Stevie Nicks: Success is 'hard' now

OHMYGOSSIP — Stevie Nicks thinks it is “very hard” to find success now.
The ‘Landslide’ hitmaker – who shot to fame as part of rock group Fleetwood Mac – admits it is difficult to make it in the music industry at the moment but says it can work as long as the person is willing to work hard.
She said: “I think it’s very hard now. That does not mean that it can’t happen. Look, it happened for Adele. Adele is certainly someone who writes great songs and has an amazing voice. Why did it happen for Adele? It’s because the stars crossed exactly at the right time, who knows. Whatever it was she worked very hard at it. I think that’s the thing.”
The 68-year-old singer recalls how she decided to make a big step and move to Los Angeles with her boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham.
She added to The Huffington Post newspaper: “You have to figure out a way, if you’re eighteen or moving out of your parents house because you have to figure out a way to play and also support yourself. If everybody is like how my parents were, oh boy, I went to college for five years. I stopped after five years and had three months left to graduate. I called my parents and I said ‘My boyfriend Lindsey and I are going to LA.’
“They said, ‘Well, that’s fine we totally believe in you and support your theory in what you’re doing.’ I said, ‘Mom, we have to go now. It’s now or never.’ She said, ‘Cool, however, we will be withdrawing all financial support.’ And I said ‘I know that and it’s okay. We are going and I will be okay.’ And it was okay.”

Liam Hemsworth's 'sleepless nights'

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Hemsworth had “a lot of sleepless nights” before his shirtless scene in ‘The Dressmaker’.
The 26-year-old star was nervous about getting his kit off for a scene in the drama and “didn’t eat for weeks” ahead of the shoot.
He said: “I didn’t eat for weeks. I did some pushups in my trailer. Anytime you’re going to come out and take your top off, it’s good to do a couple of pushups … It’s very difficult to come out and just take your clothes off.
“There were lots of sleepless nights. It’s very, very difficult to just come out and take your clothes off.”
And co-star Kate Winslet sympathised with the ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ actor as she could hear his stomach gurgling during their scene.
She added to E! News: “When I would get to the point [in the scene] where I had to measure his waist, I would actually hear his stomach growling. I would think, ‘Poor darling. Let’s get the scene done.'”
Meanwhile, the film’s director Jocelyn Moorhouse previously gushed about Liam, insisting he looks “impressive without his clothes on”.
She said: “It was a potentially embarrassing scene for him. But then again, he’s quite impressive without his clothes on so he really had nothing to do worry about. Kate and Judy were having a great time doing as many takes as possible.
“We didn’t have much time to rehearse. Liam had come straight off of ‘The Hunger Games’. We had one read-through the night before and then as soon as I saw him looking at her with those beautiful blue eyes of his and the way she looks back at him, I was thrilled. I knew, yeah, instant chemistry! These two are gorgeous together.”

James Marsden wants Matt Damon's career

OHMYGOSSIP — James Marsden would love to emulate Matt Damon’s career.
The ‘Best of Me’ actor has praised ‘The Martian’ star for being able to get the perfect balance between starring in big films and managing to stay out of the spotlight.
He said: “Matt Damon has been one of my favourites forever. He always elevates every bit of material, and then you don’t hear a thing about him.
“It’s like, ‘No, I pretty much wear a T-shirt every day of my life, and I don’t really have any dirt.’ I love that. If you were to ask me what career I would choose, I’d be like, ‘That. One hundred percent.'”
And the 43-year-old actor believes he has been in his fair share of both good and bad movies but insists he is always striving for greatness.
He added: “If it wasn’t me, I’d look at my stuff and go, ‘He’s been in everything. Turn on the cable, and he’s on there. Good movie, bad movie, good movie, bad movie.’ We all want to be great. Of course.
“Everybody wants that. I’d be lying out of my ass if I told you that I didn’t want to be. When I was younger, I used to feel like, ‘Yeah, there are certain roles out there that may go to other actors who are bigger than me and have more pull.’ And that can be frustrating.”
Meanwhile, James also admits he regrets turning down a role in ‘Magic Mike’.
He told the October issue of GQ magazine: “Soderbergh is one of my favorites, but I didn’t know if I trusted myself to be good enough in this to not have my two dozen lines end up on the editing-room floor.
“I’d look like a naked extra in this movie. It’s perfect the way it worked out, but that’s one of the only ones I’m like, Hmm. I didn’t know it was gonna be the massive success that it was.”

Kris Jenner wants Khloe Kardashian to be happy

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner just wants Khloe Kardashian to be happy.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star approves of her daughter’s new romance with basketball star Tristan Thompson.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I have met Tristan, he’s a wonderful guy.
“I have met him and he’s great. Khloe is a delicious girl. I just want her to be happy [and] having a good time.”
The 60-year-old television personality recently revealed she loves spending time with her daughter and the rest of her family so much so that she tries to finish at 5pm every day.
She said: “Some days that is more successful than others! I’m so lucky that my kids all live nearby so we are always spending a lot of time together.
“I love to have family dinners, barbecues or movie nights with my grandkids. A lot of the time we’re all moving at a million miles a minute, so it’s important to slow down, relax and enjoy the greatest pleasures in life: my wonderful friends, my amazing children and my beautiful grandkids.”
The whole family have spent most of their lives on camera, filming for their E! reality show, and Kris admits she sometimes wishes her life was “a little more private”.
She added: “We’ve been doing the show for nearly a decade, and since the show started we’ve opened up our homes to everyone and invited people into our lives, which means showing you the good along with the bad.
“As people got to know us through years of watching the show, we found that it wasn’t really possible, nor would it be authentic to who we are and what the show is all about, if we tried to keep things from being filmed. There are moments that you wish could be a little more private, but the show has opened up so many doors to so many incredible opportunities, and I wouldn’t change that for anything.”

Chris Pratt's six month break

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt is taking a six month break from acting.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star is looking forward to spending more time with his wife Anna Faris and their four-year-old son Jack.
He told Parade magazine: “I’ve been on the road for 14 months – I did three movies back to back to back – so I’m taking six months off.
“I’m taking Jack to Jack’s Beach – which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place. We’re going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that’s still there. If not, we’re going to build it again.”
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old actor previously admitted he is having his “dream summer” after shooting three movies, ‘Passengers’, ‘The Magnificent Seven’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’, in a row.
He said: “It was 14 months on the road, so it’s nice not to have time to myself but to have time with my family. It’s been really great and a very much a needed thing so we’re thrilled. We’re fishing, crabbing, having fires, sitting around having dinner together, it’s just been great, the dream summer that we’ve all been waiting for.”
But Chris insists he has no problem heading back on the road briefly to promote his films as he “really likes” talking about himself.
He added: “This part is really grueling for a lot of people, I don’t find it to be super grueling. It’s kind of a natural fit for me, I really like talking about myself.
“I was a door-to-door salesman for a long time, so walking into a roomful of strangers and talking about something I am enthusiastic about is a lot easier than walking into a room full of strangers and talking about something I don’t care about. Luckily I’m really enthusiastic about this movie so it makes it really easy.”

Nicky Hilton is a natural mom

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicky Hilton Rothschild has taken to motherhood like a “duck to water”.
The 32-year-old socialite welcomed daughter Lily Grace Victoria into the world two months ago and is a natural mom, according to Lily’s grandmother Kathy Hilton.
Speaking to reporters at the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Prevention Summer Spectacular in Beverly Hills, California, she said: “She’s unbelievable. Her computer and her phone have just been in the same place. We spent a month together out in the Hamptons and she’s breastfeeding and it’s a full time job – literally a full time job – so she can’t go anywhere for more than an hour. I think we went out twice.”
And Nicky – who is married to James Rothschild – has a much more scheduled approach to motherhood than her own mother did.
Kathy added: “With my babies, if I wanted to go pick them up I would just go in the room in the middle of the night, but Nicky is very much on a schedule. This is nap time, this is tummy time, so I’m just kind of like, ‘Okay’ …
“I’ll tell her certain things, but she’s read up on everything.”
Meanwhile, Nicky previously admitted she is loving married life.
She said: “It just feels more official. When you wake up and you look down and you have a wedding band and you’re married. You’re introducing as your husband or your wife – it’s nice. I highly recommend it. If you find the right person, absolutely. It’s so much fun.”
Nicky also previously spoke of her desire to have a child.
She shared: “Definitely, we want to have children in the future. Not right away.”
Whilst a source added: “Nicky is planning to have kids soon, and Paris loves the idea of them being pregnant at the same time.”

Maisie Williams' future fears

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Williams is “nervous” about the future.
The 19-year-old actress has played Arya Stark in the HBO drama series since its inception, and with the show set to conclude in 2018 after eight seasons, she is anxious about losing the “safety blanket” of regular work, though she insists she’s also excited to be able to try more new things.
She said: “I’m both excited for the future and very nervous. Up until this point, [if] there’s ever been a role that I have not landed and it’s been upsetting, we’ve had a safety blanket.
“But we still have another year of ‘Thrones’ and there will be something still keeping my face current and spurring my career.
“With that coming to an end, it’s both exciting, because there’s more opportunity to do other projects, but also scary, because maybe people won’t want me.”
However, Maisie admitted she would be open to the idea of a ‘Game of Thrones’ movie, if the much rumoured project ever came to fruition.
According to Elle.com, she told reporters: “As long as the story is believable and not overdrawn, I’m happy to be a part of anything that HBO decides.”
After spending so long working on the show, the British actress admits playing Arya has “shaped” her as a person and she hopes her alter ego has inspired other young girls.
She said: “It’s really shaped the sort of person I’ve become.
“Being in this industry, I’ve had to learn quite quickly the sort of person that I am. People always say ‘Don’t change’, and so to not change, you have to figure out the kind of girl you are, who you want to be, and how you want to be perceived by others.
“Playing Arya has definitely helped with that and been a massive inspiration for me and for a lot of girls around the world.”

John Travolta flew to Emmy Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — John Travolta flew himself to the Emmy Awards.
The 62-year-old actor attended Sunday’s (18.09.16) ceremony with his wife Kelly Preston and their 16-year-old daughter Ella Bleu and arrived in style as the qualified pilot used his private plane to get the family to Los Angeles.
And with his show ‘The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’ – which he produced, as well as starred in as attorney Robert Shapiro – picking up 10 Emmys, John promised to take good care of his statuette on the flight home.
He said: “Oh, I’ll take it with me. I have to, ’cause you know, they’re rarified. How often do you take home an Emmy? I have two Oscar nominations, but they’re nominations. This time I get to take home an Emmy. It’s nice.”
John also paid tribute to his late son Jett, who died after suffering a seizure in 2009 aged 16, as he thanked his loved ones for their support.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, he said: “The biggest thanks has to go to Ryan Murphy, because he made this all possible. And my family: Kelly, Ella, Ben and then my little Jetty, I love you all so much.”
And with his co-stars Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, and Sterling K. Brown all honoured for their roles on the show, John vowed to “stay up all night” celebrating with his castmates.
He said: “We promised each other we would have some drinks.
“We’re gonna stay up all night. I will report to you next time I see you if everyone kept to that promise.”
But the actor was still stunned by how successful a night the show had had.
He said: “I don’t know if anyone can predict this level of success.
“I knew that we had the quality of communication going, and I knew it was going to be enlightening to people, but to predict 22 nominees and 10 wins – thank you – is unbelievable. I mean, this was a revelation.”

Kiefer Sutherland still wants 24 film

OHMYGOSSIP — Kiefer Sutherland still wants to make a ’24’ movie.
The 49-year-old actor may have turned down the chance to portray government agent Jack Bauer for a tenth season of the long-running real time TV show, but he insists he hasn’t closed the door on his alter ego for good.
He said: “I know never to say [no more Jack]. It doesn’t mean that we can’t make the film.
“It’s a character that I love until the day I die.”
Though it was previously speculated Kiefer would make a cameo in upcoming reboot ’24: Legacy’, he insists that would never happen.
Speaking of a possibly return to the character, he vowed: “It will not ever be [for] a series again.”
One of the reasons why Kiefer has vowed not to make another series is he doesn’t feel it would be fair to fans, after the 2014 limited-series revival 24: Live Another Day’ was billed as the last outing for Jack.
He explained: “The whole hook to get an audience back to watch it was, this is a one-time deal, so you should watch it–and then, when it worked out for us, go, oh, we decided to do another one? I don’t think that’s right.
“[And] how many bad days can one guy have before it starts to look stupid? Probably about seven, but we did nine!”
Kiefer – who will act as executive producer on ’24: Legacy’ – insists his not being in the show shouldn’t matter to its success.
He told Adweek magazine: “The truth is, I’ve always believed that the star of that show was the idea of putting a time restriction on it.”
And Gary Newman, co-CEO and co-chairman, Fox Television Group, admitted it was important to the network to have Kiefer involved in some way.
He said: “Hopefully, it sends a message to the fans that this is not disloyal to Kiefer, and that they’re able to embrace this new cast.”
Kiefer is now busy on his new TV show ‘Designated Survivor’, and he admits it would be a “very sad day” if his career ever came to an end.
He said: “It’s all I know. It’s the one thing anybody ever told me I was good at my whole life.
“It would be a very sad day for me if someone came to me and said, you’re not allowed to do this anymore.”

Rob Kardashian is making pregnant Blac Chyna 'comfortable'

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian is making Blac Chyna “comfortable” during her pregnancy.
The 29-year-old television personality – who is expecting his first child with his fiancée in November – has reportedly been pampering the 28-year-old model by giving her massages and foot rubs.
A source said: “Rob definitely pampers Chyna at home. He rubs her feet and gives her lots of shoulder massages to make sure she feels good. Rob is making sure she’s comfortable.”
The ‘Rob & Chyna’ stars are known for having dramatic fall outs, but the insider added that they always “quickly” resolve their spats and they are just “happy” and “excited” for the arrival of their little girl.
The insider told E! News: “They have their minor spats, but it doesn’t ever last very long and they tend to resolve things quickly.
They are totally good right now though, happy and excited for a baby girl.”
Meanwhile, the sock designer is said to get on very well with Chyna’s three-year-old son King Cairo – who she has with ‘Rack City’ rapper Tyga, who is Rob’s half-sister Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend – and they have a “cute” bond together.
The source added: “He likes Rob and they have a cute little relationship. King likes to show Rob his toys.”
And it seems the couple are on top of everything regarding the birth of their child, with Chyna already looking into the benefits of breastfeeding, and hinting she will eat the unborn tot’s placenta.
Discussing how she feels “obligated, in a sense” to breastfeed, she recently said: “Maybe [it’s] my motherly instinct.
“Just reading and knowing the pros of breastfeeding for your baby, and just recently I found out some new, cool stuff about not cutting the cord and sending your placenta, you can get these pills to take them after to make you and the baby healthy.
“If you notice dogs and cats, when they have their babies, they eat the placenta.
“You’re like, ‘No, don’t do that!’ But they do, it’s a healthy thing.
“I feel like with my second baby, I’m more educated than the first one.”

Amanda Abbington loses bag at Emmys

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Abbington has claimed her handbag was stolen when she went to collect her Emmy award.
The 42-year-old actress had joined her castmates in accepting the accolade for Outstanding Television Movie for ‘Sherlock: The Abominable Bride’, but when she returned to her seat in the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, her belongings were no longer there.
She tweeted: “Thanks for the lovely tweets re; the Emmy’s. So pleased we won! Cool, right?
“However, we went up to collect the Emmy, did some press, came back to my seat and some b*****d had nicked my purse from under my seat. Nice
“Had my phone and driver’s licence in it. So whoever took my purse, I hope some terrible Karmic s**t happens to you. How c***py is that.(sic)”
And Amanda – who has two children with her ‘Sherlock’ co-star Martin Freeman – even waited until everyone had left the building after the show to check it hadn’t been handed in to staff by mistake.
When a Twitter user suggested it could have accidentally been kicked away from her chair and then given to staff, she replied: “No, I hung around until everyone had left the auditorium. Nothing there.”
Emmy Awards producers hire seat fillers to take up empty chairs during the ceremony, but it is unclear whether or not Amanda’s was occupied when she took to the stage.

Beyonce too sick for Emmy Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce was too sick to attend the Emmy Awards.
The ‘Formation’ singer was nominated for the Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for her HBO ‘Lemonade’ special and had reportedly been due to attend Sunday (18.09.16) evening’s ceremony – where she lost out to ‘Grease: Live’s Thomas Kail and Alex Rudzinski – but pulled out at the last minute because she was unwell.
A source told E! News: “She wanted to be there. But at the last minute, decided it was better if she stayed home because she really was feeling that bad.”
The 35-year-old star had planned to attend with her husband Jay Z – and her mother Tina Knowles.
Beyonce wasn’t the only star whose absence at the ceremony was noted.
Dame Maggie Smith was awarded the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series accolade for the fourth time but, once again, the 83-year-old actress – who has been nominated for nine Emmys over the years – failed to attend the ceremony.
After her win was announced, the evening’s host Jimmy Kimmel took to the stage in faux protest and joked that in future, the award would be given to someone else if the winner wasn’t there to collect it.
Expressing his frustration that the veteran star has never attended the prestigious ceremony, he joked: “No, no, no, no, no. We’re not mailing this to her. Maggie, if you want this, it’ll be in the lost and found.
“You must be present to win. If we call your name and you’re not here to accept, the Emmy goes to the next name on the list. It’s called the Maggie Smith rule.”
‘Bloodline’ star Ben Mendelsohn, who scooped the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama, was also absent so ‘Empire’ star Taraji P. Henson said she would take home the trophy on his behalf after announcing his win.
She said: “I’ll have it at for home when you get back, Ben. Thanks!”

Elton John shares stage with new artists

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John showcased his favourite new artists as he kicked off the Apple Music Festival 10 in London on Sunday (18.09.16).
The 69-year-old musical legend didn’t have a support act for the show at the Roundhouse in Camden, but instead invited Rosie Lowe, Parker Millsap, Gallant and Christine and the Queens to share the stage with him during his near-two hour set.
Each of the acts performed one of their own songs, backed by Elton on piano, before sharing vocals on one of his classic hits, with Gallant’s impressive falsetto on ‘Benny and the Jets’ a particular highlight, while 2016 breakout star Christine and the Queens rendition of her own ‘Tilted’ – before singing ‘Tiny Dancer’ – was met with cheers and wild dancing from the packed-out crowd.
Elton also performed some of his own new music, with a few tracks from his latest LP ‘Wonderful Crazy Night’ interspersed with classic sing-a-long hits such as ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues’, ‘Your Song’ and ‘Crocodile Rock’.
He ended his set with a rousing rendition of ‘Saturday Night’s All Right For Fighting’, for which he invited his four guests back on stage.
The ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ singer – who frequently plays new artists on his own ‘Rocket Hour’ show on Apple’s Beats 1 radio – admitted he loves discovering new artists.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Monday (19.09.16), he said: “When I hear new music – and there is a lot of it around – it keeps me young and on my toes.
“I know all the great music, it’s all in my head but when you hear something new and that is so great, it really does inspire me.”
The Apple Music Festival continues until September 30 with performances from the likes of The 1975, Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, Michael Buble, Alicia Keys and Robbie Williams.
And Elton is very impressed with the quality of the “very diverse” line-up that will be performing at the 10th anniversary of the free event.
He said: “I listen to their records. It’s a very diverse bill and that is what Apple Festival is about and that is what it should be about. Diversity.
“It’s all about the songs really. That keeps you in the forefront.
“There are all really good artists and great songwriters, proper artists and not top 10 c**p artists.”
For those who were unavailable to catch Elton in person, the show – and the rest of the festival gigs – is available live and on-demand to Apple Music members in 100 countries.

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams get matching tattoos

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams have had matching tattoos.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ stars have had the date ‘07.08.09’ – when they learned they had been cast as Sansa and Arya Stark respectively – permanently etched onto their skin as a sign of their friendship and a reminder of their time on the show.
Sophie said: “She’s one of my best friends in the whole world. We got matching tattoos.
“That’s the date that we both heard that we got ‘Game of Thrones’ on…I got it the other day. [It’s] still a bit crusty.”
The two actresses initially intended to get the inkings when the fantasy drama comes to an end, but with the high death toll on the HBO saga, they decided it was best to take the plunge now as they have no idea what’s in store for their characters.
Speaking on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards on Sunday (18.09.16), Sophie told E! News: “We always kind of said we want matching [tattoos].
“The date was always really significant…and then with ‘Thrones’ we were always planning from season one, like if we make it all the way through, hopefully we could all get a matching thing.
“We don’t know if we’re going to make it so Maisie and I were like, ‘Let’s get these ones before anyone kills us!’ ”
And the 20-year-old star admitted she had had the inking done in peach to make it less visible because her mother doesn’t approve of the body art.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I got it in peach because my mom wanted it to be as invisible as possible, but now I’m showing it to everyone. She’s going to be so annoyed.”

Ed Sheeran cut from The Beatles: Eight Days a Week movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran’s cameo was cut from ‘The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years’ movie.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker is a big fan of The Fab Four, even owning a guitar signed by Sir Paul McCartney, and was asked to record a segment for Ron Howard’s documentary on the band about their years on the road.
However, the 25-year-old singer won’t be seeing himself on the big screen anytime soon as his piece didn’t make the final version of the movie.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ed had recorded a segment for the film, but it failed to make the final cut along with a load of other talking heads by Ron who wanted to make more time for The Beatles themselves. Ron had to be ruthless, but Ed will be gutted. He’s crazy about The Beatles and has grown really close to Paul over the past couple of years, even introducing him to his dad.”
Ed developed a friendship with Paul, 74, when he performed at the recording of the 2014 Grammy Awards Beatles tribute ‘The Night That Changed America’ – which marked the 50th anniversary of the ‘Ticket to Ride’ hitmakers’ appearance on ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’.
Speaking about the documentary’s editing, drummer Ringo Starr said: “When we saw the first cut there were a lot of other people doing a lot of talking, which I believe he’s cut out now and it’s mainly me and Paul talking and it’s better.”
But his efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Ed was given a small thank you in the credits, which read: “The producers would like to give very special thanks to the following for generously giving their time to assist with the film.”
Among the talking heads that did make the movie were Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Curtis and Elvis Costello.
But despite missing out on The Beatles documentary, Ed fans can still catch the star’s acting skills in the new film ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’.

Rami Malek cried over Jimmy Kimmel at Emmys

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek cried all over Jimmy Kimmel at the Emmy Awards.
The 35-year-old actor picked up his very first Emmy award on Sunday (18.09.16) when he took home the gong for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for his performance in ‘Mr. Robot’, and to say he was emotional would be an understatement.
Speaking to reporters backstage, the star said: “The emotion just poured out of me. I was hugging Jimmy Kimmel and crying at the same time. I was trying to not get anything on his suit. I truly was waiting to hear someone else’s name. When I heard my name, I said, ‘Do not move. Because it wasn’t you.’ And faces started to turn toward me. I must have looked like I was in shock.”
The win for Rami – who was born in Los Angeles to Egyptian parents – is also a positive step towards a more diverse award ceremony, and the ‘Need For Speed’ actor admitted his win means the industry can continue to “strive to be as progressive as possible”.
He said: “For me to stand here as not the typical leading man and coming home with this speaks a lot about where we are headed. And we can go further in that direction, not just in entertainment, but socially and politically, to strive to be as progressive as possible.”
And Rami – who won his award for his portrayal of the socially awkward and reclusive Elliot Anderson in the hit series – also made sure to honour outcasts everywhere when he accepted his award, saying there was “a little bit of Elliot in all of us”.
He said: “I play a young man who is, like so many of us, profoundly alienated. And the unfortunate thing is I’m not sure how many of us would want to hang out with a guy like Elliot. But I want to honour the Elliots, cause there’s a little bit of Elliot in all of us.”
