Noel Gallagher's dog cast no shadow

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher got rid of his pet dog – because it fought with his cat like he fought with his brother Liam.
The 49-year-old rock legend gave a home to the rescue animal, a Jack Russell crossed with a Pincher, just before last Christmas much to the delight of his wife Sara MacDonald and their two sons Donovan, nine, and Sonny, six.
However, the pooch upset Noel by continuously harassing the family’s cat Boots and he made the decision to ditch the dog, just like he ditched Liam, 44, back in 2009 after one Oasis bust-up too many.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, he spilled: “The dog didn’t go the distance I’m afraid, because Tommy, Thomas, was very mean to the cat and the cat had been around for a long time, it was like, ‘Look, this is not fair man.’ He’s gone to a better home now.”
The ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ hitmaker’s call to cull the canine from his home was not that popular with his wife and kids.
And Noel admits there was one other thing that motivated him to move the mutt on – he was certain Sara loved the pooch more than him.
He said: “The kids were not best pleased about it, I wasn’t that bothered myself because, to be quite honest, my wife was showing him more affection than me.
“I’ll never forget once I came in through the front door and I could hear my missus saying, ‘Where have you been? Have you been out, look at you you’re all cold.’ And I was thinking, ‘That’s nice.’ She’s never really like that because she’s Scottish. Then she was like, ‘Aww, come here you.’ Then I realised the dog had come in at the same time through the kitchen door and she was talking to the dog. And I thought, ‘No, no, no, this is not going to work.’ I’d think I was having a great conversation with my missus and it looked as though she was taking notice of what you were saying and then suddenly she’d shout ‘Tommy!’ and I’d realise she hadn’t been listening to a word I’d been saying.”
Noel is an open pussy lover and in Oasis documentary film ‘Supersonic’ he described himself as a “cat”, while singer Liam is a “dog” – a theory which could explain their numerous fall outs.
In the movie, the guitarist says: “I’m a cat and Liam is a dog.
“Cats are very independent creatures, they don’t give a f**k. Right bastards. Dogs, it’s just f***ing, ‘Play with me, play with me, please f***ing throw that ball for me. I need some company.’ It’s as basic as that. Can’t change the way that you are. I’m a cat, OK. That’s just what I am. I’ve accepted it. I’m a bit of a bastard.”

Jonathan Rhys Meyers to become a father

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonathan Rhys Meyers is set to become a father for the first time.
The ‘Dracula’ star is expecting a baby with his partner Mara Lane and, although they’re remaining tight-lipped its due date, it’s believed the little one is expected to make an appearance over the festive season.
Taking to her Instagram account on Monday (12.12.16), the Irish actress uploaded a photograph of her burgeoning bump while standing opposite a man dressed in the traditional Santa Claus attire.
She accompanied the picture with the caption: “#IncomingPackage best present. #ThankYouLord #SantaBelly (sic)”
And it seemed once the brunette beauty had shared her swollen stomach with the world, she couldn’t stop as she announced that she has spent almost every day in the same second-hand stretchy frock.
She said: “My official pregnancy dress. I have worn this 1-2x a week every week for past 5 months. It was 3 euros in a charity shop in Ireland I love #recycled clothes. #Recycledclothes #antislavery #recycledclothing over fast fashion any day for me T on the other hand … #megaprincess owns collars and leashes more than I am embarrassed to say #fathersdogter (sic).”
And, although her baby is yet to make its entry into the world, it seems the little one is already dictating as she hasn’t been able to eat meat.
She added: “Has not let me eat much meat entire pregnancy either … has me thinking about things I’d rather live in ignorance to. #speciesism waat just stap angel alien baby about to rock my world I already know #thankful for my soon to be best teacher and friend (sic)”
Mara began dating Jonathan in early 2013 and reportedly got engaged in 2014, although neither of them have confirmed it.
It was thought they’d tied the knot on the sly in September after the 39-year-old hunk was spotted wearing a gold band on his ring finger.
It seems Jonathan is finally getting his life back on track following years of battling with alcohol addiction and even went to rehab.

Beyonce takes rare selfie with Mariah Carey

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce has posed for a selfie with Mariah Carey.
The ‘All Night’ hitmaker went to see the 46-year-old singer perform at her ‘Mariah Carey: All I Want For Christmas Is You’ show at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on Sunday (11.12.16) and the pair looked in high spirits as they smiled for the picture.
Mariah posted the picture of herself with her special show guest – who rarely poses for selfies – on her Instagram account and wrote: “I love you @beyonce thank you sooooo much for coming out tonight! (sic)”.
Like Beyonce – who began her career when she was just eight years old – Mariah recently revealed her love of singing began at a very young age.
She said: “I’ve always had this love affair with music, ever since I can remember. When I was like four years old, my mother encouraged me to sing.”
And the ‘Butterfly’ singer revealed that, despite starting off as a backing singer at 12 years old, and moving to live in Manhattan on her own where she had “nothing”, she found it an “exciting time” in her life, although she had to sleep on the floor for a while.
She explained: “I started doing demos when I was like 12 years old, I was a backup singer. I moved to Manhattan alone as a teenage girl. It was an exciting time for me, even though I had nothing.
“I lived like on a mattress on the floor. I was writing my songs and being a horrible waitress. My demo tape ended up at Sony and they signed it away.”

John Legend hopes his IVF story will help others

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend hopes his and his wife Chrissy Teigen’s honesty about using IVF to have a baby will make other people realise they shouldn’t feel “ashamed” if they are having fertility problems.
The couple welcomed their daughter Luna into the world in April 2016 after undergoing in vitro fertilisation treatment in 2015 after struggling to conceive naturally for a few years.
John insists he and Chrissy always wanted to be open about their journey to have Luna so any of their fans going through the same struggle could draw hope from their path to parenthood.
During an appearance on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (12.12.16), he shared: “A lot of people struggle with fertility and you shouldn’t be ashamed of it. A lot of people want to have kids and maybe can’t do it the natural way so it’s an option that’s available to a lot of people and I think people should do it if it’s the right thing for them.”
John, 37, and Chrissy, 31, will have IVF again as they want to give Luna siblings and hope to have a large family.
He said: “Yeah we’ll do it again, we want to have a few kids, I think like three or four.”
John has just released his new album ‘Darkness and Light’ and the track ‘Right By You’ is all about his baby girl.
The Grammy Award-winning musician admits that a lot of the songs on the LP are inspired by Luna as he was waiting to become a father when he began the writing and recording process.
The ‘Love Me Now’ hitmaker explained: “I wrote a song specifically dedicated to her (Luna) it’s called ‘Right By You’. The whole album was influenced by the fact I was becoming a new father, I was writing a lot of it before she was born but when I knew we were having a baby so I was thinking a lot about that when I was writing the songs.”

Damian Lewis not motivated by money

OHMYGOSSIP — Damian Lewis doesn’t think money is “terribly important”.
The 45-year-old actor stars as Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod, the manager of a hedge fund, in American television drama ‘Billions’ but says his cash-grabbing character on the show is very different to how he is as a person.
Lewis does use his wealth to ensure his children – 10-year-old Manon and nine-year-old Gulliver, whom he has with his wife Helen McCrory – have a great education, but there’s little else he or Helen spend money on.
Speaking to Australian magazine TV Week, the ‘Homeland’ star said: “We don’t think money is terribly important in our family. I spend money on my children’s school fees, and I just renovated my house but I don’t own a second home or have a yacht.”
And despite paying for his children’s education rather than sending them to a free school, the ‘Wolf Hall’ actor recently claimed he would never send them to boarding school because his own experience with that type of education was “very hard”.
He said: “I went at (to boarding school) eight and I think that’s very hard. You go through something which, at that age, defines you and your ability to cope. There’s a sudden lack of intimacy with a parent, and your ability to get through that defines you emotionally for the rest of your life.”
Lewis – who received his big break in Second World War serial ‘Band of Brothers’ in which he played John D. Winters – previously admitted the fact he’s found fame and success at all is largely down to being “lucky”.
The British actor said: “My dad lived in America for five years, and we have relations and even a godfather over there. I’m extremely lucky.
“‘Band of Brothers’ kicked it all off. I was a needle in a haystack – they looked at hundreds of men all over the English-speaking world and, for whatever reason, it came down to me.”

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey to spend Christmas together

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will spend Christmas together for their children.
The 46-year-old singer and her ex-husband share five-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan together, and despite finalising their divorce earlier this year the pair plan to spend the holiday season together in order to teach their children about “family and love”.
Nick, 36, told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “All fun, all love, you know what it is!
“Holidays are mainly for kids anyway, when you think about it, and once you go from kids, it’s all about family and love and that’s what we’re trying to spread.”
The news comes after the rapper recently jetted off to Hawaii to spend Thanksgiving with the ‘Without You’ hitmaker – whom he wed in 2008 – which he also attributed to his children.
He said: “Yeah man, it’s all about the kids.”
It is unknown whether or not the ‘America’s Got Talent’ host’s former girlfriend Brittany Bell will be joining the family for the celebrations, after it was revealed she is seven months pregnant with Nick’s second son.
Nick said of his unborn baby: “It’s outstanding. Honestly they say even in unexpected situations, you still embrace the beauty of bringing a life into this world, because that is what life is all about.”
And the comedian is keeping his nose firmly out of his ex-wife’s personal matters, as he previously denied knowing about the ‘We Belong Together’ singer’s split from fiancé James Packer, claiming as long as his “kids are good”, he isn’t interested.
When told the pair had called time on their relationship, Nick said: “Did they? I thought they was working it out.
“I’m on a need-to-know basis. As long as my kids are good…I don’t want to know none of that other stuff.”

Kim Cattrall's Alzheimer's fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Cattrall is worried she might die of Alzheimer’s disease.
The 60-year-old actress admits she is “concerned” about the condition after it took her father Dennis four years ago, but is trying to treat her dad’s demise as a “wake-up call” to encourage her to enjoy her life even more.
She said: “I’m concerned about Alzheimer’s disease.
“It took my father. But that’s your DNA . It’s part of life. And I’m trying not to be so fear-based.
“It’s a wake-up call to enjoy life, more than anything else. I want to make the most of the time that I have where I’m healthy and mobile.
“My mother is all there – she’s 87 and amazing.”
The ‘Sex and the City’ star insists she’s “happy” about the way her life has gone and is pleased she has kept her sense of humour throughout her 60 years.
She said: “I think I’m just happy about choices that I’ve made. I’m accepting myself and gracefully going forward as much as I can.
“I like myself now. It’s that feeling of surviving, that you’ve been through a lot of s**t and you’ve got through the other side and still have your sense of humour.
“That’s what I think is intrinsically British about me – I can laugh about things.”
Kim admits she didn’t anticipate going through life without having kids and even wanted children at one stage, but didn’t want to become a “science experiment” by going through IVF.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s been a really interesting point of getting older. I didn’t anticipate not to have children, it wasn’t part of the plan. It just sort of happened and evolved that way.
“When I was married to my second husband, Andre J. Lyson, I wanted to have children. I went to my doctor and he told me that it could happen but I would have to accept that I would become something of a science experiment. It was the very early days of IVF.”
Kim – who was born in Liverpool, north west England – has been married three times, firstly to Larry Davis from 1977 to 1979 before tying the knot to Andre in 1982 but they went their separate ways in 1989 after she had lived with him in Frankfurt and learned to speak fluent German.
She later married jazz bassist Mark Levinson in 1998 but they split in 2004.

John Lennon warned about death

OHMYGOSSIP — John Lennon was warned he’d be “shot on an island” 11 years before his death.
The Beatles legend was tragically gunned down by Mark Chapman on the New York island of Manhattan in 1980, but was reportedly given a warning about the event by a Greek astrologer during a holiday to the country with wife Yoko Ono in 1969.
The couple were so spooked by the warning, they cancelled a planned yachting trip around the Greek Islands with singer Donovan, filmmaker Nico Mastorakis has revealed.
The story has emerged now that Nico is selling a three-minute silent film of the couple walking through the streets of Athens, which he discovered during a clear-out of his house.
He told the Sunday Times newspaper: “John and Yoko assumed the shooting would be on a Greek Island.”
In 2000, Yoko spoke to Nico about the omen, saying they were right to “be careful” but they did so “in the wrong way”.
She said: “I totally believe that some people are psychic and the message comes through some people.
“In our case, she told us that, but we were not careful in the way we should have been.
“We were careful, but in the wrong way as we did not go to the Greek Islands.”
The previously-unseen footage is expected to fetch around £15,000 when it goes under the hammer at Bonhams’ Auction House on Thursday (15.12.16), and will be packaged with a signed statement detailing the shooting prediction, as well as photos of John holding the video camera to prove authenticity.

Robbie Williams 'man cave' dreams

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams wants to build a “man cave” to escape from his hectic family life.
The 42-year-old singer has admitted he’d love nothing more than to construct a hideaway underneath his Beverley Hills mansion in order to get some peace and quiet from his wife Ayda Field and their two children Teddy, four, and Charlton, two.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the former Take That singer said: “I’m planning on a few man caves in a basement. They will be all mine.”
But getting away from his children is easier than constructing an underground cave, as the ‘Party Like a Russian’ hitmaker revealed he can simply head into the studio, as his children “just aren’t interested” in his music.
He said: “They just aren’t interested. I played Teddy a bit of my Knebworth gig [from 2003]. I sat her on my lap and told her that all those people had come to see Daddy.
“But she just sat there and then, a few minutes in, said: ‘Can I have some cake?’ and ran off to the other room. She isn’t bothered about the music.”
The need for a break from his family comes after the ‘Feel’ singer recently claimed he was feeling “burnt out” after an extensive promotional tour for his new album ‘Heavy Entertainment Show’.
He said: “I hope I’ve been OK. And I hope you’ve had a good time. I’m a bit burnt out, to be honest with you.
“Listen, I’m having the best time. My job is absolutely amazing … I’m loving my job, I’m loving my life. But I’ve been mega busy.
“I was in Australia two minutes ago, then Spain then Germany and I’ve been talking about myself and singing at people. And I realised tonight when ‘Rock DJ’ came on I was like ‘Oh my God, there’s nothing in the tank.'”

Amy Adams' daughter on 'cleavage patrol'

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams’ daughter is always on “cleavage patrol” when she dresses up for awards ceremonies.
The 42-year-old star’s six-year-old child, Aviana – who she has with artist husband Darren Le Gallo – is constantly on the lookout to see if her Hollywood actress mother is showing off too much of her assets when she dresses up for glitzy events.
Speaking at the Critics’ Choice Awards at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar in California on Sunday (11.12.16), she said: “She’s a little concerned about this region.
“So sorry about that, Av. I was saying that ‘American Hustle’ ruined that for her – she’s like, ‘Oh, mama.’
“Seeing the posters on Sunset, she was like, ‘Ugh!’ So she’s now always on, like, cleavage patrol.”
Amy dressed to impress in a white off-the-shoulder Versace dress for the Critics’ Choice Awards and her ‘American Hustle’ character Sydney Prosser wore several low-cut gowns throughout the 2013 movie.
But the star insists she has learned to “appreciate” red carpets more and feel less “judged” at big events as she has grown older.
She added to PEOPLE: “I think when I was younger, I was so caught up and it felt like there was a lot of judgement – you just got caught up things that weren’t important.
“As you get older, you just realise how fortunate you are, and it’s a wonderful honour, and you just appreciate it in a different way.”
Amy was nominated for Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards for her role as linguist Louise Banks in ‘Arrival’, but she lost out on the accolade to Natalie Portman, 35, for her portrayal of the former US first lady Jackie Kennedy in ‘Jackie’.
Darren accompanied her to the ceremony and the couple – who tied the knot last year – were spotted sharing a smooch on the blue carpet.

Mariah Carey needed 'permission' to go out

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey feared she would be “haunting the house dead” during her marriage to Tommy Mottola.
The ‘Hero’ singer – who was married to the music executive from 1993 to 1997 – claims she was “not encouraged to go on tour” and instead advised to “make records” during the early part of the career, claiming her relationship with her record label boss saw her lose “control” over her own life.
She said: “I was with someone at the time that had a lot of control over my life. He was older than me by a lot and had a lot of power and they wanted me to remain away from most people, like sequestered.”
“It was seriously…I had to get permission to leave.”
Asked on her E! show ‘Mariah’s World’ what it was like to be “locked in a house” like that, she admitted she felt she would be in there “haunting the house dead.”
She added: “I never thought I would get out of there.”
And record producer Jermaine Dupri compared the situation to that of fictional princess Rapunzel, who was kept captive in a high tower.
He said: “I’ve been around her when she was Rapunzel, when she was in this big ass castle.”
But the 46-year-old singer eventually had the “courage to move on” and wrote her song ‘Butterfly’, which helped her come to terms with the damaging relationship.
Elsewhere during the show, Mariah admitted she feels “guilty” when she has to work away from her and ex-husband Nick Cannon’s twins, five-year-old Moroccan and Monroe.
She admitted: “When we’re away from them for this many hours it’s not even that long but it still feels like forever. And I feel guilty if I’m not there. I want them to have memories that are not just lost.
“I feel guilty if they’re like, ‘I want you to stay with me.’ I don’t want to leave.”
But the ‘Fantasy’ singer feels reassured by knowing “everything” she does is for her kids.
She added: “It’s ultimately for them. Everything I’m doing is for them.”

Justin Bieber's backstage bible studies

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber has been holding bible studies classes backstage during his ‘Purpose World Tour’.
The 22-year-old singer is no stranger to controversy after he egged a neighbour’s house and got into a fight with Orlando Bloom, but after turning to religion two years ago, the ‘Sorry’ singer’s life has “changed for the better”, and he’s now intent on spreading that message to the crew on his tour.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Backstage on his Purpose tour, Justin has been sitting down with his opening acts and encouraging them to put Christ before everything.
“His aim is to convert the people he loves and warn other stars against the evils of the industry.”
The ‘What Do You Mean?’ musician reportedly took the step toward religion after he realised he didn’t want to “go off the rails” like other celebrities before him.
The source added: “Justin’s life changed for the better since he found God and he has been making better decisions now that he has found peace within his faith.
“After seeing so many other celebs go off the rails, he wants to help his friends find the joy and happiness he has.”
The news comes after the ‘Love Yourself’ hitmaker said earlier this year that he “loves” talking about his faith with people, and claimed he wanted to “honestly live like Jesus.”
He said: “I love talking about my faith.
“Christians have left such a bad taste in people’s mouths — just like, overly pushy with the subject, overly churchy and religious.
“I think that people, as soon as they start hearing me saying I’m a Christian, they’re like, ‘Whoa, Justin! Back up, take a step back!’
“I just wanna honestly live like Jesus.”

Viola Davis' emotional speech of self-acceptance

“I’m used to playing women where I’ve got to gain 40 pounds and wear an apron. So I said, ‘Oh God, I’ve got to lose weight. I’ve got to learn how to walk like Kerry Washington in heels. I gotta lose my belly.’ And then I asked myself, ‘Well, why do I have to do all of that?’

You come into my world and you sit with me, my size, my hue, my age, and you sit and you experience. And I think that’s the only power I have as an artist, so I thank you for this award.”

“But most importantly: the leader, the captain, Denzel Washington, who said the two scariest words an actor can ever hear: ‘Trust me.’
“Usually that’s because you can’t trust a lot of people with a performance in this business. But we trusted you, you delivered as a leader and you’ve made us proud and most importantly, you’ve made August proud. Thank you very much.”

“It’s a hugely undervalued asset in Hollywood: they’re architects, they make us look good, often times their jobs are very hard.
“They’re alone in rooms in their underwear, weeping softly with their tears working as lube for their old fashioned typewriter machines.
So I accept this on the screenwriters behalf.”
