OHMYGOSSIP — Sir John Hurt has died.
The ‘Elephant Man’ actor – who battled pancreatic cancer in 2015 – has passed away at the age of 77.
John is survived by his fourth wife Anwen Rees-Myers, who he married 12 years ago, and his two sons, Alexander ‘Sacha’, 26, and Nick, 23, with third wife Joan Dalton.
He was briefly married to Annette Robertson when he was 22 and later to Texan barmaid Donna Peacock.
Over a career spanning six decades, John starred in a number of movies including ‘The Naked Civil Servant’, ‘Midnight Express’, ‘Alien’, ‘1984’, the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise and, most recently, ‘Jackie’.
He was nominated for two Academy Awards, for ‘The Elephant Man’ and ‘Midnight Express’.
In 2012, John was presented with a lifetime achievement award by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth in July 2015.
One month earlier, in June 2015, John revealed that he was being treated for pancreatic cancer.
He said: “I have recently been diagnosed with early stage pancreatic cancer. I am undergoing treatment and am more than optimistic about a satisfactory outcome, as indeed is the medical team.
“I am continuing to focus on my professional commitments and will shortly be recording ‘Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell’ (one of life’s small ironies!) for BBC Radio 4.”
Despite his diagnosis, John remained upbeat and pledged to continue working, and in October of the same year he revealed he had been given the all-clear from cancer.
He said: “I had a final scan and it’s all gone brilliantly.
“I am overjoyed, I am thrilled. It all looks great for the future, it’s fantastic.”
Speaking previously about his obituary, John revealed the advice his friend Sir Laurence Olivier, had given him.
He said: “I remember Olivier, when I was playing the Fool in his ‘King Lear’, saying: ‘When it comes to the obituary, they’ll only ever mention three things, probably two, but if you’re lucky three.’
“And of course when he died, they mentioned ‘Richard III’, ‘Henry IV’ and either ‘Marathon Man’ or ‘Wuthering Heights’.
“I mean, if you write your own obituary, I don’t know, they’d take the things that got awards wouldn’t they? So it would be ‘Midnight Express’, it would be ‘Elephant Man’ and ‘Naked Civil Servant’ probably.
“I won’t be here, I’ll be gone so it’ll be entirely up to them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paula Patton requested a restraining order against Robin Thicke in order to “protect their son”.
The 39-year-old singer must stay at least 100 yards away from the ‘Warcraft’ actress – whom he divorced in 2015 – their six-year-old son Julian, and Paula’s mother Joyce Patton, after Paula, 41, claimed he had punched and kicked her during their marriage and recently stood outside her mom’s house for two hours demanding to see the youngster.
A source told PEOPLE: “Paula very much wanted to keep this within the family, as she believes that was in Julian’s best interest. However, she has to fight back to protect her son. As a mother, it’s one thing to stay quiet if you’re the victim of abuse, but once that extends to your child, you have to speak up.”
Larry Bakman, Paula’s attorney, wrote in the request for the restraining order: “[Patton] is in reasonable apprehension of imminent serious bodily injury to herself and the child.”
And in documents obtained by the publication, Paula accused her former husband of “physical and emotional abuse, infidelity and drug and alcohol addiction”.
The paperwork recalled one incident in 2013 when Robin allegedly “became physically violent” with the actress.
Paula stated in the documents: “[I] observed him to have inappropriate contact with the masseuse … Robin became so enraged that I had interrupted his ‘massage’ that he broke down the locked door.
“Robin became physically violent with me. He pushed me down and kicked me.”
Paula also claims Robin became violent when the pair attended Cannes Film Festival that same year.
She added: “We began fighting. Robin hit me with a closed fist to my upper body and then pushed me onto the ground.”
However, Pierce di Donato, the attorney for the ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker, says these claims only surfaced after Paula found herself in “a position of contempt” as she refused to take a drugs test.
He said in a statement: “Paula never reported any domestic violence until she was in a position of contempt by violating the custody orders. DCFS asked both Paula and Robin to drug test. Robin agreed and submitted to his test, but Paula refused to test. Infidelity has nothing to do with custody. She is attempting to throw anything at him to hurt him, but Robin’s focus is their son.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore is still “in shock” about her divorce.
The 41-year-old actress and art consultant Will Kopelman – who have daughters, four-year-old Olive and Frankie, two, together – ended their marriage in August 2016 but Drew admitted she is not ready to start dating again because she is still coming to terms with the split.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM, she said: “I’m not open to it. I’m just still in shock about everything. It’s going to take time.”
And when Drew is finally ready to start dating again, don’t expect her to use apps to find love.
She said: “I’ve never been on a dating app and I now know that’s the current thing. My girlfriends are on it, so it is fun for me to look over their shoulder while they’re going through it.
“By the way, if you want to date an actor or musician, they’re all on Raya. It’s like looking through a SAG portfolio and going, ‘I want to date him.’
“I remember when you were just waiting for that phone to ring and you were worried because you would miss their call, and then the answering machine manifested and it was tapes and you … kept checking the tape. There’s a part of me that still dates from that perspective and I can’t stand when people want to talk on the phone all the time or text or email.
“My concern with the dating app is always like am I going to be that person that classically meets a psycho and then I end up murdered that night. So that alone was a turn off.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers have named their newborn son Ford Douglas Armand Hammer.
The couple – who also have a two-year-old daughter Harper together – welcomed the tot into the world at a Los Angeles hospital earlier this month and announced his name with a sweet Instagram post.
Armie wrote: “Emerging from his sister’s smooches to say hello. Welcome to the world, Ford Douglas Armand Hammer! (sic).”
Earlier this month, Elizabeth announced Ford’s birth by sharing an adorable picture of the baby lying on her chest and being cuddled by his big sister Harper, as proud dad Armie looked on lovingly.
Elizabeth captioned the snap: “Beyond grateful for the prayers and for this ultimate blessing. We couldn’t be more in love. (sic)”
Armie, 30, had announced in September he was to be a father again, and it seems his fears that Harper wouldn’t like her younger sibling have proven to be unfounded.
The ‘Nocturnal Animals’ star previously said: “I mean, she seems to love it now. If you go, ‘Where’s the baby?’ she’ll rub Mama’s belly and kiss her stomach. It’s really cute. I think when the new baby comes out, it’s going to be a serious adjustment period.”
Meanwhile, the actor previously revealed being a father is “the best thing in the world.”
He said: “It’s great. It’s the best thing in the world. It’s sort of a whole new perspective. I don’t even want to sleep anymore. I just want to stay up and spend time [with my daughter]. I don’t want to miss a smile. It’s the best. I love it. Without getting too sappy, it’s great!”
And Armie recently admitted he never thought he would settle down until he met Elizabeth.
He added: “I was always the guy who thought I’d never get married because [I thought], ‘There’s never going to be one woman worth giving up all the others.’ But she knocked me off my feet.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Fisher wanted Harrison Ford to sing at her Oscars In Memoriam tribute.
The 60-year-old actress passed away last month after suffering a heart attack but six years ago, in an interview with the ‘Rebel Force Radio’ podcast, she joked that she wanted her ‘Star Wars’ co-star and former lover Harrison to sing in her “death reel”.
She said: “I asked him [at a party] if he would be in my death reel, and if he would sing. It’s just something I want. He’s going to sing ‘Melancholy Wookiee.’
“I figured they’ll bring out, depending on when it happens, there’s a lot of people they can bring out.”
When asked if she had ever heard Harrison sing, she joked: “No, and I don’t think we’re missing much.”
Following her death, Harrison paid tribute to Carrie with a heartfelt statement.
He said: “Carrie was one-of-a-kind, brilliant, original. Funny and emotionally fearless.
“She lived her life, bravely … My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her.”
Last year, Carrie decided to lift the lid on her three-month fling with Harrison in her memoir ‘The Princess Diarist’ , which occurred when they were shooting ‘A New Hope’ in London in 1976 and the then-33-year-old actor was married to Mary Marquardt.
Carrie believed she and Harrison – who were reunited in a galaxy far, far away in 2015 blockbuster ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ – got together mainly because they were in the UK and away from their friends and family.
She said: “That’s because everybody was away from home, so them the rules – I didn’t know this. I was 19. No one told me about location rules, or lack of rules. But you can do whatever you want, as long as you film the movie. They can sleep together if their family’s not around.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Holland Taylor says her relationship with Sarah Paulson is “the most wonderful thing in my life”.
The 74-year-old actress has been dating the 42-year-old star since 2015 and Holland is head-over-heels for her girlfriend.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘Sandyland with Sandra Bernhard’, she said: “I’m the luckiest person in the world. I can’t talk about my life today and not mention this wonderful love.
“It has to be part of what is the most wonderful thing in my life. The whole embrace of this wonderful relationship, which makes everything else makes sense.”
Sarah and Holland first met at a dinner party over 10 years ago but only started dating after reconnecting on Twitter.
Speaking previously about their relationship, Sarah revealed she was “absolutely in love” with her partner.
She said: “If my life choices had to be predicated based on what was expected of me from a community on either side, that’s going to make me feel really straitjacketed, and I don’t want to feel that. What I can say absolutely is that I am in love, and that person happens to be Holland Taylor.”
And during a TV interview at the 2016 Emmy Awards, Sarah said on camera: “Hi, Holland – Holland Taylor, if you’re watching, I love you.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ciara has signed a new record deal with Warner Bros.
The 31-year-old singer/songwriter – who is pregnant with her second child – is excited to “make the world dance again” after putting pen to paper on the new agreement.
She wrote on Instagram: “Warner Brothers Records!!! Lets Get It! Proud to announce and honored to join the family! To all my Ladies out there…this is truly a time where we can do anything, be anything we want, & Love to the fullest while being loved in return.. there is No Limit! Dreams really do come true! I’m supercharged to make the World Dance again (sic).”
Cameron Strang, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Records, added: “We welcome Ciara to Warner Bros. Records and look forward to the next chapter of her storied music career.”
Meanwhile, Ciara – who tied the knot with NFL player Russell Wilson last year – recently dropped her defamation lawsuit against her former fiancé Future, the father of her two-year-old son Future Jr.
Ciara was suing Future for $15 million for defamation, accusing him of libel and slander after he lashed out at her on Twitter but she later decided to drop the case.
She filed documents at the Superior Court in Fulton County, Georgia, to dissolve the case “with prejudice”, meaning she cannot refile it, TMZ reported.
In her previous documents, Ciara claimed the angry messages Future wrote about her on social media damaged her “positive reputation” and portrayed her as “controlling, dishonest, malicious, unreasonable, evil, and conniving”.
She also claimed his disparaging comments “scared away an international cosmetics company she thinks would have paid her $500,000”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Lamar Odom feels great after rehab.
The 37-year-old former basketball player – who was previously married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian – entered a treatment facility late last year in order to maintain his sobriety and says he feels better than ever.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Lamar said: I’m doing great! I feel great. I’m alive! It’s a start. It beats the alternative!”
Lamar added that in addition to his children, Destiny, 18, and Lamar, Jr., 15, “being sober [and] enjoying life” keeps him motivated.
Lamar collapsed and almost died following an overdose at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada in 2015 and he believes it was a cry for help as he had hit rock bottom.
He previously said: “Did I feel ashamed about some of the choices I made? I was basically just committing suicide.”
Speaking about his state of mind at the time, he said: “Being in that damn brothel and thinking I was going to just rest a little bit. I wasn’t in a good place mentally before that incident happened. Me and my wife at the time were going through some things. I was in a dark place.
“I guess they say everything happens for a reason. I guess the reason is I’m here. I can tell the story.”
Meanwhile, Lamar – who was married to Khloe for four years before she filed for a divorce in 2013 after he allegedly cheated on her with strippers – recently admitted the only thing missing in his life is Khloe, and he is desperate to win her back.
Speaking about what he wants for his future, he said: “Honestly? I want my wife back.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards has deleted the only picture of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from her Instagram account.
The Little Mix singer only recently started dating the English soccer star but after they were pictured arguing last weekend she deleted the image, which showed Alex with Perrie’s pet Pomeranian and his own dog.
The move has led to speculation that Perrie and Alex, both 23, have called time on their relationship already.
Alex was Perrie’s first serious love interest since her split from former One Direction star Zayn Malik in 2015 and she was reportedly helping him to become a DJ.
A source said: “Ox has a big passion for music and DJing has become one of his hobbies.
“He has decks and often picks tunes for the Arsenal dressing room.
“Perrie is encouraging it as their love of music is one of the main things they have in common.
“She has loads of friends in the industry who can help him out, including producers and other DJs, so she’s told him she’ll put him in touch.
“He’s not planning to be the next Calvin Harris, his priority is football, but he does love DJing and wants to see where it can go.”
However, Perrie may not be mourning the relationship for long as she recently admitted she would love to marry Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal because she thinks he’s “just wonderful”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Fernandez-Versini treated her assistant to a lavish holiday for her 30th birthday.
The 33-year-old singer – who is expecting her first baby with One Direction singer Liam Payne – sent her PA Lily England to the Maldives so she could celebrate the milestone.
Lily wrote on Instagram: “What an unbelievable trip….somewhere I’d only ever dreamed of visiting! Thank you @cherylofficial #bestbirthdaypresentEVER #turning30defintelyhaditsperks (sic).”
Cheryl is a fan of the Maldives and last February, just months after they started dating, she and Liam enjoyed a romantic break together in the Indian Ocean destination.
The pop duo – whose romance was still a secret at the time – went to extreme lengths in order to keep their relationship under wraps, with Cheryl flying there via Kimberley Walsh’s wedding in Barbados, while Liam flew to the sun-drenched holiday destination from London.
A source said: “It was great for Liam and Cheryl to go on their first big holiday away together. The Maldives was the perfect spot as there was little chance of fans spotting them and it gave them a chance to spend time together.
“It was really hushed up and they went to great lengths not to be spotted when they flew in.
“Some of their closest friends didn’t even know they had been away, let alone on holiday with each other.
“They had an amazing trip and it really made them believe they had something special together.

OHMYGOSSIP — Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson have settled their custody dispute.
The 46-year-old actress and her millionaire former fiancé have signed a deal which will give Uma primary custody of their four-year-old daughter Luna, while Arpad will have monthly visits.
Uma told the New York Post’s Page Six: “It’s a wonderful thing to have closure.”
While Uma and Arpad had been locked in a bitter custody battle over the tot, Justice Matthew Cooper encouraged the pair to try to work out their differences amicably.
He said: “At this point, Luna has all the advantages in life. She has two parents who love her, two parents who amply provide for her.
“The only thing that’s lacking – and I hope it’s forthcoming – is that her parents can reach some sort of place in life where they can put aside their rancor and their anger against one another and can join together – never loving each other or even liking each other – at least being able to cooperate.”
During the hearing, Uma – who also has kids Maya, 18, and Levon, 15, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke – alleged Arpad was “aggressive and angry” and got “meaner and meaner” throughout their on/off seven-year relationship, which ended in 2014.
She testified: “He was very difficult to be with. He was very angry. He got meaner and meaner.”
Uma also shared Arpad’s reaction when she told him she was pregnant with Luna.
She said: “Um, he looked at me and said, ‘Well the child won’t share your last name, cannot be a U.S. citizen and can’t have a US passport and will be raised Catholic.'”
When asked by her lawyer Adam Wolff, “What was the status of the relationship following that conversation?”, she replied: “It was terrible.”
She also claimed that Luna has been left upset after Arpad missed some of his scheduled visits with the tot.
Uma said: “When she doesn’t see her father for a long time I think it just creates anxiety. It seems like she’s upset or something is bothering her around the whole issue.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson hasn’t ruled out a One Direction reunion.
The ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker thinks there is a chance of him and his bandmates – Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles – reuniting but says the group will need to “explore their own solo things” first.
Speaking to Natalie Morales and Matt Lauer on The Today Show before he performed his solo debut single with Steve Aoki, he said: “There’s time for that. Nobody knows when. I think we’re enjoying a bit of time to ourselves, exploring our own solo things.”
And Louis’ bandmate Niall Horan is busy working on his own solo album but has decided to delay its release as he doesn’t want to “rush it”.
He explained: “I am taking my time on it. I don’t want to rush it. I said it would be out at the start of the summer but I might push it back now a small bit.
“I don’t really have an idea. I’ll keep writing until it’s there and when it’s there I’ll let everyone know. It’s not going to be all singles.”
However, it is thought that Liam Payne – who is expecting a baby with his girlfriend Cheryl – could be the first to release his debut LP as he’s currently in a recording studio in Los Angeles, California putting the finishing touches on his music.
Meanwhile, Harry has turned his hand to movies and had been busy filming for war drama ‘Dunkirk’ with Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance.
Of Harry’s “gift”, Mark said: “What’s really surprised me is he’s really witty, really funny – he really makes me laugh. He’s been ever so brave, not making any fuss. He seems remarkable … one of those people who has – Sean Penn has it too – a kind of panache. I look at them and think, ‘How did you get that? How do you get so that life is easy?’ But he has got a lovely, lovely character. It’s a gift.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Amurri Martino felt she was “failing” her son when she couldn’t breastfeed him.
The 31-year-old actress struggled with stress and anxiety after her son Major James “suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on his brain” when he was dropped by a Night Nurse.
She said: “My breastfeeding journey got totally thrown off. While we were in the hospital with him, and in the next couple of weeks, my milk supply dipped big time. The stress was just too much for my body, and I had to start pumping to up my supply, as well as use lactation tea to increase it … But then, my post-partum anxiety began, and my milk supply has been so troubled ever since.
“What made this even worse is how much I would blame myself for it all. I would put so much pressure on myself to battle the anxiety so that my son’s food source wouldn’t suffer. When I would fall short (which you always do when you try to strong-arm anxiety!), I would feel even worse for ‘failing’ my son.”
And the ‘That’s My Boy’ star – who also has daughter Marlowe, two, with her husband Kyle Martino – felt incredibly relieved when her son took to formula so well.
Writing on her blog HappilyEvaAfter.com, she added: “I was fighting back tears. I felt like a failure and was worried that he wouldn’t accept the change.
“But Major took a few gulps, and then he pulled away from the bottle, and looked up at me. He cooed a bit and then gave me the biggest smile. My heart just burst with gratitude. I felt in that moment like he was telling me it was OK – not to worry, and that he knew how much I love him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew McConaughey wanted to make an animated movie for his kids.
The 47-year-old actor voices koala Buster Moon in new musical cartoon film ‘Sing’, which also features Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Reese Witherspoon and Seth MacFarlane, and he was desperate to be involved with a family film because he realised he hadn’t starred in anything for years that was suitable for his children to watch.
McConaughey has three children, sons Levi, eight, and Livingstone, four, and seven-year-old daughter Vida with his wife Camila Alves, and he made the decision to seek out an animation while watching a film with them but he had to wait four years for a part to be offered to him.
In an interview on ‘This Morning’, he said: “I got tired of answering the question, ‘So what film have you made that is your kids’ favourite?’ I looked at my last 10 years and I hadn’t really done one that they could see. So I’d watch animated films with them, and I was like, ‘You know what? I want to make an animated film, do some voice work.’ Nobody was hiring me for about four years and then I got a call. It’s a lot of fun, it’s easier than live action.”
Matthew had to gain a lot of weight for his depiction of prospector Kenny Wells in his latest live-action movie ‘Gold’ which he was happy to do for the role.
The Hollywood hunk admits the thing he definitely enjoyed about making an animation is that it didn’t matter what he looked like when he turned up for work.
He explained: “It doesn’t matter what you look like when you do animated films. You can weigh 250 pounds or 150 pounds, no one cares. [‘Gold’] was a blast – all those cheeseburgers and beer!”
Although the Texas-born star has now shed the weight he had to gain for ‘Gold’, his children preferred him with a little extra cushioning and nicknamed him “Captain Fun” when he was 47 lbs heavier.
He said: “I think my kids actually miss that version of me, I was known as Captain Fun.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift thinks Zayn Malik is “really special and wonderful”.
The 27-year-old singer teamed up with the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker for ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’ from the ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ soundtrack and gushed about his “really rare voice” and “amazing” talent.
In a behind-the-scenes video from their music video obtained by Capital FM, she said: “I’ve known Zayn for a really long time. I think his voice is one that is really rare and I think he’s really special and wonderful.
“It’s really, really amazing to get to work together. It’s amazing when you get to work with people who you hang out with. The question of, ‘Will we get along?’, is already answered. We know we get along like, ‘Yeah it’s fine.'”
The pair recorded the video at the five-star St Pancras Renaissance hotel in central London, where they reportedly “trashed the hotel room”.
A source said: “Zayn trashed the hotel room to bits, ripping apart pillows and smashing a lamp up against the wall. Taylor had to light the curtains on fire for her part. The smoke alarms were turned off on the nearby floors so that the building didn’t have to be evacuated.
“At one point Taylor smashed a mirror in the bathroom. All the scenes were carefully planned. It’s going to be a very sexy video. Zayn was dressed dapper and Taylor was wearing garters and heels.”
Meanwhile, Zayn previously confessed his girlfriend Gigi Hadid set up the collaboration.
He explained: “The interesting this was, she is friends with Gi, so she already reached out after hearing it because [producer] Jack [Antonoff] had just played her the song anyway and she went in the studio the next day to record it.
“She mentioned to me that she liked the song so I already kind of knew in the back of my head that she liked it, so I asked her if she wanted to be on it and she was cool with it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell played matchmaker for Jaime King and Kyle Newman.
The 37-year-old actress has revealed how the ‘Frozen’ star constantly badgered her to go on a date with the 40-year-old filmmaker, who she has now been married to for 10 years.
She confessed to E! News: “[I first met him] on the set of ‘Fanboys’ [but I knew I was in love] when I met him again six months later. He had been in a relationship for 11 years and I met his girlfriend first before I met him.
“And Kristen Bell I didn’t know at all but she kept calling me in my hotel room and I was very confused because she was really friendly. She’s a really nice girl but I don’t know her at all. She keeps inviting me to hang out … but she was trying to tell us we were supposed to be together.”
Meanwhile, Jaime – who shares James, three, and Leo, 17 months, with Kyle – previously opened up about how she was left feeling “terrified” when her son went in for major heart surgery in 2015.
She shared: “I was wheel-chaired to him every three hours, so I could breastfeed him and take care of him before he went into this huge surgery. It was a terrifying experience. But thank God for the medicine that we have now.
“I knew how traumatic the experience was, how much post-traumatic stress disorder I had afterwards, and the trauma that I was experiencing before it. It’s because I didn’t know anybody that had gone through it and I didn’t have people to talk to. I have a voice and I want to use that voice on behalf of my son – and I know that my son would want that. I’ve gotten thousands of letters from people and now I have a real community of people to talk to.”
