Arnold Schwarzenegger unveils Apprentice catchphrase

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger has drawn inspiration from ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Predator’ for his ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ catchphrase.
The 69-year-old actor has taken over from president elect Donald Trump as host of the star-studded business show and following months of speculation, the former Governor of California revealed how he would dismiss hapless hopefuls on the premiere of the show on Monday (02.01.17).
Former ‘Jersey Shore’ star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cast member Porsha Williams and TV presenter Carrie Keagan were left facing the ‘Kindergarten Cop’ star in the boardroom after their team Prima lost the day’s tasks, which had involved creating a beauty experience to sell Tyra Banks’ cosmetics line, and creating an original song for gum brand Trident.
And making his decision to dismiss Carrie, Arnold told her: “I really thought that Carrie, you participated the least in the whole thing. Maybe you’ve watched previous shows, and those that were quiet stayed on for a longer period of time, but that’s not the way I handle things.
“Who is taking the most risk, is who it really comes down to.
“So therefore, Carrie, you are terminated. Now, get to the choppa.”
Just a month ago, the veteran action star admitted he was still unsure what his catchphrase on the show – replacing Trump’s “You’re fired” – was going to be.
He previously said: “We narrowed it down to, like, eight of my sayings from the movies and one other option, but even I don’t know yet.”
And Arnold previously spoke of his excitement at replacing Trump on the show.
He said: “I’ve been governor twice in California, and now to go and go to this is terrific for me. And for him, it’s great to go from this to politics.
“The bottom line is, the country, America, where do you have the possibilities to do that many things? Only in America.
“This is a whole new challenge – something that I’ve never done before, so this is really wonderful.
“And I think with the characters that they’ve picked there will be major drama.”

Matt and Emma Willis to renew wedding vows

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt and Emma Willis are to renew their wedding vows for their upcoming 10th anniversary.
The Busted bassist and the television presenter tied the knot in 2008 after three years of dating, and as their milestone anniversary approaches next year, the pair are looking to renew their vows in a “wedding party” that will see their friends dress up in their own old wedding attire.
Emma, 40, told The Sun newspaper: “I want to go back to where we got married, renew our vows and have a wedding party where everybody that attends who is, or has been, married, wears whatever they got married in.
“Brides never get to wear their wedding dresses again, so all brides get to wear their wedding dress. If you’ve not been married but you’ve been a bridesmaid, you’ve got to wear your bridesmaids dress and all of the grooms wear their suits.”
And ‘The Voice UK’ host admits she got the idea from listening to her oldest daughter Isabelle, seven, talk about how she wants to be “a bridesmaid”.
The beauty – who also has four-year-old son Ace and seven-month-old daughter Trixie with the ‘Crashed The Wedding’ hitmaker – said: “That’s what I’ve always said I would do. Now my daughter keeps going, ‘Are you and daddy going to get married again? And what would I do? Would I be a bridesmaid?’
“So that’s what I want to do. It would be great.”
And it is no surprise the ‘Big Brother’ presenter wants to renew her vows with 33-year-old Matt because he is her “favourite man”.
She said: “I love him, he is my favourite man. He makes me laugh and I fancy him still and he is a big old goofball. He is sporadic and bonkers and I want to be with him.
“My bar for marriage is my parents. They’re still together after 40-odd years. That’s what I strive for.”

Gary Barlow slams Simon Cowell for 'waving a contract' at talent show contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow has seemingly hit out at Simon Cowell for “waving a contract” at musicians and not promising success.
The 45-year-old Take That singer is currently gearing up to start his own UK talent show ‘Let It Shine’ – which aims to find five singers who will form a Take That tribute act and will star in a musical in London’s West End – and has seemingly slammed the music mogul, who embarks on yearly searches for talent on ‘The X Factor’, for handing out recording contracts that don’t necessarily bring success.
Speaking to The Mirror newspaper, the ‘Back For Good’ hitmaker said: “This is for a job, it is not someone waving a contract. The record business is very hard now I can’t even predict what is going to be successful or not.
“But with this I was able to sit there and say the reason you are here today is a job. We are going to give you an opportunity to play around the UK eight shows a week. By the end of the year I hope these will be the start of careers of years to come.”
The dig comes after it was previously reported that Simon, 57, was considering taking legal action against the ‘Rule the World’ singer if the format is too similar to ‘The X Factor’.
A source explained: “Simon’s team is keeping a close eye on Gary’s show.
“They want to make sure that it’s completely different to his own projects – otherwise there could be trouble.
“As the trailblazer in the TV talent show sector, it’s no surprise Cowell wants to protect his brand.
“He keeps an eye on all the developments in the industry as they could impact on his business.”
Simon and Gary have become rivals ever since the music mogul suggested the singer-songwriter – who was previously hired as a judge on the UK singing competition – was to blame for falling ratings of ‘The X Factor’.

George Michael and boyfriend Fadi Fawaz were 'estranged' for 18 months

OHMYGOSSIP — George Michael and his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz had reportedly been “estranged” for 18 months before the late music legends death.
The late ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker – who tragically passed away last month at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxon aged 53 – and his 43-year-old partner had reportedly split up in 2015, although the Wham! band member is believed to have “relied” on Fadi following their break up.
Speaking about the pair’s relationship, a source close to George told The Sun: “George relied on Fadi for many things.
“But they had been estranged for 18 months.”
And Fadi – who had embarked on a romance with George in 2009 following his split from his former partner Kenny Goss – has revealed he “never” saw George on Christmas Eve, which was the night the vocalist died in his sleep because he was asleep in his car.
Speaking previously, Fadi said: “I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night.”
Although Fadi took to social media to pay tribute to the ‘Last Christmas’ hitmaker, he has since deleted his Twitter account after hackers posted messages on his account claiming the late star killed himself.
The messages on his account stated: “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George but I was in relationship with george micheal till I found him dead in bed.
“We loved each other very much and we were together almost 24 hours a day..And finally he managed… he tried numbers of time to kill himself many times… the only thing George wanted is to DIE (sic).”
Fadi said: “I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing. My Twitter account has been hacked and closed. It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”

Sam Hunt is engaged to girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Hunt is engaged to girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler.
The 32-year-old American singer songwriter has proposed to his partner – who he has been dating on and off for almost ten years – and the news has been confirmed to PEOPLE by the ‘Drinkin’ Too Much’ vocalists representatives.
And Sam has hinted his fiancée had gone to great lengths to try to avoid being in the limelight in his new song ‘Drinkin’ Too Much’, which he has apologised for in the recent release.
The star has shared a clip of him playing the melody to the single on his Instagram account, which he captioned: “Redemption. New music – Drinkin’ Too Much (link in bio) (sic).”
And the lyrics to the track, which was released on Saturday (31.12.16), see Sam admit his love to Hannah. He sings: “I’m sorry I named the album Montevallo. I’m sorry people know your name now, and strangers hit you up on social media.
“I know you want your privacy and you got nothing to say to me, but I wish you’d let me pay off your student loans with these songs you gave me.
“Every dream I ever had was you. Hope you know I’m still in love. It’s the kind you can’t fall out of.
“Hannah Lee, I’m on my way to you. Nobody can love you like I do. I don’t know what I’m gonna say to you, but I know there ain’t no way, I know there ain’t no way, no there ain’t no way we’re through.”
And Sam believes he should have credited his wife-to-be as a co-writer on his debut album because they are mostly all based on her.
Speaking previously, he said: “I spent a lot of time talking to her about songs. I probably should have included her as a co-writer on a lot of these songs because I spent a lot of time chatting with her.”

Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle change

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow changed her lifestyle after her father was diagnosed with cancer.
The ‘Mortdecai’ star admits she took a different approach to her own health and wellbeing when her dad Bruce was struck down with the illness but quickly realised she didn’t need to go “really fanatical” with her health.
She said: “When my father was diagnosed, I started frantically throwing things out.
“I went through a really fanatical phase of being macrobiotic, and obviously it was motivated by pain. I think that was the hardest and most misguided part … was the idea that I had to go all or nothing. But it’s not about that.”
And Gwyneth insists others that want to improve their own wellbeing don’t need to cut out alcohol, junk food and their other vices completely but just do things in moderation.
She added to People magazine: “We wanted to create the ultimate little tome that explains the Goop clean lifestyle all in one place. People think, ‘Ugh, if I do this, I have to throw everything away,’ but it’s really just about saying, ‘I am willing to experiment in this area’ and going easy on yourself. I drink alcohol and eat french fries. But I’m also motivated to make good changes that are sustainable, even if they’re small, like remembering to drink more water.
“It can be one thing at a time. I just ordered a new standing desk like a complete nerd because there’s so much research now about how carcinogenic sitting is. But, there are so many chemicals in mascara, so maybe it’s buying a clean [formula]. Or, maybe it’s removing fragrant laundry products that are full of chemicals.”

Mariah Carey's investigation into NYE performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Mariah Carey wants to “launch an investigation” into her New Year’s Eve performance.
The ‘Without You’ hitmaker has reportedly ordered her team to find out why her performance in Times Square, New York was plagued by technical difficulties.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Mariah is fuming and has been left very upset for the past couple of days.
“She won’t let this go and believes somebody tried to sabotage her. She is launching her own investigation into the incident.”
It comes after Mariah’s manager Stella Bulochnikov sent a letter to Dick Clark Productions where she accused them of “sabotaging” the performance.
In the letter, she reportedly wrote: “You know her inner ears were NOT working and your entire production team did not set her up to win.
“AND MARIAH KEPT TELLING THEM ON STAGE IN REAL TIME. THEY KEPT IGNORING HER. SHE TOOK A HIT HONORING HER COMMITMENT TO YOU. I SHOULD HAVE PULLED HER OFF THE STAGE THIS IS SABOTAGE (sic).”
Whilst in a statement, Stella added: “We told them [the stage managers] that the in-ears were not working 10 minutes before the performance. They then changed the battery pack, and they were still not working on the frequency four minutes before the show. We let them know again, and they just kept counting her down and reassuring her that they will work as soon as they go live, which never happened – at which point she pulled them out but could not hear the music over the crowd.
“After the show, I called [Dick Clark Productions’] Mark Shimmel and I said, ‘What the f**k happened?’ He said, ‘Let me call you back,’ then called me back and confirmed the in-ears were not working and asked if I would make a joint statement. I said, ‘No way.’ I asked him to cut the West Coast feed. He said he could not do that. I asked him why would they want to run a performance with mechanical glitches unless they just want eyeballs at any expense … It’s not artist-friendly, especially when the artist cut her vacation short as a New Year’s Eve gift to them.”
However, Dick Clark Productions deny the claims made against them.
They said in their own statement: “To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.
“In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television, however, an initial investigation has indicated that dcp had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance.”

Rebecca Ferguson's song request for Trump's inauguration

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebecca Ferguson will perform at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on one condition.
The ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ hitmaker – who rose to fame on ‘The X Factor’ in 2010 – claims she has been asked to perform at the President elect’s inauguration on January 20 in Washington but will only accept if she can perform the song ‘Strange Fruit’.
In a statement on Twitter, she wrote: “I’ve been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing ‘strange fruit’ a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial.
“A song that speaks to all the disregarded and down trodden black people in the United States. A song that is a reminder of how love is the only thing that will conquer all the hatred in this world, then I will graciously accept your invitation and see you in Washington. Best Rebecca X. (sic)”
And Rebecca – who has Lillie, 11, and Karl, 10, from a previous relationship with Karl Dures and a third child, two-year-old Arabella with another ex-boyfriend – is only happy to sing songs that are personal to her as she previously revealed she feels it is a duty to do so.
She said: “The whole album is quite a personal album, it’s an album that I’ve kind of just spoken about really personal stuff on. It is a break-up record, but it’s messy, there was a baby involved so it was a subject I didn’t really want to have to explain. But I think as an artist you’ve got to, because you can’t sugarcoat it and there’s other woman that might have gone through the same who might get something positive out of it.”

Denzel Washington's brain exercises

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington is trying to be more “efficient and effective” since he turned 60.
The ‘Magnificent Seven’ star is grateful to be still reading and learning scripts as he believes it is good for the mind as it helps him exercise his brain.
He told The Sunday Times: “When I turned 60, it was, like, this ain’t no dress rehearsal. Life has four quarters, and I’m in my fourth quarter. In a game, like in basketball, if there’s overtime – and I figure everything after 80 is overtime – well, the only way you can get overtime, you got to be at least tied. So if you’re winning, you’re winning, but if you’re losing, there’s no way round it.
“So I’m preparing for 80 now. I’m more aware of what I put in my body and trying to be the most efficient and effective I can be. How can I get better? Not, what more things can I acquire, or awards? How can I get better and then how can I apply that to my life and work and family? The good thing about our job is, you have to practise remembering – it’s good for the mind. It’s a muscle, and you have to keep working that muscle.”
The 62-year-old actor’s comments come soon after Denzel – who has John, 32, Katia, 29, Olivia, 25, and Malcolm, 25, with his wife Pauletta Washington – admitted he thinks fame is “overrated”.
He shared: “My father worked 50 years for the water department, he was also a minister and he worked three jobs all the time. He made it, he was successful. Celebrity is really overrated – we don’t want anything to do with celebrity. I am an actor.”

Mark Hamill: Carrie Fisher was like family to me

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill felt “honoured” to make Carrie Fisher laugh.
The 65-year-old actor has spoken of the close bond he had with his late ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ co-star, who passed away on December 27.
He shared: “She was so committed to joy and fun and embracing life. She had an Auntie Mame quality to her. I would do crazy things to amuse her on the set. Making her laugh was always a badge of honour. I remember during Empire we were split up storywise; it was a difficult film to shoot and there was a lot of tension on the set. I was off in the swampland with the puppets and robots, but at least Carrie and Harrison got to work with human beings.
“Once at lunchtime she said, ‘You should try on my jumpsuit.’ I said, ‘The one-piece white jumpsuit? You’re what, 5’2″? I’ll never get in!’ She said, ‘Just try.’ I put on that Princess Leia zipper jump suit and it was so tight I looked like a Vegas lounge singer. If that wasn’t ridiculous enough, she had me put on one of those bald cap masks with the Bozo hair and glasses and nose and then she walked me around the back lot.”
And Mark – who plays Luke Skywalker in the science fiction franchise – also described Carrie as like family to him.
In a guest column penned for The Hollywood Reporter, he added: “I’m grateful that we stayed friends and got to have this second act with the new movies. I think it was reassuring to her that I was there, the same person, that she could trust me, as critical as we could sometimes be with each other.
“We ran the gamut over the years, where we were in love with each other, where we hated each other’s guts. ‘I’m not speaking to you, you’re such a judgmental, royal brat!’ We went through it all. It’s like we were a family.”

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna go on hike

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna went on a hike to kick off the New Year.
The couple – who share one-month-old daughter Dream Renée – shared pictures and videos of their relaxing walk as they soaked up the stunning views.
It comes after Rob was admitted to hospital for complications related to his Type 2 Diabetes.
A source told People magazine: “Rob wasn’t feeling well and recognised that his symptoms were diabetes-related.
“Rob has made some changes to his lifestyle, but all the latest drama with Blac Chyna has made him depressed. And he has been on a terrible diet. He hasn’t been taking care of himself, and that’s why he’s now sick again.”
It was previously reported that Rob had gained an “alarmingly large amount of weight after excessively eating” when he was arguing with his fiancée Chyna after the pair briefly separated earlier this month.
After their public spat – in which Chyna alleged Rob was “verbally abusing” her on a regular basis – the 29-year-old sock designer took to social media to apologise to the star.
He wrote: “This weekend I was in an emotional bad place and did some things that embarrassed myself and my family. I apologize and I’m seeking help to deal with my flaws/issues. Please pray for me and I’m sorry @blacchyna. You are a great mother to our child and I love you. (sic)”
The pair are said to have argued about Rob’s “emotional problems”.
A source said previously: “He has absolutely been the instigator in most of their past fights. His emotional problems takes over and he lashes out at Chyna over ridiculous stuff. Chyna just had a baby and he keeps fighting with her over ridiculous things. It’s like he just can’t help himself.
“Whenever he gets along with Chyna, he finds a way to ruin it. He is crazy suspicious and doesn’t trust her at all … Now he keeps fighting with her over issues that his family had from the beginning. He doesn’t trust that she actually loves him and that their relationship is only about money to her.”

Billie Lourd breaks silence after tragic family loss

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Lourd has broken her silence for the first time since the tragic deaths of her mother Carrie Fisher and her grandmother Debbie Reynolds.
The ‘Scream Queens’ actress took to social media to thank fans for the prayers and support, which has “given her strength when she thought strength could not exist”.
Captioning an old picture of herself with Carrie and Debbie, she wrote: “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist.
“There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me. (sic)”
It comes after Todd Fisher insisted his mother “didn’t die of a broken heart” but just “really wanted to be with Carrie”.
He shared: “She didn’t die of a broken heart. She just left to be with Carrie. It wasn’t that she was sitting around inconsolable, not at all.
“She simply said that she didn’t get to see Carrie come back from London, she expressed how much she loved my sister. She then said she really wanted to be with Carrie. In those precise words, and within 15 minutes from that conversation she faded out and within 30 minutes, she technically was gone.”
Carrie passed away on December 27, only a few days after she was hospitalised. She suffered a suspected heart attack whilst on a flight from London to Los Angeles and had to be administered CPR on board. When the plane landed, she was rushed to hospital where she reportedly spent time on a ventilator.
Just a day after Carrie died, ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ star Debbie Reynolds tragically passed away after being rushed to hospital after reportedly suffering a stroke whilst at her son Todd’s home in Beverly Hills discussing Carrie’s funeral plans.

Ben Affleck's struggle with game

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck struggled with fame.
The ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ star admits becoming famous at a young age caused him to make a lot of mistakes.
He said: “I’d always had a strong idea about my values and the direction I wanted to be headed in, then I ran into getting famous and it totally spun me around and I flailed around for a few years. When you’re a young man in your 20s, part of that is making mistakes and learning from them.
“I just made those in front of everybody, rather than privately. There’s stuff I look back on and kind of cringe at but I always tried to treat other people well. My parents imbued that in me and the mistakes I made were mostly just of the embarrassing kind.”
And the 44-year-old actor – who has Violet, 11, Seraphina, seven, and Samuel, four, with his estranged wife Jennifer Garner – is keen for his children not to experience the same fate and hopes he can help them grow up outside of the spotlight.
He told The Observer newspaper: “I think becoming a father makes you see the world differently and it’s good.
“I’m at peace with paying my own price, what I’m not at peace with is when it invades on my kids’ space and time. They didn’t make any bargains. I try to shelter them as best I can. That’s my only real gripe.”
It comes after Ben admitted he feels “vulnerable” ever since he became a father.
He explained: “When you have kids, what’s that expression, ‘Your heart is outside your body,’ all of the sudden you feel so vulnerable and this fear of a child being vulnerable is very very powerful.”

Eva Amurri Martino opens up about depression

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Amurri Martino is suffering from depression after her son cracked his head when a Night Nurse dropped her baby.
The 31-year-old actress – who has Marlowe, two, with Kyle Martino – has opened up about the guilt she feels after her son “suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain”.
Explaining what happened on her blog, she wrote: “A couple of days after Thanksgiving, our Night Nurse fell asleep while holding Major and dropped him, and he cracked his head on the hardwood floor.
“Kyle and I were sleeping at the time and were awoken by the sound of his head hitting the floor, and then hysterical piercing screams. He suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain, and was transported by ambulance to Yale Medical Center where I spent two harrowing days with him to receive emergency care and further testing.
“To say these were the most traumatic and anxious two days of my life is an understatement … You know that I have an (irrational) phobia of hospitals. To be in one for two days under such circumstances was nearly unbearable for me, not to mention how scary and emotional those days were for the entirety of our family.”
And despite what happened, Eva – who is the daughter of Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon – insists she forgives the nurse as she understands that anyone could make that mistake.
She added: “Well, let me tell you – the guilt I bore in the days and weeks after this accident was more intense and more damaging than anything I would wish upon my worst enemy. I had all those same thoughts and more. I wept in the hospital, telling anyone who would listen that it should have been me. That I was to blame.
“The truth is, even this woman who came so highly recommended, with a perfectly clean track record, could make a very human mistake. It “could happen to anyone”, and as they told me repeatedly in the hospital, it DOES happen to anyone. More often than you’d like to hear.
“Obviously, the (extremely upset and remorseful) nurse is no longer working for our family, though we forgive her. And even though I finally made peace with the fact that this freak accident could not have been avoided by me, it has continued to effect me to my core and in all aspects of my daily life.”

Victoria Beckham and Mel C stage mini Spice Girls reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham and Mel C staged a mini Spice Girls reunion on New Year’s Eve (31.12.16).
The 42-year-old fashion designer – better known as Posh Spice when in the group – and the ‘Version of Me’ hitmaker, also 42, performed their classic hit ‘2 Become 1’ at the bash held at five-star luxury resort Amilla Fushi in the Maldives, despite rejecting the chance to be involved in a proper reunion with their band mates, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner.
Sharing a photo of the pair on stage, Mel wrote: “Candle lit and soul forever … A wonderful start to 2017 xxx (sic)”
Victoria and her retired soccer star husband David Beckham – who have kids Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper – enlisted the services of Mel C to provide the entertainment at their getaway with pals Gordon and Tana Ramsay.
A source previously said: “Victoria has been the instigator for the whole trip.
“She’s sorted all the accommodation for both families and ensured Mel is there to perform.”
Mel and Victoria are said to have grown closer in recent months after both turned down the chance to reform the Spice Girls.
The added: “They’ve always been great pals, but have got closer over the past few months due to their shared stance on the Spice Girls comeback.
“There was no way Mel was going to turn down the invite as the gig will be something special.”
However, it wasn’t hard work for Mel as she was joined by her boyfriend Joe Marshall for the celebrations in between performances.
Victoria turned down a Spice Girls reunion to concentrate on her fashion label and Mel later admitted she didn’t want to re-join the band as a fourpiece.
She said: “I know there are people that want to see it. But there were various reasons … but the one thing that I couldn’t get away from was that, we did reunite as a five piece [for the Olympics] and it was so incredible, and for me we are like a jigsaw puzzle and if there’s a piece missing it’s not complete. We’re not a band of interchangeable parts. So for me, it didn’t feel right.”
