OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard’s faith played a “major part” in getting him through being accused of historic sex offences.
The ‘Devil Woman’ hitmaker as subject to a 22-month long investigation after four sex abuse allegations were made against him during 1958 and 1983, but never arrested or charged, and credits his strong Christian beliefs and the support of his friends and fans in helping him endure the scandal.
He told Britain’s HELLO! magazine:” My faith has played a major part. God has looked after me and I’m even more aware of that fact now.
“But most of the time it was because I got support from everybody. Whether I was in the street or at the airport, I got the thumbs-up from people and for that I’m so grateful.”
The 76-year-old star admits the experience has changed his outlook on life but he feels more fortunate than ever.
He said: “I have a whole different approach to life now.
“It’s been a terrifically big lesson for me and has made me aware of how important love is.
“You don’t consider how fortunate you are until something like this happens to you.
“So to all those people who supported me, I would like to say, ‘Thank you very much. I don’t think it would have been as easy to get through had it not been for you.’ ”
And Cliff – who is planning to sue both the BBC and the South Yorkshire police for naming him as the suspect in the child abuse case, and for publicly broadcasting a raid on his Berkshire mansion in 2014 – is hoping his ordeal will make him a “stronger” person.
He said: “It’s so nice to be doing things I’m used to doing and getting back to some form of normality.
“I’ve spent two years in complete silence because I decided it was best not to say anything in public. It was a matter of being patient.
“I got through it, but I’ll never get over it.
“It’s an experience I wouldn’t want to repeat or for anyone else to go through. They say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and I’m trusting this is true. I’m feeling stronger already.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga has helped heal her father’s broken heart after the passing of his sister 42 years ago.
The 30-year-old singer’s late Aunt Joanne – whom her new album ‘Joanne’ is named after – died of lupus at just 19, and her father Joe Germanotta has been dealing with the tragic loss ever since.
But one ballad – also called ‘Joanne’ – which features on the pop star’s new album has finally helped heal the lifetime of pain that her father has felt.
Gaga told The Sun newspaper: “[The first time I played ‘Joanne’] I looked over at him and he just looked at me like, ‘How did you know that? How did you know that’s what I wanted to say?'”
And the ‘Perfect Illusion’ musician says although she never met her aunt, she felt “connected” to her through her father, and wrote the song in the hopes that it would be “healing” for him.
She added: “I never got to meet her but I always felt very connected to her my whole life.
“I never was able to truly understand why my father was so sad.
“There was something inside of him like a loss or a trauma that I just couldn’t perceive of.
“So I wanted to make a song that would be really healing to my dad.”
The news comes after the ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker – whose real name is Stefani Germanotta – recently requested that fans at her Bud Light x Lady Gaga Dive Bar performance in Nashville, Tennessee, call her Joanne instead of Lady Gaga.
She said: “If you could do me this favour. Tonight if you could just call me ‘Joanne.'”
And despite the album having such heavy ties to her late Aunt, Gaga insisted that the record is influenced by the men in her life, such as her ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney and her father.
She said: “When you listen to the album, it’s clear the influence that all the men in my life have made on this record.
“But I have such a rebellious spirit, and my father was always very angry. He drank because of his sister’s death. I was trying to understand him through making this record.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix have hit out at claims they copied fellow girl band GRL.
The British girl group – comprised of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh Anne Pinnock – have denied claims their new single ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ sounds anything like the 2014 hit ‘Ugly Heart’, and suggested the comparisons were a publicity stunt.
Speaking on Belgian radio station Qmusic, 23-year-old Perrie said: “I just think, stop trying to hop on the bandwagon.”
To which Jesy added: “Stop trying to get publicity!”
Jade, 23, took a more mediated approach to the subject as she said “they’re both incredible songs” and insisted it was natural for different tracks to have similarities.
She said: “Every song is going to have a similar chord sequence, slightly similar lyrics and melodies. It happens all the time. It doesn’t mean that they’re not both incredible songs.
“I think maybe because it was a girl band as well. I just think people like to have something negative to say.”
The row between the two bands first started when Little Mix took the stage on UK talent show ‘The X Factor’ – on which they formed in 2011 – to perform their new single earlier this month.
Fans of GRL – made up of Lauren Bennett, Natasha Slayton, and Jazzy Mejia – then took to Twitter to share their disbelief at the similarities between the two songs.
GRL themselves also took to the social media site to share their anger at the news, simply tweeting: “#ShoutOutToUglyHeart (sic)”
And the similarities between the songs isn’t the only thing Little Mix have had to deal with since their live performance either, as they were also accused of being too sexy by former Spice Girl Mel C.
She said previously: “I love Little Mix. I loved them from ‘The X Factor’. I just thought they were so different.
“But they are getting more provocative. To me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we’ve seen.
“They are all gorgeous and great singers. But they weren’t sexy and it’s got more and more that way. I love them – but I just say, ‘Stay you’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner’s “dream” is to be able to “really, really sing”.
The 19-year-old reality star has admitted it’s “no secret” she loves listening to music and is always keeping up to date with the new releases, but if she was to have “one talent” she would love to be a great singer.
Speaking on her website thekyliejenner.com about the gifts she wished she had, she said: “It’s no secret I love music, especially everything we play on Kylie Radio. And I have some crazy talented friends with beautiful voices, like Justine Skye. I really would love to be able to sing!!!

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch had to “step out of his comfort zone” to play ‘Doctor Strange’.
The 40-year-old actor – who stars as the Marvel superhero in the hotly-anticipated movie – has teased the film will feature him doing “action hero stuff on a level” he never has before.
Speaking at the London premiere of ‘Doctor Strange’ at Westminster Abbey, he said: “People ask me what I have in common with my character and I feel that’s really it. I was having to do action hero stuff on a level I’ve never done before and wire work and kung-fu moves and casting these spells.
“Amazing movements like tutting with the fingers and all these delicate hand movements as well as body posturing. I was learning that as much as my character was, so both of us were stepping out of our comfort zone so that’s something I could draw on for the characterisation.”
Meanwhile, Benedict – who has 16-month-old son Christopher and is expecting a second child with his wife Sophie Hunter – previously opened up about the “psychologically and physically” demanding role.
He said: “He goes through so much psychologically and physically, which I can testify to as an actor. Kevin Feige went, ‘I don’t think we have put an actor through quite as much as this.’ I said, ‘I’ll wear that badge with pride.’
“It was a tough shoot from that point of view. It was very, very physically demanding. Not just getting all hench, as they say in Wales, the buffness you need for the superhero stuff.
“But also just day-to-day fitness and the stamina to do 14-15 hour days with very little turnaround and very little sleep and a baby at home and all the rest of it. So I did go through quite a lot. No pain, no gain. But for the character, hopefully it’ll show.”

The 24-year-old model was devastated when she split from St. Vincent, aka Annie Clarke, in August, but she has now turned her attention to Héloïse Letissier – who was born in Nantes, France – and is determined to do all she can to impress the singer.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, a source said: “Cara speaks pretty good French anyway, but she’s been brushing up on it recently. Maybe it’s for somebody.”
However, it seems the bisexual beauty, who performs under the pseudonym Christine and the Queens, already knows about Cara’s burning “crush” on her.
A source said earlier this month: “Cara was heartbroken when Annie ended their relationship but she’s made no secret of her crush on Heloise.
“She really admires her artistry and thinks she’s super-sexy, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that ended up developing into something.”
But, although she’s developed a soft spot for Héloïse, it’s believed the ‘Suicide Squad’ star is still holding a candle for St. Vincent, despite the fact the American musician has now moved on and is reportedly dating actress Kristen Stewart.

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s Paisley Park estate will be a permanent museum.
The late singer’s Minnesota home and recording studio has been open to the public on a temporary basis for the last month and now the Chanhassen City Council has voted unanimously to allow the exhibit to continue after reviewing concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety.
Local business leaders had backed the proposals to make the estate a permanent tourist attraction.
Vernelle Clayton, a Chanhassen resident and leader of the Buy Chanhassen business group, told the Chanhassen Villager newspaper: “We think more customers and clients is nothing but beneficial to our community.”
Jeff Filipek, president of the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, said one local restaurant experienced a 36 percent increase in business during a two-hour period last weekend.
Since Paisley Park’s doors were thrown open on October 6 – almost six months after the ‘1999’ hitmaker died from an accidental overdose at the property – over 12,000 people have already toured Studio A, the Purple Rain Room, the NPG Music Club and other parts of the estate.
Paisley Park is now expected to be open to tourists from Thursdays through Sundays in the short term.
Fans who visit the estate even get to see Prince’s remains as the elaborate urn holding his ashes is on display.
The urn was designed by Prince’s sister Tyka and nephew President Nelson, and features scale-model details from Paisley Park, his purple Yamaha piano and white ornamental doves.
Tyka worked with the company Foreverence to create the urn and it features seven crystals.
Pete Saari, CEO and founder of the company said in a statement: “We are truly honoured and humbled to work with Prince’s family to pay tribute to one of the greatest musical artists of our generation. We believe that everyone’s a legend to the people who love and miss them the most.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Burns had been due to give a live TV interview on Monday (24.10.16).
The Dead or Alive frontman had been advertised as appearing on UK daytime show ‘Loose Women’ but producers were told he was “unable to turn up”, hours before it was announced he had died following a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday (23.10.16).
An ITV source told The Sun Online: “Pete Burns was no longer available for this date and as with live television, guests are subject to change.”
Pete’s management confirmed the tragic news of his passing on Twitter.
They wrote: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Pete Burns of Dead Or Alive, died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest. All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star. He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories the has left is with.
“We have no more words, we will make a further statement when we have had a chance to come to terms with our devastating loss. He will live forever in our memories. Sending you all our love. X Lynne, Michael, Steve X (sic)”
The singer/songwriter founded the band Dead or Alive in 1980 and went on to achieve pop success with ‘You Spin Me Round’, a track he worked on alongside the famous music trio Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
In his later years, he was known for appearing on various reality shows including ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and was last seen on ‘Celebrity Botched Bodies’, where he discussed having had over 300 cosmetic procedures.
Tributes to the singer have flooded in on social media, with his friend Boy George left “tearful”.
He tweeted: “Tearful about the passing of @PeteBurnsICON he was one of our great true eccentrics and such a big part of my life! Wow. Hard to believe!”
Sinitta added: “Rest in Peace @PeteBurnsICON we had some laughs and some tears over the years .you were a sensitive soul and will be missed x (sic)”
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemates past and present have also taken to social media to post tributes to the singer/songwriter, who appeared on the show in 2006.
George Galloway wrote: “Sad to hear of the demise of Pete Burns. He was a cross between Oscar Wilde and Dorothy Parker. You don’t get more brilliant than that. RIP.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobby Vee has died.
The ‘Take Good Care Of My Baby’ singer – who helped Bob Dylan get his start in music – passed away on Monday (24.10.16) at the age of 73, after a long battle with advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
His son Jeff Velline revealed the singer died peacefully, surrounded by his family.
He said it was “the end of a long hard road” and described his father as “a person who brought joy all over the world,” adding, “that was his job”.
Speaking about his father’s passion for music, he said: “He never lost that love for music. Even when he couldn’t play it anymore and couldn’t sing, he would hum. The music was a powerful piece that remained, right on until the end.”
The musician retired following his Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2011 and had been in hospice care for the past few weeks.
Before that, he was in memory care at the Wellstead of Rogers & Diamondcrest near Minneapolis for over a year.
Bobby was born Robert Velline in North Dakota in 1943.
He was just 15 when he took to the stage in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1959, with his band The Shadows, as one of the acts who volunteered to fill in after a plane crash killed rock ‘n’ roll stars Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. ‘The Big Bopper’ Richardson.
Recalling his big break in a 1999 interview, he said: “I didn’t have any fear right then. The fear didn’t hit me until the spotlight came on, and then I was just shattered by it. I didn’t think that I’d be able to sing. If I opened my mouth, I wasn’t sure anything would come out.”
Some of his best-known songs include ‘Run to Him’, ‘Rubber Ball’, ‘The Night Has A Thousand Eyes’, ‘Devil or Angel’, ‘Come Back When You Grow Up’ and ‘Punish Her’.
Bob Dylan got his start in Vee’s band and called him “the most meaningful person I’d ever been on the stage with”.
Writing in his memoir, ‘Chronicles: Volume One’, Dylan said: “I’d always thought of him as a brother.”
Speaking after Bobby’s death, his son Tommy said: “My dad was taken aback by all of that. I don’t think he realised the extent of influence that he had, but he always appreciated and loved the relationships.”
Vee’s wife of more than 50 years, Karen, died of kidney failure in 2015 at age 71. They had four children together.

Shirlene Quigley was last seen getting on a bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City in the early hours of Sunday morning (23.10.16), and the 28-year-old singer has now taken to Instagram to help spread the word and raise awareness of her friend’s disappearance.
Posting a video of Shirlene in which she talks about how we can all try harder to love one another, the ‘Work’ hitmaker wrote: “This beautiful soul, and former dancer of mine is MISSING!!! My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her! If anyone has seen or has any information on @shirlenequigley’s whereabouts ….. And the ‘Needed Me’ singer isn’t the only celebrity to take to social media in order to raise awareness for Shirlene – who has worked for artists such as Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, and Mary J. Blige – as Missy Elliot has also penned a touching message on the photo sharing website.
On a collage of photos of the dancer, she wrote: “URGENT Message*** PLEASE If anyone has seen or heard from Shirlene Quigley @shirlenequigley please contact the North Bergen police 201-392-2100.!!! She was last seen Saturday night around 12:55 AM at Port Authority. She was wearing a pink jacket and 3-4 inch heels. The police have her phone. At this time a police report has been filed. OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber is renting a £4.75m mansion in the North of England.
The 22-year-old singer has leased the £17,000-a-month palatial pad to stay in while performing in Manchester and Sheffield on his ‘Purpose’ world tour.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the house has seven bedrooms and features a helipad, soccer pitch, indoor sports hall, indoor swimming pool and gym.
It also has a wine cellar and an outdoor adventure area with a zip-wire.
However, Justin’s tour dates in Manchester have been controversial as the star has lashed out at his audience on two separate dates.
Over the weekend he stormed off stage after being booed by the crowd as he spoke to them between songs, because they wanted him to get on with singing his hits.
However, he soon returned and said: “Manc can’t handle the talking so I won’t talk.”
Justin explained his tantrum at the end of the concert, before he played ‘Baby’.
He said: “The reason why I was getting upset earlier was because I travelled across the whole world to come here and I dedicate my life to performing and bring smiles to people’s faces.
“I feel that people were just not giving me the same respect back and it hurts a little bit so that’s why. But we’re gonna end it on this last song… ‘Baby’.”
And last week, on his opening night in Manchester, Justin told fans to stay “as quiet as possible” while he was singing.
He said: “Try and stay as quiet as possible. You can scream as much as you want afterwards, but while I’m singing try and stay quiet.”
Justin was also annoyed that fans would not listen when he started talking between songs.
He reportedly said: “I just thought I could have a moment to say something. If not, I’ll just get to singing. I don’t mind cutting the bulls**t because I don’t need to talk. I’m just trying to engage, but if you guys don’t want to do that then we can just play the music.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga still loves Taylor Kinney and wouldn’t be happy if he started dating someone new.
The 30-year-old singer and the ‘Chicago Fire’ actor, 35, ended their engagement earlier this year, but Gaga still has a huge amount of affection for him.
She told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show: “I hate to sound like a hippie, but I kind of am one and so is he. We love each other, that’s it. It’s just about life changes, and we all go through different stages and we’re focused on different things.”
“To be fair, I think that Taylor’s pretty f***ing cool that over the years no matter what creative transformation that I’ve gone through, he’s always been very supportive of that and loving.”
However, when asked how she would feel if he started dating someone else, Gaga quipped: “I’m not going to f***ing throw a party!”
Gaga – who recently released her new album ‘Joanne’ – praised Taylor for how supportive he has been of her career since they met on the set of her ‘You & I’ video in 2011 and admitted he has inspired her latest record.
She said: “I’m actually very close to Taylor. He’s been my lover and my friend for a really long time. He’s been so supportive of the album, and I support him on his show, ‘Chicago Fire.’
“There’s a lot on this record inspired by our relationship, and he’s super supportive of me expressing myself artistically.”
The pair were together for five years and engaged for one before they ended their romance in July, but Gaga has previously insisted they are “soulmates”.
She wrote on Instagram after their split: “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Gibson is “too old to get nervous” about having another child.
The 60-year-old star is set to welcome his ninth baby into the world soon with his girlfriend of two years, Rosalind Ross, but he insists he has no reservations and joked he doesn’t “even react” to the news anymore.
He quipped to Extra: “What’s one more? I’m just there to catch. I’m too old to get nervous. I think my adrenals are worn out so I don’t even react anymore.”
Both Mel and Rosalind are said to be very happy about their impending arrival.
A source said at the time: “Mel and Rose are so excited about the baby. Mel loves being a dad and he and Rose can’t wait to be parents together. The last two years have been some of his happiest years he’s ever had.”
Mel has seven children with his ex-wife Robyn Moore – Hannah, 36, Christian and Edward, both 34, William, 31, Louis, 28, Milo, 26, and Thomas, 17 – as well as six-year-old Luna with his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel C never felt the Spice Girls were “pressured” to look sexy.
The ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker doesn’t understand why young girls accept being “oversexualised” at a young age.
She said: “In my experience, I wore tracksuits. I never felt that us girls as Spice Girls were never put under any pressure to be sexy.
“My question is why do young girls want to be portrayed in that way? There just seems to be a trend of young people being oversexualised extremely young.”
The 42-year-old singer also recalled when her and her bandmates – Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – nicked their PA’s Filofax at the 1997 MTV Music Awards.
Speaking in London as part of the AOL Build Series, she added: “It was at the MTV Music Awards in Rotterdam, it must have been in 1997, it was in the crazy crazy days. We’d decided to leave our management and we were absolutely terrified. At the time there were no iPhones, it was Filofaxes. Our PA had a very nice one, and we nicked it for all the contacts.
“Geri, in true Geri style, [hid it] in her bag. We went up for our soundcheck in rehearsals at the MTV Music Awards and Gerri did the whole thing with this bag. We couldn’t let go of it because it had that Filofax in it.”
Meanwhile, Mel C previously revealed she won’t be joining the Spice Girls reunion as she wants to concentrate on her seven-year-old daughter Scarlet.
She said: “I had to think about myself and the most important thing in my life, which is being a mother to my little girl. I had to be present for her. It was a hard decision, not only letting down the girls but all the fans who want it to happen.
“But we’re four individuals, we’ve gone on to have separate lives and careers and want different things. We always said we had to be comfortable but lots of people were getting involved and I wasn’t comfortable with the direction that it was taking.”

Speaking to Extra’s Mario Lopez on the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Trolls’, he said: “Silas is a year and a half … want him to stay that size.”
And asked if he would be adding to his brood, he added: “I’m having a lot of fun practicing.”
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old singer previously revealed becoming a father has “changed everything” for him.
He shared: “It changes everything. You literally wake up and look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I’m doing!’
“It’s crazy. This new appreciation for both of them, her and him, it’s humiliating and it’s humbling at the same time … You watch her realise she has a gear she [thought she] didn’t have and then you go, ‘Woah, yeah.’ …
“I would have never written a song like ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling!’ [if I wasn’t a father]. I don’t know that it was directly inspired to be something that my son could listen to of mine, because there’s a lot of music he can’t … at least not yet … [but he was an influence].”
And Justin feels he has a different outlook on life since his son arrived.
He added: “I’d be leaving out the whole truth if I didn’t say having him shaped what the song actually is. [Having a child] gives you a different insight. It’s like ‘The Matrix,’ man. You open a door and there’s this whole other world on the other side of it. And you look back through the door at the other world and you’re like, ‘What was I doing there?'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is feeling “more positive” about life.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star has been taking some time out after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier this month but is said to be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
A source told People magazine: “Kim had a quiet birthday celebration with Kanye, their kids, her sisters and Kris. It was Kim’s choice to not have a big celebration. She seemed very happy with her decision.
“She is still figuring out her life. She still has no plans for any work appearances, but her outlook on life seems more positive. She has calmed down a lot since the robbery.”
Meanwhile, Kim recently opened up about her “talent” of getting people to like her.
She said: “It is a talent to have a brand that’s really successful off of getting people to like you for you. I would think that has to involve some kind of talent, you know? … I totally attribute my career to social media.”
And Kourtney Kardashian previously revealed Kim is relying heavily on her family to get her through the tough time.
She shared: “She’s not doing great. I think we’re all really still shaken up and I just – you know.
“I think she has a big supportive family and I know that all the traumatic things that we’ve been through, we get through them together as a family.”
And sister Khloe echoed a similar sentiment, adding: “She’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together.
“We do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. It will take time. It was horrible what happened to her.”
