Zayn Malik reschedules Japanese show

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik has postponed his Japanese show.
The ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker was due to perform in Saitama next month but a “change in the recording schedule” for his new album has forced him to reschedule the date for June 2017 at another venue in Yokohama.
A statement released by the promoter reads: “Due to a change in the recording schedule of the new album, Zayn’s show at Saitama Super Arena on January 14 has been rescheduled to new dates and venues. And we have added a new show in Osaka …
“Due to the venue change, for all those who purchased tickets to the Saitama show, the ticket will be refunded via the official ticket agency that you purchased the ticket from. For the rescheduled date, we will have a special pre-sale period from February 1 to February 9 for those of you who purchased tickets for the January/Saitama show. Further details will be announced later. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
Zayn will now perform at Yokohama Arena on June 18 as well as Osaka-jo Hall in the Kyobashi area of Osaka, Japan on June 19.
It is not the first live show Zayn has had to miss after he pulled out of a gig in October due to “extreme anxiety”.
In a statement released at the time, he said: “Dear Fans, I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October.
“I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon. Thank you to all my fans who support me globally. With love and respect always, Zayn.”
Before that, Zayn had also pulled out of his first solo gig in the UK since he left One Direction, citing anxiety.
He said at the time: “I flew into the UK last night to appear in my home country in front of my family, friends, and most importantly my UK fans. Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me.”

Cindy Crawford's bad makeup

OHMYGOSSIP — Cindy Crawford slapped on so much makeup for her first modelling job that she looked like a child.
The 50-year-old actress landed her first photo shoot alongside legendary catwalk queen Iman – the widow of David Bowie – when she was at university, which she later dropped out of to persuade a runway career, but now can’t help but look back on the pictures and cringe because she smothered her face with artificial slap.
Speaking to People, she said: “I remember one of my first modelling jobs, where I had to do my own hair and makeup. I didn’t wear makeup; I didn’t know how to do makeup and I didn’t even own any makeup. I had to go out and buy it all. The job was with Iman and Dianne deWitt, and I remember being in the mirror trying to watch and emulate what they were doing, but those girls can paint! The picture was hilarious because I literally look 12 years old.”
And, although she became one of the most popular supermodels on the runway, the brunette beauty feels that her fresh face back in the day is now haunting her because people regularly compare her looks now to the youthful glow she had when she was in her twenties and it really affects her.
She explained: “I don’t need everyone on Instagram pointing out that I don’t look the same way I did when I was 20. I know that. Sometimes when you’re in the public eye, it can be hard, and that’s where you kind of have to work on yourself.
“No matter what I do, I’m not going to look 20 or 30. I just want to look great for 50. I exercise, eat healthy and take really good care of my skin. There’s pressure on women to do the undoable, which is not age. But it’s about looking great for however old you are, regardless of what that number is.”

Dr. Rachel Owen – who taught Italian at the University of Oxford – has passed away from cancer at the age of just 48.
The internationally renowned artist and the ‘Paranoid Android’ rocker met at the University of Exeter and were together for 23 years before they split in 2015. The pair shared two children together, Noah, 15, and Agnes, 12.
Despite Rachel’s battle with cancer, she “asked to continue” her teaching at Pembroke College Oxford, who released a statement paying tribute to the late mother-of-two.
The statement read: “It is with great sadness that the College marks the death of Dr. Rachel Owen.

‘She then moved to Royal Holloway, London, where she completed a PhD on the illustrations of the early manuscripts of Dante’s Divine Comedy. Each year, her Pembroke students enjoyed the pleasure and the privilege of a guided tour through the manuscripts of the Divine Comedy held at the Bodleian Library.
“Despite her declining health from cancer in the last year, she asked to continue to teach, which she did right until the end of last Michaelmas term. She was 48 years old and leaves behind a son, Noah, and a daughter, Agnes, aged 15 and 12.
“One of her latest artistic productions was a series of prints inspired by the Cantos of Dante’s first book of the Divine Comedy. The prints will be exhibited at Pembroke’s JCR Art Gallery during Trinity term.”

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2017 inductees announced

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will induct Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez, and Nile Rodgers in 2017.
The induction ceremony for the seven artists will be held at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on April 7 2017, and will also see Chic’s Nile Rodgers be handed the Award for Musical Excellence.
In order to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 25 years must have passed since an artist has released their first album or single. For Pearl Jam and Tupac Shakur, 2017 marks the first year of eligibility, and makes them the first acts to be inducted into the institution who started their careers in the 1990s.
For Nile Rogers, the Musical Excellence Award comes after his band Chic were nominated 11 times, but never found themselves inducted.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: “It’s sort of bittersweet. I’m quite flattered that they believed that I was worthy, but my band Chic didn’t win. They plucked me out of the band and said, ‘You’re better than Chic.’ That’s wacky to me … I am flattered and I think it’s cool, but I feel like somebody put me in the lifeboat and told my family they can’t get in.”
And whilst Pearl Jam – comprised of Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, and Mike Cameron – have yet to comment on the news, but previously said they would be “honoured” to be inducted.
Guitarist Mike said to Rolling Stone magazine in May: “It would be a great honour. I would be happy about it. But you never know. I don’t know their process and how they pick. It could be a couple of years from now. I mean, Cheap Trick took forever to get in. So did Deep Purple. But we’re aware of it.”
Ticket details for the event will be announced in January. An edited version of the ceremony will air on HBO, and there will be radio broadcast on SiriusXM.

Heidi Klum gets America's Got Talent singing lesson from Simon Cowell

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Klum says sitting on the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judging panel with Simon Cowell has taught her to appreciate singers more.
The German supermodel was joined by fellow judges Cowell, Mel B and Howie Mandel on the most recent series of the talent show, with Nick Cannon presenting.
Klum admits Cowell has a real ear for picking out the best singers who audition and has taught her what she should be listening out for.
In an interview with Billboard, the blonde beauty – who joined the programme in 2013 – said: “Over the years I’ve learned that you should always give your honest opinion, even if that means disagreeing with the other judges or getting booed by the audience! Everyone has their own thoughts on each performance and it’s important to share those. Simon hasn’t really changed the way I judge, but sometimes he does change my vote from a no to a yes. When there are singers on stage, Simon will have them sing a different song if he doesn’t think the one they chose is the right song. He has an ear for that, so when they start singing that second song, I go, ‘Oh my gosh,’ he got something out of them that we didn’t hear before.”
Klum stepped out from behind the table for the ‘America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular’ that NBC aired on Monday night (19.12.16) to make her singing debut.
The stunning 43-year-old catwalk queen made a dazzling entrance sitting atop a giant red and white candy cane dressed in a scarlet Christian Siriano gown which was lowered onto the stage.
Klum – who was previously married to British musician Seal – then performed a duet of Eartha Kitt’s 1953 festive track ‘Santa Baby’ with Sal Valentinetti, the 21-year-old crooner who was her golden buzzer pick from the most recent season.
Klum admitted it was great “fun” to get to sing with Sal and their rendition earned a standing ovation from Cowell, 57.
Ahead of their performance, she said: “I am so proud of him! He truly is one of a kind, and he is going to do big things in the future. The producers of ‘AGT’ thought it would be fun for us to sing together for the holiday special, and I am always game to try! So we have (done) a fun little number. I love singing, but I’m not a singer like Sal!”
Other performances on the pre-taped special came from Grammy nominee Andra Day who sang ‘Winter Wonderland’ accompanied by Charles Jones, the Olate Dogs – the rescue dog winners of season seven – with their handlers Richard and Nicholas Olate, ventriloquist Terry Fator, opera singer Jackie Evancho, The Clairvoyants and season nine winner Mat Franco the Regurgitator.

Lauren Jauregui believes Fifth Harmony are worked like 'slaves'

OHMYGOSSIP — Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui believes the group have been worked like “slaves”.
The 20-year-old band member – who now makes up one quarter of the group alongside Dinah Hansen, Normani Hamilton and Ally Brooke following Camila Cabello’s departure – has been caught criticising the group’s management in a leaked audio tape and has claimed they have been overworked.
Speaking in the recording, which has been obtained by the Mirror Online, the brunette beauty can be heard saying: “They are making decisions on a regular basis to f**k us over, to make us literal slaves, like literally slaves Ally.”
And the musician has claimed her and the group – who are currently being represented by Maverick entertainment company after they changed their management earlier this year – are disappointed they have seen “nothing” from the hard “labour” they have been putting in.
She continued: “We’re doing f***ing labour every day and we see nothing.”
Although the group are disheartened by how much effort they have been putting into their music, the ‘Work From Home’ hitmakers have vowed to continue as a foursome with the same band name and will release more hit tracks in the future, despite the “fifth” part being obsolete.
Speaking previously about Fifth Harmony’s future, a source said: “They will go on as four strong women, as Fifth Harmony. They’re not going to drop the name because someone wants to ruin the party.”
Despite their efforts the remaining members have revealed they are upset by Camila’s decision to quit, and “pleaded” with her for many months not to leave.
In an emotional statement about her departure, they said: “Over the past several months, we have consistently made every effort to sit down and discuss the future of Fifth Harmony with Camila. We have spent the past year and a half (since her initial solo endeavor) trying to communicate to her and her team all of the reasons why we felt Fifth Harmony deserved at least one more album of her time, given the success of this past year that we’d all worked so hard for. We called for group meetings which she refused, we asked LA Reid and the label to step in and try to set meetings, which again, she refused. We even went as far as group counseling which she did not show up to. So no, after months of rejection from her and her team, these supposed lengthy conversations in fact never happened, although we pleaded. We have tried with exhausted efforts and hearts to keep this group alive as the five of us, and we want it to be very clear that unfortunately those efforts were not mutual. (sic)”

TJ Jackson: Michael Jackson was the greatest father

OHMYGOSSIP — TJ Jackson says his late uncle Michael Jackson was the “greatest father”.
The 38-year-old singer – who is the legal guardian of the pop icon’s children Prince, 19, Paris, 18, and Blanket, 14 – has opened up about the lessons he has tried to teach his cousins in the wake of their father’s passing, saying their “core ethics and values” came solely from the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker himself.
Speaking to Barbara Walters for an Investigation Discovery special called ‘Barbara Walters Presents: Michael Jackson: The Man in the Mirror’, TJ said: “I don’t think there’s anything I had to teach them because my uncle taught them everything they need to know.
“All the important things – their core ethics and values are so strong, and there’s moments where I just hear my uncle’s voice come out of them because [of] their love for people and their innocence.”
And the T3 singer says the one thing he does make sure his cousins understand is how lucky they were to have him as a parent.
He added: “I don’t even spend time on my uncle with them as a performer. I just try to make sure that they know their father was one of the greatest, greatest fathers. And that’s why it’s tough for me because he never got to finish his job as a parent.”
The news comes after Prince – the eldest son of the ‘Billie Jean’ singer, who died in 2009 – recently revealed his late father taught him “what it is to be a man”.
He said: “He taught me what it is to be a man; he showed me what it is to be a father. For me, [I want] to pass that on to my kids, or to help someone else who has kids. My cousin TJ [Jackson]’s kids, I treat them as if they were my kids. I have fun with them, I love watching them. That being said, I do hype them up, and they do get wild around me, but I think that would probably be the way to continue the teachings.”
‘Barbara Walters Presents: Michael Jackson: The Man in the Mirror’ premieres on Tuesday (20.12.16).

Nicole Richie: The Simple Life couldn't be made now

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Richie had the “best time ever” on ‘The Simple Life’ – but she doesn’t think the show could be made now.
The fashion designer starred in the reality show with her then-best friend Paris Hilton from 2003 until 2007 and the premise of the programme was to get the two wealthy socialites to try out regular jobs, including working at fast food restaurants, being farmhands and cleaning hotel rooms as maids.
Nicole has no regrets about making the series with Paris and thinks that ‘The Simple Life’ along with other shows such as ‘The Osbournes’ and ‘Real World’ paved the way for reality to become its own television genre.
In an interview with Prestige Hong Kong magazine, she said: “I was 20 years old and I had the best time ever. The only other reality shows were ‘Real World’ and ‘The Osbournes’, so there was no precedent of what this was going to be. That show took us out of our reality for 30 days. It didn’t focus on our lives here. I’ve always been able to maintain a level of privacy because there has never been that focus on our lives here. The concept was to put us in a different state or environment. We were young. We had fun. We didn’t know where we were going. That show probably wouldn’t exist now.”
Since turning her back on reality TV and the fame game, Nicole has worked as a fashion designer, creating her own label House of Harlow 1960 – named after her eight-year-old daughter Harlow.
The 35-year-old star – who also has seven-year-old son Sparrow with her husband, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden – insists she always had creative ambitions.
Nicole – whose adoptive dad is Lionel Richie – began her fashion empire with jewellery designs, but admits she never set out to build such a big business.
She explained: “It was just something I liked doing. I liked having an idea in my head. I would get so frustrated with liking something, and wanting to make it. I remember buying all these velvet ribbons and elephant charms and making chokers for my mom’s friends.
“It would cost me $10 to make them, and I’d sell them for $10. My parents were like, ‘Maybe you need a business partner. You have a lot to work on if you want to make any sort of profit.’ For me, I was just having fun and showing people what I could make.”
And the stylish star admits the business side of her company is still not her “passion”.
Asked if she’s better at business now, she said: “I hope so, although it’s not my passion at all. It’s definitely an effort for me. My husband is much better at all that. I’m fine with that. That’s what a beautiful collaboration is – finding people who have strengths where your weaknesses are.”

Sofia Vergara's frozen embryos to be moved to Louisiana?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Vergara’s frozen embryos could be moved from California to Louisiana.
The ‘Modern Family’ actress has been locked in a legal battle with former fiancé Nick Loeb after he filed a suit last year to protect, and bring to term, two female embryos, which they had created and planned to use with a surrogate during their relationship.
And now a new legal filing will ask for the embryos to be transferred from the Beverly Hills clinic they are currently stored in, to a facility in Louisiana, which is the only state where embryos have legal rights of their own, the New York Post’s Page Six reports.
Nick’s attorney Mark J. Heller told the publication: “Although Nick Loeb is not a party to the existing litigation or [this] subsequently contemplated litigation, he may be a beneficiary if the court adjudicates that the embryos are not chattels but entities with constitutional rights of survival. Such a ruling would defeat [Vergara’s] intention to keep her daughters’ embryos frozen in perpetuity and endorse the irrevocable right of parenthood granted to donors when they contribute to the creation of an embryo.”
Earlier this month, Sofia – who is married to Joe Manganiello – was sued by the embryos, when a right-to-live lawsuit was filed on their behalf.
The lawsuit – which was filed in Louisiana, a traditionally pro-life state that offers special legal protections for frozen embryos – also has James Carbonnet, the eggs’ ‘trustee’, listed as a plaintiff.
Sofia and Nick had signed a contract at the ART Reproductive Center in Beverly Hills when they created the embryos in 2013, which stated neither could use the embryos without the consent of the other.
However, the new lawsuit argues the agreement should be deemed void as it didn’t say what should happen if they split, and it violated California code and Louisiana law.
Nick had previously filed to protect the embryos in California, but reportedly dropped that case after a judge ruled in favor of the 44-year-old actress’ legal team, who had applied to force the businessman to identify two former lovers who had had abortions during his relationships with them.
He had appealed the decision but was turned down.
Though Nick, 41, spends most of his time between New York and Florida, he still serves as a reserve police officer in Louisiana, and is a graduate of Tulane University in the state.

Lindsay Lohan's charitable Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Lindsay Lohan will spend the festive season working in refugee camps.
The 30-year-old actress spent time working with Syrian refugees in Turkey earlier this year and is planning to go back to the country to help those in need.
She told the New York Post’s Page Six: “I am deciding now if I will head back to do more work in refugee camps in Turkey and Antep during or after the New Year.
“The dates are not set. It depends on how Turkey feels after the recent terrorist attack in Istanbul. Not that any attack has or will ever stop me from helping those suffering, those who need our help the most.”
And although Lindsay misses her family, who are based in New York, she is dedicated to helping others this holiday season.
She said: “I miss my family a lot. But they are very supportive and understanding of the fact that my main focus is business, writing and soon to start another film. More so, my work with refugees.
“I always love giving gifts. So yes, for family and friends, most definitely I will be sending gifts. For me, I know it sounds silly, but, I am okay. I like to live by the act of giving. In all honesty, I am good with no materialistic gifts.”
However, Lindsay will also make time for partying and will spend New Year’s Eve in Dubai.
She said: “It will be announced soon but I will be hosting New Year’s Eve at Zero Gravity in Dubai which I am very excited about.”
It was previously revealed the ‘Just My Luck’ star was “passionate” about working with young refugees.
A source said: “She spends time interacting with the kids. Listening to them, hearing their stories. Lindsay has always been passionate about children, especially those impacted by circumstances outside their control. She loves the work.”
It had also previously been reported that the Hollywood star offered to volunteer at a hospital in Istanbul, which is staffed completely by Syrian doctors.
Turkey’s youth and sports deputy minister Abdurrahim Boynukalin accompanied the ‘Freaky Friday’ star on her trip, and later praised her for her efforts.
He said: “The important thing is that a Hollywood star takes this matter seriously and bring it to the world stage.”

Katie Price calls Dane Bowers 'the love of my life'

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price called Dane Bowers “the love of my life” at a Christmas party on Monday (19.12.16).
The former glamour model dated the singer from 1998 to 2000 and when they both attended the EnergySave Christmas bash, Katie, 38 – who is married to Kieran Hayler – made a rambling speech to her fellow guests about Dane.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Katie was meant to be with hubby but arrived on her own. Everyone was surprised there was no Kieran with her.
“They were very touchy-feely.”
In a video obtained by the newspaper, Katie can be heard telling the guests, “Can I just say something, my ex-boyfriend actually got me the job tonight – Dane Bowers – the love of my life.”
Katie previously spoke out about her regret at taking an overdose after she split from Dane, 37, in a “stupid” attempt to win him back.
Katie admitted that at the time she was young and foolish and before their break-up she had wrongly convinced herself that Dane had a developed a huge crush on Victoria Beckham when they worked together on the August 2000 single ‘Out Of Your Mind’, even though Victoria was married to soccer superstar David Beckham.
She said: “Lots of people try and do things make their exes jealous. But at the end of the day they’ve seen what you’re really like, so if you try and look different or go with their mates if they don’t want to know you they don’t want to know you.
“When I was younger stupidly enough, I wanted my ex Dane Bowers back and stupidly I took an overdose to get him back – you do these things for attention. It is a massive thing, it does not work, but I was young and naive, if anyone was speaking to me just do not do it.
“He worked with Victoria Beckham and I thought something was going on, I thought ‘is he obsessed with her?’ It ended up being her friend so my paranoia was right.
“I was so heartbroken and I used to say he was the love of my life, I used to say that without realising because I now consider Kieran to be the love of my life. Dane broke my heart but it only made me stronger. It has helped me to deal with certain situations. I think having your heartbroken is an awful feeling, you can’t explain it.”

Beyonce sued over logo used in Drunk in Love video

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce is being sued for using her husband Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records logo in her video for ‘Drunk In Love’ allegedly without permission.
Artist Dwayne Walker maintains he was hired to create the logo back in 1995 and he previously brought a lawsuit against rapper Jay Z, his former business partner Damon Dash and executives at Universal Music Group back in 2012 requesting $7 million in unpaid royalties.
That claim was dismissed this September after Dwayne couldn’t prove his case and now his attention has turned to Beyonce.
In legal papers seen by TMZ, Dwayne’s new legal case states that the R&B superstar never asked him for permission to prominently display the logo in the 2013 promo.
Dwayne is requesting the courts stop the video from being aired and he wants a share of profits made from the promo in the years since it was released.
In the video there is a quick shot in which Jay Z is seen wearing a diamond-studded pendant which features the logo, however, he is not named in the lawsuit.

Zsa Zsa Gabor died 'peacefully without pain'

OHMYGOSSIP — Zsa Zsa Gabor died “peacefully without pain”.
The 99-year-old actress passed away at her Bel-Air, Los Angeles home over the weekend after suffering a heart attack and her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, insisted Zsa Zsa didn’t suffer at the end.
He said: “It just took 30 seconds and the doctor came out and said ‘Look, there’s nothing we can do any more. She passed away’.
“There was no pain. She didn’t scream or complain about anything. There is no pain pill in the house. She never had any pain over the years, it was just her blood pressure.
“The way I see it, when I felt her hand and it was cold already, she was slowly slipping away peacefully without pain and it was just the time for her to go. She wanted to go.”
Throughout her longstanding career, the Hungarian-American actress – whose film credits include ‘Queen of Outer Space’, ‘Touch of Evil’ and ‘Death of a Scoundrel’ – was best known for her celebrity lifestyle and is thought to be the first celebrity who was famous for being famous.
Gabor had a string of health problems in her final years. In 2002, she was involved in a car crash in Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, where she was left partially paralysed and confined to a wheelchair.
In 2005 and again in 2007, she suffered strokes whilst in 2010, she had hip replacement surgery after she fractured the joint, meaning she was in and out of hospital.
A year later, Gabor had to have her right leg amputated in life-saving surgery after it was infected with gangrene from what is believed to have started from a massive blood clot.
Earlier this year, just days after her 99th birthday, Gabor was rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties. She was later diagnosed with a feeding tube-related lung infection.
Her husband held birthday parties for the star each year for the last few years despite Gabor being unable to leave her bedroom.
Gabor – who is survived by her husband – outlived her only daughter Francesca Gabor Hilton, who sadly passed away in January 2015 at the age of 67 after suffering a huge stroke. She also outlived her sisters Eva and Magda, who died in 1995 and 1997 respectively.
