Anne Hathaway ‘so influenced’ by Patricia Field

OHMYGOSSIP — Anne Hathaway’s sense of style is “so influenced” by working with Patricia Field on ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
The 39-year-old actress portrayed a fashion magazine assistant in the 2006 movie and she learned a lot about how to pull an outfit together from watching the legendary stylist create the costumes for the film.
Asked by Michael Kors which outfit she wore in the movie that was more like herself than her character, Andy, she replied: “It’s a chicken-and-egg question, because what I think of as my style is so influenced by getting to work with Patricia Field and having conversations with her about how to put outfits together.
“But I love what I wore to the James Hoult party, that velvet Chanel coat that went to the knees, and then the miniskirt and the stockings and the slouched boots. I think it was a sample because I kept finding straight pins in it.”
The ‘WeCrashed’ star has had some fashion mishaps in the past and recalled how she once accidentally exposed her breasts on the red carpet because she hadn’t realised her dress was see-through.
Anne was disappointed that no one pointed out her mistake as she would have done the same for someone else.
Asked by Marc Jacobs for Interview magazine which of her past outfits she would erase if she could, she said: “Marc Jacobs, I love you and I love your wickedness.
“There was this one time where I was very young and dressed myself for an event, and I stepped onto a red carpet and did not know my dress was see-through, and I wasn’t wearing a bra.
“It was a very long carpet, and at no point did any of the people in that wall of photographers stop to give me a heads-up or offer me a jacket. I’m not naive.
“I don’t expect that, but it’s something I would do for another person if I saw it.
“And so I would erase that, just because it sucked.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jessica Parker finds sunglasses “helpful” when she’s running errands and doesn’t have time to get glammed up.
The ‘And Just Like That…’ actress – who has kids James, 19, and Marion and Tabitha, 13, with husband Matthew Broderick – doesn’t have time for a beauty routine when she isn’t working so just puts on a pair of shades if there’s a chance she might get photographed by paparazzi.
She said: “I don’t have a beauty routine when I’m leaving the house to run errands—I’m a mom! There’s just no freaking way. I love sunglasses, especially wraparounds because that’s what my mom wore growing up.
“I can’t carve out more time getting ready just because I might get photographed on the street. So sunglasses can be really helpful.”
When she does have time for glam, the 57-year-old star loves a smokey eye, but admitted she isn’t very good at contouring or applying her foundation herself.
She told Elle.com: “I love a smokey eye, and I have forever.
“I don’t know how to contour, I don’t know to apply good base makeup, but I can do a smokey eye and it just works on me. It makes me feel good, which was why I wore it for the ‘And Just Like That…’ premiere. I used a Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick, that’s what makes it easy.”
The actress thinks she looks “awful” in lipstick.
Discussing a 1991 red carpet look at the ‘For The Boys’ premiere, she said: “My natural hair texture is wavy, but if I use a diffuser I can give it the power to be curly like this—a diffuser gives my hair ten times the power it has alone.
“I’m not a lipstick girl, I think I look awful with it on. This was a lip liner from either Clinique or an Estée Lauder. In the ’80s, we felt enormous pride if we could do our lips without a mirror, which I could do. I don’t like this look on me.”

The 21-year-old social media sensation barely recognises herself in photos from just a few years ago because she has changed a lot and had more experiences that have shaped the person she is today.
She said: “Looking at pictures of myself from two years ago, I’m like: I don’t know her.
“I’ve grown into my style a lot the past few years, and as I’m getting older and experiencing more of life and different people, I’m discovering more things that I like and that inspire me.”
The ‘He’s All That’ star feels more comfortable with her body now than she used to, and finding her style has been part of that.
She explained in an interview with Elle: “I feel really comfortable with myself and my body now, but that’s obviously something I’ve had to work on and learn how to do.
“Because it’s really hard to love the things about yourself that maybe people don’t want you to love.
“Learning how to style my body type and understanding what looks good and feels good on me has been a big thing.
“Every body is so different, so something that looks great on someone else might not look the same on me. And that’s fine. It’s about finding things you love, but in a way that makes you feel the most confident – and making it your own.”
Addison has a number of stars who she looks to for style inspiration, with Angelina Jolie at the top of her list.
She gushed: “One of my favourite people in the world is Angelina Jolie. I love her so much, everything she does – if I met her in real life I just wouldn’t know what to say. She’s so enticing and mysterious.
“Monica Bellucci has also been a really big style influence for me recently. I love her classic looks: classy, but a little bit edgy.
“And Kate Moss, obviously, even though our body types are a little different.”

The silver crown of thorns was handcrafted over a period of almost a year by Tiffany and Co. and took 1,300 hours to set.
Alongside official images of the accessory worn by the hip-hop legend when he headlined the Pyramid Stage at the world-famous festival at the weekend, Tiffany’s Creative Director Ruba Abu-Nimah wrote on Instagram: “Handcrafted by four artisans over the span of 10 months, and a total of 1,300 hours setting the thousands of diamonds, Tiffany’s expert craftspeople brought the @kendricklamar crown to life from 16 individual pieces that were assembled to form the final design. #Glastonbury2022 #TiffanyAndCo.”
Kendrick closed Glastonbury 2022 with a powerful plea for women’s rights.
The 35-year-old rapper gave a poignant performance of ‘Savior’ and before he left the stage, he addressed the Supreme Court’s recent overturning of landmark ruling Roe v. Wade, which is expected to see at least 20 states restrict or make abortion illegal.

The 53-year-old actress was tapped to star in the luxury Italian fashion house’s latest campaign for its high-jewellery collection, Spirit.
The Hollywood star – who has worked with LV since 2012 – was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø for a series of glossy portraits showing off the exquisite pieces, including the standout 10.28-carat ruby Destiny necklace.

The ‘Heartstopper’ star called attending the Loewe catwalk at Paris Fashion Week “crazy” and lived up the hype after being invited by creative director Jonathan Anderson – who has dressed stars such as Josh O’Connor and Sir Anthony Hopkins – after he finished his final school exams.
The 18-year-old actor told GQ: “It was probably one of the most surreal experiences I’ve ever had, I did not see that coming. It’s one of those things that you always hear about as being one of the crazy experiences, and it lives up to it.”
Kit loved the outfit that Jonathan dressed him, saying “It was a look that fed into my own classic taste, but had a subtle edge,” and admitted that supporting LGBT designer was “a message that he wants to continue with” and vowed to “support the community as best he can.”
The Netflix star found his “outfit felt like a suit of armour” against the prongs of fans in the French capital.
Kit said: “The crowds of Heartstopper fans in Paris were quite mad and myself and the other cast members were quite swamped when we left the hotel. In a weird way my outfit felt like a suit of armour, which I think is something that’s really great about fashion – it gives you a shield of confidence.”
He also knows “there’s a lot” sartorially for him to try out before he finds his true style.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian is fighting the trademark claims concerning her SKKN BY KIM beauty line.
The 41-year’s lawyer hit back at accusations that her skincare line infringes on another brand SKKN+ – a trading name of Brooklyn-based small business owner Cyndie Lunsford’s Beauty Concepts LLC , – and believes is a effort to “damage” Kim’s “name and reputation”.
In a statement, attorney Michael Rhodes asserted that the legal action was “not what it seems,” while calling it a “shakedown effort” as he detailed their attempts to engage with the plaintiff.
He continued: “Several times we reached out to Beauty Concepts, trying to find a sensible path to coexistence. We pointed out that running a small esthetician business in Brooklyn does not give it the right to shut down a global skin care line. We discovered that Beauty Concepts was doing business at one point without the legally required licenses. In the end, Beauty Concepts didn’t really engage with us beyond demanding a lot of money.”
Micheal – who also represented ‘The Kardashian’ camp in their legal battle with Rob Kardashian’s ex Blac Chyna – outlined “since we’ve done nothing wrong, we stood our ground” as they believe its a smear campaign.
He continued: “We think the case is less about the law of trademarks and more about trying to leverage a settlement by threatening to harm Ms. Kardashian’s name and reputation. That’s not going to work and we look forward to presenting our case in court.”
Cyndie’s Beauty Concepts argue that it is a “Black and woman-owned business’ the survived the pandemic and opened a store ‘only to learn [Kim Kardashian] was launching her new brand with a strikingly similar name.”
In the cease and desist seen by gossip site TMZ, they state they reached out to Kim and her team prior to launch but were ignored.
In response, Kim’s team said: “We certainly appreciate and support small businesses, and our hat is off to Ms. Lunsford. But the question at hand is one of trademark law and we’ve not done anything deserving of legal action by her.”

The reality TV star has launched a new skincare line called SKKN and she has broken down how to use the products – admitting the whole system uses nine products worth a total of $630 – and she admits it’s not for the faint-hearted.
She told the New York Times: “(It) might seem scary to some. That’s why I’m here – to break it down, to be like, ‘They’re all necessary’ … ”
The steps include cleanser, toner, exfoliator, hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, face cream, eye cream, oil drops and night oil.
Kim revealed she always moisturises all the way down to her chest to keep her decolletage well-maintained.

Lady Gaga inspired to add arnica to make-up after fibromyalgia battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga decided to add arnica to her new make-up line after relying on the natural product to help with the pain from fibromyalgia.
The pop superstar battles chronic pain from the condition and found rubbing the natural product into her skin was more helpful than anti-inflammatory medication she’d been prescribed by her doctor – so she wanted to include it in her relaunched Haus Labs line.
She told Allure magazine: “I use regular arnica on my body all of the time for fibromyalgia. I used to take prescription medication to take down inflammation, and I actually found that didn’t really work and that arnica was much more powerful … (I wanted to) explore the healing powers of arnica on the face.”
She added of her plan: “When I started this company people told me you’ll never be able to get arnica in anything. Maybe in skin care, but never in a product. They told me it was impossible to innovate. But that’s not true – you can, you just have to be relentless.”
Arnica is used topically for conditions including muscle aches, bruises, sprains and joint pain – and Gaga’s team created a fermented arnica oil to include in highlighters and bronzers to take away the skin redness she often suffers.
Gaga explained: “So it’s treating my skin, but it’s also a very high-performance artistry product. There’s none of that bunchiness you can sometimes get when you use contour. OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham is a keen bargain-hunter and loves shopping in discount retailer Target and searching for finds in second-hand stores.
The model has opened up about her shopping habits in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, revealing she often snaps up bargains and will hit consignment stores which sell second hands goods before trying her luck with high-end brands.
She explained: “I love The RealReal, I love Amazon. It’s like a mix of high-low for me. I’m the epitome of high-low – like, I just went to Target and bought a bunch of stuff. I’m all over the place. And sustainability is a big deal too … (I will) definitely will hunt on consignment stores (before hitting luxury department stores).
However, she admitted there was one item she did splurge on – five shirts by R13 which sell for around £350 each.
She added: “I did invest in, to me, the perfect oversized white shirt, the R13, and I have three white of the same and I got it also in blue pinstripe – and there’s a crop version. Don’t come for me!”
Ashley also explained in terms of sustainability, she tries to buy pieces she will wear many times rather than succumbing to fast fashion.
She added: “I’m not really buying into big, trendy things necessarily,” she says. “I like classic, timeless pieces that I know I’ll be able to use—like, even if I put a bag away for a few years, I always kind of go back.”
The former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge went to reveal her must-haves for summer 2022 – revealing she’ll be wearing a lot of linen pieces and plenty of athleisure.

The 70-year-old designing legend – who was born and raised in the French capital – has often found inspiration in London and regrets not being present for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in early June.
He said: “I love London. I have been a lot inspired by London and always [have been]. I think it is a great city. I regret only one thing and that is I was not there for the Jubilee. I would have enjoyed to be there.”
The acclaimed designer – who founded his self-titled fashion label in 1982 and famously created the iconic cone bra dress worn by pop star Madonna – went on to explain that when it comes to the English capital, he finds people to be more liberal with their fashion choices.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Loose Women,’, he said: “Definitely, yes, I am more inspired. Because, people you know, for example about the clothes. They are more free. In France they are snobbish and everything has to be beige or gold because it’s in chic. No, in London, people express themselves and they speak with their clothes.”
When panellist Denise Welch suggested that those in London have a more “humorous” approach to fashion, he agreed and claimed that those in the city are more willing to accept and embrace different styles of clothing.
He added: “Oh, definitely, yes! I think they accept the difference I think they accept the difference and they’re attracted by those differences, which in France is not exactly the case. They are more conservative.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles has designed a line for Gucci.
The ‘As It Was’ hitmaker has collaborated with the brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele to create a capsule collected HA HA HA – the play on the pair’s initials – debuted in Milan and will arrive in stores in October.
Alessandra praised the 28-year-old musician’s – who is a noted fan of the Italian fashion house – “clear and precise point of view”.
The 44-year-old fashion designer told GQ: “Harry has a very clear and precise point of view, on top of great instinct and he chooses his clothes with much care. The idea of this capsule is banal in its simplicity, and it’s an act of love, but it has value, it’s sophisticated and we paid a lot of attention to fabrics and sartorial details. It was a lighthearted activity and easy with this kind of relationship. But the result is serious.
Alessandra told the magazine about the creative inspirations, such as “1970s pop” and “bohemian” shared between him and the ‘Golden’ hitmaker.
He said: “I proposed creating a ‘dream wardrobe’ with him, starting from those small oddities that come together in childlike visions,” Michele continues. “We ended up with a mix of aesthetics from 1970s pop and bohemian to the revision of the image of the gentleman in an overturned memory of men’s tailoring.”
In a statement, Alessandra gushed about Harry – who wore the brand on a 2020 cover of Vogue- and his “incredible sense of fashion”.
He said: “Harry has an incredible sense of fashion.”
“Observing his ability to combine items of clothing in a way that is out of the ordinary compared to the required standards of taste and common sense and the homogenisation of appearance, I came to understand that the styling of a look is a generator of differences and of powers, as are his reactions to the designs I have created for him, which he has always made his own; these reactions restore me with a rush of freedom every time.”
