Kim Kardashian insists Menendez brothers ‘are not monsters’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian has written an open letter in support of Erik and Lyle Menendez insisting the brothers “are not monsters”.
The pair are serving life in prison without the possibility of parole after they were convicted of killing their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez with shotguns at their family home in Beverly Hills in 1989 – but Kim has now insisted the siblings were not treated fairly because of the amount of media coverage of the first trial – which ended in a mistrial – and rulings by the judge which excluded evidence of claims they were sexually abused by their dad from their second trial in 1996.
In an open letter published online, Kim wrote: “The first trial was televised for all to see, and Erik and Lyle’s case became entertainment for the nation, their suffering and stories of abuse ridiculed in skits on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
“The media turned the brothers into monsters and sensationalised eye candy — two arrogant, rich kids from Beverly Hills who killed their parents out of greed. There was no room for empathy, let alone sympathy.
“Erik and Lyle had no chance of a fair trial against this backdrop. Back then, there were limited resources for victims of sexual abuse, particularly for boys.
“There were virtually no systems in place to support survivors, and public awareness of the trauma of male sexual abuse was minimal, often clouded by preconceived judgments and homophobia. Can anyone honestly deny that the justice system would have treated the Menendez sisters more leniently? ”
Kim – who is campaigning for prison reform – went on to add: “Despite overwhelming family testimony acknowledging the abuse Erik and Lyle suffered, the public remained skeptical.
“Robbed of their childhoods by their parents, then robbed of any chance of freedom by a criminal justice system eager to punish them without considering the context or understanding the ‘why’, and without caring about whether the punishment fit the crime, Erik and Lyle were condemned before the trial even began … Many people believe the crimes the brothers committed are unforgivable — but what about the decades of alleged abuse they suffered as children?”
Kim then revealed she has spent time with both brothers and she insists they should not be condemned as “monsters” – echoing the title of Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’.
She added: “I have spent time with Lyle and Erik; they are not monsters. They are kind, intelligent, and honest men. In prison, they both have exemplary disciplinary records. They have earned multiple college degrees …
“The killings are not excusable. I want to make that clear. Nor is their behaviour before, during or after the crime. But we should not deny who they are today in their 50s. The trial and punishment these brothers received were more befitting a serial killer than two individuals who endured years of sexual abuse by the very people they loved and trusted.”
Kim added she believes the pair’s life sentences should be “reconsidered” now the case is back in the spotlight, concluding: “We owe it to those little boys who lost their childhoods, who never had a chance to be heard, helped or saved”.
Kim’s letter comes as Los Angeles county district attorney George Gascón confirmed the office plans to review evidence in the case after the brothers’ attorneys asked a court to vacate their convictions.
Officials will now look over the evidence and make a decision on whether the case should be resentencing. A hearing has been set for November 29.

Sydney Sweeney is financially independent

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney is not being financially supported by her fiancé Jonathan Davino.
The 27-year-old actress has been dating Jonathan, 40, since 2018 and they got engaged last year, and she’s now moved to silence rumours suggesting her older partner pays for everything in their relationship.
She told Glamour magazine: “I’m a very successful, independent woman who’s worked really hard. I’ve accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family.”
Sydney went on to insist her partner is not a financial backer for her Fifty-Fifty Films production company, but she does like to use him as a sounding board for her ideas.
She added: “I would love to set the record straight. ou can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man. We’re teammates. We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”
The ‘Euphoria’ star went on to reveal she doesn’t take her financial security for granted since she started earning big bucks in Hollywood and she will never be able to feel “comfortable” because her parents previously went through bankruptcy .
She added: “I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything, and I am terrified of that. That fear will always be instilled in me. I’m a huge saver.
“I don’t just go and spend money. I like to invest. I like real estate. I like making, hopefully, smart choices with the money I’m making. But I don’t think I’ll ever actually feel comfortable.”
It comes after Sydney admitted she’s still struggling to adjust to life in the spotlight and remains keen to retain as much privacy as possible.
She told ES Magazine: “I think I’m still navigating it on a daily basis because I want to be as authentic and genuinely open to the public and my fans as possible. And I think I am.
“I talk a lot, I’m very open and it’ll probably be to my detriment, but I don’t know how people can hide behind an image.
“At the same time, I don’t owe people answers. I’m a very private person when it comes to my family and relationships. I want people to know who I am as an individual but also, I feel that I should still be allowed to have my own peace and private life as well.
“It’s a weird balance, I’m definitely still figuring it out.”

Daniel Bruhl was ‘miserable’ filming ‘terrible’ movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Bruhl was totally “miserable” while filming a “terrible” movie which he couldn’t quit even though he hated it.
The ‘Inglourious Basterds’ star, 44, plays a director in new TV show ‘The Franchise’ and he’s revealed the role was partly inspired by his horrible experience working on an unnamed movie – revealing it was a “painful process” because he couldn’t just walk away when things went wrong.
He told New York Post column PageSix: “There was another film that I would rather not mention that was a total s***show from day one ’til the very [end].
“[I would think] ‘How am I going to survive this? This is terrible’ …
“When you feel that something is not right, there’s no way to fix it. It’s such a painful process when you can feel something is wrong and you cannot just go, you cannot leave and then you look at your miserable face in the mirror every evening.”
However, Daniel insisted the film was not one of the Marvel projects he worked on – which have included ‘Captain America: Civil War’ – because there’s no “crazy chaos” or “absurdity” on those sets.
It comes after Daniel admitted he felt he was held back by his youthful looks when he was younger because he was unable to play roles he wanted,
He told The Independent newspaper: “From my late twenties up until 35, whenever I shaved, I’d think, ‘S***, I look like a 15-year-old!'”
Daniel recalled being offered roles for characters that were 10 years younger than his real-life age, adding: “I thought, I’ve gone through this. It doesn’t interest me any more! But nobody would believe that I’m a father or a teacher.”
However, the actor admitted he doesn’t suffer from that problem any longer. He shared: “Now when I say to my wife I look 15 when I shave, she says, ‘You wish!'”

David Gilmour will never perform with Roger Waters again

OHMYGOSSIP — David Gilmour will never perform with Roger Waters again.
The pair have been at odds for decades ever since Waters left Pink Floyd back in 1985 and launched a legal battle in a bid to get his former bandmates to stop using the group’s name without him – and now Gilmour has revealed the feud is still boiling away and dismissed any lingering hopes of a reunion by insisting he will never share a stage with his former friend again because he can’t stand his political opinions.
In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, Gilmour was asked if he will ever perform on stage with Waters again, and he replied: “Absolutely not. I tend to steer clear of people who actively support genocidal and autocratic dictators like [Russian president Vladimir] Putin and [Nicolas] Maduro [President of Venezuela].
“Nothing would make me share a stage with someone who thinks such treatment of women and the LGBT community is OK. On the other hand, I’d love to be back on stage with [late Pink Floyd keyboardist] Rick Wright, who was one of the gentlest and most musically gifted people I’ve ever known.”
The pair last shared a stage back in 2011 when Gilmour made a special appearance onstage at one of Waters’ solo performances of ‘The Wall’.
The latest flare-up comes after Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson previously accused Waters of being an anti-Semite in a post on X – formerly known as Twitter.
Gilmour shared her message along with the statement “every word demonstrably true”.
The author-and-lyricist – who worked with her husband on songs for Pink Floyd’s 1994 album ‘The Division Bell’ – appeared to be responding to an interview Waters gave to a German newspaper, in which he defended some of Russia’s actions in the war with Ukraine.
Waters has previously referred to Putin as a gangster, and said in the new interview that the country had been provoked into invading Ukraine by the actions of Nato and the US.
Sharing a link to the article, Waters claimed it had been published “against the backdrop of the outrageous and despicable smear campaign by the ISRAELI LOBBY to denounce me as an ANTISEMITE, WHICH I AM NOT, NEVER HAVE BEEN and NEVER WILL BE (sic) ”.
Samson – whose father was a Jew who fled Nazi Germany – later alleged on X: “Sadly @rogerwaters you are antisemitic to your rotten core. Also a Putin apologist and a lying, thieving, hypocritical, tax-avoiding, lip-synching, misogynistic, sick-with-envy, megalomaniac. Enough of your nonsense.”
In response, a statement on Waters’ page added he was “aware of the incendiary and wildly inaccurate comments made about him on Twitter by Polly Samson which he refutes entirely”. The statement added: “He is currently taking advice as to his position.”

John Amos wanted death announcement delayed to avoid ‘circus’

OHMYGOSSIP — John Amos wanted the announcement of his passing to be delayed so his daughter couldn’t “turn his death… into a circus”.
The late ‘Good Times’ actor’s son Kelly Christopher ‘K.C.’ Amos announced on Tuesday (01.10.24) his father passed away aged 84 on 21 August in Los Angeles, and a day later, his sister Shannon – who accused her sibling of elder abuse of their dad last year – claimed she had only found out about the loss through the media.
And now John’s long-term publicist, Belinda Foster, has claimed the actor had urged his son not to announce his death immediately because of the fraught family situation.
She said in a statement shared by People magazine: “Over the years, [John and I] grew close to one another to the point of a familial relationship. In the last few years, he often referred to me as his ‘daughter.’ This was not a fraud by John, K.C., or myself. He was like a father to me. I deeply mourn his passing.
“Shannon’s claims that John was abused are false. K.C., Eugene and I, along with numerous others cared for him. On several occasions when Shannon claimed that he was abused, law enforcement authorities sat with John and confirmed his well being…
“At the time of John’s passing, K.C. was under a strict no-contact order from the Superior Court of New Jersey based on the Complaint that his sister Shannon brought against him in 2023.
“As a condition of his Pretrial Release, K.C. is precluded from making any contact with Shannon directly or indirectly by phone, social media, or any method of communication.
“At the time of his death, John was concerned that Shannon might turn his death and interment into a circus as she had done with other aspects of his life.”
“It was John who requested the delay in announcing his death to Shannon and the rest of the world.”
The publicist’s comments come shortly after John’s “collective family and close friends”, including Shannon and the actor’s goddaughter Amy Goudy, issued a statement on Facebook in which they questioned K.C.’s treatment of his father in his final days and claimed they were suspicious after he failed to notify the rest of the family about the ‘Roots’ star’s death.
John’s death certificate showed he died of congestive heart failure and he was cremated on 30 August, but the family statement alleged they feared he was “likely cremated to avoid any potential investigation into the conditions surrounding his final days.”
They claimed the circumstances of John’s death “mirrors” that of Shannon and K.C.’s mother’s death and alleged Shannon “fought to be by her mother’s side” after her brother prevented family from being “present and making decisions together.”
They implied K.C. had acted in order to “alter potential wills and collect life insurance or other benefits”, citing alleged past struggles with addiction, mental health issues and a previous arrest record.
They added: “While we mourn the loss of our beloved father, we are also saddened and outraged by K.C. Amos’s actions.
“We refuse to rule out the possibility of foul play, especially given the involvement of two individuals, Eugene Brummer and Belinda Foster (who claims to have been John’s spokesperson), who we believe may have taken advantage of his vulnerability as an elder.
“At a time when we should be grieving and celebrating our father’s remarkable life, we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of seeking justice and clarity.”
In her response, Belinda said she was “sorry that Shannon has chosen this path, but consistent with John’s approach, I will respond to her with firmness but compassion.”
She added: “John loved Shannon but she was a difficult child to the point that John had to order that an unauthorized ‘GoFundMe’ page that she put up in June 2023 be shut down.
“For those concerned with John’s state of mind, I should note that John had interviews with PEOPLE Magazine, Variety Magazine, Hollywood Reporter, and acted in SUITS LA all recently in 2024. Medical authorities have interviewed him in the last year and found him to be mentally sound.
“For the sake of preserving John’s well-earned reputation as a superb actor and a community activist, we hope we can put to rest these nonsensical claims that Shannon is offering out of her own pain as a result of estrangement from her father.”

Andrew Garfield too ‘tired’ to have kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield is too “tired” to have children.
The 41-year-old actor – who is in a relationship with Dr. Kate Tomas – admitted reaching his 40s and playing a father in his new movie ‘We Live in Time’ made him consider whether he wants to be a parent himself, but he’s aware it isn’t an easy task.
He told Esquire magazine: “I’m already a tired guy. I don’t want to be a tired dad.”
And Andrew also acknowledged his fame makes it a tough topic to consider.
He explained: “Particularly bringing new life into the context of my life, there’s a heavy burden there.”
The ‘Under the Banner of Heaven’ star doesn’t like discussing his personal life.
He said: “I have never, and I won’t ever, speak about or confirm or deny anything about my personal life with anyone, ever.”
And he won’t use social media because “there’s no winning in that realm.”
After his breakthrough role in ‘The Social Network’, Andrew turned down a major blockbuster role in favour of starring in ‘Death of a Salesman’ on Broadway and he recalled how a conversation with the production’s director, Mike Nichols, inspired him after he asked him why he lived on New York and not Los Angeles.
Andrew recalled: “He was like, ‘Why would I ever want to live in a place where I can tell how my stock is doing according to how the valet-parking attendant is looking at me on a day-to-day basis?’
“I was like, ‘Wow. I want to go where you’re going.’ ”
The ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ star was profoundly affected by the death of his mother Lynne, who passed away in 2019 after battling pancreatic cancer.
He said: “When Mum died. I felt like half of my ambition died as well.”
And the loss, as well as the positive reaction he had been receiving for his work around that time led to him feeling satisfaction, which concerned him and led to his hiatus in order to “observe the harvest”.
He said: “Carl Jung said, ‘I see you suffered a success,’ because there’s no reckoning with the self when things are going well.”

Donna Kelce had to ‘stand still’ in her marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Donna Kelce had to “stand still” in order to raise her sons Travis and Jason amid her crumbling marriage.
The 71-year-old matriarch wanted to set a good example to the NFL stars when they were growing up by going out to work, but admitted she put some of her own ambitions on hold in order to do her best for the kids before she and Ed Kelce eventually divorced.
She told Us Glamour’s Women of the Year: The Moms issue: “I was a commercial banker for a bank in several different states. I wanted to get ahead. I worked really, really hard. I was a major breadwinner in the family.
“And I think it’s important for kids to see that a woman can do whatever she wants, but I did stand still, too.
“My husband and I knew that our marriage was not working, but we stayed together for the kids.
“Ours was a very friendly relationship. So, we could do that and make sure that their life was normal as possible. But in that one respect, I did stand still for several years until I could move on on my own.”
Donna admitted being a parent was the “most daunting” role she’s ever undertook.
She said: “Being a mom is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
“It’s so much easier to just go to work, but raising children, when they’re totally dependent on you and you’re trying to do the best you can with the limited resources that you have, it’s the most daunting task I’ve ever had to do.”
The whole Kelce family’s lives have changed because of the spotlight being on Travis – who is dating Taylor Swift – and Jason, and they can’t do ordinary things any more.
Donna said: “We can’t go anywhere, really. If we want to do something, you have to rent out the restaurant or the movie theater or whatever. I do get to sneak away every once in a while, and we go to places that nobody knows where they are.”
But with fame has come more opportunities and Donna is aware she wouldn’t have landed her role in upcoming Hallmark holiday movie ‘Christmas on Call’ without it.
She said: “It’s kind of fun to see people that have been in the industry and to try to learn from them, because I’m such a novice. I just started.
“I just have been fortunate because people know who I am.
“I know where this is coming from. I know they’re interested because of who my children are and who they know, and I just take it with a grain of salt. But it was really fun.”

Billie Eilish’s mother Maggie Baird dismisses ‘nepo baby’ claims

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish’s actress mother Maggie Baird has dismissed claims her children are “nepo babies”.
Maggie has appeared in shows such as ‘The X Files’, ‘Bones’ and ‘Six Feet Under’ – while her husband Patrick O’Connell had roles in ‘The West Wing’ and ‘Iron Man’ and a clip of Maggie’s role in hit sitcom ‘Friends’ recently sparked accusations Billie and her brother Finneas only found success in the music industry because their parents were actors.
However, Maggie is adamant the suggestion is just not true. She told Glamour magazine: “I think it’s hilarious. Because that [clip of ‘Friends’] came out, and it was like, ‘Oh, Billie is a nepo baby.’ And I’m like, ‘Did you know that I got that episode of ‘Friends’ because I was about to lose my health insurance?'”
She went on to insist the couple never made it big in the acting world, but it meant they got to spend a lot of time with their kids when they were growing up.
Maggie added: “My husband and I are working class actors. We eked out a meagre living, and it afforded us a lot of time with our kids, which was awesome.
“But the industry is primarily people like us or even people not even like us who couldn’t even do that. So when all of this happened to our kids, we’d never been on that side of it.
” I think that people don’t really understand there’s a whole industry of people who are creative and they’re working and they’re struggling, and they make perfectly happy lives, and they feel creative, and they feel fulfilled.
“But that’s a very different life than on this side of the door where you’re suddenly playing in this different arena.”
Billie’s brother Finneas previously insisted the siblings did not get an easy ride into showbusiness because of their parents’ acting work,
In a post on X – previously known as Twitter – he wrote: “During my life time, our parents were never able to fully financially support us off of their work as actors.
“Our dad worked 12 hour days 7 days a week as a construction worker for Mattel and our mom was a teacher. Our parents gave us love but knew no one in the record industry.
“Anyone who saw us tour in 2019 knows our dad insists on sweeping the stage each night before we perform.”

Dave Grohl ‘given ultimatum’ by wife Jordyn Blum

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Grohl was reportedly given an “ultimatum” by his wife Jordyn Blum after she found out he had fathered a child with another woman.
The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, went public with his marriage woes last month when he posted a bombshell statement on Instagram revealing he’d been unfaithful to his wife of 21 years and welcomed a love child – now a new report suggests he’s doing all he can to make amends to Jordyn.
A source told DailyMail.com: “‘He thinks the marriage is salvageable so why not try to fix it?
“[Jordyn] gave him an ultimatum to figure it out and he wants to regain her trust. He has to focus on her, that will be his best chance at getting back to what they had. Dave is focusing on her needs.”
The insider went on to claim Jordyn knew about her husband’s new baby long before the rest of the world found out – and going public with the news was one way to help rebuild the trust between them.
The source added: “Revealing [the affair and the baby] in the first place was his last-ditch effort to save the marriage, because Jordyn knew about it well before the world found out.
“He would rather remain married.”
Dave’s band cancelled a planed festival appearance in the aftermath of the drama and the insider claims it was also part of his plan to assure Jordyn she is his number one priority.
They explained: “He can always go back to [recording and touring] if they [the marriage] get better. She hasn’t felt like she has been number one for a long time.”
Dave – who has daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, with his Jordyn – confessed on Instagram he had a fourth child outside marriage.
He wrote: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
Dave did not reveal the identities of his mistress or their child, and signed off his admission with by saying he and his family were “grateful” for the public’s “consideration toward all the children involved” as they “move forward together”.

Drew Barrymore had ‘sexiest’ kiss with Chloe Sevigny

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore enjoyed the “sexiest” kiss with Chloe Sevigny in a hotel bathroom.
The ‘Charlie’s Angels’ star shared how she and the 49-year-old actress enjoyed an “intimate” moment at the Los Angeles Sunset Marquis hotel almost three years ago when the ‘Kitty’ director appeared as a guest on her eponymous talk show.
Drew told the audience: “We were getting together, we had a long dinner, we were talking about a story that I’m so passionate about, which ended up becoming a film that Chloë was not only in but got nominated for an Academy Award for called ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. ”
She told how the pair “bonded” at the time and decided to turn the events into a game.
She said: “We actually have a trivia question based on this. I thought I would turn our intimate fun moment in the Sunset Marquis into a trivia question for someone.”
Chloe enthused: “We should! We’re entertainers!”
Drew, also 49, then selected a woman from the audience and told her she would win $1,000 if she guessed what happened between the pair.
She asked: “We shared something in the bathroom in the ‘90s. What was it? Was it A. lipstick B. Toilet Paper or C. A Kiss?”
The audience member selected lipstick, prompting the host to quip: “Well, it did involve lipstick.”
Chloe laughed: “It was the ‘90s!”
Drew admitted: “It was the ‘90s. It was a kiss.
“We were very free and just having the best time and it was just the sexiest, cutest, most [meow].”
But the ‘Never Been Kissed’ star still gave the woman the prize even though she had guessed incorrectly.
She quipped: “Go out and buy a bunch of lipsticks, okay?”

Zendaya found Dancing with the Stars stressful

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya found competing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ “very stressful”.
The 28-year-old actress came second on the show with professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy in 2013, but she admitted she has never watched the programme since, in part because she doesn’t think she is the target audience, but also she doesn’t want to be reminded of her stint in the dance competition.
Speaking on EW’s ‘The Awardist’ podcast, she said: “I have not watched ‘Dancing With the Stars’ since I was on.
“I didn’t really watch ‘Dancing With the Stars’ before I was on ‘Dancing With the Stars’. I don’t think I was the target demographic. My grandma loves ‘Dancing with the Stars’, that’s her bag.
“But yeah, I also think it was a very stressful experience. I was like, I don’t think I’m gonna be watching this anymore.”
The ‘Challengers’ actress recently admitted she is “terrified” of fame and doesn’t believe she is “cut out” for it.
Appearing alongside her ‘Dune: Part Two’ co-stars Timothée Chalamet, also 28, and Austin Butler, 33, and director Denis Villeneuve, 56, at a screening of the sci-fi epic in New York, they were asked by an audience member about the Messianic cult in the film and whether it has any corelation to celebrity fandoms.
Zendaya responded: “I feel like, often, I am not cut out for that part of it.
“I do love my job, I’m so grateful. I love doing the work, I love being on set, I do love moments like this – don’t get me wrong – but I am terrified of that part of it, often.”
The ‘Greatest Showman’ star – who is dating her ‘Spider-Man’ co-star Tom Holland, 28 – finds it “hard to handle” being in the spotlight and wants to be seen as “a person” first and foremost.
She went on: “So I don’t know if I, either, can fully relate, but I definitely understand what you’re saying, and I think that’s what’s terrifying to me.
“I would like to be a person and for people to see me as that first.
“I don’t necessarily know if I want or can handle all of that or want [that] – some people that’s part of it, they enjoy the power that comes from it, and I don’t know if that’s for me.”

Sebastian Stan was warned off taking Donald Trump role

OHMYGOSSIP — Sebastian Stan was warned playing Donald Trump was not “safe”.
The 42-year-old star portrays the former US president in Ali Abbasi’s movie ‘The Apprentice’, which delves into his early years as a real estate businessman in New York, and he admitted he was initially hesitant to take on the project after being warned against it.
He told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “My initial reaction is, ‘Wow, how the hell am I going to do this.’
“I had people tell me not to do it. I had people tell me I don’t look like him. I had people tell me that it’s not safe for me to do it. I had people say that I shouldn’t try to alienate half the country.”
But ultimately, Sebastian found the concerns “weirdly motivating” because of his “very interesting relationship with fear.”
Despite Trump being such a divisive figure, the actor believes there is a lot about him that people can relate to, with him connecting to the Republican’s “innate need to succeed”.
He said: “I understood that drive to rise, to overcome at whatever cost, and to win. I understood that simply from my own very, very small, humble beginnings with the American dream.
“We love a winner in this country. It’s a fact that, to me, felt relatable in many ways.”
Sebastian stars in the film opposite Jeremy Strong as Trump’s notorious mentor Roy Cohn but the pair didn’t get to know one another properly under filming ended because they were so committed to their characters.
He said: “I never saw him out of costume, and he never saw me out of costume. We never really met or spoke outside of the scenes or when we were on set.”
Once filming had stopped, the ‘Fresh’ actor went to see his co-star’s Tony award-winning performance of ‘An Enemy of the People’ on Broadway and called in on the ‘Succession’ star’s dressing room afterwards.
Jeremy said: “I felt like I was meeting him for the first time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Murphy has warned Kim Kardashian should not be “underestimated” after she threw her support behind convicted murderers Lyle and Erik Menendez.
The story of the brothers – who killed their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez with shotguns at their family home in Beverly Hills in 1989 – has been brought to TV in Murphy’s new Netflix drama ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’ and Kim has since written an open letter insisting their life sentences should be “reconsidered”.
Now US prosectors are going to be examining the evidence in the case and Murphy – who worked with Kim in ‘American Horror Story: Delicate’ – insists the reality star’s influence should not be played down. He told The Hollywood Reporter: “A month before the show came out, Kim, who’s my friend, called me and asked to see it. I gave her a sneak peek, and she said she had no idea about so much of this stuff. I feel a lot of people feel that way …
“I love Kim. What she does for prison reform is amazing. I support her 100 per cent.”
He went on to add: “She went to that prison to speak to a lot of people, and she met Erik and Lyle. She talked to me about it, and Kim’s point of view is that you shouldn’t throw anybody away in prison forever. There’s always ways of rehabilitation and looking at cases in a new way – particularly if justice has not been allowed.
“I told her to do her thing. She’s passionate about justice for this case – as I think she has been for dozens of others. There’s a great power in her advocacy.”
Kim met both brothers behind bars and she is convinced the siblings were not treated fairly because of the amount of media coverage of the first trial – which ended in a mistrial – and rulings by the judge which excluded evidence of claims they were sexually abused by their dad from their second trial in 1996.
Can anyone honestly deny that the justice system would have treated the Menendez sisters more leniently?”
In 1996, Lyle and Erik were convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
This week Los Angeles county district attorney George Gascón confirmed the office plans to review evidence in the case after the brothers’ attorneys asked a court to vacate their convictions.
Officials will now look over the evidence and make a decision on whether the case should be resentencing. A hearing has been set for November 29.
