.

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Roberts says “fragrance has always played a big role” in her life.
The ‘Wild Child’ star – and new face of Hugo Boss’ Boss Alive – recalled as a child that she was “desperate” to have a “signature scent”.
The 31-year-old actress told Marie Claire: “Fragrance has always played a big role for me. Even since I was a kid, I remember being desperate to have a signature scent when I was older. I always thought that was just so chic – the way that my mom would smell or other friends’ moms. It felt very adult and cool to have a scent. So when I was asked to be the face of BOSS ALIVE, I was so excited because my signature scent had been chosen for me and it was an amazing one. When we first started working together, BOSS ALIVE had notes of vanilla in it – it was just so me and it came in this gorgeous pink bottle. And now with BOSS ALIVE Intense, I have two different scents so I can alternate. This one has raspberry and vetiver and I’ve always loved vetiver notes in perfume. Plus again, it has a gorgeous bottle that I get to look at on my vanity. It says “ALIVE” and it makes me smile every time I look at it – I love that messaging.”
The former ‘Scream Queens’ star loves that the the shoot for the perfume was “not photoshopped” and “very natural”.
Emma said: “Those qualities are so important to me. What I loved about this campaign is that it was not photoshopped – it was very natural. The photographer, Collier, who is one of my favourite photographers, really wanted to capture each of us girls as who we are – feeling confident and having fun, and I just absolutely loved that. Sometimes you see ads and you don’t even recognise the people in them, so I loved that BOSS was allowing us to really bring ourselves to this campaign. And it made me feel confident that they wanted me to look and feel like myself. I just love that messaging and I was really honoured to get to be a part of it, even more so knowing that the campaign was making people feel like themselves and feel confident. I’ve always thought that the prettiest person in the room is not necessary wearing the most expensive outfit or the most make up, it’s the person that is the most confident and lively. So I love that we’re bringing that messaging forward with the BOSS ALIVE campaign.”

Naomi Campbell prefers ‘to wear as little makeup as possible’

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell thinks “it’s better to wear as little makeup as possible”.
The Vivienne Westwood catwalk queen takes an opposite approach to when she began working in the fashion industry that she would wear slap “almost like a mask”.
The 52-year-old supermodel told British Vogue: “When I was younger and I started in the business as a model, I wore as much makeup as possible, almost like a mask. Now, I feel completely the opposite. I feel as though I’ve come to realise that it’s better to wear as little makeup as possible. So you can see you. I don’t want to be behind a mask. I want people to see me. And to feel me. And to see my expressions.”
Naomi believes that “if you take care and nourish your skin” there is less reliance on cosmetics.
She said: “It’s better to have skin that looks like it doesn’t need copious amounts of make-up. I think if you take care of and nourish your skin, you won’t need as much make-up.”
The noted fan of Pat McGrath Labs admitted to loving “shine” on her face but understands that’s not a popular opinion.
Naomi said: “I love shine. I love skin to look, hydrated, dewy, oily… Some people don’t like that. But I think you look better that way. As you get older, less is best – and it’s better to have a hydrated face, as opposed to a matte base.”
Naomi – who is mother to a 13-month-old daughter -thinks her journey into parenthood has “enhanced” her desire to look after herself.
She said: “Obviously I want to take care of myself, because I want to be around for my daughter as much as I can, you know, but I was already on this track – I just think that being a mother has enhanced it.”
On Sunday (12.06.22), Naomi posted an update about her darling daughter’s “first steps”.
She wrote an Instagram post commemorating the milestone: “My Love, My heartbeat First Steps walking.”

Elsa Pataky shares make-up must-haves

OHMYGOSSIP — Elsa Pataky “can’t live without” mascara.
The ‘Interceptor’ actress feels “sleepy” if she doesn’t put make-up on her eyelashes every day and her other beauty essential is a blush which she can double up as a lip gloss.
She said: “I can’t live without mascara. I just feel sleepy when I don’t have it on. And I have a cream cheek colour that I just use it for my cheeks and for my lips. Those are the essentials I want to always have in the morning and in my purse.”
The 45-year-old beauty – who has daughter India, 10, and twins Tristan and Sasha, eight, with husband Chris Hemsworth – believes the key to her good skin is a “simple” routine, though now her children are getting older, she’s got more time to be able to try various treatments and rituals.
She told Australia’s Marie Claire magazine: I have always kept my skincare routine very simple. I haven’t done much to my skin. It’s true that when you’re young, you try all kind of things. You put all kind of masks [and other products on] but with time you know what it works for you. You start knowing your skin and what is good for it. My basics are just always cleanse my skin every night, even if I get home late.
” Then moisturise always, always before I go to bed, and every morning. That’s been my basics my whole life. I would never go out without my moisturizer and my sunscreen now here.
“When you’re a mum with babies, you just don’t have time anymore, so it’s really hard. Now, I think with the kids getting a little bit older, I feel like I have more time for myself to do [things like skincare] rituals. You have to think “Oh, this is my time. I’m just going to use this. I’m going to enjoy this moment.” I think all mums deserve a bit of time to themselves.”
But Elsa has “no time” for her hair and with the climate of Australia, insisted there’s no point trying to style it every day anyway.
She said: “I have no time for my hair. My hair is pretty straight, so I don’t have to do anything, and there is nothing you can do [anyway] with the humidity so it’s preferable to just leave it natural.”

Lady Gaga: Makeup is not good for your skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga believes that makeup is “not good” for your skin.
The 36-year-old pop star launched her cosmetics company Haus Labs back in 2019 but admitted that throughout her time as founder of the company she has learned how “dirty” makeup can be as she aims to find “futuristic formulas” as the brand enters its newest chapter.
She said: “In a lot of ways, rebranding Haus Labs felt very similar to reinventing myself as an artist. hat it taught me about makeup, and this informed where we are today, is that a lot of makeup is made with really dirty ingredients. It’s not good for your skin and it’s not good for the planet. [My team and I] really thought about how to go beyond what the industry standards of “clean” were. ”
The ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker went on to explain that with the newest line of Hause of Labs products, she has removed thousands of those “unclean” products from the previous range and hopes to be the “future” of clean makeup.
She told Fashion Magazine: “As an artist, you’re always trying to push the boundaries of who you are. When I started as the founder of this company, my knowledge of beauty was much more limited to my own sense of artistry.
“We’ve removed 2,600 ingredients from our products. We like to say at our company that we’re the future of clean makeup, and that’s the thing that propels us every day. How do we explore the art of clean? How do we find interesting, innovative, futuristic formulas?”

Chloe Bailey used to be ‘ashamed’ of her curves

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Bailey used to be “ashamed” of her curves.
The 23-year-old pop star – who shot to fame alongside her younger sister as part of musical duo Chloe x Halle – explained that found it hard to accept her figure growing up but now her “favourite part” of her body is her butt.
She said: “We’re not all supposed to be perfect, like bad bitch and confident all the time. We have different layers, ebbs, and flows into our lives. It would be completely unfair for me to portray myself to the world as if I have no problems. Because I do.
“It’s complicated. I’ve always had thick thighs and a butt. But I was growing up at a time when, if someone on television told you that you had a big butt, they meant it as an insult. So I was a little ashamed of my curves. I tried to hide them. It took a very, very long time. Now my favourite thing about [my body] is my butt.”
The ‘Forgive Me’ songstress – who shot to fame alongside her sister after being spotted on YouTube by megastar Beyonce – went on to explain that the ‘Single Ladies’ hitmaker actually served as a source of inspiration to her younger self when she was part of pop group Destiny’s Child alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Chloe told Allure: “The first woman I saw embrace her body was Beyoncé. Hearing her sing ‘Bootylicious’ or seeing her perform on the BET [awards] made me feel calm about my body. Also Jill Scott. She showed me another beautiful, full-figured, thick, sexy, curvaceous [woman]. And I was like, that is sexy.”

Sadie Sink ‘doesn’t know how to apply make-up’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sadie Sink has admitted she’s got no idea how to apply make-up.
The ‘Stranger Things’ star lifted the lid on her beauty regime in a new interview with Glamour magazine, and confessed she’s not a cosmetics aficionado like many of her peers in Hollywood.
Sadie told the publication make-up leaves her baffled and she has come up with a bizarre way to apply it herself: “I don’t know how to do makeup. My version of doing make-up, if I ever have to wear it and do it by myself, is that I’ll just literally take eyeliner and rub it everywhere and then try to get it all off.”
However, she does take her skincare seriously and opened up about her favourite products, saying: “I would say The Blue Cocoon facial oil from May Lindstrom Skin. I’ve used it for, like, maybe three years now and I love it. So, I’d have that, some sunscreen and a brow brush. Those are the things I use on a daily basis. ”
The actress – who plays Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield in the Netflix show – said she doesn’t really go overboard with beauty treatments, but has tried out some strange facials.
She added: “I don’t really do anything too outlandish when it comes to beauty. I’ve gotten weird facials before, where you sit in one of those light machines and you feel like you’re in a spaceship.
“That’s probably as bizarre as it gets for me, but there’s definitely some weird beauty stuff out there.”
However, there’s one vice she wants to quit – biting her nails.
Sadie went on : “I bite my nails a lot! The ones I’m wearing right now are not real and I want to take them off really badly. But I guess that’s probably my worst habit – I’m pretty good with everything else.”

Cameron Diaz reveals secrets to looking fabulous at 49

OHMYGOSSIP — Cameron Diaz has lifted the lid on looking good as she approaches her 50th birthday.
The Hollywood actress has taken a step back from acting in recent years to focus on raising her young daughter, and she’s admitted it’s given her time to focus on living well.
In an interview with Goop, Cameron reveals she’s stopped wearing make-up and it’s been hugely beneficial for her skin after suffering years of breakouts.
She said: “I’ve been wearing make-up every day for most of my life, because of work, and it was really depleting to my skin. I always had a breakout. And since I stopped wearing a lot of it, in my 40s – obviously I’m older, too, but I was getting breakouts well into my 40s – I like my skin much better.”
She credits one of Goop’s products – the Microderb Scrub – with helping but she admits she doesn’t even cleanse her face in the mornings.
Cameron added: “I’m so into the goop glow. I just love the Microderm scrub – it feels so good and really makes a difference in my skin. I have a face oil, and a retinol from Versed, and that’s about it.
“When I get up in the morning, I run my skin under the water in the shower – I don’t even use a cleanser in the mornings.”
Despite rarely ever wearing make-up these days, there are certain products she still loves using, adding: “After the years of having to wear it, I love make-up as a fun little touch. Merit makes absolutely beautiful things, like my favourite lipstick, their Signature Lip in Cabo, which is just bright and light and effortless. And Gucci Westman’s highlight is so pretty, and her lip palettes are amazing, in every shade.”
Cameron also praised the benefits of intermittent fasting which helps her feel good, saying: “It’s worth it – it helps you stay mindful about what you’re putting in your body. We all start off in a great place, but it’s easy to end up getting further and further away from the place that’s your optimum.
“I’m the mother of a two-year-old, so we’re both having a little of this and a little of that, and do I need to be snacking as much as she is all day? Doing a little reset kind of brings you back. It helps you be more present in the moment, staying aware of what you’re saying and what you’re doing.”

Bridget Malcolm celebrates doing first pull up after battling anorexia for years

OHMYGOSSIP — Bridget Malcolm is celebrating doing her first pull up after years of battling anorexia.
The former Victoria’s Secret model has finally achieved “complete acceptance” of her body and is enjoying strength gains she never imagined in the depths of her eating disorder.
In an Instagram post, she said: “This week I did my first pull up – something that I never dreamed I would have been able to do five years ago.
“Ever since I got into recovery I wanted to feel strong, but it takes time to reverse the years of self-abuse. I had to give my body the time to even out.”
It comes after four years of the model being open about the body shaming she experienced in the modelling industry and her slow battle back to health and wellbeing.
Bridget, 30, added she wanted to start working out sooner but it wasn’t safe for someone with a history of severe body disorders.
The fashion star – who married Walking Shapes frontman Nathaniel Hoho, 37, in an intimate ceremony in 2016 – said: “Recovery done right is a slow, life-long process. I spent a few years at a size that took some getting used to. I was unable to be active.
“All I could focus on was maintaining my weight, and learning how to eat again.”
Bridget admitted the recovery process was uncomfortable, but over time she “learned to embrace my new body, and the process of eating”.
She explained: “This was when I began to write about my recovery, and to connect with others who knew what I was feeling.
“Which set me up for the complete acceptance I live in now today. Whether my weight goes up or down, I do not care. What I care about is what I am capable of. I get to live a full life now.”
The former underwear model included three photos with her post, the first of which showed her “able to do a pull-up” for the first time, and the second is from one year into her recovery.
She said the image showed her “still very weak both physically and mentally, wanting to be strong, but also unable to properly exercise for fear of relapse and lingering musculoskeletal injuries”.
The last picture is her at her “sickest”, with the model turned mental health advocate saying: “That was not a life worth living. I am so thankful to have made it out.”
Her confession comes after the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was cancelled in 2019 amid accusations its founder Edward Razek, 74, had created a culture of misogyny and harassment.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min launching own fashion brand later this month

OHMYGOSSIP — Tottenham Hotspur player Son Heung-min is launching his own fashion brand later this month.
The clothes-obsessed forward is teaming up with Asian department store Shinsegae to launch the NOS7 line, with the first offerings from the range to be released from June 17.
His brand spells out the reverse of Heung-min’s name, while including his jersey number. It is also being used as the acronym “Nothing, Ordinary Sunday”.
A Shinsegae spokesperson told the Korea Times: “Son is not only good at football, but he also has a great fashion sense. He launched the brand to share his thoughts on fashion with his fans.”
Son, 29, has been pictured wearing a white T-shirt bearing the NOS7 logo during a trip to his native South Korea, where he celebrated winning his first Premier League Golden Boot award.
The NOS7 product range is expected to range from sportswear, shoes, hats and gloves to underwear, socks, bathrobes, aprons and skirts.
It comes after fans joked Son should be handed the Nobel peace prize for breaking up an argument between two opposition players during South Korea’s victory over Chile in Daejeon.
The match on Monday (06.06.22) also marked Son’s 100th international appearance, which saw him net the goal that cemented South Korea’s 2–0 win in the friendly.
One of the best and most celebrated Asian football players in the history of the beautiful game, Son was nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2019.
Signed to Premier League side Spurs for £22 million, he has also represented his country at two World Cups, in 2014 and 2018, and is the top goalscorer of Asian descent in both Premier League and Champions League history.
His keen interest in fashion saw him appear in Ralph Lauren’s Wimbledon 2021 campaign, for which he was photographed with England rugby star Maro Itoje, 27, and surfer Lucy Campbell, also 27.
Son told GQ in 2021: “I think it’s really important to look smart and dress well. My favourite thing to wear is a winter coat – I like to stay warm (when it’s cold).
“Shorts, a T-shirt and flip-flops is my uniform in the summer.”
He admitted when asked by the magazine to describe his most embarrassing outfit: “A couple of years ago we had a Christmas party and I wore an ‘Iron Man’ costume as it was fancy dress.
“It was hard to have dinner or party, as the costume was made of plastic.”

Kimberley Walsh delighted over Dorothy Perkins range as she had to save her cash to buy their dresses

OHMYGOSSIP — Kimberley Walsh is delighted to be collaborating with Dorothy Perkins as she used to have to save her money to buy the brand’s dresses.
The Girls Aloud singer, now worth as estimated £8 million, added the former store chain’s trademark floaty frocks are perfectly suited to her post-baby body after having her third child, 12-month-old Nate.
She said about launching her spring/summer edit with the Boohoo-owned women’s brand: “I’ve been a fan of Dorothy Perkins for years.
“I remember saving up my money to go in there on a Saturday and buy my favourite dress, so it’s literally a dream come true.
“I’ve been watching their collections over the last couple of years and how they’ve evolved.
“I just love that there’s so much variety and so much choice for women of all shapes and sizes.
“It was lovely to choose my favourite pieces and make sure that I included something for everyone.
“Also, to think about shapes that are really flattering on women and little details like arm coverage for some of us slightly older women who are maybe not as confident in certain areas.
“They really have everything covered and it feels like the perfect partnership.”
As well as Nate, Kimberley is mum to Bobby, seven, and Cole, five, with her husband Justin Scott, 39.
She said about turning 40 in November when her latest boy was five months old: “Sometimes turning 40 can be a big deal. I’d just had a baby as well, so it’s tough to turn 40 when you’ve got a five-month-old because you’re not going to be back to your best self, but in some ways I think that was quite nice because it took the pressure off.
“I wasn’t going to look the best I’d ever looked because I’d just had a baby. I always take my time to let the weight naturally come off rather than killing myself to get back to what I was before.
“I was really fit before I had Nate and he’s one now and I’m just fitting into the jeans I wore before. But I’m not stressing about it because it’s summer so I can wear floaty dresses.”
Boohoo.com announced in February 2021 it was buying the Dorothy Perkins brand from Arcadia along with Wallis and Burton, for £25.2 million, with the loss of around 2,450 jobs.
The website is still trading, managed by Boohoo, with previous celebrity collaborators including Helena Christensen and Yasmin Le Bon, while Khloe, Kourteney and Kim Kardashian launched the Kardashian Kollection with the fashion chain in 2012.
