Ashley Tisdale says launching her new skin care line, Being Frenshe was ‘the hardest thing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Tisdale says launching her skin care line was “the hardest thing”.
The ‘High School Musical’ star believes that people saying its not are just “putting their name on it” as she debuts her new beauty line Being Frenshe, a new offering – which is exclusively at Target and all products, including creams, cleansers and oils, are under $17 – from her lifestyle platform, Frenshe.
The 37-year-old actress told Allure magazine: “It’s the hardest thing I’ve truly ever worked on. Anyone who says it’s easy probably is putting just their name on it — [starting a beauty brand] is a full-time job.”
Ashley – who has four-month-old daughter Jupiter with her husband Christopher French, -believes her “intuition was helping” and her faith in the products she was creating.
She said: “Trusting every part of it and knowing that my intuition was helping me, and having those moments where I cried at night, but then getting back up and being like, ‘I believe in this product'”
The ‘He Said She Said’ hitmaker – who boasts 15 million followers on Instagram – had no plan to make a business but wanted to “share” her tips and tricks.
Ashley said: “I wanted to share my experience and help others through whatever they were going through — and it was just about connecting with people.”
The line includes five candles – each inspired by different moods – with scents that helped her remain “grounded” during the early days of COVID-19.
Ashley said: “I was really creating these rituals to keep myself grounded [during the pandemic], and a lot of it had to do with my candles,”
“I was realizing that, ‘Oh wow, when I open a window and light a candle, it changes my mood.'”
The range of candles – Unwind Unrest, a night time scent Soothe Comfort, inspired by the softness of cashmere Awaken Uplift, for a p
ep in your step in the AM, Joy Bliss, like a day out at the beach and finally Balance Harmony, which inspired by the former Disney Channel star’s love of nature.
Ashley said: “I really wanted a woodsier scent because I’m a huge Big Sur fan. If I really need time to heal and find balance, that’s the first place I go to.”

Luka Sabbat says the YSL show in Morocco was ‘giving ‘Dune’

OHMYGOSSIP — Luka Sabbat says the YSL show in Morocco was “giving ‘Dune’”.
The YEEZY model claimed the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2023 show in the north African desert was reminiscent of the 2021 film starring Timothee Chalamet, Oscar Isaac and Zendaya, a remake of the 1984 original and based on the 1965 book by the same name by Frank Herbert.
The 24-year-old influencer told Interview magazine:” It was giving Dune!”
Luka called the runaway’s production value “insane” as he praised all the elements involved.
He added: “I thought it was insane—from the pond, to the smoke, to the mirrored panels.”
The Vetements model claimed his “highlight” was going adventuring on dune buggies to experience local culture and delicacies.
Luka said: “The highlight was riding dune buggies out in the desert into this little village and having tea on this old man’s farm who had picked the mint fresh for us, and gave us figs and grapes.”
Of his fit on the night, he sported “denim shorts, shoes I can barely walk in, and a slightly see-through shirt.”
Luka’s favourite looks on the catwalk were “the suits and the faux-fur jacket were insane!,” before claiming he could sport them to either “the grocery store, or on the red carpet.”
The Dolce Gabbana model called Marrakech – the place where Yves Saint Laurent himself lived and died in aged 71 after withdrawing from the fashion world in 2002 – “amazing”.
Luka said: “Yes, and it was absolutely amazing. The last time I fell in love with a city it was Tokyo.”

Kaia Gerber learnt make-up skills from supermodel mum Cindy Crawford

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaia Gerber learnt all her top make-up tricks from her glamorous mum Cindy Crawford.
The 20-year-old model/actress has been following in her supermodel mother’s fashionable footsteps by landing campaigns for some of the world’s top design houses and shooting covers for Vogue magazine – and she’s now credited Cindy with helping shape her style.
Speaking to Elle magazine, Kaia hailed Francoise Hardy and Jane Birkin as her beauty icons as well as her mum who showed her how to do her make-up.
She said: “I had my mum too, not only look up to, but go to for advice. I’d sit and watch her do her make-up, she’s a lot better at it than I am because she worked during the Nineties – now no one knows how to do their own make-up. I’ve definitely learned a lot from watching her.”
Kaia went on to reveal Cindy’s top make-up tip, adding: “My mum always just said less is more, and I’ve tried to live by that. I don’t think this is true for everyone, but I feel the most beautiful when I feel like myself so I try not to overdo it because I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing a mask.”
Another rule Cindy swears by is leaving your eyebrows alone. Kaia added: “Don’t touch your eyebrows! That’s a big one. It was such a big trend when I was younger to get your eyebrows threaded or waxed or tweezed but when I started modelling I got told, ‘Don’t touch them’ and I still haven’t.
“Super skinny brows are coming back which is crazy because I thought we’d never go back to that. I’m tempted to try it but I also don’t want to mess with my brows. I’d be the person whose eyebrows never grew back and I’m too scared!”

Linda Evangelista returns to modelling for first photoshoot in six years

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Evangelista has returned to fashion by shooting her first campaign in six years.
The supermodel took a long break from the industry after undergoing a cosmetic procedure which she claimed left her looking ‘deformed’ – but she has now made a comeback in a new photoshoot for Fendi.
She shared a picture of herself starring in the fashion brands new adverts on Instagram, and wrote: “On September 9 2022 @Fendi will host a special fashion show in New York City to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the #FendiBaguette, designed by @silviaventurinifendi, and two years since @mrkimjones joined the Maison as Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear.”
The picture shows her holding two of the brand’s bags with pink sunglasses perched on her nose and three silk baseball caps stacked on her head.
She disappeared from the spotlight after undergoing a CoolSculpting procedure – which uses cold temperatures to reduce fat deposits and is also known as body contouring – and she took legal action over the op.
The 56-year-old star returned to social media this week to confirm the case has been settled and she’s keen to move on with her life.
She wrote: “I’m pleased to have settled the CoolSculpting case. “I look forward to the next chapter of my life with friends and family, and am happy to put this matter behind me. I am truly grateful for the support I have received from those who have reached out.”
Linda previously opened up about the procedure and her disappearance from the modelling industry, telling PEOPLE.com: “I loved being up on the catwalk. Now I dread running into someone I know. I can’t live like this anymore, in hiding and shame. I just couldn’t live in this pain any longer. I’m willing to finally speak.
“Why do we feel the need to do these things [to our bodies]? I always knew I would age. And I know that there are things a body goes through. But I just didn’t think I would look like this.
“I don’t recognise myself physically, but I don’t recognise me as a person any longer either. She (the supermodel) is sort of gone. I hope I can shed myself of some of the shame and help other people who are in the same situation as me. That’s my goal.”

The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, has approved 11 new labels to join the schedule for the spring 2023 women’s ready-to-wear shows and Beckham’s label is among those joining the prestigious fashion week, according to WWD.

This will be Beckham’s first return to the runway since the COVID-19 pandemic.
She last held a live show for her luxury brand in London in February 2020, before moving to online shows in September 2020 and February 2021.
Last year, the designer held an off-calendar showroom presentation in Paris.
And Victoria admitted she could not put on a London Fashion Week show in September 2021 because she could not afford it.
She said: “Let’s hope we’re out of this pandemic by September.
“I do believe the best way to see fashion is a fashion show, to see the clothes, to hear the clothes, see models in the clothes, it’s hard to find a way that can beat that. We’ve tried the best we can to show that through digital but it’s difficult.
“Will I be doing a show in September? I don’t know. If I’m being really honest, the pandemic has really affected my business.
“Will I be in a position to spend all that money on a show? I don’t know, probably not. It will probably still be digital.
“I’d love to but I’m just being optimistic and realistic at the same time. It has affected business. I’m lucky to still have a business, but doing fashion shows costs a lot of money.”
Joining Beckham and Zimmerman in Paris will be A.W.A.K.E. Mode, Weinsanto, Aigle; Anna October; Boutet, Florentina Leitner; Paula Canovas del Vas; Pressiat, and Ruohan by Ruohan Nie.

Lizzo hopes Yitty brand will make fashion more inclusive

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo hopes her Yitty brand will make fashion more inclusive for plus-size women.
The 34-year-old singer revealed that while she is happy to have her clothes custom made, she wants to make the world of fashion accessible for everyone, not only those who can afford to spend more on clothing.
She told Elle UK: “I’ve had a lot of shoots with people making outfits from scratch for me. And I’m not mad at it. Thank you. But what about the millions of people who are my size or bigger who can’t get access to chic and glamorous clothing? I don’t want to be the token big girl for the fashion world. I want to open the door. I want this for everybody.”
And Lizzo said shapewear was the obvious place to start.
She explained: “More than any piece of clothing, shapewear can make people feel ways about their bodies and, most of the time, it’s bad. I want to revolutionise shapewear. I want to change how people think when they hear the word ‘snatched’. I don’t want people to ever have to deal with a girdle again in their lives.”
While Lizzo is now happy with her body, she admitted it took time, and the support of her friends, for her to accept herself.
She said: “In doing the fake it till you make it method, I began attracting a lot of people who thought I was beautiful. In the past, a lot of people were my friend because they knew that having me around would make them feel better about themselves. But [my best friend] genuinely thought I was beautiful and helped me believe it and say it out loud.
“I was like, ‘Oh no, my [beauty] is real.’ And I think that’s an important thing. You start attracting people who see you the way you see yourself. Anyone around you is going to notice you how you view yourself.”

Brooklyn Beckham dropped by Superdry less than a year after signing up as an ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooklyn Beckham has been dropped by Superdry.
The 23-year-old model – who is the son of football legend David Beckham and ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham – signed a £1 million contract with the UK clothing brand back in November 2021 but the company has now decided to work with “other talent.”
A spokesperson for Superdry said: “Superdry works with a range of brand ambassadors and enjoyed working with Brooklyn during the launch of our new flagship Oxford Street store and during our Autumn/Winter 21 campaign. We always review the ambassadors who feature in our campaigns and decided to work with a different range of talent for Spring/Summer 22.”
In January, Brooklyn urged his 14 million Instagram followers to “lower their fashion footprint” as he posed shirtless while wearing a pair of Superdry trainers with the word “vegan” emblazoned on the soles.
Back in May, Brooklyn tied the knot with actress and heiress Nicola Peltz – who is the daughter of billionaire tycoon Nelson Peltz and Claudia Heffner – and she recently explained that the ‘Cookin with Brooklyn’ host often felt a “pressure” to please others with his career.
She said: “Brooklyn is getting into very exciting things with his shows and also business things and it’s really sweet. I watch him call my dad and say, ‘What do you think about this?’ I love watching him learn from my dad. But Brooklyn felt a lot of pressure to please people with his career and he didn’t love it. Ever since the pandemic, all he’s wanted to talk about is being in the kitchen, so I just started filming him one day. I said, ‘This is what you love.’!”

K-pop star Wonho has developed a more ‘eco-friendly’ style since going solo

OHMYGOSSIP — Wonho has developed a more “eco-friendly” style since embarking on a solo career.
The 29-year-old star was a member of Korean boy band Monsta X from 2015 until 2019 but admitted that since quitting the band he can believe outfits that are too “glamorous” can “hurt the environment.”
He said: “My style has become somewhat neater — eco-friendly [if you will]. I think, if the styling or the outfits are too luxurious, glamorous, or flashy, it hurts the environment — especially since they get thrown away so often. It’s also hard to make a lasting impression on people if the style or the concept changes too much.”
The ‘Crazy’ hitmaker – who has released album ‘Obsession’ and a string of singles since hist time in the band – even claimed that these days he prefers not to have a hair routine and joked that is current hairstyle is “very rough.”
He told Allure: “I don’t have a hair-care routine, as you can probably tell by my current hair status. It’s very rough!”
Wonho – whose real name is Lee Ho-seok – released his latest EP ‘Facade’ back in June and explained that he wanted to use the record to assure fans that he will be with them “forever.”
He said: “Through this album, I want to tell my fans that I will be with them for a long time — forever. Until the day we meet again, I would like them to continue to listen to this album over and over again; actually, that’s what I tried to capture in my outro — the message that I will stay with my fans, even when we’re apart.”

Kourtney Kardashian kept her wedding look ‘simple and timeless’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian kept her wedding look “simple and timeless.”
The 43-year-old reality star tied the knot with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in a lavish ceremony in Italy back in May 2022 and now her make up artist Leah Darcy has explained that the overall style was “just enough to look flawless in photographs.”
Leah told Poosh: “For Kourt’s wedding look, we kept it simple and timeless. It was just enough to look flawless in photographs.
When it comes to makeup, ‘The Kardashians’ star – who has Mason, 12, Penelope, nine, and Reign, seven with ex-partner Scott Disick while Travis has son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16 from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler – used a selection of products from Make Up For Ever because of their durability.
She added: “We used waterproof everything. Mascara, lipstick, and even brows. Make Up For Ever has a great line of waterproof products that are used by professionals, and they’re super long-lasting. Mascara, lipstick, and even brows.”
Meanwhile, the makeup artist revealed that she created “layered false eyelashes” for the Poosh founder to wear on her big day in order to create “extra drama” and that she managed to calm her client’s nerves by using a bucket of ice.
Leah added: “I love using individual lashes because they’re almost undetectable and make it easy to layer. For a little more drama, I cut pieces of a strip lash and layered the pieces throughout.
“I also like to keep a bucket of ice (made from purified water preferably) and a clean, damp washcloth to help depuff and cool off the skin prior to skin prep. I find this also helps to calm nerves a bit.”

Ricky Martin has suffered from skin issues since the age of 12

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Martin has suffered from skin issues since the age of 12.
The 50-year-old Latin pop star has signed up as an ambassador for Kumiko Skincare and admitted that spending most of his life on the road as a touring performer had left him forgetting about the “importance” of looking in the mirror and has eventually decided to “get closer to wellness.”
He said: “I started [to feel] this need to really get closer to wellness. Sometimes you’re on the road and this speed of life makes you forget the importance of taking time for yourself when you’re in the bathroom in front of a mirror. I’ve been on the road since I was 12 years old. I’ve dealt with all kinds of skin issues since, with the makeup that I use for hours when I’m in front of the cameras. I’ve tried all kinds of creams. All kinds of products. The list is endless. And all of sudden, Kumiko came into my life.”
The ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ hitmaker – who has been married to painter Jwan Yosef since 2017 and has twins Matteo, and Valentino 13, as well as Lucia and Renn, both three, with him – explained that the Spanish skincare brand was like something he had “never experienced” before and described the transformation as “magical.”
He told Allure: “The instant gratification that you get with Kumiko is something that I never experienced before. Literally, you try these creams at night, and in the morning, you look at yourself like, ‘Wow! This is magical!’ I contacted the founder of Kumiko, Catalina Aguirre. I told her I want to be part of this movement of wellness. I explained to her a little about where I am at this time and age. I told her everything I’ve been through with my skin. She was like, “Well, this is the solution to all your problems. I’m a little bit obsessed with Kumiko, to be honest.”

Rege-Jean Page loves that Armani Code Parfum ‘encapsulates a bunch of different feelings’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rege-Jean Page loves that Armani Code Parfum “encapsulates a bunch of different feelings”.
The former ‘Bridgerton’ star – who is the face of the the eau du toilette – believes “different circumstances” bring out each aspect.
The 34-year-old actor told InStyle magazine: “I enjoy that it encapsulates a bunch of different feelings, and they are unlocked in different circumstances or at different times of the day. So I feel refreshed where there’s kind of citrusy brightness that it has at the top, and it’s very exciting and enlightening. But I also enjoy how very quickly it then pulls you into this slightly dark, rolling mystery along the bottom, which is this other side of the intensity, which I think is the musk in the tonka bean. And then somewhere dancing in the middle of that is this complex sophistication that we’re talking about, where you get the kind of florals. You get iris. You get the vanilla. You get sage, and there’s this natural woodiness in those kind of sage and sandalwood notes.”
Rege-Jean has sported the fragrance at “different contexts” such as to the pub, Anna Wintour’s Met Gala and for a day out at the seaside.
He said: “It comes out in different contexts, the same way the different parts of myself come out in different contexts of wearing things. From wearing Code to the dive bar, to the beach, to the Met Gala. I’ve done all three of those things – and it wears differently for each one.”
Aside from the perfume he endorses, ‘The Grey Man’ star adores “the smell of rain”, calling it a “very British answer”.
Rege said: “I’ve been told this is a very British answer. I like the smell of rain because it reminds me of multiple places. It rains everywhere, but it just rains differently. The smell of rain in London is the smell of people on the bus with wet coats warming up; it’s people on the tube. Whereas the smell of rain in New York is very multi-faceted. And then the smell of rain in California is very different because it’s also so rare. And the way that it evaporates off the sidewalk or off of the earth is very different, and it releases a bunch of other scents. So I find rain to be a really fascinating one because it’s constant in and of itself, but it means different things and has different grace notes in different environments.”

Labrinth says he wanted the soundtrack of Valentino Autumn/Winter 2022 show to be ‘romantic’

OHMYGOSSIP — Labrinth says he wanted the soundtrack of Valentino Autumn/Winter 2022 show to be “romantic”
The ‘All of Us’ hitmaker – who was tasked with putting together the music for the Haute Couture show in Rome last week – wanted to add “soft” to the catwalk.
The 33-year-old rapper told i-D: “I wanted to make sure the music actually blended with the speed of somebody walking on a catwalk. Pierpaolo wanted it to be tender, with an energy of love. A lot of fashion shows, they love doing the EDM, house shit. I wanted an element of electronica and techno in there, because I love it, but I also thought, ‘How do I approach this in a soft or romantic way?’”
Labrinth revealed that the line “everything beautiful is leaning into me. And I lean into everything, I let it all become one inside of me’ – that he recited at the fashion show – was penned by his wife Muz, the mother of his two kids.
After being asked if was from a new track, he said: “No, actually, my wife Muz wrote it.”
The ‘Euphoria’ soundtracker – real name Timothy McKenzie -compared his songwriting practices to “method acting” adopted by stars such as the late Heath Ledger and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Labrinth said: “It’s like method acting. Like, for me, Heath Ledger was incredible. Or Daniel Day Lewis — you just see him in a movie, like, “How did you become this whole new person?” I see music the same way. If I want to be a funk musician, I will literally go on YouTube and watch funk artists, watch the audience, what they used to wear. Sometimes, I write music to the vibe of the artist. When I was with Kanye, his energy felt a certain way, so I would write that way. When I worked with LSD, three artists just being creative and not taking it too seriously, the music came out that way.”

Kim Kardashian is ‘more confident as a blonde’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian is “more confident as a blonde”.
The 41-year-old reality television personality leans into different personas depending on her hair colour – which she debuted at the Met Gala in May – saying when she’s darker she is “a boss”.
Kim told Allure magazine: “I’m sassier. I’m more confident as a blonde. As soon as I go back to brunette, I’m a boss.”
‘The Kardashians’ star – who is mother to North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, three, with her ex Kanye West – admitted to be a “totally different person” when she has fake nails.
Kim said: I’m also a totally different person when I have long, fake nails on. I have so much confidence — and I hate long nails! Every once in a while, I need that bitchy-boss energy. But when I have to write an essay, I’m like, ‘Get these nails off me!’ I can’t type.”
The SKKN by Kim founder also explained why she developed her own skin care line with a nine-step skin routine.
Kim said: “I wanted to create a line based on exactly what I really do. I don‘t use all of it every day, but you have to have everything for a complete routine.”
Kim admitted to “genuinely” really caring about maintaining her beauty regime and fitting in the time in her hectic life.
She said: “I care. I really, genuinely care about looking good. I probably care more than 90 percent of the people on this planet. It’s not easy when you’re a mom and you’re exhausted at the end of the day or you’re in school, and I’m all of the above. I do my beauty treatments usually late at night. After everyone’s in bed, I’m doing laser treatments.”
