Tia Mowry shares why she’s taken a break from dating

OHMYGOSSIP — Tia Mowry stopped dating because the men she met had held on to an “infatuation” from her ‘Sister, Sister’ days.
The 46-year-old actress split from Cory Hardrict – with whom she has Cree, 16, and six-year-old Cairo – in 2023 after 15 years of marriage and while she had explored looking for love again, she’s now put “a little bit of a pause” on her quest to find a partner as she wants to find someone who cares about who she is away from the spotlight.
She told Us Weekly magazine: “I put a little bit of a pause on dating at the moment, because you don’t really know why someone is dating you.
“When it becomes very clear on why someone is dating you through their behaviours, it’s disappointing.
“I’ve realised that some people are attracted because there was some sort of infatuation growing up — you know, ‘Oh, this is the girl from ‘Sister, Sister’. “It’s like, ‘Nah. I want you to know me and love me when the makeup comes off.’”
But Tia – who starred in ‘Sister, Sister’ alongside her twin Tamera from 1994 to 1999 – knows finding the right person takes a lot of time.
She said: “You have to kiss a lot of frogs to get to your prince and that could be exhausting at times. That’s the reality of dating.”
The ‘Baggage Claim’ actress knows exactly what she wants in her next partner, particularly that they are willing to work on themselves.
She said: “There has to be awareness of their traumas [and] triggers. They have to have emotional intelligence, kindness, accountability and love for oneself.
“I’m not looking for someone perfect at all, but I do want my partner to be in therapy, and I do want my partner to be working on growth.
“I am dedicated to becoming the person that I want [to be], so I want my partner to be doing the work as well.”
Tia can next be seen shining a spotlight on her post-divorce life in ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Act’ and she hopes fans can learn from her openness.
She said: “You cannot expect to inspire or even to heal yourself if you’re closed off. The main focus that I really want to put a spotlight on is mental health.”

Wayne Bridge undergoes hair transplant

OHMYGOSSIP — Wayne Bridge has undergone a hair transplant.
The 44-year-old former footballer -who has Jaydon, 17, from a previous relationship and Parker, 10, and nine-year-old Carter with wife Frankie – had 4,085 hairs implanted into the thinning areas of his scalp using the advanced Direct Hair Implantation technique in order to boost his confidence after seeing his locks begin to thin over the last decade.
He said: “I had the hair transplant because I wanted to boost my confidence. I have been suffering from hair loss since my mid-30s and I just felt it would give me a bit of a boost to get it sorted.”
Wayne had the full support of his pop star wife in undergoing the treatment.
He added: “I told Frankie what I was doing and she was really supportive. She said ‘go for it’ and supports anything that makes me feel better about myself.”
The ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ winner underwent the procedure at DHI Global’s Clinic close to Harley Street in central London because its techniques limit the downtime and he wanted to have the treatment in the UK.
He said: “What I particularly like about this treatment is that you don’t have to have your entire head shaved. They literally pick the donor hairs out and then implant them directly where you have the bald spots with very little fuss. There is very little disturbance to the scalp and the final results are completely natural.
“It means the downtime after the operation is minimal and I can quickly get back to doing what I love, which is staying fit and enjoying time with my family.
Wayne thinks it is “great” more men are choosing to undergo hair transplants, with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Phil Tufnell among the stars of the sports world to have had the procedure.
He said: “I used to like wearing my hair long but my thinning hair became more noticeable when I grew it. I thought of just shaving it all off but a better solution was a hair transplant. You hear about women having procedures to improve their appearance all the time and it is great that it is no big deal for men now, too.
“It is great that we can all be open about it and hopefully we will inspire more men to seek help. The boost in confidence can be really good for your mental health.”
For more details, go to DHI Global’s website or visit the clinic at 43 New Cavendish Street, London, W1G 9TH.

Eminem reveals he is set to become a granddad!

OHMYGOSSIP — Eminem is set to become a grandfather for the first time.
The 51-year-old rap legend released the music video for his song ‘Temporary’ on Thursday (03.10.24) evening, and towards the end of the clip, his daughter Hailie, 28, – whose mother is Kim Scott – presented her father with a scrunched-up football T-shirt that had the word Grandpa scrawled on the back.
Immediately after that, home video footage shows a photo of a baby scan that was hidden within the football shirt, and the ‘Real Slim Shady’ hitmaker looks shocked to receive the news.
Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III – is also adoptive father to Alaina, 31, and Stevie, 22.
Just recently, Hailie – who tied the knot with Evan McClintock in in May 2024 – listened to her dad’s self-penned track ‘Mockingbird’, which deals with break-ins, drug addictions, and custody disputes, and admitted that growing up her parents managed to keep her away from “bad things” in life.
Speaking on her ‘Just a Little Shady’ podcast, she explained: “The older I get the less I can listen to any of the songs. I will say, like, watching the video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job growing up where I didn’t realise how bad things were.
“Now as like, an adult in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about. And I think that’s why I get emotional so much, like just thinking that could have happened. “Obviously that’s the point of the song, but I will say like if you’ve ever lost an addict or a loved one, I feel for you and that’s how I feel about it”.

Kathie Lee Gifford ‘can’t stand religion’ but still believes in God

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathie Lee Gifford “can’t stand religion” but still believes in God.
The 71-year-old star admitted that she can’t really understand the concept of going to Church every single week and struggles with the contradictory nature of religion but still wants to have a spiritual guide with her in life.
She told FoxNewsDigital: “I can’t stand religion. Religion puts people in chains. And Jesus comes to set us free. What do you want? You want to go someplace and sit in the same pew week after week after week and hear the same stuff that doesn’t change your life at all. Or do you want to walk with a living creator of all things who loves you and has a plan for your life and only, only, only longs for you to have fellowship with Him? That’s the only thing I’m interested in.”
The former ‘Today’ host – who has Cody, 34, and Cassidy , 31, with her late husband Frank Gifford – claimed that she’d be in an “insane asylum without Jesus” because of certain traumas she has been through in life but also feels incredibly “blessed” at where she has ended up.
She said: “I’d be in an insane asylum without Jesus. I’ve been through a lot of c***** stuff in my life. I’ve been blessed beyond belief as well. But I’ve had a lot of things that ended up being very public too, that would have put me away for a long time and done a lot of damage to my family, to my everything. I was already holding Jesus’ his hand.
“When you go through the kinds of things that I went through in the last, you know, 20 years, you just cling. You just cling tighter. You’re already there. You already have them. And I know people always talk about, you know, people coming to God in a foxhole. Fine. Whenever you come to God, it’s a good thing. The better thing is to come to know him early in your life and then cling to him for their whole life.”

Charlie Puth reveals the one thing he refused to have at his wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Puth refused to play any of his own music at his wedding.
The 32-year-old singer tied the knot with Brooke Sansone in September 2024 after just over two years of dating but admitted that playing any of his own tracks at his nuptials would’ve left him “embarrassed” so he kept things completely traditional.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘The Morning Mash Up’ when asked if he chose any of his own songs for the wedding, he replied: “No, Christian. I specifically asked for no Charlie Puth music to be played at our wedding. That would embarrass me. But I could tell that the band wanted to. They were, because we’re all musicians. I got my drink in hand. I’m married. That’s the happiest I’ve ever been. And they’re all looking at me with their horns, and they’re like you want us to, you want us to do a little, a little ‘See You Again’ on the trumpet?”
The ‘Attention’ hitmaker previously gushed following the ceremony that PR executive Brooke had made him the “happiest man alive” by agreeing to marry him.
Alongside a series of behind-the-scenes photos from their wedding day, Charlie wrote on Instagram: “I love you Brooke…I always have, with you I am my very best.
“I promise I’ll love you everyday in this life, and even more when we move on to our next.
“Brooke Ashley Sansone,
“And now you’ll be Brooke Ashley Puth
“Thank you for making me the happiest man alive
“It has always been you. (sic)”
Brooke, 25, felt that Charlie’s family home provided the “perfect backdrop” for their special day.
She told Vogue: “I wanted our wedding to marry tradition with modern unconventionality. I wanted each detail to feel relaxed yet perfectly, thoughtfully curated.
“Serving mini hotdogs on silver platters, for example, was more than just a fun detail. It was a reflection of my love for styles that blend the refined with the playful.”

The 24-year-old TikTok star – who is best known as part of the MontanaBoyz – had been dating MTV personality Kristin, 37, for seven months when they split in late September, and now a rep has claimed that he just wants to put all of his energy into his work.
The rep told E! news: “Mark has immense love and respect for Kristin and their time together. He’s focused on the future of his business and his project in development with Vice Studios.”

Speaking on her ‘Let’s Be Honest’ podcast, she said: “Mark and I broke up. It’s hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it’s not right, and it’s not because of love lost or something bad happened. He’s focused on the future of his business and his project in development with Vice Studios.”
“He’s been the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. I just know long-term he needs to experience life, he’s young… I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience. I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then, those are crucial years, those are formative years, they’re when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that.”
The former ‘Hills’ star – who was initially married to bodybuilder Jay Cutler from 2013 until 2022 and has sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, as well as eight-year-old daughter Saylor with him – “doesn’t regret” anything about the relationship and will look back on her time with Mark with nothing but “fond memories” going forward.

And I think with every relationship you learn and you grow from, and I will forever look back at Mark and I with such fond memories and just pure happiness.”

Garth Brooks accused of sexual assault by a former makeup artist

OHMYGOSSIP — Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and battery by a former makeup artist.
The 62-year-old country music star is the subject of a complaint filed in a state court in California on Thursday (03.10.24) by a woman known only as Jane Roe, who has claimed that the award-winning singer raped her during a 2019 work trip amid her time as his employee.
According to CNN, the complaint states: “Usually there were others on Brooks’ private jet but this time, Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers.
“Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a hotel suite with one bedroom and she did not have a separate room.”
The suit also accuses Brooks of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks to Roe, talking about sex and sharing sexual fantasies, regularly changing his clothing in front of her, and sending a string of explicit text messages to her.
During one alleged incident, the ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ crooner is said to have “grabbed her hands and forced them” onto his genitals immediately after he walked out of the shower.
According to the outlet, Brooks – who has been married to Trisha Yearwood since 2005 but has Taylor,31, August, 29, and Allie, 27, with his first wife Sandy Mahl – has previously denied his accuser’s claims, and tried to stop the publication of the allegations through previous complaint he filed as a John Doe.
That lawsuit states: “Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, along with the unavoidable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood that would result if she made good on her threat to ‘publicly file’ her fabricated lawsuit.”
According to the suit, the woman was employed by Brooks to act as a stylist for his wife.
Roe’s attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen and Hayley Baker said in a statement to CNN: “We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions.
“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks. The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.”

Mean Girls star Rajiv Surendra reflects on legacy of cult film 20 years after he played Kevin G

OHMYGOSSIP — Rajiv Surendra still loves being recognised for his role in ‘Mean Girls’.
The 35-year-old former actor made his single film appearance in the 2004 cult classic alongside Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert when he played Kevin Gnapoor – a Mathlete and aspiring rapper known as Kevin G – in the film that serves as a parody of the high school clique system and finds it so “rewarding” whenever a fan stops him in the street.
He told People: “I think as a teenager to have wanted to be in movies and for me to have been given one chance — like, I haven’t been in any movies since — the fact that I was in one thing that has lasted 20 years, every time someone stops me they smile, that is the most rewarding thing that I could have received from being part of this movie.”
Towards the end of the film , the character of Kevin becomes romantically linked with Janis Ian (Lizzy Caplan) but Kevin – who came out as gay in 2016 – belives that his alterego was secret interested in Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett), who becomes Lindsay Lohan’s love interest in the film.
Speaking on October 3rd – a day dubbed Mean Girls Day by fans because of a line uttered in the film – Rajiv added: “I think Kevin secretly wanted Aaron Samuels, but he wasn’t allowed to say. And today, he would be allowed to reveal his feelings to Aaron Samuels, and then Aaron Samuels was also secretly gay.”
Rajiv – who has since turned to a career in writing and content creation – also admitted that he is still in touch with his co-stars such as Daniel Franzese (Damian) as he joked that a number of them seem to have come out as gay like himself in the years since the film was released.
He said: “They reach out. Every time we’re together that comes up. Like, we just make jokes about it. We’re like, ‘Oh, we’re all gay.’ I’ve seen Lindsay a time.
“It feels like a family. I think that it feels like a family because the movie has never been forgotten. It’s like, over the years, it’s gotten bigger and bigger and bigger and the public’s response all these years has always been positive and warm.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez’s mom Mandy Teefey misses being able to do simple things with her daughter.
The 48-year-old businesswoman brought Selena, 32, up as a single mother in relative poverty in Grand Prairie, Texas but now that her daughter – who shot to fame on Disney Channel as a teenager and has gone on to become a billionaire actress, makeup mogul and pop singer – is a global celebrity, she yearns for the days that they could just “hang out” and go shopping without being recognised.
She told Glamour’s 2024 Women of the Year issue: “We used to go to Target and just hang out at Target and just shop and do silly things, but you can’t do that anymore.”
Mandy and Selena also liked to visit Disney World but admitted that these days they have to go in a separate entrace to the public and “misses” being able to see the park that is on show to the rest of the world.
She added: “You have to go in the back where all the mechanical things are, and you don’t really get to go through the park. You do miss out on that.”

She told the New York Times: “She went to one of my rehearsals with me and sat through the whole thing, not moving. On the way home, she was quiet, and then she goes, ‘You know, Mom, that might be funnier if you did it this way.’ And I thought, ‘Oh, no. She’s going to be an actor.”

Kesha reveals how Taylor Swift played a part in her latest breakup

OHMYGOSSIP — Kesha’s ex-boyfriend broke up with her when she refused to take him to a party thrown by Taylor Swift.
The 37-year-old pop singer penned her comeback single ‘Joyride’ earlier this year – which came about following the end of her legal dispute with music producer Dr, Luke – and has now revealed that the track was also inspired by a man she had been dating at the time, whom she was correctly suspected was only interested in her for her connections as a celebrity.
She told ELLE: “The second it came out of my mouth, I was like, ‘This is my first single.’ It was me busting the door back down and saying, ‘No, no, it’s time to party again!’ “We’re going to start with having fun, and then I’m going to try to dismantle all the shady s***. I had a feeling that he was in it for the wrong reasons and was a bit of a starf*****.
“I decided to test that theory and took one of my friends instead of him to Taylor Swift’s party. He came over the next day and broke up with me.”
The ‘TikTok’ hitmaker is currently single and quite happy taking herself on dates after suddenly having the epiphany that she is “the one” for herself following years of looking for her soulmate.
She said: “I’m only going to enter into a partnership again if someone treats me as well as I treat myself. I kept hearing people say, ‘I’m looking for The One.’
“I kept waiting for somebody else to fill that space, and then I just stepped into it myself. You gotta be all those things to yourself—your own boyfriend, sugar daddy, rich husband, best friend, cheerleader.
“I started taking myself on vacations, buying myself six dozen roses, and taking myself for shopping sprees at Saint Laurent. Yes, I take myself on f****** really bougie dates, like really celebrating the f*** out of myself. Then ‘Joyride’ started being written in my mind. I was like, God, I am The One, though.”

Lisa Marie Presley dealt with Elvis’ death by listening to his music when she was ‘drunk and alone’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Marie Presley used to deal with her father’s death by listening to his music when she was “drunk and alone”.
The late singer – who died in January 2023 at the age of 54 following a sudden cardiac arrest – lost her father Elvis Presley when he passed away in 1977 at the age of 42 after two decades of establishing himself as the biggest name in rock and roll, and according to her own daughter Riley Keough, 35, she struggled to “process” her grief throughout her adult life.
Speaking in a clip from ‘An Oprah Special: The Presleys — Elvis, Lisa Marie and Riley’, she said: “Her grief was very…. I don’t think she knew how to process it. “Her grief was very…. I don’t think she knew how to process. It was a very private thing for her. She would listen to his music alone, if she was drunk, and cry.
“Yes, I would walk in her room and she had speakers — because this was back in the day — and she would be sitting on the floor crying and she’d listen to her dad’s music.”
Lisa – whose mother is actress Priscilla Presley – had been working on a memoir at the time of her death, and ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ star Riley has now completed ‘From Here to the Great Unknown’ in her honour.
She told People: “Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, she was constantly talked about, argued over and dissected. What she wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope I’ve done in finishing it for her, is to go beneath the magazine headline idea of her and reveal the core of who she was.
“To turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatised, joyous, grieving, everything that she was throughout her remarkable life. I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.
“The tapes are an incredible portrait of the force of nature that she was.
“Depending on the day and her mood, she can sound locked-in or distracted, vulnerable and open or annoyed and closed off, hopeful, angry, everything. You hear her in all her complications.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George has taken up scuba diving.
The 11-year-old royal – who is the son of Prince William and Catherine Princess of Wales – “absolutely loves” the underwater sport, his dad revealed during a public engagement at the Birtley Community Pool in Tyne and Wear, England on Thursday (03.10.24) whilst meeting with Olympic swimmers Adam Peaty and Tom Dean.
He said: “George loves scuba diving. He’s 11 years old. We took him under thinking he would freak out. He absolutely loves it. It’s just introducing him to the world of water.”
In 2022, William and his wife went scuba diving amid their royal tour of the Caribbean at South Water Caye to see the Belize Barrier Reef.

The Prince and Princess of Wales – who also have Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis together – are no strangers to the water, as William played water polo for Eton College and the University of St. Andrews whilst Catherine has been known to use cold water swimming as a fitness method.
Speaking on ‘ The Good, The Bad The Rugby’ podcast in 2023, she explained to William’s cousin-in-law Mike Tindall: “The colder, the better. I absolutely love it. Slightly to the point where William’s like, ‘Catherine, you’re crazy.’ And it’s dark, and it’s raining!”
Meanwhile, Prince William also revealed that he had so wanted to visit the Paris Olympics over the summer but decided to stay home and watch the mass sporting event on television as Catherine was undergoing preventative chemotherapy , which she has now completed and recently announced that she is “cancer free”.
He said: “I was so keen to come, but I have to say after reading someone’s interview about COVID I decided, because my wife was obviously having chemo, that I didn’t want to risk bringing COVID home, so Adam very kindly reminded me that that was still a thing! But we watched the whole thing. We were glued to it every day.”

Tina Knowles knew she had to ‘protect’ Beyoncé from the start of her career: ‘It became my mission’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tina Knowles made it her “mission” to protect Beyoncé at the start of her career.
The 70-year-old businesswoman – who is mother to global superstar Beyoncé, 43, with her ex-husband Mathew Knowles – signed up to be the stylist for Destiny’s Child when her daughter first made it big in the late 1990s alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams because she was “determined” to look after them amid their sudden rise to fame.
She told Glamour: “Very early on, I started doing the girls’ hair to earn my keep, so that I could travel with them because I wanted to protect them—not because I wanted to go and be on planes every day, because there was nothing glamorous about it, but it was to protect my kids. The industry can chew you up and spit you out. And I was determined that there were not going to be certain elements around them and that they weren’t going to get eaten up by that. It just became my mission. Those are your kids, and you want to protect them and they need protection. Trust me, they need it.”
Tina – who is also mother to 38-year-old singer Solange Knowles – has seen her eldest go on to become one of the biggest music artists in the world but is most “proud” that she managed to instill a discipline into her children that has prevented them from letting the world of show business go to their heads.
She said: “There are so many proud moments, and it might sound cliché, but it’s the truest statement I could ever make: I’m the most proud when they do something that is artful that they love, but that also has good repercussions on the world. I can’t stop smiling. After a while, you get kind of used to the big moments, but those kinds of moments are really, really different.
“I’m proud to say that I do see the things that I instilled in them—treat people well, do not get stuck on yourself—because we had some moments where I was like, ‘Listen, they can pick up their own suitcases.’
“You look people in the eye, say hello, don’t turn into a diva. That’s not going to work here.’ You have to teach your kids that. I don’t believe that that’s something that they just get, because everybody’s trying to handle everything for them and kissing their butts sometimes. And I am like, “No, no, no, you’re not helpless.
“So I’m most proud when they’re good people.”

Kim Kardashian insists Menendez brothers ‘are not monsters’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian has written an open letter in support of Erik and Lyle Menendez insisting the brothers “are not monsters”.
The pair are serving life in prison without the possibility of parole after they were convicted of killing their parents Jose and Kitty Menendez with shotguns at their family home in Beverly Hills in 1989 – but Kim has now insisted the siblings were not treated fairly because of the amount of media coverage of the first trial – which ended in a mistrial – and rulings by the judge which excluded evidence of claims they were sexually abused by their dad from their second trial in 1996.
In an open letter published online, Kim wrote: “The first trial was televised for all to see, and Erik and Lyle’s case became entertainment for the nation, their suffering and stories of abuse ridiculed in skits on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
“The media turned the brothers into monsters and sensationalised eye candy — two arrogant, rich kids from Beverly Hills who killed their parents out of greed. There was no room for empathy, let alone sympathy.
“Erik and Lyle had no chance of a fair trial against this backdrop. Back then, there were limited resources for victims of sexual abuse, particularly for boys.
“There were virtually no systems in place to support survivors, and public awareness of the trauma of male sexual abuse was minimal, often clouded by preconceived judgments and homophobia. Can anyone honestly deny that the justice system would have treated the Menendez sisters more leniently? ”
Kim – who is campaigning for prison reform – went on to add: “Despite overwhelming family testimony acknowledging the abuse Erik and Lyle suffered, the public remained skeptical.
“Robbed of their childhoods by their parents, then robbed of any chance of freedom by a criminal justice system eager to punish them without considering the context or understanding the ‘why’, and without caring about whether the punishment fit the crime, Erik and Lyle were condemned before the trial even began … Many people believe the crimes the brothers committed are unforgivable — but what about the decades of alleged abuse they suffered as children?”
Kim then revealed she has spent time with both brothers and she insists they should not be condemned as “monsters” – echoing the title of Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’.
She added: “I have spent time with Lyle and Erik; they are not monsters. They are kind, intelligent, and honest men. In prison, they both have exemplary disciplinary records. They have earned multiple college degrees …
“The killings are not excusable. I want to make that clear. Nor is their behaviour before, during or after the crime. But we should not deny who they are today in their 50s. The trial and punishment these brothers received were more befitting a serial killer than two individuals who endured years of sexual abuse by the very people they loved and trusted.”
Kim added she believes the pair’s life sentences should be “reconsidered” now the case is back in the spotlight, concluding: “We owe it to those little boys who lost their childhoods, who never had a chance to be heard, helped or saved”.
Kim’s letter comes as Los Angeles county district attorney George Gascón confirmed the office plans to review evidence in the case after the brothers’ attorneys asked a court to vacate their convictions.
Officials will now look over the evidence and make a decision on whether the case should be resentencing. A hearing has been set for November 29.

Sydney Sweeney is financially independent

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney is not being financially supported by her fiancé Jonathan Davino.
The 27-year-old actress has been dating Jonathan, 40, since 2018 and they got engaged last year, and she’s now moved to silence rumours suggesting her older partner pays for everything in their relationship.
She told Glamour magazine: “I’m a very successful, independent woman who’s worked really hard. I’ve accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family.”
Sydney went on to insist her partner is not a financial backer for her Fifty-Fifty Films production company, but she does like to use him as a sounding board for her ideas.
She added: “I would love to set the record straight. ou can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man. We’re teammates. We’re in it together. And we want to see each other succeed.”
The ‘Euphoria’ star went on to reveal she doesn’t take her financial security for granted since she started earning big bucks in Hollywood and she will never be able to feel “comfortable” because her parents previously went through bankruptcy .
She added: “I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything, and I am terrified of that. That fear will always be instilled in me. I’m a huge saver.
“I don’t just go and spend money. I like to invest. I like real estate. I like making, hopefully, smart choices with the money I’m making. But I don’t think I’ll ever actually feel comfortable.”
It comes after Sydney admitted she’s still struggling to adjust to life in the spotlight and remains keen to retain as much privacy as possible.
She told ES Magazine: “I think I’m still navigating it on a daily basis because I want to be as authentic and genuinely open to the public and my fans as possible. And I think I am.
“I talk a lot, I’m very open and it’ll probably be to my detriment, but I don’t know how people can hide behind an image.
“At the same time, I don’t owe people answers. I’m a very private person when it comes to my family and relationships. I want people to know who I am as an individual but also, I feel that I should still be allowed to have my own peace and private life as well.
“It’s a weird balance, I’m definitely still figuring it out.”
